Had a fantastic experience with Metro Vancouver Moving company. The staff were very professional and really knew what they were doing. Very fast and efficient. The lead person Sam was fantastic and his team with Marcus and Vladimir were great. We felt very comfortable in how they handled our delicate items and had some nifty tricks in getting around difficult big items. The best part were the use of their moving boxes that they gave to us a few days prior to moving to safely pack and store many small items and appliances. Wow what a great service. I recently hired Metro Vancouver Movers for a move from one high-rise to another. From start to finish the experience was first-rate! They provide 3 sizes of moving storage totes (free of charge only a deposit is required until they are returned), which is incredibly convenient. They dropped they them off and brought them to my door exactly when they said they would:) The two movers who actually did the move were great! They worked very hard, were extremely professional and attentive to the care of all my things. The move was very fast, considering I was moving from one high-rise to another high-rise building, which is a money saver when you are paying by the hour. Nothing was broken or damaged in the move. When I finished unpacking I simply contacted the owner and within an hour a person came and picked up the totes and returned my deposit in cash. I have moved a couple of times in the past 10 years and can say without a doubt this was by far the best company I've used both in terms of convenience and in terms of being very cost efficient! I highly recommend them!

Great movers and the provided moving bins are a huge help at organizing before the move and cutting down on waste. Metro Vancouver Movers moved us from our 1br apartment into our new home in Vancouver and it was a great experience. Dakota, Sam, Mohamad, and Mustfa hustled hard today and provided great service to complete the entire move in 2 hours instead of the 4-5 we booked. Getting those extra hours to start unpacking and cleaning was a big benefit.

These guys are awesome! We had Metro Van Movers out on one of the hottest days of the year to move the entire contents of our house to our new home in a neighbouring community. We also had them come out a couple of days early to dismantle and prep furniture for moving day - which I highly recommend. That process in itself took about 4 or 5 hours and saved a lot of time and hassle on moving day. Our movers were super friendly and polite, very careful with our stuff, and extremely efficient. They made 3 trips over the course of 6 hours and got us completely moved out and in on time. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking at moving services in the area - they are heads and tails above anyone we've used before. And the box rental is a great additional service.

What a great experience. I would highly recommend this company. I love that they bring boxes before you move and pick them up after you unpack it makes it very convenient. Sam, Fahed and Redik came to do my move. I was really blown away by there work ethic and by their warm and professional maners. I have a lot of stuff and it was a gruelling day for all of us but they continued to.work incredibly hard all day and were lovely and polite throughout it all.They took apart all my furniture and reassembled them in the new place. Thank you so much!! I hope to not have to move again for a very long time but if I do I will defiantly be calling again.

My move was not easy at all. My furniture had not standard dimensions and as a result, it did not go though the entrance door. We had difficulties fitting my large sofa on the building (both stairs and elevator) and they were proactive and resourceable, trying everything possible to finally get my sofa in without any damage! Tried out because my go-to piano mover retired. Guys were nice though pianos are NOT supposed to be placed on their side. They were unable to maneuver the piano upstairs which had a corner. What usually takes 2 people with my other movers this time took 3 and they were still unable to get the job done and dented the wall of my new home in the process. Had the audacity to ask for more than original quoted cost as well. They suggested we hire a crane to have the piano moved into the 2-story home through our balcony lol. I understand they tried what they could but definitely would not recommend for piano moving. Asking for a higher payout after denting my wall was super unprofessional as well.

Had such a bad experience moving because of these guys. There were 3 men hired to help us move but my roommate ended up having to help them carry our things up because they were EXTREMELY slow! There were so many moments where I had wondered if they were even coming up anymore. Of course by the end of it, we were quoted so much more than expected due to their dawdling.

Metro Vancouver Movers claims to be professional movers, but I found them to be VERY unprofessional. What professional business would neglect to have your moving date on their schedule? On the day of my move I had to phone them, only to get a voice mail twice. When they finally arrived, they were already 1 1/2 hours late. Then, the owner/manager, Farshad tried to make excuses for why I wasn't on their schedule. We all know that moving is always stressful, but it shouldn't be a NIGHTMARE!!! Shirley

Looking for help to load a large storage container for my move, I called Metro Vancouver Movers because of the high review rating. The stars are well deserved! From that first call thru to job done was amazing - professional, friendly, knowledgeable, prepared and reasonable pricing. Colby & team arrived early, worked thru the 4+hrs (as quoted) and worked hard. Worth every dollar!

Avoid if at all possible. Quoted that a move would take under 5 hours, ended up taking 7 hours and going way over budget. I moved last year from a walk up, with the same amount of stuff, and it took them half as much time. Moreover, movers took up to 20 minutes between loads. I gave 2 stars because they did get my stuff from point a to b. Response: Like most reviews here, you decided to get defensive. You have my contact information and I'm happy to discuss how across the board things did not work. Also, I was not speaking about how long it took to drive from one location to the next, I was speaking regarding how long EACH load took to go from apartment to truck, and visa versa. 20 minutes to take down a SINGLE LOAD, from the 2ns floor, by elevator. I have a new flooring in my townhouse, no damage even though the stair lay out is very difficult and there are two 90 degree turns. Used Metro Van Movers in April 2021 for a move, and the experience was great! They had free totes we could use for packing which they dropped off 2 weeks in advance and picked up the week after our move. The movers we had (Will, Vladimir, and Luke) were top notch; friendly, on-time, worked hard, and needed minimal instruction. They knew what they were doing and I had full confidence in them. They packed up larger items, protected our artwork, and even disassembled and reassembled our bed. They got everything moved and assembled in less than 7 hours (including transport time) and I never had to lift a finger. It made what is normally a stressful day an absolute breeze! I will be sure to recommend Metro Vancouver Movers to anyone who is planning on moving; it was a great experience.

I'm really, truly impressed at the 5 star reviews, I only wish I had had the same service. We had been offered 5 hours/1000$ in moving assistance and gladly took it. Our 2.5 bedroom house was packed and only half our things were taken. None of our chairs, our sofa, dining room table or plants were taken. The truck was inefficiently packed and even with 45 minutes left refused to travel 1km to bring part of another load. For the price paid the service was inexcusably poor, with half a job done.

Metro Vancouver Movers went above and beyond! They delivered a large credenza for my client and then when another delivery company was going to leave me with a large crate containing a desk on the street they offered to help me move this in as well! Life savers! I would use them again for sure.

It took 6 hours to load packages from my 2 Bed room into the truck and 10.5 hours overall for the move, which I felt was a bit too long. I was given an initial estimate of 5-6 hours for overall move for a 2 bed room. One of their employees had surveyed our house before the move and suggested that we take 2 persons to move, which I now feel was a 3 person job. Their truck size was small and they spent a lot of time reshuffling items within the truck to make space. This wasted a lot of time too. They took frequent breaks of 15 mins during the move and the truck reached the destination 30 mins later than us but none of that was discounted. There was no breakage during the move that I am happy about. I am happy with their packing service but will not recommend moving through them.

Great working with Metro Vancouver Movers for our long distance move from Calgary to Vancouver. Communication was excellent over the phone and they accommodated a couple of date changes without any hassle. They showed up on time in Calgary, well prepared with all necessary moving equipment and worked quickly and efficiently to safely load all of our boxes and furniture. The owner is nice. But one of the staff was a bully and snapped at everyone including the building manager and the client. This is the second time we used them and had a bad experience, thought we'd give them another chance. Wont be making that mistake again. This was the second move that almost got stopped by strata because staff could not behave with diplomacy. There were two guys, one guy was nice and tried to keep the other guy calm and make the move work. I'll give him credit for his effort. He was polite and treated everyone with respect. They other guy who was the driver left out clients upset. The first day for a person in their new home should not be one where they get rude and disrespectful treatment. Not all the staff were bad. It was just one but he made it difficult for everyone. When we refer someone to our clients our reputation is on the line too. My clients happiness and customer service is important to me. Edit is a response to your comment: no family members have posted. My brother and I are your clients. We are Realtor partners our who provide clients with moving services as part of our package. And this was the second move that was a screw up. Hence, we have every right to post a review. Second chance is good enough. Soon after you spoke to your staff he was defensive and challenged us. Kept asking us what he did wrong in an aggressive manner. No apology nothing.

TOP NOTCH Moving company!!! They actually deserve more than 5 stars, they truly do. MVM is a great team of movers that showed up on short notice to move our familie's belongings. They went above and beyond while taking great care wrapping our furniture/tvs and in moving our belongings. All of our items arrived in great shape and some were even wrapped or secured properly when they noticed we had failed to do so. They carefully wrapped my flat screens and I noticed they even made sure everything was secured inside the truck with straps. I was very impressed with this company that deserves your moving business and will get my future business for sure. I've seen and interacted with many businesses and often times find them unprofessional and lacking in basic people skills. This large crew 6-7 guys including Farshad was very personable and professional and went the extra mile. A great team and nice guys all around. With Metro Vancouver Movers I had no problems at all. I felt so pleased I tipped the crew $50 (a lot to me on a tight income) and told Farshad I would be pleased to write them a positive review even though he never asked. We hired this company to move us in June 2020 after a friend recommended them and the great online reviews. At first, things seemed great, I called to book them in and advised I wasn't sure what we needed and described the place we were moving from and left it up to the representative to let me know what he thought we needed as far truck size and number of movers. The person on the phone recommended 2 movers and 3 tonne truck at very reasonable rates. He assured me that movers would be wearing masks and gloves and not to offer any refreshments/snacks as a result of COVID-19 safety measures, which we appreciated. The movers arrived a bit early, which was great and there were 6-7 people that showed up. Farshad explained that the move would be at least 3 hours just to load the truck up, but to help speed things up, he would have the whole crew that was with him help out for 15 minutes with no extra charge. We really appreciated that. HOWEVER, 1 person out of all of them wore masks and gloves and they just left it on the fireplace for us to clean up. This is NOT what was described on the website and what was described to me. Somehow our infant gate was completely broken. It wasn't even locked in place - the gate was ripped out of one side of the wall, which we only discovered when we came back to clean up. When it came time to move us into the new location, the couch was scratched, shelves in our bookcase were clearly dropped and damaged. My partner witnessed ONE person trying to move a double size mattress which ended up being dragged on the ground which we have now had to get rid of because we can't get the greasy dirt and mud stains off of it. I'm no professional, but wouldn't a mattress be something that 2 people should carry in to avoid it from being dragged on the ground??? One of the 2 movers took their shoes off in the new place that had just had the carpets cleaned. When I contacted the company about the mattress, they offered a 50.00 refund. Then we discovered the broken child gate, we got the following response: Hi Sorry to hear In fact we brought your expenses at least 150down with extra people who helped I did my best offer and I was expecting to keep you happy I am sorry that it didn’t work and still you are disappointed please let me know if I can help you thank you What this sounds like is this company justified the damage they caused by saying that they saved us money. While we appreciate the effort to try and keep expenses down for clients, this should not come at the expense of damaging the client's property with decisions like using one mover to carry a double size mattress. Besides, what money did we save when we had to spend a lot more than $50.00 to replace the mattress and the gate?!

Farshad is a well spoken and extremely patient person. I might have picked his brains for so many things before the move ,but he answered all my questions patiently. They do provide you boxes 15 days before the date of the move which does help a lot. The movers, David Julian and Brandon were extremely efficient and professional in their work. They double checked that everything was packed properly , and even helped me with some last minute packing. I had an IKEA bed frame(MALM Queen size) that needed to be dissembled and assembled back, David did that in a matter of 10 minutes ,which was impressive as this particular frame is notorious for being difficult to dissemble . 1 star for the company and events that took place BUT 5 stars for all of the workers who worked their butt's off. Firstly, I received a call at our scheduled time to say they would be 15 minutes late- they were an hour. I was quoted 2 men for (minimum) 3 hours- 8 men showed up so obviously they make some excuse as to why I should pay more to have the work done on time- then when it came time to paying they tried telling me we'd agreed on a higher number. Overall was a bad experience and I would NOT recommend them to anyone!

I had a pool table that needed to be disassembled and moved from Calgary, AB to Abbotsford, BC. In doing my research, almost all of the moving companies I contacted would require us to have the pool table disassembled and crated by a pool table co. first and then the moving company would move it from there. In addition, many of these moving co's. were not that excited about moving JUST a pool table, so indicated it could take several weeks to find a load they could add it on that was scheduled for this same route. I contacted MVM and Farshad returned my call promptly. He advised they had the expertise to do both the disassembly/ reassembly and the moving of the pool table. He also had a truck & crew that could be at my home in Calgary within 2 days and have the pool table in Abbotsford within 2 days after that; quote was reasonable and in line with the "combined" quotes I had from other movers and pool table co's. Arman lead the job; communication was very good; arrival and destination times as promised; professional from start to finish. I would not hesitate to recommend MVM to others.

As to the response to Andrea Peterson. We hired three movers for a two bedroom apartment as we explained that things were all brand new and very expensive. I personally took things apart and wrapped them. There are no surfaces in the apartment that a glass table could chip. Regardless if you wrapped it; the only way for the glass to chip was to place it on its corner against concrete or asphalt. Only use this company if you are on a budget and don't really care about your high quality furnishings. I'm not even going to expand further on scratches on other items or showing up 55 minutes late. Its just amusing what excuses this owner comes up with. It is Impossible for an exacto knife to chip 8mm glass. Originally the dynamics of the move waranted 5 stars. Upon noticing damage and how you dealt with it warrants 0 stars if I could. Next time I will hire professional movers not mediocre ones. I guess its cheaper to pay for your reviews than to actually advertise

They initially brought a smaller truck than required for the move, but they made it right without any hassle. I also LOVE the fact that they offer free boxes for moving which they delivered around 10 days before the move. They are the sturdy HDX boxes from home depot. All boxes were washed and clean before they arrived. Despite my expectations l regret that l gave this company my business and used them for my move. If you’re considering using this company please be cautious about their hidden costs! The owner of the company gave me an estimate that was not near what l ended up paying in CASH!! He superficially mentioned the price of plastic wraps and packaging the required furniture which didn’t seem to be a big of a deal at first. They charged me real good for that and in return they damaged two of the three expensive leather sofa and chairs to the point that l complained to them. The owner of the company never responded to my complaint! A simple apology even would have been nice! If you’re choosing this company please don’t fall for their advertisement ... l’m sure they have many friends to write them good reviews! In reply to your response Mr. Farshad: The 32 emails between us is irrelevant to what l am complaining about! Besides, yes it’s the 21st century people text or call each other for simple things . You specifically said that you only are comfortable with email. The content of the emails are nothing but simple chats! So l don’t know what’s your point! Yes l stopped emailing you as your worker who came to get the boxes from my place on May 13th took pictures of my damaged furniture! If you’re really reliable why you didn’t take any action regarding the damaged that was done to my stuff after paying all that money for packaging and wrapping things. You advertised that you guarantee your work. I see how!!! I put the review a month after because l gave you time to take some responsibility for your costumer service! The fact that you provide boxes as part of your service was one of the reasons that l chose your company so as a businessman you are just gathering costumers!! You didn’t do especial service for me! I had a price code from another company for 1200 dollars in total including everything, they even promised to keep my stuff in their truck for 24 hrs if there was a problem. No extra charge! I regret that l chose you over them especially now that you still not even mentioning anything about my damaged furniture and trying to protect yourself!!! Good luck !

They repackaged some things they saw weren’t done properly at no extra cost and without asking. They were professional from the start. The fact that they provided the empty bins to assist with packing was fantastic at avoid me scouring the city for boxes that I would have to dispose of. The drivers same on time and prepared with necessary additional bins and blankets to protect my items. We have moved 3 times in the past year and have used different movers each time, however these guys were hands down the best! Alex and Brandon were so friendly, efficient, professional and patient throughout the whole process, even with unexpected things out of our control (for example our building manager was late in locking the elevators for us, there was construction that day all around our condo with nowhere to park etc etc). Our valuables were wrapped in blankets with great care, ie. piano, glass table tops, flatscreen tv, and they skillfully maneuvered a large tv stand around a sharp corner with skill (a different company we hired had actually scratched our wall with it when we moved in and hadn’t bothered wrapping it as well). They were on time and moved quickly, took about 5 hours for our 2br apartment including travel time, which is quite fast considering the large items we had and the distance from elevator to door/truck. The prices are very reasonable and from first contact to invoicing, the owner/manager replied quickly each time and laid out all the information for us with no unexpected or hidden costs. Highly recommend and we will use them again 100%!

I've used Metro Vancouver Moves 3 times now. The first time, they were fast and were very careful with my furniture. The second time, they were fast and there was some damage. This last time, though, they were slow, they were extremely disrespectful to my stuff, and they took some lengthy weed-smoking breaks. When I called mid-way through my appointment to complain to the owner after I noticed my new dresser completely dinged up, he said that the movers claim they can't see the damage. I sent the owner a photo, and did not get a response. The owner said that I should pay whatever I felt comfortable, and I did. I paid for 2 of the 4 hours they were there (which was twice the time it took last time to move the exact same stuff). I would not recommend. They did not use moving blankets, they barely used any plastic wrap, and they did not use any care when moving my things. I will never use them again, and I would encourage those interested to look elsewhere. The only reason I've given them the extra star is because they were cheap - I can use the money I "saved" by not going with another company to hopefully get my dresser, desk, and bed frame repaired and to replace the lamp that was snapped in two.

They brought all the plastic crates, loaded it all, wrapped and disassembled furniture, did balcony drops, everything. Then we had 3 weeks to unpack before they picked up the crates. On the day of the move, Arman and three other gentlemen did my move. Sorry, I don't remember the other three names. Everything was AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING. I cannot say enough. They were on time, fun to work with, efficient, professional, hard working, polite and organized. They did a wonderful job. Wonderful is not even enough to describe their work. They wrapped everything very carefully. They took care of every single item like it's their own personal stuff. They disassembled and assembled items. They even fixed a part on my bed that was broken many years ago. I have lots of stuff e.g. three queen size beds, dressers, dining table, huge heavy furniture, bookshelves just to name a few. There is nothing negative I can say about this company and their team. The plastic moving boxes are free of charge (as many as you want) which makes your packing a lot easier and smoother. You don't need to spend time and money to buy boxes, tapes and etc. The wardrobe boxes that they brought on the day of the move were extremely helpful. You don't need to pack your clothes. Just hang them in the box and then hang them again at your new place. It saves lots of time. Nothing negative I can say about this company and the moving team. Everything was absolutely prefect and beyond expectation. I definitely use this company again and I for sure recommend them to families and friends.

We are a young family and were moving with a little baby. They took the hassle out of the move and made it seem incredible easy and hassle free. Our piano wouldn't fit up the stairs, so Farshad (the owner) arranged for a crane to come the following day to lift it to our balcony. He insisted that we only needed to pay for the crane, but he came personally to assist with the loading, unloading and moving our piano into position inside our townhouse. This is the best moving company I had experienced so far. I had ordered three persons for help - Said, Ali and the other one (I forgot his name) I thought I need 10 hours to finish the moving but they only used half of the time (5 hours) They are the best because of the following: 1. I hired three movers as all my furnitures were big pieces and I didn’t want fatigueness to be an issues. I wrapped and inspected my furnitures before-hand to make sure there were no prior damages. They moved everything in and asked if I would like them to help assemble it, which I declined as I wasn’t sure of where i would place it. After a day of settling into my new place, I decided to assemble the furnitures. After careful inspection, I saw that my glass dining table was cracked and the legs on my chairs were all scratched. I called and asked them about this only to get a rude response of “ you should have inspected it when the movers were there”. He said he would talk to the team that did the move and find out about what happened and he will call me back the next day. It’s been 2 days and no call back to update me or anything. Very disappointed in the level of customer service as I booked them through a recommendation of a friend. The move was on a Wednesday; I called to let you about the damage on a Friday. Secondly, I didn’t know a an exacto-knife can chip a glass table. The 5-star rating was based on the move that day, after inspecting all my furnitures and seeing how you are handling my experiences afterwards has left us to changed the previous rating. We are very meticulous in handling our furnitures, if any damages were done prior we would not be calling. An apology, a gesture or even a call-back to try and rectify this situation would have appreciated instead of rude comments and defensiveness. Your blantly disregards to a customers concerns once payments has been made shows your company lack of customer service. Moving day is stressful for everyone, not everyone unpacks and checks each piece of furniture upon arrival at destination.

After calling and getting quotes from several moving companies, and seeing mixed reviews and high prices, my cousin referred me to this company and I'm glad she did. Used them last week to move from a basement suite to a high-rise condo and they were hella efficient in terms of transporting everything to and from the truck. They're also willing to disassemble the complicated bed frame and put it back together (some companies declined doing that). In addition, they drop off 25-30 boxes approx. 10 days in advance for you to start packing up your stuff free of charge (with safety deposit). Overall, super impressed with Saeed, Happy, and Tas' efficiency/friendliness and price !

We've moved on 28th, August. It was such a great experience for the service that MVM team provided to us! When I started to find a moving company, I know there are many companies out there, and some of them may offer me a "very cheap" price, but I have to be careful for the quality of the service that I am going to get. That's why I decided to do some research on internet and go with the one with top reviews (not only how high the review points is but also how many people gave the review). I am real happy that I made a correct decision to choose MVM in the end! Unlike other company who try to charge me extra $$$ on the my piano on top of their hour rate, MVM charge just the hourly rate! Plus, MVM does not add a extra "transportation hour" on me which is super nice. Team arrived few minutes ahead of scheduled time and immediately started great and efficient work through out the whole process! Sorry I am not good at knowing how to spell people's name properly so I can not mention your name here :) Anyway, this team of four definitely expressed us alot with their wonderful work! They worked so fast and so careful with our stuffs. They loaded the truck in such good way that all space are properly used. It is so great to see that with just one load we were able to get the entire move done (some other company estimated as for 2~3 loads with the biggest truck) All team members are really nice and polite - we felt dealing with our own friends in the whole day. Moving is a very stressful process, but MVM team helped us so much and we all really appreciated for what the team did! It is 5-stars review for me!

Moving is stressful. These guys made it as easy as possible. The free bins are the most convenient thing I've seen in a long time. Accurate estimate as well...no one likes an unexpected total at the end of moving day. Sometimes things get broken during a move. Mine was no exception . When I called to inform them it happened to be a Sunday. I expected to just leave a message . Instead the owner answered and was willing to come by that very hour to take a look and fix it. He ended up taking the broken pieces w him and he had brand new pieces constructed in two days. My desk was as good as new a few days later. Absolutely mind blowing service. Would recommend this company whole heartedly.

This company is fantastic! The pricing is very fair and the quality of work and care was outstanding. Honestly the BEST movers and moving experience I've EVER had. The gigantic bins were great for boxes and loose annoying things like plant pots and bedding, the antique dining set and glass display cabinets were well protected with blankets and shrink wrap. The fellows themselves ( Arman and Ali) were friendly, and efficient. Over all fantastic, as I said. I HIGHLY recommend this company and have told everyone I know how great our experience was. Overall, we had a good experience with Metro Vancouver Movers, and I would recommend them for your next move! They provide stackable bins for rent, which made packing easier. They also accommodated our Wednesday late afternoon start time, and stayed until late to finish. Our three movers, Said, Moad and Rafid were friendly, hard-working and took the time to make sure we were happy. The only downside was the size of the truck, as we ended up having to make two trips, and a couple of our pictures/frames were marked in transit.

A 3-man team, consisting of Derek (head guy), Luke and Eugene moved us from Burnaby to Chilliwack yesterday. They arrived early and had everything wrapped out and out of our apartment on the 23rd floor very quickly. The same at the other end in Chilliwack. We were amazed at their speed and efficiency and the price was actually lower than what it had cost us to move from Chilliwack to Burnaby ten years ago. We were very impressed.

I want to pass on how pleased we were with the Metro Movers team who handled our move from one building to another in Canada House in the Olympic Village last Wednesday, Sept 12. They were a great bunch of guys – polite, respectful, efficient, fun and nothing was a bother. We had a small incident losing some keys down an elevator shaft but other than that everything went smoothly with no damage. We owe special thanks to Arbie, Alex, Tommy and a fourth young man who’s name I didn’t catch. I’m sure I’ve spelled their names wrong, but they will know who they are. They did an awesome job and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Saved me the tedious task of searching out boxes. Easy to pack and safer for my belongings. David and Jacob were superstars. Busted their butts... Very efficient, good natured and positive attitudes. Unlike my last experience with "Two GIRLY Men" Moving Company.. D and J showed up right on time and got it done earlier than anticipated. Great team. Long story short.... I NEVER write reviews.
