We just moved today and this company was amazing. Prior to our move I worked with Danish would was incredibly transparent and helpful about the move, and even checked in with us in the days before our move. Our move was schedule for 9 am - and at 9:01 my phone rang that they were outside. They were incredibly fast, efficient, and all my items arrived in perfect condition - no dents or scratches. They were also very mindful of keeping us safe and making this move as seamless as moving in Covid can be. I’ve moved a lot in the last few years and I can honestly say this the best company we’ve ever encountered. You get what you pay for. I would actually rate 3.5 stars but Google doesn't seem to allow half stars. Touch Wood Movers' fees are lower than most which is awesome, but at the same time, don't expect any frills, customer service, arriving on time or good driving. But they will get the job done!

Worst moving company I’ve ever had experience with. Extremely careless, rude, and mannerless movers. Not only did they destroy my walls, tiles and ceilings, they purposely tried to hide it all. A very shameful and embarrassing thing to do. I emailed them pictures of the damages and they brushed it off. If you want to save some money then DO NOT choose these people! Absolutely ridiculous, if I could put anything less than 1 star I would, even 1 star is being generous.

They were more delayed than I had anticipated but I'm going to cut them some slack because they compensated it by sending 5 people and finished the loading in an hour. The moving and unloading was also satisfactory. They were unbeatable in terms of price for an intercity move. Definitely recommend them.

1 of WORST experience in professional transaction I've ever experienced; inclusive of my Mother, Sister's and Self-Storage facility supervisor who witnessed the entire debacle. Today (31-Dec-2021) My sister and Mother were moving their two bedroom, two-storey unit from Bay Street Hamilton to Self Storage in Stoney Creek. The movers were scheduled to arrive at 9:10am. They were 1.5 HOURS LATE!! Arrival at 10:47am time stamped by service elevator usage by Homestead Landing Group. The movers- three; ages 20-25, current/former students- were tremendously unprofessional. I live on the main floor of the building, whilst sister/mom rented the penthouse floor on the 24th. I took my dog for a walk - passing the loading bay- intending to inform them I'd come up and help. I overhead preplanning to expedite the entire move and finish as quickly as possible- in native language. Once I arrived upstairs to help- one of the movers was found sitting on the steps of the unit, on his social media glancing at videos. He jolted up- and for sake of efficiency, I began to help move the furniture to the elevator area to expedite the process, along with them. Now, all to say at a certain point they claimed the truck- 20 ft moving truck- move agreed upon was 2 bdr apartment- was full (see photos of truck status upon arrival to storage). My sister was to coordinate with my mom on what to do next, as there were still mattresses, and boxes left. My sister requested they sit tight while we coordinate. Considered renting a uHaul van- trying to decide what's next- I opted to head down and see if we can shuffle things around. Much to my CHAGRIN, the truck was gone, with another set of mattresses left outside (see photos). At that juncture, my mom and I had brought the mattress back in- we drove to storage and upon arrival. I asked all three movers to step out of the truck. I told them as blatantly as I could: what they did was not right. We need to rectify the situation. IF they don't want to work and move the furniture out, I was more than happy to pay for their Ubers home; just leave the truck with us and I'll move everything into storage, myself. Of course, this is an empty threat, more so trying to say, there's TWO WOMEN, that are moving, and they're taking advantage of the situation. NOTE: my mother was right there, along with the self storage supervisor (re: footage from the storage facility would attest as well as consumers that were in their loading bay, in their pick-up truck). Finally, the one mover that seemed to be very unpleasant, got in the truck, and instead of parking the truck, they made a call, windows-up- and then LEFT with our STUFF. At 1:07pm, I made a call to their management: BOBBY or DINESH, unclear who is who at this juncture. Who said, I threatened their movers and they were scared and if I want our belongings we would have to pay up front and they would only return when we paid. Conversation witnessed by mother and storage facility supervisor, as the call was on speaker. Please note: This is all to say, Touchwood management already knew what was going on with the movers prior to arrival at storage facility. They had most certainly either 1. anticipated we may withhold payment for lack of professionalism, or 2. request they return to our home to pick up what was left, or 3. all of the above. I called 9-1-1 at 1:11pm, at Management clarified, they did NOT care if we phoned police- which tells me this has happened before- and was advised if they didn't return at that juncture I can file for theft. When they returned- 1:26pm- they wanted to hold off unloading until proof of payment They would not work- without an apology- alas, I had to apologize. They did NOT return to vacate the rest of the apartment (see photos of what was left behind). Reserving all rights to share experience without defamation, and libel. All of this is apart of review services in order to preserve public awareness and freedom of speech. None of the aforementioned is shared with malice or prejudice. See photo of my response via pic.

The highlight of the move was how they got our very heavy Cherrywood desks out of the house. It was a tight fit out the back door with a post for a porch roof in the way. Holy crow! I'm wishing there was a sixth star button right about now. Hell, even a seventh. Three guys moved all of my stuff in just over an hour. They cracked jokes, were careful with all my valuables and put everything in the appropriate room upon arriving at their final destination. I've used them twice, and both times they've exceeded expectations. This time, they even price adjusted down, because they had originally quoted me at two hours. They're not only hard working and fast, but honest. In the end I didn't save any money because I tipped them the difference, but these boys earned it! Moving? Use them. Know someone that's moving? Recommend them.

Booked A move from Hamilton to Toronto a week in advance. I had to call them myself the day prior to the move as there was no courtesy call to confirm the date of my move. On the day of the move the movers arrived 20 minutes late to the agreed upon timing. They called me to let me know they were running late after they were late and showed up even later than when they said they would. The movers were extremely slow, it took them 10-15 minutes to get themselves set up, thankfully I prepared everything ahead of time and didn't have a lot of items to move just 6 big items (2 tvs, bed and box frame, tv stand, A bookshelf and 3 boxes), it took them about an hour just load these items and I helped them load A few items as it was taking too long. On the positive side they moved the items with care and nothing was damaged. We departed to my new residence at the same time, I arrived roughly 25 mins before them. traffic was very smooth with no delays but given they were driving a large truck it was understandable if they were 10-20 mins later than me, I waited for 30 mins and they still had not arrived yet. I gave them A call to ask where they were and they said they were 8 mins away. Waited another 15 mins for them to arrived, at this point time was getting critical as I only had my elevator booked for another 30 mins for my move. I let them know that I only had the elevator for another 30 mins, offered my assistance and asked if we could speed it up. The unload took around 40 mins, way faster than the actual move, no items were damaged however A led piece for my bookshelf was missing, they said they didn't know where it was and perhaps it fell off at my original home, I urged them to check the truck before they left to be sure and thankfully it was in there. The overall move took roughly 3 and a half hours they charged me for 3 hours since they were late, the price was around $380. Overall satisfied with the move as nothing was damaged or missing. Pros: Items are cared for, polite and friendly movers. Cons: Extremely slow service, punctuality. 3/5 I would only recommend them if you do not have any time constraints and are doing local moves within the same city.

Both times the movers were punctual, friendly, and fast--and never complained about having to constantly go up three flights of stairs to move our things (sorry!). They helped us with other things, such as removing our TV off the wall mount and breaking down boxes.

I needed to move to a new house, but I was worried about how to get good and professional movers to move my tools, heavy industrial machines, and my adorable belongings, without breaking and damaging anything. I patiently checked on Kijiji for well professional movers. I found 2 company and I decided to invite them over to my former house. Out of both of them, Bobby from Touchwood stood out from the other company. We agreed on price and he assured me that he is going to send me 3 good guys, that will handle everything well for me. But I wasn't sure of the actual moving date because the landlord was trying to get the place ready as soon as she can. I called Bobby an evening before the day I needed to move, and he promised to send those guys by 9am the following day. This was the first thing I was thankful for, because I thought he would give me like 2 days later or in the afternoon of the following day. These guys arrived exactly the time Bobby told me. When they saw all the stuffs I needed to move, they told me, they are going to do two trips. I was surprised to hear that from them, not minding their time and energy, but only focusing on getting the job done well, WOW! Gurpreet, Jarnail, Gurjot Singh nailed it completely! My belongings were moved first, then the tools were moved last. These guys are very intelligent, professional, energetic, patient, and respectful. I was thinking of hiring the company that sold my industrial machines and the tools, to move my machines separately but I wasn't able to avoid their price, these three guys moved my heavy industrial machines and all the tools with no stress. They have all the tools they use to do the business, name it! They worked 12 hours straight non stop, to move my stuff with very reasonable price. I have to asked them if I could save their numbers for my future move , because I don't want to loose them ????. You guys are the best???? I will like to add the video and pictures I took to show the world how professional these guys are, but I didn't know how do this from my new phone ???? Thank you Bobby, for keeping to your promises ????

Overall they were pretty professional. Showed up early but had no problem waiting until I could get the elevator locked out. The price was quite a bit more than some other ads I saw, but I can't say if those were even legit movers, so who knows. My biggest gripe is that they were SLOW. It took 3.5 hours for a 400sqft bachelor apartment in which I had done at least 50% of it myself ahead of time. It kinda stings sitting there watching them go at a Sunday stroll pace, one small item at a time back and forth to the elevator, while you're paying them $95/hr. Oh and I'm now having to drill new holes in one of my furniture items because their idea of "disassembly" is just pulling it apart so the screw holes get all stripped out...

From start to finish, they were polite, asking me if I was happy with everything, where I wanted things and super responsive to my directions. Nothing was broken or scratched with the 35 boxes and a ton of really heavy furniture I had. I am extremely happy with my decision to go with them and I highly recommend them.

It is a hard work as I have four bedroom sets and pretty much with heavy furniture but overall they did great. No problem or damage. Two guys showed up on time at 8:30am to move from one apartment to our new place. I had asked for assistance dis-assembling our bed, so one of the guys worked on that while the other packed the truck. They were very efficient and were done in 3 hours. They were extremely professional and friendly, and when we ran into an issue trying to fit the couch through the doors, they were very creative in finding a solution to make it fit without damaging the couch.

Very Unprofessional company. Lot of hidden cost in their billing. They themselves provide a quote but then make every attempt to over invoice you. They even damaged the property. Operations Manager -Bob Singh (Bobby) who is very unprofessional and abusive does not know anything about customer service. They does not even deserve one star. Never agreed to extra cost and company never was able to provide our agreed documents. Also we never asked for extra movers for which company is asking cost(hidden cost). The owner is abusive and threatening to it’s customers. He is working on assumptions and blindly carrying out the job. He never disclosed extra cost or even asked for our agreement.

When they unloaded at my new place, they helped me organize things how I wanted them, knowing I was there alone and things were heavy. Would not recommend. Arrived late and were very SLOW when they actually did get around to moving the furniture. Expect to pay a minimum of 4 hours. I was moving from a small 1 bedroom apartment to another apartment building literally 5min next door and it took them 4 hours not including traveling time. It should not have taken more than an hour, 2 hours max. I had no boxes and only furniture to move, thinking it would make the job easier for them. We had informed them in advance that we had a storage bed which requires disassembly but when they arrived they had no tools and spent half an hour figuring out. Owner is okay but needs to hire better staff that take more interest in getting the job done rather than chatting on their cell phones and taking coffee breaks. If cost is not important to you, then go for it.

*since I’ve left this review, Danish from their head office has been extremely helpful and made it right by compensating me for the damage. Great gesture from the company, my experience could have been an isolated incident with an amateur team that needed more training. The three movers were extremely careless with my things and unprofessional. They started off the day by showing up around 45 minutes late. Warning signs started to show with how careless they moved my things. They literally threw boxes of my things onto their truck. Fortunately it was not for any of my glassware. When it came time to unload, they broke a fan by dropping it from the truck ramp and ripped an arm rest off my office chair when unloading. When asked to make it right, they claimed no responsibility for ripping off the office chair armrest and said “it shouldn’t have broke”. Would only offer to compensate 40$ for breaking my fan, purchased for retail for 80$, claiming “only the base broke”. They also knocked over boxes of my things several times, having my kitchen ware crash to the floor. The crew they sent had the extremely unfortunate trait of being both slow AND careless. Being slower and careful is acceptable but they were really disrespectful towards my property and possessions. I would never recommend this business.

I booked them for a move and I'm super happy with how it went. They were scheduled to start at 10 but actually called at 9.15 to say they could come early, so we got a head start on it. The two movers that came were professional and moved quickly, and the whole thing was done within a couple of hours. There was some confusion about the deposit, which I thought would be applied to the final bill, but was actually a separate charge. This was explained to me before the work started, and since I'd budgeted to spend more than the initial estimate, it wasn't a big problem for me. Just be aware if you're booking that this is part of their process. Ultimately, I felt like the money I spent was worth it because it saved me a lot of time and stress, and that was my priority. I'd definitely use them again.
