Called for a quote to move my daughter from one apartment to another... informed the company that I needed a quote for the city who was helping her with the costs of moving. Before he had any other information he automatically said he doesn't move ODSP clients reason being that he has had some bad experiences. That is unfortunate to paint everyone with the same brush.....because I was really impressed with their rating but appalled that they flat out refused to consider. What happened to helping those who are disabled....I wasn't asking for it for free...I think it is discriminatory against our disabled population. Shame on you Cassidy movers.

We were referred to Cassidy's through our builder who had great experiences with previous home buyers to soon realize that several family members and friends had also used them in the past. Everyone had great things to say about them. We cannot express how fantastic our experience was. Hector and Ben went above and beyond, they were careful and quick. It was amazing. Nice to have someone come in and do an estimate, it was pretty close. Everyone I have met who did my move was very personable and quick to communicate. Driver let me know the night before when he was coming - which was a little short notice but good. They were close to the mark on arrival time and got in and out in good time. Thanks guys!

I am extremely happy and satisfied with Cassidy's & United Van Lines. I recently moved to Vancouver, BC from Ottawa, ON and the whole process went smoothly with the help of our rep. Matt Hopf (Cassidy's) & head driver Rod (United Van Lines). Matt met me at my home to provide a quote and he was always professional via email or telephone. His quote was within $50.00 which was very impressive! He was always available to answer questions and also provide moving supplies (boxes, tape & packing paper at no cost). We could pick up supplies whenever during business hours. The head driver, Rod organized in advanced when he was to be expected and kept me up to date day before and day of, as well as with drop off. His team was very organized and respectful to our property & items. All items arrived with zero to little damage - I was sure to pack things with lots of paper or bubble wrap of course and they also covered most items with moving blankets as well. From Scott (Moving Consultant) being on top of things with communication to movers (Phil and Chris) being very careful and professional - everything went smoothly. We had booked our move with the Cassidy Pembroke office. We did change our move date from mid September to August 24 2020. They were very accommodating on the date change. That is all the good things I can say about them. On our move day, expecting the movers to arrive at 11 am, we waited for over 2 hours for the truck to show up. The two person crew then spent about thirty minutes at the back of the truck, smoking and discussing what to do. When they finally got to work they had no dollies so were carrying a couple of boxes at a time. On each return to the house one of the crew was busy texting on his phone. When it got to moving furniture they mentioned they only had one blanket to wrap. They also had no tools to disassemble the dining room table and cabinet. Fortunately I had some tools. Moving into an apartment complex the elevator had been booked from 3 to 6 pm. This limits residents to using the stairs as the elevator is blocked off for the movers. Our movers showed up at the apartment after 5 pm. The maintenance person looking after the elevator operation asked them to move items into the lobby area and then move to the second floor apartment. They did not seem to be in a hurry so he asked them several times to stop taking breaks and get on with the move. There were periods of rain during the move but no precautions were taken for our items. Fortunately the building maintenance people provided a couple of trolleys to help the movers. This ordeal finally ended at 8pm. We were threatened to withhold unloading unless we gave the moving crew a credit card number including the cvv. A call to the boss Gord resolved that we gave him credit information. We did not feel comfortable giving this information to the two crew people. The maintenance superintendent who remained until the move was complete mentioned he would never allow this crew into the building again. So if this is "professional" company why do they send out improperly equipped trucks and crews?

Cassidy's Moving provided exceptional service from the moment I requested a quote until the final box was put into our new basement. Having moved 6 times in 12 years, we've had plenty of recent experience with moving companies. Cassidy's outdid every other mover. Scott provided a timely and accurate quote; Joe and Matt were punctual on move-out day, were very personable, and handled all our belongings with care. On move-in day, they made sure everything was placed exactly where we wanted it and did not cut corners. There were no dings on walls and our belongings arrived in the same shape that they'd left. This group was truly great to work with and the final cost of our long-distance move was less than half of what we'd paid to move in the opposite direction 2.5 years earlier. Had a great experience with Cassidy's. We were moving from a 3-bedroom townhouse for a local move. I really appreciated that 3 guys showed up for the move instead of only 2 that many standard moving company's provide. This helped to facilitate a smoother (and much faster!) move. They were quick, efficient, and professional. You could tell they definitely had a good system. Everything was handled with care and all of our belongings were well-taken care of. On the customer service side, their representative at the office responded to all my email inquiries and questions beforehand to ease any concerns or worries we had. My move with Cassidy’s Moving & Storage was the worse move I have ever had. No one came out & did an estimate. Had to do 2 loads! Moved before from a larger house to smaller & finished at 3:00 in the afternoon not 8:30 at night. Not very good customer service. The manager is rude & would not recommend dealing with them. Apparently you are only allowed one claim for damage! Who finds everything in the beginning. When you watch a mover carry one single wire ball to the basement you really have to wonder. No point in complaining because it falls on deaf ears & they will ignore you. I wish to respond to your reply. It is not the first you had heard about the time taken in the move. Firstly I spoken with Sharon to tell her I was not happy. She was going to call me back unfortunately I have never heard from her. I have no idea who you thought was going to move my lawn furniture. Maybe if someone had come & given an estimate. I had said to Sharon that I had hoped to move some of the garages. NEVER did I say you would not have to move lawn furniture. When I tell my friends you only take one claim they laugh. Even though I paid extra for insurance I still have to live with scratches on my furniture. The desk is put together & I no longer need to deal with you , nor would I recommend you as a moving company.

This past weekend we had our furniture delivered from Prince Rupert, B.C. to Disraeli, Quebec, (Eastern Townships), where we have a cottage on a lake. Mr. Zach Scouten was the gentleman that collected our furnishings in Prince Rupert and he was the one that delivered everything to Quebec. We want to tell you how pleased we are with his service and professionalism and just general care and consideration. Zach kept us in the loop as to where and when our furniture would be delivered to Quebec and was wonderful with coordinating it so that our eastern relatives could be there to accept the delivery. (We live in North Vancouver, B.C. full time). Your organization is truly blessed to have Zach as part of your team. VERY IMPRESSED!!! I run a small, personalized Seniors Relocation business and had the need to use a larger moving company for my client. I selected Cassidy's as they are well known and well respected in Ottawa and the Ottawa Valley. Their price was very good and their Sales Representative, Scott Myers was more than accommodating and additionally offered a small discount that I wasn't expecting. My client was impressed (as was I) that they moved all items quickly and with no damage. They took good care of the furniture as if it was theirs and my client had some nice pieces. Visit for an estimate was set up, quick response and a good price quoted. Overall communication was very good. Load up went smoothly. On time arrival, and finished within a few hours. Sensitive things were wrapped and care seemed to be taken of both goods and the house. Foreman and crew were professional. Unload was a different story. New foreman and crew (crew was helpful). Late arrival as directions weren't followed.Non-nonchalant attitude in organization. Several notable issues (an item I asked to be given extra care had a wall of boxes collapse on it during unload, despite asking to have sensitive things unwrapped in the house the person organizing would revert to unwrapping on the truck to save time, by the end everything was being dumped near the entrance instead of taken upstairs for where it was clearly marked, a table put together was only hand tightened, some minor damage (ie. a broken drawer on an old table)). Advise, pay attention and be present. Stick to their stated rules. Minor damage was found in the move out house after it had stood empty for a couple days but they insist on "day of" reporting. Fair, so take the time to be thorough despite the stress of the day.

Cassidys moving pulled in front of my drive and completely blocked access for multiple hours. Said it not their problem. Said I should call police but also said they know police will do nothing. Maybe you should notify neighbour before, use a smaller truck if you’re downtown or use any other approach than what you did. It’s much easier to be friendly or anything other than what you were. Sickening.

We moved from Ottawa to Vancouver Island in November 2021. Scott came to the house to give us an estimate and organized the move from the office. He responded to my emails very quickly and was polite and helpful. The moving team was led by Ron, accompanied by Rick and Marc in Ottawa. Ron is a very good communicator, on time, professional and polite. All items were carefully loaded and unloaded on the other end. Rick and Marc were also very polite and respectful throughout. It took a great weight off my shoulders to know that Ron would see the move through from start to finish. All items arrived in good condition, and the final cost was below estimate.
