I would give less than one star if I could. This was the worst moving experience I have ever had. It was confirmend to have the movers at my home at 8am, however no one showed up until 9 oclock, I called, left messages with no reply. When the movers finally arrived I mentioned to them that my scheduled time was actually at 8 oclock, to which they replied "well it's sunday" and then proceeded to drive down my street. I then assumed they were not returning. They did however, and everything seemed to be fine from there. Once everything was said and done I was told that I owed $230.00, however when I booked with them I asked for a complete quote and was told with the amount of items I had it would be $140.00. Now that is a substantial difference. I called to speek to the owner (scott) and he proceeded to YELL at me on the phone, telling me I can't expect them to work for free. Meanwhile I was trying to ask him why he would quote me $140.00 if that was not actually the cost. He then again yelled that it was per hour and I should have just "assumed" that in the first place. I asked if that was in total and I was told yes, now there may have been some miscommunication, however when I called to clarify things I was not even given the opportunity to speak, just attacked right away and screamed at on the phone for even questioning the situation. When you ask for a quote and you are told a certain amount of money, you should not assume that it is implied per hour! A quote is a quote, and I feel theived and disgusted by the service I recieved today. I have never been treated so poorly by anyone in the service industry, in which I also work. Please do not use Barrie Movers They are absoluetly terrible and I finished my day in complete tears. Just a disaster.
