King’s Transfer After a move from Ontario to Quebec, two of our items, a table and a digital piano was damaged. The table was not new but only had minor wear and tear, while the digital piano was in brand new condition. Unfortunately we received the table with large scratches that exposed the wood that left it unusable. We received the digital piano in 5 parts, which I had dissasembled in to 2 parts just for the move and was delivered to us with a bent metal part that connects to the leg. During the delivery one movers freely told us that he dissasembled so that it would be easier to transport and gave us the bolts and screws. We contacted the company for the damages in a timely manner (within 3 weeks of the 60 day requirement). After following up with many emails, we finally heard back from them 43 days after the move. After a long wait our claim was denied stating that in the records the table was noted as “scratched” and that the piano was disassembled by us. We objected saying that the table was damaged beyond normal wear and tear and that the metal part of the piano was damaged/bent during the move. After 75 days of the move and almost 2 months after our first claim, instead of compensation, they offered to send someone to repair the bent metal part. We declined because we do not want to take any unnecessary risks during a global pandemic. Upon declining they said that they will close the file, also conveniently forgetting the damage to the table. Things like this always happen, but what really shows the quality and reliability of service is how you deal with with happened after the fact. The way King’s Transfer dealt with this situation was unprofessional and showed that they are definitely not reliable. Will never work with them again!

I COULDN'T POST THIS UNLESS I GAVE THEM A STAR. I WOULDN'T BE SURPRISED IF THE NICE COMMENTS WERE POSTED BY THEIR FRIENDS. THEIR MOTTO SHOULD READ: "THE CUSTOMER ALWAYS COMES LAST!" 1. To start, my diamond ring and camera and other items went missing. The police weren't able to recover them. Unknowingly, I paid King's Transfer $2062.00 to have three guy's (who were bullies) to come in and violate me and my home. 2. They have yet to refund $2,062.00 (or at least partial) for a HORRID EXPERIENCE. I spoke to my credit card company and they told me I have a case. I deserve to get my money back (I should have done it right away), but thought I could come to a financial agreement. However, the greed of the owners won. I did not get my money. 3. My couch was left in the building's hallway because the guy's said they couldn't get it up the stairs. They violated a city-by-law. If there was a fire tenants would not be able to get out because the couch was blocking the hallway. 4. They refused to pack (which was written in the contract) laundry detergent, shampoo, or dish detergent because they said it would take them too long. It took me an additional 8 hours to finish what they left. 5. They walked on my couches and wood furniture (I have pictures to prove it). Also, they loaded my, 85- inch plasma TV without protection onto the truck. (while this was happening, I had to listen to one of the guy's complain that he should be at home with his girlfriend instead of working). I caught the other guy up in my bedroom using my scale to weigh himself. 6. After several months without a couch I finally got it up to my apartment. This attests that her crew didn't know what they were doing in the first place. They also, sent a truck that was double the size and made me pay over $200 for gas I didn't use. When a company says that they are associated with the BBB is fruitless. A company can appear to be good even when it is not. The company will not get a bad rating unless they get a written report from the customer. Otherwise it is not recorded. NEVER EMPLOY KING OF THE MOVERS/ OR THE AFFILIATED KING'S TRANSFER, 199 OMANDS CREEK BLVD, #1, WINNIPEG, MB. BECAUSE YOU WILL BE MORE THAN SORRY.

I have to say, after a great start to our move, we were left VERY disapointed with the service that we received. Originally we had Shaun come and do the first part of our move and he and his crew were great, took care of all our stuff and made sure to pad everything that needed to be padded properly. We also watched them carefully load the truck and everything looked great. For the second part of our move, we had requested the same crew but were sent Shaun and 2 other guys. I dont know if this is the reason but the quality was gone. As soon as they opened the door on the truck you could see everything looked like it was just tossed in the truck, things were falling, the first thing handed to us was a completely smashed vase that my mother loved.If it had been wrapped in a pad or even a skin this wouldnt have happened..I know because I used to work at Kings myself and I know we took care of our customers belongings ( I even won a Terry award ) during the move and Wanda would look after things in the warehouse..Apart from that, Nothing was padded properly, after the move we kept finding scratched items, our walls leading to the basement were completely scratched up as well. This is completely unacceptable as the reason we hired you guys is because of the quality we thought we would get .my parents spent alot of hard earned money on this move and their intention wasnt to have all their stuff damaged. Another complaint we have is that the week before the move, I tried calling Ron Proudfoot numerous times to see when the move was schedualed for and what time we should meet the guys at the new house. Ron NEVER answered my call or even bothered to EVER call his customer back. To us, that is HORRIBLE customer service and reflects badly on your company as a whole. After several attempts and being bounced around between different ppl on the phone who had no idea of what was going on, one of the ladies told me that the guys would be leaving Mississauga at 8am and should be at the new house by 9:30-10. Well, the day of the move came and as we were getting ready to head over there at 7:30am, we get a call from the driver saying he's already there!..We were also charged for the almost 2 hours that they waited for us to get there. Had we known they were going at7:30am we also would have been there at that time!!...As you can see the second part of the move was a disaster and I hope its rectified before this goes to social media and the BBB.

I moved on February 6th, 2016 and it went very smoothly! Prior to the move, I talked to Paul Kasner and received an accurate quote. The quote included an extra pick-up location and 3 movers. All 3 movers were very kind and asked questions on where items go. The whole process was stress-free and very well organized. They were on time, quick and careful. They dissembled large furniture items, such as beds and re-assembled them in the right rooms. Wrapped furniture so nothing would make dents, even though I told them they didn't have to, they insisted. They took off shoes when entering all 3 locations. Packed my clothes in the wardrobe boxes and even unpacked them into the closet. I can't remember their names, since it was almost a year and a half ago. But thank you so much! When it came time to pay, it was exactly the quote cost. Nothing hidden. Glad I didn't have "surprise" costs, as everything was explained from the beginning by Paul on what the costs were per hour, for travel, for everything. I definitely recommend Kings Transfer and will most likely call them again for my next move!

They moved me from Montreal to USA, CT and it was a very good service at all points. We worked with Felipe Duarte for the moving details and he was great with paper work and explaining and setting it up. Then we had packers and movers come to our Montreal house and help pack and move the stuff. The crew was AMAZING and friendly and kind. One of the packers was also the driver and he made sure everything was packed well and organized. He was the same man who dropped the stuff off in CT. HE was the best! On time, organized and made sure our stuff was unloaded and settled before leaving! If you are doing any type of move I would Only use Kings from now on. #AMAZING

We booked a move for 8:30 am on December 2, signed a contract, gave a deposit, confirmed the time and date with the sales rep the previous morning, but missed a call the afternoon before the move. The voicemail said they were calling to confirm our move and to call back. I did not get the message until later that evening, too late to call back, but since we had already confirmed the time and date 3 times, I never imagined this would be an issue. I thought OK, they are calling me to confirm this is happening - a courtesy call. After all, how many people book movers and don't show up for their own move after confirming over and over again? I was so very wrong. The next morning, at 8:30am, we were ready to move but nobody showed up. By 8:45, we started to worry so we called Kings and were informed that because we did not call back the afternoon before, they booked another move for that morning. I explained that we had confirmed the time and date 3 times, including the morning before but still, I guess they needed a quadruple confirmation. We were told the team was on a quick delivery and would be there around 10:30 or 11:00. We waited, in vain, and called Kings again. They said they'd check with dispatch and call back. An hour and a half later, still no call so we called again. We were now informed that the team was doing a full move, not a quick delivery, and that they would be there at 1PM. Well, the team didn't show up until 2PM, having already done an entire move that morning. So a 5 hours move that should have gone from 8:30AM to 1:30PM with the afternoon left for us to organize and get settled in became an entire morning wasted and a move from 2PM to 7PM. We spent the rest of the night scrambling to organize boxes, put a bed together, and finding living essentials. It was a horrible experience. Now the positive. Although the dispatcher completely screwed us, the movers were nothing short of spectacular! They were professional, attentive, careful, polite, clean, and very hardworking. These guys, having done a full move all morning were now doing a second full move from 2-7 PM, in the dark, in the rain, but they handled it like professionals. Not one complaint, no attitude, no shortcuts, no mistakes, only hard work. We've moved a few times over the years and movers tend to get tired or cranky after a while, which would have been completely justified under the circumstance. Not these guys. They powered through like true professionals and we were amazed. It is too bad they were let down by their counterparts in the office because their performance was an example to all movers and I would hire that crew again in a heartbeat and recommend them to friends and family without hesitation. I have a commercial move coming up and I will try to specifically request this crew. That's how good they were. I'll be sure not to miss a single call this time so I can be sure the office staff get as many confirmations as they need to be absolutely positively sure that I will show up for my own move at the time and date I specifically requested and confirmed multiple times.

Awful experience. We were quoted a reasonable price, so we decided to go with Transports King. The team showed up on time. 2 guys. One was in good shape, friendly, and professional. The other was grossly overweight, was caught several times looking at my girlfriends ass, and took a break after every trip. 1 Box = 10 minute break. He literally walked away after a trip to go get himself a snack at the nearest convenience store. What should have been a 4-5 hour job (everything was packaged and ready to go) Turned out to be an 8 hour ordeal. Halfway through the day, the out of shape mover tells me they need to bring in a 3rd guy because it's taking too long. 3rd guy shows up, and once everything has been moved, i'm told that I need to pay him cash for his services. Obviously I was frustrated, but I didn't seem to have too many choices. Then came time to pay the bill. It was double the quoted amount. So not only did I have to pay for the extra guy (whom was only there because the out of shape worker couldn't do his job) I also ended paying a giant bill. Worst moving experience of my life. Period.

We had a very good experience with their service for a 4 1/2 move local move. Felipe provided a very accurately estimate for the moving time. Ian, Roy and their team were punctual, friendly, professional, fast, responsive and very willing. Also, they took great care with all furniture and transported items. Overall, it could not have gone any better than it did, and in half a day everything was done. Of note, we had a very pressing schedule and the movers managed to accomplish it in a very timely manner. On the Monday following the move, we were called for a follow up, which showed me that King’s is concerned with quality service and client satisfaction. Although moving is always stressful, the team that we interacted with made it go very smoothly. I did a long distance move from Manitoba to New Brunswick. Booking the move was great. The guy in sales was very professional and courteous. Said my items would arrive between June 6th and June 21st. The guys who loaded my stuff were professional, they tagged it, gave me papers. I was notified on June 8th that my items were in their warehouse in Wpg and that the driver would be in touch a day or two before my items would be dropped off. Then communication broke down. June 21st came and went. The guy in operations did not respond to my emails and when he answered his phone he was not aware of my contacting him. Called the next Monday and he had no idea where my stuff was. At least an hour later he told me my items were 2.5 hrs away in a nearby city, that there was trouble with the truck, or something, I was very unclear on what was happening. He told me that my items wouldn’t be arriving that day, but that the driver would call me when he was coming. I emailed again my complaints on that Friday before the long weekend as I had received no word from the driver and called the next Tuesday. Again hadn’t checked his email and he said he’d be in touch with the driver and get back to me. Two hours later I left a message on his answering machine because he’d still not been gotten back to me. At 7pm I was contacted by, I’m assuming, someone in HR in Ontario apologizing for the mishap (which I appreciated) and she said she’d send me an email with information. I never got it and was no contacted by her again but I was called by KTVL sister company Premiere Van Lines, and she told me my stuff had been on their property since the 19th. Long of the short I got my stuff and the men loading and unloading my belonging were great. Management is sorely lacking in communication skills. They were two weeks late with my items and because of that I pointlessly paid for a storage unit for the month of June. I also did not know that my items would be transferred from one van to another. I’ve moved two times before this and I am very unimpressed. I would never recommend anyone use this company or any company they were affiliated with.

This is the second time I'm using KT's services. First time was last year when I moved to Toronto from Montreal. They came to my house, packed everything and transferred it to a warehouse in Toronto until I find a house to move my stuff to. They charged reasonable prices for the storage and when I was ready they moved my stuff to my new apartment. On both ends they exhibited utmost efficiency and professionalism. The agent who was responsible to handle my request even took the time to come to my apartment in Montreal and gave me a very accurate estimate of my move. And I think they charged me reasonably for all that service. Not cheap, but that was well worth it. The second time around was not different. They were just great. The difference was that this time I'd packaged my stuff myself and they just moved them. What amazed me that they were super efficient and quick. Even though they had to wrap everything in pads, and also disassemble/assemble my bed, they did the whole thing in less than 3 hours. Which was amazing. These guys impress with their swiftness and experience. The only minor thing that could be improved was that they walked around the new apartment with their shoes on despite what I'd asked them (because new carpets) but I think they forgot. But not a big deal since it's very difficult to take off your shoes while carrying heavy objects. Overall great services.

I have moved a couple times before, so I am a bit biased when it comes to this subject. Have had the nightmare, and have had the amazing. The amazing was when I moved here from Ontario, but these guys are easily the best that I have dealt with here in Montreal. They showed up & literally took care of everything. I had to leave at the start, but my wife just kept on going on about Mike & (Phil or Will?). When I got back after lunch I was amazed when I showed up at an empty condo because they were already delivering at our new place. Only hiccup was the scheduling part - thought they were coming at 9am, and they arrived at 8am. Were still not 100% ready if understood. Other than that I would use them again.

I serached a few companies for my move on May 31st in Montreal. At beginning the price seemed more reasonable, 97 per hour with 2men, 5 wardrobe loan, 1 queen mattress protector. That is the reason that I hired them. I don't have a lot of stuff, only a queen bed, an Ikea wardrobe, some kitchen stuff, nothing big, clothes. Because I am moving on a working day, not easy to have friends over to help. That's why it will be easier to have s company to do this, especially for mattress and bed frame, pretty difficult to move by myself. First, when they came, they came toi early, we aggreed to come at 1pm, but seems like the driver or the mover wants to eat earlier, so they called me at 10am when I was still packing. They just suddenly showed up at 11:30am! Suprise! One mover is very efficient, he carried most of my stuff and disassembled my bed frame very quickly. The other one is very lazy, only came to take a few stuff, if I were the other guy, I would be mad with him, such a lazy co worker. There is no major damage for my stuff as i don't have a lot of stuff. Only thing is that my mattress got some dirts when they packed it. But I was a little shocked when they just throwed my box which has glasses inside from upstairs to downstaires. I think they want to save energy. But this is very unprofessional behavior, if I didn't wrap my glasses very welll with alk the bubbles proctoter, they would be alk broken! When it comes to payment, they wanted to charge me 145 per hour for three men! What? There were only two movers, the third one is only driver! And this is totally not on the contract! On the contreact, it says 2 men with a truck, 97 per hour! And I talked with the staff on the phone, he said because it will be more efficient to have three people! What? The third people didn't do anything, ok? He only drived there is no efficency comparison here, no matter what someone has to drive, right? You can't send two movers but they don't drive! Do you ask me to drive? How ridiculous the reason is! Anything that is not on the contract will be so unacceptable! Finally we agreed to charge me 2h30 mins instead of 3 hours because of this surprise! I woule highly suggest to keep the contract as precise as possible. Read your contract carefully especially if there is any insurance for your valued stuff! Never give in if they want to charge you extra! We are not victims, we are customers!

(Translated) Several problematic. Basically I had to move with my roomate from our 41/2 to our new accommodation (10 min from my old one). First to the formation of the contract, there are several pieces of information that contradict each other. They tell us that it is a minimum of 3 hours and that we only paid $ 45 for travel costs (gas, insurance, etc.) for the movers (from their central to our home) and that this is not calculated at the time of the move. So we paid much more than stipulated. I tried to rectify this error and I am told that I am hallucinating the whole thing and the receptionist does not want to cooperate with me. I do not advise this company in any way ... (Original) Plusieurs problématique. En gros j'ai du déménager avec ma roomate de notre 41/2 à notre nouveau logement (à 10 min de mon ancien). Première à la formation du contrat, il y a plusieurs informations qui se contredisaient. Ils nous on dit que c'est un 3h minimum et qu'on payait seulement 45$ de frais de déplacement (gaz, assurance, etc.) pour les déménageur (de leur centrale a chez nous) et que ce n'est pas calculer dans le temps du déménagement. Ce fut une confirmation téléphonique avec Monique. Mais font un estimer de 4-5h par courriel. Aussi, pendant la formation de notre contrat la personne se trompait souvent ans ses information. Deuxièmement, notre déménagement était planifier lundi à midi et sont arrivé 5h en retard. Nous n'avons jamais eu de suivit. Nous devions les appeler et déjà ils ne savaient pas toujours l'état de la situation. Le déménagement c'est relativement bien passé, même si nous avions du participer activement dans le travail. Lorsqu'ils nous ont facturer, ils nous on facturer un 4 h minimum, lorsque ça à prit moins de 3 h. Qui est contradictoire avec notre contrat qui est signer pour 3 heures minium. Ainsi, maintenant ça l'air qu'on doit payer le déplacement de Dorval à Montréal en temps (L'explication du 1h supplémentaire ?!), qui fut stipuler au départ que non, sans soustraire notre dépôt. Donc on a payer beaucoup plus que stipuler. J'ai essayer de rectifier cette erreur et on me dit que c'est moi qui hallucine le tout et la réceptionniste ne souhaites pas coopérer avec moi. Je ne conseil aucunement cette compagnie...

Having previously used, on multiple occasions, the professional services of King’s Transfer Van Lines, I reached out to Erin O'Donnell who directed me to Allen Germeil from the Toronto office, I requested their team to please assist me with this relocation. Mr. Germeil promptly agreed to have his team assist me with my move and gathered, in great detail, all the information he needed to facilitate the move. In particular, the King’s Transfer team was able to accommodate my specific requests pertaining to, among several other requests: the moving date; a separate and distinct delivery date; temporary storage of my household goods; accurately segregating the household goods that needed to be placed in to long term storage; ensuring protective packaging on various electronic equipment; and providing me with interim access to my household goods that were in long term storage. The King’s Transfer Van Lines team that physically assisted with the actual relocation of the household goods included Jeff, and his two assistants. They were all professional, hard-working, friendly, timely, and treated me like family. I’m truly grateful for the care with which they handled my household goods. Thank you King’s Transfer!

Please do not book this company. I paid over $3000 for full service that included packing, moving and unpacking. The moving and unpacking went well however when all unpacking was done, I realized that the packers (not the same people who moved me and unpacked) had robbed me. I had put all my jewellery away as precaution. My 8-yr old had a piggy bank in porcelain with about $800. She was saving for something special. Her piggy bank was empty and I had no one else who had access to her piggy bank. The gentleman who unpacked, didn’t unpack my daughter’s room, I just used them to unpack the big furniture. It is clear that the packers stole. This company sent 3 people to pack, 2 kept going outside to smoke then would come back in my house without watching their hands and pack my pots and pans. Very disrespectful, I didn’t say anything but they didn’t inspire trust. Needless to say, I should’ve had trust my feelings because they stole my daughter’s savings. I spoke with Felipe Duarte from King’s Transfer and I had no support. I just wanted him to know that the company hires thiefs and that they should consider this event. I filed a police report.

Lazy sloppy and rude. Threw boxes marked fragile. Used the angle of the stairs as an excuse as they refused to bring items up. Had to force them to do their jobs. I don't know what the rest of the movers are like but if the 3 who moved my home are the norm then save your money and hire strong friends and pay them with pizza instead. Guys worked 40 minutes and took a break of 20-25 minutes to smoke and lie in the grass. I paid for 3 guys and for 1:30 there were only 2 who was there. I looked for the third for 10 minutes before seeing him arrive with Tim Horton for him and his colleagues and cigarettes. So I pay a guy for 1:30 ($ 200) to go buy food. Uh .... it's because you're supposed to move me and not walk in the city on foot. 7:30 time for a 3 1/2, only 1km between the two homes ($ 1800) he knows we have no choice to pay so he does what he wants. I HIGHLY DISCOUNT (Original) Service pas si pire en général. A part la secrétaire qui parle très bien le français, tout les autre ne parle aucun mot français. Je me fais dire que c'est impossible que mon divant sorte par la porte, que je vais devoir le laisser la, (minutes mon petit monsieur, ya déjà passé une fois par la porte, y va passer un deuxième fois. ) Les gars travaillait 40 minutes et prenait un break de 20-25 minutes pour aller fumer et se coucher dans le gazon. J'avais payé pour 3 gars et pendant 1h30 il y en avait seulement 2 qui étais la. J'ai cherché le troisième pendant 10 minutes avant de le voir arriver avec du Tim Horton pour lui et ses collègues et des cigarettes.Donc jai payer un gars pendant 1h30 ( 200$ ) pour aller s'acheter de la bouffe. Euh....c'est parce que tu est censé me déménager et non te promener dans la ville a pied. 7h30 de temps pour un 3 1/2, seulement 1km entre les deux logements ( 1800$ ) il savent qu'on a pas le choix de payer donc il font ce qu'il veulent. Excellent service from the King's Transfer team once again! This is the second time I've used their services and I couldn't be happier with how easy my move was, especially during this pandemic. Two packers came the day before the move and expertly boxed up a large number of items, including fragile art pieces. The moving team was very efficient, and moved a number of pieces of heavy furniture up and down several flights of stairs. Both teams were friendly, helpful and professional at all times. An especially big thank you to Dan Goyens, the moving consultant, for all his help. I will definitely use King's Transfer again for any future moving needs.

The experience was so wonderful that my wife and I had to write a 5 star review. Bad enough moving is a stressful period and hearing all kinds of horror stories about movers does not help. Luckily we were blessed with Kings Transport and it’s professional team. Starting with Jennifer at the head office, who did a home visit in order to give me the best quote as possible. And let me tell you. In the end I paid $100 less then what she originally estimated. Then came a long on moving day, three professional movers on time as scheduled. They also did a walk around before hand to validate what I want to be moved by them or not. They carefully wrapped each furniture and gently moved my belongings with care and respect. They were extremely polite and PROFESSIONAL. They did there job with pride and they kept a smile on even in the rain. We are not planning on moving again any time soon, however I can only promote them to show how satisfied we are. Hire them you will not regret it!

We never had such a bad experience! For a 41/2 they took 8 hours although everything was already packed. Reason: the team. The team leader was experienced and did a great job, the other experienced person (a certain Patrick) didn't work at all and let the inexperienced son of the team leader pack the truck. He only talked sat down to talk with the security guy of the building we found out at the entrance. After they finally packed the truck, the team leader noticed that it was badly done and they used another hour to try to remedy it which didn't work because upon arrival several goods were damaged. For the offloading they didn't have any carts as they normally do taking again a lot of time. The furniture was so badly assembled that we fell through the bed the first night.

Erin and Gill were super on top of things, gave me consistent updates during an uncertain time, and followed up personally after the pick-up and delivery. I had employed this company to do three major moves in under two years for me .. all within the City of Winnipeg. It cost me a significant amount of money each time but I am willing to pay for a professional company with professional/superior customer service. Initially my first move went without too many glitches but the ones following had issues. Such as, the lead driver downplaying the extent of my damages to my expensive furniture upon delivery, my bed not being properly set up with the side rails of the bed falling apart, some serious water damage issues with an expensive wool rug and other items while in their storage facility for two years. I had pictures of my rug before the actual move to the warehouse and two years after it came out. I showed it to them (before & after pics) and naturally they denied they had any water issues in the storage container I was paying for. I did not have full insurance coverage on my items being stored in their warehouse, and trusting that their facilities were safe & dry, I was provided a menial compensation of under $25 for an 80 lb very expensive, wool carpet that had lines of water damage throughout. I was not even provided the full compensation of their automatic coverage of .60/lb. I could have claimed on my home insurance policy but then I’d end up losing more in the end paying a higher premium. I’m an experienced mover and this is my first unfortunate encounter. Not to mention that a few of the more senior people within Kings are family members and “ covering” for each re: customer concerns . Sheer disappointment in the end.

I have never written a review before; however, I feel compelled to warn future movers about the horrific experience my husband and I had when dealing with Kings Transfer. We were looking for a moving company to move a few of our items for a local move in Ottawa. We checked with multiple companies and decided to hire Kings Transfer because of their “professionalism.” We requested a quote online and were contacted the next day by a King’s representative who mentioned he would come to our home to see what items we were looking to have moved. We liked the fact that there was no charge for this service and felt that this company was in fact more professional for taking the time to visit our home. During the home consultation we informed the rep that we have a large 30”x90” canvas picture that is very important to us. We agreed to pay extra to have this packed and insured. Unfortunately, that’s where the professionalism ended. We scheduled our move over a month out but on the day of our move the movers never showed up. No one contacted us to inform us what had happened. We were on a tight moving schedule as we moved from an apartment to another apartment and had reserved times for the elevator at both locations. We called the company after fifteen minutes of them being late to find out that no one put our move into dispatch. Therefore, we had no movers to move us. We called our local office where we booked the movers and the lady informed me that she was in the process of subcontracting our move to another company and would call us back within “5 minutes.” Over an hour had passed and we did not receive a call back so we contacted the head office in Toronto where a gentleman took our information and informed us someone would call back “shortly.” At noon we received a call back from this gentleman explaining that Kings Transfer had subcontracted our move to another company and we would receive a phone call from them within ten minutes. We did receive a call from the new moving company who stated they would send three men to our apartment and they would arrive at 1:00. Fortunately, the men were 15 minutes early and moved diligently to get the job done (seeing as we only had the elevator until 1:00 and by 1:45 someone else had reserved the elevator leaving us scrambling to carry out the last load). However, during the move our canvas picture was damaged because Kings Transfer had not informed the new moving company of this picture. Apparently, the rep’s home visit was nothing more than a “look good” to customers scam. We were at the mercy of having them move it with large dirty blankets which caused damage to our canvas. At our new location the move was delayed past the time we were allotted; therefore, we were not able to receive our entire elevator deposit back. We moved on a Friday and on Monday we contacted Kings Transfer to explain what had happened about our picture and elevator deposit. No one apologized or did anything to make this situation right! Every person we spoke to passed the “buck” to someone else. We left message after message for multiple people. None of whom ever responded. We were given a phone number to contact the Montreal office. When we spoke with a lady there she was rude and refused to put the owner on the phone. This company refused to reimburse us the money we lost on our elevator deposit even blaming the other company for it. Kings Transfer has refused to take any steps towards rectifying their error. We move fairly frequently with our jobs and we will never use this company again! If you are looking for a moving company, I strongly recommend you do not hire this company. (If I could give this company no stars I would.)

Moved from Montreal to Toronto this winter. The weather was horribly cold, and the crew was still great & kept things lively. They warned us that the lacquer chairs table we had could be damaged by the extreme cold, and suggested that we put the items in storage to move later. Considering they were antique pieces we were not sure if we should do it or not. We ended up storing the pieces, and so thankful we did. One of the leafs from the table was packed & loaded for our new place. Once it was unwrapped the finish was cracking & lifting all over. We are so thankful for their advice! It saved a family heirloom for us. We were shocked at the price of restoring all the pieces we got if we had moved all them during the winter that the cabinet shop gave us. Thank you Kings!

IT WAS MY FIRST TIME USING A PROFESSIONAL MOVING SERVICE AND EXTREMELY NERVOUS. I WORK OVERNIGHT AS A PRIVATE CAREGIVER AND WAS WORRIED OF BEING LATE! I WAS GIVING THE TIME SLOT OF BETWEEN 8:00-9:00AM ON A SATURDAY. WHEN I ARRIVED HOME I SAW A MEDIUM SIZED WHITE TRUCK INFRONT OF MY OLD RESIDENCE ON TIME AT 8AM! AFTER SIGNING THE CONTRACT THEY STARTING PACKING FAST AND TRANSPORTED AND UNPACKED IN 2 HOURS AND 48 MINUTES!!!! I WAS LESS STRESSED AFTERWARDS AND HAD THE REST OF THE DAY TO DO SOME UNPACKING, CLEAN MY OLD RESIDENCE ETC. ENJOYED MY MOVING EXPERIENCE!!!

Moved on June 22 and everything was OK, paid extra because we ran later, so that was a bit off putting. Later when unpacking found that the TV had 2 scratches on it and the dining room table. Got the claims form and sent off. No reply. Emailed for updated, got a reply saying they are working on it. Month after that sent another email asking for update and got an out of office reply that the person was no longer with the company. Two more emails and it is coming up to 4 months later and no response. Not impressed. I paid a lot of money to hire the best and now have received NO customer service. What is going on? I was told this would be handled and it is coming up to 1 year and NOTHING has happened. Ron, Kathleen, anyone -- hello. Please resolve this.

Used them on the 2nd week of June to move to the Plateau from the west island. No complaints at about the move. They handled the oversized fridge up the crazy outside stairs & the narrow stairway up to the 2nd floor apartment. IMO I thought that it was not going to happen, but they got it done. Driver forgot some of the padded wraps they used on the furniture when they left. I called & they came by next morning to get them.

They do send emails asking for feedback, but the response I got to my experience was rather passive aggressive. Moved from Montreal to the South Shore to our new house. Called King's on a recommendation from a friend who used them. Glad I did call, everything went great! The truck got stuck in the weekend construction traffic, but that was expected. Still the guys were done an hour earlier than planned with all the furniture, and then did the pick up for us at our storage locker. All was done by the end of the day, and it was such a relief to be able to sleep in our own bed! Thank you all!
