They were good, but there was 2 things I didn't appreciate as much. First, one of the guy was texting a lot ! And second, my boyfriend and I helped out a bunch to bring some furniture to the truck, including couches, and the final cost was still the same as the estimate cost. I don't know if they purposely worked slower for the cost to rise up, but to be honest it is kind of the impression that we had. Still a great moving company, all our furniture came intact, but I do think the job could've gotten done way faster especially since we helped so much.

This was the first time I got professional movers and I was blown away. The last time I moved I spent over 12 hours moving stuff back and fourth and the next 3 days sore and in pain, and it took me another week to have the energy to unpack everything. This time in a couple hours all my stuff was moved and I was half unpacked within a day and all done the next day. The movers were efficient but careful and everything made it's way safely. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to just pay someone to do something they hate and know they'll do the job perfectly.

The movers were pleasant and truly kindhearted people. They did a perfect job wrapping all the furniture and took great care with moving the pieces which arrived in Ottawa in perfect condition. At the last minute, we requested the move of a few pieces of furniture to go to a different location within Ottawa, and they didn't hesitate to accommodate us with this change of plans even though they hadn't been outlined in our contract. These guys are great! Moved us very quickly from a 4 1/2 apartment to a house. Took less time than estimated. We had to pay for a minimum of 4 hours plus 1 hour travel time I believe, but this makes sense to me as it is the busiest time for moving. The guys were quick, pleasant and didn't damage anything. TLDR, fast/efficient, friendly, careful and reasonably priced. Definitely recommend! These guys are INCREDIBLE. Bryan, Ahmad and Leo came to help us today and they were unbelievably friendly. I felt like I was talking to a friend while conversing with them. We had some issues finding parking spaces at our final destination but they were completely understanding and managed to make it work anyway. We had different items going to a lot of different places so I was worried they'd get some stuff mixed up, but they were 100% on point. We also had some large items that needed to get through some tight doors and down twisty staircases, and they managed to do it without damaging anything. They were extremely careful with all of them our items. They made sure to wrap everything while still being efficient. I honestly don't know how they did it! We were mindblown with how fast they got our furniture in and out of each place. The move was estimated to take nine hours but it only took about four and a half, and I think a lot of that time was due to traffic and construction downtown. My boyfriend and I looked into a few moving companies and they were all similar in price for three movers. I think some companies are $10 or $20 cheaper, but considering how fast these guys are, I think it's better to go with them.

Of all the moving companies I've dealt with in the last 3 years, Bust a Move was, without a doubt, the best experience overall. Crew arrived 15 minutes early, introduced themselves, laid out carpets to protect the floors (winter move), wrapped the furniture for maximum protection, and managed to make a 4 stop move (current location>new location>storage>new location) for a family of 4 in 5.5 hours. Reasonable hourly rate, professional and friendly. Moving can be a stressful experience, but Bust a Move made it as easy and pain free as possible. Highly recommend and will make use of again.

We've been moving nearly every year for the last 8 years and were dreading having to do it again, especially since we were moving from Kingston, ON to Montreal, QC. After trying to find a Kingston company available to move us in late July, we looked up our options in Montreal and immediately found Bust A Move through their great reviews. Rest assured, all the praise is well deserved! They were very quick to reply to our first estimate request and were very responsive afterwards to answer all our questions. Their initial estimate ended up being spot on. Our two movers, Todd and Pat, were extremely friendly and efficient and took great care to move all our belongings with care. They were thrown a curve ball at the destination point when we realised construction was blocking our front street. They were quick on their feet and made our move work through a back alley, all the while keeping our and their spirits up! I can't recommend Bust A Move enough, we're hoping to not have to move again for at least a little while as we're new homeowners, but if we do, we'll definitely be using Bust A Move again!

Great moving company! The entire process from getting a quote to the actual move and the payment were easy and the service was amazing. The team that moved us was professional, polite and enjoyable. The team arrived as planned at 8am and even provided a courtesy call in the morning to let us know they were leaving and should arrive in 20-30 minutes depending on traffic. We started loading the truck at 7:15 am and were at the new place (about an hour away) by noon; a couple of hours later (by 2:00 pm) the fully packed 22ft truck was completely empty. I have to say that I was initially sceptical when reading all the good reviews about this company and did not know what to actually expect. I was extremely impressed with the care the moving team took with my furniture. Everything was individually wrapped in blankets to prevent damage, and runners were placed on my floors to prevent scratches. They were friendly, polite, professional, and worked quickly. They did not require any supervision whatsoever. I cannot say enough good things about Harvey, Kevin, and Nate. They were absolutely awesome and whatever they are being paid, they deserve a raise for how hard they work.

Great movers. Very communicative, clear and organized. Movers are very polite and professional. Price is very fair (hourly). I had an issue where the bed frame being moved couldn't be dismantled because the team was missing an appropriate tool. I wasn't charged for the time they spent trying and they offered to move it for free once I dismantled myself. I got it done and they moved the bed as promised. Most of the crews are experienced but some may not be. I witnessed a few issues with some of my more expensive (wood furniture being knocked into each other without blankets covering them, and a large piece of the bed dropped) and delicate items but got lucky with near zero damage. I would just recommend keeping a close eye on things and speaking up if you see anything that concerns you. Knowing how professional the crews are, even if they were annoyed at this I would not expect it to affect your move or service. Clearly run by a good owner or management team. Good to see them doing well and the praise is well deserved. I will use these guys again.

Friendly, professional, and amazingly efficient movers. The move took 4 hours instead of the estimated 6, and our final bill ended up lower than the quoted amount as a result. When one of the door frames unfortunately got slightly chipped as they tried to get a washing machine through, the movers offered two options: either have a discount off the final bill, or someone will come over to fix it. We went with the latter, and everything was resolved very quickly. The high ratings are definitely well-earned. I would gladly go with them again should the time come for another move.

I've always thought that relying on friends rather than on a moving company was the best thing to do. Bust a Move is the holy grail of Montreal moving companies. You will never find a better price to value ratio in this city with another moving company. The movers were incredibly professional, efficient and fast. They were very respectful of Covid protocols, and had a great attitude the whole time. Moving in a pandemic is extremely stressful, and a few days before our move Bust a Move called us to tell us one of their trucks had broken down, and they would have to delay the time of our move. This made us even more stressed. However, they dealt with the problem incredibly smoothly, still managed to move us in on time, and even gave us a credit for the inconvenience. Our move went great. The guys were very friendly and efficient. I think we underestimated the amount of stuff we would need to pack in the truck, but they managed to pack almost everything so that only a single trip was required. I was able to pick up the loose ends afterward. I don't know how challenging moves like ours are, but it definitely seemed like it was putting the team through their paces. But they got it done. No damage to our stuff (that we have found, but I doubt there will be anyway). There was a minor SNAFU trying to get the king size mattress up to the second floor of the new home, but they managed to fold the mattress so it would fit. That took all three of them, with a little bit of me trying to be helpful while not getting in their way. In the process of getting the mattress up, one of the posts for the stair railing was snapped. No biggie; we needed to fix that part of the railing anyway, and that post was probably going to be removed! But we were concerned that the mover (and I forget his name :( ) got hurt because of the sharp point on the post; I don't think he did, but I don't know for sure. I hope the gatorade we provided helped them along. I'm not sure if they had a chance to nibble on some party sandwiches at the apartment before leaving for the house. This was my second move with Bust a Move (my first was a few years ago, before Terry DiMonte started talking about you on the radio), and the experience was just as good as the first, for what was a much more difficult move.

I really enjoyed my experience with my BustAMove movers. They showed up right on time ready to get things started. My building was out an elevator for repairs so the remaining elevator needed to be shared with the other tenants, but they were super accommodating and were able to quickly find a work-around to make things move efficiently. They were extremely professional and kind, and I felt at ease during what is usually a stressful process. What would have taken me days to move took them under four hours including travel time! They also made sure to check in repeatedly about where I wanted all the boxes and furniture in my new place and I could tell that they really wanted to help me as much as possible—willing to go the extra mile to ensure that I was all set up. I understand the positive reviews for this company, I really do. There are things that went well with our move: the movers were nice, price fair, smooth booking. Unfortunately, the actual moving experience was a letdown. We had a feeling not all our things would fit and this was apparent to the movers when they did their walkthrough of the house. We communicated with them that we didn’t care that boxes were left but we really need the appliances to be moved. They reassured us that there was no problem. As they were loading the truck, the movers took great care to double check with us that they were taking some of the things and they were leaving some of the stuff behind. We reiterated multiple times that we really need the appliances to go and they reassured us every time. Our go to answer was something like “if it can fit, we’d like to take these with us but we really need the appliances”. Guess what? The washer didn’t fit. We couldn’t take our heaviest appliance with us. At that point, the truck was full so there wasn’t much we could do and we let it go. I am still baffled that these didn’t get loaded first. Moving our appliances and especially our washer was a priority for this move and this was communicated multiple times throughout the loading. And yet, Bust a Move fell short. This mishap is costing us a lot in extra money, effort and stress for our move.

Incredible experience! I've had a lot of movers and bust a move blew them all out of the water. I got their packing service and it made my move so easy, they packed all my stuff in 4 hours and it would have taken me 20 easily. Not only did they do it incredibly quickly, but they labeled, numbered, and color coded the boxes and wrote up an itemized list with the contents of each box. What?! I literally could not believe how fast they packed and moved everything. Every single piece of furniture was carefully wrapped in heavy blankets and handled with care. They were also very friendly and up beat. They seemed to enjoy their job and never complained, even when large pieces couldn't fit in the elevator and they had to take 4 flights of stairs. Cory, Jersey and Brian were the moving crew who came to do our pack and move. When they arrived they did a walkthrough to ascertain exactly which items were being packed,which furniture was being moved, and what was staying. Then they went to work. They were extremely efficient, packing and padding up everything before it was taken to the truck. They were very friendly, courteous, knowledgeable about their work, and extremely professional. At the destination they protected our wood floors and steps, and they put everything exactly where it needed to go. The whole move was done in about 2 and a half hours, and that includes about a 30 minute drive to the destination. I tipped them nicely for their hard work. If you need to move anywhere in the Montreal area I highly recommend Bust a Move Moving to handle all of your needs.

We used Bust a Move for our move this past summer from Westmount to Baie-D'Urfe. The service was excellent, both before and during the move. The movers were punctual (actually arrived 10 minutes early), respectful, and worked very efficiently to move our boxes and furniture. They placed boxes and furniture in the appropriate rooms, and even put back together our furniture (bed frames, cabinets etc...). I can truthfully say they made moving day easy for us. I was very happy with Bust a Move movers and have recommended them to all of our friends and would definitely use them again. We moved from a lower duplex (lots of furniture and boxes) and opted for 4 guys and 2 trucks (which was only slightly more expensive an hour ($20-$30) than getting 3 guys and 1 truck).

These guys underpromise and overdeliver! My husband and I had very little time to schedule a moving company to load our Uhaul with the contents of our apartment and were stressed about the logistics. When we reached out to them, there were all booked up on our moving day. We offered to pay extra, and they moved heaven and earth to make it work. Three employees showed up exactly on time, which was a relief since we were on a tight time schedule. They were friendly, respectful, and careful. After looking at the contents of our apartment, they estimated 2.5 hours to load the UHaul with our packed boxes. They finished the job in 1.5 hours. We were able to drive away with our Uhaul so much earlier than we expected, and it made our moving journey less stressful. We couldn't recommend Bust a Move more highly!

These guys were fantastic during my move last year: They called an hour before my booked time to ask whether I'd prefer that they come early or at the booked time. I would have sworn that my sofa wouldn't have fit in the elevator at the destination but they bent the laws of physics for me. Their hourly rate is average for Montreal movers but because they were so efficient, I definitely saved money. They guys worked hard and didn't stop until the job was done. They are prompt, on time, fast and do take very good care about your items when moving. They wrap, wrap, wrap and wrap again your items in several layers of blankets and tapes before moving. And they are extremely professional and pleasant at the same time. A three-person team arrived and all of them were very friendly. There is only one thing that you need to be careful with them: 1) In order to complete your move in the fastest time, they are not that careful with ripping out nails or screws that you use to stabilize your furniture to the wall. We had a bookcase from IKEA that we used a nail and a L-Shape stabilizer at the back of the bookcase to nail it into the wall to stabilize the bookcase and they totally ripped it out of our wall when moving the bookcase and as a result, they not only ripped out the paint but they even ripped out the gyprock underneath it. We actually have to repair the wall over that spot now. To be fair, they did warn about this on their website advising that to remove any stabilizing nails or screws from the wall before moving but we couldn't do it beforehand otherwise our bookcase would fall and there was no space to accommodate the bookcase in the room. So if you have something similar to what we have to your furniture, REALLY REALLY make sure to remove those nails and screws beforehand or remember to advise them beforehand. We couldn't advise them in time because they were moving so fast and the whole moving situation is very chaotic and you really cannot be in all places all at once. And they weren't kidding when they say they really do need you to remove those nails/screws. And because of this, we are taking off 1 star otherwise we would've loved to give them 5 stars. Overall, we had a very positive experience with them. They are the best movers that we have ever had so far and we wouldn't hesitate at all to recommend them to all of our acquaintances. They absolutely redefined the moving industry and we are impressed with what they did and wish them absolutely the best and REALLY wish they are still around when we need to move again for us to engage them again.

We loved them so much after the first move that I when I requested a quote I told them that even if they were slightly more expensive than their competitors I would still go with them. They still quoted under the competitors and then managed to complete the move in less time than estimated! They are so very professional and also just genuinely cool guys. An example of the attention to detail, they took the glass cover off our baby’s changing table to protect it for the move, and they placed it back and secured it in our new house. I moved about 5 times within Montreal and, usually, I hire big moving companies because I thought they are more experienced and more reliable. Well, after a couple of miserable moves, I was stressing out who to hire because moving is awful already. I saw a pick-up with Bust-a-Move logo because is that ever the best name for a moving company or what? Anyway, I thought, why not, after reading their numerous glowing reviews. I got a quote promptly and I took the gamble and hired them. WELL! I was pleasantly surprised. They were on time, their truck was super clean, they wrapped every precious furnitures with super clean blue blankets, they were very fast in loading/unloading 100+ boxes AND they carried/moved my delicate furniture with great care and efficiency. I am a nervous-nelly when moving and they never made me feel like I'm being silly. Super friendly and funny too. HIRE THEM. You won't be sorry! I tell everyone I know.

My second time using Bustamove. The first was excellent, which is why I am a returning customer. However, the second time I got crew leader who was constantly padding the hours like I've never seen before. The team was pleasant to speak to and when you were beside them working, they worked at a reasonable pace, but as soon as they got into transit, major discrepancies started adding up. They took a 20 minute paid coffee break on a 3 hour job, and when first asked about it Mariuz lied about it saying it was a bathroom break - only, he forgot that they used the bathroom 20 minutes before at my apartment. Then there was the driving speed, where when I asked them to follow me, they drove slow. Real slow. To the point that despite driving ~5 KM below the speed limit, not revving my engine above 2.5K, doing full two second stops, I still found myself waving cars by at the stop signs so they could catch up again. This on an empty truck... I spoke to the manager, where they mentioned that they added an extra man to the team free of charge - so I ended up no asking for a discount for the blatant padding. After closer review we also realized that we got overcharged for paper, not a huge charge, but certainly continues the pattern of padding done by Mariusz. The manager was nice and did a great job listening to my feedback. That combined with my first experience means I will likely give Bustamove another shot in the future.

With newborn twins I was very nervous as to how we would take on a move, but these guys were so quick and efficient it was all completed by early afternoon. All three gentlemen were polite and respectful and took such care of our furniture and items (Including three large fiddle leaf trees I was very nervous to move). Every single piece of furniture was wrapped in protective blankets; they covered the doors of both apartments to protect them from scratches; and they took our bed and sectional apart and put it back together. I've never moved with a moving company before, but I've always had a lot of advanced notice when I've needed a move. Plenty of time for me to box up everything, arrange transport, take time off of work, etc. Last Saturday I moved, and I had one day notice. Freaked out, panicked, not sure where to even get started with moving in a day, I called Bust a Move. They had a cancellation for the next day so I got super lucky, but obviously give them as much notice as you can. They came in the next day at 8am, helped me get the whole apartment packed, moved, and into the new place by 1pm. Because I had basically zero notice for my move, barely anything was packed before they arrived, and they got it all taken care of so fast. Shane and Matt were so great, super capable and professional and understanding of the circumstances. They made the whole process fun somehow, even though I was super panicked before. We had some objects that had a lot of sentimental value to us, and they went above and beyond in keeping it safe. We didn't have any missing pieces, the worst thing we found when unpacking was like a broken picture frame? But it was in a box that we had packed ourselves. Genuinely could not shower with enough praise. Trying to move in a day was an absolute nightmare and they made it, not just possible, but fun. Tl;dr: super fast, reliable, personable, and kept our stuff safe. Took an impossible situation and fixed it, and somehow it was fun.

I called them at the very last minute, having to change apartments within just 2 weeks. They found time for me, and the move was scheduled on Dec 14, 2017. Unfortunately, there was a major snowstorm on December 13, and on the day of the move the temperature dropped to about -30. Because of snow accumulation it was difficult to find a place to put the truck. And when they did find a reasonable spot they had to move for snow removal. It was so stressful. But the guys were so great! They were upbeat, energetic, efficient and very, very kind. They took care of my stuff and of me, and though the move took longer than it would have under normal weather conditions, it went very, very well. I will use them again!

This is a great moving company. Our move was a complicated one as furniture etc. needed to be delivered to multiple locations and involved some very tight staircases. It even rained and snowed. I had to move an entire one bedroom apartment into a storage facility on the other side of the province. Taylor, Lautaro, and Thomas helped SIGNIFICANTLY reduced the stress of this move. This includes arguing with the building management for being unprepared for this move even though I booked it in advance AND having the elevator malfunction with some of my belongings locked inside. The building management did not consider this as urgent because there wasn't anyone stuck in the elevator so they took their time calling the elevator company. I had to take a work call, during that time Taylor had a conversation with them. Not sure what he said but the elevator repairmen arrived within 30 mins and in the meantime convinced them to reserve another elevator to continue the move without delay. So thank you so much Taylor for that! Lautaro and Thomas were very professional and efficient and I had a very pleasant experience with the whole crew. These are the kind of guys you would want handling your move. To put things into context, I hired moving services from at least 5 different Montreal moving companies in the last 2 years. This move was one of the more difficult ones I had considering the elevator malfunction and difficult building management but these guys were probably the best movers I had help me with a move. DEFINITELY Recommend BUST A MOVE for any kind of move, big or small (Finding a cheaper company just because it's a small and simple move, I've done that, and those turned out to be some of my worse moves, I almost stopped mid move because they were behaving so badly! You don't want that, trust me) Super easy to book a move, User friendly website, and in general great team. Bust A Move is definitely saved on my phone permanently. Thank you so much!

Moving is stressful enough but moving during the Pandemic brings the stress level to a whole different level . I am so thankful for the whole team at Bust a Move for making my move easy , and removing the stress. From the first moment I called to inquire about their Company the staff was very polite, patient and helpful. The three young gentleman who did the actual move were fantastic. They were on time , extremely polite, pleasant and very efficient. I have used Bust a Move three times, most recently to move my things from a storage unit into a POD for a cross-country move. I was a bit anxious as I couldn't be there to oversee the process, but Bust a Move exceeded all expectations -- despite the fact that the first big snowfall of winter happened on the same day! John did everything he could to make sure my move went perfectly and ease my anxiety. He coordinated everything with the storage unit company and kept me updated by phone and email, and sent photos so I could see what had been done. I had expected at least some breakage on the 5000-km trip, but Bust a Move had loaded my things carefully and securely on to palettes and then shrink-wrapped them, and everything arrived in perfect condition. In all my dealings with them, I have found Jon and his employees to be highly competent, super-friendly, and 100% trustworthy. They provided exceptional personalized service and treated my stuff as if it were their own. I highly recommend Bust a Move to anyone looking for movers in Montreal.
