The movers on both ends of my cross-country mover - pick-up and delivery - were friendly and responsible. I have used this company for two moves and would recommend them. Be sure to try to reserve parking for the truck when the movers are picking up and delivering, or the movers might have to charge extra for additional distance of carrying the load further.

Montreal Movers saved the day for me in June as I had to manage a Canada-US cross-border move during the pandemic lock-down. I was give just a couple of days by the Canadian Border Services Agency to pack up and move my entire life out of Montreal. I originally planned to rent a U-Haul truck and drive my things down over the border; however, there were issues with the U-Haul and they could not get my reservation to me on time. I began searching for companies that could just drive my belongings down to the US themselves and found Montreal Movers. I called and asked if they could arrange a pick up, storage, and cross-border move for the NEXT DAY. They said no problem and that was that. They provided helpful guidance over the phone, arrived right on time the next day, and professionally handled all my furniture and boxes from a 3rd floor walk up apartment. I hope I never have to do a move like this again, but if I did I would call these folks again.

One of the worst experiences I have every had with moving. Very expensive for poor job they do. The movers who picked up were lazy and rude and always complaining. The movers who dropped the package was even worse. Guys starting from Jack and his team and all the movers they sent were rude and never should be running this business. Do not be fooled by the five stars like I did.

Be careful when choosing this company. The price that we agreed had no indication of being in USD (the company is based in Montreal) and no one told me I was paying in USD and not CAD. It made a pretty substantial difference in the end. Other than that the move went well and fast.

Jack was awesome, super responsive from start to finish. This was my first big long distance move, from Toronto to NY. I was extremely nervous going into it, but Jack was there every step of the way. The men who picked my things up in Toronto were lovely, and the movers on other side in NY were equally professional and friendly. Mind you, I was not in NY when my things arrived, this added extra worry and concern that my things would arrive safely. I was contacted every step of the way, I was able to coordinate with the movers from Toronto to ensure my things arrived safely. When I finally got to NY, my things were all in my new place, safe and sound, and just the way I had last seen them in Toronto. Big thanks to Jack and everyone at Montreal Movers for making this transition in my life much easier. I won't hesitate to call if I ever need your help again!! And please, always tip your movers generously!!

I booked Montreal Mover’s on Thursday for a Saturday move. I called again Friday to confirm giving a phone number and email address. Movers never showed up Saturday. Would not recommend.

The packing, pick up and drop off service was quick and professional, but every other part of my move with this company was frustrating and stressful. Communication was prompt up to the point that my deposit was taken, after which point I needed call and demand information on the status of my move. At no point was any information about my delivery date or the status of the move proactively offered to me as a client. This includes emails and calls which were not returned near the end of my experience. Unless you are moving along one of the main routes for this company, the quote offered for delivery time will likely be unreliable. My quote of 3-10 days for delivery to New Brunswick from Montreal turned into nearly a full month between pick up and delivery, with 4 broken promises of updated delivery dates between those periods. I would not suggest planning important dates like a start date for a new job around the reliability of the delivery windows, as I made that mistake. A discount was offered for the late delivered which ended up being $200 off of a total bill of $3,400 which hardly offset the extra expenses of needing to live with no belongings for two weeks longer than was originally promised. If you are moving from Montreal to another major city, you might have a better experience than I did, but I would not recommend choosing this company for your move.

Chris and Bob did a fantastic job, they were super efficient and careful. Not a single scratch on the furniture nor walls. We moved from Montreal to Cambridge, MA with Montreal Movers. They did an excellent job, nothing was broken or misplaced. The movers that came were very professional and friendly. The movers who unloaded the truck at our destination were particularly entertaining, even throwing in jokes during the unloading process! I particularly liked one of the guys who said "where do you want the Picasso?" while carrying in some of our paintings. As well, the price was more reasonable than other quotes that we received. Overall, we were very pleased with the service.

Our college daughter returned to Philadelphia as the border closed, having to leave her belongings in her apartment in Montreal. The lease was running out, another tenant moving in, and we couldn’t cross the border. These terrific people packed and retrieved her stuff and were professional, efficient and quick! Moved long distance from QC to BC. Bad experience. First, they take everything off the truck and ship it on a train. Not sure if this is standard but they never told us. Then, there was a delay due to COVID, which is understandable, except for the fact that they never called us to let us know. We called every day after the 20 day maximum ETA and always got some generic answer like "it should arrive soon/tomorrow" or "we will call you later" (sometimes they didn't). Until the morning it arrived, when we got a call from a completely different company that our "shipment" had arrived. We were also never told that our stuff would be handled by a few different companies. The late arrival coincided with a broken elevator in our new building so we had to postpone our move-in date. They charged us a penalty for this. On arrival, the movers wanted me to sign and pay the full amount before they could move the stuff out of the truck. I did not. Under pressure, I was able to call the Montreal Movers dispatcher and get the above penalty removed from my bill. Communication was never rude. It was just very poor.

We couldn’t get back to NY (due to Covid) to move my daughter back from NY to Mtl. The team packed up the entire apartment on their own. We received everything wrapped and well and organized. Very pleased!
