My wife and I lived in Brampton. We had decided to move to the Petawawa area, and came across Cassidy's. Since they are based out of Pembroke the idea of working with a local moving company was something that was very appealing to us. The pricing was also a lot more competitive than some of the "bigger names". We had our move quoted by Jody through a video conference call because of the distance (and COVID). We walked through the house and she estimated the approximate weight (which by the way - was very close to the actual weighing, impressive!) so we could have an idea of the actual move. The movers showed up on time, as scheduled to our home in Brampton on a Monday to load up. Justin and Brett were the two movers that helped us out. Both of them were extremely professional, friendly, hard working, fast, and very careful with each and every one of our belongings. They took the time to safely and securely pack our goods. They even recommended (and helped) with further disassembly of some other items just to better ensure a safer transport of those items. The off-load was even faster, and again were right on time. As we had taken the time to label where each item would go, they were able to follow the labels and accurately place them in the appropriate room. Not that we plan on moving again anytime soon, but if so we would happily consider Cassidy's again! Thank you Jody, Justin, Brett, and the entire team in helping us successfully move to Petawawa.

Our move was pretty complicated and he took the time to drive down and go over all the details with us in person. Also this gave him the opportunity to make sure we got the right size truck with the right amount of movers. Hired Cassidy's to move my parents from Mississauga to Pembroke. We were so nervous as we never used movers before and heard/read horror stories about moving companies. This was definitely not the case!! The movers showed up on Monday afternoon and loaded up all the boxes and furniture, disassembled what needed disassembling and delivered next morning as scheduled. They even were able to help assemble some previously purchased furniture and were super professional and accommodating. A move like this for 2 seniors who haven't moved in over 30 was overwhelming and stressful enough. The staff from Cassidy's were all very understanding to our needs and really helped make it as easy as possible. Thank you all so much!

From our first meeting with Jody to the closing of the truck door with our boxes and storage items safely loaded, we felt valued and safe with Cassidy's. Every detail was shared in a supportive and reassuring manner. The supply of boxes and packing supplies was the deal sealer. The three gentlemen who came to load and take our items to storage were courteous and professional. Here was some uncertainty about the hours to be billed. We haven't seen the invoice yet so we can't be sure that all was in order from that point of view. All in all we would recommend Cassidy's to our friends.

I submitted an online request for moving my mother furniture from Deep River Ont. to Ottawa Ont. Within 20 minutes I received a contact phone call for additional information. After discussing the move requirement over the phone I received a written estimate and delivery to my mother in 3 days from contact. The moving crew showed up on time and had my mothers move completed in 5 hours start to finish. Most excellent experience. The icing on the cake was after the load was weighed during transfer my final bill was $100 lower than the estimate.

I had an AWFUL experience with Cassidy's Moving services and I hope no one has to ever go through the headache of having to deal with this company like how I did. The movers were in fact nice and did a good job moving our items (no complaints with the individual movers). However our items arrived 12 days later from when they were picked up. We moved from NB to Ontario which is only a 10 hour drive. Our move was suppose to be simple and quick given that we only had about 6 boxes, 1 bed and 1 dresser in total (the movers even joked about how quickly they would get home to Ontario from NB that same night after packing our items). The movers took down our new address and told us it would arrive the next business day, which it did not. I had to call multiple numbers to finally get the answer that our items were going to sit on the trailer in Pembroke for the next 12 days. One representative assured me they were within their contract to deliver our items this late being that it was a busy week for them. When I asked why they don't hire more workers or rent more trucks in order to simply meet their demand I was told they wont do that. When speaking to a different representative we were told that our items were scheduled on the last possible delivery day simply because it lined up with a different delivery, which allowed Cassidy's Moving to make more money/profit (the rep literally said this!). Moreover, when I explained the situation to various reps, they were unsympathetic and very unwilling to correct their mistake or find a way for us to obtain our items in a timely manner. Moving with basically no furniture and just boxes should not take 12 days... You are 100% better off using any other local company or renting a truck yourself for the day. Absolutely not worth the headache, the time and the frustration with their policies designed to profit this company's pockets with no regard for their customers. I will never be using this company again and I will assure to never recommend Cassidy's Moving services to anyone. On the contrary, I hope I can save someone from the distress and greed of this company.

We were moved by Cassidys Transfer & Storage on July 14/17 and the packers (4) were excellent. The owners can be proud of these men for their professional workmanship. The unloading at our new residence was completed without incident and again the two employees were professional. A thumbs up to Ed who was able to secure our move on such short notice. Cassidys are a 5 STAR MOVING COMPANY and can be relied upon to do a complete move without incident.

While I did not pay for Cassidy's Moving and Storage as they were contracted by the military to preform the packing of my home, as well as contracted by United Van Lines to assist in the loading of my furniture, it's a good thing I didn't as I would have absolutely requested a refund and asked them to vacate the premises. As part of the move, a surveyor was sent out to document our furniture. Jody arrived on the specified date, and was very polite and courteous, answering all of our questions and giving us a wealth of information to help make the move very smooth. She confirmed with us the dates for the packing of our household goods as well as the loading of everything, and stated that no pre-pack would be required. Several weeks later, on the Friday before our pack date, My wife and I were woken up to Cassidy's arriving for a pre-pack that we were not informed about. Luckily, we had no plans for the day and were home that morning, so we agreed to allow the packers to get started. The girls who showed up on the Friday were not the most experienced, however they did a relatively good job. Some of the boxes they packed were questionable in regards to why they would over pack some and under pack others, but what stood out was their attitudes were pleasant. What followed on the actual pack date was a completely different story. The pre-pack was preformed by seven people, and they were done in a couple hours as they could not pack a lot of our clothing or cookware as part of the pre-pack. This left a good half of the house still to be packed on Monday, for the three people who showed up. The completely understaffed pack on Monday consisted of two employees that were very quiet but polite, and one employee who was very condescending, borderline rude and mostly incompetent. This resulted in items being missed in rooms that luckily fit into the last few boxes they had left open for us, fragile items being packed into boxes with other non-fragile items (two televisions being packed into a single sliding mirror box with a variety of other items being one example), and one employee trying to explain to me that I would end up having to take some larger items in our vehicle because "I didn't bring boxes to fit that kind of item." If this was not an military move, I would have absolutely stopped the company at this point. The following day, a United Van Lines driver and two Cassidy's Moving and Storage employees arrived to load our furniture and goods into a truck. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the United Van Lines driver, especially since he kept his cool at the lazy, incompetent Cassidy's employees. The two in question moved at a glacial pace all day, had to be asked to do anything by the driver, were frequently standing around or hiding, and broke a lot of our furniture due to improper handling. Speaking to the Cassidy's employees, they stated that for a house of our size, a normal crew to help the driver load would have been at least four on top of the driver, if not six to have it done in a reasonable time, which it was not. While one of the Cassidy's employees had a good attitude and was very respectful, it was not enough to redeem them both from forcing that poor driver to load essentially 98% of my house himself. The driver was also unable to load all of our furniture and goods on his truck, as his estimate of our items and the reality of how many boxes ended up being half full resulted in an overflow truck having to be dispatched in the morning, due completely to the packers the previous day. The Cassidy's employees who arrived with the overflow truck were nice enough people, but they were called away within a few minutes of arriving, stating that they were tasked with another delivery and that a different truck would be back in the afternoon to complete the pick up of our overflow items, basically serving as a complete waste of time. Overall, the experience of having Cassidy's Moving and Storage involved in my move is enough to know that I would not recommend this company to move anything.
