I am a firm believer of DIY - with the exception that time is money. Ferguson Moving & Storage is that exception. Nobody wants to pay money for something that they can do themselves but believe me - you can't buy this type of service. The difference I noticed with this moving company is that they operate very punctually as they adhere to an extraordinarily rigid schedule - all the while keeping their clients' belongings safe and sound. I’ve worked with Ferguson Moving twice and both times they have been excellent. Recently Shaz organized a move for us, and everything worked out perfectly! We were able to save some money by packing the little things ourselves, and having them move the largest furniture that wouldn’t fit in our car. Austin and Adam arrived on site right when they said they would, and they did an excellent job keeping all of our possessions safe throughout the move by professionally wrapping them and transporting them with care. SURREY Location*When I phoned to book my move in early December I got a confirmation email saying that Andy was coming to give me a estimate for my move on Sunday. Sunday rolls around and he doesn't show up. I phone and left him a message and he calls me back to say he never got the email in time to know he had this appointment. He said he could come Monday evening and I said that would be fine. Monday evening comes and he doesn't show up again. I get a phone call from Aaron about an hour later saying Andy was still with a customer and he was going to help me instead. He said he could give me a price over the phone. Aaron ask if we could change the moving date from December to January I said that was fine. He said he would still come and look at everything and give me a quote. He never called me to setup a time to look at the everything. When I called the office to confirm the move, they had no record of the move in there schedule. I explain to the secretary the whole situation that's unfolded and she had the VP of the company call me. The VP was sympathethic and apologetic to my situation and understood that I wasn't going to use his company anymore. I don't recommend these guys at all in the surrey branch of this company. I'm sure people have had success with this company but 3 strikes and your out. I won't be recommending this company to anyone in the future.

Very impressed with this moving company. I’m very sceptical of moving companies as I’ve previously paid a lot of money to watch slow employees goof around and not care about my belongings. I had Jon come meet me in my home to take inventory of what I needed moved and put in storage. Although the quote was a little bit higher than the other quotes I received from other companies, I trusted that I would be more than satisfied with the move. It was a long drive for employees and they worked late to finish the job and I wasn’t charged a penny more than the quote. You don’t get that with other companies! Your belongings are important and you need to trust who you book to move them. Trust this company. You won’t be disappointed.

They were really patient and resourceful in getting a stubborn farmhouse table out of our second floor (they ended up having to lower it with straps off the balcony). I called to get an estimate asked if they do flat rate estimates? The person on the phone said they do estimates by volume and they are higher than what the "ministry" will allow. As I am a person who is disabled and on PWD. I told her that I have had quotes previously that were competitive and standard rates as anyone else would pay. She said that's just what I have been told to say. I said basically what you've been told is to say that because you discriminate against people who for no fault of their own are disabled and rely on disability. Good to know. This business is not professional in my opinion and is discriminating against people who are just as equal and valuable to society as anyone else. They do not even deserve 1 star.

We found the service to be perfect!! First Class Jon did an excellent job on his quoting. Knowing the fixed total cost prior to moving was just great. Many previous moves when you get your estimate but always end up being more than expected. They showed up on time, had lots of man power, with our large move they provided two trucks even though we were just moving 25 minutes away. Again in previous moves, usually short of man power and the move takes alot longer into the night. They have the proper equipment, tons of blankets, wardrobe boxes, mattress bags and high end moving trucks We will use this service again next time for sure. We are certainly glad we went with Ferguson out of Surrey office You sometimes always get what you pay for. Even though I knew they were going to appear to be higher cost, I decided to use them Our move ended up to be Very good value . My advice always pay a little more to make that dreadful moving day as best as it can be Thanks Jon!!!

They were able to move us from Surrey to Mission and started at 9am and were done at 4pm. They wrapped all furniture and took special care of our glass hutch and other valuable furniture we have. I just want to pass on a big Thank You to Ferguson Moving for moving my family heirlooms and furniture from my Mom's townhouse in Richmond to Kamloops. My sister met the crew in Richmond and they quickly loaded up the truck and headed towards Kamloops but theunpredictable weather in the mountain passes prevented them from taking the Coquihalla so they tried the Fraser Canyon but ended up being turned back there as it too closed down. The manager kept me updated frequently by text message on there status. They kept trying right up to 7pm to get to Kamloops but ended being turned back. The next day the crew started out again and arrived safely in Kamloops and quickly unloaded boxes and furniture into my house. They were very friendly and polite, they loved looking at my guitar collection and making friends with my 2 small dogs. It was a very good experience for my wife and myself and my family in Vancouver as these belongings mean alot to ou. Thank you Jani. Very professional and very courteous.

Ferguson moving was called in after another moving company I had booked cancelled on me the day before I was set to move. I emailed the move manager a detailed description of the items they could expect so they could bring the appropriate sized truck, moving blankets etc. The move manager sent me a quote for just over $1200 that evening, which was more than I wanted to spend but I was ok with. They showed up at 9:30am and did a walkthrough of the place. I was moving out of a 2 bedroom apartment on the ground floor, so nothing out of the ordinary was required. As soon as the move manager left, one of the movers proceeded to pick up 2 rifles (trigger locked) that I had moved out of my gun cabinet so I could transport them in my personal vehicle. I have never seen such an egregious lack of gun safety in my life. The rest of the day was downhill from there. There were three movers and it took them from 9:30 to well after noon to load their truck, and this is with me moving about 20 packed boxes out of my parkade myself and moving most of my furniture into the lobby for them to just to walk out to their truck. I don't know how long it would have taken them to move things on their own. The distance from my old place to my new place was less than three kilometres, which is why I was shocked I had to call them at 2:15 to figure out where they were. They stopped for lunch, which must have been nice because I didn't have time for lunch that day. Once again, these guys were slow unloading their truck. I was moving out of a 2 bedroom apartment, 900 sq.ft. I don't own a lot of stuff but they weren't done until 5:30 pm. Their truck was not even 1/3rd full. By this logic it must take these guys two days to move an average sized house. By 3:30 pm one of the movers must have been tired because he just sat on the truck folding mats. I brought this up with the move manager but he basically said that we shouldn't be mad that we had to help these guys load and unload the truck and that they were doing me a "favour" after the other company cancelled on me. My final charge came in at just under $1600.00, which was about $300.00 over the quote. Long story short, these guys are slow and expensive, don't use them unless you are in an absolute bind.

Not impressed. The person who booked my appointment got the date wrong and sent someone to come give us a quote. After the mover came to give us a quote and got a tour of everything that needs to be moved he told me we can get it moved on (enter date). That's when I realized the receptionist or whoever booked me booked it on the wrong date and by the time I got the quote it was too late to book because everything is all booked up. What a mess! The guy couldn't do anything about it. Leaving me with no choice but to try to find some last minute movers. This is frustrating and so unprofessional. I booked early enough and if the receptionist didn't have the date I needed they should have said so instead of wasting everyone's time. I don't recommend them not after what happened. Ridiculous.

Extremely disappointed with this company. I called on Tuesday and told them the exact time and day I had to have it done on. I stressed to the agent on the phone multiple times that I had a VERY exact time window that the elevator was available at. The agent assured me that time was available. On Friday, only days before our move and after we had already paid for the elevator, a different agent called and said that they weren’t actually available on that day. What kind of professional company assures a time and then calls back to say “who knows why they told you that.” This is beyond unprofessional. I would never trust a company with the storage of my belongings or the moving if my important furniture is this is how badly they communicate among employees. Edited: I’ve raised my review slightly because the owner reached out to me promptly, which I appreciate. This does not negate the massive inconvenience due to poor employee communication but does at least show they are aware.

Kirk + team, you're a godsend! I've moved over a dozen times in my life and have always done the moving myself because 1. I heard too many horror stories about shady movers and 2. We have too many valuable and sentimental possessions we never dreamed of letting a stranger handle. But on our recent move to our new house I simply had too much on my plate and had no choice but to call a moving company. After calling around to a few moving companies and leaving messages requesting a quote, I got a call back from Kirk and I had a good feeling right off the get-go. Not because of the quote he gave me but because he seemed like a genuine person who wanted to help us in our stressful time of moving. We got quoted a minimum 4 hour flat fee for the 20 minute job from one place, and the other 4 companies didn’t get back to us. When we called Ferguson -Edmonton we immediately reached someone, we were accurately quoted and were given an appointment time for the same day! We received a phone call and text confirmation once the guys were on their way and they arrived right on time with moving blankets to wrap our furniture to protect. Jared and Kurt were professional, conscientious, and in great humour. Our furniture was moved with care and attention to detail that saved our walls (at the expense of their backs I’m sure). When I needed to move quickly from Surrey to Vancouver Island, I looked into two moving companies to do the job. I hired Ferguson Moving & Storage because my meeting to discuss the quote left me feeling like my family and our belongings were going to be well cared for. Not only were they punctual, they worked quickly to clear out my place and head out for the ferry. Not many moving companies like to cross over to the Island; Ferguson didn’t make a big deal about it, which reduced my stress load. With their knowledge, I was informed that I would have to secure a second shipping container to store my all items. They were right; I would have been in a lot of trouble if I had tried to put everything into one container. 3 months later, I unloaded the shipping container into my new home; nothing was broken, chipped, or damaged. Crew worked very hard and did their best to protect the house and our belongings. We had a couple issues after the move-in (which can be expected for a move of our size and one of them turned out to be our own fault but didn't know at the time) and the people at Ferguson worked very hard to make it right and find a mutual satisfactory solution, which we did.
