They arrived at least 5 min late..whatever... my initial phone call when I booked was pleasant. They quoted me $140 cash for an hour. There wasn't much stuff at all. They finished a 5 min after the hour was up. The movers said I was booked for an hour and half that was news to me as I said I would only need an hour so they tinkered around helping with little boxes out of my car and they were still only 10 mins after the hour. They said I had to pay another 45 dollars for the extra 10 min they were there. The boss who is Scott was totally insistent that I pay that or he would call the POLICE . He was EXTREMELY RUDE on the phone his movers acted oblivious like this is good quality service .. I would not recommend .. if you do use them make sure you get the exact figure in writing and that you watch your clock as they will slow it down to go over the time so you have to pay extra ...

I would give less than one star if I could. This was the worst moving experience I have ever had. It was confirmend to have the movers at my home at 8am, however no one showed up until 9 oclock, I called, left messages with no reply. When the movers finally arrived I mentioned to them that my scheduled time was actually at 8 oclock, to which they replied "well it's sunday" and then proceeded to drive down my street. I then assumed they were not returning. They did however, and everything seemed to be fine from there. Once everything was said and done I was told that I owed $230.00, however when I booked with them I asked for a complete quote and was told with the amount of items I had it would be $140.00. Now that is a substantial difference. I called to speek to the owner (scott) and he proceeded to YELL at me on the phone, telling me I can't expect them to work for free. Meanwhile I was trying to ask him why he would quote me $140.00 if that was not actually the cost. He then again yelled that it was per hour and I should have just "assumed" that in the first place. I asked if that was in total and I was told yes, now there may have been some miscommunication, however when I called to clarify things I was not even given the opportunity to speak, just attacked right away and screamed at on the phone for even questioning the situation. When you ask for a quote and you are told a certain amount of money, you should not assume that it is implied per hour! A quote is a quote, and I feel theived and disgusted by the service I recieved today. I have never been treated so poorly by anyone in the service industry, in which I also work. Please do not use Barrie Movers They are absoluetly terrible and I finished my day in complete tears. Just a disaster.

Compliments to Barrie Movers, Scott and his crew. We had two family moves within two months. The crew was prompt, courteous and most importantly wore masks. Both moves were in condos - facility elevator scheduling with other contractors and move-outs didn't phase them. The crew were hard working and efficient. Awful.... .just awful .... Charged more than quoted. Scott was terribly rude.....They were Late too! I could not be more upset. *EDIT RESPONSE TO SCOTT* You "helped" my mother move. I wouldn't be surprised at if you don't remember who she was because I'm sure you treat most clients this way. No matter how many fake 5 star reviews you pay for! I find it hard to believe we are the only victims of your predatory business practices. I hope your 5 star reviews are real and you have changed your ways since, but that was far from our experience almost 3 years ago.

Did everything I wanted and on very short notice. Moved me from Barrie to Keswick when I couldn't find anybody else and did it in a timely fashion and within the price range I was aiming for.

Horrible experience. Moving company took all day to arrive at the location. Damaged items costing us over $1000 to repair which they refuse to compensate us for. Movers were rude and disrespectful after damaging our possessions and owner issued a bill for double what their quoted price was and is now harassing us daily. We will be contacting the police to have him charged with harassment. Stay away from these people they are nasty and beyond unprofessional.

From first call to end of job, Scott, Randy and crew were terrific. Scott was very accommodating of our constantly moving dates. We needed two days and in both cases, Randy and the crew were there on time and got at the task quickly. They are fast but careful. Everything large and small was moved without any damage. I would use them for any future moving work and will refer anyone asking me to them. Thanks for a great move!
