I can take responsibility for not calling to say I was going to be late for pickup (hence 2 star and not 1 star) - we were busy today getting over the time zone difference, wedding preparations, meeting the priest, etc. And yes, our reservation was at 12, and we arrived at 4 pm. But to get no call for a one week reservation when our credit card was already on file before our car was given away is unacceptable from a customer service standpoint. Thankfully we are resourceful with contacts, but we see no reason to use enterprise in the future if this is a company policy. We have travelled for business often, and never had this issue. I would recommend a policy change - at least a phone call every time - as it stands now it seems like either enterprise, or your location, is interested in the dollar in front of them rather than building the long term relationships and trust.
I've rented a car from these guys a few times now. Daniel, who I believe is the assistant manager is extremely helpful and has the customer as his priority throughout. A great place to rent a car because of the price, customer service and vehicles themselves. Cheers!

Extremely slow service, which resulted into no service.
I have rented 3 times and all experience was superb! I made a reservation for today and turns out the truck was damaged, so they looked from the Canmore site to accommodate my request. They drove us from Banff to Canmore for the truck, and told me I can return it in Banff to avoid the inconvenience of commuting back.
We just wanted to add an additional driver to our contract. The salesperson wasn’t available and after we called them, they said they will be available at 4:30. They showed up around 15 mins late and it took us more than 30 mins to add a new driver. That’s because there were 2 more costumers and there were only 1 person. Enterprise should consider adding more staff in this branch

We had to turn around from Icefields Parkway because one of our wipers was broken and it was raining and dangerous. We found that Enterprise has a location in Banff. It's a counter inside a lodge and nobody was there even if it said "Open." Called the number provided many times to no avail. They might be playing hooky. So annoying and unprofessional.
Tyler was very helpful and provided excellent customer service. Our car broke down in Canmore so we booked an SUV online, Tyler let us know they didn't have one available until the next day. He set us up with a different car to get us to Banff that night and then called us the next day and drove an SUV from Canmore to Banff for us. We really appreciated his help and he went above and beyond for us, he deserves a raise!!!
Good competitive pricing
I had a good experience. However, it's true that the phone number of Banff office was not answering and their voicemail was full, so you cannot ask any questions. We arrived to the office in advance, there was nobody, but there was a note left to call the number of Canmore office. That one was answered immediately. The person arrived at the Banff office on time of our rental. The process was fast and smooth. We got a good car and flexibility to return in to Canmore if we prefer.
My experience here was probably the worst I ever had with a value of goods above the 50$ line! The sales person showed remarkable high values of impatience, unfriendlyness, unprofessionality and open shown aggression because I had questions about the contract I was about to sign. Never before have I experienced such a bad service in a place where you buy much more then just a bowl of ice cream. Maybe he was annoyed because I am not a native english speaker and I was unable to fully understand 2 paragraphs of the contracts frontpage on my own. After I read the front and went back to him to talk about what I didn't understand, he greeted me with "you don't need to sign it if you don't want". That was maybe the only good advice he gave me during the whole process. His explanation to the small paragraph was then "its a waver". As he was clearly getting angry and started to raise his voice I decided to move on to my second question about liability. In the contract the liability coverage for third party is limited to 200,000$. I asked him what would happen if a damage caused by me or the registered second driver would exceed this amount? His response was a really annoyed and snappy "in which case should that ever happen?". From my point of view a professional response would be 1) the truth: that I am solely responsible for any further damage to others which exceeds the monetary value of 200,000$ 2) he could maybe add his personal opinion, that the chance for this to happen is very very low etc... Instead he made me feel stupid for even asking and he added that "everyone in Canada would only have a 200,000$ third party liability". Sidefact:Ironically were at least 50% of the people in our 2 man conversation privately insured with 1Mio 3part liability. My private insurance doesn't even allow to go below a limit of 500,000$. I obviously didn't mention any of those thoughts as it was already difficult enough to talk about the facts which were written on the contract that was laying on the table between us. After I finally signed the contract with an uninformed and very bed feeling for the long planned trip, he brought us down to the car. He explained the controls to the other registered driver, said goodbye to her and turned away without even acknowledging me. In that moment I could only laugh to myself as I never experienced a service like this before.
Hands down the worst customer service I’ve ever received. We booked an online reservation for a car a week before our trip. When we arrived at Enterprise the gentleman in front of us didn’t have a reservation and he was told “I have a dirty car if you wait a little” so he waited and got the car. We then were next in line, showed our reservation confirmation and were told “we don’t have any cars, sorry.” So our reservation meant nothing? The response we got back was “ya I don’t know why the website let you book a car.” The guy working wasn’t professional, didn’t care that we had a reservation with places to be and no car and gave away their only car to a person who DIDN’T have a reservation. Don’t ever book with Enterprise in Banff, they don’t care about their customers and are unreliable.
If zero stars was an option I'd be choosing it. Horrible staff and worse customer service. Avoid like the plague. They tried making up for it in the end, but it was too little too late.
Had a reservation for 12pm. Came at 11:30 because I knew it closed early that day. No one was at the desk. Called several times and waited an hour. Never got a car.
Tyler was fantastic, helped me out in a bind. Was able to get a truck to me from Canmore in 2 hours, was flexible on a few things, and had great service. My second time renting from Tyler and I'll be back here everytime I need to rent a vehicle.
I thought picking up our rental would be a smooth interaction. We arrived from Toronto to Calgary and then took a bus to Banff due to a shortage of car rentals. (The bus service was exceptional) Enterprise Rent-A-Car at the Banff Caribou lodge was the only choice we had. I AM VERY DISSAPPOINTED at the service we received. We had someone by the name Tyler. From the start the vibes were not right. As we were going to check out the car, Tyler was pretty rude with other guests who had cars. One group was parked in the wrong area and there was no need to speak to the group in a rude manner. They seemed like young adults and you could tell they were surprised at the way he was speaking to them. At the start, I was standing in line (I was the only person in line) waiting for him to complete his call, and once completed I was not greeted and instead ignored. He welcomed my partner instead (who was not even waiting in line at the time) but joined later. My partner had lost his wallet upon arriving but had his ID. He would not allow us to use my credit card (with consent). Even with my Toronto, Ontario ID which could not be renewed I had a matching ID along with a credit card. But still would not allow us. My partner spoke on the phone with the manager, the manager also did not help in any way or give us any options. It made us feel as if we are stranded in an unknown city with no transportation and that our vacation would be ruined. Tyler made us feel completely stranded with no options, and the behavior and attitude was beyond upsetting. At multiple times he stated: not my problem, I don't care. He kept repeating that he did not want to get fired which is understanding. We were not trying to make him do something that would cost him his job, but there is a way of being helpful, considerate and giving options but we got none of that. He also mentioned that we could go find another place to find a car for all he cares, when clearly there is a shortage of rentals and the ones available are beyond expensive. Tyler also walked away several times as we were trying to speak to him at times would try to laugh it off, the whole situation was not funny at all. There was also a point where he was planning to go to another city and then come back to help us. We had limited time to do things in Banff and our car was ready at the time. (There was also a point where he said there was no car available but minutes later a car was magically available.) During this time I took the initiative to call customer service and the lady was kind enough to explain the rules and it was understandable. I also explained our situation and she was kind of taken a back as to why Tyler and the manager was not giving us options or allowing us to use my credit card. Customer service had the heart to apologize but Tyler did not till later in the end. Towards the end we figured something out. We were 4 travelers and 2 out of the 4 Tyler would not let us. Luckily we had a traveler that was 21 years old and things worked out with that, we did get charged daily for a young driver and only got $10 off. Our group expressed our feelings to Tyler, but he did not apologize till we brought it up. He claimed he was frustrated with us, but WE should be the ones frustrated as no one was helping us or giving us any other options. I felt there was some sort of racial profiling as we were the only POC around and he seemed to favor non POCs. I've had bad customer service before but this time it was truly a horrible experience. If you're planning to rent here be cautious or save the time and go elsewhere where you will be treated with respect and be treated as a human.
I am a Banff local and mostly choose Enterprise as my place to rent a vehicle from. Tyler is always pleasant and walks me through the features of the car, which I find helpful and am grateful for. Great customer service!
Really good service. Got an SUV instead of premium car which we booked because they don't have them in winter but an SUV suited us better.
Needed a rental before Canada day and everything was booked up I thought I was gonna be stranded in Banff but thankfully Jesse tracked a car down for me and I was on the road back to Edmonton by 2pm. The best part was I was in a big hurry he had all the forms and everything filled out in five minutes and I was on my way! A great place to rent a vehicle from !
This was my first car rental experience and it was terrible and disorganized. They had no cars available til 2pm later that day and they had turn a line away of about 5 people because of this at 8am when they opened. I had booked several months in advance and it shows how badly they are organized and that they don't keep a schedule of when they need cars. They just shrugged their shoulders and gave us the phone numbers to the other rental agencies in Banff.

Easy rental experience, good customer service and a quality car. I had to wait a bit in line for the car, but once I got there, they let me know that as a Gold Member, I just needed to walk out, pick the car I wanted and go - so the wait was a 'user error' and not the error of the company. The car selection is very robust and the return process is literally seamless. I just left the keys in the car and walked away and then ~30 minutes later I received an email with my invoice. It doesn't get much easier than that, especially if you are rushing to a flight like I was!

We had the conditions explained to us and completed the vehicle inspection with the employee. He explained the return instructions to us. It is very important to fill the car with gasoline as much as possible before returning to avoid charges. (Original) Nous avons loué pour 3 jours une Volkswagen Golf 2020. Puisqu’il était indiqué que l’entreprise ne possédait plus d’autos en ligne, la réservation s’est faite par téléphone. Le seul moment de panique que nous avons eu, c’était à notre arrivée. Aucun employé n’était présent. Finalement, l’employé est revenu une quinzaine de minutes plus tard. Pour le reste du service, tout est parfait. Nous nous sommes fait expliquer les conditions et avons accompli l’inspection du véhicule avec l’employé. Il nous a expliqué les consignes de retour. Il est bien important de remplir l’auto d’essence au maximum avant le retour pour éviter des frais.
Me or my friend had rented from enterprise many times while I was living in Banff. Right before I was leaving the country I rented for a bit over a week. On returning the car I notified staff that an existing crack in the windscreen had been enlarged when another rock hit the same place (yes it was already there as I took a video the day I picked it up -concerned how many cracks were already in the screen). The sales person apologised and said he wasn't the one who made decisions but told me it didn't breach any of the windscreen damage rules as far as he could see. 5 days later at 4:30 before a public holiday a charge was made to my credit card for the damages. It took me 2 weeks and many attempts to even get a response (at this point I had been out of the country for 12 days). The questions I asked were mostly unanswered or avoided and finally there was no response at all. 2 months later I get sent an extra $130 bill. ???? (Edit) don't be fooled by the smoke and mirrors of their automated response below. They show interest in all the bad reviews but it's all smoke and mirrors. I've responded to the email they supplied me multiple times and the response I've received is essentially 'hey, sorry to keep you waiting, let us see what's going on....' and then no further correspondence. The in store staff were amazing but the management staff were deceitful, dishonest and disrespectful. I wouldn't recommend this business to anyone.
Rented a car for the day and this place is a perfect example of how car rental should be run. Friendly and courteous desk staff, a quick checking out and in process and a clean, modern car for an unbeatable price in Banff. Will use again, cheers.

My friend was renting the car here as she was taking me to the airport. When she came nobody was there, nobody answered the phone and there was no car. I almost missed my flight and then even nobody apologized and nobody called. Enterprise just said to contact customer support, but they didnt do anything anyway. I assume there will be another comment here from enterprise" contact our support" but they dont care anyway...
Ever before I dealt with rental companies it was a nightmare for me but I don’t have words to congratulate Enterprise that they have such an Amazing staff like Habib and Chris. I had an accident and was expecting to have a hard time with rental as heard from others. 5-star is so much less to explain how they were courties enough to pick me up from Fix Auto Summerside and when my car was fixed, the guys had my back to drop me off at the workshop. I had a VW Brand new Jetta. Amazing driving experience. I don’t know about others but I can assure that Enterprise (Summerside) is not only getting my business but my friends are also ready to have some bookings done for summers. DO NOT RENT A CAR HERE!!! We put a reservation and got a confirmation call at that morning, we confirmed that we'll be on time for pick up the car and the staff promised he'll keep a car for us. However, there was no staff at the counter when we arrived. We called twice and waited for 30 mins and a staff showed up and told us WE HAVE NO CAR AVAILABLE. I've heard that this company takes overbooking a lot so this could happen, hut I didn't think it's true cuz it sounds ridiculous to me. We eventually got a car after 2 hours from Canmore and we even need to drive it back by ourselves.

The man assisted me with the car rental is really nice person, I don’t know what’s his name but he dressed up,and gave good suggestions and helps with the insurance and car! He should get promotion????????

You need to leave a voice message for them to get back to you, but nobody will call you back. I really needed the car to get to the airport and had to rush and rent another car from another rental car. I spoke to the hotel staff who said there was a lot of complaints because enterprise does not delivery the cars as promised. Very frustrating and i will never rent a car with enterprise again.
