We moved into our new offices over the weekend and these guys had to haul all our office and boardroom furniture from our storage unit and up to the third floor of our new space without the benefit of an elevator. I don't know how they managed it, but their 4 man crew did the move not only in the time they quoted, but a half hour under! Nothing was damaged and they were punctual and professional. I will be keeping their contact info. I highly recommend their services.

We moved Calgary to Vancouver. Victor of Real Estate Movers was a pleasure to work with. He responds promptly, he is a very reasonable, no nonsens guy. His price was better than other companies'. The guys showed up on time, they were efficient, considerate and finished quickly. I would definitely use them again. Only one plastic ending from a shelf was damaged, we packed most things ourselves and you need to be careful how you pack things. I left screws screwed into an IKEA shelf and one of them must have caught of something, cracking the plastic. No biggie, I should have taken those screws out. Last time we used WIlliams Moving which was a nuisance to deal with and since then went out of business, for a good reason. Compared to them Real Estate Movers were pleasant, the cost was as agreed on, nothing was lost, they did everything as promised. Good company , thanks Victor.

I haven't used this service yet, but unfortunately I have known them because I got blocked by them when I was trying to get into my garage after doing groceries. Furthermore, I have a sick five-month-baby and they didn't move the truck when I asked, so I had to walk around two blocks to get home. That's absurd!

Very professional, polite and understanding! Where I moved to had only one working elevator for 19 floors and on a Saturday... We couldn't block the only working elevator so they had to work around the issue and they did, VERY professionally. No damage to anything! I rarely give a full rating for anything. But in this case I will. I called and spoke with Victor, he was professional and to the point about it being a 3 hr minimum charge. Very reasonable, the price and the expectation. This call was a day before to check availability as I was suppose to have help and this was to be my back up plan just in case, not many would do this. Plan B always! Thank goodness I did as I was left in a bind. So I called Victor the day of and asked if they were still available....not only was he prepared for the last minute call but made arrangements quickly, gave contact information and covered all bases without question or making me feel like an idiot for a last minute call. Anton and Nick showed up in an hour and called ahead to make sure I wasn't freaking out - I was but that's just the OCD. They were friendly, quick, organized and professional. Not only was my move within the three hours quoted (I had a bachelor suite and I'm an OCD packer and organizer) but every box and extras arrived to the new place ahead of me and in one piece. Not a thing was broken or damaged. Not even my own moves survives without at least one break. (I said OCD not clumsy) Thank you Victor, Anton and Nick! You made the day sooooo much easier and relieved much stress honestly and professionally. HE HAS NEVER EVER SHOWED ME PROOF THAT HE ACTUALLY WENT TO A LEATHER REPAIR SHOP. HE JUST PUT THE NOTE ON THE CHAIR. HE HAS NO PROOF OTHERWISE HE WOULD POST IT. DO NOT TRUST THIS PERSON. WARNING, I do not recommend to have them move your belongings. Victor is not trustworthy person. We have moved 13 times in 17 years and have used many different movers, some inter province, some between provinces and some internationally. Distance wise this was our shortest move ever, only 2-3 km. However it turned in the most horrible experience ever. Victor came to our house, went through it and gave us a quote based on what he had seen. The quote was 2.5-3 hours to load and 2.5-3 hours to unload on hour driving. Given our experience over the years we felt good about the time he had quoted especially since it where only the bigger pieces that needed to be moved. As an experienced mover as he portrays himself you should expect this quote to be accurate. You would be very wrong. The day of the moving turned into a nightmare, not only for us, but also for his crew. They also were told a 6-7 hour job. They started at 9:30 and loading was done by 5pm. Then we had to unload which tool is way passed 9:30pm. I even had to install the beds myself otherwise we had no were to sleep. Then Victor had the nerve to charge me 12.5 hours, double the original quote. Please see a review below from Tracy who had the same experience. He damaged my furniture , put it up side down, in the wrong rooms and wanted to be paid for that. Victor the uses intimidation as a tactic to get paid. So do no give into this. Stand your ground as this is the way he does business. A quote has to be within reason, double the quote after having been at the house to look before quoting is not within reason. He damaged my furniture among other my leather chair. Because they used a dirty rug they made grease stains in the leather. I have attached the pictures of this. Look at the pattern of the stains and the pattern in the carpet. Although I had given him the opportunity to clean this chair he failed to do so. The stains are still in there. He then uses again intimidation as a tactic. See the note he attached to the chair that he left outside my home. I would love to get in contact with the “company” he claimed to have “inspected and taken out the stain” so I can discuss this with them. Unfortunately this is not over. But please please don’t use this company you will regret it dearly

To start off Victor was very prompt and professional in setting up the move. It took very little effort to coordinate the move. The movers (Anton and Leo) were fantastic. They were ahead of schedule and enquired if they could start helping. They wasted no time in getting set up and got going right away. They handled our belongings with cafe, consulted us when they needed direction but took a lot of initiative. They were friendly and thoroughly professional. Their flexibility and adaptability is very much appreciated by my wife and I. We had a great experience and unreservedly recommend these guys to anyone out there.

Recently used this company for my move from my rental to my new house. Real Estate Movers were the two men that came to move us. We moved all our boxes and smaller items, we just needed help moving our larger furniture. They definitely took care of this. We ended up taking 2 trips instead of 1 trip because they had said it would take longer to rearrange the truck to fit everything in it than to take 2 quick trips. We were fine with doing this, but I'm not sure if it really did take less time or not. They were done in 4 hours so it worked out great. Thanks guys!

Glad to share my experience with real estate movers, " They do care about us and our stuff, Victor being the head of the crew." I am really glad that, none of my stuff were damaged and misplaced. It reached Vancouver the next day as they had promised. I didn't have any worries about the packing, as they offer that too, at a genuine rate. Others in the company are very polite and patient in dealing with customers. I would recommend them for anybody who is moving from Calgary. They are reasonable and very efficient.

I hired Real Estate Movers (REM) to move us from our rental to our newly purchased home. I did quite a bit of due diligence at the outset and sent a request for quote to six local moving companies, complete with a list that was a more or less complete inventory of the goods to be moved. Of these six requests, four companies responded with general quotes outlining hourly rate and projected hours required based upon the description provided. Of these four, only Victor with REM offered to visit our rental and visually review the contents to be moved and to assess the site and discuss any obstacles which might impact the estimate. It was this touch that demonstrated to me that Victor and his team were the crew for us. Our two movers, Shay and Marco, arrived exactly on time at 8am. They were personable, friendly, and extremely efficient. They had our rental loaded in great time, with due care and attention given to ensuring that all our items were securely and safely wrapped and protected. As well, they did an A+ job moving all our stuff up the narrow basement stairs without once scraping the walls. The unloading process was done in great time, they placed all the items where I asked, whether basement, second story or main floor. They were also gracious enough to work around the lawn maintenance crew that of course started the year's mowing on move-in day! At the end of the day, the move was completed within 30 minutes of the originally estimated time, all our stuff arrived free of damage, and no damage was sustained at either of our two locations. The price was right with this company (on the lower end of the quotes I received). I cannot recommend Real Estate Movers highly enough and would not hesitate to use them again.

Beware to have deep pockets! Beware if you go by Victor's word - it means nothing! I initially spoke to Victor and received an estimate of 4.5 - 6.5 hrs to move based on - 60 boxes, one couch, office, bedroom, a few cabinets. Basically a 1/2 house. On moving day Victor was 3.5 hours late - he didn't realize the night before was frigid temperatures and did not prepare his truck for it. It wouldn't start. His recommendation: Move me the next day. That was not an option! Once he showed up with 2 men and a 26ft truck he visually inspected and advised I would take up to 60% space in the truck and there was no mention of longer time needed due to the amount of stuff, He also forgot the move was from Calgary to Airdrie. 14 hours later!!! the move was almost completed. He was not able to move all my stuff in the truck and he couldn't move my motorcycle which was one of the main reasons I chose his company. Good thing, as he needed to come back the next day and move the rest and he said he was moving this for "free". I reminded him, I paid $1600 for the move and he needed to complete it. Victor took NO responsibility for quoting 6.5 hrs and taking 14 hours. All he could say,,,, his men worked hard (which they did, but after 8-9 hrs they slowed down tremendously as they were tired!) and I "have a lot of stuff". Yes Victor, you knew how much stuff I had and still you took 14 hrs. Other estimates quoted 3 men and 8 hrs. This would have been MUCH cheaper! Victor also mentioned that if he used 3 men @ $149 hr for 7hrs would be more than the 2 men @ 109 hr. I think NOT - 3 men would have not taken as long so I would have been better off with 3 men. BEWARE and get everything in writing with a MAXIMUM charge quote, otherwise you will be at Victor's mercy. Note: his actual company name is Trans Alberta Cargo
