Everything about shipping my vehicle with MVS was awesome EXCEPT for my interaction with the guard the day I went to pick it up. He was unbelievably incompetent and rude. He couldn't find my paperwork/release form and tried to send me away. After calling and speaking with multiple other people, who were actually super nice and super helpful, I was finally able to retrieve my vehicle. Again, shipping with MVS was still a good experience overall but that guard was THE worst and Def made the final leg of the process way more difficult than it needed to be.

No everything was straightforward. The delivery to my house was delayed due to hold up on the QEW at Burlington - I had to call to find out why there was a hold-up - but once I did MVS responded well and gave me updates on likely delivery time. So overall very happy with the service.

Please make sure the customer knows they need to send the photos of the car after drop off on the same day. I didn't know this and because I was busy with relocation I didn't send the pictures immediately and received an email saying my car was not dropped off on time, this email was sent 2 days after the actual drop off, I should not need to inform you that my car was dropped off after drop off, you should have an internal process for that Everything else was perfect, my car arrived in a very good condition and few days before the estimated date but I was only able to get it on estimated date, that didn't upset me, but that email did

Worst customer service and care. I could write a book on my experience. If you are smart, which you are, do not book with these people. They are the most unprofessional company. They have no integrity at all. My are was one month late and was delivered to a different location than agreed. My car arrived filthy and with no gas. From the drop off point in Calgary to the transportation to the drop off in Dartmouth, indescribable. As a business owner myself, if I treated anyone like this I would be done. Deplorable.

Horrible experience. What I hoped to be a stress free move ended with poor customer service. Would never use again and spreading the word to others. After a month of waiting for my vehicle they phoned to say that two rocks went through the front window. That kids threw them and tough luck for me. Window smashed, glass everywhere, glass embedded in seats, a-frame handle damaged, pleather console has nicks, head rest broken. Mvs states I have to go though my insurance even though you pay for insurance in your price. Terms and conditions do not state that this would not be covered but yet they refuse. Not recommended. Updated reply: the company states that the driver was shaken up but did not know the vehicle was even damaged until later. He read on Facebook that rocks were thrown and assumed it was them. Not noticed at the time of the event. Political post to state why they are not responsible. Inaccurate statement about my insurance covering it. This is the responsibility of the company who was suppose to provide a service to have a vehicle shipped in the same condition in left. Instead received with multiple damages, they even left the rocks in the car and glass everywhere. Poor service. Do not use. Terms were not provided that stated they would not cover the damage.

I was agonizing about how I would get my late wife's car out to my daughter in Ontario. As a new doctor, she needed a better car to get around in the snow and I didn't need it here in Vancouver. The prospect of spending a week driving across Canada in January, probably by myself, was not appealing. Out of curiosity I did a web search on shipping a car in Canada. MVS Canada had a site where I easily filled in the details of the car and where I was shipping from and to. The next morning I received a quote. I was amazed at the price. The total cost of the hotels, gas, meals and the flight back would be far more than what they were quoting me. Plus I wouldn't have to worry about driving on Canadian highways in the winter. I made the booking by email and paid by electronic payment. Simple I drove out to the shipper here in Vancouver and dropped off the keys. Simple Ten days later I got an email saying the car was off loaded and ready for pick up in Toronto. My daughter went out, showed her ID and picked up the car. Simple. The car was in great shape. I couldn't have asked for a simpler, more efficient and worry free way of getting a car across Canada. MVS Canada staff were very responsive to emails and great to deal with.

I needed to ship a newer Ford F250 from the Toronto area out to Vancouver. I sought quotes from several companies. MVS Canada was quick to respond and was much cheaper than the other quotes I received. I knew shipping by rail might take a while and I was in no hurry. The country was in the middle of a terrible winter and I appreciated not having to fly to Ontario and drive it back. Christina was great to deal with and kept me informed, even during a rail strike in Vancouver. I eventually received my truck in pristine condition. I wouldn't hesitate to use MVS Canada again.

When I left my car at the warehouse, they wasn't aware that I will be dropping off my car. But, this wasn't a big deal because the customer rep in MVS resolved for me in a short time. I moved just before Christmas from Vancouver to Calgary. Had very pleasant experience with MVS. Very professional and I got quick responses even during weekends. My only pet peeve was their timing but there were a lot of factors which contributed to that including the BC floods and road conditions. My car arrived safe and sound with no problems, which is the most important thing. Just don't expect and exact date of arrival or departure.

Complete disaster. After reading the numerous good reviews on google I felt confident that working with MVS would be a good experience. I was wrong. I booked shipping from Toronto to Halifax (for a vehicle I purchased for my business) on September 20th.Received updates that it would take a week to 10 days for it to be assigned to a truck. Get an email on September 29th telling me they will pick up in the next 7 to 10 days (which would be October 9 latest). On October 5th I receive an update that the van will be picked up “next week” which would be October 12th to15th because of the Thanksgiving holiday. Tuesday the 12th comes and goes, Wednesday the 13th comes and goes. I follow up and am told that there were “truck issues” and the pick up will be on Thursday the 14th in the afternoon. No pick up on Thursday and no communication from them, only after me pestering them for information. Finally get an update telling me that it will now be picked up on Monday October 18th because there was a “scheduling error”. Shipper is angry because he has been sitting around his home for 3 days waiting for them to pick up a vehicle he is now forced to store for me. I am angry because although I have fully paid ($3000!!!) for this service nearly a month ago I still do not have my vehicle. I have had to postpone business commitments I have because of them dropping the ball. Horrible communication and horrible customer service. DO NOT TRUST THEM and look elsewhere for your shipping needs. I wish I did.

I purchased a rare collector car in Calgary Alberta and hat it shipped to Vancouver BC.I chose to use their enclosed truck as it was in November. With the enclosed truck option, the car was fully insured. The MVS website encourages you to load up to 24 pictures detailing the condition of the car before it is loaded. Throughout the process, the representative from MVS was quick to respond to any of my questions. The driver of the truck kept in touch with my service representative at the dealership in Vancouver, and ensured a smooth delivery. I was a little nervous about shipping the car, but MVS met my high expectations. I highly recommend them. The car arrived on time and in perfect condition.

EDIT TO REVIEW : After the below occurred, I emailed MVS. They responded very quickly. While I didn't receive an apology for the incident I did receive an explanation and a promise to pay back the amount owing. Apparently the tolls cameras will photograph plates from time to time. In this case, I am thankful that I had mail from my old address being forwarded to my new home or else I could have had the charge go to collections without being aware of it occurring at all. Customer support stated I would be reimbursed the next day, and they did pay the amount in full. I am satisfied with the resolution, but bothered it happened at all. Since this has happened before why nottake steps to prevent it - perhaps cover the plates on the shipped cars if taking toll routes? As it has been resolved but because of the bother the service rating has been moved from 1 to 3 stars. The shipping process with this company was fair to moderate (initially). Some things inside the car were moved around with a couple of extra dings I didn't know if they belonged there before or not. The outside was filthy but that's how it goes shipping things open to the air. I rather move forward with life than worry about dings in/on an old car so I let it go. For the price I would have expected better service but I was fine with it. After I thought I had settled my business with them I receive a notice in the mail today that my car was charged for driving on a toll highway, without a transponder, at 3AM several days AFTER I dropped it off at what I thought was the shipping terminal Whether joy riding, or simply moving my care to another transit hub, what goes through their head to think that the customer would be fine with that? This wasn't a little bit down the road, it was 33 Km according to the BILL IN THE MAIL. I have contacted their central email because they have no Western Canada number location or hours. I hope they'll respond with an apology and try to make amends, if they do I'll edit this review to reflect their efforts. Otherwise my review is stay away!

MVS Canada is a great company to ship with and my experience was very pleasant. I shipped my vehicle from Halifax, NS to Ottawa, Ontario and my vehicle was arrived in Ottawa within 4 days. My vehicle was in the similar condition as I dropped in. The process was quite smooth and they also provided tracking system to track the expected delivery of the vehicle. I took quotes from few other companies but there price was very reasonable. I will definitely use the services again if required and highly recommending this company. Keep up the good work.

We had to move our CX-5 during the pandemic cross-province. After much research MVS came out on-top in terms affordability and tracking. With COVID-19 expect delays we were originally told 2weeks from Terminal Drop-off to Delivery ended up close to 4weeks. Big Shout-out to Christina & the folks at Caledon to deliver on their commitment to expedite delivery. Overall will consider MVS Shipping and do recommend them. Short of the delay would have been 5⭐️

From beginning to end, the process went very smoothly with lots of automatic notifications as our vehicle moved across Canada through various locations. Even during the pandemic, they were able to ship our vehicle to us in a timely manner in only just slightly more than 2 weeks from when we dropped it off in the secure trucking terminal in Calgary to when it arrived safely in a secure trucking terminal in Dartmouth and was ready for us to pick up. Unfortunately the worst customer service experience I’ve had in 52 years of life. I shipped my vehicle from Milton, Ontario to Calgary and when I picked it up, it was covered in winter debris far out of the ordinary. The inside of the vehicle had extensive salt, moisture, and even a snowdrift inside and clearly the vehicle had been transported with the drivers window down for a portion of the trip. The windows were so bad that you couldn’t see outside of them. Somebody had rolled the drivers window up and down several times to see where they were going of which the glass is now scratched and damaged. There were scratches on the passenger side windows where something had scratched all along the vehicle, as well as small rocks literally embedded into the paint from the heavy road debris on the vehicle. I contacted MVS, and after several communications back and forth, I literally had to fight just to get compensation for the money I spent cleaning the vehicle so that I could safely drive it home that day. I thought I should receive a few hundred dollars in compensation for the damages on the glass, and I was told, and I quote, the amount I asked for was “absurd”. I was then told that I needed to deal with the third-party they had subcontracted through to transport the vehicle. Of course it was MVS that I had done business with so the third-party could do nothing. After doing some homework, I’ve come to discover that MVS is a small family business of six people operating out of Halifax. They are not the big company they portray to be and they simply subcontract transportation companies to transport your vehicle. You have no recourse as they don’t do any transportation themselves and their care and customer service is absolutely horrible! I would strongly suggest never dealing with this company and feel free to reach out to me for any information or further details.

We couldn't have been happier with the service we got from MVS Canada. We shipped our car across the country during the pandemic and during the BC floods which directly impacted our car delivery as it disconnected the province from the rest of Canada. Yikes! But MVS Canada kept us updated with regular communication and tracking information. This gave us a high level of confidence that everything would be OK—and it was. Not only did we get our car delivered without a scratch, they managed to do it within the original timeframe we had been given! We cannot recommend MVS Canada highly enough.

It was a painful journey with MVS, They took 42 days (1 Aug to 11 Sep, 2021) to receive my car in Saskatoon from Ontario "Celadon" beginning communications were transparent, but they were not even giving the ETA once they missed the first dispatch date !! I've used them for our company vehicles transportation from Fort McMurray to Vancouver and to Calgary and was an extremely easy process with MVS Canada! A few quick emails back and forth with Christina were prompt, simple and easy instructions for drop offs and pick up. Reasonably priced and fast transportation. I had these two vehicle shipped right before Christmas week and was told it may not arrive till first week of January but to my surprise they came quicker than expected. When I called to set up pickup, they were professional and worked around my schedule which was great. They even started the truck and cleared the snow off which was awesome! We are now in the process of shipping a third vehicle with them and would highly recommend them for the transportation of your vehicle.

My experience with MVS was average. Not amazing, but not terrible. I have rated them 3 stars for: 1. The car arriving on time and undamaged 2. Fairly and competitively priced 3. Allowing me to ship personal items in my car Their customer service is copacetic – everyone I spoke with, whether by phone or by email, was professional and polite. They will answer any questions about the shipping process or price quotes in a timely manner. That being said, the weakness of MVS is that they lack effective communication in where it matters most. That being, they are very passive when it comes to communicating with you about the status of your car shipment (after you’ve paid and booked your appointment with them). I had to do all the reaching out myself – asking for an email with the shipping information and process, asking for information on terminal drop off etc. I would caution anyone who chooses MVS that they will have to do a lot of the work themselves. Although they do have vehicle tracking, it is not always helpful. The tracking updates are pushed to your email manually by the customer service reps, so they can sometimes be very delayed to what is actually happening. As an example, I had my car shipped to and held at a car dealership in my destination city. I opted to contact the dealership directly to get the delivery status of my vehicle because I did not trust that MVS had up to date information on it. My vehicle was delivered on April 30, and it wasn’t until a week later – on May 6 – that the MVS vehicle tracking website was updated to “delivered”. This is fine, but also not super helpful if you were to rely solely on their vehicle tracking for your information. My vehicle had a very specific date by which it had to arrive. This was something I was clear about to MVS from the beginning of the process, and although delivery dates are understandably not guaranteed, I ensured that I booked my shipment a month in advance to accommodate. After a couple weeks of no movement of my vehicle out of its origin city, MVS had to “rush” my vehicle to its destination city (after some pushback from myself). To my surprise and gratitude, my vehicle was delivered on time with no damage (aside from the expected dirt that comes with open transport). For this, I would like to extend a thank you to MVS. Overall, MVS Canada is a decent car shipping company and I would consider using them again despite the negatives. I would just encourage them to refine their communication procedure.

After doing the online documents there was a nice package of emails providing all of the details of the process. It was very thorough. After I dropped my car emails were still regular on the status of the vehicle. The whole process took less than two weeks (very impressive considering 1. how far I shipped and 2. the season I shipped in, being December holidays). When I sent another note today to complain, suddenly a response popped up to say it was delivered. I recently purchased a Fiat 500 Abarth Cabrio as a 40th birthday present to myself. The vehicle was located at a dealership in Laval, QC but I am in Vancouver, BC. After a brief online search for vehicle transport services, MVS struck me as the most trustworthy and professional. Back-and-forth communication from day one had been nothing but the most helpful, friendly, and highly informative. Susan in the office was a great pleasure to deal with the entire time. Emails were all answered within an hour or two (sometimes within minutes!). The progress of the vehicle movement across Canada was updated periodically as it moved from one location to the next. My car was picked up from the dealership in Laval on February 26th, and was ready for pick-up at the train terminal in Delta, BC on March 22nd - a total transport time of just over 3 weeks. Upon arrival, every square inch of the car was covered in dirt and debris (as expected in a cross-country transport), but without a single damage, scratch, crack of any kind. The interior stayed very clean, almost just like the day it left Quebec. The pick-up process in Delta was VERY fast and easy. I am extremely happy with the services that I received from MVS, and will recommend it to anybody looking to transport their vehicles in Canada.

Regarding the photos of my car, I was scared when I saw them later though taken by me. It looks like lot of damage on my car due to the reflection of other cars on my car. It was my first time shipping a car across the country and I was definitely nervous about finding a company that can make it a smooth process. I chose MVS Canada because of their great reviews and the fact that they allowed 200lb of belonging in the vehicle, which some companies do not provide. The process was very easy: 1. email/phone, 2. brought car out to the dropoff point where they did an inspection, 3. made payment + wait for email of car arrival, 4. schedule to pickup the car. Shipping took about 1 - 1.5 week for me, but I did not pick up my car until about 2 - 3 weeks after I shipped it. From my experience, I recall MVS Canada telling me that "the truck will depart when it is full" and when I shipped from Edmonton to Toronto, their truck seems to fill up within a week so that was quick enough for me.

This is my first time to use a shipping company to move my car from one province to another. I am new to Canada and have to move province because of my new job. Initially, my plan was to drive my car from Ontario to Nova Scotia but because of Covid19, I changed my plan since it's a little risky to make stops on nearby cities. It only took a day for them to send my car to Nova Scotia, and hear this, the price I paid was for an open truck shipping with other cars but they put my car on a closed container for shipping! I'm giving 2 stars because my car showed up damaged. The bolts on the inside were broken off, therefore loosening my front bumper. This doesn't happen due to "general wear and tear of a car that is over 7 years old" like MVS claims. This wrinkle is in their policy and there was also a $500 deductible for repairs. I ended up repairing this damage myself but their driver clearly bumped or got the front bumper stuck on an object forcing the bolts to rip off. I will say MVS does have great communication as they reply to emails really quick.

Dear MVS Canada, MVS Canada lost keys to my Acura MDX and despite repeated pleas to fix the key professionally, MVS Canada decided to go with a “Band-Aid” fix and shipped my vehicle. The answer I received to my question was that I am being overly concerned about my keys when professionals are fixing the issue. I trusted MVS Canada and this proved to be a grave mistake. I was not contacted about the loss of keys until I called to find out about the extremely long delay. MVS Canada simply gave a key that does not have a remote start. I have been constantly reaching out to you and MVS Canada is ignoring my emails. 1) Why are you not taking the responsibility for your own mistake? Why did you lose my key? No one misplaces the key intentionally, I can understand that. But, why are you not fixing my key the right way? Any reputed business would accept its own mistakes honestly. 2) I have been asking the same question by email and through reviews. I am not getting any relevant answers. I paid a lot of money for my MDX. I am not able to use the car the way I wanted due to the mistakes of MVS Canada. How are you going to compensate for all my struggles that are created by MVS Canada? I request the owners or the managers of MVS Canada to address my issue. I just want my car to be restored to the condition that it was when MVS Canada took possession of my vehicle. I seriously do not think that this is an outrageous request. I entered in to a contract with MVS Canada to ship my vehicle. Not to cause me undue stress by losing my key and refusing proper service. Please help!

My only advise is that its better to give the customer a car wash coupon when they pick up the vehicle since the vehicle will become dirty during the transportation. Totally shipped 3 times with MVS. No damage to the vehicle itself. Prior to the third shipping, my vehicle wont start due to parked for too long. Used my battery booster to start the vehicle. Just in case it wont start again when I pick it up, I put the battery booster in the passenger side storage and locked it. Surprisingly, someone opened the locked storage and took the battery booster away. Contacted MVS, but the response from their manager Kevin is that they only inspect exterior but not interior. Anything lost is my responsibility even they are locked. I suggest taking out Everything even your roadside assistance kit or any tools before dropping off.

I recently shipped my car from Edmonton, Alberta to Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. I had a fantastic experience with MVS. I dealt with Christina Graves who was very helpful and answered all of my e-mails or phone calls promptly and efficiently. I received a quote of $2075 and when I asked what additional costs there would be to store my belongings in my vehicle there were none! I dropped my car off in Edmonton and the location was easy to find. Then picked it up at the lot it arrived at in Dartmouth, which caused no problems either. I am from Newfoundland but did not have my vehicle shipped there because it was much cheaper to fly to Nova Scotia and drive the car back from there. The customer service from MVS was great. I was very happy with how smooth the move was and there were no issues to my vehicle or belongings. It also did not take too long for my car to get that distance... approximately two weeks, which I expected. Great job Christina and team at MVS!

WORST COMPANY EVER. Nick the supposed Manager is a complete joke and waste of time to talk to. We shipped our vehicle over 14 business days ago and it was supposed to be in Vancouver on Friday. We showed up Tuesday to pick it up and have been given the run around ever since. MVS keeps blaming us saying that they never sent us a ETA, but we have emails to prove that they did. Now we are out $5600 between having to pay our sub-contractors their full two days pay and paying for the plane tickets and paying MVS Canada for nothing, They are not helpful and in a full two days of arguments I have not heard one apology. This place is disgusting!!!!!

MVS Canada did a great job shipping my vehicle. My car arrived quickly to its destinations with no damage (only took 3 days from when I had dropped it off to when it was ready for pick-up). Although items left in your vehicle during the shipping process are left at your own risk according ot MVS, I did manage to put some of my belongings into my trunk and those arrived safely as well. The only thing I wish I would have known prior to picking up my vehicle was the pick-up hours of the lot at my drop-off location. They only allowed pick-ups between 9am and 11am during the week, which made things difficult as I was not always able to get time off. However, MVS agreed to drop the car off at my home once I made this known to them with no additional fees, which was phenomenal. I would highly recommend using MVS for car shipping.

I was put in charge by my family to get my fathers car from Ontario to B.C. My first thought was I have no idea how to do this and where to start. I was very fortunate to find MVS while searching the web. First thing I did was request a quote from their web page. They responded quickly with no further pressure until I was ready to proceed . Then I checked other companies & fortunately I picked MVS. The service from picking up the car at the house to final delivery direct to the new house was 5 star all the way. The car arrived in the same condition as when it left. The staff at MVS are always professional, knowledgeable, very helpful and a pleasure to communicate with either by email or phone. Jan. 2021 So even in these crazy covid 19 times MVS managed to get my car from the Caledon Ont. terminal to the Edmonton terminal even faster than estimated. The website answered most of my questions to start with and the two people I spoke with on the phone, Teresa and Brenda were great. I was kept well informed the whole time by their emails with all the details and instructions all along the way. Even the price was good 1475.00 incl. tax so the whole experience was definitely 5 stars.

I had a less than stellar experience shipping my MDX from Vancouver to Toronto with a different company. I did my research this time and am extremely satisfied that I found MVS Canada. Unlike the previous company I used, MVS Canada was a star. Very professional without losing the personable touch. Car was shipped from Calgary to Dartmouth. The front end looked as though as it had been blasted with buckshot, it was absolutely covered in chips in the paint. When I emailed MVS they said they wouldn’t cover it as it isn’t something the driver can prevent. Definitely would not use again, very disappointing. To be honest, it's not bad. Also, hard to say it is excellent. Since the process is pretty normal. No damage on my car and it takes about 20 days shipping from Kitchener to Vancouver (door to terminal). When I first call this company, I was wondering that they would have a time guarantee on it but they said they are unable to provide that. The date that my car arrived is pretty much close to what I was expected, just like 3 to 4 days later, but I would accept it since the weather in BC during that week is kind of bad. Other things are good, price is also not much different from others. I would also think about it when I need it next time.

We needed to ship a Subaru Forester from Ottawa to Calgary and used MVS to make this happen. I was anticipating a costly, lengthy and cumbersome process. My experience with MVS was that shipping a car was simple and less expensive than anticipated, with great support and timely information on the car's progress west. Basically, you drop your car off at a Terminal and the recipient picks it up at the destination some few weeks later. Interestingly, we mailed the car keys to the recipient in Calgary the day after dropping off the car at the MVS Terminal in Ottawa. The car arrived in Calgary four days before the keys. I would use MVS again sithout hesitation. They know what they are doing.

I would absolutely NOT recommend using MVS to ship to the Maritmes. The only way my experience could have been worse is if my vehicle had been damaged or stolen. After what it cost me in stress, time, and money, I really wish I'd used any other transport company . I had a van shipped from Alberta to Cape Breton. I received a reasonable quote quickly, my many questions were answered through many emails very quickly. MVS doesn't go to either the town I was shipping from, or the town I was shipping to, so the van had to be dropped off at the Calgary terminal. It was over 2 weeks before it left Calgary. As the vehicle arrived at each stop, I received a notification, and again when it left. I was instructed to find a commercial business where the van could be unloaded at its final destination, though I was never given an estimated date of delivery. I did locate a car dealership that agreed to be my unloading point, but wanted me to be present when it was delivered, as it did not want to take responsibility. Understandable. This meant I would need to take a day off work to drive the 2.5 hours to meet the driver at the dealership. I couldn't book a day off because I had no idea which day I would need. I'd received a notification when the van left Ontario, and was told when it was estimated to reach Dartmouth. That Tuesday came and I never received notification of the van's arrival. Friday I emailed customer care, asking if the van was in Dartmouth. No reply. Monday I emailed again, and the reply told me it was in Dartmouth, expecting to leave to the final destination on Tuesday. I finangled a last minute day off work, arranged a ride to town - $225 - so I could drive the van back. The van doesn't arrive, there's no communication. I contacted customer care, who said the driver had an emergency and would be leaving Wednesday. I had to rent a vehicle to get home -$279. The van does NOT leave Wednesday. My emails were NOT answered. Thursday I called MVS. I leave my info and message. I got no return call. My subsequent calls don't go further than reception. I'm finally able to speak with a manager, who promises to find out what's happening. Apparently they've had a lot of problems with the company they work with in Dartmouth. He calls me around 3pm, saying the driver has left Dartmouth, and the driver would call me when he was a couple hours away. At this point I was in the final destination town to return the vehicle I'd rented, as it was not available for another day. It's a 6-8 hr drive from Dartmouth to the final destination, and I had to get home, so once again I had to rent a vehicle. I never heard from the driver or anyone else from MVS. I did get a call the next morning from the dealership, saying there was a strange van in their parking lot, and asked if it could be mine. It turns out it had been left in the lot, entirely unlocked, and the keys had been hidden under the cover of a propane tank, near the building, passed a pile of garbage and debris. I'm so disappointed in my experience with MVS. The manager I spoke with did ask me to send him my receipt for the first car rental so I could be reimbursed for that. I did send the receipt, and never heard more, just adding to this disappointment. * UPDATE: I was eventually reimbursed for my first car rental, as well as for the gas it took to drive home and back to the city.

I shipped a car from Toronto to Calgary by MVS. As per normal I was a little sceptical as this was my first time wit this endeavour. After some research I decided to go with MVS, their operation office is out of Dartmouth, NS. The folks I talked to there were very helpful, friendly and instilled confidence in my decision. They explained the procedure, said it would be shipped by train within the specified timeline. Even though my insurance remained on the vehicle, they covered it also. You were required to take about 25 pictures of the car (wheels, panels, front, back and top) so that when it arrived you would know if there was any differences. MVS also supplies a tracking system so that you know where your car was at all times. I dropped the keys at the terminal in TO, took the required pictures, gave the lady my keys, and said goodbye! The car arrived in Calgary within the specified time. My son was phoned when the car arrived in Calgary, he picked it up in perfect condition. MVS also said not to move the car if a problem was found but discuss it with the office, resolve the dispute or discrepancies and then go. Pretty honest to me. I would give this company a 10+ in all aspects of it’ s service. Regards, Jim. (Nov. 23, 2021) PS: Also something to consider if you are vacationing out west ( or visa versa) if you have a large family, have to rent a car (atrocious prices)for a few days, want to save some travel time and want your own car. Fly one way and drive back. Just a thought.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND MVS AS A SHIPPER FOR YOUR VEHICLE. This review should come as no surprise to Susan at MVS. I was advised that my car was available for pickup in Delta, when in fact it was not there. This not only wasted my time, but also wasted my son in laws time, who took the day off work to drive me the 2 ½ hours to pick up my car, only to find it had not yet arrived. After this occurred I asked Susan to contact me daily with an update on my vehicle. Susan said she was too busy to provide this service. This still leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Someone at MVS screwed up, this resulted in a wasted 5 hour return trip, and the loss of a one day pay for my son in law. The least MVS could have done to make this situation better was to provide a little customer service and contact me daily. When my car did arrive all I received was the automated tracking email saying it was available for pickup (again). To date neither Susan, or the ‘Manager’, have contacted me regarding this situation.

I had a positive experience with MVS Canada Vehicle Shipping and I would recommend them to everyone. They made the whole process of moving easy and eased all the stress of moving my car. Placing my order was as easy as filling in the form and the customer service was great and communication with their agent was prompt and friendly. There estimate of when I would receive my car was the shortest of any other company I called and they somehow delivered my car almost a week before the estimated date. Their agent called me and accommodated me regarding when and where I could pick up my car. The one thing that I would suggest is that maybe they can offer an additional service of washing your car since it gets quite dirty traveling across Canada but that is a minor issue, especially since they offer the most competitive rate than any other shipper that I contacted.

MAKE SURE YOU HAVE WRITTEN PROOF FROM J SIMONS AND MVS THAT YOUR PARKING BRAKE IS IN GOOD ORDER BEFORE YOU SHIP YOUR VEHICLE WITH MVS CANADA LOGISTICS. I brought my 2016 Platinum model, 4 door Ford Explorer, to the J Simons - Cote St. Luc Terminal at 5901 Westminster Ave, H4W2J9, on the morning of Friday August 6th 2021. I WAS PRESENT AT COTE ST LUC WHEN MY EXPLORER WAS DRIVEN OFF TO BE LOADED ONTO THE TRAIN. SURELY IF THE PARKING BRAKE WAS IN THE CONDITION IT WAS IN WHEN IT WAS DELIVERED TO DELTA BC, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED FOR SHIPMENT. On reviewing the information emailed to me, I note that under the section: HOW TO PREPARE YOUR VEHICLE FOR TRANSPORT : it is stated that: “YOUR VEHICLE MUST BE IN GOOD WORKING ORDER AND THE EMERGENCY BRAKE MUST FUNCTION” When I Picked up the Explorer at J Simons- Delta BC terminal on Wednesday August 25th 2021, the parking brake pedal had no tension, the dashboard “parking brake engaged”warning light was lit and the “parking brake engaged” warning chime was sounding. Staff at J Simons were minimally helpful, offering to call a tow truck. I and my wife were ordered out of the offices and the door was then locked. CAA verified that the car could be driven as in reality the parking brake was not engaged. The CAA tow truck driver advised us that the parking brake cable was broken. MVS refused to offer any help or compensation stating that :”THEY HAD NO PROOF THAT THE PARKING BRAKE WAS IN GOOD ORDER AT THE TIME OF SHIPMENT “ I FIND IT HARD TO BELIEVE THAT, WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS OFF LOADED IN DELTA, NO-ONE NOTICED: 1. THERE WAS NO TENSION ON THE PARKING BRAKE PEDAL. 2. THE PARKING BRAKE WOULD NOT ENGAGE . 3. THE “PARKING BRAKE ENGAGED” LIGHT WAS FLASHING and 4. THE WARNING CHIME WAS BEEPING CONTINUOUSLY. SHIPPER BEWARE !!!

Always very prompt in getting us new quotes and never a concern in doing so as we explored options. I approached several companies on the market before and I decided to choose MVS. I used rail service from Vancouver, BC to Toronto, ON for my Dodge Dart. May be others have a bit lower quotes however, reviews are horrible. So, I paid extra but was confident that my vehicle will be transported without damages at the promised time. I was surprised that it came one day earlier than expected. When I checked my vehicle on the lot at Scarborough terminal, couldn't find any issues. Checked mileage and everything else inside out. Great and reliable operator. Customer service very responsive, you will get update at every terminal where the train stops. Always answers on phone calls and emails. Keep in mind to call and update operator that your vehicle is ready for pick up. Unfortunately, had to remove my sub-woofer as nothing allowed except set of tires. Vehicle was loaded on the train in one day! Delivered in 9 days. At the beginnig, it was a bit confusing that the vehicle stops every day within Vancouver area but I guess that's how CP operates.

The process was very easy! The ability to track online gave so much peace of mind. Everyone along the way was communicative and available for questions. Flexible drop off and pick up times also helped a lot. Our shipping time was estimated to be 6-11 days, but it got there in 4. Even though we weren't ready to pick it up, we were happy it came so quickly, and the receivers were able to hold it for us for a few days. The car was in perfect condition. Fantastic service!
