Just had Able Movers in to move some items into my new condo (including a fragile counter top). They arrived early and loaded up quickly and efficiently. The movers were extremely friendly and hardworking. Going out on a limb, I asked if they could perhaps move my old appliances out, since I had been meaning to arrange it with Habitat or through the appliance store. They made a call to their supervisor who said it would be fine. They didn't charge me anything extra except for the added time to load the items. I was happy to hear they'd be arranging to have them donated too! All in all, Able Movers did a fantastic job and went above-and-beyond for me. I'd happily hire them again and recommend them to anyone needing moving services.

We called for an estimate and we told them the size of the house and it's contents (all they had to move was the big stuff like appliances, furniture as we had already moved the boxes). He told us we would need a certain size of truck. We had asked if he wanted to come to our house and take a look at all the stuff to be moved and they said no. Also, he was going to bring 3 guys for the move. So on moving day, they arrive on time but they brought an additional guy (without our approval which we had to pay for - but there is nothing we can do at that point). So they starting packing up - and finally they realized that the truck wasn't going to big enough. Their resolution to this problem was to pay them more money to make two trips to the new house instead of the planned one trip). We quickly said No and rented a U-Haul for the remaining items. Thankfully we had lots of time for the move, but if everything had to go that day, we would have been forced to pay them more money. I don't consider these guys very trustworthy. I must note that the stuff they did move, they moved well.

I was scrambling at the last minute to have everything done before their time of arrival 9:00am, they showed up 15 minutes early and helped me pack some of the last things. Recently hired Able Moving Services to help with moving offices to a new location. Called last minute to book the crew, but the owner was very flexible and worked with me to settle on a time that worked best for us. The scope of the job ended up being larger than originally anticipated, but the crew that came was very accommodating and worked extremely hard to get ensure that everything was done in a timely and efficient manner. In the end, we are extremely grateful for their help and would definitely recommend them in the future for anyone looking to hire movers.

The owner was not pleasant when I called to request a quote for a friend. He talked to me like I was stupid and should know the answers to the questions I was asking. He said they can't guarantee their rate and even if we use only 10 mins, we are being billed the full hour. I told him a friend of mine had used them years ago and a few items got broken. He said they aren't responsible for already broken items and would assume no liability. The items had no damage prior to his move. Doesn't sound like they are insured. Buyer beware!

Able Moving helped me move during the pandemic. Even without the complications of a pandemic, moving is stressful. However, the guys at Able Moving helped me make my move as easy as possible. I moved from North Bay to London in November 2020 for a new job opportunity. The guys at Able took great care of my belongings, and unloaded my belongings into a storage unit in order to mitigate contact. When I opened my storage unit, everything was immaculate. Nothing was broken, damaged or even scratched - I was so thankful!! I would definitely recommend these guys - especially Wade and Mike - you guys treated my stuff as if it was your own and I am so appreciative.

The worst movers ever . Used them from Sturgeon falls to North bay my 2000 dollar tv was damaged my 1000 dollar wall unit was damaged . I HAD to be rushed by air ambulance to Sudbury with a heart attack so left one of my family members with the movers had to spend 2 weeks in hospital. Got home and found all this damage. Also wanted to be paid before job was completed. There excuse for the tv damage was it wasn't in a box . Who the hell keeps a box for a 70 inch tv plus if there so called pros they should have the equipment to look after tv's wall units etc I don't feel they should come good for damage but they never should have taken my 800 dollars they were paid I feel very violated completely taken advantage of

Had them move my furniture to a storage unit last year . Two of the three guys were hard workers . Problem was when we unloaded container we found quite a bit of damage to our new furniture . Won't be using them again.. Update . We finally placed / looked at all of our furniture and found more damage .We had scratches and nicks on most of our higher end furniture , our new leather couch was stood up on its end completely on the concrete where the small stones scratched and dented leather and ended up with mold all over it . They took no care on how they handled and placed this furniture . Disgusting

I used this company to move from Sarnia to London. Our furniture was stored for a couple of weeks due to the closing and possession dates not matching. Robs' guys were thorough and the quote price was pretty much right on point what we ended up paying. Very good bunch of guys doing the moving. We had an issue with some damage and a lost print. Once Rob, the owner became involved in the matter I received very quick restitution for damage and loss and he was as good as his word .

The driver was really rude. Upon payment of the service, the senior gentleman who supervised the three workers was accusing me of giving him the wrong address. From the initial $296 to all of a sudden $387, the elderly man (who drove) started throwing a temper tantrum within a place of residence and almost attacked my female colleague. Very unstable Oldman. Think twice about using this company. YOU WILL PUT YOURSELF AT RISK!

- move was scheduled for Aug 1st between 11 & 1. - After I called them and found out they were running late they finally showed up at 5:30pm. - owner says it's our fault that we chose to move on a holiday which should be irrelevant to the level of service. If he couldn't do the job they shouldn't have taken it. - arrived dirty and sweaty and didn't even bother to wash their hands. - this was a 2 bdrm apt with no appliances. Guy says it'll probably be a 6 hr job. (Not likely) - They were very unprofessional. Smoked in the back of the truck unloading things.They banged things into walls, chipped furniture, damaged and scratched items and omitted to tell me that they kept one of my tables because they broke the legs on it. When I discovered it missing the following night at 9:30 pm I called the owner and he told me they "forgot" it on the truck and that it was broken so he sent it to his carpenter. - Did he think I would forget I owned it and just say nothing? - They took a 1/2 hr getting to the new place which was literally a 5 min drive away and charged me for 4hrs work when it was a 31/2 hr job minus the time they spent at Tim Hortons getting to the new location. - Two days later I went to see the owner and asked what compensation I was going to receive and he said " what do you want me to do". Does he not have insurance? - The more questions I asked the more agitated he got. - Told me "he knew I was trouble the minute he talked to me on the phone". I then asked him why he took the job then. He said "do you want your table back or not"? - I went to the police station to see what my options were. - still waiting to hear about my table *Update: regarding the response to my review, Fact is there was no second trip because I don't even own any bikes. So your response is a total lie

Sorry for the delay in getting this out, but just want to thank the 3 professional young men that attended our house on 16Jun21. Contents of the residence were removed and delivered to Rebuilt Resources to be donated as we needed to get the house ready for sale. We were very pleased with the professionalism and care that was taken by the crew in removing all the property. This was furniture owned by our parents who sadly died within months of each other. Although some of the furniture may have been dated, each one of the staff took care in the removal of every piece as if they were very valuable items. They were empathetic and very efficient and they saved the stress (and back aches) of our 50 + year old bodies!. Worth every penny!

They gave a quote of 700 for 7 hours they knew my address then the move day came they called me at 730 saying they are on there way and they didn't show up to my place until 850 northbay to sturgeon is only 20 min away. They say they had to stop for gas. They loaded just my large furniture as my wife and I moved everything that could fit into our suv . They had 14 to maybe 20 item to move. Got to my new place 5 min drive away. And said it would be 645 dollars and wouldn't move any furniture into new house until they were paid or they would leave with my furniture. They said it would take 5 hours from load to unload. From the time they got to my place and finished was 2.5 hours and they would not give me any money back. The biggest scam artist in the moving buisness

Used Able moving this week to help with a move about 130 klm's away. I moved almost all of the small stuff myself but like most people I simply can't move most of the big stuff. So I talked to Rob (owner) at Able Moving and arranged a date. I gave him a list of stuff I had. I figured two guys and a large truck would likely do the job. Thankfully Rob's experience steered me towards having 4 guys and 2 trucks (a large and slightly smaller truck) well I must admit he was a lot closer than I was, I guess experience is the key! They filled the first truck and 95% of the second. And they were packed tight. Pricing was reasonable and service was excellent. Now lets talk about the guys that work for Rob. The crew of 4 were awesome. Very easy to work with and talk to. They helped in any way they could. They were careful to wrap anything as needed and careful with the new and old house so as not to damage anything. These are the guys that do the workload and they are the best.,,,!! Would certainly recommend them first.....

I needed my hot tub moved and placed in the back yard. Able Moving came with their team of movers, assessed the situation, and made a plan to move the hot tub safely. They lifted the hot tub onto a dolly and moved it carefully. They also laid down boards and plexiglass so they wouldn't ruin my grass and newly placed sod. Lastly, they helped remove my gate to the backyard and place it back on afterwards so the hot tub could fit through a fence. Overall, I was extremely happy with the service they provided as they did exactly what I needed. Their movers were efficient as well as very professional and polite. I will use them again when needed.

I don't usually post reviews but we used these guys for a household move from Bonfield to North Bay this morning. It was the best experience we ever had with a moving company! The 3 men called to confirm & were right on time. They were professional, friendly, efficient & fast. They got the job done in half of the estimated time for half the estimated price, even with an extra stop & a couple unexpected items at the new place.
