Before hiring this company, my wife and I described our moving items to Brandon, he quoted us 3 hours and we felt great about it so we decided to hire this company. However, as soon as the moving guys came they said that they needed more guys to help, they made us talk with their manager Eric and it was difficult to deal with him trying to explain that we hired them because we were quoted 3 hours having 2 men. We feel like the movers did a good job but however we have no idea why it took them way longer than we were quoted and at the end we had to hire more guys. We feel like it was way over too expensive and dealing with Eric wasn’t pleasant at all. It didn’t really matter to him how we felt about the over charges, it truly felt like he just wanted more money, he wasn’t very comprehensive and wanted to sell more; having Brandon giving us a false quote wasn’t helpful neither cause at the end they didn’t even let me talk to him about the 3 hours he quoted us initially. It feels like we were robbed, from being quoted 3 hours they ended up charging us for 9 ! This company needs more transparency, they tell you nice prices to get you in and they end up charging way over more, be careful !

I have to start off by saying when I called to book the move the lady I talk to you was very friendly knowledgeable and it definitely seem like a professional moving company but when it came down to the Move and the work that was performed it was awful the sales lady told me everything will be wrapped up and protected but that was not the case and you can see that in the picture they wrap some items didn’t wrap others the crew was very friendly but definitely not train and at the end of the move there was quite a bit scratched up/broken items I am definitely upset with how my move went I won’t be using these guys in the future

We used these guys a few years ago and thought they did a good job. 3 years later we used them again and it was terrible. One of the supervisors came out to give us a quote and he gave us a range of hours. It ended up costing us TWICE the top of his range. We had other quotes that were much cheaper than what it ended up being. Why even get a quote? Stay away. They have lost my business for good.

I used Wasatch Moving on two occasions. First, to move my belongings to a storage unit and upon the completion of my home, moving my belongings there. I was very happy with both moves. I met with a company representative who walked through my house and storage unit determining how many boxes I would need. He gave me a written bid and then gave me some suggestions as to how to make the move go smoothly. I packed my own belongings in boxes and wrapped larger items. I later found out the wrapping was unnecessary, Wasatch Moving did a much better job at it than I had. They had 2-3 movers come on the selected day and time and quickly loaded their truck. This occurred both on moving them to storage and months later to my home. The young men were very professional and quick at their job. At the conclusion of each move I was presented with a bill that was significantly lower than the written bid. A little preparation on my part and those helping me pack, saved me hundreds on the final bill. I would definitely use Wasatch moving again and highly recommend this company.

I was desperate because the movers, gentle touch movers, I had previously hired were a no show two days in a row! I called the owner Caden at Wasatch. He told me they were booked, but said he’d see what he could work out. He rented a truck and scrambled a crew to show up the next day to move me to St George. He even came himself to help load!!! I can’t say enough good about this company. The crew was cheerful, polite and fast. They even helped move furniture around in my new home. I highly recommend this company. FEAR NOT!

Used this company two times!! First crew on Saturday was AMAZING even though it was an after hours no notice appt! Second crew on Monday was totally different! Driver accidentally took out my landlords tree and caused severe damage. The response I got from management was "not our problem"! Plus even though we had less guys and they worked 1 hours less then finally charge was almost twice what it was the prior move! They left half the items behind and never once apologize for damaging the property! HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT!!!

I was disappointed in Wasatch movers. I ordered two trucks based on their recommendation. The second truck was two hours late. They also slipped in another mover. Instead of a five person team, I got a six person team. They jacked up the hourly rate from around $250 to $330. I also found a few broken dishes and other small items damaged. I previously used the Other Side Movers. They did the same work in the same time with one truck and a four-person crew for almost half the cost. I would stay away from Wasatch Movers.

I chose Wasatch Moving because I loved everything their salesman Brandon promised. His estimate (after taking him through my house) was fair and he ensured me it was quite accurate—he even went as far to say he likes to estimate high so there are no surprises on moving day. Moving day ended up being extremely stressful. My house needed 2 full-size trucks and 4 men, according to Brandon’s estimate. When they showed up, the man in charge was very negative. Everything seemed to be about what they COULDN’T do...acting like they were doing us a favor. It took them 5 hours to load 2 trucks (even though 85% of our belongings were already in the garage for them) and then said they weren’t going to have enough room. They did nothing to try to rectify the situation. I had to call the main office myself. Upon arriving at our new house, just 20 minutes away, the man in charge asked me if I just wanted them to unload everything into the garage and we could move it in ourselves “to save time”. I told him I wanted everything taken inside to the correct rooms (most everything was clearly labeled ). Meanwhile, my husband had to take our minivan back to the old house and get the rest of our things. When he got there he saw that they hadn’t finished emptying our cold storage. He had to throw away what he couldn’t fit in our van because the new homeowners had shown up by then. 2 of the men were polite and asked me where things should go. The other 2 never/rarely asked and I found many things (even things that were labeled) in the incorrect rooms. In the end, I ended up paying $700-$900 more than the estimate and my husband and I moved many things ourselves. The manager Eric called a couple of times to get more info on what happened after my husband called and complained, but in the end he dropped the ball and offered no compensation for our horrible experience. Only use this company if you’d like to be overcharged and have moving day be more stressful than it needs to be. UPDATE: After 5 weeks, the owner finally called me. There was no apology, just more asking for clarification on what happened (we had done this 3 times already, so just more wasting our time). Based on our conversation, it was evident that the only reason he called in the first place, and eventually offered some monetary compensation, was to get me to change my 1 star review. He did send me a check, but before doing so asked me what I’d be willing to change my review to. It was tacky and very unapologetic. I doubt he ever would’ve called were he (as a business owner) not super concerned about my 1 star review bringing their ratings down. That was definitely his main concern in our conversation—not the fact that our move day was a horrible, stressful experience.

This is updated: we had this company come yesterday. They were late getting to us within the window time they gave us. Communication was a little bad on that part they did call to let us know that they moved the time but still were late after the moved time. We were very grateful for the guys that moved us. It took so long(6hours) which we weren’t expecting cause we didn’t have a couch and everything was boxed up. I probably would still get the 3rd mover even if they recommend 2. I might hire them again but the cost and time compared to doing it yourself as terrible as it is may not be worth it to me. Plus I think they need to give those poor boys more breaks they looked exhausted. We did have damage to stuff I guess it comes with moving but when we expressed all our concern. Jared the GM call us right away and talk to us about our concerns and also said we can file damage complaints. He was pleasant to talk to and did provide great customer service. Make sure you ask all the right questions about length of time to move, estimates, travel, etc. when going to hire any moving company. Thank you Wasatch for moving us yesterday.

The service we received was awesome. When the movers first came they were younger and smaller guys and we were worried they wouldn’t be able to lift our heavier items. They were amazing. I hired this moving company after receiving a quote. They were aware that we had a small gun safe and it was listed in the quote. They had quoted 2 hubs 3 hours and as I said we're aware of the safe. The day before our move They called me and tried to change a quote they gave 2 weeks prior and I had already paid a deposit. They were saying that they quoted 2 guys 5 hours but I have the written estimate showing 2 guys 3 hours. Take it mind we had moved most of the house already with exception of big items. They caused huge problems and I also spoke with another company who said thst this is common practice to up the cost a day prior. Don't use them.

These guys did such a good job. We had a baby grand piano to move. It was already strapped to a skid and dolley. I had packed it really well. But it had to be carried up three stairs. Doesn't sound like a lot but . . . Very heavy. My plan was to get three guys on each end of this thing somehow but two of the guys on the team just deadlifted the thing. Incredible. Above and beyond that they worked quickly, consistently and reliably. They didn't damage any item or scratch any walls. I would definitely use Wasatch Moving again. Thank you!! Oh yeah. Also I can't remember who I spoke with originally to get an estimate but she was great!! Super helpful. Answered the phone first time I called. Explained everything well. No surprises. We used Wasatch Moving Co. Last April. They came and wrapped everything with bubble wrap. Also wrapped furniture with clear plastic. 3 men and 1 truck later we moved about 15 miles away. They took all beddings down and put back together in New location. We boxed up most everything in boxes they provided. We sat back and let them work. When we were finished, I noticed 4 glass tops missing. Within 1 week they found the glass and brought them to us.

We had such a negative experience with this company and their customer service is terrible. We were only having them move the big pieces of furniture and told them beforehand the specific items that needed to be moved and that we wanted to stay as close to the three hour minimum as possible. They sent three guys and one of them was old and could not lift most of the items. He even admitted that he was very weak and had to stop continuously, almost dropping and bumping several items. We spoke with Eric explaining the situation at the beginning of the job but he wouldn’t do anything to remedy or improve the situation. My husband stepped in after the first 20 minutes and actually ended up lifting and moving most of our items into the truck. The inefficiency was unbelievable and the only truly helpful individual on the crew was the one organizing the items in the truck. Once we got to the new house we recruited 6 friends and family members to help unload the truck and without that assistance it would’ve taken even longer. What was supposed to be a three to four hour estimated job took six hours even with my husband doing the brunt of the work and the help of friends and family. My husband tried to talk to Eric at the end and request some sort of discount or allowance especially considering that they sent a temporary guy who by his own admission said he was weak and couldn’t lift heavy things. Regardless of the fact that we informed Eric of this at the beginning of the job he did nothing to provide any sort of discount or accommodation in the end. His customer service was terrible and he did nothing to try to make up for the negative experience. We regret using this company and would never recommend them to anyone. We should have just moved everything ourselves and practically did but had to pay $1000 to do most of it ourselves. They would’ve easily taken 12 hours if my husband hadn’t stepped in and we hadn’t recruited our own help. The least they could’ve done is provided some sort of discount if for no other reason than one of their guys admitted he couldn’t lift heavy things on a job that they knew in advance only had heavy things to lift. It is apparent from your response that you refuse to address the fact that one member of the crew by his own admission was not capable of lifting heavy items yet that is who you sent on a job that only wanted heavy items moved. In addition, the only reason the job was completed in 6 hours was because my husband did the majority of the lifting at our house and we had 6 additional family members and friends come to unload at the new house. In our opinion a professional company would have sent a different person who could lift heavy items especially after you were informed of this at the beginning of the job. Based on this alone we should have been afforded some accommodation or discount. Yet nothing was admitted or provided. This is poor customer service in our opinion and your response demonstrates an inability to acknowledge the facts of the job and the experience.

They didn't start the clock until they reached our storage unit and worked very hard to make sure they didn't roll over into an additional hour they did not need. The movers themselves were kind and respectful of our requests. If we ever move again, they are definitely going to be the first people we call.

The three fellows that came went right to work. They were able to load my belongings quickly and unload them into my storage unit quickly. I had a couple of concerns though. The first was that they tipped dressers and other pieces of furniture upside down to haul them. The gal had told me I could leave things in drawers as long as it was not so heavy. So I'm concerned that some of my belongings will be broken. The second was that they didn't bring a large enough truck for all of my belongings. But I will take some responsibility for that because maybe I didn't communicate clearly enough how much I had to move. The third concern was that as they were unloading they broke the lid of one of my plastic storage bins by stacking too much on top of it. Which brings up the last of my concerns which is that more of my belongings might be ruined when I get them out of storage because they stacked them too deep in the storage unit. I had actually rented a second unit as they were unloading and let them know it, but the lead guy insisted that he would get everything in my one unit. I appreciate that he was wanting to save me money, but I also would like to be reassured that my things are safe and not damaged when I get them out of storage in a few months.

Couldn't be bothered to call me back and actually get someone scheduled for the move. I guess they are doing so well they can turn down business after two attempts to get an unloading crew. Hope others at the very least get a call back... Even if it is to say they can't do it. To add clarity I called once and was told I will recieve a call from a scheduler. A couple days passed, I called again. The employee was able to tell me the number you had somewhere for me. Repeated it to me with extreme clarity. She also said again that she would get it to your schedulers with urgency. To this day no one has called me (you clearly have my number) what I needed done and could have been done in a couple of hours by a crew took two women two days to complete. My first two phone calls to your company went no where... Why on earth do you think I would make a third since the result would be " We will have our schedulers call you" My rating stands.

My Opinion

We just used Wasatch Moving Company in our recent move. They worked with us when we had to reschedule the move several times. The 4 guys that showed up were very fast, friendly and professional they made sure to take care with all of the furniture and the TVs were wrapped. Also took care in making sure our doors and walls were undamaged. They even took the time to make sure all the furniture was in the correct rooms and put together correctly. Definitely had to give these guys 5 stars. Would use them again.

I recently was in a Motorcycle accident and needed to move after my stay in the hospital from my Condo back into my Parents house. This Company not only bent over backwards to help me, but was willing to move everything I had while I was in the hospital. They were able to take care of all my belongings without a single scratch. What a relief it was to return back home with all my things in perfect condition. My parents mentioned the attitudes and demeanor of the men moving were absolutely phenomenal! So like Rachel Curtis review, I too had called and Brandon made everything seem great and all but the reality was much different. I had called around to a few places and got all shorts of bids, most were in the $90-100 range for an hour of work but all these places charged extra for full coverage insurance and packing/blankets/etc. So when I asked Brandon for their prices I was taken back a little cause he said $120 and hour BUT THAT EVERYTHING WAS INCLUDED, that I didn't need to buy extra coverage and that I didn't need to worry about packaging stuff. He also told me that they woudln't be charging me until the truck was back at their location, we set up a 3 hour window but in the end it took closer to 7 hours...the guys were younger and they lost steam not even half way through the move at the end taking in one box very slowly at a time and kinda milking the last two hours. Most of the things got in unscathed and in good condition but the Washer and Dryer were beat all to hell, these are BRAND NEW were bought 5 months ago....expensive Samsung Front loaded washer and dryer. So we made a claim, started to read the contract that they don't give you till the end when you pay(also was awkwardly asked to tip their employees) and low and behold its the same insurance that the other guys give you as their base and only covers $.60 per pound...the MAIN REASON I PICKED YOU GUYS OVER THE OTHERS!!! Planed to pay around $400 for the move, got an almost $800 bill for a 3 mile move.... Now they only want to give us $150 back on a washer and dryer set that is closer to $1200 brand new, the back of the dryer is bowed, the front of the washer is dented and bowed at the bottom as is the dryer, we got scraps and we got seals ripped off too. We can never sell these things now if we needed to and their BRAND NEW!!! Will not recommend them, will caution everyone I know about them and will not use their services again.

I have moved maybe 25 to 30 times, and the two gents that Wasatch Movers sent out were the best. I have never had more fun moving. The guys were super respectfully of me and my stuff. It seemed to me that the two guys went way out of there way to ensure I had a great move but I also have the feeling that what I think is above and beyond is just a normal low key day for these two men. Not that I want to ever move again, as I have done it enough, but if I do ever decide to move I'm having Wasatch Movers do the move. I would not think twice about using them. In my opinion this was the best most fun move I have done. I can't say enough positive things about the move. When I was in the planning phase of the move I had to find a moving company I found Wasatch Movers on Google I spoke with Jared. I explained what I wanted and that I was about a month or two out from the move. My experience with Jared over the phone from the first time I contacted Wasatch Movers I knew they were getting my business. Jared followed up with me about every two weeks after our initial contact, which I found to be a great relationship builder with the company. Like I said I don't have enough good things to say. If someone needs to have movers they will not be disappointed choosing Wasatch Movers. I really wish I could remember both gents names one was Carlos. These two guys made my move a great time. And the price let's just say you get way way more then you pay for. Wasatch Movers will be my first recommendation for anyone who asks. Paid to have my home packed today. I have done this in the past with Allied Movers and they were amazing! It took (Allied) one guy to pack my entire home about 3 hours. Today it took the three kids from Wasatch Movers five hours to pack half as much! They didn’t even pack everything. None of my lamps, several pictures were left on the walls, didn’t unpack drawers just threw blankets over them. None of the boxes are even labeled. Then they just left random items on the counters, floors, and in closets. The things they did pack are not organized and my place is in chaos. I’m am so upset. They also said before they left that today alone will be double what I was estimated to expect. I will never use this place again. Terrible.

Best moving experience Ive had, and I've used many movers before. They use technology to the fullest, everything from booking to signing invoices to letting you know your driver is 18 minutes away. Everything can be done electronically. Terrific service by the team including the office staff. The movers were wonderful, were enthusiastic, and you can tell they were engaged and enjoyed working for the company (compared to some other movers I've used with in the past). I highly recommend them, look no further. The only improvement point is the movers did not have their own door stoppers to keep doors open, or disposable shoe covers to keep floors clean. Would be good for the company to equip their teams with door stoppers and disposable shoe covers. Also another minor point is another mover I used in the past used floor mats to help protect the floor, they didn't use any. Although there were no issues, it would be nice to equip the team with it. But fantastic experience overall and like I said the best moving experience Ive had.

They did a walk thru and bid on the move but what was bid and what was done were two different things. They scratched computer monitor and new office furniture and curio cabinet. The nuts and bolts for beds and mirror were missing. We had to go back 130 miles to get one full room of things they did not even touch and we did find some of the nuts and bolts on the floor but not all. I repeatedly asked for a damage form but they never responded. Very unhappy about the furniture. Movers were friendly but scattered.

We had them box stuff up and then, a couple days later, move all our stuff 10 minutes up the road. I’ve moved three times and this was definitely the worst of the three. The cheapest, but the worst. First, they wrapped glass in paper and packed it semi-nicely, but everything else was just haphazardly thrown in a box. My speakers had a few minor scratches, now they have more minor scratches. The same can be said for many other items. Once moving day came, they called to tell me they left behind a few cords and miscellaneous items. I told them that would be fine I’d just grab it myself. When I went there, they had forgotten 3 bookshelves and countless other items. I filled the entire 8’ bed of my truck. I paid to have them move my stuff - why did they leave so much stuff behind? They even left my BBQ grill behind after we specifically talked about it. That was a huge pain in the butt to load myself. Then back at the house ... you have 7 days to file damage claims. I learned about this “new policy” the day of the move. What choice did I have? I didn’t unbox 1/3 of my stuff in the first 7 days. Who knows what else is broken. Unboxing is a nightmare because the boxes are not even in the right rooms. Boxes labeled “kids room” are in the living room. “Master bedroom” boxes are in the basement. Just not very careful. They damaged a wall and acknowledged it. I filed a damage claim and heard nothing for 7 days. In the meantime, I had actual painters fix and repair it. It looks great now. Cost me $50. Surprise, they won’t reimburse the cost because they have the “right to repair it on their own” and “that looks like a 5-min repair.” Based on the rest of their sloppy work, there is no way I would let them repair or paint my walls. The painters puttied and shaped the repair to match the molding. Waited for it to dry. Sanded it perfect and then painted the entire door jamb so the white would blend perfect. $50 seemed reasonable to me. 5-min repair job from sloppy movers?? No thanks I’ll pay the $50 ... and I’d pay another $50 to not ever deal with Wasatch moving company again.

We hired a moving company thinking it would make our whole move oh so easy! NOT!! It made thinks so much more difficult than it should have been. They showed up 5 hours after our scheduled time frame. The workers themselves were great but having to deal that the “manager” Eric was just a nightmare. He called us saying that there were only a couple boxes left come to find out there was a significant amount of boxes and our adjustable base which was the main reason we hired a moving company.
