It's unfortunate there is not a 0/5 option. We moved with ABF U-Pack in August of 2010. It couldn't have been a worst experience. They subcontracted every portion of our moving. The packers DROPPED my master bedroom dresser and cracked off the bottom. They assured us they would report it and have it fixed. It was never reported and ABF wouldn't fix it. When we were booking the sales consultant convinced me that the insurance was an unnecessary add-on. That should've been my BIG RED FLAG. They packed everything so badly that everything arrived damaged. Literally. EVERYTHING. Our sofa, love seat, dining room chairs, table, washing machine, refrigerator, dressers, EVERYTHING was scuffed up because the packers ran out of thing to put in the back of the truck and instead of tying the load off, they just shut the door. Everything shifted and shimmied for 1200 miles till it was damaged beyond repair. My floor length standing mirror, a gift from my grandparents, was smashed. My DVD rack was completely flattened. They didn't even bother putting our computer towers into boxes so from all of the shimmying the side doors had come off and the video cards and everything were falling out and hanging by wires. I have had professional moving companies move me 3 other times for LESS money that did a MUCH better job. When we contacted the customer service regarding the broken and damaged items they informed us that for each item we needed a serial number, brand, value, and professional quote on how much it would cost to repair. And at that the MOST we would receive was 8 cents per pound of our load. It would cost me more than that to get quotes to fix all of our furniture as we live in the middle of the country and would have to pay an appraiser to visit. This was the most awful experience I have had with any company of any service field. I would recommend using U-Haul or even a dump truck loaded by 10 year olds before I would recommend this service to anyone. SAVE YOUR STUFF AND STAY AWAY!

I used the truck option at the terminal. It was very easy and much cheaper for an across state lines move. I hired mover helpers to load and unload, which made things very easy. I would use again and recommend this option. It was much cheaper than a Pod.

U-pack deceived me. They have hidden costs which they don't mention when you are signing up with them. They charged me almost 1000$ to deliver 2 relocubes to Chicago and stored them for a month. When I asked them to deliver relocubes to my new house, they told me that they will charge me another 450$ which they never mentioned before. If you can, avoid them and go PODS or U-haul.

I used Upack to ship some of our stuff to Florida and was very satisfied - I packed the truck in Ohio and unpacked it in Florida - there are some things you need to think about - You have to pack your stuff very well to protect it and then when you pack the truck you need to pack it very well to utilize all the space to the ceiling and remember to buy ratchet straps to strap it in every few layers to keep the stuff from moving. The walls they install are sheets of plywood with a latching mechanism attached - you need to fill the entire space with your stuff or it could shift if there is a gap. Pack everything tight and strap everything even the last stuff by the wall. One last thing the walls don't line up perfectly with the footage so if you are only using 5' you actually get a few extra inches which is good or bad if you leave a gap. Pack everything tightly because it is going to bounce and shift going down the road. Good Luck

Has packing materials that satisfied our needs for a pack job however they did not have everything we needed but was a good place to get a big bundle of bubble wrap and 2 cube cartons for us to pack up a house.

Everything went so smoothly with U-PACK and the ABF freight Co. that U-PACK uses in Kent Ohio. We knew everything we needed to know beforehand, during the trip down to Florida, and upon delivery. The furniture arrived at our home 4 days after it's departure, sooner than we thought and in the condition it left in. The several beginning phone calls and every other ones were answered by very kind and helpful representatives and employees. Thank you, U-Pack and ABF Freight..

Was great service until I found out the "guarantee" for delivery is a scam. Paid $225.00 and was told over the phone the trailer would arrive between 9AM-11AM only to find out later the guarantee doesn't include a time frame just a date. I would have been okay with this if I wasn't lied to over the phone when I purchased the guarantee. I move across the country at least once a year for work and will NEVER use Upack again and will have all co-workers avoid as well. Called and complained in a very polite manner and was basically told thanks for the extra cash, sucker.

There are so many unfavorable reviews for U-Pack but I can personally recommend them after using 3 Relocubes to move between states. Their service center agents were fine, the drivers were very kind, and my stuff arrived as advertised. Only one thing broke and I can clearly see how it was a result of my packing. I can’t speak for other guests that say everything arrives broken, which I was worried about, but I used cardboard boxes, bubble packing, tie-down, and filled every spot with heavy on bottom.

From the truck driver dropping off the trailer in Ohio till dropping off the trailer at our storage unit in Colorado was great. Everyone was helpful and courteous. The time line they gave us for drop off and pick up was spot on. We packed everything as tight as possible and nothing was broken. I would recommend U-Pack to anyone.

From dropping off the container to fill to go from Ohio to Nevada....awesome. Delivery was absolutely effortless in Nevada. The terminal manager, the gal who scheduled the delivery and the driver who delivered......I would use their services again in a heartbeat! They were 1/3 the cost of other freight companies I checked into. Thank you ABF for your professionalism from start to finish!

U-Pack did all things on time per the schedule set. The value is unbeatable. But you have to find the right person (Who's willing to work with you. My case was Nick at Portland Office.) to help you in case of a conflict on time. Do not put expensive stuff near the separating boards because they may be pushed toward your load section.

When I opened up everything was just like I packed it both my 50-inch flat screen TVs was just like I packed it nothing was wrong with them it was a great service to me no leaks and the thing my stuff wasn't wet my stuff wasn't messed around you just have to pack it right when you pack that thing it packs a lot of stuff but you have to know how to pack it taught me a lot too on how to pack and how to make space for things that I thought couldn't be made space for so you just got to use your brain use your mind and I'm packing in nice and neat think about every move you make when you pack man you can get a whole house in that thing they small they look small but they can fit a whole lot it was a great service for me I like it and I would use it again and I would refer to anybody and it was the cheapest service that I found on site no one's going to beat their price at all specially for out-of-state move no one
