Trevor and two others movers moved my parents from Kingston to Toronto on February 28 to March 1st. I cannot say enough about how kind, professional, caring and thoughtful Trevor and his team were. They moved my parents apartment contents carefully and thoughtfully. They were so careful with everything that they moved... they wrapped, used blankets, used all manner of hand carts, furniture carts, etc... The price was affordable, very competitive with other quotes received, My parents have used AMJ Campbell for many moves; Toronto to Ottawa, two local moves in Ottawa, Ottawa to Kingston, and, lastly their most recent move from Kingston to Toronto. My parents had the first leg of their move on Feb. 28, AMJ Campbell stored contents over-night in the moving van (as move-in to their apartment was not permitted on a Sunday). The fee for this overnight storage was so reasonable. I really cannot thank the AMJ Kingston office management and Trevor and his team of movers enough!!! I totally recommend AMJ Campbell for any size move. Quality, professional, Affordable and caring!

Honestly I cannot say enough about the professionalism of the team at AMJ Campbell. I am always very stressed on moving days but this time just meeting and watching the 3 man crew in action relaxed me. The guys were very polite, hard working, neat, fun, friendly and took such good care of our things - they went above and beyond making sure everything was put where we wanted it, wrapped and unwrapped - and they were FAST, too. The initial costs were over-estimated but that's likely because we had things in a storage unit which the estimator had to kind of guess at. So, the great news was the whole thing ended up costing less than we budgeted for. 5 stars - would absolutely recommend this company & will use again ourselves if we ever move again.

As you have probably been told they arranged and loaded our furniture into a 40 x 8 shipping container while leaving a small front area for storage containers and our needed supplies> This was done most incredibly and was an absolute "form of art" to watch in progress. Our home in Wellington was left scratch free and not one damage. Tom even took the time to put on all stair light globes that they had removed. If you recall the stairwell is narrow and the stair lift did not make it easy for this moving team to bring up the sofa sleeper and yet they did it with amazing professionalism and knowledge. WE really really appreciate this. This is our 3rd move with AMJ Campbell movers and again your service was beyond reproach. Our expectations were more than satisfied. Communicate with hem twice with 2 different media’s so I can get my boxes picked up. The 2 times I have been transferred to someone who didn’t make any follow up. Had a recent local door to door move with AMJ. Although I regularly recommend AMJ and have used them for long distance moves myself this is the first time I've used their local service. My rep, David Ringrose, was very helpful when planning my move and was very accurate in estimating the time that would be required. Really nice guy too! I recently used AMJ Campbell Kingston for my move. I have to say that I would give your Company 10 stars if I could. Every one that I dealt with was very professional. The guys worked very hard and were very courteous. Everything was wrapped extensively and we had absolutely no damage to furniture or the premises on both ends of the move. There is a ton of stress when you move but AMJ removed all that stress with a competent and professional group of movers. We moved in the pouring rain but they were able to keep everything completely dry. They took extremely good care of our carpet and hardwood floors on both ends by using a ton of rubber runners to protect our floors. The movers didn't take a break as they wanted to get finished on time. The quote was accurate and reasonable. This is the second time using AMJ and we will definitely use them again if the need arises. My hat is off to all of you at AMJ Campbell Kingston for a job very well done. Thank you.

AMJ Campbell Kingston should be ashamed of themselves. They came to my parents home around 3 weeks to a month ago to give my mom an estimate; knowing my dad is currently deployed to Iraq, my mom, who is disabled herself, is home alone with 3 kids, 2 dogs, her disabled mother and is having to do this move alone. They didn't get back to my mom until yesterday, when they informed her, in an email--they didn't even have the decency to do this over the phone--that they would be declining to submit an estimate for her move. They've now left my mom in a complete and total lurch to find a moving company since they didn't return her calls until yesterday. To do this to a family over the holidays is bad enough, but to do it to a military family when my dad is deployed to Iraq, and you all knew full well about it, is shameful. AMJ Campbell has put my parents through the ringer once before with a move, and they have most certainly NOT redeemed themselves.

So BAD I can't score.but I have to give it 1 star to let me post.. From the quote to actual - less to move from quote and cost more to move less. Go figure. From embellished hours on the invoice, for being billed for items not moved, from a driver/mover who was admitting of being out late with the boys and only having 2 hours sleep, which is maybe why he peeled off 5 feet of eaves-trough hitting the house backing up. For breaking a door, not securing a hand rail after removing it and an elderly lady almost falling because of it pulling off. For the profanity used repeatedly throughout the move and for not letting us forget how much money he was losing today. Here's an idea...Less talk, more work and bring guys that actually work. Not a guy who claims to be on WSIB for a fall at work? Why was he even there? He did nothing, but create more work! What was supposed to be stress free using movers, turned out to be more stressful using AMJ. BRUTAL experience and NEVER again.

My parents used them for long-term storage while they were out of the country. Of the thirteen times they've used a moving company this is easily the worst experience they have ever had. Several items were improperly packed and wound up being broken (Including an antique lamp that had been in the family for decades). A vacuum cleaner that went into storage brand new came out covered in scuffs and paint and had clearly been used by someone while they were away. Two large boxes of heirloom china are completely missing. The person my mother spoke to regarding the issues assures her that everything goes directly from the truck to the storage bay and it's impossible that it was misplaced somewhere (i.e. left on the truck or stored with someone else's items.) That can only mean that it was deliberately removed from storage by someone at some point during the time they were away, which isn't very reassuring. One of the owners said they would personally come by to go over everything with my mother and then bailed last minute without notice. Since then it's been impossible to speak to anyone at the company and no one has been by apart from someone taking away used boxes. I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy and I would give them 0 stars if it were possible. They don't care about your belongings and they don't care if anything happened to them - After all, any damages are covered by their insurance company and there's no incentive for them to hire reliable personnel or take any care.

No call, no delivery. 4 days later I get a phone call. “Sorry, our systems were crossed” which means we don’t care but this will be our excuse today. The 3 gentlemen who delivered my couch today were so nice. Dealing with Bad Boy furniture has been a nightmare and their policies prevent AMJ from coming in the house. I am appreciative of the compassionate men who delivered today. They followed the procedures that Bay Boy set out for them. It’s not their fault that Bad Boy will only allow curbside drop off in the middle of winter and not notify their consumers. I would definitely recommend this company but not Bad Boy!

This was my second move in 3 years. I checked with the previous movers who did a short haul and storage for an estimate and they came in almost double to AMJ which was recommended by my real estate agent. AMJ local agent came in with his ipad and gave a realistic and accurate estimate because the final billing was very close to his estimate, no surprises. All the help in the move and unloading were amiable and efficient. There were a couple of very minor damages but we received everything and within a week which pleasantly surprised us. I recommend their service and would use them again.

In general, I am very satisfied with this relocation. At the beginning, I thought the quote might be a bit higher than the market average of the two workers, but I decided to give it a try because most of the feedback here was very positive. Communication is perfect. When the moving date arrived, they sent three movers including the driver. This surprised me! The work efficiency of three people is much higher than that of two people. Everything is properly protected. They completed all the work in two and a half hours. I don't have too many things to move, and I tidy up most of the small things very well. Obviously, the only reason I ordered professional services was to help me disassemble and reassemble larger furniture. The driver who is most skillful continued to say he didn't know he needed to REASSEMBLE the furniture that one unhandy man can hardly manage. He left the bed standing in the centre of my bedroom without tightening all the screws. I had to remove the mattress again, move the bed against one wall and tighten all the screws. It took me another hour to do it by myself. That might just take him another five to ten minutes. I ordered a 4-hour package. They could have taken care of my needs more.

I have used AMJ Campbell Kingston for both in town and out of town moves. In both cases they came to our home prior to the move in order to give us an accurate quote. As well, they supplied us with lightly used boxes a few weeks before moving day. On moving day, they accommodated us by stopping at two places to pick up our belongings. They also made extra sure that artwork and breakables were well packaged and wrapped. I felt that the cost was appropriate for the service received. We decided to go with this mover because the reviews appeared favourable overall even though they're price was not as competitive. The crew was on time for the move however were very slow and took frequent brakes almost immediately before the truck was close to loaded. They made it known they were unhappy to not have a third man on the job and consequently were rough with our furniture and upon unpacking our boxes we discovered broken items and dishes that were well packed and marked fragile. We moved into a new build apartment that we were the first tenant to live there but when I pointed out scrapes to the walls and a chip out of the door frame they were insistent it wasn't them even though prior to they're arrival I had to do a walk through with the superintendent. The older of the two men was pleasant but the rude younger man who I was told had already given his resignation and was leaving the company should not have been on the job. I realize movers have a tough job but they are aware of that before being hired. I just received my considerably higher invoice than the estimate, I guess that's what you should expect when you give your credit card number in advance.

I almost had a really good moving experience with AMJ. I've used them before for moving and never had any complaints but this time was different, unfortunately. The problem was that instead of 3 men showing up around 9am, 2 men showed up closer to 11am. The good thing was that those 2 guys were excellent and I even gave them a $100 tip which is really good because it turns out they only get paid just above minimum wage and the lion's share of the hourly rate (about $120 per hour) actually goes to the company. So the move took longer than estimated (only 2 men instead of 3) and it cost way more than it should have. Or could have. But other than that I do usually like AMJ for moving, just not this time. Merry Christmas!

This was the first time I’ve hired professional movers, and was nervous doing so given some of the horror stories I’ve heard in the news. But I couldn’t be happier with the service provided by AMJ Campbell for my move from Toronto to Kingston. My three man crew of Jim, Jeff, and Geordie were phenomenal. They arrived on time, were extremely courteous, were very careful will all of my belongings and couldn’t have worked any harder and faster. They made moving in the middle of a pandemic quick, easy, and stress free. It was a fair price and worth every penny. My belongings are currently in storage here in Kingston and I will absolutely hire AMJ again when it comes time to move my belongings to my next home!
