Cross Country Movers saved our move. The moving company we had hired canceled the day before our move. I called Country Movers and he was able to fit us in the next day! They called and kept us informed of arrival times. The crew were AMAZING! The best movers we've ever had. They were efficient, nice and were professionals. The price was very reasonable. ** I’m posting a reply to the “owners reply”**** You did NOT call me, nor did you let me speak to someone in charge. You were rude and unapologetic towards the situation you put me in. And if your only reply is that you only have to give me 24hr notice is bull!!! I am moving OUT OF PROVINCE, how do you expect me to find a company that could move me in less than 48hrs? “Your answer “You’ve lucky I’m still talking to you”. YOU ARE RUDE, and have no consideration for the stress you have put me under!!!!! The way you conduct yourselves is UNPROFESSIONAL, I booked 1 month in advance to be told it wasn’t worth it to your company to deliver my “small load”!!!! That’s what I was told. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!!! I can’t even give this company a rating! THEY CANCELED MY MOVE 24hr BEFORE I HAD TO MOVE OUT!! They didn’t even have the decency to call me. They sent me an email!!! Their reason for cancelling, because they didn’t want to take my smaller move, so they would hold my belongings for an undisclosed amount of time because they don’t know when they will be going to the town I’m moving to!!!! The only answer that I continued to get was “we will refund you your money”, because I was not being flexible!!! ARE YOU KIDDING!! I will be posting the disgusting email they sent to me and contacting the BBB. They have left me less than 48hrs to find someone to move me out of the province, this is completely despicable. When I asked to speak to someone in charge I was told that it didn’t matter who I talked to, my move has been canceled! DO NOT USE THIS SO CALLED COMPANY. THEY ARE POTENTIALLY PUTTING ME ON THE STREETS!

Overall average experience. The movers who came and packed our house showed up late and took quite a long time to load, did not use two of the bags we provided for furniture so we ended up paying for two of the movers bags we didn’t need. They also broke one of our items by not packing it in the proper area of the truck. The truck and movers who unloaded our house were great they were super efficient and great to deal with. They put boxes in the rooms they were supposed to go in and did the whole unpack in a couple hours. The guys who did the unpack i would recommend to anyone they were awesome. One of items was broken before the truck left Edmonton and we were not informed of it at the time we were informed upon our stuff arriving. We were told our stuff would not be unpacked until we paid our final invoice in full which I felt was not great business but understood and paid in full. The claims process for our broken item was a very difficult one. We submitted our claim and ended up having to reach out to the company to get a status update and that update we were told we would not be compensated at all for the broken item. We spoke with a manager a few days after our claim was denied and she was helpful and resolved our issue fairly.

No recommended my worst move ever, unless you get everything detailed about your move in writing. Recently moved from Edmonton to Delta BC, they picked up my stuff on June 29th, arrival was discussed with Dina to be on July 2nd or 3rd, well my stuff arrived half of it on July 8th, and the other half on July 9th, and I found out that my furniture was transferred into 3 different trucks throughout the journey. Now imagine the beating on your furniture while moving it from one truck to another. As you see from photos not a single furniture was safe, all my stuff have deep scratches, and few broken glasses. I did send an email to Dina, no answer yet on how I will be compensated for all these damages. Safe yourself and stay away.
