Moved with this company twice through work. The first time was from Canada to the United States (2017). The truck did not arrive until two weeks after what originally was stated. The truck driver apparently put the fuel in the wrong tank. Instead of going out of their way to make arrangements for an alternative truck, they seemed to care more about saving a buck. They did, however, compensate us some money back for a hotel over a week into this delay. It was tough as we had a two month old at the time. Moving back from the US was better initially. The truck only arrived 5 days after we had arrived at our new house, still within the window (mind you, the very last day, which you would think after the last experience that it would be ASAP). It was a cold day when we were being moved in, but only one of the workers truly was working hard. The other three endured the cold more because of their lack of effort. I carried half the boxes upstairs myself. I wanted to give these guys a second chance, and while there was some improvement the second time, I would steer clear of this company. Just not worth the hassle or risk. Pay a little bit more for a better experience.
Professional Booking Staff, the dispatch agents followed up and were attentive to the details of splitting a move across the country, and the movers themselves were polite, efficient, and professional!!! I would absolutely recommend Trans Canada Movers, and will use them again!
Move: Vancouver to Toronto. Shipped my motorcycle which is in pristine condition, Mac desktop computer, 55" TV, and all my other belongings. The process was worrisome the entire time, but when I got my stuff, it was completely perfect. They wrapped my mattress, bicycle, and motorcycle in such a way that no damage could possibly occur. I was honestly relieved as hell when I finally saw my stuff again, because I was really nervous. There's so many bad reviews for moving companies out there, which is why I felt I should leave this positive review. The price was right at $1100 as well. 100% will use again in the future should the situation call for it. Great job guys. Thanks!
Great experience using this company to assist my family in making out big move north ????????From the initial consultation on the phone to the sales team, until the arrival of our goods I was very impressed with this service. I would definitely recommend these guys!
I recruited Trans Canada movers for my long distance move from Calgary to Toronto. My sales associate was Christian who performed his work in a decent manner. Workers are fast and professional. I got only my floor lamp damaged upon delivery. The down side of their business in my opinion is the lack of organization and communication. Things go south the moment they pick up your items. You don't hear back from them and there is no update. The delivery took 23 days. Calgary to Toronto is 6 days drive at max and I was told upon signing up that the expected delivery is 10 to 14 days. It took me overall 18 emails and 5 phone calls between Christian and Mark to figure out the delivery date. Several boxes were wet and crushed. No serious damage to my belonging though. I would recommend this company for long distance moves only if you have plenty of time and you know how to pack your items really well.
I moved from Vancouver to Toronto with trans canada and they were fantastic. Very professional and they went the extra mile to wrap and package my furniture items to prevent damage. Everyone was super nice and the folks at the head office (especially Mike) were great with communication which reduced my stress. Would highly recommend!
We moved from Toronto to Vancouver in 2021 and used Trans Canada Movers, referred from a friend. Our account manager was not responsive at all; and I had to proactively call multiple times to get a hold of them and arrange our move. Most unfortunately, they lost my partner’s box of valuables and was not helpful when we tried to inquire and see how we can find the box. The move itself was fine but extremely disappointed that they lost one of our boxes.

Great service from start to finish. Tammy was clear and transparent on the costs upfront. The driver Sam was great. The local movers on both ends were fantastic, particularly James and his team in Kelowna. Our stuff cleared customs no problem. Every step of the way Tammy kept us informed of progress. A first class experience all round.
I recently used their service to move from Vancouver to California and they are very professional and helpful. I worked with Conor and he clearly guided me through the process, and also helped me in preparing required documentation for custom etc.,
Good all round moving experience from Vancouver to Toronto. They were understanding of our last minute need to store our furniture for a couple of months while we secured our new home in a New City.
These guys helped me move across the country last month. Their sales team was very helpful in explaining to me the moving process, and were very responsive to any questions I had. My belongings were handled with care and the movers were very friendly when they picked up my stuff.
Absolute BEST! Trans Canada helped us move from Portand Oregon to Canada and they were WONDERFUL! Moving is extremely stressful, but Trans Canada made it easy! Conor in their Vancouver Office provided excellent service, and the movers were on time, courteous, and professional. Our belongings were packed, shipped and delivered on time, in great condition and at a great price! Highly recommended :)
Moved from Seattle to Coquitlam just before Christmas and the guys did a fantastic job!
Excellent Service
Unfortunate that I actually have to give 1 star in order to post. Firstly, the move was hired out to 2 Small Men (prior customer), who then subcontracted it out to Trans Canada Movers without saying anything. Similar to other complaints I have seen about this moving company, there was an inflated weight charged for. When we finally got the weigh tickets the "empty" one was dated almost 3 months before the move date. The "full" one was 3 hours after the truck left. The company location is within 5 mins of the weigh scale they use; and 30 mins from our pickup location. Basically, you have no idea what truck was weighed. I find this practice highly questionable. As well, the load was held ransom, similar to other reviews I have read here. The police were called to keep the peace; also to keep them from taking off with the load. The contract says payment on delivery; however, their interpretation is the load stays in the truck until they are paid in full - based on those weigh tickets. This company had been charging us for almost 1000 lbs extra, in the area of $700. I would never hire this company or recommend them to anyone.
I would highly recommend using this company over and above all the others. I contacted 3 potential movers and made the right decision to go with Trans Canad Movers. There are other companies that create an elaborate process accompanied by aggressive salesmanship; communicating with Conor, sales rep at Trans Canada was simple, pleasant and without those overtones. He ensured quality assurance throughout by checking in at each stage. Moving across the country with all your worldly belongings is stressful - my move went smoothly with amazing customer service throughout each step. At both ends, from Vancouver to Toronto, moving staff were professional and friendly making the experience positive. The value for money is perfect and I am another satisfied customer.
My experience with Trans Canada Movers was excellent. They handled everything professionally in preparation for the transportation of my belongings from Vancouver to Los Angeles all while I was already in California. Great service, I was amazed how quickly my belongings arrived and the costs were less than I expected.
Excellent service. Great communication. On time and stayed to schedule. Everything well wrapped and in fantastic shape. They took needed items apart and put them back together on other end. Completely satisfied and would use them again. Special thanks to our salesperson, Dennis, who arranged almost everything for us starting from day one and did take a really good care of us.
My family has just gone through a tragedy n we moved 3 Times in past one year. I thought I could refer this company with my eyes closed for their professionalism but they turned out to be the most unkind n harsh blame shifting people when it comes to dealing with complaints. The communication to schedule my move was great n i decided to stick to them because of my past experience. Even though they were pricier than other quotes I had received. Terrible customer service. Rude n disrespectful people. They treat you as if you are lying about your damages caused by the delivery men. They damaged my walls, floor, broke my tall lamp n dishes too were broken. Which they conveniently refused to accept coz they didn't pack them of course. I filled up a claim form right away with pictures and send a detailed email n there was a zero response I followed up but the guy who calls himself the In charge is super rude, he didn't apologise instead he presented himself as if he's doing a personal favor to me by attending to my damages. I thought he was a nice man as he did my previous two moves. He made me literally break into tears with his behaviour. I will never ever recommend this company. I wish there was an option to give minus 0 rating.
My husband and I called Trans Canada Movers inquiring about moving fees and scheduling. We were concerned about a trustworthy company. We spoke with Jake, the Sales Agent and we were impressed with his skills and expertise. Jake informed us as to the cost of transporting our personal and household items, scheduling and pickup and drop off services. Jake was very polite, courteous and professional. We appreciate him for easing our minds. Thank you, we appreciate you! Bev Richards- Meyer.
This is the BEST moving company EVER! I am so picky and always worried about getting scammed with all these moving companies out there but TRANSCANADA MOVERS made my move from Vancouver to Toronto such a breeze! Christian has the BEST customer service ever. He was so informative and answered all my questions. Hes always on top of his game! He also helped me organize my vehicle shipment as well. I can defintely say i trust this company and christian 100% with my move. won't go to any other moving company ever again!
Service for me has been excellent - with a lot of flexibility and understanding being shown by Tammy and team on my San Diego to Vancouver move, and back again (which is really essential when dealing with cross-border shipping complexities). The move team was punctual, friendly, efficient and did a great job protecting the goods. Not sure why all the negative comments on here, but I know I personally have been a total pain to Tammy and she's beared with me very well throughout. These people leaving reviews are describing characteristics that are completely the opposite to my experiences. Sounds more like they've had a hard time with customs, weight, or whatever - and they are literally blaming the messenger for it. TransCanada do the job well, have plenty experience, are extremely accommodating, and are at a good price point. Sure it can be a complex process moving between countries, but little of that is generally their fault.
Great service! Moved from Burnaby to Toronto and Mike was very helpful. The price he quoted me at was very accurate to the price I paid after the move. Nothing broken since everything was expertly wrapped. Could not have been happier! Highly recommend Trans Canada.
WORST SERVICE EVER. They packed my stuff in Vancouver on July 21 with destination Halifax. It has been 33 days now and my move has not arrived yet!. Communication from them is nil and the times I called to enquire they lied to me every time.
These people extorted me for one year. TransCanada movers charged me $400 a month storage fees without my Acknowledgement or consent. TransCanada movers requested medical records to prove unemployment due to injury. That person was later let go according to the owner. All my stuff was not returned in proper order things are missing things are broken. This Hutch in the photo provided below clearly shows the damage and how they broke into the lock part of it and stole everything. My father's passport watches expensive pens pieces of gold ect...... The response is subjective and threatening itself of legislation. I have tried many times to get insurance that I paid on my merchandise to be recovered. TransCanada movers are thieves. They will loot your property. They will accept zero responsibility as you can see in the review.
Nightmare City!!!!. READ ALL before making your decision. They might be good for Moving in Canada but we had them Move us from Palm Desert Ca. U.S.A. to Surrey B.C. Canada. They were told that we were in Canada but that we had someone to let them in the house, to allow them to go and move some of our stuff. They agreed to pack up and move everything. As we had no one to advise them as to what we wanted moved. We arranged and sent them a 10 page list of what was to be packed and moved in each room of the house. They agreed to send down to their partners in the U.S.A. copies of this list and to make it part of the contract. Well the day of the move, we found out that the movers hadn't the list and I had to take the head mover through each room and tell him what to pack and what to leave behind. But his cell phone went dead and I had no way of finishing the conversation. End result. They brought up over 200 cu. ft. of stuff that we were giving to the Salvation Army. They left Items that we needed , sent up half a Vacuum and electrical appliances without their cords. Broken and damaged goods as well. When we tried to get them to come to an agreement of fixing and replacing the goods. They told us that they wouldn't honour the contract as they didn't consider the list of goods that we sent them to be part of the agreement and that we should have been there to supervise. End result. They told us in person that they wanted to go to court so that their Errors and Omissions Insurance would pay for everything rather than they should pay out of their own pockets. This means we will have to wait as long as it takes the courts to get to our case. Anywhere from 2 to 3 years. In the meantime they are doing NOTHING. I would like to reach out to Trans Canada Movers. Though Google. Dear Owners. As of this date we have Heard Nothing from you. The fact that Your Man in Palm Desert admits that He didn't have the list with him. Is more than just a simple mistake. We lost about $4,000.00 worth of goods that weren't delivered "AND PAID FOR OVER 200 CUBIC FEET OF GOODS THAT WERE NOTHING MORE THAN Garbage", such as a 2 cubic box filled with plastic empty bottles from Mayonaise jars , the center board of the dining room table. One dining room chair, half a vacuum cleaner, 3 end tables Etc. Negotiations are one sided. Originally we asked for the damaged goods to be fixed or replaced. You agreed to that and we are still waiting. We asked for money back equalling 200 cubic feet, you offered only after much back and forth 100 cubic ft refund. Nothing as to the missing goods. Stop saying that you want to resolve this issue. Give us the money for the 200 cubic ft charged and finally do the repairs. Small claims court will not be kind to you and I'm sure when it comes out that you pushed to go to court to have your Errors and Omissions Insurance cover your losses. As a former Insurance Agent, I will not be surprised if they cancel your policy and refuse to pay. Trans Canada did reply as you can see below. However we did check all our emails and tel. messages and found only the one offering mediation as we state below. They also replied by email directly to us. Suggesting Mediation by one of their Mediators. Trans Canada's response was, "Mediation" This would take up to 3 days and a cost of $350 to $500.00 an hour. Even split by both parties that could still be about $2,000.00 each. Why would they want to mediate, which still guarantees a payment to us. Just unknown amount. When were asking for less than what the Mediator will charge. Also how do we know that the Mediator that they have chosen isn't one of their own? Final Outcome: In Dec. 2020 we put in a dispute with our Visa. After 3 months of providing additional information. Asked by Chase, We received a letter stating that After reviewing all the data, and communicating directly with TCM. Chase decided that our dispute was valid and awarded us back the full premium charged at the time. $9,800.00. We offered TCM $5210.00 , they accepted.
Made my first long distance moving experience a breeze. Easy booking led to an easy move, very satisfied with the service I received.
Moved my home stuff/boxes from Ontario, Canada to California, USA using their service, got everything on time and well in place, nothing was broken or lost. Very professional and highly recommend! Mike was the guy I was communicating with and he was very helpful and always reachable!
My family and I used Trans Canada movers for a move from San Francisco to Victoria, BC. Our consultant at Trans Canada, Conor, was fantastic. Pricing was clear, and the team was reliable. Trans Canada also managed all the import work at the border, and understood what needed to get it done. I'd highly recommend them for any US to Canada moves. Thank you Trans Canada team!
Long story short, they never showed up. Like, my wife and I standing in the driveway, everything in our apartment in boxes, waiting for the movers to arrive. Worst part is I had to call them to find out that a truck had broken down and that they did not know when they could get here - they didn't even reach out to us! I get that things happen like trucks breaking down; that's out of their control and not necessarily their fault. But how does a big moving company have no backup plan? No extra trucks? No local affiliates? Eventually we were told not to count on them, so we moved ourselves....in the middle of the night....in a U-Haul. We get a call the next day that they may be able to rent a truck and come get us the following afternoon, by which time it would be way too late. At least the operator was pretty nice on the phone. One star for that. Otherwise, for a move that was already stressful enough, this was a nightmare scenario across the board.
If you are planning to move internationally be very careful using this company. Their sales agent will do all the smooth talking to get your business and then will send another company in Toronto who has an “F” rating by BBB to pick up your shipment. The agent will wash his hands and will not do anything because according to “ the contract” you are contracted with the Toronto office which is not even under the same company name. After 41 days of going back and forth I finally got my shipment but it was like fighting tooth and nail. This Toronto office warehouse person or the owner was extremely rude. A crying baby. Everyday had a reason for not shipping my stuff. Ice snow, snow blizzard, icy roads, extreme cold that he couldn’t open the door and the list goes on and on, I wondered all these days he was making excuses, did Canada highway safety shut down the roads? Because for sure everything else was operating but this guy’s trucks. He kept my belonging as a hostage till he could find more shipments to deliver together. Finally the day they were supposed to be in Los Angeles arrived and we talked several times on that day and he promised he will deliver by 2 PM, I’m driving for 90 mins to get home from work he calls me at 1:30 pm and says no he won’t deliver because my condo Street is too narrow and he can’t send a 70’ long truck there. I was devastated like you knew my address for over a month now you are telling me you have to rent a smaller truck and I’m already almost home why you are telling me this now. Make the long story short he was supposed to come back the next day with a smaller truck but the next morning he texts me that the driver parked his truck in a street that has been blocked because of gas pipeline bursting!!!! For the entire day he couldn’t get out!!!! Then it came the third day, he had the audacity to text me if I’m not home by 2 PM the driver will leave at 2:05 pm!!! Well guess what happens? The driver shows up with the same 70’ long truck, blocks my street, people can’t pass by, people were cursing at the driver It was an ugly scene, bottom line is the sales agent from Vancouver is absolutely useless, deceiving for not telling you that him and his company has nothing to do with your shipment and you are on your own. And when I called him he kept saying it has been very clear to you that you are dealing with a different company and we have nothing to do with it. My question was no I didn’t pick up this Toronto company, you sent them to me as your Toronto office now that I have no where to go you can’t even offer me a solution? 41 days of waiting and waiting for a shipment to come is unheard of and for sure this company is a true classic example of a moving nightmare. I was deceived by their A ratings from BBB which I question that rating now. I wish instead of looking at BBB ratings I had read google reviews here.
I was not impressed with their customer service. Their representative was somewhat rude over our phone conversations. I had requested a quote for shipping my car. They took 3 months to get back to me. They did however provide a quote promptly for everything else. They had also offered to pack my computer for free which was great. However, I would not recommend them for moves under 500 lbs. I would recommend shipping via Greyhound shipping instead as you will get a better price and more professional service.
Trans Canada movers were great to work with - I moved from Vancouver to Washington recently. They were quick & efficient at pick up, really responsive when coordinating the dates & location of the move. And their delivery & delivery people were top notch. Loved working with Conor who patiently answered all my questions through email & on phone. Overall, would recommend them to everyone.
Great staff (had the pleasure to work with Mike, funny guy), incredibly helpful with organizing my move from Los Angeles to Vancouver. Making the decision to move - especially during COVID was already very difficult but the team at Trans Canada made the entire process a breeze. Also, the crew on-site was friendly and very professional. 100% would recommend them for moving cross-border during these times!
I'd recommend Trans Canada Movers Inc heartily. Representatives were easy to get a hold of and pleasant discussing moving details with. The staff at various points was personable and available via phone and email. Move was made efficiently and contents arrived safely and within a reasonable window for delivery. Definitely worth getting an estimate from - and your serious consideration for moving needs!
Moved with these guys on short notice, was impressed with the service and experience. Took good care of my furniture.
Great service. We used them for a move across the country during the middle of winter and everything was delivered on time and in great condition.
Task: a complex move from the US (two pickup locations in different states, then temporary storage) to Canada (destination not firm at the time of move and was communicated later on) Pros: Communication: I really value efficient communication and prompt effective follow-up. To me Trans-Canada was talking to Tammy and getting things done. Tammy was super-efficient, considerate and on-it. We exchanged a lot of emails and calls to coordinate the move and in the end it all went as planned ... mostly. Execution: Things happened as predicted and communicated, despite third party involvement, temporary storage and customs (mostly). Reading prior reviews, there is a lot of effort and investigation that goes into an international move and there's just not enough research one can do about customs and what the actual process looks like for your house hold goods and your vehicles. Please please look-up real world experiences and people describing the process in forums, it will give you great insights. I, personally, would not completely rely on the moving company to tell me all the details, I don't think that's fair. Fairness: I did look around for a few quotes and did actually have a guy come out and assess moving goods in person. While I can't for sure say the price charged to me was great, I don't think it was too bad either given the complex move and extra communication involved. At the time of move, the destination in Canada were two possible cities with almost coast to coast distance. I was quoted one amount irrespective of the destination. It just happened that the final destination was closer to storage, and I was charged the amount that I was initially quoted. Cons: Boxes: Be sure that boxes will be stacked on top of each other, so put extra tape around the top, bottom and middle (like a wood barrel) to keep the box together. I used home depot boxes, and at delivery majority of them were squished and bursting at seams. These were clothes boxes. I used sturdier boxes for kitchen and appliances and did mark them as fragile, and thankfully there were only minor casualties. The scanner bed of multifunction printer did crack but my very thin OLED TV (packed in manufacturer's box and materials) did make it here in one piece. None of my stuff was packed by trans-canada and thus none was insured beyond the standard insurance. Motorcycle: this is specific to motorcycle or your vehicle being transported. There was a specific amount quoted as "Customs" in the invoice. While I took care of my car's export from US and import into Canada (RIV, clear title, export at US border), as we drove the car into Canada, I was relying on Trans Canada to do the same at the border for my motorcycle which was with my household goods, it was communicated as well and for that reason I provided MC's title to the driver and Tammy ensured that it gets passed on during the move. This was not done at the border, and I had to deal with it when clearing the customs at Canada destination while negotiating with the customs agent. Some aspects are irreversible and now can't be addressed. My motorcycle did arrive in the condition I sent it in, from what I could see. Bottom-line: I would recommend trans-canada for your moves, specifically working with Tammy. Just make everything very clear about customs and how the process will go in real time if you are not familiar with the cross-border move. Do not leave any detail unaddressed, especially for a vehicle. Cheers!
The ONLY reason I am giving 2 stars is because our driver that delivered was actually really good. Problem was, he wasn't the one packing our stuff in storage. When he came inside to check the progress of his helper, he freaked out at all of the wasted space in our unit. We ended up having to rent an additional storage unit to fit everything. Now, to the rest of the experience. Our original pickup date was 11/3-4, & we were told we'd have 24-48 hours notice before pickup. On 11/1 I got a call at noon that they'd be picking up 11/2 at 9am. So less than 24 hrs notice/a day+ ahead of schedule. I had to enlist help to go into a mad scramble to finish everything that night (which didn't happen, I was still packing the next day). Truck got packed, & went on its way. Were told 3-4 weeks for delivery, but possibly earlier. Ended up being a little over one week. We were called & told either 11/11-12, & that we'd receive a call 24-48 hours ahead. 11/12 came & still no call. 11/13 we got a call that 11/14 would be the delivery. I was driving from the US to Canada that week, so my fiance was going to be the one to receive the goods at customs. We were told this wouldn't be an issue, they just needed the paperwork signed by him and a copy of his passport (which we sent to them). Cut to that day, he goes to border services, & they tell him he can't sign for the goods, b/c they're not his, plus we're supposed to have a B4 form filled out with the value of all of the goods (we were never told this). Trans Canada tries to get him to just pay the penalty fee, to keep it moving. They initially asked him just to say it was his stuff, that people do it all the time. They then called me & asked why he didn't lie & say it was his stuff & claimed that we'd had this discussion that he would need to do that. Had that discussion ever happened, I would've used a different company. I've waited 4 years for my immigration, I'm not going to screw anything up by lying to customs. So the stuff got dropped at a warehouse. Dispatch called me to let me know this, & told me the reason the stuff got rejected wasn't because my fiance wouldn't lie & say it was his, but that he didn't know my status as a Canadian resident. That's when I REALLY lost it. As I said, we've been working on this for 4 years. A LOT of emotional turmoil, patience, tears, etc. have gone into this journey & there is ZERO chance he didn't know what to tell border services about that. So the fact I was being blatantly lied to just because they didn't want to admit they'd screwed up by not telling us all of the things we would need (& that my fiance couldn't receive the goods) sent me over the edge. Every single phone call we got - between the rep in BC/dispatch/driver - was telling a different story about what the issue was. They didn't communicate on what they wanted to blame it on, just that they wanted to blame it on us. My fiance spent the rest of the day on the phone with border services/the warehouse that the trailer was at, & they both told him to stop talking to the moving company. That they'd handle the communication from here. Both of them were flabbergasted at the gross incompetence of Trans Canada, & that they'd put us into this position. I got into town late Thursday night, & we spent all day Friday getting everything taken care of (driving between warehouse/border services to handle all of the paperwork). They both were amazing at helping everything go smoothly after this nightmare, & then we finally got everything taken care of at the storage unit. We ended up having to pay Trans Canada an additional $1500 for the delay that THEY caused thanks to that piece of paper they have you sign about delays at customs may result in additional fees. I'm assuming they do that so they can milk you for more by doing what they can to cause delays. I would never, ever, EVER recommend this company to anyone. They cause so much additional stress AND MONEY on top of what is already a huge move.
TCM were great for my move from Chicago to Vancouver. The items were well packed and arrived undamaged. The moving staff was very friendly and Conor (customer service) was incredibly responsive - keeping me posted on arrival times and logistics. Price was very decent for an international move. Can highly recommend TCM.
I had to move my apartment from Vancouver to the US virtually. That meant having someone pack up everything - including artwork and espresso machines! - without my being present! Very nerve-wracking, but communication w/Tammy was key and she ran everything with knowledge, precision and a sense of humor. In the end, very painless and everything appears to have arrived in once piece!! Highest marks!
Transcanada Movers confirmed that they would be coming to pickup my items but instead sent TransAtlas who are unfortunately so unprofessional. These guys have 100s of hidden charges which will make sure you have a perfect headache for your move. They have 100s of tricks to make sure they suck the money out of you. When they packed my items from my home they stacked all the boxes one on top of the other but when delivery they ensured they increase the space by scattering the boxes with fragile separately so that it adds the space.Never trust these guys, the trust i had is no more and would request everyone to have everything on black and white before moving with them. Communication wise I had to follow up lot of times. Since it was not TransCanada movers who made my move even though they promised I would have given less than 1 star because of the false promise they made.
From the lack of response time of the sales assisiate to the lack of knowledge and delivery times. . Horrible I moved across Canada with this company. . They first said 10 to 16 days . . It had now been a month. And my truck is still not here and I can call on the weekend to see if my truck has arrived and set up a delivery . Ontop of all the hidden fees . Charges for the extra boxes . Under quote on price. .I am extremely upset with this company and highly recommend not using this moving company . !!!!!!
Moved with this company twice through work. The first time was from Canada to the United States (2017). The truck did not arrive until two weeks after what originally was stated. We moved from SoCal to Calgary in November, and chose to go with Trans Canada Movers because we were impressed by how responsive they were when we were obtaining quotes for the move. Throughout the entire process, Mike & the rest of the TCM team were courteous and informative. Our stuff got stuck in Vancouver due to the heavy rains and flooding, and they were good about updating us whenever we called in. Thank you, Mike & team, for your great customer service!
I moved from Calgary to Vancouver in March of this year. I didn't have much time to meet my deadline. However, Super Don was my Agent. He made sure I was Gucci! He got my shipment pick up confirmed for the next. His team is amazing, Super Ray & Chris (Calgary) & Ray & Allen ( Vancouver). Ray gave great recommendations for my drive to BC which was my first experience. I'm so thankful to him for that, his advice made my experience memorable. I was also able to get my stuff like 2 hours later once I arrived in BC no Hang up. The guys I mentioned are a really great team & very professional & awesome customer Service. They make it happen!
Recently had an excellent experience with Trans Canada movers. Cheapest quote we found which did not fluctuate after the scaling. The guys who picked up the items were very polite, friendly and professional. Tammy R. in the head office was a pleasure to deal with. Would highly recommend using their service. No issues whatsoever! Thanks again for everything.
Trans Canada Movers helped to move my grandfather's things from Canada to Colorado--they were very communicative, kept us in the loop, and surprised us by being early! Especially with COVID and the closed borders, they were professional and helpful. Thanks Conor! -Rena and Sophie
Moved from Vancouver to Montreal with them. Was told it would take 2-3 weeks overall, it ended up taking 6+ weeks. Communication has been difficult, without any proactive updates from their part. I always had to call and nag the rep to get any bit of information, until I got confirmation of pickup and delivery dates, both times only the day before. Coordinating our family accommodations has been really difficult and stressful in the meantime. We ended up getting everything, with a few things broken, this was far from great service. Don't believe any time estimate from them, they've been the most unrealistic I've experienced.
They were incredibly late with all of my stuff and numerous items were broken when I received them. They also made a mistake when charging us and were completely unresponsive when we called about out stuff
Professional and great service! Staff were excellent at answering my questions. Made my move from Vancouver to Toronto a breeze. Would highly recommend!
Well done move! Right on the estimate. Movers were nice, they even brought us coffee. Thanks again for movers.. thanks Trans Canada. Hope I do not move soon, but I will use you guys again if I do.
Had a great experience with this company. There was some minor damage but it was dealt with in a very professional manner. Movers were friendly and courteous. Highly recommended!
From the preliminary stages in Phoenix, AZ right through to clearing my goods from customs in Mississauga, ON my move with Trans Canada Movers was seamless! Tammy and everyone involved with the company knew how to make this move happen with precision and experience. I would 100 percent recommend them!!
The journey began in early August in California and ended successfully in mid September with the delivery of our furniture and personal items in Ontario. Communication by TCM throughout the process from pick up to delivery was outstanding. Its driver teams are well chosen with excellent customer service attitudes in both countries. Goods were handled with care and delivered flawlessly upon arrival. Highly recommend its 5 Star performance between the USA and Canada to anyone making a similar move. Special thanks to Conor, our point man at TCM. Great job. Thank you.
If I could give a 100 star rating I would....our experience started with Tammy who was a huge ambassador for us & I"m sure for most of her clients. She researched and put a TON of effort into making our transition from the States to Canada an easy one. Her follow-up calls prior to the move and after were very much appreciated. I honestly think they need to change their business name to #TransCanadaExpertMoversInc - complete EXPERTS in moving. I can't leave out our AMAZING driver, he was punctual, lead the moving crew very systematically & with respect to our personal items. We thoroughly enjoyed working alongside him to get our items to our new home safely. I will not hesitate to refer and call on this company for my future moving needs. Keep up the great work Tammy - you are truly an asset to your company :) - The VanGurps
We used TransCanada Movers for our recent move from Dallas, Texas to Victoria, British Columbia. Aside from being about 30% less expensive than some of the other services we examined the quality of service was absolutely first rate and their communication was professional and impeccable. As someone who has moved countless times I highly recommend them.
Trans Canada Movers recently helped me relocate from Toronto to Vancouver and I couldn’t have asked for better service. Pricing was transparent, accurate and very reasonable for a cross-border move. Throughout the entire process, the team at TCM went above and beyond to provide the best possible moving experience. Sales staff were courteous, knowledgeable and communicated in a timely, professional manner. Mike did a fantastic job coordinating the details of the move, ensuring that the packing, loading and unloading went smoothly. The moving crew was efficient, professional and handled everything with great care- I was delighted to see that all of my belongings arrived safely and as scheduled with no damage whatsoever. I certainly recommend TCM to anyone looking to move across Canada or the US and will not hesitate to use their services again.
Helped me relocate my goods during a very confusing time from California to Ottawa. Fantastic company - the sales staff are very friendly and super helpful- made the whole process very simple and easy to understand - would highly recommend this company if you are looking to move cross border!
These guys are actually referred to me by one of the colleagues to be very good. I chose them even though they were most expensive than others. I was moving from Toronto to Vancouver and thought that I would rather pay more to get good service. Then seems professional when they were packing. They got a shock that they used boxes from their own and charged me $30/box. So had to agree as they had already boxed about 15-20 boxes. Upon arrival they damaged so much of our stuff and lost many as they never really delivered it. They said it’s at the warehouse but never got it. Put a claim and after deductibles didn’t get much refund. Had to replace so many things in house. I won’t recommend them for personal moving. So many cheap and better options out there.
First time using movers or moving away from immediate family. Pretty stressful so granted it's not easy. The process, in the end, wasn't so bad - all the stuff got to us. The reason I'm giving 2/5 is because the communication could of been better, was charged for boxes I didn't know I would need, and 3 items had to be left behind even though I was reassured 2x there was enough room (picture attached of the room that the truck with 3 boxes of our stuff loaded so far, just shows how much room they left for us - lol). I had items that I taped together, bubble wrapped like crazy, or just had a label on (like camping chairs) and they all had to go in a box according to TCM, so I was charged for boxes. The integrity of my sales rep was not great - constantly said he'd get back to me by x-time and didn't. I initially put for a studio (as I was living in one room with my stuff) and then corrected my self and told my rep that I might have more than that, was reassured it would all fit even so. During the quoting process, I mentioned the date we were leaving was June 16/17 and the drop off date would be July 1st and that we were flexible with the pickup date. We didn't find out the actual pickup date until the evening they were coming and we didn't get our stuff until July 9th - I basically begged to just get it here. Edit: The guys that came to get our stuff and the guy that dropped our stuff off - all amazing and genuinely nice, caring people. They all handled our stuff carefully. The sales rep that handles everything was NOT great. That's where this company is failing.
Amazing Experience ! I have recently used their services to move from California, USA to Vancouver, Canada. Let me reassure you, I was certainly worried, because I worry a lot. But they were on top of my concerns, they handled the moving very efficiently and they made the delivery of my belongings as scheduled. Excellent customer service, quickly answering my emails and calls. Would totally recommend them if you are considering moving.
My Fiance and I just moved from Vancouver to Toronto. We used Trans Canada Movers and there service was fantastic, right from the booking over the phone, to the movers packing our stuff, to the delivery in Toronto. Would recommend anyone looking to book a mover to book with Trans Canada Movers
I had a great experience with Trans Canada Movers. Very friendly and professional service. I would highly recommend them.
overall fair price, efficient service, definitely recommend their service, they came to my house and gave my husband a estimated price and we paid little less than what I was quoted. Thank you Trans Canada.
I had a good experience with this company I moved from edmonton on July 20th to ottawa and I received my furniture august 3rd thankfully everything came in one piece I had 2780 pounds and I paid 2300$ in total. The movers where very careful nice and helpful. only thing I was iffy about is that they said august 1st but because of the long weekend it took two more days. On another note make sure you keep your receipts on you because they do try to drag more money out of you it took us 30 min to get the right payments until they realised I wasn't giving up.
They broke lots of furniture, including crystal lamps and glass bowls. They refused to assemble the beds which they said they were going to do. They delivered the items two weeks later than they were supposed to. They took weeks to respond to calls. Do not recommend at all. They did not do anything right.
Utilized Trans Canada Movers for my move from Canada to the US. They were great! Very professional and responsive. Filled out all the appropriate paperwork and arrived exactly when they said they would without any damage to my furniture. Would definitely utilize them again.
I have moved internationally several times, and this was by far, the worst experience. It was a nightmare planning and scheduling with Trans Canada Movers Inc. They provided a 5 day pick up window and confirmed 2 days prior. The delivery was even more difficult. I requested a specific date, asked for an update 10 days prior and was told to call back the following week. After the long weekend, they called to say they would arrive the next day (4 days before my requested date). Thus, I had to renegotiate my lease to accommodate THEIR poor planning. A minor point, they insisted that we provide our credit card information three times (prior to pick-up, the day before delivery, and at delivery). The request the day before was particularly frustrating: they required me to sign a new form (no e-signature). It seemed unnecessary. Also, it didn’t seem to matter that, when they made the demand, they were transporting my computer and printer. I would not recommend this company.
witch one i should say first of all several lather jacket gone missing i was taking pic the one i did not take pic there gone Turkish guys are thief they all Turkish and the date they say are wrong there late about week and i had broken item i send them pic they told me there going send me refund never happened and the cost is way over what they cote me is way over i ask them why no answer i ask for weight invoice they weight the truck before and after he said he forget dont have in one word forget this company there are Liars even one star is too much I will never ever recommend this company. Hi Guys just want to thank you for doing such a fantastic job really appreciate your help
This company exceeded my expectations by a mile. I moved from St. Thomas Ont. to Edmonton. The packing and unpacking by Ali, Memik, Ray and Richard was done efficiently and with care. Conor was very helpful with quoting and was dead on. Excellent communication with Conor, Emre in dispatch, Ali and Ray the drivers plus the delivery was early which for my situation was perfect. Highly recommend.
We moved from west to east coast. Tammy at the office was great to deal with. Calm, competent, straightforward, friendly. The BC crew that loaded up was excellent: expert movers, responsible, careful, timely and courteous....but....the crew that unloaded on the other end was a disaster. Walls, paints, ceiling fixtures and rugs were damaged or muddied. I am not exaggerating: dirty hand prints were all over the walls; they did not have enough runners and so trekked slush and mud all over our floor. We had to hire the pros to repaint parts of the house and fix what else they broke. So, why still a 4-star rating? Tammy and her manager were really responsible and helpful when we contacted them. They reviewed our total damage costs submission and reimbursed us in full. It was an honorable process as we were diligent at submitting only what we cannot fix ourselves. TransCanada Movers were not the lowest price of all the quotes we got. However, they were the most straightforward with no hidden fees and most accommodating to our needs. So, would I recommend TransCanada Movers. Despite the damages and headaches...yes...IF they can guarantee that they can control the selection or vetting of movers on both ends and not just leave it to the driver to hire his crew. If they can guarantee this, they'd get a 5-star rating. I think our horrid experience on the destination end was an anomaly rather than a trend. I'm sure they'd take measures to prevent that from happening again.
Moving sales consultant Tammy Reuser is extremely unprofessional and rude. Would not recommend using their services. Not sure why this company decided to hire such an awful human being
I have began a new job in BC moving from Saskatoon and i had received a lot of emails from different movers offering their services. After checking reviews there was a massive majority of them with terrible feedback and hidden fees being the main issue. So i decided to go with Trans Canada Movers and i was not disappointed. The guys both on pick-up/delivery were excellent and did not waste much time moving my stuff. I had a few items specially packed which arrived safe and most importantly not damaged! On the day of delivery i was presented with my contract i was worried in case there was going to be extra fees however just like i was told on the phone by sales rep Tammy there wouldn't be which showed honesty that seems to be missing with other moving companies.
I used TransCanada Movers to move from Seattle to Vancouver. They were awesome to work with. Moving can be extremely stressful, especially across countries but they made it happen so smoothly. They are friendly, professional and genuinely care about what they do. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to move across the border from US to Canada or vice versa. Thank you again for your exceptional service! :)
From start to the end is awesome experience. All members are very professional and humble. We moved from Toronto, ON to Seattle, WA. They professionally wrapped each and every stuff and assembled all furniture professionally. On-time delivery and no gimmicks.
Excellent service, trustworthy and professional. They kept in constant communication and delivered on time. Everthing was delivered in perfect condition. We had 3 big bags with fragile items and they took excellent care with them. Highly recommend them and will use them again in the future.
Excellent service! Moved down to LA from Calgary with the help of TCM and would highly recommend them for any future job. Efficient movers, knowledgeable, friendly staff and prices are transparent. Outstanding customer service and reliable communication from start to finish. Thank you to the TCM team for a wonderful experience ???? - John N.
Christian and the Trans Canada crew; you guys are the best!!! Thanks so much for making my move from LA so smooth. Christian was my point of contact and whether it was getting a detailed quote, sorting out the customs documents or coordinating my delivery in Edmonton, he was quick to respond to my emails and phone calls and was able to answer most of my questions. The dispatch manager Emre was also easily reachable and very efficient at helping me sort out my delivery as well as clarifying any questions Christian was not 100% sure about. Thanks again for a job well done, will definitely book again for my next move.
Trans Canada Movers made my recent move from New York to Ottawa incredibly smooth and stress-free. Moving internationally during a pandemic was a challenge but the staff were great with any questions or concerns I had, and are very friendly and professional. I will definitely look to Trans Canada again for future moves.
I moved a few days ago with this company and felt I should share it online as their online reviews gave me the confidence to move with them. They promised a lot, guaranteed their service and actually delivered on it. They recommended I hire their packing and unpacking services which I did and in hindsight was the best decision I made. Nothing was broken, they communicated from start to finish and were friendly and comforting which was important to me. This was easily the best, most comfortable move I have made and I have no hesitation in publicly recommending Trans Canada Movers
Well, I'm all settled in as of now. I have successfully moved from my hometown of Guelph, Ontario to Delta, BC where I plan to start my new business with a peer of mine from graduate school. To be honest, I couldn't have done it without the help from Jake and Alain, 2 admirable individuals with leadership competencies that exceeded my expectations from start to finish. I don't usually write reviews such as this, but in this case it's necessary. The professionalism along with quick responses that composed of much detail reassured me I was in good hands. The movers were efficient, careful, and respectful in more ways than one. On top of this, the pricing was fair and completely transparent, with no extra gimmicks so to speak (something that a future business owner such as myself would take notice of!) I would recommend this company to anyone who is looking to move no matter how far and complex your circumstances may be. They will help you be as comfortable and stress-free as possible. TCM forever!
Great people great company professional movers.
Had a horrible experience with this company. Had our items moved across the country from Vancouver to Toronto and delivery guys in Toronto were rude. Didn't tell us that we had to pay the full balance before he would deliver our stuff and held our items hostage. My brother in law was on his way over to make the payment when the guy demanded to know where we was and why he was late. I told the delivery guy that I have never paid for my items prior to complete delivery before and that my brother in law is coming but he was not satisfied and kept insisting that we hurry up and pay in full asap. Finally got my items into my apartment to find many items damaged and broken. Emailed the sales agent to complain about how horrible of an experience this was and haven't heard back from anyone for 2 months now. Not recommending this company to anyone and will never use them again. I would be shocked if anyone ever got back to me about my email, my bad experience or the fact that they just got a terrible 1 star review.
In response to Patty Grant sounds like you don't know what you are talking about because if you sell a part of your service to another carrier then your company is still responsiable. You could have atleast given them the proper info as clearly you didn't. What your company should have done was given them a discount and deducted it from the carrier that your company used in CA. That is how a good business deal is done not blame it on another company that you hired and walk away from it as this is now published.
Very great service. We moved from AB to BC and had a great experience. I found these guys online, called and spoke with a female and she helped ease my worries and figure things out. The day of the move 2 men showed up, wrapped up the couches very well, tagged all our items and wrapped the mattresses so they don't get dirty. They loaded the items pretty quickly as we didn't have too much stuff (20 boxes and about 15 other items). When we arrived 3 men came and did the drop off. They placed red carpets on the floors so they won't dirty it and unloaded everything and even unpacked the couches for us very carefully (the guy even said "I'll take an extra 2-3 mins to ensure I won't ruin your couches"). It was a bit pricey, i don't how how much it would've cost if we had moved all our belongings but the ease of transaction, communication, diligent and careful movers makes us want to use them for all our future moves. Highly recommend!
Have used this company twice in five years. Both times my experience has been excellent. They are competitively priced, the employees are all great and both moves were carried out quickly and professionally. All the charges are explained from the foreman at the pickup. I would absolutely recommend them and will use them again in the future.
Tammy at Trans Canada Movers was my first point of contact with move from Camarillo California back to South Surrey, British Columbia. What a delightful experience! Tammy was able to give me a very accurate estimate of the cost of move. Tammy is efficient and knowledgeable about international moving. Move was seamless. From pickup, storage and delivery, crews were great!!! Very respectful of carpets, flooring and our belongings, everything arrived in mint condition. Thanks to everyone at Trans Canada, well done!!!
- Arrived late to pick my belongings up. - Delivered my belongings 9 days later than I was promised when hiring the company after I called multiple times to ask what was going on - Lost my items in shipment in boxes that they themselves packed on site and are insisting that I identify what was in those boxes - I have had to make contact myself about my lost items 4 times before someone followed up with me, and even then they have no results to share except to say "it's a really big warehouse, we don't know how long it will take to look for it." This company is irresponsible and can't be counted on to meet their promises, but are happy to screw you around once they have your money.
Thank you Dennis for all your help for my move to Vancouver. He came to my house for in-home survey and was very friendly and professional. He explained me some of my options and move went smoothly. Thank you Trans Canada Moving!!!!
We recently relocated to another province and used Trans Canada Movers to help with the move. We had an excellent experience... I booked everything via email and there were no issues whatsoever. Conor was our contact at the office. He was super quick to respond to all communications and very accommodating. The movers for both pickup and delivery were all really nice (Lance in Calgary was a particular delight to deal with!), professional and extremely efficient. The fees were reasonable, the free storage in between pickup and delivery was super helpful and delivery times totally exceeded our expectations. Will definitely use Trans Canada Movers again and would highly recommend them to others.
Absolutely horrible experience. I contracted to have my daughter's stuff shipped to Los Angeles from Toronto as she was starting school there for the first time. Per the signed contract, her belongings were to be delivered between Sept. 4-8, 2012. I made multiple phone calls in the days prior to August 31st to try and confirm the exact delivery date. No one could confirm the date for me. I called again on Sept. 3rd and was told it would not arrive until Sept. 11th. Told them this was in breach of the contract. Called again on Friday, Sept. 7th to confirm the delievery date for Monday and was told it would now be Wednesday the 12th. I had travelled to L.A. to help with the move but had to be back in Toronto for the 10th for meetings so I could no longer help get her settled in. Then got a call back saying it would be the 13th. Brutal. The truck arrived the morning of the 13th. Per the contract, they wanted the balance of payment. They will not unload your belongings until you make payment. Then they advised there would be an extra $300 "long walk" charge as it was about 100 feet from the truck to the elevator. When I spoke to the dispatcher in Vancouver complaining about this extra charge, I was told "you should have got an apartment closer to the curb". I am not kidding. I then called the Toronto office and they advised that I would not be charged this extra fee. I am also out of pocket an additional $400 for blow-up mattresses and fold-up chairs as we needed somewhere to sleep due to the almost week long delay. I have received no apology for the shipment being late. No offer to cover my out-of-pocket costs. Never again !!
Completed my move from Surrey to Brampton. Very easy and smooth communication. I was given an estimate over the phone from Mike and my move came out to be within 100 lbs of his estimate! Was very communicative over the phone and very helpful throughout the way. I commend the level of professionalism that they maintain and would choose mike and transacanda movers again!
I couldn't be more impressed with how professional this company is! From dispatch to the movers I couldn't be more thankful! I was moving from Vancouver to Edmonton and not only did they pack everything so safely but in a timely matter! I would give this company 10 stars if I could! Our things all came to Edmonton exactly when they told us it would arrive, and everything was in excellent condition! Not one broken item because of the care they took with my things! I've moved many times with other movers and would never recommend another company over this one! My next move and my daughter's move will definitely be with Trans Canada movers! They are like family with how they communicate with you!! Don't look any further for a mover this is your company to move you!!! Thank you to the dispatcher and movers for the care and professional attitude. My daughter who never reviews will be doing a review as well❤️
Amazing team work from the office agents to the movers in both Vancouver, BC and Los Angeles. Super competitive price. Answer all my many, many questions very patiently. The move when super smooth and every box arrived in perfect condition and on schedule.
I used Trans Canada Movers to move my furniture to Toronto and I was very pleased with their service. Very professional and very friendly. I would highly recommend this company. My friend is planning his move to Toronto this coming summer and I already gave him their contact number.
Great company. Able to quickly address any concerns. They were able to deliver before the estimated time. One item was missed on the delivery but they were able to have it delivered the same day. Would recommend.
Edit: see original review below, here is an update Mike got back to me last week, after being made aware of my concerns regarding the weight of the truck and the broken items. Once I provided proof from my last movers that even prior to discarding several large items my truck weight had only been 2700lbs, they were willing to consider that there had been perhaps error in weighing my items. They tried to find the scale weights but had been unable to, so we agreed upon a weight of 2500lbs. They wound up giving me a refund of several hundred dollars accordingly. I do have to say that this did impress me, as I had not expected them to actually respond or address the concerns. Because of this, I have changed this review to 3 stars. I would still suggest keeping track of your scale weights when you move in case of this sort of error, and asking for proof of weight. But they did prove to do business honourably in that they followed up. ——- 1- I know how much my stuff weighed and they claim 3200lbs (it was actually 2300lbs) and so I know I was overcharged. 2- they smashed a glass coffee table cover that had survived 7 moves by other companies 3- they waited until we had transferred them the money to inform us of the glass coffee table cover having been smashed 4- boxes arrived upside down and dirty and had obviously been handled extremely roughly (other glass items were broken as well) I’ve moved numerous times and this was one of the worst experiences I’ve had. I would try All-ways movers in the future. I used them for my last move (unfortunately the timing didn’t work out for this move) and they did an amazing job and really cared about customer service.
We moved from Seattle to Toronto with TransCanada in Oct-Nov. 2021. Overall, unfortunately, I'm disappointed in the service. The packers in Seattle were poorly supervised and there were not enough of them. Lots of boxes were not labeled at all, even with the room they came out of. Two of the Seattle packers were good, two or three (depending on the day) were not. It looked to me like the driver tried to spend absolutely as little as possible on packers. Because he did little supervision and I couldn't watch everything, they packed food and other things that cannot be shipped internationally. They also packed items from my wife's studio that they had been clearly instructed not to pack, and that were marked as such. Once the packing was complete, about 6 pm on Friday, the driver put a lot of pressure on me to drive up to the border crossing at Blaine that night, when I was tired. I did get the company to pay for a hotel room for me in Blaine. On the other end, in Toronto, the problem was the opposite. The same driver came to unload in Toronto. He came with a big team, 7 or 8 people, and tried to unload very fast- they had everything out and crammed in the house in 4 hours, which did not give us enough time to properly direct things to the right place. There isn't much room in the house, which was part of the problem, but I think it would have been reasonable to take one day to unload. We got very little help reassembling anything. They were in such a rush that they left at least 20 items with pads still on them. I can't recommend TransCanada for a move from Seattle to Canada.
TransCanada Movers helped us move from Santa Clara,CA to Oakville,ON in Dec 2020. Chris was a great help, answered all our questions and concerns throughout the whole process. Our furniture and boxes were handled carefully. We were on a tight schedule. Chris and TransCanada team were very understanding and helped deliver our stuff on exact delivery date. I could not be more pleased and would definitely recommend them and use them again in the future.
We had a lot of communication issues and mis information during our home move. Delivery was so delayed (3 weeks) and we weren't regularly informed. We did not feel in good hands at all.
We did a move between provinces recently and chose Trans Canada. They were absolutely amazing! The guys did a really great, fast job loading the truck and took extra care to guard it while loading. It was a long carry and the truck had to be parked on the street quite far away. They didn't complain even once! Then for the unload on the other side it was so nice to see a familiar face from the guys who loaded! One of the same guys was there on the other end. It made it feel like a personal experience from their end as well as from mine. Right from Tammy, to the dispatcher all the way through to the actual movers our experience was truely exceptional. We will definately go with them if we have to move again!
Trans Canada Movers was an amazing experience for us. I would definitely recommend them. Moved from Calgary, AB to Hamilton, ON end of March and my things arrived end of April. Price was more reasonable than any other company we contacted. This company contracts out other movers if they aren’t located in your area; each contractor was super helpful, wrapped all of our stuff with no damages, all of our stuff arrived and nothing was opened. They knew exactly what I paid for deposit and what I owed for the remaining and wrote out all of our items on the contract. Called the Delta, BC office a million times to follow up and they always remained super professional and helpful as well as the individuals who were moving our things as we had their contact number. We received 4 free weeks of storage with delivery dates within the next day or so when we were ready. My only suggestion to the company is to improve the communication a bit as it is scary putting all of your valuables on a truck with a company you haven’t ever used before - maybe sending an email of an update of the projected arrival so customers like myself are a little more at ease! Really happy we used this company. We will definitely use them again if needed and we do recommend them!
I had a really big move from Nelson, up near Vancouver, to Toronto last month. These guys did a fantastic job! I thought that the load I gave them might be a bit to heavy, but everything came out looking in tip top shape. I'd never done this big of a move and was confused about a couple things, but one of their very helpful associates, Mike, was a fabulous point of contact. I highly recommend this company's services.
Extremely professional service - moved my house from Oakland to Toronto with no issues! Very polite & friendly sales staff and great movers. Would recommend if you're moving cross-border
TransCanada Movers were incredibly professional, polite, and fast and efficient, and accommodating to my situation. My belongings were safely delivered from my apartment in the USA to my apartment in Canada. I shopped around before hiring them and found that they also offered competitive pricing. It has been a great moving experience working with them.
Amazing team and company! Relocating across Canada quite frequently due to my career, I have hired my fair share of moving companies over the years, with mixed results. My move from Vancouver to Mississauga with TCM was hands down the pick of the bunch, truly, the gold standard. Mike, my agent, was an absolute superstar, guiding me throughout the entire moving process like a Sherpa in the Himalayas. Everything was very well coordinated- the price quotes were spot-on, communication was seamless and he was always there to provide resourceful advice and help me with any concerns. The moving crew was efficient, professional and kept me in good spirits throughout what would've otherwise been a very stressful experience. Trans Canada Movers will undoubtedbly be my crew of choice in any future move- thank you, guys!
Excellent Service! This company moved my 90 year old Grandma from Vancouver to Portland and everything went perfectly. Both my grandma and I would highly recommend!
I cannot say enough about Trans Canada Movers! Every single step from the moment I called for an estimate right up until the move was done was easy and efficient. We were moving from the US to Canada and had no idea what was needed and what to expect. Conor answered all of my many questions along the way promptly, the staff that came to our house in the US were lovely, and the driver was amazing. He guided us through what was going to happen at the border, what we needed to do and where we needed to be. Our belongings had to be stores for a couple of weeks prior to being moved into the house, and we were thrilled to see our same driver on this end guiding the delivery folks through the unloading and unpacking. They put our beds together for us along with a few other things which we really appreciated. Seriously people who are reading this. Use these guys! I’ve done a fair number of moves but none compare with this one! Flawless from start to finish! Thanks everyone!
Trans Canada Movers was a great help in getting moved from BC to Wisconsin. They were great to work with, and able to accommodate all of my needs. Pricing was also very fair in comparison to other companies I had worked with in the past.
The delivery guys were quick and did an OK job. But for being a logistics company the office failed miserably to coordinate between their employees and me as a customer. A guarantee of giving a days notice in advance of delivery turned out to be 15min. Some of my belongings were crushed and garbage was left behind.. This is on top of an extra delivery fee after the price quoted. I would not recommend this company.
I recently moved from Montreal to Vancouver and found these guys off Google. The actual guys who came to pack my furniture and initially load it up were great and professional, but my issues were not in this step. After leaving Montreal I received no updates at all, my emails were ignored, and I had to have someone call the dispatch while I was on a trip (which was very hard to get hold of). I had very little items but somehow was over the weight limit for the initial quote, which i was not told until the date it was delivered, and while I was still in the Greater Vancouver Area they charged me an additional $100 because my location was too far (Coquitlam) despite not warning me of this in advanced either. I was not notified of the delivery date and had to call multiple times to get an estimate, and while they even showed up earlier than the expected delivery time which I am not complaining about but still. After delivery, while not having any broken items, my bill ended up being almost double the initial quote. They did a good job but there was 0 communication and 0 detailing about additional fees until the due date which I did not appreciate.
Trans Canada movers was an incredible company to work with and I was so happy and pleased with the results of my move. It was the first time my husband and I had ever moved out of the country and we had heard terrifying stories about other friends experiences with movers. We did our research thoroughly but found that all well known movers cost way over our budget and were not willing to negotiate. Then we found Trans Canada movers and had an incredible moving experience! They gave us a quote that was slightly higher than others (but this was because all of our furniture looks heavy even though it's fairly light) and when we went with the truck to weigh our belongings we found that it was even lighter than the weight we expected it to be. They handled all of our boxes with care, respected our home and worked very carefully and professionally, kept our belongings safe in storage (for two months), and when they brought our furniture to us in California everything looked well handled and taken care of. We didn't have a single item break or go missing, and we packed it all ourselves! Overall, they receive my highest recommendation and I don't think you'll be disappointed!
I used Trans Canada Movers recently to transport furniture from Vancouver BC to Seattle Washington. They were courteous, professional and very customer focused. Conor helped set up the move, answered all my questions, and was really helpful in assisting me on all of the paperwork required at the border. Alan did the scheduling for pick up and delivery. Both were responsive and very pleasant to work with. The furniture arrived fully protected and without any damage. I was very pleased with the service and would highly recommend Trans Canada Movers without reservation.
They boast as if they are the best in the business. But they are like any small company who is there to rip you off. - Reached 3 hrs late - Locked there keys in the truck, had to take them to home depot to bring cutters to break locks. Anothet 1 hr delay. - Becuase of that delayed my move-out cleaners. Who charged me 4hrs more for cleaning as these movers were in the way - Dropped multiple of my of fragile boxes. - After all of that their team was pretty rude and kept on indirectly conveying that i should bring food for them. - They said they'll take a max of 3 hrs for the move. Took 7hrs instead! - Made a complaint and their dispatch manager 'Emre' was extremely rude and wasnt ready to take any reponsibility. - Gave me $200 back, of which i paid $120 to the cleaners for that extra 4 hrs. So basically for all the stress they gave me, they reduces $80 of a $4700 bill. - They broke/chipped off a lot of my furniture but they gad such cheap insutance coverage $0.6 / lb that did not feel like dealing with that obnoxious Emre again! Not worth it. A BIG NO FROM ME FOR ANYONE CONSIDERING THEM FOR THEIR NEXT MOVE.
I don't often report outstanding performance, as I expect that anyone getting paid to perform a task should do so at the highest level. However, in this case I felt that Trans Canada Movers deserved to be recognized for making my latest move a stress free success. I had multiple movers bid the job and at the very last minute they all shifted the delivery date back by 1- 2 weeks except for TCM. On very short notice their team coordinated my move from Long Beach , CA to Vancouver, BC, processed the paperwork through Customs and delivered my goods exactly when they said they would - 1 week after pick-up. I have moved 8 times throughout my career and their team ranks up there with the best of them. Their staff were professional, hardworking and a pleasure to work with. I had a couple of minor issues, which is normal for this business, and they took care of my concerns without complaint or hesitation. Don B.
Excellent, professional service. We made a last minute booking the day before the move and everyone was more than accommodating. By the following afternoon all our stuff was moved. Bed was wrapped in plastic at no extra charge, staff were all very polite and friendly. And even shuffled furniture around for us at the new place to get it exactly where we wanted it. Wonderful service, we will definitely be using this company for all our moves. And price was definitely reasonable for saving us all the trouble and effort. Thank Dennis and his great team on site.
Very good experience. Both Tammy and Patty are very helpful. Thanks to both, our move was easy and stress free.
First rate experience and customer service
I moved twice with trans Canada movers. Their service is Excellent. I do recommend this company hands up.????????
I am a Senior and was very nervous about moving from Alberta to BC. Trans Canada Movers were terrific. They were efficient, friendly and did their job quickly and efficiently. Both the movers in Calgary and those i Coquitlam. Conor was really good in keeping me up to date on everything. Thank you TCM you are the best movers I have ever had and believe me I have moved to Europe several times and within Canada.
I had so much headaches with another moving company. I contacted Trans Canada Movers to pick up my stuff from the other company and finally deliver my goods. Trans Canada Movers were thoroughly professional and highly communicative. It was such a refreshing change. I worked with Tammy, and highly recommend.
Absolutely will recommend this company if you’re looking for an affordable, reliable, accommodating, trustworthy, professional, and friendly bunch of office staff and movers. I have used this company to move our belongings and my car from BC to EDM and SK to BC in the course of the last 4 yrs. They have been awesome! If I had any concerns or questions in regards to my delivery time, help with packing, and/or payment the staff were most helpful and always made sure to answer my phone calls or return them promptly if I left msgs. The experience with the truck drivers and movers were all very positive. They were always very helpful, polite, and friendly. IF there were any issues the staff was always prompt to fix it. I highly recommend using this company. If I were to move again they would definitely be the first moving company I’d call! Thank you Transcanada Movers! My family and I absolutely appreciate all your hard work ensuring all our belongings always arrived to us safe’n sound.????????
I hired transcanada movers last September 2021. My things were picked up October 2nd and were supposed to make it to Arizona the 1st week of November. There was a 2 week delay because they 'thought' there was a problem with the ????. Then 2 week after that, I got delayed another 2 weeks because of wet roads. In the end, my shipment was 6 weeks late. My bike arrived broken, some things never made it at all, and who knows where they are. Probably ended up with someone else's shipment. Not to mention the high cost. November. Even though they went over all the paperwork, they decided
Wouldn't even give them one star. Still regretting for choosing this company for our move!!
We recently moved from BC to ON with Trans Canada movers and they were an absolute live saver. We needed help in a pinch and they did everything they could to help us out. The drivers, movers, and staff were patient and professional. Our stuff was packed well, delivered on time, and we were kept up to date every step of the way. Can't recommend them enough.
The staff were friendly and efficient from the first call all the way through the process.
Movers on pick-up & delivery were extremely friendly. Did a good packing job on my artwork and would recommend these guys for long haul moving
I moved from the Los Angeles area to Shirley, BC in November. I was extremely happy with the service I received from Trans Canada Movers, especially from Tammy, who coordinated it, but also from all of the packers and movers. Extremely kind and polite, but very efficient and careful. Tammy's communication was stellar. For a high-stress move, Trans Canada Movers added nothing to it, and I would happily use them again.
Abdullah was great from pick up in Seattle to drop off in Burnaby, he even assisted in putting together the bed frame! Thank you
