I took the time to research companies for my local move, and Jim's Moving came highly recommended. I'm glad we went this them, they did a great job. The two-man crew were professional and prepared, gave great guidance to my husband when they first arrived, and were just really awesome company to be around. While I hope it will be a while before our next move, I will definitely keep JM in mind for the next time.

They came by referral as outstanding folks. The team was funny and they were personable. I would not use them again though. I found them too casual and not busness-like enough. We had a box marked fragile and a number of keepsake items were broken (shattered). This is for a move approx a year ago.

I was seriously impressed. They arrived at 8:45, so early. The crew was fantastic, friendly, jovial and efficient. I was quoted 7 hours, but they were done with everything in 5. Their hourly rate is higher than others, but they were done 3 hours quicker than other quotes. And nothing was damaged. I cannot recommend these guys enough. Thanks, Meredith and crew!

Cannot say enough good things about the professionalism, willingness to help, and information provided by Meredith in our desperate attempt to get an oversized sectional into an apartment or that sectional to a townhouse and the sectional in the townhouse back to the apartment, stopping off at a warehouse to get another piece of the sectional (yep, I know it's complex and that is why I'm writing this review). Meredith took the time to walk us through all the measurements to take and carefully considered whether it was even workable prior to attempting the move (or potential multiple moves) (that another mover failed at and charged us anyway) to see if it could even be accomplished. Unfortunately that sectional is never going into that apartment but Meredith saved us the hassle of trying again (and the $$$ of doing so) even though he could have just taken the job and then charged us when it didn't fit. He was unfailingly polite, patient, and knowledgeable and worked with myself, my son, and my son's girlfriend without ever losing patience with us all (the man is a saint!) Should we need a mover in the future Jim's is the first and only company I would ever call. Anyone this helpful over the phone has got to be amazing in person. Seriously, this guy sounds like he could handle herding cats so I pretty much guarantee you that any house, apartment, or company move he handles will go like a dream!

EXCELLENT movers. I spoke with Meredith a few times prior to our appointment and sorted out the details. They showed up a few minutes early and eager to get moving. We had a slightly difficult entrance to where we were moving out of, and they took the challenge in stride. Once we were at our new place they were very careful to try and not track anything onto our brand new floors. I cannot stress enough how great the entire experience was. To top it all off, the phone estimate I was given was bang on, and in the end was WELL worth hiring this company. Very highly recommended!!! Great work!

Jim's moving was absolutely amazing. Meredith was very knowledgeable and helped with organising dates and times. The guys showed up slightly earlier and immediately started putting things in the truck. They were extremely courteous and careful with everything. Once we got to the new place, we realised the sofa wouldn't fit up the stairs and so they finished unloading everything else. Meredith made sure that the very next day, they came by again with an extra guy and hoisted our sofa through the balcony in half an hour flat. These guys were quick, professional and very careful with everything. Not only that, but their price was very fair in comparison to some of the other larger moving companies who have no problem charging you an arm and a leg. A very pleasant experience with these movers. Would highly recommend them!

I think we surprised them with how much we had to move; they definitely surprised me with how quickly and efficiently they managed to move everything. We did some reach and got quotes from different moving companies. JM had the best price and the best communication by Meredith. The 4 men crew worked fast for our 5bed house and nothing was damaged during the move. Meredith answered all my questions before moving day, they showed up a bit early to do a walk of the house and got everything done by 4pm. Excellent service! Meredith and Fernando were great at making our move smooth and easy. They arrived 10 minutes early to park the truck and are very organized. No surprise fees: you pay the hourly rate on their website for 2 movers plus a travel time fee that Meredith will let you know before hand how much it is. Very friendly, funny, and fast team with the best price and quality. I totally recommend!

Nick and Jr. moved us out of our apartment this weekend. We were very impressed with the booking process and both the owner and the movers called the day before to confirm logistics. On the day of, we had some challenges with our building elevators (not the mover's fault) and they made the most of the down time we experienced. They were polite, very considerate of our belongings that we identified as delicate, and fair on price and hours worked. They were also happy to have us jump in to help once we were behind on time from our elevator issues. I would definitely recommend this moving company to family and friends. Very nice people. They are also very gentle and vert fast. About 20 boxes took them less than 20 minutes to load and 20 minutes to unload. They pick up the stuff very gently, move them gently and put it down gently. It was just an excellent experience. And they charged exactly the amount they had told us without any extra fees.

Overall really happy I went with Jim’s moving as they went above and beyond for such a reasonable price. The booking was really easy to make and their website had clear info about pricing-I like that they have a flat rate, as many other companies seem to have endless extra charges. When I spoke to Meredith (the guy running it) I felt like he really meant it when he said they would be there on moving day as promised-and they were! They arrived right on time, and worked fast and efficiently to get my stuff on the truck, and worked just as hard on the other end getting my stuff unpacked and in place even in the pouring rain. I also found it convenient that they take all forms of payment and emailed me a receipt after it was done. In the end my move cost me less than I budgeted thanks to Jim’s moving-don’t hesitate to use these guys for your next move!

They don't even deserve a one star. We spoke with person name Meredith and he specifically told us that they do move TVs and we told him that we have 3 TVs. They day they came to move us the first thing they told me that they can't unmount our TVs and we don't move them unless they are in the original packaging and we have no liability for the TVs. I ended up unmounting all the TVs myself. They broke one of our TVs. Also the staff/movers were supper rude. They never compensate us for the broken TV and also we found some of the other broken stuff in the boxes, which were not handle properly. Be careful with this company and I will never recommend this company to anyone.
