I'm an international student at UoG and was told to vacate from my residence on campus asap this month since our uni was getting worried about covid-19 (to minimize the chances of the virus affecting the students or staff). This was on a short notice but Macho movers were still available and helped me shift all my things from my residence to another place within the city. The 2 guys who helped with the moving were friendly and efficient too. Would recommend. Update: I just moved today also to a new place. I had to hire them on a very short notice yesterday regarding this due to complications with my landlord. Macho movers were so understanding and managed to let one of their crews squeeze in some time for me between 2 other shifts. Had to pay a bit more due to the short notice but they were really nice and the moving process went smoothly. Micheal and Bill helped move my stuff quickly and efficiently and they were quite jolly too. Thank you Macho movers!

We used Macho Mover's for the first time on the 22nd of November from Guelph to Dundas at 9:00 a.m. The price was fare and the cheapest in comparison. Unfortunately we forgot the 2 movers names who moved us but the 2 gentlemen were absolutely fantastic! Not only were they polite but very efficient. They were very careful moving our belongings and nothing was scratched, banged around or dented. We would highly recommend Macho Movers to anyone needing movers and will definitely use them again if we ever need movers in the future.

We hired Macho Movers and they were fantastic. Firstly, we called about 5 moving companies regarding our move and only 2 got back to us. Macho Movers was obviously one that returned our call. The did so in a timely fashion and even sent someone out to do an estimate. She was polite and professional and gave me all the information I would need to make my move successful. On the day of the move we had 3 movers and their truck arrived on time. They even called ahead to give me an eta. All 3 movers were polite, professional, and excellent at their job. We used Macho Movers to move some items to a new location. I got a call back on the same day that I had requested a quote and was able to book the move for the very next week. One the day of the move, the two Macho Men phoned to let me know they were on their way, upon arrival they were professional and friendly and VERY fast with moving our items. They made sure to secure everything in the truck to avoid damage and drove appropriately to avoid this as well. Once we arrived at the second location they were efficient in unloading everything and even helped us move a few items around to place them in the correct spots. We hired Macho Movers to move us from Fergus to Balsam Lake area. They were FANTASTIC from the get go. They kept us updated as to arrival time and sent three great guys to pack us up. They worked non stop from the time they arrived. They were meticulous with the packing and excellent to deal with. They were pleasant and polite and made sure we were aware of everything that was going on. They packed us up late afternoon and then headed out early the next morning. The driver/organizer was the same person but two others worked at carrying out stuff also. Once again, complete courtesy, great personalities, sense of humour and terrific hard workers. Where do I start? Okay, the crew rolled in at 9:15am. Shawn/Sean introduced himself. He presented himself professionally and got right to business. I was then introduced to the team, Turk and Manny, whom both exuded a quiet confidence. I hired Macho for one very specific reason, a piano and their motto clearly states, “We, size, up!” That piano, well, the fellas came, saw and ate it’s lunch! They handled every conceivable challenge I presented them with, with enthusiasm. They were well spoken, educated and informative. I recently recreated from Guelph to Ottawa and used Macho Movers services. From start to finish the service was professional, responsive, considerate, careful, and respectful. An in home quote was provided, they loaded my belongings with care and although there was one small damaged item they quickly did their best to rectify the situation, they packed everything in the truck very securely and arrived at the destination at the time agreed upon. The unload took a bit longer but this was also to be expected. They remained pleasant, respectful, considerate and focused the entire time they were unloading. horrible business. DO NOT USE. damaged half of my furniture. they took pictures of the damage before leaving and that was it. I called several times to follow up on what they were gonna do about it and they ignored my calls. they already had my money so who cares right? horrid. The two young men who came were prompt, courteous and efficient. I had to transport half a dozen heavy items from one place with awkward halls and stairs to another one across town that is even worse. Both houses involved two floors . They were friendly and compassionate and did the job beautifully! Highly recommended!

I had Brad from Macho Movers come to do a quote at my father's place in Kitchener in April with a planned move in the near future. After some struggles with my dad finding a place he finally confirmed that he found his new residence. My father and myself worked on things to arrange the next steps to take to accommodate his 2 day move. As a former veteran mover of 26 yrs and a fill in mover presently I worked with the Macho team to help have my dad's move go as smoothly as possible. The help of Lindsay and Kelsey in the office was extremely appreciated and Brad for being able to store my dad's belongings on his truck overnight for delivery the following day. Jonathan, and Eric arrived Tuesday May 18th to load my father's belongings with a great attitude, smiles, and politeness. While loading they took care of every piece of furniture, the walls, floors, and most of all the looms from my grandparents that my dad has. Every thing was padded in the truck and strapped off for the journey to Meaford Ontario. The crew drove up to Meaford that night and was ready for the next day knowing that we might have a key wait. Again the offload went very smoothly and everything was put in it's proper place as directed by my father and his wife. No damages to furniture or the new place which made them very happy. Needless to say it was a outstanding move went above and beyond to make sure that the end result was perfect and it was. It was a pleasure working and dealing with the Macho Movers crew, also a pleasure working beside Jonathan and Eric with the loading and unloading for my father's stressful move. Hands down the best company for any of your moving needs. 5 stars is a underrating for the services and professionalism of Macho Movers definitely a 10 star is deserved here.

We hired Macho movers from Guelph. We were charged for the 20 minute Covid screening and truck inspection that should have been done and not charged to the customer in my opinion. We were quote for travel time Macho mover location to the pick up and drop off location and back to Macho mover lot. Not Covid testing and truck inspection. The two lads we had were friendly and respectable. They were very slow moving to load the truck. Seem like they were trying to extend the hours/ stretch the job time out. Less than an hour into the job. They stopped for a 15 minute smoke break and drink. Hadn’t worked very hard at all in my opinion. Before leaving for the drop off location they asked if they could stop for drinks. This was 2 hours into the job. At the 2-1/2 hour mark and the truck unloaded we cut them loose not to incite more charges. Will not recommend them and will not use them again.

I used these folks for a long distance move from a single northern Ontario location to several destination locations in the Guelph area. It’s the best mover choice I’ve ever made. While I had a bunch of typical, “replaceable” stuff to move – stuff which nevertheless needed to get to the destinations intact! – a number of key furniture pieces were absolutely irreplaceable and could sustain no damage whatsoever. Money offered after-the-fact to repair or mitigate any damage to this furniture sustained in a move – the strategy the “big guys” seem to love to use after they demolish your stuff; yes, this has happened to me and it is horrible – no matter what the amount, could not have come close to rectifying any screw-ups. Read my lips: No damage. Irreplaceable. The instructions were simple: Move this irreplaceable furniture without damaging any of it even a little; and do it while it is full of stuff. The attention to detail and personal care is the finest I’ve ever seen. It was as though these folks were moving their grandmother’s prized china cabinets while full of china. Not only that, they were fabulous communicators, great listeners who valued my feedback when moving some pretty heavy and challenging items, and they showed some serious hustle. No drama whatsoever throughout the process. You will never use another moving service besides these folks after you’ve used them once. Through-and-through professional. Do not hesitate to use them for your most precious stuff. It will arrive intact, and at a great, very honest price. I’m deeply impressed. In a world of poor service, these folks are truly stand-out.

I will never forget how Macho Movers went out of their way to save me and my pregnant wife from imminent homelessness. It was on 22nd Nov 2020, I had gotten scammed by a moving company from Toronto onroute to Windsor who pulled over in a deserted lot in Guelph at 1 am and demanded 4000$ cash up front or our belongings would disappear. Macho movers sent a truck and a group of extremely energetic and friendly staff who made me feel at ease from the start. They handled all my belongings like their own and took extra care to calm me down after a very hectic experience. They unloaded all my belongings in freezing snowstorm till 3:30 am from the scammer's truck to their own(may I add it's a beautiful truck) and reached my destination even without my presence and placed the belongings in all the correct places and not a single damage caused by them. A lesson to learn from my experience: Don't consider unreputable movers to save a few bucks and if you want a company that cares and are freaking great at what they do it's Macho movers. We hired them for a move to windsor from Guelph. The owner came to my house, saw the total stuff i had and then we negotiated for a flat total. We discussed that they will disassemble the furniture and will place everything, wherever i want, at my new place. Once i am satisfied, i can pay. These were the words of the lady who always pickup the phone at their office. The guys came up at the fixed time and the pickup was pretty good and safe. Then they took the stuff to windsor. They start unloading and the guys took too much extra time. Around 11pm they start misbehaving and throwing things in the garage and living area. I told them you are not supposed to do this. One guy called their boss and handover the phone to me. The boss said we are late and we have to move asap. I said this is not done. Then the owner said we are not slaves. We have been working from last 14 hours. They literally threw away the remaining stuff here and there and ran away. Totally unprofessional as they decided a flat rate to move from one place to another and when their guys took so much time they become so arrogant and rude. Definitely not gonna recommend them. Great professional service by Macho movers in guelph. I needed to move a piano in 3 days, and they sorted it. Even with a late notice 2 hour change. Bill and his crew ran a safe professional move, with lots of communication between them to ensure it was done right, and safe. Even after the move, watching them pack up their gear, and stow it in the truck, speaks of their professionalism. A bit on the expensive side, but I needed it done fast. The only thing I would suggest is communicating earlier when the crew got delayed 45 mins… then an hour.. O found out about the delay 3 mins before they were going to show up… a small gripe, but they would have gotten a 5. Highly recommended

I hired Macho Movers to relocate a hot tub for me this past fall. I’m a do it yourself kinda guy but leaving this job to the professionals was worth every penny. (Hot tub weighs approx 790lbs, 8’x8’) Three gentleman showed up and had the hot tub loaded on their specialty trailer within 15 minutes of arriving. Same with the delivery, hot tub was at it’s new home 15-20 minutes after their arrival. They have all the specialty equipment and experience required for the job. The only reason for the 3 stars is stemming purely from the huge difference between the quote and the actual price paid at the end of the day. The two guys that moved my furniture were stella, very professional did a great job, took great care of my stuff, and listened to me when I gave them directions, and to take care of certain items they get 6 stars! What I wasn't thrilled about is that I don't think the company was super forth coming about the price. They quoted me for 3 hrs, which I assumed was from the moment they got there to the moment they left ... I was wrong, they are on the clock the moment they leave their work place, to the moment they get their truck back. So make sure you factor this time in! They also showed up 15-20 mins late and were going to charge me for that time until I complained. If you are going to charge people min by min then you need to eat the time you are late, and not wait for the costumer to complain about it.

I had an awful experience with a DIFFERENT moving company who was a no show. I was left stranded on Feb 1st 2021 with no options to move my belongings. So, I called MACHO MOVERS around 6:30ish PM on Feb 1st (after office hours) desperate and hoping someone would answer. To my surprise, Kelsey answered the phone and was so wonderful. I explained what had happened to me that day and she was very sympathetic. She assured me she had a truck and 2 guys that could move my belongings first thing the next morning and did not charge me a deposit. She explained that they would not charge me until the job was completed to my satisfaction. I was so relieved. It turned out after checking with the property management company at the new place I was moving that the moving room was not available first thing the next morning. I called Kelsey back to let her know and she assured me it would be no problem for the guys to show up at 11:00am. Around 10:30 I received a phone call from Kelsey to let me know the guys were on their way, and then a second phone call from Doug to confirm they were on the way. Doug and Gian were professional, careful, honest and efficient. I could not have been happier with the job they did. Unfortunately, at the time of the move I was still waiting to get my deposit back from the previous movers, so I could not tip them as I would have liked. When I did receive the deposit back from the previous movers, I called Macho Movers (expecting to leave a voicemail as it was outside of office hours) to give an appropriate tip. Jonathan answered the phone promptly, gave me instructions to send an etransfer and assured me he would give Doug and Gian the money when he arrived at the office. I want to thank the team at Macho Movers Inc. for being so professional. The customer service this company provides is stellar!

I had booked the Macho team for 3 hours thinking it would be just enough time since everything was all boxed up; but due to a mix up on our end we lost the keys to the moving container which we didn't notice until the movers had arrived. Not only did the Macho team help us break the lock (owner drove all the way in from Guelph!!); they were able to get the whole house moved into the container in less than 1.5 hours. Can’t say enough good things about these guys. I needed to move a new 300lb marble vanity up an extremely difficult staircase and I thought there was no way it was going to go. I called Macho Movers and they came out a couple days later. They even managed to get it up the stairs within 30 minutes with only two guys. They moved us from one apartment to another - they don't cover things at the apartment - they do in the truck and at the end of the move it was dark and I believe we lost a box - very important to my husband but when we called to ask about it - were told - oh most people find it in their apartment - no checking - nothing - also a few things were damaged in this move - walls - but our furniture - cracked pieces - and of course this was all realized after we started opening boxes and the furniture - can't come back on them - a shame that a few things were scratched and cracked - were told that - " they treat things like they were their own" - wow good protecting of their own things - not many of the things I was told happened - even a 2 hour delay to get our things - as they had another move in the same day - a little much - since the move the owner called - wanted pictures of damage?

We used Macho Movers about a month ago for our move from Woolwich to Guelph. Kelsey came by to walk through our home and prepare a quote and assured us that the trucks were fully lined, furniture would be protected, etc. She was very friendly and knowledgeable. The guys arrived on the day of the move and were very nice. They had to move an upright piano and it seemed like quite the challenge but they did it. We had a few issues - most of the wardrobe boxes collapsed so our clothes arrived crumpled at the bottom of boxes (we were not charged for the use of the boxes), a garden planter was broken, patio stone on our new front step was damaged under the weight of the piano and needed repaired, and perhaps, most disappointing was the damage to a few pieces of furniture, namely our dining room bench. Our dining set was fairly new and in perfect condition and I noticed a long, deep scratch on the bench the day after the move. There were some deep scratches and a few chips in our childrens' bedroom furniture as well, but the furniture is older and has a few other small marks so this wasn't the end of the world. I contacted Macho Movers two days after our move and sent photos of the damage. I asked if they had any sort of coverage or policies regarding damages. I followed up a month later after no response and received an offer of $50. I declined the offer but wanted to share my experience. Like I said, everyone I worked with was very nice and it was overall a fine move. But I think it would be a good idea to make clients aware of the possibility of damage to furniture and encourage them to wrap their more valuable furniture pieces. I would have also liked to have had a better experience post-move.

From the first visit by Brad to provide a quote, to clarifying details with the office, to the actual move, we were very happy with the level of consideration and care we were shown and the reasonable cost. Brad, Darren and Nick came on time to load the trucks and securely parked the trucks overnight before the trip to Ottawa. They were friendly, professional and communicated with us so we understood specific details. At the Ottawa end, Brad, John and Nick unloaded quickly and carefully and again communicated with us regarding the placement of furniture and boxes. At the end of unloading, we realized something needed to be done at the Guelph house and Nick volunteered to go back to the house when he returned to Guelph and help us resolve it on his own time.
