just wanted to drop a note to you about our move. absolutely fantastic. the move went perfectly without any issues what so ever. these guys work so well together too. they seemed like they had fun and love their work. also, made me less stressed. a great bunch of guys. their supervisor was very organized and the truck was spotless before and after the move. if we ever move again i will use this company!

Seth Zimmerman

They arrived promptly. Dealt with all the packing and wrapping of items. The move was carried out very efficiently. It was friendly and helpful service.

“No to professionalism, no to honesty, no to quality, and fake 5/5 reviews should be their motto. Where do I begin? Inflated invoice? Lost and damaged goods? Lack of responsibility? Oh my god. I chose them for our move from Vancouver to Ottawa because they provided a significantly lower price compared to other companies. In the quote they had provided, were several line items including the full packing service. Below all these lines, there was a total price. Based on this total price, I chose them. Later on when they provided an invoice it was about 40% inflated. I called and asked for the reason they told me that the full packing service was not included in the total price. (??!!!) A salesperson said in an email it was the other salesperson’s mistake. I told them I had planned on their total price and didn’t do the math on the quote and just trusted them and that they should take responsibility for their own mistake. The owner, Mehmet, insisted that I was responsible for recalculating the total as they don’t include full packing in the total price!!!!!!! It may or may not be a way of luring in customers with a lower quote and then forcing them to pay the higher price. After I said I would take legal action, they reduced the invoice significantly. It was still more that the quote provided despite the actual weight was less than the assumed weight in the quote. I accepted this because I feared they might delay our stuff some of which we really needed. My fear was based on their aggressive behaviour at our home in the last day in my absence. They were forcing my wife to sign an invoice while the moving boxes were still in the truck outside our home and had not been weighed and no inventory was done. I made a mistake here. I should have called the cops at that point. When they delivered the items in Ottawa, I made another mistake and signed the paperwork. Later I realized a night stand is missing, the bed is damaged. The bookshelf is damaged. The mattress was not wrapped properly and it was dirty. There was other missing items. When I contacted them, they said as I have signed the paperwork, they consider this case closed and as a courtesy they can follow up but it could take weeks to give me a response. And they don’t take responsibility about the damaged goods. I have moved many many times: In Middle East, Europe and Canada. I had never seen this much irresponsibility and unprofessionalism before.

We hired Homeland Moving to move us from Port Alberni, BC to Ottawa, ON. We arranged to have our house packed up on March 30, 2021, and then it was to be packed onto the truck on March 31, 2021. The crew that showed up was not informed of this by head office and started packing everything on the truck. As we didn't have flights booked until the next day the company offered to put us up in a hotel. We negotiated to have them put the movers in the hotel so we could sleep in our beds/cribs (we have 9-month-old twins). The crew that showed up was also inexperienced and did a careless job of packing and didn't label any of the boxes. The delivery was promised that they would arrive on May 1st and didn't arrive until May 5th. They told us something about a truck not passing government inspection None of our boxes were labelled, things were carelessly packed and the head office staff were rude and didn't care to find solutions to the problems that arose.

Fantastic service, and super friendly. The guys who moved us were next level. From booking and arranging the move, to the process, and afterward - it has been exemplary.

Enes Karakaya

Mehmet and his crew at Your Local Movers went out of their way to complete our move from Vancouver to Nanaimo. Although the truck required for the move had mechanical problems that were beyond their control, they used a smaller truck so that we wouldn't be left high and dry. After storing our remaining belongings, they completed the move on a second day at no additional expense. Top of the line service for sure! Thanks Mehmet

I’m very upset. Although they have asked me to unpack EVERYTHING to start up a damage claim the damage done can NOT be repaired. My heart is broken. Let’s start off with my horrible experience from the begging. They showed up not speaking much English. Okay fine not from around here that’s cool but at least introduce yourself to your customers when you show up to take all belongings away. RUDE. I found this super disrespectful but whatever move along right. The worst part was delivery by far. They show up in a big truck with all belongings mixed in with another customers. Fine whatever sure you know what you are doing for the price we paid. Yea no missing at least one box.... Oops what’s this someone didn’t put the cap on the oil on your truck now we have a driveway COVERED not just a spot but looks like a bomb of oil went off everywhere. Okay okay we all human so hand them a big jug of oil so that THEIR truck wouldn’t be messed up. Yup you are welcome thanks for taking that outta our pocket. Oh what was that I hear!? You dropped some boxes!? Oh my let me see.... Yup my pottery. I spent years collecting from artists all over the island and my pottery kitchen mugs... Oh ouch okay at least my furniture is here and okay. Oh wait it’s all scratched and damaged!? Da hecken what!? I spent so much time building all of that threw high school and College.. my heart, my love, my hard work!!! At this point I’m just so depressed and disappointed we paid so much money to be treated like our belongings were trash. Let us not forget the damage done to our new rental! Corner beads in the drywall busted out, scratches all down the stair way, a light fixture in the ceiling bent and broken. Cigarette butts all over the driveway. We moved here and have a ton of work to do and another move to do next year when we purchase a home. I won’t be making a damage claim and be dealing with this company any further. We paid too much to be treated so disrespectfully. My heart is broken and my soul is sad. I am just to depressed at this point to continue putting in an energy into this. But at least I can take the time to make this very honest review so others do not make the same mistake. Just because they are priced more then other company’s does not mean the service is better. Do your research. I can never replace what was lost in this move. With saying all this it’s time I move on and leave this horrible experience in the past where it belongs. To all making a big move I wish you the best of luck. Hope my review was helpful to you choosing the right company to hire.

Movers were friendly gentlemen who packed and moved at constant pace. No time wasted here.

Just not worth it - get something a little more pricey but someone that will do the job well. It took me a few months to sit down and write this review because I was not looking forward to it. I've moved atleast 10 different cities in my life, across different continents, and this was without doubt the most stressful of them all. First, when they provide a slot, they never commit to a timeframe, or even showing up on that day. I had no idea if my movers would arrive on that day or not - no response from the company. On the day before they were to arrive, company finally answers and tells me they'll be there "between 10:00am and 4pm". I had a flight at 6 and this definitely was a terrible situation to be in. Homeland does not understand that schedules involve 2 people - they just do their own thing without regard for your time or schedule. When the movers arrived (subcontracted to Transcontinental moving & storage), they were in a foul mood. No idea why, but they weren't friendly at all. It was peak covid season and when I asked one of the movers to put his mask back on, he was really irritated (he did as I asked, though). They did not have a good attitude while packing - frequently frustrated and sighing. They would pack all the boxes, take them to the truck without labels, and then label them in the truck, which is ridiculous. You should label them in the house so that you can have the proper count. When I wanted to verify the number of boxes in the truck, they lost their temper again and asked if this was the first time I was moving. Utterly unprofessional. I am paying for this service and I need to know that it's the right number of boxes I'm signing off on - why bother labeling the boxes at all otherwise ? At the destination, same story. They wouldn't tell me when they would come home so I had to take an entire day off from work, not knowing exactly when they would arrive. This side, the movers were friendly up until I asked them to unload the packages before I paid. At this moment the guy in charge almost threatened and bullied me into paying before I even knew if my goods were all there or what condition they were in. He might have his reasons for doing that, but again this just shows the quality of professionalism. They unloaded all my items - along with my table that they broke. They tried to fix it, pretended that it was fixed, and walked away. Luckily for me, it fell apart just as they were walking out the door. I called them back in, and they said, "well, it's 350$ deductible and then it'll be covered". I thought to myself, I might as well put that money into a new table, and let it go. Upon unpacking the boxes, I was dismayed to realize the packers had randomly thrown different items loose into boxes, without regard for weight or structure. There were some items that had emotional value that were very dear to me that can now never be replaced. They overpacked, overstuffed and generally gave zero care to what or how they threw things into boxes. A lot of items were bent or out of shape. Others tore. More than anything, the hassle of having to keep up with them, get reliable information from them, or plan around them, is just not worth it. Look at the other reviews - you'll see a pattern. They'll mention the same things over and over - "Very friendly until I paid the deposit, then they disappear" - this is exactly what happened to me too. "Did not respect my request for timeframe" - absolutely. "As soon as the movers started unpacking I realized the nightmare was just beginning" - oh yeah. When you start opening boxes, that's when you see the damage. The only reason I'm not giving this a 1 star is because all my things arrived, and they were packed & delivered on the promised dates (though I really had to cajole them on the delivery dates). Looking at the positive reviews - it's quite obvious they are not genuine reviews. Click the user and you will see this is the only review they've posted. Look at the images they've posted in the review - those are stock images :) Just avoid the hassle.

I am very disappointed by this company’s service and do not recommend using this company at all. First, this company called me on the day of moving day that a driver of the moving company could not find anyone to help him, so I had to move 95% of my stuff from the front door to the moving track and the driver just stayed in the moving track to organize. Second, the moving track was supposed to be here in the afternoon, but arrived in the evening. Third, the driver did not park our driveway initially even though I asked to park our driveway, so we could move our stuff easily. After I moved a couple of things, he decided to park his truck in our driveway and I had to help him to park his truck. Fourth, He used one box to store some stuff and charged me $90.00. I asked if it was absolutely necessary to use a box, but he did not answer most questions that I asked and did not know why. Six, I am still in the middle of moving and cannot confirm when I can get my stuff to my destination. My stuff was picked on May 24, 2021 and I was told by Christina, move manager, that she had no idea when they could deliver from AB to BC. The company charged by weight and it seems that the company charged more than actual weight in my view. I will keep updated. The driver seemed not professional at all because he needed to help to park in my driveway and was not very organized at all. At least, he did not have any customer service skill at all. To reply, you explained after I mentioned and otherwise you even did not know this had happened. When I talked with your driver, he never mentioned what you said and you were supposed to tell me in advance or at the time you knew if your crew was sick, so it is very difficult to believe what you said. When I talked with your driver, all he said was he could not find anyone… You never mentioned any discount except you charged $90.00 for one box that it was not necessary to use and your driver did not answer any question I asked. If I did not help, he would not finish. He could not even park his truck in my driveway even though I asked him to park. After he saw how much stuff we had, he changed his mind and I had to help him to park his truck. After I moved 95% of all moving stuff, please do not tell me I did not need to help and your driver should have told me. When I asked ETA, you could not tell me anything. Some of our stuff was wet and stinky and my ties got damaged, so I had to throw them away. I am not sure where you stored our stuff. I felt that the driver was very unprofessional and your explanation was not based on fact.

HORRIBLE JUST HORRIBLE! Do yourself and favour and stay far away from this sham of a company. Lost items, damaged items, impossible to contact. They will take your money and disappear. RESPONSE TO COMPANY WRITING FLAGGED AS INAPPROPRIATE What is inappropriate is your lack of customer service and carelessness. Google has not removed this review. Just another tactic by this company.

Christine Souliere

I did a ton of research before choosing Homeland Moving. I contacted over 20 moving companies, and narrowed it down to 3. I had those top 3 choices come to my house to do a consultation. If your reading this, you can understand being extremely skeptical about trusting a moving company with all of your belongings. Here was my experience with Homeland Moving: Mehmet took the time to answer my many questions, he was polite and straight forward, did not hide any information/cost/fine print. Because of that I chose Homeland Moving for our move. The movers that picked up our belongings were professional, nice and moved fast. They loaded our 3 bedroom house in a few hours. They took the time to wrap everything and Mehmet came out to inspect the job which I appreciated. Now the reason this is not a positive review: The movers at the other end were the exact opposite from the movers that loaded our stuff. The were not professional and tried to dump all of our stuff in the entry way of our new home. They argued that “it was not in their contract” to bring the boxes to their designated rooms. They unloaded a 3 bedroom house in 2 hours, with little regard for our belongings. They were gone so fast that I didn’t have the chance to notice we were missing around $800 of our items! Not damaged, not broken…missing! I can’t understand how marked boxes with our names and destination were lost. I contacted Mehmet and was told that we would have to pay $350 to file a claim in order to get back .60 cents on the dollar of the items they lost. We would be out of pocket by paying the $350 claim fee in the hopes of getting back just over $400. Mehmet was professional and courteous in our email exchanges. He wanted to review the numbers and get back to me to offer a solution. His last email to me was a week ago and I’ve since lost patience in trying to remedy the situation and have accepted that we will never get back our stuff or be compensated for the loss. I’m giving a fair and accurate review of the service. Was it terrible? No. Would I recommend them to a friend? No. A company should be responsible for the third party contractors they hire and although I understand there are a lot of logistic and moving parts to a long distance move I don’t believe the accountability in losing $800 of our items was there.

Outstanding customer service from start to finish. Quote was accurate and everything was picked up and delivered as such. Thanks for making the move for us simple, easy and successful!

Michelle Knobel

Thanks for making our recent move as stress free as moving can be. Our movers were professional and great to work with and thanks to them for dropping off our boxes so quickly. Booking was also very simple with online quotes and booking system. Would highly recommend for all your moving needs!

sonia LORE

Two great guys moved our stuff efficient and very careful with all our belongings. Highly recommend!

Cheyenne Kyle

I was anxious about moving, I had never used a moving company before, but the Homeland team along with my relocation coordinator made it a smooth experience. The crew was punctual and friendly. They even helped me disassemble my bed! All in all, I would definitely recommend Homeland Moving to anyone looking to move in Calgary.

Scott J. Miller

I moved last week and they were both very professional and efficient. Very friendly and made the process stress fee. I would 100% book them again for any future moves!

Bruce Johnson

They took great care of my things which I greatly appreciate. I will highly recommend this company from now on and will definitely use them again in the future.

Tannaz E

I'd give them a "0" if I could. Here is why: 1. It took them 5 weeks to deliver our furniture from Vancouver, BC to Seattle (no boarder restrictions and only 120 miles). 2. They charged per volume and not per weight! So we ended up paying twice their original quote! 3. They lost our new queen size $1,200 mattress and compensated only $300 after multiple phone calls and follow ups.

Markus Smolny

Homeland moved us from a two-storey house to a smaller house in town this Sunday and we were very impressed with their service. We had some large, heavy furniture that needed to be carried down two flights of stairs and they did it with no fuss or bother. The three guys who did the move were friendly and polite and were very careful with our furniture. The whole exercise took much less time than we had thought it would take and was much less stressful. Well done!

Olivia Laing

Last minute I called to arrange a move for the next day. From the sales representative to the operation representative who confirms with me what time the driver and truck will come, they make it very easy for me. My next day's crew arrived on time, packed and loaded my two bedrooms in three hours! I'm not sure what I would have done without there help and I regret not booking with them from the start. I would have saved myself unnecessary stress and worries. I'll highly recommend them to anyone who's looking for movers. Thank you.

Amber Contreras

Three very nice guys who moved more furniture than we anticipated when we received our initial quote. We also had to do an additional stop for them to pick up the additional furniture. They did an excellent job in wrapping the furniture with plenty of cloth and exercised extreme care with our furniture and belongings. I would recommend these guys to anybody who is moving in the area!

Craig Brearley

We used Homeland Moving on Sunday 27th October and could not be happier. The entire process was smooth and efficient from head office confirming the move details, finally the two crew on the day of the move. The move required multiple pickups and drop off locations - most with no lift and a narrow staircase. The guys didn’t complain once, got stuck in and literally ran up and down the stairs. No time-wasting or breaks - they just went non stop. Would highly recommend and will definitely be using them again in the future.

Karin Allen

We've used these guys a couple of times now and they've been great each time, punctual and professional. Today, they just moved us out of a 3rd story flat with no lift and they did a great job of moving our stupidly heavy sofa down a tricky stairwell. Lovely guys and genuinely helpful! Would recommend!

Marcus Mccoy

I could have gone with any of the other cheaper companies but I choose Homeland Moving because of their great reputation. My decision to use this company eventually paid off. They completed the entire moving process smoothly, within the given time and within my budget. Not a single piece was damaged or lost. In short – it was a picture perfect move. This is a great moving company.

Marie Bossy

Terrible company, terrible move. I moved from Vancouver to Quebec end of May. My biggest complaint is that there was a lot of damage to my furniture and belongings as my load kept getting transferred from truck to truck. There was no response or help from the office to either fix gouges they made to my furniture, breaking pewter handles on my dresser or lost items. They just want your money and then disappear! Absolutely worst movers I ever had and I have moved a family of 8 all over North America.

Paul Niedziela

I have had 7 major moves with other companies and no one has been this bad. They broke many of my items and then blamed it on me for bad packing. I don't see how I could have "packed" a solid wood desk that came back with a complete side ripped off. They also packed heavy items on top of boxes marked fragile. When they opened the truck to deliver the goods, some of the boxes on the bottom had been crushed to nearly 50% of their height. There was no care at all to put lighter boxes on top - they did whatever was quickest. In addition, the driver told me that they didn't have room for all my items and that they would be coming later. When I contacted the head office to get more information, they didn't acknowledge any undelivered items and said I had to figure it out for myself.

Susan Macdonald

Great service, super easy to book and very affordable priced. Realyy saved us a ton of time and effort on moving day

Juliet Downey

Really excellent company. Having moved just two years ago with another company and having a horrendous experience, I was very nervous about moving again. But, these guys were efficient, careful and thorough and packed the whole house, not just the kitchen! We are so grateful and would highly recommend it.

Alan Thompson

We booked the movers a couple of months before we moved. Received email a couple of days before ensuring everything was still on. On the actual day, the three guys and their truck turned up on the time requested. The move was from my point of view painless and accomplished efficiently. We did have 120 kilo lounge to move. The three guys were pleasant and worked well as team. My wife and I were really happy with the whole experience and have no problem recommending this moving company.

Jill Kleovoulos

Avoid at all costs. Completely unprofessional and verging on illegal practices. Chose any other moving company.

Li Wei Lee

I can't recommend Homeland Moving enough! Firstly, this was a very difficult move for me personally as I was finally clearing out my family's belongings furniture out of their flat in downtown. The building was very difficult to access and I need the flat and garage contents all to be moved to new place. It was a huge physical day for both the movers and they never stopped and never complained. Yesterday they started right on time early in the morning here and finally finished before 6 pm - and called me to tell me everything was OK. My stepfather was so impressed and happy too and couldn't speak highly enough on they were gentle and efficient in packing everything way in our home garage- and again this was a very emotional move for him too. They 2 guys were so professional, hard working - and nothing for them was a problem. I have moved many times in my life but never as smoothly and painlessly as this. I can't thank and recommend them and Mehmed enough - and the price was excellent too! It's my pleasure to write a review to you. Thanks to all your team.

My wife has shared her review on this place, but I will double down on the absolutely horrible costumer service this company has. I was yelled at and bad mouthed by the lady at the “call centre” or dispatch. We also have reason to believe they use fake reviews to pump their business score. They are now trying to dispute our reviews on other sites saying that we never used their services but we have all emails, invoices, text messages saved. We hired Homeland Moving to move us from Port Alberni, BC to Ottawa, ON. We arranged to have our house packed up on March 30, 2021, and then it was to be packed onto the truck on March 31, 2021. This is the 2nd time I have used this company. Excellent service and value, so easy to book and communicate also.

Maria Demare

Do not hire this company is you want peace of mind and security in your move. I booked an international move with this company. After paying a non refundable $750usd deposit, they informed me of a 5 day window (right up until my move in date) and said they would provide me with 24/h notice as to which of these 5 days they would arrive to pick up my things. I was shocked because this is an international move. I both needed to provide my new building managers with an exact move-in date and also needed to travel several thousands of km with pets in tow to arrive at my destination. I told them I needed more than 24 hours notice because I had a move to plan. They danced around my request for 2 weeks. Finally, less than a week before my scheduled move after promising me a date in their previous correspondence, they said they wouldn't be able to give me a date and time until 48 hours before the window they'd offered me, but assured me that their dispatch was on schedule and they would confirm my booking time on Monday. I contacted them immediately expressing my dissatisfaction, telling them I couldn't continue to wait for pickup confirmation (bc trying to coordinate an international move without communication or organization on the part of your movers is absolutely chaotic). Within the hour that I contacted them to express my frustration with the unprofessional customer service, they left me a voice-mail (a voice-mail!) canceling my move (4 days before the window for pickup that they'd offered). They said they could no longer accommodate a custom move (there had been no mention of this being a custom move to date). This was less than an hour after they sent me an email saying their movers were on schedule. I was left scrambling, as all other international movers are now booked solid for the next two months. I had to cancel my flights and rent a uhaul and have a hitch installed + will now have to drive my pets down the coast. This company is unreliable, unprofessional, and have caused me an overwhelming amount of stress. They informed me that they refunded my deposit, but the refund has still not been reflected on my statement and they have yet to provide the requested documentation. Do not book this company if you want peace of mind. They're expensive, unprofessional, and wholly unreliable.

rebecca wissink

This company is only efficient and pleasant to deal with until they get your $400 non-refundable deposit. After that, they are suddenly very busy and not very helpful, to put it nicely. The problems started as soon as the movers arrived to pick up my belongings - my quote did not match theirs in terms of an extra charge for a "long-carry" inside the apartment building. The movers also refused to take five pieces of furniture without extra charges for extra protection and padding - and this will be important later in the story! Of course, none of this was discussed with me previously, so they basically trapped me into these extra charges as I had to move my items. I did not hear from Homeland for weeks. One reason I chose the company is they had one of the potentially shortest delivery date ranges - DO NOT BELIEVE THEM! I was told between 12-20 calendar days. On day 15 I contacted the company because I had not been advised of the shipments final weight, or when the shipment was expected in Ontario (which triggers the final payment and arrangement to your final address). For the next three days, I got the run-around with emails and phone calls and excuses about how busy the company was. On day 22 when I still had not been given any information, I got assertive with the company and they miraculously found my goods within hours. And the problem became clear - they wouldn't admit it, but they lost my shipment. It ended up in Ottawa, not Toronto, and had likely been sitting there for some time as all of sudden they could magically deliver it the next day, if only I would pay. Remember - at this point I have been asking them for about a week for my final total and the location of my shipment. The next email I got suggested I was refusing to pay and that was holding up the delivery of my goods, despite an email days earlier saying they could charge the cost to the credit card on file! Of course, the movers did not respect my request for a certain time frame, but not only that they showed up almost one hour early. They called me at 3:08 saying they were a half hour away, and then called again at 3:17 to say they were in front of my house. For a 4-8 pm delivery time slot. I was not home and had to leave my class in a rush to attend to them. Homeland also showed up early to pick up my goods - twice the company displayed zero respect for my schedule. as soon as the movers started unpacking it was clear the nightmare with this company was only beginning. Most of my boxes were damaged - two to the point they were broken open. There as a visible footprint in dirt ON TOP of one of my containers. They broke my mirrored nightstand - one of the items I paid extra for multiple layers of protection at the insistence of the pick-up movers. They lost the legs to my dining room table, and lost two chairs. Needless to say, I was angry and called/emailed the company immediately. I was rushed off the phone by Adam who told me to put in a claim so that Homeland could deal with my issues. Homeland's idea of dealing with my concerns was to deny my claim within hours - they offered three points as to why they believe they are not responsible for the damaged and missing items that were in their care, two of which I have refuted as blatantly incorrect (one centres on the fact I did indeed pay extra for additional protection of the goods). At this time, they have not even responded to my last email nor have they actually provided the paltry $150 offered as an apology in lieu of good customer service. That amount will come nowhere close to replacing the items I can't use or did not receive, that I have paid the company to move. In short, I believe Homeland has failed to deliver my shipment as it was picked up. The company is also not giving me any indication they are even looking for my lost goods. I myself have found people through the FB page that might have had shipments on the same truck as my goods, to no avail so far.

Had a wonderful experience working with Homeland Moving for our move from Calgary to Houston. They were able to schedule our move on time. Really satisfied with their services.

Celia Strong

Absolutely avoid at all costs. So many sketchy things. 1. They don't disclose they use multiple subcontractors, so you don't know who is picking your stuff up and dropping it off. When I called and asked what companies they worked with, the guy on the phone said he didn't know and would call me back, he never did. They purposely avoid telling you the subcontractor names. 2. I got a $1700-ish quote for a one-bedroom apartment move from Victoria BC to Calgary. Was charged just over $2600. $555 "packing fee" for literally 4 boxes that I probably didn't even need. One of two of the guys was on his phone with a friend for 45 minutes on MY BED while the other guy was working and waiting for him. He insinuated that if I didn't sign the packing fee form, that they wouldn't take my stuff. 3. Dropping it off, let's just say, I own one TV, and ended up with TWO, and a large expensive-looking acrylic painting that certainly wasn't mine. When I noticed their error after they left, I called the next day to let dispatch know. The guy on the phone said it was because they were tired from delivering all day. One, that’s not really an excuse, two, it was 8:30 in the morning, and I was their first stop. 4. They use fake google reviews. Seriously, look at their reviews. They’re all bots. Look at the reviews that have pictures, put them into google reverse image search, and boom: they’re all over the internet. All the accounts only have one review, for THIS company. For a company that seemingly cares about their reputation so much to pay for fake positive google reviews, you’d think they actually wanted to do a good job. Not take the lazy route. TLDR: If you care about your money, belongings, and sanity, do NOT choose this company. It seems like they are disputing the bad reviews, so I can provide proof of the quotes and extra boxes if someone wants them.

This team of movers really know how to get things done. They were extremely helpful and courteous. They gave me zero push back when I asked them to assemble 2 bed frames and a baby crib. I highly recommend this team.

Homeland moving was a great experience. Mehmet personally assured everything is going as planned. Movers were kind and very hard working. Everything arrived in one piece. For the price and quality, I would recommend to anyone moving long distance

Fake Reviews: Hi, I was in the process of obtaining quotes and checking the ratings of different moving companies that I stumbled upon this one. Their ratings are extremely polarized and either 5 out of 5 or 1 out of 5. There's a chance that most of these 5 out of 5 ratings are fake.

It is been over a year since I moved from Vancouver to Calgary using this company's service. Summarizing my experience with them, it was terrible. They lost my bike and a piece of luggage with most of my clothing and other valuable items; I managed to get a replacement bike after filing a complaint with BBB but never my luggage. If you end up hiring these guys (based on reviews that do not seem genuine to me), make sure not to sign anything till after you carefully went through your stuff for missing or damaged items. They have a system where they make false claims to get you to sign the delivery report. Anyway, I decided to write this review today because I was about to spend another 100 dollars to replace another item I lost to their service.

Terrible Service! DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY! They literally DEMANDED payment up front before unloading our items and said they would drive off with all our items if we didn't pay them, items which were 6 weeks LATE and that we weren't even sure were in the moving truck. In fact, the one guy was yelling at us so loud to pay them before they would unload, that two neighbours came out to see what the commotion was all about! Do yourself a favour and hire someone else. You'll live longer without the stress.

I would not recommend this company to anyone. We booked on a Thursday for a pickup on Monday; on Friday a family emergency came up and we were forced to cancel until the foreseeable future. When contacted on Friday about the cancellation they replied within a few hours and said they could stop the pickup and save it for a later date, but that cancelling was not an option as we already paid the $800 NON REFUNDABLE deposit. which i would understand if I was told BEFORE paying the deposit. The man on the phone who I booked through never gave any indication the $800 deposit was non refundable. So now for the last couple days I've been trying to contact customer support about this issue and have been completely ignored. They did not cancel the pick up on the Monday either, people still showed up despite the information they gave us saying they would at-least move it to another date. So now I am forced to write this review so I can hopefully save one person from going through this shady company. DO NOT GO THROUGH THEM, any company that takes your money and then ignores the last 3 emails you sent including one asking for a manager, when they had no issue responding within minutes after asking to book is completely disgusting company behaviour. Will update my review after this issue is dealt with. IF I ever hear back from someone that is.

Stay away from this company at all costs. Unreliable. They damage furniture and don't take responsibility for it

Tried moving international (US to Canada) with them but they are really not great at communication. Moving guys showed up unannounced with no prior calls and couldn’t pack my things because they weren’t told by dispatch that they needed to. I called, and called, and called seeking some amount of information with no response. It took me over ten(10) calls just to get through to someone and find out they had little to no power to change anything for me. I ended up just canceling all together because another company agreed to give me a better deal and seemed far more responsive.
