Had River City move a few pieces of furniture inside my home. They were quick to respond to my phone call, very pleasant, considerate and charged me less than half of what the local (popular) competitor was going to charge me. Very pleased and would highly recommend.

Very poor service.. the owner (old guy) guy comes and agrees to move my stuff for a charge and books a date.. Later when it was time to move, he came along with his people and looks at the exact stuff and complains to have more stuff in the room. Where as the reality was - I haven't been in Powell River for 3 months , and he came and saw the things to be moved 4 days ago. I lost 2 days traveling and the money loss for ferry and staying in Powell River.. Never ever hire these guys .. and I am planning to sue these guys for my loss ... I do have witness to prove the above mentioned..

Called and booked a date and time 3 weeks ago, owner came to see me 4 days before the move, to say they would not be able to move me because the movers refuse to move anybody in the apartment complex I was moving in, because of the amount of stairs....I feel like this is a reason why most people hire a moving company....completely, and utterly unprofessional.....I will never call this company again, nor will I endorse them if anybody should ask...definitely lazy if you ask me....????????????

We asked them to move a piano and they came the same week. They needed another helper so they had to come back a couple days later. But then they got the job done quickly and didn't charge any more money for the extra visit.

We couldn't be more pleased to recommend River City Movers who recently moved us effortlessly from West Vancouver to Powell River. Our place in West Vancouver was difficult access, with a narrow entrance to back the truck into, and two levels of outdoor stairs to navigate on a hot summer day. We are quite particular, but from the get go it was obvious Bob and his team knew what they were doing, and it was a great comfort to feel we were in good hands as the process of moving is always stressful enough as it is. To sum it up, I would say they were reliable, efficient, friendly, and professional. Very reasonably priced as well. Altogether all you could ask for!
