By far the most clear and on-point, non-nonsense movers we spoke with. Not only were they friendly, respectful, and on time, they went above and beyond to make sure everything was packed safely and kept us posted when there were issues with ferry booking, eventually going the long way around so that they wouldn't miss their target time. BEST PART: ONE PRICE! No added fees or BS, everything was upfront and done with professionalism. Good local guys that actually care about running a business and not just a corporate franchise like the other brands. Cheers guys, thanks a million for the smooth move to the island ;)

I didn't move with this company because the communication was really curt. I asked for a quote, and indicated a preferred date. Got an email back saying they couldn't do that date, included a different date. Nothing else. No questions, no interest in my situation. So I asked after prices, again got back a really curt response with no follow through, so we went with a different company. I'm still not sure why somebody would return a quote request with no actual quote as if I'd bothered him while he was busy. I just filled in the form on the website, buddy.

I cannot recommend this company enough! We had 3 guys move a 1 bedroom apartments worth of stuff, from our unit at Lions Gate Mini Storage in North Van, to our new home in Coquitlam. All 3 men were incredibly professional, kind, extremely efficient, hard working, and finished the move very quickly (minus North Van traffic, but that's a given no matter what time of day!) with a smile on everyone's face. We were pleasantly surprised when Mountain Movers were on site on time and ready to transfer our newly purchased commercial laundry equipment. We checked around to find a reliable company and they were the right choice! From being on time, helpful staff and even a friend joke or two these guys were FANTASTIC! Amazing guys, supremely happy with my move. I moved on Feb 20, 2017, downsizing from a two bedroom with my ex to a one bedroom only a handful of blocks away. Darren was able to schedule me in on short notice (under a week) which was a huge saving grace. I didn't have much big furniture, the largest was a 5ft x 5ft Ikea Expidit/Kallax shelf. What I did have though was LOTS of not very big boxes and big bags of STUFF. If I had known about wardrobe boxes it would have saved a lot of time and effort on everyone's part, but as it was, Wil (driver) and Chase (swamper) were fast and efficient, and we're super friendly and had a great attitude. Chase was all about taking care not to damage anything, from the walls to my items being moved, and is a great guy all round. I would HIGHLY recommend Mountain Movers, and specifically Chase and Wil to anyone, and already have done to a colleague who is planning a move come April. Thanks again, guys! ????????

Used Mountain Movers for my local move just after New Years. Chase and his team arrived early and went right to work after a quick walkthrough. The team was extremely professional and friendly, jokes through the move kept a stressful day light and fun. They took out large items of furniture with ease that delivery companies struggled to get in. Nothing was damaged and not a single mark on any walls in a three level townhome. The move was completed under budget and ahead of time! Would highly recommend.

Darren and his team moved us back in December right before and after Christmas. He suggested we make the move in two separate days instead of one to alleviate the stress of a really long day as we have two young children and a dog. (We moved from a house in Coquitlam to a house in Port Moody.) I am so thankful that he recommended this to us as an option, it truly made the move stress free and super easy! Darren kept in touch with me many times prior to our move, and accommodated our unknowingly changes in moving dates due to renovation complications and delays. I can't thank him enough for that! Everyone on his team was polite, friendly, clean, courteous, respectful and carried good senses of humour with them which lightened up the day and actually made moving a lot of fun for us and our kids. They took the time to ask questions, took great care in protecting our belongings and were still able to be very fast and efficient with the move. Darren keeps his trucks in immaculate condition, which meant all of our furniture was kept clean during the move. The cost of the move was also very reasonable, and ended up being less than what one of their major competitors quoted us. We hired Mountain Movers because of the great reviews we read about them on Homestars and Google Reviews, and are so happy we did. We can't thank Darren and his team enough for making our moving days so enjoyable! We fully recommend them and would definitely hire them again!!!!

We were moving from Vancouver to Kelowna and called 3 different moving companies. We were shocked with the prices of the first two. Then my niece’s boyfriend told us try Mountain Movers. He had used them for his move to Kelowna. I called Darren and he promptly came by and provide us a quote of more than half of the other two quotes. Best of all, they do not charge by weight. We had a very full house and garage. They arrived on time and loaded with 4 men and unloaded with 3 in Kelowna. They were very careful with all our items. All the movers were fun to deal with. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Kudos out to Darren and Quincy.

The movers themselves were professional and AMAZING at their job. Quincy and Chase made this day as smooth as possible!! They kept their truck clean, organzed and were careful with all our belongings. If I could hire just them I would!! However the boss Darren is the reason I have only giving them a 3/5 and not 5/5. I am not sure why he even came to the move if he was going to sit in the truck the whole time, didn't even come out to greet us or discuss the plan. He only got out of the truck to use our bathroom at both move out and move in places without even a courtesy ask at either location. He also expected us to drive one of the movers to the new location (because he sent another mover home with the extra car) but didn't tell us till moments before we had to leave and we had packed our car full of fragile belongings. Working in customer service myself in people's homes this is a huge dissatisfaction in my opinion. Had he come out to greet us when arrived even if he physically can't do any moving but had been social, explained a ride was needed and any other pertinent info , and simply asking to use our facilities would have changed the whole experience.

We moved last week and hired mountain movers after a friend recommended them to us. I was dreading the move, packing was a pain and I was expecting the worst. The movers showed up on time, came in to assess the place and get direction on what was being moved and then got to work. All of them were great guys, very friendly and social and put our minds right at ease. My husband and I were both absolutely amazed at how quickly they had everything packed onto the truck and even more amazed at how quickly they got everything off the truck and into the new place. They said they'd make the move pain free and I had my doubts but they definitely delivered! And as an added bonus, their prices were very reasonable and the best out of all of the places I called. I would definitely reccomend them if you're looking to move!

I am writing this review to help people. Moving is stressful - especially when you take possession of new home at 10 am and need to be out of existing house by 2 pm. 1) Hire Mountain Movers. 2) you need at least 5 guys for a 3 bedroom house - I would say a 2 bedroom house also. Moving is HARD work - with fewer guys, fatigue can set in, work slows down, you end up paying for more hours, and things could possibly not go as planned. Mountain Movers showed up with 2 large moving trucks. We had a 3 bedroom house that needed moving and we needed more than 1 truck. The 6 guys were fast, courteous, professional and just all around sweet guys. We needed them to get everything out fast so we could get the cleaners in, plus we had piano movers showing up. They got everything out in 2 hours. Then Music Box piano movers showed up - and when they delivered the piano to our new place, Mountain Movers facilitated the Music Box piano movers getting the piano in via the walkway that Mountain Movers had set up for moving furniture in. On a day that so many things could have gone wrong and affected the timing of movers, piano movers, cleaners - everything went off perfectly, and that is attributable to Mountain Movers. Again, I am writing this review to help others - selecting a mover is stressful. I chose Mountain Movers because they were the only company in my area that didn't have a bad review. The moving process was extremely positive - and I appreciated Darren phoning me the night before to confirm the move - one less thing to worry about.
