Don’t move with this company unless you want to go forward with a company that doesn’t care about their consumers. I decided to go with Astral for my move from Fermont to Montreal because the vice-president seemed professional. They took my boxes 1 week after the time they were supposed to picked them up. They were supposed to do the boxing of my kitchen, but I had to do it myself since they couldn’t tell me when they’d come and I had to take my plane for Montreal. I had to suffer the stress of leaving my boxes unsupervised so they can pick them up at their convenience. Then it took 3 weeks for them to give me my stuffs even if they had estimated the transit time as 5 days. I had to live without my stuffs and a small luggage and spend more money on gas for transit to work since I couldn’t move back to my place.Luckily I had a place to stay at and I didn’t have to pay an hotel for 3 weeks. They came up with a bad excuse stating it was because of high season ( instead of poor scheduling and not caring about their customers) and they assumed I didn’t want my stuffs right away.When I finally go my stuffs, there was an item valued at 60$ missing. They don’t call back when you leave voicemails, they don’t call back when they say they will. I asked them for indemnisation for my item lost and have yet to hear an answer from them, despite the insurance paid for the moving trip. They might sound nice on the phone, don’t be fooled. You are better off with their competitor who do long distance move, Déménagement Drummond, with whom I had an excellent service last year but were unfortunately unavailable this year. Don’t go with Astral.
