Terrible communication. Requested to book after I received the quote, never heard back. Attempted to verify two nights before the proposed appointment time, never hears back. The night before I was sent a request to confirm, to which I responded yes. He no-showed on the "appointment" and would not respond to phone calls or emails about it. Reading other reviews this behaviour does not seem out of the ordinary so I will be taking my business elsewhere.

I had Calgary Piano movers move a piano for me. Had a bit of trouble with communication through email. Response time was a bit behind. I would recommend calling them to book and confirm. Their phone response times are quick and easy. They were in and out of the house pretty quick. Took less than an hour (drive between locations was 15 mins). I would definitely recommend. Great value and the movers were friendly!

Recently I found myself in a position where I needed to find a good home for an antique piano in beautiful condition. The owner of this piano wanted very much for this piano to go to a family member. Sadly there is very little family left, and those that are, were unable to take it. The next plan was to donate it to somewhere that would take good care of it. I went online looking at where to donate a piano. Calgary piano movers popped up. I called and spoke to Fernando who was very helpful. He explained that they don't take donations but could give me advice on how and where to donate. He was very kind and didn't rush me at all, giving me the information I needed to make the right choice for the owner of the piano. One of the suggestions was a seniors facility. The owner's daughter was recently moved to hospice care so I thought I would call there and spoke to a lady named April at the facility. Due to some circumstances when my friend had been delivered there, she had an idea who might be the owner of that piano. Long story short, she grew up in the same area as my friend and new they needed a piano there. I told her my story of trying to find a good home for the piano and how Fernando from Calgary piano movers had helped me. She immediately jumped on board to help the family in her childhood community. After meeting with me to see the piano, she immediately said she wanted to call Calgary piano movers to do the job and repay Fernando's kindness. She was planning on paying for the delivery of the piano out of her own pocket, but once she told Fernando the story he offered to deliver it for free. She called and told me holding back the tears. Fernando and his partner(I'm so sorry I forgot your name)texted when 20 minutes out, arrived a few minutes early and got to work. They took great care with the piano, were very professional and friendly. I had been making suggestions for 3 years to piano's owner on what to do with it, and none of my ideas were even considered until this one. It was such a relief to her that it would be loved and cared for as she had done, and her mother before her. Thanks again Fernando for your kindness and generosity, and most of all for steering me in the right direction to make one 93 year old woman very happy :)

Fernando and crew are absolutely FANTASTIC! They are professional and extremely knowledgeable on how to move a piano. My baby grand piano was upstairs in my loft which made it an extremely difficult move to get it around two tight corners and down the stairs. He had all the right tools and knew the strategy to get the piano moved with no damage to my home or to the piano. Another piano mover came to my house and refused the job. Fernando was called and he got the job done, no problem, because he knew what he was doing. Kudos to Fernando!

Let me just say.. This was probably one of the best customer service experiences I have had, from food to property sales. I was searching the net for piano movers near to me (I needed a piano moved from Banff to Red Deer).. I didn't even think to ask a company in the middle. But to my mistake, the local companies on both ends offered rates that were grossly higher than these guys(Your milage may vary haha) but the pricing was DANG solid compared to those guys. So I decided to see what was up. I called them on a Friday night(pretty late) and they set me up for a decent distant drive that Sunday. I didn't think it would be that easy. I got a lot of help from the phone dispatcher, and he keeps a very close relationship with his movers. Through "first contact" until the end, if I had questions, the dispatcher quickly touched base with his drivers and got back to me. The times quoted were damn near perfect. The service was excellent. The movers were knowledgeable and gave me advice as to where I should place my piano, and even offered to help me with some other stuff. They were polite, careful, and absolutely professional I know I may be coming off strong, but there are many businesses out there that could benefit from this kind of service. 5Stars. These guys deserve your attention. :)

These guys were very friendly and careful yet efficient. My move was scheduled from 11am-3pm and the piano was picked up transport across a good portion of the city and placed by 12:30. Could have been even faster but they had to wait for me to get back to the house. I had a cheaper company bail out on a previous move attempt. This is the cheapest good quality reliable company out there.

Fernando and his team have moved our treasured (giant) antique piano twice now, both times flawlessly, and without a hitch. Our old house had very tricky corners, and our new house has a very narrow entrance paired with very steep stairs to get it in the basement... but they were so pleasant and positive that I actually commented on how "not stressed and upbeat" they were about the task at hand. They were cautious and respectful of my flooring, walls, paid attention to details. Fernando is quick to respond, accommodated our ridiculous schedule, and was the best price around on top of it. The website prices were lower than quoted when we spoke on the phone and they gave an 8 hour pickup window instead of 4 like their website stated. I ended up having to go with a different company. Not just Pianos! Audiophiles welcome... I had a pair of specialty speakers moved from Toronto to Calgary. Fernando was an excellent communicator and managed my logistics challenges well. He and team took time to manage my move, involve me in the inspection, move, and placement of my gear. I would highly recommend Calgary Piano Movers, and was pleased to know Fernando does out of city moves for when we build in BC.

I am not sure what happened to these guys, I have used them 3 times previously and they were always profesional and great to deal with. However they have went way downhill and now neglect their clients, even there repeat customers. I called them 3 days in advance of the move, the guy who answered was extremely dismissive and just told me to text him the address and he would send me a confirmation. No confirmation was ever sent, calles them the day before the move to confirm, again I was dismissed and told ya ya I will get a text confirmation within the hour. 4 hours later still nothing, called again and was told they would be there between 10am and 1pm, advised them my pregnant spouse would be there to let them into the move site. Now on move day come 12:30pm no contact from them, my spouse calls them and is told they will text them an eta and hung up on her. Come 1:30pm no contact, my spouse calls them again and is told to text them the address, and they will text an eta. Come 2pm no response to my spouse text, so she calls them again, and there was no answer, then she got a text stating they were enroute and would be there in 25minutes. Come 3:30pm still no sign of them or contact, I tried calling them and no answer so my spouse finally went home. These guys knowingly made an 8month pregnant women sit in an empty condo from 10am to 4pm continually leading her on that they were coming, just disgusting and so unprofessional. Spend the extra money an hire a professional company that will actually show up. I ended up hiring precision moving, and could not have been happier, gave me a timeframe of 1:30 to 2:30, they were there at 1:45, had the piano loaded and were out the door by 2:15. I will be using them for all my future piano moves, just remember you get what you pay for, don't cheap out and make the mistake I did in hiring the Calgary Piano movers

I was extremely disappointed in my service from Calgary Piano Movers. I called on Monday to set up delivery for Friday. At the time I talked to an accommodating employee. I had a confirmed date and time frame (8-12) within 15 minutes of our conversation where they said they would call 30 minutes before arrival. After we confirmed a time I inquired about insurance options. They told me they needed certain information about the make and model of the piano and I said "ok thanks" and did not go forward with the insurance. Fast-forward to Friday, I wait until noon and never received a call about arrival. I called just after 12:00 and asked if they were still coming. The boss answered and was busy, asked if he could call me back in 5. In the meantime I sent him a screenshot of the address and booking to confirm that it was all agreed upon. When he called me back he had a very angry tone. Asking why did I sent him a screen shot, I tried to explain to him I just wanted to show him the confirmation and he raised his voice and said "get your act together, I'll be there in 30 minutes" and hung up the call. I also wanted information on how he wanted paid whether we would be billed or he wanted paid right after the move via cash cheque etc. I called back to ask and he told me "You ask too many questions, I don't have time for this" and again hung up the phone. At this time I was dumbfounded and called back to cancel the move but, received no answer so I sent a quick text message and told him not to bother with the move. Later on an employee of his called me back to explain that there had been a misunderstanding. The misunderstanding was caused by my asking for insurance and since I never confirmed that I wasn't interested in insurance they assumed the previous confirmation of time and date was void. I don't agree with this I feel like they should've confirmed with me whether or not I wanted them to move the piano as we had previously confirmed everything despite the insurance inquiry. Besides this point the owner should not have acted the way he did on the phone and should've been able to explain the misunderstanding before getting angry over a screen shot of his own confirmation and raising his voice then getting his employee to call me back saying he couldn't deliver the piano. There was no apology and acted arrogantly as if, they are doing me a favour when I am paying them for their services. Very unprofessional.

They very gently moved a 110 year old piano from the basement to the main floor, then moved a newer piano to the basement of our parish hall. They were very professional and pleasant to deal with. Called to get a quote. They asked if they could call me right back. Didn't hear anything for 2 hours so I called again. This time they said they would text me a quote as soon as I got off the phone. Didn't receive the quote until several hours later. They said they could come on Friday between 10 and 2. I confirmed with them that this would work and made arrangements to be home during that timeframe. They did not show up. No text or call to explain why or setup a new time. Haven't heard from them since. The poor communication and delayed responses should have tipped me off earlier. Don't waste your time with these guys.

Showed up very late after our appointment window for the piano move, then refused to move the piano. When you're moving apartments and have to literally have everything out by a certain date - having this bizarre level of unreliability is catastrophic. This completely dismantled our day and week as we scramble to find someone else to move the piano as we give up possession on the house it's currently in. If I had known they would blow us off completely, then ignore all our phone calls to reschedule, I would have booked with someone else. As it is they've completely shred their credibility in my eyes. This company isn't fit to move garbage Looking back through their reviews, I'm now very suspicious. I see a lot of people have these experiences. Mostly what you're getting with this company is a tech savvy web developer who got them the best looking Google card compared to the rest of the movers in Calgary.

DO NOT RECOMMEND. Absolutely the worst experience ever. I contacted this company by telephone on January 28, 2020 asking if they would be able to move a piano from NE Calgary to the NW. I was told that it would not be a problem and given a verbal price that included delivery plus an extra amount for each step they would have to go up at my house. I sent a text as per their request outlining and detailing the proposed move with a specific address at the airport and my home address. I was informed in a text reply that the move will take place between 9 a.m. and noon and that I would receive a text 30 minutes prior to their arrival. Upon arriving at the warehouse the following morning (today), I received a text indicating an ETA of their drivers in 13 minutes. I then proceeded to load up a shipment that I had at the same warehouse and I kept an eye out for Calgary Piano movers. At 10:22 a.m. I received a text saying that the movers went to the address provided and questioning if it was a house or a commercial building. I explained to them that I was still at the location waiting their arrival (in the meantime I was paying an extra hour of rental expense for a van I had rented to move my other items). I provided an exact location via text by sharing my location, calling them no less than 6 times and sending 11 texts (including a picture of the address where I was) and received ZERO response. No call back. No text. Nothing. I ended having to leave at 11 a.m. without my piano and was now faced with storage charges, extra car rental charges and a huge waste of my time as now I would need to take another half a day off to meet with another mover to complete the move. If you want a non-communicative operation that flies by night and may or may not show depending on how they feel and does not bother to have their drivers, or anyone else for that matter, call you to figure things out when they cannot locate an address, then these are your guys. They'll add stress when you're dealing with the passing of a family member and having to move their estate since you don't have enough on your mind already. A move with an exact possession date would likely have the same outcome. If you want a positive moving experience, I suggest you read my review of a competitor's service and use them. I would literally give these guys zero stars if I could.

Movers gave us a window of 12-4, showed up an hour late and then bluntly refused to move our piano. The move out of our place is a complicated one, granted, but they were the ones to move it in there the first time, so I figured they would be able to move it out. Apparently not. The mover was super salty about his pay per job and his boss, and I guess decided on the spot that our move wasn’t worth his time. We were told that they would be in touch to reschedule the move. They have still not been in touch. Go with literally anyone else.

We booked Calgary Piano Movers to move an upright baby grand piano and experienced the worst customer service I’ve ever seen. Please do not use them! It was a huge waste of time. First, we tried to call to confirm the move the morning of. Whoever we spoke to on the phone said they’d be there between 1-3 p.m. and they’d call an hour before. At 2:45 p.m. we called to see if they were still coming. I got a text back saying that we were booked between 1-5 p.m. (and sent a screenshot of our email chain, which confirmed that). I responded to the text saying okay, but whoever we spoke with this morning said between 1-3 p.m. At 5:15 p.m., we called to see if they were still coming and left a message. We got a text back saying that the movers were 15 minutes away. The movers showed up at 5:45 in an unmarked Mercedes Sprinter van with two movers. We had concerns that the piano would be very difficult to get into that van, so we went out to the driveway to meet them and ask. My mom asked if they usually move pianos in this van and the driver immediately got extremely defensive, repeating that this is an $80,000 van and immediately said that if we don’t want them to do this job then they’ll just leave and started getting back in the van. As they left, the conversation got very heated and they were yelling and swearing as they drove away. We tried to call the owner after to complain and the number had been disconnected.

I had a safe to move and I chose Calgary Piano Movers (seem to be also recommended choice) and boy I made the right choice! I will very highly recommend them and here is why. They did a fantastic job, my move was not easy and straight (see pics). This safe weighed 625 Lb and was to be moved to1st Floor. Needless to say tricky and tough job but Alex and brad were very experienced, had good idea how to do this move, very careful with pads and care for move area and they were two people but men of steel. Above all they were nice and friendly and courteous. Once again thanks for job well done!

Terrible and emotional experience we hired these guys to move my great grandmothers antique piano and they dropped it. Upon that it was taking to a company they recommended to repair the damages, we showed up to pick up our piano as we could not get ahold of anyone to find a sign on the door that the company had gone out of business. This company failed to notify us that where they took our piano were having financial troubles and going through bankruptcy would cost us our beloved antique family piano. They have failed to return our calls, have been screening our calls, and refuse to do anything for us. This company was unqualified to be moving pianos, damaged our piano, and took our piano somewhere that cannot be tracked down. They are crooks and robbed us not only of our beloved piano but also a family heritage! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY AVOID AT ALL COST!

WILL NOT RECOMMEND - I called an requested a piano move yesterday. they told me that could absolutely help, and would be able to do it same day. He had suggested 2pm. I said I didn't finish work until 4pm. He then said he could be there to pick it up at 3pm from the seller and have it to me by 4pm. He texted at about 2:30pm saying they were going to be late and wouldn't get there until 4pm. As I was working, I asked that he please contact the seller to let them know. This was not done. The seller contacted me at about 10 to 4 asking if they were coming. I told her they said they would be there around 4pm. I tried to call multiple times and got no answer, nor was I able to leave a voicemail. I waited a few minutes and tried again and got sent straight to voicemail 3 times. The seller couldn't wait anymore and had to leave. Then I got a text message form the company stating "Sorry we had to pick up a grand piano. Can we reschedule for Tuesday or Wednesday next week?" to which my response was no. Now I have to wait another week to have my piano moved because this was the only time the seller was available. Poor communication and no attempt to even try to rectify the situation. Myself and my daughter were very disappointed not to be able to play our new piano last night. I'd give zero stars if the option were there.

This is the best piano moving company in the city. I got quotes from them and another company, the other company sent me an email two days later whereas calgary piano movers phoned me back within 10 mins and discussed my needs. In regards to move day, my experience was stellar, Fernando and Rob were right on time and made quick work of the move. I had a confirmed appointment to have three heavy pieces moved. I was given a window between 9am and 1pm, then at 12:30pm I was told it would be 3pm to 4pm. Then at 4pm they arrived at the pick up point, they did not know what they needed to move even though I provided pictures and specifications for each item. I drove over to the pick up point to meet the team and show the move instructions and they were already gone. They had disappeared without any warning. None of my calls or texts were answered to find out where they went. This was very unprofessional.

Pretty disappointed yesterday. When I spoke on the phone with them on Friday they seemed upbeat and awesome. Today I was to have my piano delivered between 9a.m-1p.m I was told I would be given a call 1 hour in advance of time they would be there. At noon I inquired when they would be there and was informed they were 16 minutes away. They showed up at almost 2 p.m at the pickup time. The drop-off location was an 18 minute drive and they ended up showing up to drop the piano off at 3:45 p.m The two workers who came were utterly rude and didn't even greet themselves. Scoffed at where they had to deliver ( on the main floor) It was very unprofessional of their lack of costumer service skills in person as well as their severe lack of punctuality. I had to work at 1:30 p.m so I missed 2 ½ hours of work. And an overall close to 4 hours from when they said they would be there. If you don't mind your time wasted then you will be fine with this company.

Fernando saved the day! We hired a kijiji "piano mover" who goes by "flat rate piano and gun safe movers" to move our newly purchased piano to our home for our daughter to enjoy. I was a little nervous when only two men showed up with a moving strap but I quickly realized these people know exactly what they’re doing. That aquarium is my most prized possession. THIS COMPANY DESERVES ZERO STARS. I called on a Monday for a Friday delivery, but then could not get them to confirm the delivery. No email reply or pick up on the phone and the voice message was full. Finally I reached someone the day before and confirmed the time on Friday. I took 2 hours off work to meet the delivery at our house and they did not show up, nor respond to my text messages or phone call. It would have been nice if they would have let me know they weren't able to make it.

I recently purchased a baby grand piano and needed it moved from the store to my third floor family room. Prior to the move, I submitted pictures and some measurements to Calgary Piano Movers. The day of the move was very easy and efficient. My piano was lifted using a crane to the third floor, ad Fernando and his team was very diligent in ensuring the piano was strapped and set up properly before the crane lifted. Afterwards they assembled the piano and was patient with me as I adjusted where the piano was placed. They were friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. I booked the day before, they said they would show up at 9, then sent me a booking time for 8-11 am by text, I waited for three hours wasting my Sunday morning and finally gave up at 11. We set up an appointment with Calgary Piano Movers with a pick-up window between 10am-2pm. The pick-up location called us at 2:15 wondering where they were. (BTW - the folks at the pick-up location are a professional couple who kindly took the day off work to accommodate the move). I am super embarrassed to say the least - I had no idea what to tell them! After a dozen calls to CPM (goes straight to voice-mail), half a dozen texts and emails right up until 8:00 pm that day, there have been no replies, no explanations.. absolutely nothing.. just a big black hole. I truly wanted to give them (CPM) the benefit of the doubt in case something terrible happened, but now - 2 days later - there are no apologies or even a courtesy call to let us know what happened. Needless to say, we are not at all happy. Consequently we had to scramble to find another mover so we lost much precious time in the process. After reviewing their reviews a second time, it reads to me like they’re all fake reviews and written by the same person. Please, do have a read, you might agree with me. Ultimately you can choose whatever company feels right to you and one that resonates with you, but if you want our 2 cents worth.. avoid this company like the plague. Yes, sure they're "cheaper" than the competition (BTW - their “Kijiji” price is $140 for a Studio piano but their “website” price is $199.99?) but ultimately you get what you pay for. I fell for the reviews, but now that I've experienced this first hand I feel like a total idiot. To sum it up, I'm super disappointed and feel that customer service in the piano moving world has come to an all time low. This company wasted the precious time of 2 parties no less! Whatever lame excuse they come up with to address our negative (honest) review, don't believe a word of it because if they were truly sincere, they would have contacted us in the first place and given us an explanation. And for the record.. NO, they didn't reach out, NO they didn't call, NO they didn't show up at the address and no one was home. All our ducks were in a row but their’s certainly weren’t! If you love to see your piano move go as well as the piano you love.. than please don’t use “Calgary Piano Movers”. Support a local piano mover who stands behind their reputation instead. ____________________ In response to their reply: Calgary Piano Movers’ reply to our initial review is fabricated and all lies. We never spoke with them after the initial set-up call nor had any contact with them after that initial call (and certainly not for lack of trying). So how exactly could they “explain” anything to us or accuse us of being “rude” to them or how could they be “late” if they never even showed up or called? Honestly, don't trust this company. They are not only incredibly unprofessional but are dishonest and liars as well. I operate my own business and I am absolutely incredulous how anyone could give such poor customer service and still be in business. The company who kindly bailed us out of our predicament said they received 3 other calls - exactly like ours - after they were stood up by Calgary Piano Movers. They explained to us that CPM overbooks appointments and than cherry-picks the “best paying” moves for the following day and.. just abandons the rest if they have too many moves booked. In any case, after they posted their dishonest reply, we can't stress enough to anyone considering a piano move, to avoid this company and look elsewhere. In particular we would advise you to look for companies that are listed with the BBB or companies that regularly move pianos for local piano dealers. And since CPM so kindly appreciates our comments and our personal opinions, I’m sure they will be over the moon us calling them out and exposing them for what they really are… unprofessional and dishonest. Just had Calgary Piano Movers move my parents’ piano to my basement. Ten steps down and these guys managed it without a problem. They even touched up older scratches on the piano as a bonus. Great guys. Thanks.
