Almost 10 years ago we moved to New Zealand with Meldrum's help. The move there was a flawless experience. On our way back them for just the last leg from the warehouse to our place (less stuff). They showed up 15 minutes early, were incredibly polite, were done very quickly and were professional throughout. On the sales/business side of things the folks in the office handled all my inquires via email without ever trying to contact me by phone (I prefer things in writing) and were also the gold standard for polite and professional. I would not hesitate to recommend Meldrum the Mover to anyone.

Thanks for the talk Paul! We knew when we moved we would use Meldrum, we always heard good things, however our experience was very much subpar. The planning via telephone went very well, however we were told 4 movers would show up, only 3 did, we weren’t charged for the 4th however it increased the time it would take for the movers to put everything in the truck as well as unload. Only one out of the three guys showed pride for his job and worked hard. The person who seemed to be the leader of the team had A LOT of attitude, despite the fact that we had made their job pretty easy (which they stated themselves). He refused to take some items into the truck (a bag of soil) so we took it in our car. Once at the new house we asked if they could lay down their protective carpets since it was a rainy day and our indoor stairs are carpeted, we were met with confronting attitude from the team lead, saying the carpet was at the back of the truck....shouldn’t you always have those items on hand and ready...especially on a rainy day move? A move is stressful, and unfortunately Meldrum didn’t live up to its name and made it more stressful for us for no reason. I do not recommend.

Best moving experience ever. We just moved from Germany to Montreal. This is not the first time we moved international but the longest distance. My husband's employer in Montreal appointed Meldrum the Mover. They kept contact with us for the last three months before the move, show us how to prepare the paper work. Their agent in Germany was also excellent. They showed up on time, did the packing fast and neat. Our stuffs arrived as estimated time. Meldrum made the container release very soon. Everything arrived as it was supposed to. No items were damaged, and the movers even removed any boxes and paper that we had unpacked after 1 week. Our contact with Joshua and the whole team were very professional, friendly, hard working, responsible, personable and understanding. The move turned out to be the least of our concerns. We were very impressed. Thank you for everything. We would recommend Meldrum to anyone.

We have had to change the move in date several times and they have been so nice every time we have dealt with them on the phone. Very understanding. I had to move twice in a month and used Meldrum's services. The first time, from a house to an appartment, the second time, from an appartment to another one on the 3rd floor (hopefully my final destination for a bit -; ). I had to move a 800 lbs L.E.N. Pratte 1931 upwrite piano. Meldrum did an excellent job both times, impeccable I might add. The movers, Ryan, Shane, Howard, under David's lead, did an incredible job and in a timely manner. Overall, the team involved with our intra-city move (both the packers that came the day before the move and the movers that came on the day) were professional, helpful, and were very patient with the horrible management of our building who did not properly honor the reservation we had made of a freight elevator and loading dock. The packing and move was completed competently and efficiently. The only reason for four stars instead of five is that the crew could have been a bit more careful on the delivery of our move to our new home. We've had to file a claim for a damaged sofa leg, and we were fortunate that we were able to get our contractor to fix a few other issues (scuff marks/damage on walls, a broken window latch, etc.) that were also the result of the move. All in all, a relatively successful move - this now our third time using Meldrum The Mover (two international moves and this one), and we've been happy overall with the service. Best, Brett

I'm just writing to thank you for the great crew you sent over to do my move. The Boss mover (was it Chris? I just called him Boss) was a tower of power and purpose. Robyn, Mike and Steve were also very alert and professional and a real pleasure to have around. They got that huge sofa out the front door in no time at all and in fact had emptied the 2 floors of my house in an hour and half tops. The off-load went just as efficiently and they were all done by about 12:30 pm. Nothing was missing, fell, was broken or even damaged and best of all nobody hurt themselves and my new neighbours were very impressed with the "professional movers" I used! Used them to move house locally. They were very responsive via email. Friendly and respectful crew of 4 arrived on time. We had done most of the packing ourselves, but they expertly wrapped and, where appropriate, dismantled furniture. They moved everything super-efficiently and with care (nothing was damaged), and they finished ahead of schedule (we were paying based on time). They worked very hard, often carrying things up and down multiple staircases, while wearing face masks. Very happy with the service received and would use again.

Where does one begin? I guess with Kathleen who visited and provided us the guidance and the quote, and was always there for follow up calls and questions. Thanks Kathleen! When the big day arrived, the doorbell rang when the team arrived (on time) and within 4 minutes all three floors going up had mats rolled out on the stairs and hallway to protect the surfaces from boots, as this was a winter move. The next step was a walkthrough from top to bottom so that they knew what had to be moved, which allowed them to plan the packing of the van. Our move had a small complication in that we were storing our belongings for an extended period, but some of the items for storage needed to be accessible for when our daughter gets her own place, and some needed to be moved to an apartment we were going to be living in until our final destination became ready. What happened next was a thing of beauty to watch. These guys worked like a co-ordinated orchestra, and the house emptied out at an amazing pace. We had a heavy dining room glass tabletop that was crated for storage on site. A cabinet maker could not have done a better job. The move into the furnished apartment (clothes and some extra belongings) went equally smooth and quickly. I could go on, but a review hat's too long will not be read. In a few months, our belongings come out of storage and the temporary apartment, and I expect it to go just as well. Many thanks to Steve, Eric, Mark, Tristan and Robin who took away all the stress of moving and provided a truly professional experience for me and my family. If you have a big move to do, chose Meldrum.

Used Meldrum recently for a cross-country move from Montreal to Richmond, BC. Was really impressed at first with the customer service and the detailed quote (all done virtually through an easy-to-use app). My deadline was tight but we scheduled a pickup date on the Saturday before I had to fly out. The day of the move left me deeply unsatisfied. The tenants of the home -from which we were to have my stuff picked up - and I prepared and waited for a "mid-to-late-afternoon pickup" (I called the day before to confirm the time). No one showed up. Around 7 pm I finally received a call from the head of dispatch that their guys working that day had a 3-hour move turn into a 10-hour one. He made the call to send them home. Fair enough. Good working conditions for employees are important. However, they couldn't reschedule my move until the following Monday. This was a great inconvenience because I had to take a plane before then and couldn't be present anymore. The tenants of the household now had to take off a day of work to accommodate the new pickup date. From their account, the movers were very nice and efficient, but they had left a large oil spill and didn't clean it up. I tried calling customer service or the salesman I initially spoke with about finding some compensation for their scheduling error. I was told after playing phone tag with multiple people that there was nothing they could do. Basically the household's tenants and I had to pay for their error. Up until the pickup, I was ready to recommend Meldrum to anyone. After the way they handled my grievances about what happen, I would warn anyone that any errors on their part might cost you.

TLDR: not quite professional, would not hire again. Edit: answer to their answer at the bottom. On the plus side: + staff was friendly + all my belonging go moved to the new place, so this part of the contract was respected On the other side: - arrived 2 hours late with no warning from the company, except after I called to know what was up - took longer than estimated, ie more expensive than originally planned ($1200->1500 for moving a 1 1/2 to 1km away) - movers were tired and out of shape - movers did not have all the usual moving equipment, making moving the appliances harder than it should have been - movers scratched some appliances, dropped some others on the floor on the way from the truck to the new place - movers suggested making a chain, then proceeded to be so slow this was actually slower than not making a chain. - I had to help them at some point because they were already so late we would never see the end of it - called them a few days later in hope of getting compensated for the poor performance and the scratches on my appliances, was told someone would call me back. Nobody ever did. I am not happy with this performance, which did not meet the low expectations of someone getting so-called professionals to do the job for the first time. I do not recommend this shop, and will not use their services ever again. ===== Update Moving season is coming, Mr Meldrum checks their reviews in order to save face. This move was done in 2019, 2 years is a bit late to offer customer service isn it? Anyway: - the move was NOT completed one (1) hour after the estimated time. You said you be there by noon and that moving a 1 1/2 1km away would take 3 hours at most. You were there by 2pm and we were done by 8pm, so two (2) hours late and double the estimated time. - I confirmed nothing, I merely signed and paid because your movers would not finish moving my washer off the truck otherwise (one made me pay, the 2 others were sitting on the washer and waiting). I had no choice but to pay, and only later on to call to fill a complain (which was not answered), which is the procedure your guys told me I should follow. Coming up with false claims, shady procedures, and 2 years late at that, is too little too late, and I would not advise anyone to use your services.

LIMITED ACCESS : for Self-Storage You only have access to your Storage on Weekdays between 8:30am-4pm, Monday to Friday. No weekend access. No holidays. Highly inconvenient, for my purposes. Employees are polite and professional. For "managed storage", such as apartment moves or such, I am sure they are fine. My suggestion to management, Do not offer SELF-STORAGE to your clients. It is an inconvenience for all concerned.

I had been warned that when companies offer last Minute crews they often send inexperienced workers. Despite major complications (I did not contract with them directly, therefore there was a deeply annoying complexity in terms of communications), every different team and employee of Meldrum I met was professional, effective, and friendly (and sometimes actually hilarious). My delivery date was later than I expected, which I blame on my organisation, but the dispatcher in Montreal helped, and instead of three days later (causing a huge headache) it was only one.

Moved from Montreal to Alberta. The movers that were in my house were really friendly and great, both at the pickup and drop off location. The rest of the management was terrible though. I had to call several times to ask questions and get an answer, only to be redirected to someone else and so on. They would never return my calls regarding when my items would be dropped off in Alberta. Things came 2 weeks later than planned. Miscellaneous charges on bills that cannot be explained to me by anyone.

This was my second time using Meldrum for 600+ km interprovincial moves and the team never disappoints! Just amazing. I was even more impressed this time around given as they moved me in the heat of the COVID-19, but they were very mindful of health and safety, and there were no issues with transportation. Beware of who your moving crew is with Meldrum! While I was happy with the sales rep who booked the move (which was WHY I booked with them), once the moving crew came to load the truck, everything went downhill. Meldrum assigned a crew of 4 to do a move to a 2 bedroom apartment, and these 4 guys managed to take 9 hours, including 1 hour at time & a half!!!! to move my stuff, which was all packed, labelled and waiting to go. No appliances, everything organized including a reserved elevator 10 paces from my apartment door, yet somehow these guys wasted enough time to cost me hundreds of extra dollars. Guys coming up empty handed in the elevator, no scissors to cut tape that held the packing blankets (which they pulled, yanked, stretched, hacked away at with house keys dozens of times), almost throwing away the power cord for the tv, dumping heavy boxes onto fragile, bringing bigger items in too early and placing them in such a way that they needed to move them again and again. For goodness sakes, they could barely back the truck into my empty 4 car driveway to load! Clearly Meldrum hires people with little experience, no team or leadership abilities and no consideration for the client. Beware.

My wife had moved before with another company and she told me she would like to go with them. I told her to let me take care of the moving this time and I convinced her to go with Meldrum. Unfortunately for me it was a bad idea. The story might be long but if you have time I think you should read it. My wife and I packed everything for moving. Some of the items that in our judgement were more breakable we separated from the rest. One of those items was a glass top table. We were going to bring them with us to avoid any problems. However when the movers came in to pick up everything they offered to pick up those items too. We explained that they were fragile and we were afraid they would end up being broken. They said "No problem, we can handle them". We let them pick up the glass top table. When we got to our new place, guess what was missing? The glass top table, of course. One of the movers told me that they drop it turning it into pieces. "No problem, I bet you got insurance", you might think. Yes, we were insured and we filled in the cargo claim. According to Meldrum, if the item was not packed by them, it cannot be insured. I understand that most companies have this rule, but why would the movers offer to move the glass top table without packing it properly, if they know that they might break it? The second problem came with our furniture. We had 3 pieces of furniture - 2 dressers and 1 wardrobe - that were damaged on their feet. They were probably slide when they were moved and a part of the wood came out of that. We couldn't use the movables anymore they were just ruined visually. We took pictures of all the damage that was made and we sent to Meldrum. They sent a guy to our place to check what he could do to fix the damage. I don't really care about how well you can fix a movable it will always show if you give a close look. Plus, a moving company has only one job to be done, that is, move your stuff without breaking it. That's it, that's all. One job, and they couldn't get it done. But in my opinion the worst thing happened when the bill arrived. The movers took 2h30min to load the truck. Two movers loading the truck and one doing the inventory. Since our belongings stayed in their storage for 3 months we couldn't see when they were unloading. So, we assumed that it would take less than 2h30min since they would unload with 3 movers. They originally charged us for a total of 8 hours. Maybe it was just my experience, but I would not and I WILL not recommend this company to anyone that I know.

Moving is one of the most stressful things in life and emotions tend to run high. Usually a move is symbolic with either going up or down. You want movers to show up and help you deal not only with the move but have the patience for your range of emotions and concerns. You want them to be nice, honorable and trustworthy. They are handling some of your most precious belongings often items that have been passed on from one generation to the next. My mother sold our childhood home after my father passed away. It was a very difficult and trying time. She hired Meldrum Movers based on friends referring her to them and they were kind, patient and extremely efficient. I recently had a small move basically from one unit to another in the same building. Although many moving companies would not consider such a move to be worth their time, Meldrum went ahead and took such great care of me. The guys were professional and kind. They took care of everything so I had no worries. There are all sorts of movers that show up at peoples doors every day. Meldrum are the "good guys" and that is why they were entrusted to move me and my Mom and all of our friends and relatives. A smooth move is a good move.

Meldrum provided us with a terrible service. We moved overseas. Prior to our move their assessor came by to see how much furniture we had to move and later gave us a quote. We accepted this quote and signed a contract. Fast forward to moving day, we are informed that the size of our container is too small for the amount of furniture we have and we need to get a bigger sized container, which in turn was an extra 4000$! This all happened on the day we were moving! After much negotiating and arguing, they charged us 3000$ instead. I called the owners of the company to complain about the poor assessment but never heard back from either if them. Why we were asked to pay more because their incompetent assessor miscalculated our volume of furniture, I will never know. As far as packing is concerned, it was a complete disaster. They packed garbage cans filled with garbage, misplaced screws and other small parts for beds which we had to purchase again, folded suits in 3 rather than place them in hanging wardrobes and the list goes on. I found the entire experience to be very disappointing and would definitely not recommend Meldrum to anyone. I used them because I thought they were professionals, I was sorely mistaken.

After the fact it was Overpriced, they lost my glass cabinet doors said they were going to try to find them and it’s been over a month and a half and I’ve heard nothing back since OK Paul got back to me he’s giving me $60 towards the glass doors, I think it’s just a shame I don’t even know where to start to get glass cabinet doors or how much they cost but it’s better than nothing…I was about to give up????

Definitely 5 stars service. We had a commercial move with a few huge and heavy equipment (max 750 LB) with Meldrum. Luc from the planning side did a good job and close follow up even he was out sick, Natalie from the head office gave extremely useful advices of getting parking permit, and on the moving day, Eric and his team (5 guys) had everything done in 4.5 hours, amazing service quality and impressed speed of moving all pièces source to destination without any damage, coordinated with the glass window remover from a different company without any issue, all team members were very nice and gentle, Eric had to lie down on the floor to figure out a way to remove the wheels in order for 2 big tall fridges to come out of a small back room, sweating so much but not a single negative words or complaint. Our move was much of a success because of Meldrum and Eric's team.

Just had a fantastic move with Meldrum from NDG in Montreal to Newmarket, Ontario. The crew that moved me from Montreal was experienced, incredibly efficient and kind. The driver did a fantastic job of packing my prints and some sentimental artwork. The guys completed the job in record time and were incredibly respectful. The unloading at my new place went just as well, despite the fact that only two men were here. They brought everything in excellent shape, set up what was needed and were very clean in the process. **I was contacted by management and I am pleased to say that this issue was resolved quickly and in a professional manner. I would recommend them seeing how this was handled.** Very unprofessional, did not honor their contract, showed up extremely late and over charged. Was given a price from Phil of 165/hr which I have on contract for 3 men and a truck. What I got was not as promised. The move took 6hrs to complete and I was over charged by 20$/hr even after talking with Phil on the phone that night explaining the price I was given on my contract was not the price i was charged. He told me that I should be lucky they didn't charge me overtime, meanwhile they were the late ones showing up 5hrs later. Seeing that it was past midnight I just paid them. Very unprofessional and not true to their words. Will never recommend them to anyone.

Used Meldrum to move about 240 pieces from Montreal to Calgary in December 2013. The salesman lied in saying that he would travel with the moving truck and deliver by December 10;. He did not. Goods were not received for another 12 days, forcing us to find alternative accommodation. I signed for receiving the number of pieces and it took us over two months to find that one of the pieces was marked for someone else in WINNIPEG whose stuff was delivered before ours. We phoned the driver and he said he would fix the mix-up and recover ours. The claim for our missing articles was denied for late filing.

Used them in 2011 and they were wonderful. Numbered every box. Used them again in 2016 and we still don’t know exactly how much they stole from us. We know it’s 3 appliances and a major tool (dolly/handruck). They didn’t number boxes. Luckily, the first box I wanted to unpack after the move was our coffee machine, which I couldn’t find anywhere despite it being clearly labeled on the box. Realized what happened and wrote an angry email to our rep, and the box magically appeared on their truck (even though they had another job right after ours). But over the weeks, months, more and more things couldn’t be found. Mostly small appliances in labeled boxes. They didn’t use numbers for our move. It was pouring rain and we felt terrible and tipped them each way more than we planned. And they stole from us. And admitted the part of that we confronted them about.

This was our third move with Meldrum during the past eight years. As always, the team was punctual, courteous, and arrived with supplies to protect the floors and hand rails. They loaded and unloaded the truck rapidly and we had absolutely no issues. We would never go with any other company. Avoid the additional stress of moving - never take a fly-by-night company just to save a few dollars - it isn't worth it as we discovered some years ago. Very good experience with Meldrum, would recommend them. They sent an extra mover because of the intense heat wave and all four guys were polite and happy to be there. The move was completed quickly and efficiently: about 3.5 hours for a small 4 1/2. We paid a bit more than the original quote but it wasn't unreasonably expensive. My only small complaint was that one mover left behind a cigarette butt in the backyard of the old apartment.

They arrived without boxes, I had to do my boxes quickly with what I had at home. The movers who have no coordination, no efficiency - only 1 works and the other 2 watch him, repeatedly. They arrived at my storage and did not want to go up the steps, because "dangerous" according to them, it is my father and I who had to do all the work; we filled the truck alone, with the 3 movers watching us do it. I just wanted to drop a quick note to thank you for a stress free move. My family and I have become somewhat of experts on the subject of moving, after moving 6 times in 5 years, including 2 cross-country/cross border moves. This past move involved moving half our belongings to the duplex above our old house, and the other half going into storage, until our new house is ready for us to move in in mid-November. A special shout out to Robert, whose professional and pleasant demeanor made the move a really stress free and pleasant move.

I hired this company for a relatively easy in-city move (packing and moving). Although the packers and movers did a decent job and one of them was really nice to my household, they didn't re-install all the bedroom furniture and noticeably scratched a credenza. The representative's behaviour, however, was worse. She promised things (ex. I will be there on packing and moving day) but did not show up nor notify us that she was unable to come. She also seemingly forgot to include the move of the washer/dryer in her evaluation for the movers, but they thankfully elected to move them without issue. I wrote a letter to the Vice-President (Paul Filgiano) explaining the issues, particularly the lack of respect from the representative. He quickly replied that he didn't have access to my file but would get back to me a few days later. After a few weeks, having heard nothing, I followed up with him by email but still did not receive a response. Clearly, he didn't see it as necessary to acknowledge these issues or even to apologize. From the reviews here, it's clear that Meldrum the Mover does a very good job for certain individuals and when there are issues, management sees fit to answer complaints from them. The company just doesn't seem to do it for all. I would encourage anyone to try and find out where you fall before paying for this company's services. Lastly, I do not want to see any response from management here or through my email. The time for a respectful conversation on your company's failings has long passed, and your message was received loud and clear. Now is the time for me to share.

Moving - the Four "C" Words In the interest of full disclosure, this testimonial is a voluntary review of our recent move with Meldrum the Mover. While the review was solicited, the tone of it is entirely my own. There was no request by the principles of Meldrum’s to present a review of their operations in a favourable light or to emphasis any particular aspect. The reader should also know that I am acquainted with the Filgiano family, more so with the previous generation but our acquaintanceship with the current generation of management stops short of social interaction. Finally, our move was in the category of an “across town” move thus Meldrum’s had full control over all aspects of the move and therefore performed to their own standards. What follows is a review of the four critical components of moving household and personal effects. Cost. Let's deal with this first. Paul Filgiano, the guy in the Meldrum the Mover commercial on CJAD, gave me the quote - along with two other movers (always get three quotes). The bill was within $55 off the quote! You've all heard about the mover who upped the price at the curb before unloading the truck. Meldrum is too classy to do that; they have history! Confidence. Before the move you need to have confidence in three things. 1. Confidence that the moving team know how to do their job: they did, 2. Confidence that nothing will be lost or broken: there wasn't and 3. Confidence that they guy who set the price knew what he was doing: he did. After the move your satisfaction level gets measured by the result which and comes in three levels; Competance. This is what you are buying. When the moving crew turns up on time and each man introduces himself, looks to straight in the eye, shakes your hand and smiles, you know you have a good team. Why? because making eye contact is the precuser of honesty and the smile and handshake shows they are not hung over! After a quick 10 minute tour of the house by the "crew chief", floor protection mats were rolled out, furniture blankets stacked for use and lots and lots of tape rolls to hold the blankets in place were strategically placed for quick use. The crew worked in pairs, each pair moving wrapping, carrying and stowing the furniturte on the truck under the ever watchful eye of the crew chief. The whole exercise was a classic exhibition of competanceand experience. Unloading worked the same way, the only difference being my eagle eyed wife at the door checking everything for damage as items came in and directing the item to its appropriate room. Appliance were located and levelled,bed frames assembled and head boards attached. If a piece was located in the wrong place, it got moved to the right place before the crew left. Conclusion: For anyone who grew up in the '60's (and for those who didn't; I am sorry you missed it!), there was a song titled "Put you hand in the hand of the man". If you are going to move anywhere soon, be it anything between a five bedroom house or a one room condo, across town, across the continent or to amother planet; talk to Paul Filgiano at Medrum the Mover and "put your stuff in the care of the men who work for Meldrums" (that even fits the melody - with apologies to Gene MacLellan) .

We had completed renovations in our new house and I was worried about any damages done during the move and I expressed my concern to the team lead. Moved 20" from Montreal to Toronto and paid 4000.00 !! Multiple items were damaged, many which are irreplaceable. Now to justify the cost of re-upholstering a Cameo hide-a-bed they are asking for proof of ownership as well as the original invoice. This piece of furniture was in mint condition and was purchased by my Daughter's Great Grandmother. She passed away in 1996. Now what? Stay away - anything to avoid paying a claim.

Everyday I wish that I had never hired them and feel that I have a duty to warn others. It started with the movers about to pull away after having loaded my goods and telling me that their numbering tickets had 'fallen into a mud puddle that morning' and that they would inventory the goods that afternoon and have it emailed to me and asked me to sign blank inventory sheets. After a few days with no response, I tried to get a hold of the inventory sheets and were told they were with the driver. After more days of no response, I contacted Allied Van Lines and was told no paperwork had been filed as of yet. I got a call when I was visiting a friend in the States saying my stuff was being delivered. the perpetually unpleasant and controlling manager Josh told me it was overweight but not by how much and that 'maybe there was a problem with the scales in Montreal and it would be reweighed' (it never was). As I was not there to receive it, supposedly it was waiting for me in a company that they use for storage in Edmonton. I paid for a trip to Edmonton to see my goods and sort it out. My stuff was not there (it was supposed to be) and no-one had any idea where it was. 3 more emails to that were ignored by Josh until I had to leave and received a very expensive bill for 3740 pds when he dumped my goods at the storage place and did not even bother to call me (he knew I was leaving Edmonton the next day).. My original quote ( a sales person had eyeballed my goods in person) was for 1800 pds. I tried to explain that I had a 'stuffed' locker the same size that had been weighed for 1200 pds. so I did not understand how it could be so heavy. I also had requested the movers drop off any furniture at a donation centre and that my previously weighed goods included furniture. No response so I called the customer service manager of where it was being stored who told me that more than a 10 percent difference would be an automatic re-weighing and that she would contact Josh to re-weigh and adjust the bill. I was in Vancouver supposedly flying out to a new job and postponed it to pay my way to Edmonton to see my goods (as I was concerned over loss by this point). Josh forbade me to see my goods or enter the company where they were being stored at. The customer service manager was not returning my calls or emails. I went overseas, ended up being fired for showing up late,Threats and bullying emails from Josh. I was about to sue them in small claims court by this time. I returned to Canada. Josh finally relented to the original quoted price, (after threatening to move my goods back to Montreal and dump them) I paid to go to Edmonton to receive my goods. A TV box (with laptop and speakers) was missing, more missing goods, locks missing, 3 tables I had shipped from Saudi Arabia destroyed etc. I emailed Josh to let him know as would be customery. More rude and abusive emails. The movers who delivered my goods told me that they witnessed the mover delivering it creating the inventory lists at that time and putting down damaged goods as having been damaged when picked up so they created inventory lists specifying the damage. I just tried to file a claim online with Allied and not working son fitting. end ...

Worst move I have had. Service poor from beginning to end. They lost a bedspread--two months later they say it has been found and will be delivered sometime. Excellent experience with Meldrum. My dad moved from Montreal to Waterloo Ontario, and I made all the arrangements from Waterloo. My contact with Paul was very professional and the estimate we got was almost perfect. The packers showed up exactly at the time promised, and were courteous and fast. The next day the movers were at the apartment at the exact time promised and were done in a very short period of time. Delivery in Waterloo was about 1.5 hours later than promised, but Sebastien the driver called several times to update us and it was not a big problem for us. Everything arrived as it was supposed to. No items were damaged, and the movers even removed any boxes and paper that we had unpacked as they delivered. All things considered, the move turned out to be the least of our concerns. We would recommend Meldrum to anyone.

While, Mr Paul Filigiano, might be a great guy, his crew - very nice and courteous - were thoroughly unprofessional. We had a 20 ft container (Int'l shipment) that was released right near the deadline and even though we rushed to get the customs clearance on time, these folks missed the pickup and we had to pay for the day's demurrage charge. The story doesn't end there. The crew came - late January 2012 - WITHOUT any carpets or floor protection and brought in all the salt and snow from outside, scratching the brand new hardwood flooring. Unfortunately, it was either we accepted that state of being ill equipped by the crew or send the container back. Either way, we lost. An apology email doesn't 'undamage' the floors. Edit | May 12, 2016 | Note: no monetary or other compensation has been received for this edit. Hats off to, Mr Filigiano, who made contact and we rehashed the situation. Any individual who has the courtesy to call back a previously unhappy customer, genuinely willing to sort things out, is worth giving your business to. In light of all the +ve experiences vs the -ve, this review has been reevaluated.
