I had such a bad experience with 2 small men with big heart. Firstly they weren't on time and very unpleasant in the way they spoke. They also broke 2 of my bed frames, also broke my corner fountain. I really regret doing business with them and will definitely look at other options for the future

Best Move Ever! I would give 6 stars but Google only allows 5! I have moved many times over the years including two moves internationally and two domestically all in the last 10 years. I have to say that my move yesterday was the best yet. From the very first call to the signing of the bill, this company was professional, courteous and extremely efficient. They showed up on time and handled my furniture like it was their own. I was impressed by the professionalism of the six young men who packaged my furniture better than the original manufacturer packaging it came in :-). Each worker checked throughout the move to make sure we didn’t have any concerns or questions. Each was very personable which made the move that much more enjoyable and stress free. I want to thank Laurie (office admin) and the best moving team of Dave, Justin,Brandon, Aaron, Tony and Adrian. You guys were awesome. If you are considering a move, there is no company better than Two Small Men With Big Hearts.

We hired 2SMBH Moving to help unload a moving truck into our second floor apartment. Devon and Dave were kind and efficient from start to finish - they unloaded a 16ft truck in about 2 hours! No damage to the apartment or the items. Would definitely hire them again. Hi Andrew...thx for this opportunity to follow up on your company's services during my move. Jay and Anthony couldn't have been more personable, efficient, or professional. Having been a mover in my own past, back before electricity, I can wholeheartedly endorse not only the fellas doing the physical work (what we used to call the 'grunt work', or sometimes, 'hump work'), but also the interactions I've had with you. I don't recall if we connected in real time over the phone, but I know we traded v-mail messages, and the rest of the process via email. You also were quite professional in those interactions. In fact, were I still a young man in need of employment, my experience with Two Small Men would leave me wanting to be a part of ensuring your continued success in what has grown exponentially more competitive a business to be in. Anyway, back to the fellas. Having the secondary pick up location to empty my storage locker, and the additional 3 pieces that needed to go from the garage at my new address into the basement presented Jay and Anthony with the chance to impress yet again. Impress they did. I recall back in my moving days that while I don't smoke, many of my co-workers did, and there seemed to be too many smoke breaks, in my opinion. If the fellas do smoke, they certainly did not do so during the move, and frankly given the size of my move (about 2 hours or so to complete), they surely could have taken such a break given the 4 hour minimum without ever going over time. So again, let me say that every facet of this move that involved Two Small Men was carried out in exemplary fashion. I highly recommend and fully support that the greatest reward possible is provided for Jay and Anthony. When I was seeking a moving company in the first place, I was somewhat put off by how the industry has changed regarding how the cost of a move is calculated, but that's across the board, no matter what company one is dealing with, and is certainly not a complaint in any way. What I am trying to say is that I consider the money well spent. Thanks again to you Andrew, and to both Jay and Anthony for an excellent moving experience. I used Two Small Men with Big Hearts for a move this weekend - Hamilton to Grimsby, and not only was the price reasonable for the amount of work (three-story house to another three-story house), but the crew was exceptional to work with. They arrived on time, were polite and careful as they worked, and checked in a number of times to explain as needed or confirm that we were happy with the progress. Adrian is an EXPERT at packing the truck - I was amazed with how much of our stuff he was able to make fit! More than happy with all of the guys - Adrian, Marco and Marcus were all so positive throughout the day, and had a great sense of humour despite the long day and back-breaking work. No complaints at all. Will definitely contact them for any future moves!

My wife found Two Small Men with Big Hearts Moving Company and man, they far exceeded our expectations as to what we've expected from a moving company since we've heard some horror stories of movers damaging furniture and walls, etc. The day of the move, they (Ben, Mike, and Chase) were on time and ready to go. We gave directions and watched them handle our furniture and all else with care. We were pleased to see that they wrapped everything that had drawers that could accidently open. But the part that impressed me most was their speed and determination to get us moved out of our old place into our new place. They all worked like strong, fast, seasoned vets - like a well oiled-machine. They were super friendly, we had great conversations along the way (yes, I was a bit of a distraction at times but they still trucked through!) We're very happy with the service they gave us. The price was good too. I truly don't write reviews much, but I can - and want to - vouch for Two Small Men With Big Hearts Moving Company if you are looking for a great and integral moving company to handle your belongings. Top notch! We have just moved to Hamilton and hired a crew for unload only. Cory, Tanner and Mike were our crew and they rocked it. They were on time-a few minutes early actually-and got straight to work. They were efficient, polite and professional. We had two spots to unload at and they had they finished within about 5 minutes of our time that was booked. Rates are very reasonable and Laurie, who I spoke with on the phone to make the arrangements, was tremendously helpful also. I highly recommend working with these people!

When my family and I moved, we decided to go with this company due to being insured and having decent reviews. Worst decision we ever made. When we initially called, they stated they would send someone over to give us a quote. The bad vibes started when the guy showed up 45 minutes late. I should have took this as a sign. On moving day, we asked again if they were insured and if everything was covered against damage and the guy said “absolutely”. Well, we thought the move went well and even tipped the movers when they were done. The next day, I plugged in our 60 inch TV and noticed a impact crack with lines going down the screen. I called first thing the next morning to find out how I go about getting it repaired or replaced. When we called, we explained that our TV was broken during the move and the receptionist stated that someone would be in touch in 2 to 4 hours. After 5 hours passed, we called back and again was told 2 to 4 more hours for a callback. When I felt we were getting nowhere, I asked to speak to a manager and was transferred to his cell. When we explained the issue, his first response was “We didn’t break your TV”. No empathy, no sympathy, just denile. Doing my best to stay calm, I explained that it was working fine right before the move. I even had it on while the movers were moving stuff on to the truck! Since there was no way to prove they broke it and there so-called “we are insured” is a joke, I HIGHLY recommend taking a video of your TV working with the movers there and immediately checking it after the move BEFORE you pay! I can honestly say these people don’t give a damn about your stuff and will deny breaking anything. Their claim of insurance is a joke and I would seriously look elsewhere if you are looking for a good moving company.

The day was hot and muggy but they worked long and hard to get the job done, they arrived on time, were very efficient in getting the house empty and packed into the truck. Summary: Two Small Men With Big Hearts did not do their research, left me in the lurch and took my money with no service. We reached out to TMSWBH to help us move from our apartment, we live on a hill so it's a pretty tough job, but they said they were up to it. Greg and Kyle came to the apartment to quote us and it all seemed reasonable. They were interested in renting the unit as well for company lodging, so I gave them information on that. The first issue came on the official moving day when we got a massive snow storm and they had to cancel. I don't blame them for cancelling that day, I blame them for not cancelling earlier in the week when the weather reports were putting out numerous warnings ahead of the storm. When the rescheduled moving day came TMSWBH arrived but could not find any parking for their 26 foot truck. After circling the block they informed me that they could not find any parking and then left without telling me. My issue is that they did not inspection while they were at our apartment to determine a) whether a 26 foot truck would fit in the area and b) where they could park. The only question they asked regarding the parking was midway through our discussion of renting the apartment which amounted to "'Hows' the parking around here?" to which I responded "We can usually find a spot when people come over". When I asked for my deposit back Kyle claimed it was the customer's responsibility to figure out the parking. I agree, customers should help organize it, but I signed no contract indicating that it was my sole responsibility. So TMSWBH took my deposit, and gave me no service. Use at your own risk.

We recently used two men with big hearts to help us with our move. I’d say over all it went smoothly. They were one hour late, due at the house for 11 but having called us at 11 to say they were late as they needed gas and would be 15 later, only to not show up until 12. We called and were told we would have half an hour off price which was not done - poor customer service in my opinion. Having been N hour behind it left us leaving at 4 and in rush hour from Burlington to Binbrook. In addition they left items at our old property without letting us know. It would have been fine had they told us they weren’t on the truck but we only found out after they left and I did a walk through and saw many things left behind, leaving me to have to leave the items at my neighbors and go back. They were decent guys, took care of our items and it got it done in 8 hours but I think the things I’ve mentionned above are worth noting for someone to be aware of going forward should they decide to hire them.

Due to COVID they requested photos which I provided a virtual tour link for them to quote. He provided several options for pricing based on projected time lines. He gave tips on things we could do to keep the cost down which was a pleasant surprise. On the day of the move the crew showed up on time and got right to work. They were hard working and diligent with our belongings. The move went smoothly and they were a huge help with unloading and actually putting things away in storage spots like under the stairs which would have been a lot of extra work for us. Buyer beware! Terrible experience with this disorganized business. Owner asked for a $100 deposit to hold the date and then said we never gave a deposit. The deposit was never recorded on the invoice and wasn’t deducted from the total amount owed like the owner stated It would be during our quote. When sent emails with proof asking for a refund, they were ignored. Called and asked to have the money refunded and was told I would get it right away; days later and still waiting. Movers weren’t able to figure out how to get a cabinet out of the basement. They had to put it down and stop trying because they were “too tired” from their 16 hour work day the day before - I’m paying $200/hour for tired movers?? I ended up figuring out how to get it up the stairs and having to rent ANOTHER truck to move it myself. Movers also lost a chair seat, so it’s now unusable. Way to go making a stressful experience even more stressful. Move along, and find better movers!

If I could give zero starts I would. While the movers themselves were professional they accidentally dropped my washer down the stairs. The owner has been terrible to deal with and won't pay to have it replaced. On top of that there is no Ontario head office and the west coast head office doesn't even know how the Ontario structure works. It has been an absolute mess and still two weeks later, I am without a washer. Even as a national company, there is no accountability to their name. I would have been better off doing the move myself.

My only complaints were that I did not receive a confirmation call from Two Men prior to my move. I did call the company the day before my move and left a message. Additionally, it was a rainy day when I moved and the movers did track some mud and dirt onto the carpets of my apartment. I would still highly recommend Two Small Men!

You get what you pay for. Cheap but cut corners packing. Didn’t use adequate packing materials or clothing boxes. Crammed all our clothes, including work suits, into boxes so everything is unbelievably wrinkled, used our own linen to wrap breakables which we didn’t know so things fell out when we unpacked, put framed artwork unwrapped in my kids toy bin and the glass broke. Shocked nothing valuable broke. Wouldn’t recommend or hire again. The only reason I gave them two stars is I knew they were cheap so shouldn’t have expected much.

I booked this company for my move on June 30. I had a great experience for several reasons: 1. Due to a scheduling conflict, instead of 2 people I was assigned three at a discounted rate to make up for having to delay my move time which was more than I would have expected. 2. The three young men who showed up (Jared, Dylan, and Chase) were prompt, friendly, professional, and efficient. They came prepared with all paperwork and tools, they asked if I had any questions, they took health and safety seriously (this is important to me), and overall were just fantastic to work with. I really can't say enough about them. 3. The supervisor/scheduler that I worked with, Andrew, was also very friendly and helpful and overall really great to work with. I would definitely use this company again if I needed moving services. This was a really great experience.

From our first contact with Andrew fielding all the questions and quotes to our scheduled moving date, all was handled very professionally, questions answered quickly and schedules finalized to accommodate our group's needs. Had Devin, Mike, Brandon and Ben move me today and I was extremely happy with their service. I had gotten 3 quotes to move out of our 5 bedroom house and Two Small Men were a little bit more expensive per hour than the other companies but these guys were quick, efficient and very friendly. The guys moved everything out of my house including disassembly of 2 beds and a crib and had everything in my new house in 4 hours and 45 minutes not including the 45 minute drive. In the end the extra 50 dollar an hour charge was well worth it since other companies told me to expect it to take 8 to 10 hours to move a 5 bedroom house. I will be recommending these guys to everyone I know.

This was such a great experience! From a smooth booking process with Mary over the phone and through e-mail, to the amazing moving team of Tanner and John, this moving company was two thumbs up all the way. They arrived exactly when they were supposed to, giving me a heads up call when they were on their way. The two very friendly men worked extremely fast for me, I can't believe how well done and quick the move was! I was in my new place with all my things by noon! It was a very nasty rainy day and my my building had a huge puddle in front of the loading area, the poor guys got soaking feet but continued to smile the whole time. We googled Two Small Men with Big Hearts and decided to go with them. Our decision was based on the certification logo appeared next to the company logo. I spoke to the company owner first and then to Andrew , the office manager. After assurance from Andrew, we received the quote and go with them ($150/hr). I believe this was the best decision we ever made when it came to hiring movers. We have moved many times across diff municipalities. It snowed heavily 2 days back. Then I hurt my back. Two nice young men showed up on time: Ben and Aaron. I truly believe they were God sent. In next 2 hours, we encountered many challenges while moving out. Out of 2 elevator, 1 broke down. Then building superintendent started creating problems and refused to open moving room/door. Yelling at the movers. Poor Ben had to move his truck multiple times finally away to the side road. I honestly thought that we will never be able to complete move out today. I held the lobby door with one hand & bad back while Ben & Aaron moving out furniture. This was the day me and my wife will never forget. How building management at 45 Barlake Ave, Hamilton, made our move a hell. I strongly suggest to hire Two Small Men if you are: senior citizen, your parents moving, can't lift heavy items, suffering from arthritis like me, or you just need decent movers with human touch who are not there just to make money. We were disappointed in our previous movers (late, complaining and unwilling to move certain appliances) so tried Two Small Men. The difference was incredible. The office was in contact with us right away and sent someone out to do a quote the next day. The movers arrived on time and were happy and friendly. This is the worse company ever to hire. Their name should be two men with black hearts. They are unprofessional and rude. They work so slowly. They will break all your furniture. They will damage your home and they don’t even care. They do not know how to move furniture. They do not pack your things. They will complain about their job. Their truck is unreliable so if your lucky you will get your belongings. The owner is unreasonable, abrasive and rude as well. Never hire this company if you want your belongings in one piece. If I could give zero stars I would.

I recently hired this company to move on feb 16. I would like to give a higher rating because the movers Devon, Aaron and Adrian were amazing. Great guys, very professional they knew exactly what they were doing.During the move the hardware to my refrigerator door went missing rendering my refrigerator useless. I’m pretty reasonable. I get that things happen, somehow in the chaos the hardware went missing. My issue is the poor follow up, lack of communication and assistance from the owner/main office. I cannot count how many times I have called inquiring about the missing parts always being told someone would get back to me. No one EVER did. I even called and left a message that I have found an appliance place that will order me the missing hardware could the moving company reimburse me. No response. On top of all this I moved my moving date from Saturday to Sunday at their request. Because of bad weather and they had fallen behind with their booked moves so I accommodated their request. I was told I would get a $50 off my moving bill for doing this. I didn’t get that either. Disappointing

On the one hand, the movers were very helpful and efficient on the moving day, so I'm very appreciative of that. On the other hand, I was disappointed to see on the invoice an extra 50$ charge that was inaccurate and out of place. The movers arrived 15 minutes late on the morning of the move, and I was then charged for an extra 15 min of their time (not accounting for the late arrival) corresponding to a 30 minute lunch break that was not included in the quote they sent me initially and which I had no reason to pay for. The move was completed by 15 min less than the price quoted and there was no lunch break, but I ended up paying for an extra 15 minutes. The movers (Dakota and Tim) arrived right on time and were very friendly and professional. They made sure to move all our items carefully. They were very understanding and once we got the keys worked really hard to get everything unloaded as quickly but safely as possible. My husband and I were moving and knew we wouldn’t be able to do everything ourselves. We contacted two small men with big hearts in August and right from the beginning we knew they were going to be good to work with. They were very happy to answer any questions I had, they sent out a detailed sheet of the prices and how things worked. A few days before the move, they called to confirm the times and locations and went through the covid protocol which my husband and I were very happy about. The day of the move, Jeremy and Nick showed up right on time and got started right away. We just showed them what needed to go and they began working! They were very nice and professional. Do NOT use this company. They appear friendly and helpful but if given a chance, they rip you off. I had two of their guys helping me move appliances. One of the fridges, my landlady's, was catastrophically broken when they dropped and rolled it. After being told I could call and start a claim with their office at the end of the move, they completed the move without incident. At the end, they had me sign the document stating it was complete. I was asked 4 questions about whether I like their service, if they were friendly, etc. I refused to answer the question "were the movers careful". Heck, we even laughed about it. They then asked if I had any comment to add. I said no. I was told by the owner today that what I actually signed was a waiver stating there was no damage. Also, that the comment box was to describe damage, not to describe friendliness of service. Way to rip off a disabled woman guys! Now I have no recourse but to take them to court...but as they did not give me a copy of what I had signed, that will be more challenging! By the way, the "owner" called me from a company called "Haul It Away". I would think they are dubious, too!

Used this company for our move. First, we did not have a full 3 bedroom house to move as we junked our living and family room couches/chairs before the move and only one appliance (fridge) was being moved. They estimated one truck for the move but due to using inexperienced staff, had to order a second truck that was not even one quarter filled but they charged us for 2 trucks nonetheless. I say that the staff was inexperienced because we were told that our fridge would have to stay because they could not get it out the front door. The fridge was not even a standard size as our kitchen could only fit a smaller size fridge. When the second truck arrived, it came with an experienced mover who quickly showed the others how to get the fridge out. They were also advised to be aware that our dining and one bedroom suite were made of white pine, a softer wood and to exercise extra care with these items. Both suites were damaged extensively, as was most of our wooden furniture and some other items. Management response to our complaints was less than satisfactory. They would not remove the charge for the second truck which had doubled our bill. They removed $300 only and in my opinion, that was a slap in the face. I am frankly astounded that they have received so many positive reviews. I would never use them again, nor would I recommend them to anyone else.

Two Small Men with Big Hearts was recommended by our apartment building as they hire them for staging furniture moving all the time. We are extremely impressed and happy with the services that ANDREW P. and AMANDA have provided us. We were unfortunately informed that the building service elevator we booked in advanced was out of service for the whole day and the weekend, and we had to share the only remaining elevator with all the residents. For the first half hour the only remaining elevator was also broken! We were quite nervous and stressed with the unexpected situation. Andrew P. and Amanda were so professional and knowledgeable, and they MAGICALLY worked their way to get all our stuff loaded and unloaded with care within a very reasonable timeframe. They worked so hard and so well not only independently but also collaboratively. In addition, with the time restrictions and limited elevator services, they both helped us not only disassemble and assemble our bed frame but also helped us carefully wrapped quite a few last minute items ( large pieces of furniture and appliance) that were not wrapped and placed them to the desired location in our new apartment. I was incredibly impressed with their professionalism and overall willingness to work with us and ensure that our furniture was placed in the correct spots upon arrival. Tanner and Tim made moving, which is usually a nightmare, into an absolute dream! I would highly recommend this company and would employ them again for future moves!

The 2 movers I had went above and beyond to help with my move. Unforseen circumstances changed what had to happen with my move and dragged the day on longer. They were both so helpful, respectful, and nice even though it cut into the rest of their day by hours. I have used this company a couple of times before and this time reinforced why I use this company again and again. The only complaint I had was with management who charged me double for the unloading due to circumstances. And I thought that was unfair since I was already paying the hourly rate and to double it felt like they were taking advantage of the situation I was in. I would still use the movers again but would be weary of management and the only reason why they didn't get 5 stars from me.

Andrew P., Jesse and Connor provided incredible service for our move! They were friendly, efficient, and made sure there wasn’t a scratch on our freshly painted new house. This team was highly professional and made our move as smooth as any move can be. I would highly recommend the company and would use them again if I ever moved…though I told them I’d never move again….and they told me they’d heard that before…
