My mother who recently passed away lived in a one-bedroom apt, with lots of expensive belongings such as furniture. In order to vacate this place, I made the mistake of hiring Cosmos Moving. I had asked for a quote needing 3 workers, but Sunny the owner kept saying 2 people would be enough. So today he sent 2 very young and totally inexperienced boys who didn't have a clue how to perform basic duties of a regular mover. This included standing around for minutes at a time (for each item) discussing what they thought they should do concerning wrapping and moving them. They used old & damaged blankets which (to any half-experienced person) was obvious to fail. Workers themselves weren't at fault, but it is obvious they're being used by the owner to trick customers into longer hours. 7 hours and $600 later, and I now have to hire yet another company to finish what should not have taken more than 4 hours. I also found out the workers had decided to go to Tim Horton's, while driving our belongings, taking their sweet old time Sunny's response to a call complaining about the situation was: "I told the guys what to do so they should know" versus sending the professional movers I had been promised. Efficiency, customer service and value for the money at this company collectively can't be more than a big 0. Don't be fooled by their gimmicks, and profile photos! You will be given extremely poor service as the company will abuse your trust to make more money.

COSMOS MOVING deserves more stars. They are a dedicated team, extremely professional and caring. Sunny is a man of word. What he promised to us is what he delivered. I thought moving is a difficult and stressful process but Sunny and his friendly staff deserve more than a 5-star review for helping us make this move from Toronto to Ottawa as memorable as possible. They are a honest business, the costs are reasonable.I had lots of fragile items (I did packaging on my own) and all the items were brought to Ottawa without damages, which i feel is incredible. I believe they are the best movers in the market!. All the best CM and Team SUNNY !

Worked with Cosmos Moving for our house move. I am super satisfied with their service. They did the move very quickly. Their service was quite efficient. They packed our stuff and dissembled our furniture and post the move they assembled our furniture well. All our furniture and other stuff was moved properly and arrived without scratches or breakage. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Shady manager who is withholding my receipt and has now since blocked my number after requests to get my receipt. I will be reporting this business. Things started out fine with Cosmos Moving. Sunny was responsive to my text messages, and followed up with me the day before my move, stating that the 26 foot truck I had requested would be ready and sanitized. Things started to go downhill when I got a call from Sunny on the morning of my move saying that the movers had been directed to go to the wrong address by "someone in the office" and that they would be an hour late. I later found out that Sunny himself had directed them to the wrong address by accident. The movers arrived an hour late with the wrong size truck: a 20 foot truck instead of the 26 foot truck. The movers were the ones to tell me that the truck was only 20 feet, and when I texted Sunny asking him why the truck was not the larger one I had ordered, he said that the truck at my house was indeed a 26 foot truck - (he lied, it was not - and he then backtracked when i called him out). The movers had to make 2 trips from my storage locker in Burlington to my house in Guelph because of this error. The day overall was a mess. The movers did not place my furniture where requested, they left furniture and boxes outside. When I requested to pay visa (as was offered to me pre-move), Sunny then told me that the visa machine was broken. I asked him why I wasn't notified of this before, and he then changed his story to say that the visa machine was actually left behind at their main office by the movers and that they would have to go back to Brampton to get it. I said I would pay by visa over the phone, and he said that the machine was actually broken. SO WHAT IS IT? Is that machine BROKEN or left behind in Brampton?? Get yours lies straight, please. To top it all off, Sunny then sent the movers back to my house after they had left to make them take a photo of my E-TRANSFER confirmation (and therefore my banking info, which i actually had to strategically cover with my fingers in the photo). Still waiting for that receipt, Sunny. By the way, he charges $40/hour per mover, and the movers only make $15/hour.

Extremely unprofessional company. Movers came three hours late to the job. They were inexperienced, lacked urgency or care for items. They moved around lazily, wasted time on their phone and hardly spoke English. If you want the worst in the business give them a call.

The moving was disciplined and organized in a sense that the furniture was in the best state. The team was cordial and I would use them again and would recommend them for others too.

Absolutely HORRIBLE! Said 3 o clock and didn’t show up, ended up telling us they had to eat and they wouldn’t show up until 9 PM in the EVENING. Completely unprofessional service, would never recommend to anyone. Horrible customer service.

DO NOT BOOK COSMOS MOVING. They showed up ~5 hours late with too small of a truck, 1 fewer mover than promised and only completed half the job after promising to help make it work leaving me completely scrambling. Renting a truck and doing it myself would have been better. Read on for the more complete story… After seeing 5 star ratings on Google and 10/10 on Homestars I was confident in booking COSMOS for my move. Sunny was great to deal with over the phone. We agreed on a price and details: 3 men, 20’ cube truck, show up at my house at 1pm, condo moving elevator booked from 4-7pm with a stop at self-storage along the way (which closes at 5pm). On the morning of the move I ask Sunny to confirm – he replies promptly apologizing and saying his crew got stuck in Niagara. Can only get 2 men and a smaller truck arriving ~2-3pm. I tell him OK because I have no other options. Why did he not inform me earlier? Not that big of a deal I guess I’ll just have to help out more. At 3:30 still no movers have shown up. I ask Sunny, he says they are leaving Brampton in 5 mins. At 4:15 they call to say they are 20 mins away. At 4:50 they say they’re 15 mins away. Finally they show up at 5:30. This is an abject failure. The self storage is closed and the truck is too small to fit the contents anyway so we opt to focus on the contents heading to the condo, hoping they let us extend the moving elevator to get everything moved in. I explain the urgency to the 2 movers, but they exhibit zero motivation to make up for lost time. Just continue about their merry way joking amongst each other… Not to mention they damaged expensive furniture in the process. Thankfully we could get everything moved with special accommodation by the condo security and completed at 10:30pm. However there was still nearly half our stuff slated for self-storage that needed to be moved by the next day. At this time the movers said actually no they can’t come by the next morning (after initially saying they could). So I speak with Sunny and he says leave it with him, he will work on a solution. My wife now starts calling a list of movers because we have no confidence in Sunny accommodating us after this disastrous day. But just out of curiosity I thought let’s wait to see what Sunny comes up with, and sure enough… nothing. Had we relied on COSMOS we would have had to take work off and pay penalties for delays to moving out. My wife speaks mandarin and was able to get some Chinese movers to show up and save the day. It’s been a few days and I still haven’t heard from Sunny regarding a possible crew coming to finish the move. EDIT TO ADDRESS OWNERS RESPONSE: I stand by everything I said in this review, now to address the owners response which is filled with lies: First: I mentioned I have a 3 bedroom house - it's not a 4 bedroom house. Second: You did not call me the day before telling me the truck was stuck in Niagara - I had to text you the morning of the move to confirm, which is when you informed me of the delay - there was no proactive outreach whatsoever. Third: You absolutely did not show up on time. Originally scheduled for 1pm. Then you rescheduled post-delay to 2-3pm. The movers showed up at 5:30, how could you say they were on time? At the self-storage? We never even went to self storage because your guys were so late it was closed by the time they showed up! Fourth: You never proactively reached me the day after. I texted you and you said everyone was out and you would arrange for movers to come finish the job when they were free. That never happened! Fifth: Yes, I paid the guys because I'm not cheap and they did show up - I still had to finish the move and I was hoping they would come back to finish the job! Lastly: I didn't say they broke anything, just damaged it. Specifically, the scratched an expensive TV stand. I get it, that stuff happens, I wasn't going to withhold payment over it. If that was the only thing I wouldn't hold it against your Co. The other movers we arranged were much more careful. ***more false accusations from the owner...

They gave a fixed rate moving and promised that they will assemble one bed. On the day of moving they came one and a half hour late by the time they gave usthey promised that they will wrap the sofas in plastic wrap. When the came they had no wrap so left for an hour to bring the wrap. While moving they got calls to move some one else. They got extremely angry and kept telling me that they could go to other moving. I was all alone and got scared. I asked them to make the bed but they didn’t listen. When I called the owner he told me that I am cheap and blocked me. This is the most horrible experience I ever had moving though I move frequently.
