So many things not professional. They charged me for 23.5 hours for travel and moving from the Port Alberni to Vancouver. This should have been at least 5 hours less. The 10 hours, pack and move, was reasonable, but driving from Nanaimo to the ferry, the ferry both ways and a 2 hour unloading should have been 8 hours total...they charged me 13.5 hours!!! The movers said they "got lost", even if I phoned in twice before the move to make sure they had my cell number. I sent an email with my complaints...they said time was reasonable. They also charged me for a two room move package...they had ONE wardrobe box!!! Also, we had to run out for more boxes. They didn't label any of the overloaded boxes and just dumped thing in. They none of the mattresses or memory foam was wrapped ...they were FILTHY. There was so much more, but I definitely would not recommend them...I would have changed this rating a little higher if their management actually did something about this legitimate complaint...but nothing, except to talk to them about labeling the boxes...pathetic.

The service was so good! My move required a ferry (to Nanaimo) and my mover was so on top of it. He let me know what ferries they were going to be on, stayed in contact for the whole move, and was super accommodating about some delays on my end. The price ended up being as quoted, all my stuff is in one piece (despite my mediocre packing), and the guys were SO nice as a bonus. Would hire again!

I moved long distance and shopped for a reasonable rate. Two Burley Men provided a more than fair and reasonable rate PLUS they were extremely professional and very prompt with both their pick up and delivery. The men were very personable and not one item was damaged in my move which is fantastic considering I had a number of glass items and moved long distance. I would not hesitate to call upon them again!

2 Burley Men Moving... Not much to say. They gave a quote and once they had my stuff they doubled the price and are holding it ransom. They also refused to deliver it on the agreed upon date and have been giving me the runaround about when I can have my stuff. It's been over two weeks but they still don't know when they can deliver my stuff and I have nothing and have had to go and buy items so I could eat and have cloths to go to work. Sleeping on the hard floor is not great as well. They don't respect people at all and have hung up on me several times when I've tried to resolve this issue. Just disgusting!!!!

This is the second time we have used 2 Burley Men…one for a move a select pieces of furniture from Nanoose Bay to Calgary (Nov/20) and today for an internal move of select pieces of furniture. 2 Burley Men helped me with a small office move. They were punctual, quick, and personable. The price was very reasonable, especially considering they didn't stretch it out unnecessarily. I won't hesitate to use them again or recommend them to others.

Use literally any other service. Several items were ruined. We were living in a nice two bedroom apartment so they took 7+ hours to move things into their truck. Then when they realized we were moving into a slum they took only 3 hours. The move was $1500+. Not worth it.

Driver was 2 hours late for arrival. The details of the move given during the booking were not communicated. I was told 5-6 hours total for 900 sq foot apartment. It took 5 hours to get out and 4 to unload. The movers were slow one had mentioned he was tired from the previous move the night prior. The second guy was barely helping and had to listen to them arguing. I the ended up helping with my bad knee. We were given a discount for the move but it should have never happened. Called Cheryl about a mattress that had the springs let go during the move. Its been days and Im still waiting for a response. Will likely be told its not covered. Bad experience. Not worth the hassle. Giving 2 stars because they did give a discount for time.

Beware! The 'liability coverage' is completely unacceptable. They said they would pay $105 towards over $700 in damages to our stuff. We arranged for 3 men, and 2 arrived. They were very unprofessional - yelling profanities throughout the move. They said several times that they were short-staffed - this was reinforced when we found out that the people moving into our old place had also hired them and the same employees were supposed to be at their place at 11 a.m. and didn't arrive until 5 p.m.! Not sure why they would have booked another move 2 hours after the start of ours, but it explains why they were rushing and being careless with our stuff. They were literally throwing boxes - even after I reminded them that several boxes were clearly labelled 'fragile', one of the employees responded, 'oh, we treat everything as though it is fragile' - definitely not the case! It was a wet day, and they had no floor runners. They had no moving blankets! They said 'they are wet' - completely unprepared without the necessary equipment for the job - explains why so much of items are damaged. When we commented on the damage to the foreman, he just looked at us blankly and shrugged his shoulders - we couldn't believe the attitude. Our TEAK cabinet received gouges and scratches all over - this cabinet had not a mark on it previously. Our large filing cabinet was severely gouged and scratched. Another wooden cabinet received gouges and scratches all over - this cabinet had always been covered and had been PRISTINE. A glass platter was shattered. I think the hollow apology and complete disregard for customers' belongings is almost worse than the damage caused by the carelessness and unprofessionalism.

paid over 1100$+ to move about 10 boxes and a bed, my stuff arrived about 9 days later after the estimated date and a lot of things were broken, irreplaceable crafts made by my late father, wigs I use for costuming worth over 300$ totally destroyed, ripped a hole in my box spring, took lightbulbs out of my lamps and didn't give them back, and missing a bag.... I sent an email asking where my bag was and was told to check my things because the driver said its not on the truck before calling and asking where my stuff is (which I did? why wouldn't I?) got a call from the driver not even 20 minutes later saying they have my bag but cant drive it to my house so I have to meet them before they leave? Get a different company to move your stuff; I used them once before and it was great but this time was horrible... Totally unprofessional, way to expensive. Save your money

Very happy with my move from Nanaimo to Edmonton. It’s always a stress hoping nothing gets damaged even though there is a good chance something will likely accidentally break. I was particularly concerned about my mint condition Harley. The guys took every precaution and I felt at ease knowing it was super secure and protected.

If you own anything nice, do not waste your time. Do not let this company touch your belongings. They have no accountability, no insurance and no respect. They ruined several expensive pieces of furniture including my special edition slate pool table which is not replaceable. The employee bragged about being able to lift it by himself when myself and his coworker asked him not too, and he dropped it on his foot. I wish I had video footage of them loading up the dolly and basically drop kicking it off the back of their truck, 4 feet down. I would never recommend this company and will continue to share my story.

My move was poorly estimated right away by the office staff - who told me that I would only need two men for 3 hours and they booked me for 3 hours from 12 noon to 3 pm on Friday Jan 24 - I explained that we had a lot of stuff in our 1200 square foot condo but the staff said that would be fine ? When the two men finally got there at 1:30. Pm - an hour and a half late - they spent the next 45 minutes complaining that there was too much stuff and they were refusing to work unless they got more help - Kevin their supervisor showed up about 2:30 with 2 more men and then they got to work - I had hired two more men in the meantime because I didn’t know if the crew I hired at 100 per hour would work - they worked for 3 hours - charged me $160 dollars per hour for 4.hours and left to go to another job before my move was loaded on the truck ?- lucky for me the two movers I hired from a different group stayed and finished the job - what a nightmare this was as we had to be out of there and the Men with Big Hesrts was a complete fail for - The men did work hard for 3 hours and we did get our stuff loaded but I would NOT Nrecommend this company to anyone

Prompt arrival to location A. Quick load. At location B, the fellows had a tougher job (narrow stairwell with a bend). They looked at options and decided jumping the appliances out the back and all the way around the house would be safer on my paint and drywall. I really appreciated this concern for my home despite the additional time and effort it took. I will use them again. Recommended

All the work was done by two obliging young men, Dustin and Will. It was smooth and basically worry free. The packing of the truck was done very neatly and safely. The crew showed up right on time and had everything itemized In about 15 minutes. Everything from our 2200 sq/ft home was wrapped, padded and and safely loaded in a couple hours and were on their way to our new home. The rate in which they unloaded and respectively and carefully unloaded every item we own into rooms they were directed to from my super appreciative wife went at the speed of 6-8 able bodied people I know of, but was done by 3 amazing humans with tons of patients, Care and understanding. I’d recommend these guys any day. Having 2 Burley Men take on the burden and stress of the move was far the best decision of our moving experience!!!

This was my second experience with 2 Burley Men. I called to get some packing done and it was an extremely stressful time for me. Two men showed up and we quickly realized it was the same two men who helped me with my move two years ago! I was so glad to see them - it felt like old friends. Tum Tum and Charlie are the sweetest, kindest guys I think I've ever known. They had a heck of a job packing a horde that someone had created in my basement, and they were kind and professional the whole time. I felt supported and cared for. WORST ever....and we move often. Do yourself a favor and pick another moving company!! It took 13 hours to move a small house with hardly any furniture and mostly boxes......and we moved only two kilometers away! ... and we paid by the hour. Dirty truck and blankets.....soiled our mattresses and upholstery. Broke our solid wood head board to our bed and would not cover the cost of repair. We ended up helping unload the truck to speed things up! Poor customer service from head office who would not even discuss our damage claims.

Ok if you need cheap service quickly and don't care about cost...my experience they arrived days early, delivered my stuff later then expected, then tried to over charge on my weight thankfully I know people and called them out and got more accurate weight to which was promptly returned the over charge. BTW good luck getting management to return your calls.

They could be a bit faster, and they were late geting there, so didn't get started till around 9:30am. Was not impressed when Lamont told me to leave them at my locker at Budget, because it would go faster. When it says in my email that someone preferably the renter to be there at all times. I was shocked when I received the total, thats for sure. All in all Taylor and Lamont were very polite and personable. However, my highboy dresser top is damaged and chipped beyond repair. It was unloaded upside down with the dolly, and must have been banged and dragged, because their's paint from it in the elevator.

That was about a month ago with no word back. Would not recommend letting them move your stuff if thats how theyre going to drive. They couldve killed me.

Booked at the beginning of the month for the 26th. 30mins past when they were supposed to be here and still weren’t, I called and there was no record of me AT ALL in their system. My movers were never booked apparently. I’ve heard so many bad reviews for this company but I decided to give it a shot because I used them once before. NEVER will I use them again though.

This company broke and damaged alot of my stuff. I'm missing 2 longboards around $700 that I've talked to and sent a email to Cheryl in the service department, who is extremely unsympathetic that my belongings are missing broken and damaged. She has been nasty to me on the phone each time I try to talk to her. These 3 young men with dirty black hands mark up my freshly painted apartment and all over my white furniture. Dismantled items and didn't give the pins or screws. We paid around 2500 to get our belongings treated poorly and stolen. 2 Burley men, what are you going to do ?

This was the most unprofessional moving company I have ever used, they were 2 hours late showing up to my house and in the 2 hours they had worked, before I fired the couple skinny teenagers that the company sent, they had managed to move 6 boxes, 2 TVs, a bed, and a dresser. The workers simply would not listen to me when it came to anything, we asked them to move some larger items next door to a new apartment and one worker spent half an hour wrapping a broken tv in a blanket while the other worker moved a single bed slat at a time to the new house. Then when I demanded my 220 dollars back from the company, they deemed it a sufficient amount of work to get done in 2 hours. I was then left to move the rest of my apartment myself despite the fact that I just got out of a major surgery. I wish I could post the pictures of what these scam artists did with my $220
