We transported several unique items from the airport – porcelain for my collection came from Spain. GetMovers granted me a qualitative moving with full insurance coverage. Well, they met all requirements. Helpers used separate containers for each product. We put several layers of shrink and blankets to avoid scratches or damages. The truck driver also seemed responsible. I got my parcels in full safety.

I called get movers to get a quote on a very simple, small move; this move would require no more than 1.5 hours to be done, as I was moving just around the corner. The individual on the phone told me the minimum payment they accept is $475. If you're hoping to hire a mover and plan to spend over $500 then these guys are the guys for you! Otherwise - stay away, it is a waste of time

We were waiting for the agreement with the apartment seller and couldn’t move to our new home at once. GetMovers suggested to us their climate control storage for all properties. It was a great decision – a ventilated warehouse was equipped for storing furniture, blankets, and clothes, so none of them were wet or damaged somehow. We got our boxes in full safety, without any scratches. They also provide full insurance coverage, so you can easily get compensation. However, there was o need for such an option.

The truck they sent was too small for a three bedroom apartment so most of our furniture didn't fit. The guys were nice and worked hard but were visibly tired and slow, arrived two hours late. I don't think other companies are much better in Halifax, we tried 10 moving companies get movers actually answered the phone. Moving in Halifax is not a fun experience

DO NOT HIRE THESE MOVERS, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY. This was the WORST company and the WORST customer service I have EVER encountered, so much so that I am going out of my way to write a bad review. If I could leave 0 stars, I would. They did not even bother to show up for the move after it was confirmed with an order number and confirmed over the phone three times. I waited several hours into the evening when they were supposed to show up at 4pm. I called at 4:15 wondering where they were and was told they were on the way and they'd be shortly and they'd call me back soon. They never called back. They never answered any of my phone calls that evening either. Eventually (shortly after 8pm, after hours of trying) we got through (because we used someone else's phone), and after a meaningless apology, was told they would be coming at 9am the next day (the 30th). This was already unacceptable as even the bed was already disassembled and we had nowhere to go for the night, and were now afraid that we were not going to be out of the apartment on time when the moving out deadline was at noon (12pm) on the 30th. I was not able to be present when the movers showed up because of their unprofessional tardiness, so they took that chance to rack on as many charges as possible. After being quoted $525.00 + hst, we were hit with a $1,242.00 bill. After being ignored, dismissed and panic ridden, we were charged with more than double of what was quoted. I am still in shock. They also have not answered any of my phone calls when I am trying to dispute this, neither the direct line or the customer service line. I would not be surprised if they made it a point to stop answering my number when it calls. I still cannot believe what HORRIBLE service they offer to the public. They will take advantage of absolutely anyone. DO NOT HIRE

At 4.9 stars I thought this was an easy choice. On the day of my move, movers were 2 hours late. I called, emailed, and text for over an hour and didn't hear anything back. When they finally did call back, one person said there was a problem with a truck. A second person called and said someone was sick and they didn't call in. When they arrived, one of the movers said they were a friend of the owner there to help out for the day. I told them that the couch I had would have to go out the back door, which would be one more flight of stairs, because it was nearly impossible to get it out the front door. Without even looking or measuring the front door, they immediately picked up the couch and bombed down the front entrance stairs with it. They then spent the next two hours (at $119+ tax per hour) taking the doors off the house and desperately trying to get the couch out the front. They also charged me for the time it took to travel to and from my house, adding another hour to my bill. The couch now has a chunk taken out of it from squeezing it out the front door. They were 2 hours late and it cost me about $410 more because they didn't know what they were doing. I emailed afterwards and at the very least I should have been refunded for the extra hour that they charged for travel time, which it says on the email is not part of the charge. They didn't answer me.

We spoke to other moving companies in Halifax. Everyone told us they’ve heard nothing but stories about customers being scammed by this pretend moving company. You people are disgusting!

I have used Get Mover on multiple occasions. The most recent was moving my house, even at short notice Dominique was able to book me in at my preferred time and date. The guys arrived exactly on time, and were supper efficient fitting everything in a truck while taking great care. The price was also very reasonable. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend these movers to anyone. Keep up the great work!
