Thank you very much guys for a un-stressful day, we all know how stressful moving can be.Very happy with Clydesdale moving Curtis and Cole were extremely efficient at what they do. They handled all my stuff with care, they were very friendly, kind and respectful. In 3 hours they had the truck loaded and unloaded very impressive. They sent cleaners to my old place and cleaned up as well. Stress free. All services in one. who can beat that? I will highly recommend Clydesdale to my family and friends. I will use them again.

I hired Clydesdale to move me and my family. The guys showed up on time and started right away, wrapping all our possessions with blankets so nothing was damaged. They were polite and hard working and Wade was right when he said he was sending professionals. When you hire the best you pay a little more money but it is definitely worth it. I called Wade and told him my situation with leaving an abusive relationship and that I needed someone to move me in short notice, quickly, efficiently and have the movers know that I don't know what kind of environment we will walk into. They were amazing! Wade was able to get it setup for me on very short notice, in which, I was not able to find any other help for weeks. Wade was beyond compassionate and caring. He spent the time communicating with me before, during and after to make sure everything was all good. The movers were just as compassionate. They moved some sentimental/valuable pieces and took the time to make sure they made it through the move in great condition. It was a huge positive step up that I needed during this time of hardship, where very little help can be found it seems. You guys are the best! The other was angry, pushy and confrontational. He has told me he will not email me my invoice ( the bill is paid) because I asked twice for it. On top of that there was a communication issue which turned out to be my fault and the owner handled it very professionally. We had a short cross-town move. Curtis and Jay are true moving professionals and a real pleasure to work with. They were efficient, friendly and worked their tails off to make sure the job was done as quickly as possible. We had a miscommunication about a piano (which was our fault) but Jay and Curtis were prepared to go above and beyond to make it happen if possible. The cost was within 10% of the quote. There are probably less expensive movers, but when it comes to this stuff you get what you pay for and these guys are a great value. We will use this company for any future moves and I will recommend them to everyone who asks.

My mum called this company today to inquire about getting a quote for a long distance move. The man who answered the phone was not only preoccupied with a conversation with someone else but was extremely rude telling her it would be between $6,000-$7,000. Than proceeded to argue with her when she inquired why it was so much. He said that that was the going rate and she would find nothing cheaper for a long distance move. That she needed to include other fees associated with long distance moving such as his employees hotel fees and the like. Not impressed. The guy seemed to be more interested in his conversation than giving good customer service and taking interest in a potential customers inquiry. My advice; don’t even bother asking for a quote.

We recently used Clydsdale Moving for a large move from Nanaimo to Errington BC. As we are a large family we had a lot of stuff that needed moving. We ended up needing two 5-ton moving van loads to get all of our belongings from one house to the other and I swear the crew of guys did not take a single break the entire time. They were respectful of our belongings and had solutions to every problem we faced including a 12 foot trampoline. The truck they used was spotless and to me that shows the pride they take in their business and the care they took with my belongings. Have already recommended them to many others. I routinely recommend Clydesdale to my clients in my Real Estate business. This August I had the opportunity to hire them for my own personal move from one side of Nanaimo to the other. Their upbeat energy and attitude starts with your first call to the owner Wade. He is on the pulse and effective at communicating what the job and potential requirements will be, and instills confidence. He has a great system, and expects his team to perform at a high standard. On moving day, we had Jay, Sascha, and Curtis arrive right on time. After a brief survey of the job (2500 sq foot) they got right to work. The team was courteous, efficient, and paid careful attention to protecting our possessions. I've had past experiences with other companies where the guys were sluggish, or demonstrated a poor attitude or overheard them complaining. (I get it it's a tough job). Not these guys. They just stay on task and ask questions as necessary. They move at a pace, and are friendly. Also, when you hire movers, you want them to look strong enough to move your possessions without hurting themselves or your belongings, and these guys certainly look the part and can handle the heavy items. Once all was said and done, we had no damaged possessions and we were quite pleased with the time charged. The rate is very reasonable given the level of service and results. I will continue to recommend Clydesdale as they demonstrate a high level of execution and focus on being the best in their field!

Terrible company! Be careful of slow season! They take there time loading the truck (six hours for a two bedroom house) was told I would have to pay 600! Then 11 hours later they charge me 1300! Over double! When I spoke to the guy to get a cost we went over travel time and how much it would cost as I’m in disability! I told him as much and then later said it was just a quote! The two guys were nice enough but these guys are just a rip off! I’ve told so many people and they said I should go to better business bureau! Still might!

Everything fragile or expensive was professionally wrapped, taped and protected. Great communication as well took the stress off about making the ferries over to the island. Hired the Clydesdale team over the weekend to move from Nanaimo to Parksville. I am totally impressed with the level of care and service. I have always done my own moving, but now I’m 30, with a wife, 4 kids, a dog and a bird. We have a lot of stuff! So knowing some former employees of Clydesdale who loved their job and coworkers(who moved on to different and similar careers), and I should mention if I didn’t know former workers who liked working for this company which is a major good sign in my eyes! The radio adds would have got me anyway! I hired Clydesdale, they came by scopes out our situation made a plan, confirmed and kept contact over the next couple weeks leading up to the big day!. They were on time, they were fast, and when my own friends couldn’t show up to help me unload the other moving truck we were using(given to us by our realtor, another review in the works) they parked their truck, helped unload mine, unloaded there’s while I reloaded mine, and helped me unload AGAIN as soon as I got back! Really good crew from the top down! My Dad was moving into a Nursing Home and we hired Clydesdale to come in and pack my Dad's place. The guys took great care if all my late Step-Mothers dishes and figurines, I know they are not worth much and I'm pretty sure the guys packing the boxes know as well, but it made my Dad happy to see them all wrapped in paper and boxed up. Two different guys came the next day and did the actual move and we got through it all pretty easy. Gotta love a local company that works hard on thier image on every job. As much as they are recommended I don't recommend this company. Workers are either druggies or alcoholics. As far as I've learned Most with anger issues. They are hostile to other co workers and abusive. In addition the company course their actions and minipulate along with black mail. Rcmp have been involved aside with CRA and the board of labour relations. I've been personally threatened and bullied by WADE the managing boss as well as one of his workers TYLER KNOWLTON. I'm simply sharing my story as im not scared of thier threats or actions but simply I have my right to free speech and hope no other potential employee works for this awful company or support them through hiring them.

Literally can not speak highly enough of this Moving company. I was booked for a Saturday and plans fell through..No problem they moved me on Sunday. Wade was my contact and he could not have been nicer. Don't stress about moving when you have Clydesdale. Ryan and Sasha showed up on time and worked so hard taking great care of everything. If you are lucky enough to get these two men I guarantee you are in good hands. To top it off I was shocked at the total cost as it was way less than I was expecting. MOVING FROM NANAIMO TO POWELL RIVER The Best! Due to Covid had problems moving out of a care home in addition to the BC Ferry cutting out one of their trips to Powell River. Wade made arrangements with the care home so that they could arrive at 6 a.m. (normally wouldn't' be allowed until 8 a.m.). They were efficient, quiet and very courteous. They were able to make the ferry and drop off the furniture and return home on time ( Thus saving me the cost of them waiting for the late ferry or staying over night. Wade's extra effort saved me at least $500.00. The recipients of the household goods were ecstatic in their praise for the delivery men. Stating they were fast, careful and courteous. Best of all no breakage! I would highly recommend this company .

I booked my local move with Clydesdale at the begining of November, based solely upon their reviews that I found on Google. The booking was very easy and without issue, but I was not surprised when the movers arrived to begin the job. I have worked in service industries all my life and I know how important first impressions are. The two guys who arrived at my door looked and acted like Movers; they were not clean shaven, and they both had coffees in hand. My first surprise came when, despite their initial appearance, they were both polite and courteous to my Wife and I. The move went well. They put padded blankets on each individual piece of furniture in my home and then shrinkwraped over the padding. (I had never seen this done before on previous moves) Everything was loaded into and off their Truck at my new home where the unwrapping was completed. These two men didn't take many breaks they ate their lunch on the drive to my new address and took all their garbage with them at the end of the day. I would say that their behaviour was all pretty standard in an industry which deals with front line customer service. My real surprise came while one of the two was doing up my bill. And I watched the other, neatly fold every padded blanket and make a tall stack in the back of thier truck. To which he attached dollies and hand carts and other assorted equipment. I honestly assumed that the pads would be left in a pile on the floor to be used the next day, or on the next job. I strongly recommend this company. I hope to never move again myself but if I do I will be calling them, because if you want to know how carefully people are going to treat your possessions; have a look at how they treat his own, when they don't know anyone is watching.

Within two hours they had off loaded everything - job done - no problems all placed neat and tidy. The two men assigned were extremely pleasant, polite and knew their job. As the truck was off loaded they were folding and securing the moving blankets etc - very neat, precise and efficient. I knew then I had chosen the right company to do the job. Used Clydesdale for a move from errington to Nanaimo and they were awesome. Sasha and Jay came 15 minutes early, with great attitudes and got right to work and didn’t stop until everything was safely packed and secured in the van. They didn’t bother stopping For lunch as they were right behind us on they way to the new place, then went just as hard at the unload location. I’ve used movers before that tried to milk extra hours, but you could see that wasn’t the case here. Very punctual and professional. Rain, sleet, or snow, 10/10 would recommend. Since my first post (below), I've used Clydesdale twice more for internal moves within my home while doing renovations. Nothing has changed. They show up on time, work hard, do a great job and charge a very reasonable price. The latest move a week ago was up to Clydesdale's usual excellent standard. Cole and Curtis did a wonderful job, and went out of their way to make sure I got things positioned exactly where needed (was putting things back together in renovated rooms). They are friendly, professional and worked really hard. I can't recommend this company enough - their values are centered on customer service, which is rare these days. I spent a number of years in the moving & storage business in an earlier life, so I guess you could call me an informed consumer. I chose Clydsdale because, of all things, I spent a lot of time with the horse of the same name on my grandparents' farm growing up. But, happily, my sub conscience was good. These guys are amazing. I hired them to move some items of furniture from a relative's residence and within my home .... James and Sasha were just plain wonderful. Not only on time, but a bit early....how is that for unheard of? Professional, friendly, beyond competent and totally reasonable with pricing. I would hire these guys again in a nano second. I cannot say enough positive things about them - they are my go-to now for anything moving related and I would recommend them without any hesitation to anyone with a moving or storage need. In this day and age great service is the exception but with these guys its a way of life. They deserve every success.

I had Jay and Tim move my furniture and boxes from a storage unit into my new place two weeks ago and I can't say enough about how courteous and professional they were. They moved my items with care, and were cheerful while doing it! Prior to moving in, I had actually asked my painter to hold off on finishing painting my walls because i figured any movers I had might scuff or mark them up while moving my items in, but there wasn't a single mark on any wall or the floor. I highly recommend this company and regret not contacting them when I initially moved my items into storage several months ago. When I first contacted Clydesdale, I spoke with Wade, who was upfront, honest and professional about the services his company provided, with a no BS attitude, which is appreciated. He said right off the hop his company was a bit more expensive however it's because he has excellent workers. Truth be told, Clydesdale was cheaper per hour than the first company I used (I found my old receipt the other day) AND they didn't charge for travel from the warehouse to my storage unit, or back to the warehouse once the job was done like the other company did. Thanks so much for the great service guys! Hopefully I won't need to move for a long time yet, but if I do I will certainly choose Clydesdale!

Last October Clydesdale moved our possessions into a container and did damage in 4 instances. I let it go as we were going to have a renovation done. When we were going to move back in I sent the pictures of the damage to the owner and requested that they send people that were professional. They assured me they would. Two men arrived and after bringing a few items one of the men brought up two bedside table drawers. But instead of holding them one on top of the other he had one in each had and banged one of the drawers into our newly painted wall. What does that tell you about their professionalism? Not!!!

I deeply regret having used Clydesdale for my move between Victoria to Campbell River. The the service provided was adequate but the phone estimate I got ended up being a calculated sham and prevented me to hire more reputable companies at a lesser cost. Considering the few items I had to be transported, I was told it would take about 10 hours time, 3 hours to load, 4 hours of travel and 3 hours to unload, at $135 per hour. What was never disclosed to me was that I would be charged for the hour lunch taken by the crew, that after 8 hours I'd be charged overtime, and that I had to pay for the return trip time of the truck, also at overtime rates. In short, what I estimated to be about $1350 (in my own estimate I included two hours more just in case, in which case it could be around $1700) ended up being a bill of $2610.56 for a total of 15:45 hours. In comparison, I have written quotes from Canada’s Leading Van Lines for $2055 plus taxes; Atlantic Van Lines for $1965; Canadian National Van Lines for $1985; Alliance Van Lines for 2055; Atlantis Van Lines for $2025; and Canadian Moving Systems for $1965. All the above quotes based on a load of 2000 pounds, a weight comfortably suited for my belongings. In fact, the 3 ton truck used for the move was so empty inside after loaded I could have driven my car into it too. When the day after the move I called the company to express my shock in the face of such miscalculation, Dale, the manager, who had given me the quote, reacted in the most rude and violent manner. He argued that an estimate was just that, an estimate, and that there were speed limits for the truck, but never addressed the fact he had hidden information from me that would drastically affect the actual price of the job, that he never disclosed the details that would utterly increase that charge. As I insisted, Dale became so aggressive and out of control that I had to ask him to take a deep breath and consider that I wasn't raising my voice at all. His violent reaction actually made me think that either he have had a very bad day at home or that he was under the influence of a toxic substance. In any case, Dale’s total disrespect for a customer that had fell into the trap and paid dearly and way above expected for a service is plainly unacceptable. So that he cannot argue that this is a bogus review as he did with another review very similar to this one, here is the number of the invoice presented to me: #11251. This review goes with copy to the BBB, that allegedly “trusts” the company. Maybe they can reconsider who they trust.

Wade set up my appointment, and Curtis and Cole did a fantastic job moving me to Courtenay in late March. They arrived early and worked quickly. All of the furniture was wrapped and shipped safely - these guys are STRONG, and they managed heavy loads with ease, getting large items around tight corners and upstairs in my new home without causing any damage whatsoever. They also moved some big items already in my house to the top floor that weren't part of the move without batting an eye, and were great to work with the entire day.
