The movers were good and professional, but I was charged more than I was told over the phone. I was charged for an hour of driving that did not occur. And the 9% fuel surcharge tax should only have been applied to travel time, but was applied to when the truck was off and they were moving. I would not recommend this company as they make up pricing during the move. You cant trust what you hear over the phone or read on the internet.

The planning of the move and the organization was handled perfectly by Charles and his team. They even showed up about 10 minutes earlier. They were super fast and friendly. They got a big move done in about 3 hours. My only issue is that I was quoted for 2 men at $115 an hour plus an hour travel time. No problem. On the day of the move, there were 3 men on the job and Charles told my husband something of a changed plan to which he didn't relay to me...and I am the one paying. As a result I was charged $149 per hour for 3 men even though I didn't agree to this...and I was also charged $16 for 4 rolls of tape that was used. Something I was not made aware of. Though I would rate these guys a 5 star based on their kindness, moving ability and thoroughness, I have to give 3 stars because I was overcharged an extra $120 because they decided to bring along a 3rd guy because of their own glitch. When I brought this up to Charles, he refunded me $8...not sure why or how...but I jet let it go. Basically a $475 move ended up turning in to an almost $700 move with my tip. That's basically over $200 an hour! Thank goodness it was only 3 hours WITH drive time included...but still....as lovely as these guys are, make sure you confirm EVERYTHING with them on the day they arrive. If there is an extra guy, you WILL get charged for it whether you like it or not.

Toby and Justin at Calgary Pro Movers are the best movers you will ever find. Here's why I can tell you that: I move a lot. I always have. I am rarely in the same place for more than a year or two. So, I've had a lot of experience with moving. Toby and Justin from Calgary Pro are so good it blew my mind. As a person with a lot of moving experience, I had my whole move planned out, including back up movers and an extra van to deal with items that got left behind. These guys were so good that I had to change my plans because they did more than I expected and did it so well I didn't need my backup plan at all. For details: Toby and Justin are professional. They took so much care with my stuff that I actually learned things I will use in my next move. These guys understand how to move your items while keeping them safe and secure. My move with them if the first one I've had that had not a single item lost or damaged. As careful as they are, these guys are also very strong. Sorry to say it, but often you'll get movers that don't have the strength to lift heavier items, which often means you need more guys, or that your stuff gets damaged. I called the office in advance to suggest that I might need more than two guys, but Calgary Pro knew these guys could handle it. So, they are professional, take great care with your stuff, and they are serious when it comes to moving your valuables. That would be enough to make these guys the best movers I have ever met. But the other thing is they are also great people. My move was tough. I have a lot of really heavy stuff that had to be carried through some tricky spaces. My friends and I joked with them because they were so kind to everyone, when we thought they should be mad at us for having such a difficult move. As an example: we kept suggesting that they take a break, or not worry about certain items, but every time I brought this up, they told me that they wanted to do the job in a way that would make me happy. Even after they were done, we all kept talking about how amazing they were. So now, I am almost a day ahead of schedule with my move, and all my stuff is perfectly placed and in great shape. I think my favourite part of all of the move was seeing two men who really take their work seriously. These are guys who have a lot of skill and talent and who really remind you of the importance of caring about what you do and how you do it. That is rare these days, and that is why I am writing this long review. From the minute you meet Toby and Justin until the inute they leave you can count on exceptional work. They walked me through all the paperwork up front, did all the moving, then walked me through the details and bill at the end. Every single part of the work was done to the highest standard. Whatever the highest possible review is, double it, and that is Toby and Justin from Calgary Pro. Three cheers to you gentlemen. You guys are the best. Thank you Calgary Pro for making this my best move so far. You are the only movers I will call from now on...but wait, let's add one more note: all of this happened during COVID times. So Toby and Justin and Calgary Pro outperformed anyone I've ever worked with - and they did it at a time when everything is harder to do. That, my friends, is some superhero level stuff. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Moving is never cheap, but I thought the pricing was reasonable. The movers (Joe and Joseph?) confirmed the rates before starting, and were very quick and efficient. People usually complain I walk too quickly, but I felt like I was in their way in the hallways because they worked so quickly. I had most things organized from moving recently so if shouldn't have taken too long, and indeed we finished in 3 hours start to finish. Nothing was damaged, and I still had the rest of my day. I appreciated their efficiency especially because they charge hourly. Ironically they were more worried about the time because they wanted to be early for the next job. All in all it was a great experience, and I happily tipped more.

Tried to get a quote from them today and had a very poor experience. As recommend by the BBB, I ask all moving companies if they are insured, and if so, with who and for how much. When I asked this information, the person on the phone told me they were insured, but would not give any further information, claiming they did not know. I asked when someone would be available in the office who does know, and again "I don't know." I was then told "If you don't believe it from my mouth, then you should go somewhere else." Really unacceptable answer to what is a standard question for a moving company. Edit: since the owner replied; If I did call someone else, then they have the same phone number as you, because I got the number off the same Google page where I left the review.

We were really nervous about hiring movers after hearing a lot of people's bad experiences. To top it off, we were getting well under way with the second wave of COVID, so we really needed movers that would respect our safety. Caleb and Austin did a phenomenal job moving us out of our condo into our new house. They were very respectful of us and our belongings, and worked efficiently without making mistakes from rushing. Charles was also very responsive whenever I had questions and always got back to me in a timely fashion. They were very transparent about their pricing, and Caleb even told me that if I had not been warned about the fuel surcharge he would waive it (I was, so I paid it.) All in all, great experience and would recommend them to anybody who needs to move.

They broke my couch. Most of my experience was pretty great. The guys appeared to take great care of my belongings. I did think it was a bit strange that I paid for their travel time - and then they added a full hour of travel time at the end. After I thanked the guys and tipped them, I discovered my couch leg had been broken completely off by the movers. They then had wrapped the leg in tape and attempted to put it back in place. They did not even tell me that they had broken it. I only came to realize when I sat on the couch and it was very unstable. I have emailed 3 times - absolutely no response. Super disappointing. I paid largely in cash - so the mover took the invoice with him - which was a mistake on my part. I did pay the remainder to my mastercard though.

The workers were super pleasant to work with, but that’s about the extent of the positives. Very disorganized, seemed lost at times. I had to step in and start taking over the move just to make sure we could finish. Ran about three hours over. During furniture assembly, they broke a river on my table, marked up the freshly painted wall and couldn’t finish the work without leaving. After they left, noticed a huge scratch in our wood dining room table and leather couch. When it came to billing, they called their boss Charles who tried to build in an extra hour. Edit: Got a call from their issues manager Mark Anthony who was kind and offered to help. He was empathetic and offered to help. Was supposed to call me back on the following Monday but yet to receive the call back weeks later.

Amazing and exceptional experience! Our first contact with Charles was polite and thorough. He ensured I had the correct address and contact phone for the move date. Then when I found out the apartment changed our allowed elevator time, he kindly changed our moving window. They also called ahead when on their way and updated us on heavy traffic. They were clean, thorough and very polite. The packed up the large furntiure after disassembling it, and got the truck loaded very quickly. The most amazing part was the end of the delivery. The elevator at the new place was to be used by another tenant. They had hired another moving company and paid for the move (not by the hour) so this mover was VERY RUDE and AGRESSIVE to us and the Calgary Promovers. The other tenant was in tears because her mover was so rude. He yelled, threatened and even walked into our apartment shouting. We had to call security and tell him we'd call the police. The ENTIRE TIME, the ProMover crew was quiet, polite and nonconfrontational. They quickly unloaded the truck, moved our stuff to the hall to avoid these horrible people.. and they helped up carry things up in short small loads in the regualr elevator to avoid the crazy Russsian mover who was still screaming. So in addition to being great movers, they also handled a very scary and confrontational situation with class and respect. AWESOME JOB!!!!

HORRIBLE!! Do NOT go with Calgary “pro” movers. 2 men showed up to move (an already packed/prepared) 2 bedroom condo and it took them 8 HOURS (Over $1000) !!!!! Using unprofessional language, acting disrespectful towards me and took 1 hour to make a 24km drive. These movers were inconsiderate of the fact that we paid by the hour, extremely SLOW just dragging their feet. You know what they say, don’t ever rely on other people. I should have done this myself and could have in half the time. Terrible experience and would not recommend.

Used them for three moves from one house, first two moves they were two hours late due to over booking and not getting enough information for each move. Third move I had to call them after they were already late and Charles send he didn't have the address???? Very unprofessional and very disorganized. Moving is not the time you want this headache. Thanks to the owner CHARLES OKAFOR for NOT responding my calls or text message after confirming with me the morning of the move. Movers were supposed to be here between 3-5pm and no one contacted me to let me know if they were gonna be late or even show up. I got no response from Charles at all. I had to call him several times to get a hold of him. His accent was so heavy and I could barely understand him on the phone. I don't care if the crew is running behind but at least have the courtesy of giving me a heads up. Then I told Charles to cancel the move and his response was he did not realize that the movers did not tell me they were gonna be late. This was after almost 2 hours from the last hour when they said they would be here. I am puzzled with the positive reviews this company has received.

They also had to use some problem solving skills for a difficult piece of furniture which wouldn’t fit back out of our apartment, and ended up saving us from buying a new couch! Asked for a quote to move my 3 bdrm house contents....only reply I got was for their hourly rate; no mention of extra costs which came to light only when it was time to pay. Decided to go with them because of their google rating anyways. Services I paid for: packing & moving. The three Packing folks were hard working and friendly, but they spent time repacking stuff that was already packed and didn't label many boxes; the ones they did label had absolutely no detail in regards to contents. When it came time to pay, found out that there were extra charges for materials, like tape, paper, and boxes. Suggest Buy your own boxes as their price was almost double U-Haul and had no handholds. Moving day, there was supposed to be three guys to move my contents; only two showed up which meant that I would a higher hourly rate per person that was quoted, and it took much longer than expected. They didn't bring a big enough truck, so after a full day, there was still three pickup truck loads for me to move on my own.. The guys doing the work were hard-working and friendly. When it came time to pay, found out about the "fuel surcharge" which had not been mentioned by anyone previously. I wouldn't recommend this company.

If I could give the movers five stars and the company less, I would. The movers themselves were amazing. They showed up early, were efficient and worked hard, and were polite. After initially receiving a quote and booking the move, I did not receive a single email response back from this company. It was frustrating trying to communicate or discuss the move with them, as speaking with them was like pulling teeth. That being said, everything was moved in one piece and it didn't take too long to actually move. Probably will be using a different moving company if needed in the future.

They helped us with our move from Calgary to Cochrane. As many others mentioned they were polite and punctual. The reason that I gave them 3 star is that when they packed everything and moved toward the destination (it was around 5pm) I noticed that the truck turn into a mall and they went to eat. They ended up showing up 30 min later. I called the office and apparently it is normal to do for them. I get that it is hard work and they need to rest, but it shouldn’t be out of customer’s pocket.

The good: they moved all my stuff in 1 day. The bad: Some things were damaged and some things were lost during the move, and a few things arrived dirty (as if a bag of top soil had spilled on top of them). I knew about the dirty things because they were plain to see. I didn't realize things had been damaged or lost until the next day. I have moved a few times over the years and this is the only time I've had things damaged, lost, and dirtied. I contacted the owner and he was not interested in discussing a resolution. Based on the reviews, it seems they have many satisfied customers. I'm just not one of them.

I wish I could post along with the other reviews but my experience has been awful. I hired movers to remove the stress from the move and it has by far been the most stressful part. They were expected at 9am. The person never showed up. Called the owner and a different team (who bear none of the blame) were supposed to show up at 1. Got a call at 1:30 that they would come at 6pm. End up hiring another company that came out promptly at 3pm. I'm just lucky there was another company available at such short notice

Professional, efficient, and excellent communication. I booked a move with Calgary Pro Movers on July 10 for three movers. Flat rate of $170/hr (whole move totalled 5.5hrs). The movers came on time and started to get down to business after checking the house and reviewing its contents. They were consistently moving and didn't waste time in getting the work done. All the movers were very attentive to the instructions given to them. They informed me of any existing damages to some of our things before moving them; nevertheless, they still moved everything with as much care as possible. Upon getting to the new house, the movers managed to improvise their unloading as the concrete by our garage was unluckily just applied an hour before we got there. Nonetheless, they managed to figure out how to park their truck and unload our things as quickly and efficiently as possible. A big shout out to Toby, John, and JB for their effort in moving around our stuff. They are very strong individuals and would love for them to come move for us in the future if need be. Thank you to Charles for being punctual and professional with communicating with myself and the movers. These guys live up to their name. No damages occurred to either old or new house. 10/10.

That being said, the two guys that I had were excellent. Wow - I just called Calgary Professional Movers and spoke with Charles Okafo, after requesting and receiving a quote for a move. He was incredibly rude and defensive when I asked routine questions about how the move would be accomplished, i.e. what kind of materials would be used to wrap things, do they supply runners, etc. His response was "we are professional movers and you are asking all these questions like we don't know what we are doing." Most moving companies are eager to share exactly how they pack things, what they supply, etc. I guess this company does not want my business - which is good, because they aren't getting it and I will make sure my network knows not to use it.

The elevator was down during our move to our new building, and the guys carried everything up the stairs without a single word of complaint. Very impressive. This company was incredibly unprofessional! It was quite literally the WORST possible experience I could have expected. After breaking our treadmill (both handles were literally hanging by wires), and damaging the walls in my house, they would not leave until I paid them cash. When we spoke the management (Charles Ok***or), he did not care one bit about our broken and damaged items one bit. So long as the treadmill turned on they took that as good enough. I paid a significant amount of money for "work done" and have been left with 2 walls to patch and paint, and costly piece of equipment now worth $0. It was so bad, we wouldn't even let the movers into our new house, quite literally asking them to leave it all at the door. Be WARNED, this company is seemingly doing jobs under the table, and do not care about the people who are paying them. The invoice they gave us was (literally) a scribble on a crumpled piece of paper, and the fact they would not take anything but cash, seems wildly suspect! We had a relatively easy job, we were quoted at ~3 hours, and the movers spent 6 hours, taking smoke breaks, and 10 minutes with each trip to the truck. They let our furniture sit in the snowy gutter, and spent 50 minutes driving to the new location when it is a 20 min drive. They provide an hourly rate of $115, but do not warn you about a 9% fuel surcharge until they arrive... I was completely disheartened by the whole experience. At the very least, I would have thought that a company with the name Professional Movers would have management that cared about their customers and were willing to stand behind their name. The name of this company could not be more ironic. Stay away from this company - they are unscrupulous!

Excellent job! I called these guys on short notice for a move from a house to an apartment and I was very happy with the service we received. Two movers arrived on time on a Sunday which worked well into my schedule, we discussed the pricing per hour before hand as well as concerns I had regarding furniture care and the importance of handling during furniture drop-off since the flooring in the new home is brand new and susceptible to scratching. One of the movers, John, shovelled the snow off the walkway and mainsteps before they started the job, then rolled narrow carpets into the house towards all the rooms that needed to be accessed - they also wore indoor runners during this process. Every peice of furniture was thickly wrapped with light blankets and secured with additional wrapping tape before placed in the moving truck, there was no additional charge. They disassembled everything as needed and reassembled it all securely once it arrived at the new place. The whole move took about four and a half hours, the movers were polite, respectful, and handled everything with care including the sensitive flooring. They are very reasonably priced which helps as a student, needless to say I will be calling them again in the future for my next move. Highly recommend them, thanks guys!

Charles and Joseph - where do I begin! I'm a very particular customer who has a lot of high end items that needs special handling. The pieces I have are quite heavy and bulky. I kept a close eye on them and gave them very specific instructions and they were more than happy to comply - great customer service. I watched as one very heavy piece was strapped onto both men coming down from the second floor! They are both really strong and pay close attention to detail, making sure no damages were done to my home or to the furniture. When we got to my new condo, the carpet was still wet due to it being recently shampooed. They were ok taking their shoes and socks off and assembled my bed in this type of environment. Talk about going the extra mile. I would highly recommend them as its tough to find people who want to work hard these days. Nothing beats a good work ethic.

We called them same day after another company left us in the lurch. Amazingly professional, fast and efficient, respectful and careful movers. Came on time and worked constantly. We completely trusted them and felt no need to manage them. They protected our carpets with tarps and were very careful with our items. The only feedback is that they wanted to charge us an extra tax (I think 9%) unless we paid cashed with therefore forced us to go get cash. Reveipts were still provided so not sure what that was about... however overall an amazing company who we would gladly use again and have recommended to others who have so far all been very happy with them too!

Joseph and Essan just left my new place. They were on time, very careful with all my things, and couldn't be more courteous. Very professional and kind young men. They even wrapped everything with blankets and packing tape, which I never expected or asked for. They did it all on the spot and moved me from my two-bedroom downtown to Sherwood in the NW during rush hour. Whole thing took exactly 4 hours, including the packing, driving, and unpacking. How bout giving me a 100 of my money back after i load the invoice for you. Im sure you will then say its a fake invoice. I didnt even have any apliances such as fridge, stove, dryer washer. They got there on early at 8:50 and finished at 11:20. ( this full time includes 20 minutes of driving time. 2 godamn hours and 10 minutes of work 20 mins driving time and you charged me 460. The yellow invoice from you will be uploaded tonight. This is 100 percent a legit review and it will stay, when you way overcharge people this is what happens so you can be acountable for it. Alot of your 5 star reviews come from acounts with only 1 review hmmmm? On a unrelated note ill also be looking into that you actually pay the taxes on what i was charged too.

Two months ago, I hired this company to move from Red Deer to Calgary and paid over $5000 for packaging and moving. The packagers came a day before the moving date and packed everything. With a few weeks old infant, I was not able to monitor how they were doing their job, but assumed they would do it correct due to their positive reviews. They claimed to be the top movers in Calgary. To my disappointment, there were several furnitures(all very expensive ones) that had some minor damages which I could ignore but there were few items which were badly damaged. I noticed one on the moving day and brought that to the notice, they said they will take that piece to have it repaired. I only held $1000 for the item. The cost of that dining cabinet is $4000 even today. The server would cost around $2200 which got damaged and I have the Hutch but I can't really use it without the server so I am in loss of $4000 now. The packers packed them upside down which damaged the carved part.They also damaged my Console table leg( the packers didn't remove the legs before packing), it's suppose to be sturdy since it's made of real hard wood. The console is over $2000 and when I brought this to the notice to Charles the owner, he said he needs to take that console too to get it repaired. Since he already had my one item with him for $1000 held back for a damage which costed me $4000, I thought I should try and get some carpenter to fix that for me. Everyone knows how sensitive the grandfather clock is to moving and if anyone does not know how to move them, they should tell us that in advance but my grandfather clock is stuck and I need to spend over $500 to fix it. There were several issues with the packaging, they didn't understand that the items could be rare or expensive. The heavy crystal fruit basket was packed with wince glasses, of course all my wince glasses broke along with other cutleries. They broke my daughter's bed headboard too. My Onyx vas(approx. $500) head was chipped too as it was on my entrance, they packed it with shoes in the closet without even wrapping it. Now the problem is that Charles does not respond to my phone calls or emails and is holding on to my cabinet. If you have some expensive items, they are not the people you should go to. Not recommended. I would give them no stars if I could.

Worst move ever! 5 1/2 hrs to move a 1 bdrm condo 13 blocks...almost $800...how is that possible? someone else actually showed up later in the day as it took so long!!!! absolutely do not recommend them....should be called Calgary slow movers...

Calgary Promovers really made my moving day stress free, Charles and his crews to be exact. They showed up on time, as soon as I signed the contract my boxes were packed and loaded and stacked carefully, my furniture’s packed, wrapped and loaded within a short period of time. It would have taken me days to move all my stuff. Basically it just makes sense to hire them. You’ll be happy. I will recommend Calgary Promovers to anybody, I was impressed.

Unfortunately there isn't an option to give 0 stars but if I could I would. Insanely disrespectful employees not reliable, or friendly at all. I'd advise to stay away from this place if you want your stuff to actually be safe. Damaged stuff, stuff lost and they definitely scam you for more money. Tobby and Adam were extremely prompt. They arrived at almost exactly the start of their arrival window. They moved quickly, but safely. They took apart furniture for me. While there was a break, it was a flimsy part on an old piece of IKEA furniture and they told me immediately. All of my nice things arrived without a ding. The price was almost what I expected, but don’t forget Calgary Pro Movers charges for travel time to and from the shop.

My husband booked a two-man crew to move us from a townhouse (with lots of stairs and narrow stairways) to a detached house (also with lots of stairs and narrow hall/stairways) last weekend. Gavin and another team member arrived on time and started to work right away. I was extremely impressed with how fast and efficient they were, and how all of our furniture was nicely wrapped, taped and protected. We had multiple pieces of furniture and boxes that we were concerned about (very heavy/awkward to carry, or both) and both guys handled them like they were nothing. I had a box labeled "HEAVY: 2 people to carry" and Gavin carried it down from the truck and into the house like it was empty. Both movers were so friendly and polite, and respectful of all of our belongings and our property. They didn't take any breaks and they were working just as hard towards the end as they were at the beginning! I was extremely impressed with their professionalism. We were moved in just over 6 hours, for a move that I'm sure would have taken DAYS if we enlisted the help of friends. No damage to our house and the only furniture casualty was a slightly damaged dresser leg, no big deal considering we had tons of stuff. Final charges were more than reasonable, and we were extremely satisfied with the service we got. I would highly recommend this company!

Used them for a local move in Calgary. The truck was small however I told them the size of the house so they left some items and refused to make a second trip ( however the distance was 6 minutes driving). Also they spent about 2 hours reinstalling the couch legs that they took it out for for the move ( which is supposed to be 5 minutes job ) and charged me for all that time. The good thing they are nice people and took care of the furniture, no damage or scratches. The whole experience was not too bad but I won’t hire them again and don’t recommend this company to any friend
