We used Fergusson to move from Vancouver to Kelowna in December 2020. From the beginning, the company was the most responsive of all companies we contacted. Quinn quickly managed to schedule a visit for an on site estimation. He provided us used boxes for free, and once we realized we would need more, he promptly dropped off more boxes and tape. They loaded the truck in the morning, and it took some time because the disassembled the furniture and wrapped every furniture on blankets. They had to change the time for the arrival of the truck at the new place, but called me in advance to let me know. Everything was placed where we indicated, and furniture was carefully assembled. Nothing was broken, there were no scratches on furniture, all good. It wasn't the cheapest quote I got, but definitely worth it. I had heard of so many companies that provide a quote and when they deliver they argue that it was heavier, bla, bla, bla, and charge you more than estimated. Because they have everything in their truck, you have no option but to pay the difference. There are no surprises with Fergusson. I definitely recommend the company.

I have used Ferguson Moving & Storage Ltd. twice: once for an in-town move and once to move to a different town. Both experiences were good. The movers were efficient, polite and appeared to know what they were doing. My pieces of furniture were carefully wrapped and arrived in the same condition they left my previous home. I used Frogboxes both times so my belongings were packed by me before the movers arrived. This gave me control over where boxes were put in my new home, and which boxes had the items I needed first. The Frogboxes are easily stacked and moved. I recommend Ferguson Moving & Storage Ltd. as a company that is proud of the good service they provide.

Superb experience!!! Last minute changes and were still able to make the changes and still delivered. I needed profesional movers for bringing my uhaul loaded from US into Vancouver. I drove myself across the border , encounter a snow storm and was late . Even after planning to be there 9 am, late at night , I called and change the time for 12 noon, because of weather problems, I couldn't get across. They were able to help me change the time of arrival , within 12 hr notice, due to my negligence and still able to offload all my stuff from my truck within a reasonable time. Once I arrived, they were there waiting for me , ready to bring everything in. Tbh, after driving , I didn't want to touch anything. They took care of business! Brough everything in, careful and I felt taken care of. This just shows what a well oil machine they are running over there! Props to managers/owner for this. Will definitely use again.

I moved with them in November. They were very expensive and I assumed they would be good. They considerably damaged/ destroyed some furniture . A bicycle literally fell off the truck twice while they were loading it in a container. When I asked to file an insurance claim for the items (we paid a lot for insurance ) they basically refused to send me the paperwork. Essentially you pay a massive premium to have your stuff insured and but it’s a scam and they won’t let you file a claim after they damage your things . Ferguson isn’t worth the premium you’ll pay for them.

Then on the day of the move they arrived on time and very organized. Everything went super smoothly. Ferguson Moving & Storage came to my home to give me a free estimate with a very friendly and professional move manager. I love how they assign a move manager to you and tell you the cost up front so you have no surprises when you pay your bill. The last moving company I used ended up charging me a lot of extra money (the cheap price wasn’t such a great deal in the end!) My condo was quite a ways from the entrance to the building which they didn’t allow time for and my storage locker wasn’t easily accessible for their truck. Definitely stick to a company like Ferguson Moving & Storage that is professional and does their homework so you don’t get dinged at the end!

This is the second time we’ve used Ferguson for a move and they’ve been great again. They were able to come out and quote within 24 hours of me contacting them, and then moved us the following week after squeezing us in to meet our timeline. The packing service was great and the move went smoothly, despite an elevator issue they had to deal with. The team was friendly and professional and everything arrived safely, with the exception of one glass and a small scratch to one table. They came out to review and fix those issues within a week. Overall I’d strongly recommend Ferguson and would definitely use their full services again.

My experience with Ferguson started out positive and helpful and then slowly devolved into a lack of customer service and disorganization. Although pricey, we went with Ferguson because they seemed reputable and Quinn (our sales rep who was very attentive when trying to close this sale) explained that the high price was representative of the level of service we would be getting. The overall move went smoothly as planned - we had to move twice and keep our items in Ferguson storage in the interim) However a piece was damaged in the move (things happen, we totally understand) and they took it back to their warehouse in an attempt to fix the item, and then we didn't hear from them for over a month. I had to contact them multiple times for an update and was finally notified that the item couldn't be fixed and they would offer some reimbursement. I then had to chase them for a number on the reimbursement amount and also to get the piece back they tried to fix. Our sales rep Quinn was nowhere to be found and still has not responded to my email after many days. I write this as I wait for our delivery of the broken item that they scheduled for a 10 am delivery and we are now two hours out from that time. After contacting the office the response was "the driver will call when they're on their way" Which means I'm expected to sit home and wait for this delivery with no window of time or update as to when this will arrive. We have another move planned next month for a small job and unfortunately, we will not be working with Ferguson again. If you have the bandwidth to follow up multiple times and the actual time to wait for them to get back to you should anything go wrong- you shouldn't have a problem working with them.

I have my storage locker on the third floor, no elevator and they never complained. If I move again, Ferguson will get a call from me.

I think most of these moving services are unprofessional and pain in the neck. This one is no different. During my initial interaction with the folks here they were super helpful and friendly, fast on delivering quotes and doing video calls for estimating. But things change from the time the movers step in to pick up your stuff. My stuff is still in transit and I am pretty sure these guys will bring it damaged after this review. Don't believe what they have to say, people leave on vacation or sick leave and the new folks have no help to offer. NOT RECOMMENDED, STAY AWAY if you want to save your time and energy and your hard earned money

Greg and his team are amazing! I had them pack my kitchen, breakables, pictures and mirrors. All of our possessions were well taken care of, put in the right place in our new home and treated as their own. I was most impressed with Greg and his honest attitude which was reflected in his employees. Great team work was at play for a full two day move! I got an immediate response to my inquiry and shortly thereafter was scheduled to have Jim come by and take a look at our pods and give an estimate for our move. He was very communicative and responsive to my questions and we agreed on three movers to help with the sorting of things left over from my flood. The three men who showed up or incredible. Their care in wrapping everything and inspecting everything was extraordinary. They were open to questions, and worked collaboratively with each other and with us for the smoothest move we've ever had! We would definitely use Ferguson again, hopefully no time soon! ???? While it did seem like they were slow to start and they were pretty costly, these movers were definitely worth it in the end. 30 minutes in the first part of the move, they really picked up speed, quickly catching on to what should move and what should stay. They also took great care to properly wrap everything, which was much appreciated. I also appreciated that they all wore masks, which was something I was kind of worried about before they arrived (quite a few other companies I looked into didn't seem to be doing this despite being in a pandemic). By the time it came to unpacking at my new place, they went above and beyond to ensure I could get everything into the condo. Especially the sofa, where they offered to walk it eight flights! (Though, thankfully, we found a better solution that wouldn't be so hard on them.) Overall, great service! I'm sure my family will continue to use them in future moves.

I booked this move well ahead of time and took dates that were not my first choice. Of the three moving companies I met with, they were by far the most expensive, but the sales rep assured me the services were superior. First of all, they didn't show up when they said they would. I had neighbours who were keeping parking spaces available for the moving truck who could not wait. I called both the company line and the sales rep and nobody called me back until after the truck arrived 45 minutes later. One of the movers was on his phone all day. He used my bathroom and left a mess all over the toilet seat - and I don't mean a little trickle. I texted the company to advise and got a "thanks, I'll tell someone else." reply. When they arrived the next day, I had no idea when they would arrive, and again, nobody from the moving company called to give me an ETA. It had poured rain overnight, and when the boxes were brought in, it became immediately apparent that the moving truck at a leak because many of the boxes were soaked through, and full of water when I opened them up and took things out. So far, I have found two items broken. One I saw the mover drop in the truck, the other is a bedside table that is part of a set. The mover had put it in place, and when I moved it a bit it tipped over because the back leg was completely broken off. To add insult to injury, I got notification tonight through email that they had processed final payment for them move, again without a call or a word to me to find out how I felt, as the customer, that things went. Abysmal communication from this company. Don't trust their rosy sales pitch, the service I received was definitely sub-standard.

Everyone involved in the moving were more than professionals they were also friendly. From day 1 (the visit) to the time we were done with the whole move, they were thorough. I'm used to be stressed out during a move, small or big (this time it was a small move inside Vancouver, B.C.), but with the team provided and the amount of details and effort they put on handling everything, it was honestly the most relaxed move I ever had. These guys handled everything with care as if they owned everything, and did I mentioned they were really friendly? I would recommend Ferguson moving to everyone! I did find I had to micro manage a bit since our move wasn't straight forward (our things had to be held for a few nights before moving into the next place). But all in all a very good experience!! I had an estimate for moving my house to Nanaimo. I felt a little pressured as it was a busy time of the year June. I secured the estimate with a deposit of 5000.00 dollars. On review of other prices I called them back and asked for an explanation as they were about 6000 dollars over any other estimate I got. They did not try to bring the price to a reasonable cost and played the “best service” line. Well I asked for the deposit back and was charged 100 dollars admin fee. On this quote I was doing the packing so to charge 13000 dollars for a move to Nanaimo is totally unreasonable. I went with another North Vancouver local well established Movers for 6000 cheaper. I do not recommend this company.

From the first meeting with James, the leader of our move to the last unpacking of boxes and hooking up my computer James was there to troubleshoot if needed and the staff were courteous, friendly and efficient and each one knew their role and they made it seem so effortless. Excellent professional move. Elijah and Gary did a first-rate job of assessing what needed to be moved from our house to our new location in a nearby condo. They wrapped dishes, paintings, pictures, and mirrors, and then boxed them. They wrapped every piece of furniture and prepared for the move. The move took place in record time, and even faster when their colleague Max showed up part way into the unloading process. Everything ended up where it was intended with furniture unwrapped and placed in rooms. In summary, Ferguson Moving and Storage and their staff are total professionals. When it comes to first world problems that are few issues that are worse than moving. Ferguson not only beat competitors prices but delivered on quality. I am a particular person and ALL demands were met with a smile. The red carpets they laid down prior to entry protected the hardwood in the new home and they picked up the boxes no more than a day after I called. Management is doing something right over there. It is nice to see that “customer service” means something again.

Their estimate was right bang on, they were always on time and they dealt with weird items (like a giant unpackable mirror) with no fuss or angst. Ferguson movers moved us to Kamloops from Coquitlam. We were very happy with how efficient and helpful they were!! We also liked how there was no hidden fees and all the guys were great! A bit pricey but we knew it would be because we were moving out of town. It was well worth it! They moved us over two days, first day about five guys loaded up the truck and a couple of the guys drove the truck to Kamloops and next day unloaded and placed everything in our new home all in the correct rooms. Nothing was broken, the guys wrapped everything well that they packed. We would highly recommend using Ferguson movers! Worth the money and way less stressful to have them move us instead of us doing it ourselves. All around pleasant experience! Thanks so much!!

Further to my previous review regarding my move from Vancouver to the Sunshine Coast 6 weeks ago, Fergusons Moving and Storage has still not attempted to reimburse or repair my damaged, scratched, and broken items. My emails have all gone unanswered, and my phone calls are either not answered or returned, or , when I have succeeded in getting through to him, I am promised action by the GM that never transpires. For a small number of items, he could have quickly and easily dealt with my concerns in good faith. Instead, I am left to contact him week after week to no avail. Our movers were professional, courteous, and worked very quickly! Everything was delivered to our new home with no damage, within a reasonable time. Even with complications, such as the maintenance elevator not being locked for the move and no office staff on site to do so, they got the job done with patience and good humour. They have also facilitated my parents' move just a few weeks prior, and they are very satisfied with their work! Our only qualm ended up being with communication. We rented some Frogbox equipment to facilitate our move, and took advantage of the deal they have with Ferguson. We had boxes and a DIY Container Dolly, which was of great help to us with moving our larger non-furniture items from the car to the new apartment. However, after the movers left, we discovered that they had mistakenly taken that dolly with them! We called immediately and were told that they would work ASAP to get the dolly back to us. However, we did not receive the dolly until three days later, less than an hour before Frogbox was scheduled to pick up their rented equipment. Our calls and texts were either returned with confirmations that certain people were working to return the dolly ASAP or not returned at all. Considering that the business is currently listed as open 24 hours a day, this was very confusing. Ultimately, we had to move the rest of our belongings without the dolly, which was a lot of heavy work. We do understand that, being done on a weekend at the end of the month, there are many moves happening at once, and resources can be limited. It was overall an innocent error! Even so, this error, coupled with the spotty communication, meant more heavy lifting for us than we planned for. We are satisfied with the service of the move in general, but based on our experience, communication may not be at a satisfying level and we hope that they improve.

Super worth it to dodge the hassle and save time. They sent an appraiser over to evaluate the space and type of items requiring special assistance, provided free boxes. They were able to move over thirty boxes at 1030am, and wree done by 130, just incredible. Only two items dented, nbd. Managed to cram my 8-ft couch through a 7-ft high doorway in less than 15 minutes. Movers were quick and efficient, and polite. Highly recommended! Also they will take the boxes back when you're done with them.

I phoned Ferguson moving earlier this month to book them for a local move . Ferguson moving doesn't do moves by an hourly rate, they come to your place to look at your stuff and give you an estimate. So, I booked an estimate with Ferguson. After waiting a week for my appointment their estimator showed up 20 minutes late. After looking around I was told I'd have my estimate e-mailed to me later that afternoon. I never received my estimate that Friday afternoon. I phoned them on Monday, they took my name and number and was told somebody would get back to me. Nobody did. Wednesday I phoned back again and spoke to someone else who told me they would get the estimator to call me, and that he himself would call me back later that day. Neither of them ever got back to me. In fact, I never did hear back from Ferguson moving at all. By this time other moving companies were filling up their availability, and I just consider myself lucky to have found a different moving company to do my move. If you're moving I recommend you call anyone EXCEPT Ferguson moving.

I had a very complicated moving situation, had to change the destination of the move during transit, and Ferguson was extremely accommodating in helping me get my stuff where I needed it. Since it had already reached the original destination, I had to pay for a second move, but they still gave me a discounted rate on the first one and on the second as well! All my things arrived in good working order and it was extremely easy to follow their system to make sure I had everything. For long distance moves they contract Great Canadian Van Lines but everyone was extremely friendly and professional, from the movers at my home to the truck driver at my new destination. He got everything unloaded in under 45 minutes! The agent assigned to my move at Ferguson was Shaz and I highly recommend him, he was extremely helpful and considerate, as well as professional. My partner and I are just at the stage in life where we don't want to move ourselves anymore - been there, done that, for a decade+ now. So with our latest move we hired Ferguson - and we have absolutely NO regrets. If you don't keep reading, just know that it's worth every penny! The 2 movers who arrived (moving a 1 bedroom apt) were really friendly and professional - I got to chatting with one and he mentioned how well Ferguson treats their movers. That's always an incredible thing to hear! They arrived on time, packed up the boxes and dismantled the furniture with no issues. On the other side they reversed the process and we were settled by the afternoon. Truly effortless. Also interesting to note that a few friends of ours also recently moved and both went with You Move Me because they provided a cheap quote. But after the move date the final bill came in - in both cases - much higher than quoted... and what could they do about it then? For one pal the final price was literally higher than a Ferguson quote they had also happened to get pre-move! So be wary of cheap quotes that aren't guaranteed. With Ferguson we knew what the full price was, and budgeted accordingly. I also learned You Move Me didn't provide my friends with in-person/video quotes, they just asked for a general inventory of their stuff. Ferguson came and did an in person quote so I felt confident they knew exactly what to expect on move day, and that's certainly what it felt like. I say all of this because we weren't sure if we'd regret going with a higher priced move - but in the end these stories confirmed we had made the right choice. Thanks Ferguson!

You need anything moved no matter what it is there is a good chance they can do it. They will wrap, box and protect your items. You don’t need to do anything but tell them what you would like done. Firm Quote despite last-minute changes. On time. Crew was efficient, careful, cheerful, and easy to communicate with. Entire move went perfectly from start to finish: you could probably find a cheaper moving company, but you'll pay for it in the end. The Ferguson crew packed/wrapped and moved antiques, large mirrors, and glass framed artworks down 3 sets of stairs without a chip, nick, or scratch. They also moved a heavy, awkward, beastly, half-alive exercise bike down a steep ladder from a loft area: wish we had videotaped that bit of all-hands wizardry! Our move co-ordinator was patience personified and came by during the move to make sure everything was going well. This is the second move they have done for our family, and both were excellent experiences.

I had forgotten to finally leave a review as it was 3 months ago now that I moved. A 5 star review is not enough for Ferguson Moving. They deserve no less than 6 out of 5 stars. I've moved too much recently, 3 times in years. There's no one else I would trust more to secure and move everything and work with. My family has been using Ferguson's and only Ferguson's for over 20 years, even to move up to a 4500 square foot house of contents. Austin, Brad and Sophiana, or Sophiyana, (hopefully either spelling is correct!) were the best. They take their job seriously, have a strong sense of loyalty and commitment to the client(s). The sad reality that most people don't realize is that most moving companies are non insured, non registered "businesses" that recruit addicts that are payed by cash. People would be horrified if they knew how other moving "companies" operated. I've heard horror stories from friends and family companies that held their contents "hostage" demanding more money upon delivery to the new home. Or meth heads with hardly any teeth. Ferguson's has been based in Vancouver for decades, with fully licensed, insured, bondable employees. A picture of their moving truck on the Lions Gate Bridge around the 1940s or 50s is in the paperwork that is provided by an estimator. Juville has been our estimator for years and are glad that she's still with the company all these years. Their packing, blanketing and securing of all items is of the highest professional quality. Not a single surface is left exposed. Others have told me stories that other companies never even blanketed items like a tempered glass table, fragile items and just executing sub standard lazy work ethic. All fears and concerns are laid to rest with Ferguson's, and there will never be another moving company we would ever use. We support them as much as we can to excel in being the best moving company ever.

The movers did not use blankets on my furniture alot of my furniture were antique heirlooms in family a long time and expensive the guys just plopped a mahogany dresser on a dolly sideways and piled stuff on top like heavy boxes and other items the whole dresser was scratched with high indentations on top and sides and a few of my bins didnt arrive so they list things gas it was a short move I pre packed everything and had everything close to bedroom door s for easy work and most stuff I moved to living room they do not cover ur furniture with moving blankets they just stick onto a ful a dolly and away they go .

We have had such a horrible experience with Ferguson Moving and would strongly urge others to not hire them. We hired Ferguson after meeting in person with Juville. It seemed like a comprehensive service, although much more expensive than what other companies were quoting. We were happy to pay for the expertise as we were assured we would be in good hands with professional workers. Sadly this was not the case. The movers arrived late and on several occasions I noticed the movers not wearing their masks properly, or at all. It was clear we were not provided with experienced movers. The first day they arrive they asked if we had a step ladder. It’s my understanding that this should be something the movers bring themselves. One mover asked my husband how to take off the legs of the couch. The mover couldn’t figure it out so instead he jammed the couch through our doorway, snapping off one of the legs. This is one of many items that needs replacing. Ferguson moving did over $2,000 worth of damage to our old apartment, our new townhouse and our furniture. Some of our furniture wasn't wrapped and the railings and stairways weren't covered, even though we were promised they would be. I’ll list the damage that occurred: -damage to the apartment door/frame -damage to common hallways -spare bedroom door frame -living room couch (one of the legs was snapped off during the move) -broken plate (the bottom of the box was caved in, even though it was labelled fragile) -smashed light fixture (broken in townhouse during move in) -scratches and dents along 3 levels of stairway in our townhouse -front door (was removed to bring items in, is no longer closing properly) To make matters worse their truck broke down with all of our furniture in it, so we had to find somewhere to stay for a night and we ended up moving into our new home a day late. We were told that this truck has had previous issues but they still used it. The worst part of this whole experience has been dealing with the aftermath of the move. Not once has Ferguson reached out to us to provide reimbursement, I have had to constantly email them (often with no response for weeks). We moved 2 months ago and I am still emailing Alex (our move manager) for reimbursement cheques for replacement furniture they damaged during the move. They initially offered a 10% discount on the move, which is completely inadequate and ridiculous for the hassle we've been through. After several weeks of arguing with them they did give a full reimbursement for the move, but even that I had to follow up several times to get our money back. Your pamphlets say “ease your mind before, during, and after the move.” I could not disagree with this more. The entire move was extremely stressful, due to Ferguson. We moved in a day late, due to issues previously mentioned. Instead of being excited to move into our new townhouse, we are still dealing with the long list of things that need to be done due to the negligence of the team you provided us. We can’t imagine how frustrated the new owners of our apartment were with the damage. Moving is a stressful thing, and we hired Ferguson to alleviate some stress and instead it only added more.

We had booked our move through Quinn and we knew Ferguson was an Irish owned company being Irish ourselves and having so many good reviews we felt confident in giving them our business. Followed up the day before to confirm details everyone was polite and everything seemed to be in order they had placed the no parking signs outside our current home. Scheduled for arrival between 8-8.30am. Truck and 2 guys arrive to our home at 8.10am which was good timing. We had booked a full move which basically means take your whole apartment and move it to the new house all packing/unpacking taken care off. Not an easy task but we assumed the people coming knew what they were doing and this service was not cheap. Within 2 minutes we knew there was issues and the guys went to they’re truck looking confused as to why they had been sent to this job. One guy returned and said that he would work alone as the second guy was overwhelmed by the job. We decided to help as it felt unfair for one guy to dismantle a 2 bedroom apartment on his own. In 90 mins we had the master bedroom and en-suite packed and ready to take away. This point we had scheduled to be at the new place to take possession so had to leave and were assured more help was on the way. The truck was scheduled to arrive at our new home between 11am-12pm- 50 mins drive (Vancouver-Langley) This was all pre-planned and we had arranged for a parking spot for the truck and elevators to be booked etc. The truck showed up at 6pm. The driver was the person who had left our apartment this morning and not wanted to work. He moved some furniture and boxes when he arrived but did not seem happy, damaged 2 doors in a new house. Smashed a tower fan off the ground when getting out of the truck. We let all of this slide as we needed to get the truck empty. He then decided he had enough and told his co-worker this is not my job I am not getting paid and he can do it himself. He eventually was persuaded to help again by us and his co-worker, then he was throwing boxes and causing damage and marking the walls of the house. We had to ask him to leave the house at this point. We then had to move the rest of our belongings into the house. By the time we got this done it was 8.30pm. The guys left our house with nothing re-assembled or unpacked. 4-5 damaged items(that we know of) plus damage to the house and boxes in everywhere but the right place. This was by far the worst experience I have had with a company. Feeling extremely let down and could not recommend Ferguson to anyone. The second helper was an extremely hard worker and able to move boxes. Sadly not trained on how to efficiently and safely pack up an apartment. I have photos of the conditions of the packing and damaged objects. Quinn was supposed to work on this today and get back to us we have not had any contact from Ferguson since Saturday despite emailing them as a reminder today.

I had a quote from Ferguson Moving. A rep came to my two bedroom apartment and looked around at my belongings. He was super friendly and knowledgeable. After he gave me what would be the cost of my move, I was gobsmacked! Extremely high cost for moving such a small space. His warning was that if I used any other moving company, their surprise fees would cost me more than Ferguson's guaranteed price. I did not use Ferguson, and I found another local company that charged me a flat rate with no surprise fees for almost $2000 less! All representatives I spoke to at Ferguson were friendly and professional, and I have no doubt they would have great service. Unfortunately, the cost for moving small spaces were astronomical. If you have the extra funds, or have a large move, I am sure they would be a great choice. If you are more restricted on your moving budget, this company won't be for you.

Potential customers should be aware that this company's movers will NOT agree to wear masks while they move you in or out of a free-standing home. We asked them to wear masks as customers were over 70 and 80 with health concerns. The company stated there is "a law" that gives them an exemption from wearing masks if customers already have masks but did not provide us with any proof of that. We were very disappointed; it would have been pretty easy as they had masks in their pockets. Moving heavy furniture is an intense physical activity which causes heavy-breathing and thereby puts their customers at risk. All the trades crews are wearing masks in houses now (regardless) and their work involves far less cardiovascular exertion. Other than that, the crew was on-time, capable, and completed our move for us in a timely fashion , although they did a bit of damage to our house. I wouldn't use them again, certainly not during the pandemic. I'm moving next month and will go with a different company that agrees to mask-up ahead of time.

Yesterday (Aug 22) at around 2 pm while I was driving my family south bound on Nanaimo street approaching Hastings and the company driver nearly took my vehicle and entire family into chaos with a collision by driving on a lane that didn't exist. I was initially impressed when a representative of Ferguson offered to come to our home and provide a free estimate for the move costs. The rep was pleasant and attentive. She then provided me an estimate for our 3-bedroom townhome move (plus storage locker) of more than $4500. She asked me to agree to it right away. She even asked how I felt about the estimate. It felt like she was sizing me up, and had pulled the number out of a hat. It was awkward and uncomfortable and I will not be giving them our business. I have since received a second estimate from another moving company for $1500.

We have had such bad experience with Ferguson Moving and would strongly urge others to not use them. We hired Ferguson after meeting in person with the sales person. It seemed like a comprehensive service, although much more expensive than what other companies were quoting. We were happy to pay for the expertise as we were assured we would be in good hands with professional workers. Sadly this was not the case. The movers arrived late, we were not provided with experienced movers. One mover asked my husband how to take off the legs of the couch. The mover couldn’t figure it out so instead he jammed the couch through our doorway, snapping off one of the legs. This is one of many items that needs replacing. Ferguson moving did over $1,000 worth of damage to our old apartment, our new townhouse and our furniture. Some of our furniture wasn't wrapped and the railings and stairways weren't covered, even though we were promised they would be. The worst part of this whole experience has been dealing with the aftermath of the move. Not once has Ferguson reached out to us to provide reimbursement, I have had to constantly email them (often with no response for weeks). We moved 2 months ago and I am still not receive reimbursement cheques for replacement furniture they damaged during the move. Your pamphlets say “ease your mind before, during, and after the move.” I could not disagree with this more. The entire move was extremely stressful, due to Ferguson. Moving is a stressful thing, and we hired Ferguson to alleviate some stress and instead it only added more.

We contacted Ferguson to help bail me out of an ill-concieved decision to move myself. I got everything moved into my new garage and came to the conclusion that we needed pros to get my furniture up the tight & treacherous staircase. They sent over an estimator the next day, who informed us that they had to bill for a minimum of 4 hours, and that the work we needed would likely fall below that. Unfortunate, but understandable from a business perspective... We went with them... The movers arrived on time, and were consummate professionals. They came prepared with all the right tools for the job and were extremely courteous to boot. Perhaps most importantly, performed some truly amazing feats of strength and ingenuity to get the furniture where it needed to go, and in one piece. My only regret is that I didn't hire them to do the whole move for me.

We were looking for a company with packing, moving and storage services, since we were planning to renovate our new place. I contacted a few places, including Ferguson. Juville came to our house, did a quick appraisal and quoted a price which was substantially higher than the other ones. In the end we decided to go with them based on the very good reviews and the pleasant attitude of Juville, our contact point in Frguson, whom I see a great person to work with. The first instalment was taken from the provided credit card and we were issued a receipt. So far, so good. The movers came for packing, five of them, and did the packing in three hours. That would have taken us a month. Great people to work with. Our stuff were taken to the storage. In the packing process, a part of our IKEA bed broke and the company told us they would replace it. At this point in time, we were extremely impressed by the service we got. Our renovations took more than three months and at that time we asked for the delivery. Juville arranged the whole thing in the most efficient way. Come the day, three movers came for unpacking, none of them having a clue how to reassemble IKEA beds. In the process of "repairing" the broken piece, some other pieces were lost and the bed could not be assembled safely. Again, Juville to the rescue. She arranged for a refund of the bed price in no time and we were so happy I actually told the contractor working on our house this is the company you should suggest to your clients. Things went downhill from this point. Checking to see if the refund was deposited to my account, I noticed a series of odd charges by Ferguson. In the course of three months, apart from the agreed sums, these were taken: April 2: 94.76 May 2: 947.59 June 2: 947.59 - 61.99 July 2: 885.60 Sure this was a mistake, I called Juville again. She told me their storage department has made the withdrawals and connected me to a lady called Sarah. People should learn: you make a mistake, you apologize for it. Well, she didn't. At first, she tried to convince me they were rightly taken. After I explained to her where the mistake was, she mentioned some added charges because of the extra storage time (I understand this), but there was no proper explanation the extra charges and no receipt was issued. She told me the refund will be issued within five minutes. There was no apology of any kind from her and she had an attitude like I had to apologize for taking her time. If anything, they had charged me about $2200 more than what they should have. Back to Juville, I explained that I needed to see proper receipts for the extra charges. She told me three separate receipts will be issued. Nothing happened in the mentioned "five minutes" or even for hours after that. The next day I sent her an email again mentioning my calculation for the refunds show about $100 more than what Sarah mentioned, asking for the receipts AGAIN. I have been waiting for those for the past 10 days. I understand mistakes happen. How you correct them is important though, and dealing with Ferguson storage department was an experience I'll never want to go through again. People trust you with their credit cards. You can't over charge them by about 40% and never tell them why you have charged them. Update: We were contacted by management and things were explained properly and mistakes were corrected.

We got quotes from two movers and Jared from Ferguson was significantly better than the other quote. Once we agreed to use Ferguson they arrived on time and then efficiently packed and marked the boxes. The following day they got the entire house loaded into the truck which gave us enough time to clean the house and then drive to new home in St. Albert. Once we received keys for new home truck was there within an hour and offloading began. Within five hours the entire truck was emptied and sofa and beds were put together. All boxes were put into rooms we asked them to be put. When we began the unpacking process we never had anything broken and boxes were identified well enough that we didn’t even have to move boxes around. The job done by Kirk, Sienna, Jared and the rest was first class and would recommend them to anyone looking to move.

It was incredibly convenient to have help packing and we were happy to pay a little extra for this since I was expecting a baby in the coming weeks. Most professional and least stressful move I've ever had. Would highly recommend since they went above and beyond my expectations. They do charge accordingly and having had moves where my furniture was wrecked and I had to do a lot of my own packing, I feel like this was definitely worth the cost. There was also a great Frogbox promotion included at the time of our move which made for easier clean up and unpacking.

Tom, Mohamed, Ted & Gary were fabulous in that they were very attentive to my moving concerns, packed the truck carefully and efficiently, labelled things to get them to the right place, worked hard a for ten hours and communicated clearly. During the offload, if something was placed into the wrong room, they happily moved it. They were polite, friendly, careful, efficient, neat and thoughtful. I would absolutely recommend them!

We recently moved from the lower mainland to Vancouver Island. We first dealt with Quinn, their sales representative. During the initial site visit he was very thorough and provided us with an all inclusive, detailed fixed price quote which was easy to understand. At our request our furniture was stored in their warehouse for two months prior to delivery to our new home. If we needed information Quinn was readily available to answer our questions. At the time of pickup and delivery Mohammed and his team carefully wrapped and unwrapped our belongings without damaging a thing. It was a challenging move in as several flights of stairs were involved yet everything went smoothly and they finished on time. We have used Ferguson’s previously and highly recommend them.

I contacted Ferguson for our move on a recommendation from a neighbour. They arranged for an in-home estimate to take place within a couple of days with Julian. After reaaranging the time on the day he arrived on time and spent 1.5 hours in my home mostly talking about himself, talking over me if I tried to join his conversation about him and painting an extremely dark picture of how difficult moving what we had would be, even though 3 of the 4 bedrooms in our house were 85% empty...one was completely empty. He said that the movers would need to decide on moving day if they could take our outdoor planters which he back tracked on when I said that would not work. He stayed in my home to do the quote because “his wife would not be home until 7pm anyway” but ultimately left before finishing it, promising to send it the next day. 7 days later I emailed him asking for the quote, he answered saying he must have been given the wrong email address at the office and that he would send the quote that evening. I still have not been sent the quote and it is now over 6 weeks since he came to my home. Obviously I moved on to find another company as, having not used this company before, I did not know if this unprofessionalism was indicative of the whole company. The next company did not make any fuss as to how much furniture and boxes we would have for the move and guaranteed they could move our large outdoor planters no problem but advised that it would be best for us to take the others in our cars. Wasting my time at such a busy and stressful time is extremely frustrating and unnecessary to me. Reading the other reviews on this company seem to indicate to me it was the moving estimator that was the problem.

We sold our condo just before covid19 lockdown and were waiting on our new build to be ready. Shaz was super helpful in coming to help us do a move plan which turned into 2 move plans depending on if we got into our new build or had to put our stuff into storage. It went into storage and then out again so we ended up using them 2x. Both times the move teams were on time, professional, friendly, helpful, quick, and careful with everything. James was great at reminders and confirming move details and Shaz was great at following up to ensure service met our needs. I was in a bit of a bind between selling my apartment and buying into new construction. There was a period of three weeks where I didn't have a place for my stuff and Ferguson took it all and returned it with grace and ease. Considering the operation, the price was very affordable. Professional, polite and prompt from our first phone interaction with James and his team. Having to find moving boxes is always a pain in the butt, and the boxes supplied by Ferguson as well as their Froghbox promotion at the time was an added bonus and meant we didn't have to worry about that pesky step. Move day went as smoothly as could be, and the guys were all so great! They used a carpet runner on the stairs to keep things clean. The day was a long one for the guys as they were a person short, but they were so upbesat and friendlly. Nothing damaged, nothing broken, nothing missing. We'd recommend Ferguson in a heartbeat, and will definietly be using them again for our next move!!!

I have used Ferguson Moving twice in the last 3 years for moving an entire household. Anytime you are moving, there are many vendors involved from changing utilities to having repairs/improvements on both ends of the move. Ferguson Moving employees/staff are far and above the best experience of both moves. They were punctual, went "over & above" expectations to ensure that our moving experience was as stress-free as possible and were exceptionally helpful and friendly. They made sure furniture's were where we wanted it and would go to great lengths to make it work even if somewhat inconvenient. They worked within our schedule and any little mishaps were made right in a timely manner. We will definitely use them again.

Ferguson Moving and Storage (South Surrey/White Rock) Ferguson Moving and Storage is a franchise. The rave review you read may not be for your local iteration of the company, so check it out first before you book I am 75 and disabled. I hired Ferguson to both pack and move my things. The packers arrived, hours late, on the afternoon before the move and I was dismayed when two of the three packers walked away when I was explaining what was to go. The third identified himself as the manager, so I supposed he would instruct the other two. No such luck. It became clear that these guys were far from professional packers, but it wasn’t till I started to unpack in the new place that I saw how utterly disastrous it was. The boxes were either unlabelled or inaccurately labelled. A typical box might say “living room” but contain items from the kitchen and master bedroom. Bags of dry cat food were carefully wrapped in 2 or three sheets of paper, while china plates in stacks were wrapped in only a single sheet for each stack. Clothes including linens, silks and cashmere were balled up and stuffed between the items. Garment boxes had been filled in the bottom with other items, drawers had been dumped out with no attempt to secure breakables, and any box might contain items from any room, so unpacking was a nightmare. As the packers had arrived late, the packing was not finished that evening and continued the next day, during the move. It was impossible to monitor the activities of packers or movers. Part way through the day, I discovered that a suitcase holding all my clothes and medications for the week before I could be in my new place was now on the truck, and they refused to get it out. I was very upset, and the Manager told me that he did not answer to me and did not consider himself to be employed by me, but by Jon Balzer, the owner of the franchise; taking the time to get my suitcase off the truck would be “cheating” his boss. After we had clashed over the suitcase, he would approach me with a coffee mug or a glass in his hand, and ask, “Do you want me to pack this?”, and then repeat the action and question with another item, and then another. When I protested, he got right in my face and began to shout, “You’re disrespecting me.” He continued his bullying and aggressive behaviour for the remainder of the day. A neighbour who was observing the move overheard the conversation among the movers as they went in and out and approached me to say she thought they were horrible people and did not like having them in the building. I was sufficiently concerned that I asked my friends who were helping to make sure I was not left alone with the movers as I did not feel safe. They left without speaking to me, and without emptying my storage locker, which I had to deal with myself, exactly what I had hired them to avoid. There were breakages and also damages to my new building. They repaired the leg broken off the coffee table, and another off a nest of tables, with gorilla glue, but ignored other damages, even packing the broken pieces of my lap desk in separate boxes. However, they did remove the marks left in our elevator promptly. As the Manager was the person who dealt with breakages, I chose not to pursue redress for the things that remained unrepaired, as it was clear that he would be the one to deal with this, and I did not feel safe allowing him in my new home. All in all, Ferguson Moving was a nightmare. As an elderly disabled woman on my own, I found the movers unfriendly, unhelpful, unprofessional, bullying, careless and thoughtless. I hope no one else makes the same mistake I did.

The team from Ferguson did an awesome job on our recent move. They were courteous and professional from the moment I first called them to the point of following up after our move. The guys that did the actual move—Tim and his team—worked extremely hard in the middle of a heat wave, and when it turned out that the move was more involved than they had initially thought, they were even able to call in reinforcements in the evening to get the job done. And despite that, they stuck to their original cost estimate, as promised. The only reason I cannot give them five stars is that they were two hours late due to an unforeseen issue at the depot and this goes against their on-time guarantee, but they more than made up for that by going above and beyond the call for the rest of the day. I would, and have, recommend Ferguson to my friends. Thanks for a job well done!
