If I could rate this company 0 stars, I would! Never will I use OO Movers Vancouver again or recommend them. Manager Don Dyck and Mover Joe Winiskie are the most dishonest and dishonourable people my family and I have had the displeasure of dealing with. In short, the mover and his colleague damaged all of our furniture during transport by not properly wrapping the items as I had been assured several times that they would and by improperly storing the items. After admissions of guilt, I was advised that they would repair and replace all damaged furniture. Now, over 1 year later, they still have not honoured their word, and I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

I would give these guys 0 stars if I could. I booked a move with them a week in advance, confirmed, and then reconfirmed online. But, the day of the move they never showed up! Nor did they call, answer their phone, or call me back. I had to fly the next day and was stuck paying for both places. Long story short, don't use these guys. They charge the same as everybody else and don't show up. It's hard to give even 1 star when they are no shows. Here's a quote I found from a response to a review of OO Movers, “We may be late but we never leave an move undone. - John Anthony, General Manager” Well John, my move was left undone, so you can't use that line anymore!

I had a move booked on June 9th. 3 men arrived on time at 9am and worked hard for 3 hours and they had moved around 75% of my things into my new place by 12:15pm. Then, Jacob, the lead mover, asked if he could take a 2 hour break to go to Surrey and do a job out there. My move was supposed to take 5 - 6 hours. And it takes practically two hours to drive from Vancouver to Surrey and back. I balked at this idea and so he returned to my old place to get more things. After this things went downhill dramatically. He had a very small amount of items to bring back on the second load, and he only brought half with him. In addition, they left all my doors wide open in the old place when they left the house. Not unlocked, wide open! He did not put my bed together as requested. He did not put my chest of drawers back together and he did not bring any wardrobe boxes for my hanging clothes even though I had requested them twice. After they made the second trip and they still had a lot of things back at my old place, they left my place and did not complete the move!!!! They just left!! I was beside myself and called the office 3 times after they left because I was not sure whether they were coming back or not and left messages each time. They did not come back. No one called me. I waited until 6pm and then gave up. I never got a call back that afternoon. Or on Sunday or on Monday and I did not hear from the movers until Tuesday at 5:45pm. My son and I and a neighbour brought over the items they had left behind including all my hanging clothes, all my lamps, all my garden tools, my barbeque and many other smaller items. It took us a number of loads to bring all of the items to my new place. The customer service following the move was very poor until I finally spoke with Don, 3.5 weeks following my move, who finally resolved this mess. If you are looking for a mover.....my suggestion would be to keep looking.

Not impressed with the Yellow Bird team that was sent out for my move from Surrey to Victoria. They were hardworking, but a bit careless and disorganized. The team arrived late at the origin (although they brought in an extra person to help on that end), resulting in them having to rush for the ferry, and when they arrived at the destination, they told me I was lucky that they didn't just wait for the next ferry so they could charge me more. At the destination, they also rushed, breaking a bookshelf in the process and leaving several marks and dings, and one gash in the wall, which was then concealed by boxes so I didn't notice until they left. The quick work was appreciated but I would rather they had been a bit slower and more cautious. Be sure to take a screenshot of the quote you get. After the movers left, the Yellow Bird office called and told me that my quoted price was wrong and charged me an additional $125 for fuel. I could have sworn I was told that the fuel fee was waived and that was in the notes, but access to my online quote was disabled before I could go back and check. I was also quoted $385 for the ferries, and charged $500 - not sure why there was such a big difference there. I was also charged $40 for packing supplies which I guess is for the obscene amount of plastic wrap they covered all my chairs in - which is not a huge deal, and I guess I'm glad they did that seeing how my other items were handled, but again just feels like a bit of a ripoff to tack that on separately. I do appreciate that I wasn't (at least overtly) charged for the extra person that helped load up the truck in Surrey, but again, that person was only necessary due to poor planning. I booked this move in somewhat of a hurry, but if I had more time I would have gone with the last company I moved with, Small Moves Vancouver, instead.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! INEXPERIENCED MOVERS! WASTE OF MY MONEY! I had all my belongings moved into a storage locker. Which company was made aware upon booking what was required. Tvs on wall, mounted, needed to be removed and they were just ripped off of the wall. One tv (samsung smart tv 55 '') completely broken, unusable. Belongings weren't stacked properly, heavy on light boxes. Some boxes actually squeezed. When job was done I wasn't able to look into one of the trucks to ensure everything was off. I phoned the contact I had (movers wife) and told her that I wasn't happy with my experience with how they removed tv's off and I was told "you had a lot of stuff, they don't usually do that" YOU ARE A MOVING COMPANY!!! YOU MOVE THINGS! and when I called to book, company was advised of that work that was needed to be done. I received money for the damages to my property however it is not even close to buy a new tv and it isn't even half of what I paid. Also an item of sentimental value was lost. My belongings were in a locker for a few weeks before I moved into my new place, and when I realized this item was missing and contacting them they said oh it was over 3 weeks ago. too long ago we don't have it. WOW. UNPROFESSIONAL. Please save your money and use another company.

The truck and crew arrived on time and very efficiently packed my things into the truck. When they arrived at the place I was moving my things to, they efficiently moved them into the storage space making sure that everything fit in a coordinated fashion. There was a delay due to a mistake on my part and the leader handled the problem very professionally. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to move anyone.

Quick and efficient - I called on the day to inquire about movers for the afternoon. I was told they would be able to be there in the afternoon but would have a follow up call for timing. Luckily the vendor I was picking up from didn't need me to be present this time for the pickup - which honestly made this move a lot more efficient and easier to manage as I was preoccupied with work. Friendly movers - Things made it from point A to B without any hassle.

DO NOT USE OO MOVERS IN VANCOUVER. I booked a move with them 4 weeks in advance for a move on December 21. There’s a height restriction for the truck at the location I was moving into, and we talked about this at length. They assured me they had a truck that could accommodate (it was even in writing on my booking confirmation). The morning of December 21 - literally 4 days before Christmas and it’s dark and pouring rain outside- they show up with a truck too large to fit in the new building’s loading bay (and there’s no street parking there). When I alerted them to the height issue, they told me they would be back in an hour with the right truck. That was a lie and they never came back. I was left completely stranded. The move was booked for 9am and by noon, after many calls back and forth, they conceded that they could do absolutely nothing for me. It was the single worst experience I have ever had with a mover in my entire life (and I’ve done a lot of moves). I can’t emphasize this enough- do not trust this business. Literally book any other mover.

We highly recommend Owner Operated Movers! We have moved several times in the past few years and their service far exceeds that of every other company we have used. Ruslan, Morgan, and Sunny drove an exceptionally clean, included lots of moving blankets all neatly stacked and strapped in with the dollie and lift. Everything was tucked in to keep it in place while driving when empty. The whole team was perfectly polite and listened patiently for instructions. They were genuinely caring, and wanted to have a complete understanding of the full details of the move. Ruslan, in particular, was a super intelligent guy with excellent manners. Mason was gentle with a keen eye for attention to detail. Sunny excelled particularly well at checking in with me to confirm that I was happy with the work. The team flow was smooth and swift. Our full experience with OO Movers has been absolutely horrid, they should NOT be in business. On the day of our move, I received a text message informing me that they would be arriving late, which was understandable at first. When they pulled up, one of the two men was wearing a mask however he removed it within 5 minutes. Halfway through the move, he began coughing and sneezing which I dismissed as possible allergies from the dust. I kept my distance as much as possible. The men then mentioned that they had been informed that this was a “small move” and that it could have been a one person job. Clearly, it was not. When I booked via phone with Sandy, I gave her a list of all of our belongings, and when I received the confirmation it was labelled as a “large move”. The way they spoke made me feel like I had booked the move wrong and I felt bad for the amount of work that they had. I believe it would have been much more efficient if 3 people were booked for our job. I mentioned this to Mike from the moving team as it happened, and Sandy from customer service the day after. Mike and Sandy were both excrutiating to talk to and did not apologize for the "miscommunication". Everyone knows that moves are stressful as it is. I was the only one at the house as my husband was also taking loads in his car to the new house, so I was directing the movers while also trying to organize and load my own car. Throughout the day, I heard our furniture being dropped, placed down heavily, while the movers were acting unprofessionally (swearing, laughing, etc.) While this concerned me in the moment, I was overwhelmed and did not notice any visible damage. When it was time to go to the next address, they didn’t have it noted so I texted them and met them there. It was dark by the time they were unloading so I volunteered to hold up a flashlight for them as the light in their truck was burnt out. Since they had been working all day, we moved the patio furniture ourselves to the backyard in an effort to help them out. When the move was complete, I was instructed to pay via credit card over the phone with A.J. on speakerphone. A referral discount that I had spoken to Sandy about previously had not been applied. When I was looking for an email on my phone, A.J. said to the mover “I heard you were sick, are you feeling better?” and they continued to talk about how he had been to the hospital and that “he didn’t have COVID”. This was extremely unprofessional and it made my husband and I speechless and uncomfortable. I paid over $800 for the move and tipped both movers via e-transfer. While we were trying to process what happened that day, we looked over our furniture and found that several items had been damaged. Our TV screen was popped out, the back of our couch was frayed, two desks were scratched along with our bed frame and kitchen island. I have had to repeatedly call Sandy & Mike to follow up regarding receiving an itemized receipt for the move along with the referral discount (which was finally emailed to me 4 days later) and to explain our terrible experience. After sending photos to Sandy, she directed me to Mike, and he said that a supervisor will come to our house to assess the damage. If I wanted to discuss any sort of refund, I was to talk to Sandy. Upon attempting to discuss some sort of refund or compensation, Sandy explained that she was the only person I could talk to, “the owner is never here” and even if she felt the need to refund us, it “wouldn’t even make it to accounting”. I feel that I have been extremely understanding during this whole situation, and no effort has been made to make up for what we have experienced. Since then, I still have not heard from a supervisor on the damage to our furniture. The alleged John Anthony has replied to my google review telling me to call the office - guess what? they never answer or return my messages. I have seen countless reviews with extremely similar experiences. If you value your sanity, do not use OO movers.

On the phone they confirmed 3 people, when the movers showed up they were 2 people. 2 people obviously would take longer time therefore more money for me to pay. Even the drivers were shocked with the situation. The lady Sandra was very rude, instead of helping me solve my problem she started yelling at me. Not sure how such company still exists.

My move was booked for 12:00 noon. Got a call at 9am saying there were some mechanical issues and they were going to be late. Got a call at noon saying that it might be 5-8pm before they show. Around 4pm I decided to call the local office for an update. Got a call back saying they were sending another crew and the time was now 9pm. (One of the trucks was out of commission) The crew finally showed at 9:30pm. Now I appreciate the predicament they must have been in. Also I was happy that got it done finally on the day I booked. The crew arrived and were efficient if not a tad stressed. They worked quickly to move my 1bedroom. But would I recommend them to family and friend's no. I appreciate that unforseen things happen but i hired movers to reduce my stress on moving day and waiting on a crew who was 8 hr late who may or may not show was not reduced stress. I felt the job only got done on the day I booked because I pressed that it needed to be done. In the future I will hire a different company.

After refurbishing some appliances in storage, I hired Jacob again to move my 'new to me' appliances from storage to my house (very short distance). OOmoovers is great for small moves as they charge in 15 min increments (plus a 1hr in/out charge which is reasonable in the moving business). Jacob and his coworker moved everything into place (general location at my request because I was going to hook everything up after), and moved out the old appliances into my storage. Overall another positive experience.

I had to move a piano out of a house before the end of the month. This company setup the date for 9AM on the 28th. I go to the house I'm moving from and wait. And then 9:30 rolls around and I haven't heard anything. Finally, I call the company (who are dispatchers in Vancouver), and they don't know anything. Only when they reach out to the scheduled mover, do they find out that the Movers truck was not in running condition. I had to arrange another mover, on the fly, with three days before months end and figure out how to get this piano moved. This treatment is not reputable. I don't recommend this company on the basis that they are disorganized and clearly they don't pay their movers enough, if their employees can't afford to keep their moving trucks serviced.

They quoted me, sent me out a team in Edmonton to move to a small town outside of Edmonton, moved and everything seemed seamless and easy. Very pleased with the service I received. I got a call back from my online inquiry the same day, which was awesome. They scheduled me for the following week, no problem. The guys were friendly, efficient, and did a great job getting a heavy sofa bed through a cluttered garage, around a tight corner and through a narrow doorway with no damage to walls or the furniture. I also totally appreciate that they bill on the quarter hour. Highly recommend.

After calling around for estimates I booked OO Movers for our move, I was told I was the first appointment in the afternoon and that my small apartment would be approximately a 3 hour job 4 at the most. No one showed up or called...i repeatedly called them and was given an excuse everytime...so continued to wait. Finally at 630 pm 2 guys showed up..they were very unprofessional.. started our move time at 6:30 and stayed on his phone for 20 minutes. Never moved a single box and it was now almost 7... Told us they couldn't accept visa after 5?? And that our move would take up to 7 hours!! When I disagreed with their estimated time they said they weren't doing it and left. They were awful and left is in a huge bind! When I tried calling the office repeatedly no one would answer my calls! This is a terrible way to handle business and horrendous customer service. I wish there was a zero stars...they don't deserve even 1!

Booked this service for a corporate event. Needed a large canvas to be moved following the outdoor event. They called to confirm the pickup time of 7pm on the day of the event and assured us we would receive a text if they were held up. They did not show up. No call. No way to reach them. I waited outside for 3 hours. Eventually when 10 pm rolled around, I managed to hail a cab (van) to move the art piece and it was damaged due to the small moving space. Blown away by the poor service. Well, not poor service. No service altogether.

I moved items from a small apartment to a storage locker. I had two movers, Eddie and Jacob. Jacob was the lead and was rude, lazy and incompetent. He arrived late, disappeared for long periods and only carried light items leaving Eddie to do all of the heavy lifting. I had asked Jacob to make sure to pack things so that the shelving and table came out early to make the best use of the wall space. He did the opposite. I was not supposed to do any lifting as I had recently had surgery but as Jacob was busy on the phone I emptied my table from the truck and started to work. Eddie and I did 80% of the move. I talked to management about Jacob's behavior and they promised to look into it. Two days later I have not heard back. I certainly paid for two movers but only had one. About 6 days after these events the moving company refunded me 50 dollars. The move cost over 560. It was an attempt to make things right. I would still advise single women to look elsewhere for movers.

I moved from Calgary to Cochrane, Alberta Friday, December 15th, 2017. Movers Victor and Leo were consummate professionals. From their initial greetings of smiling faces exclaiming "good morning" to handshakes and name exchanges these two lads excelled. They not only didn't break or damage a single thing they also assisted in setting up my new bed and frame and were extremely careful wrapping and moving all furnishings. The only complaint I have is in regards to my having just returned from 15 great years teaching English to children in Qingdao, China and these two made me sooo homesick. LOL! Update: Unfortunately editing my review down to 3 stars from 5 after using OO Movers again for a move. The movers were not efficient with their time, but more importantly, the hidden cost of the travel time costing 33% of the moving fee was a slap in the face. I wish it would have been plainly spelled out that we would be charged an additional ~$130 just for travel time, because then I would have avoided using them again altogether. This wasn't something we experienced when we first used them, and it was my mistake for not scrutinizing the terms of the contract and blindly staying loyal to the organization. As for the last move we had, like I said, the movers weren't efficient--they were slow to arrive at the new location from our place (it's a 5-minute drive) and spent time talking when we weren't in the vicinity, to the point that I needed to approach them to make sure the move was complete. We were charged to the minute. Stars given because they were on time (actually, a few hours early after checking in to see if they could start earlier), they were quick to reply to e-mails, and everything was moved without any damage. ------------------------------ We moved to our current apartment four years ago, and I still haven't forgotten about OO Movers and recommend them whenever I can to friends or acquaintances who are moving. After going through many different moving companies, OO made it so easy--they were fast, efficient, responsive, and made our lives a lot easier. Honestly, we've moved around a lot in the past decade and had begun to dread it, but now the only thing to dread is the packing + unpacking because they make it that much easier. If you're looking for a mover (or are just debating on whether you should move it yourself or hire a company), go with OO--worth every [reasonably priced] penny!

I thought I was being thrifty by booking cheap movers with little experience after being recommended by a friend but after they cancelled out of the blue three days before the move I learned a valuable lesson. Thank god for OO Movers who were sympathetic to my crisis and who were more than happy to take the job in such short notice. They made moving all the cumbersome things I had in my apartment look easy — and more importantly — without dinging any of my walls. The father and son team proved professional and worth the money. I hired OO Movers to move a piano for me, and the experience was good, but sadly not 5*. My crew was Manuel and his helper, and Manuel was superb- calm, efficient, knowledgeable about the delicate nature of pianos- very obviously a professional who cares about his job and reputation. His helper however was overly excited and seemed to be in a rush to "just get done" the whole time. While there is nothing inherently wrong with a quick move, a piano requires a higher level of care and concentration. The team arrived over an hour late to the pick up location (I called the office after 45min of waiting and was told they would be there soon but not given a reason), but as soon as they got started everything went okay. At the drop off location things went fairly smooth, including removing the front door to make room for the piano to come in safely. Manuel was VERY professional and courteous to work with and the price for this heavy job was outstanding! I would be very happy to work with him again and recommend him to friends for future piano moves, but I hope he finds a helper who is more well-matched to his careful style.

I used OO movers for my recent move and it was rough. These are my concerns with the specific mover: 1) did not wear his mask 100% of the time when in contact with my things 2) did not social distance when not wearing a mask 3) at one point, his mask had burn marks on it because he was smoking ...so that already decreases the mask's efficacy 4) took 6 smoke breaks in front of me, not sure of how many he took not around me. he smoked in the truck when loading my stuff onto it - as a result, my sofa now smells of cigarettes. 5) he did not always wear a mask when handling my things 6) spoke openly about how he did not believe in Covid's severity or existence 7) said he brought my requested mattress cover but it was one he used on his own bed... 8) swore a fair bit, took personal calls during the move so it was hard for me to direct him as to where my stuff should go 9) complained that he doesn't get all the money charged because OO movers takes a chunk of it Needless to say, I was thoroughly grossed out and anxious about the exposure risk to my things and myself. I emailed OO movers about this but did not receive a response. I called OO movers and this was the response I received: 1) "oh, I'm surprised your stuff smells like cigarettes after one smoking exposure" 2) did you disinfect your things? 3) i'll talk to the mover, we don't actually take a large chunk of the money 4) please leave a review I don't recommend this company to help with your moves. When things are already stressful working full time as a nurse during Covid times, this was not an experience I needed in my life. OO Movers are the middle man between you and various private moving companies; you may as well deal directly with a moving company and receive better service.

Disappointed with the service. I only had 5 items to be picked up and brought to me. I got 4/5 of those items, and several more that weren’t on that list. I paid more than I was told it would cost (maybe due to the fact that they took items not on the list) but the main item I wanted, they didn’t pick up and bring to me. When I asked about the missing item, they just seemed to joke about being able to go back and get it, but for another $100+ so I said forget it, it’s not worth it at this point. But if I had known, I would have found a different company that would have actually followed through with the agreement of the 5 items I wanted and not wasted extra money on time packing up and unloading items that shouldn’t have been.

Sadly, I do not enjoy giving bad reviews for any business, but in this case, this company deserves 0 stars. I was very diligent and I described everything that we needed moved in the preparation form that the company sends. I specified on the phone as well that they would need a big truck. A big truck was not sent. It was a small truck, and we ended up having to pay for two trips. Even after the two trips, there were still items left behind that we had to move ourselves. We also had a very nice crescent fish tank that was broken. My husband saw the movers drop it. They then tried to say it broke in transit, which was dishonest and untrue. I then reached out to the company, and they told me because we did not ask the fish tank be boxed up, that they would not replace it. We also had a lot of solid wood furniture. One of the most precious being my grandmother's single solid oak bed frame. We noticed after the movers had left that it was very badly scratched. I brought this up in my response to the company when they refused to cover the fish tank, and they did not even give me the respect of a reply. Zero stars from me. Hands down. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Where do I start. 1. I never received a confirmation of the move. Called and was assured my move was confirmed and the movers would call the night before to confirm arrival details. the night before never received a call. I called and left a message on their 24 hour voicemail. Received a call the day of the move at 844am being asked if our movers had arrived yet. No they hadn't.. He said he would find out where they were and would call back. Received a call at 915am saying they were on the way and I would receive a call soon. 945am received a call from the movers and they wanted to confirm my address. Sean and his very green partner didn't have a clue what my address was as it wasn't coming up in their GPS. I gave them the correct address. They arrived at 10am and assessed the move. They confirmed the originals movers had most likely slept in because of the fireworks the night before. Quote on quote "you know what these young guys are like. Not reliable." They started to move only furniture as we had moved the boxes the night before as I had a 2year old and wanted to set up things prior to the big move. They took 5.5 hours and didn't even finish as I had to kick them out of the original place as they were taking so long to move pieces of furniture and disappearing in between elevator trips. We were still left with the couch, 1 box and a bunch of miscellaneous stuff still that we had to move later that night. They charged me $749CAD and advised the invoice would follow in my email soon to which it did. The invoice did not match the charges. The excuse Jacob gave me was our machine is broken and it gives different numbers sometimes. If you were overcharged we will refund you the difference. Jacob never called me back. I had to call Monday and spoke with Alex who confirmed the machine was broken and he would look into what happened the day before. I never received a call back. Finally he left a voicemail to tell me I had been overcharged and to confirm my email so they could email transfer me the difference. Never received a revised invoice. I had already called Visa who said they would follow up as that was not right and if the machine was broken OOMovers should get a new terminal. It got to the point where my partner had to call and deal with Don and his manager/.owner to get a refund. After 4 days of back and forth with us having to initiate the follow ups I got a refund of the difference between overcharge and invoice and OOMovers refunded me $295CAD back. Then I got a phone call from their contracted mover Jacob asking why OOMovers took $500CAD from his account and wanted to follow up. Why am I getting calls from the contracted mover and him telling me OOMovers hadn't spoken to him about my situation. I will never use OOMovers nor let any of my friends or family use them as they don't stand behind the customer. Contracting out moves and then when things go wrong not taking any responsibility is not the kind of company I want to deal with. We had great experience previously with OO Movers but this one time absolutely turned us away from every using this company again. A very stressful situation and experience. I recommend if you are going to use this company double checking beforehand who your movers are as we had an awful experience with Montgomery Moving Co hired by OOMovers. We felt very taken advantage of and put in a position where you don't have any other choices. When choosing movers remember this is your life possessions and any company that takes that lightly or makes you feel like you are being a bother isn't worth using. There are many options out there.

I booked this service for a move today 29th June on what has turned out to be the hottest days on record. My move was scheduled for 13:00 and waited till 13:14 as I was prepared to wait knowing it’s a heat wave. I received no call or any indication that they would be late so I decided to phone and asked for a status update and the agent said he cannot provide this. I asked him to contact the driver and ask and he told me this is not possible, I am on standby. Blamed the heatwave. Offered no way of helping and when I asked why no one contacted me he said we were going to call at the end of the day!!!!! I should have been told that I would have been on standby so I could have booked another service. While i understand the extreme heat today, it’s unacceptable to not contact your customers and give them heads up so alternative arrangements can be made. I have now lost my elevator slots for both building and have no way of moving and new tenants moving in today. Thanks so much.

Arrived 4 hours after the quoted time. Initially, was 12, maybe 1pm. Was then told 2-3 pm. Then the driver called to say 4. I was quoted one price, as worst case scenario, like $129/hour with everything in. It ended up being $200/hour. And that's with 10% off? Lol uh huh. A referral bonus? No thanks. I won't be referring anyone.

Here is why I gave them a 1 star. I usually do not leave reviews; I am not a bitter person and a simple “We are sorry” from them would have been enough for me. But… First of all, my appointment was 11:30am-12:30pm on a Saturday. Simple job – 10 small pcs of furniture with 15 min drive between pick up and drop off locations. When truck was not at the pickup location at 12:30pm I gave dispatch a call, I have been told that the crew is at another job, been delayed and she will give me a call in a couple of min with updated ETA. 30 min later, no call back, I had to call them again. Same “let me confirm ETA and call you back”. In the meantime, I am sitting with the people, on their day off, feeling very awkward. Also, management of my apartment building did me a favour and let me use the elevator on a Saturday, which normally is allowed only Mon-Fri, just asked to bring an elevator key back before 3pm. At 1:30pm and no call back and truck in sight I call dispatch again. This time I was assured that the crew is finished at the previous site and the truck should be there shortly. I asked if there is a possibility of getting a discount because of the delays, dispatcher also assured me that the time will start the moment the team would arrive to the pickup location (and not 1+ hour as per initial agreement). Finally, truck showed up at 1:45pm, furniture was loaded in 10 min, and 30 min later all was brought to my apartment in good order. When the team left apartment, to my surprise I have received full invoice with 1 hr drive and 1 hr work time! I called dispatched again and have been told that “Sandra will call you back in a few min to discuss the discount”. Nobody called neither on Saturday nor Sunday. On Monday, I received a phone call from some kind of a manager asking why the bill has not been paid yet. I explained that the team was late for more than an hour from confirmed time window, that I had to chase dispatcher to give me any updates so that I can keep people at the pickup location and my building manager informed, that I was waiting for “Sandra” to give me call. The person on the other line told me that the time that was given to me is “non-binding” and that technically they can arrive anytime they want, no discount is allowed since. I asked him – then how much do you value good reviews on social media. He said that he does not care much and that I must pay full amount right now. I hanged up the phone, paid the amount in full and sitting typing the review now. Good: - Mover crew was a nice bunch of guys. Bad: - Apparently, time given is “non-binding”. - Good luck reaching dispatch to confirm anything. - The tone of the management when dealing with the customers is awful.

July 22nd I got news that we got the apartment we wanted and so I gave notice at the currently rental for August 1st got everything started and called oomovers. I spoke with them on the phone , gave all my information, it was very apparent that I was booking not just getting a quote as I gave addresses, was given a time for when movers were going to be there and apporx. How much it was going to be. I was told between 1:30-3:00 for arrival time. 3:00 rolls around on August 1st and no one has shown up or called. So I call the after-hours message line. I did get a prompt return call, which I was then I formed that I was never booked in, just given a quote ... He said "she didn't take your addresses or anything which tells me it was not an actual booking". I said "no she took all of my information for a set booking!" He then offered no other help at all. "Apologized" extremely non-chalant and was fairly rude about it!! Now my whole family has our life in boxes, we have no help to move as we planned to have movers , kids are minded for the day, and we have to be out of the current property.. how do you just leave people hanging like that. It's completely unprofessional. So 0/10 for me, I will never call them again or recommend them to anyone else. If you use them, exercise caution and follow up with them often... Or you may just find that no one shows up ????????‍♀️????

We hired oomovers to more 7 living room items main floor to main floor from S.E. to NW not at rush hour. Also take one diff sofa down and one up . $440. Most movers we asked for quotes from did not respond or refused work as it was too small of a job. Calgary moves seemed to have good reviews, the bad ones seemed to be Vancouver bc area and oomovers was willing. It was costly and more than quoted by the call centre by 100$. The mover stated the traffic was heavy so charged an extra half hour. What is frustrating about this company is it seems to be franchised with a general call centre in Vancouver taking calls. Booking notifications etc are on line and work great but call centre not quoting correctly. They shd not give a set price. Company owner in Calgary expressed frustration with them. The owner Russell or Ruslan knew his job well and worked hard but was rushing and seemed to have a new person working with him and was instructing him what to do and was getting frustrated with him. That was a bit awkward to hear. We felt bad for the newbie. The new person did drop his end a few times with some of the items. and damaged our armour. There was a scuff on the leather sofa. The moulding came off the side length and bottom. They seemed rushed, didn’t thank us and did not offer to fix the armour. I was paying MasterCard as allowed and he requested etransfer if possible and would give 4% off. Did not get that discount when the receipt came later. They might be ok depending on the workers you get. Maybe you can ask for the good ones. If they have an inexperienced worked, they shd not rush and take some time off from what is charged as they do take longer. We Felt bad for the helping hand as maybe they didn’t take time to train him enough.

Theft during the move ruined an otherwise decent move. Driver brought 2 helpers. Driver and Helper #1 worked hard all day. Helper #2 named "Mike" roamed the house looking for "things to do". Theft was the last thing on our minds but after 2 weeks of going through everything we had in boxes, we coudn't find 2 computer tablets. One could claim we have no proof, but we know, and Mike knows, he took advantage of our trust. I called the driver only after we had exhausted all searching and he said he remembered our move, but couldn't help us. These helpers get assigned to him and he doesn't really know Mike. My recommendation would be: AVOID THESE GUYS or if you do hire them, KEEP VALUABLES OUT OF SITE OF OO MOVERS

My girlfriend was to move a piano with this company a couple weeks ago. I spent some time over the phone in the days prior to the moving date, arranging it and confirming it with the company. They seemed enthusiastic and understood the date and time that were agreed upon. They sent me an e-mail confirmation, which I had them amend, because there was a stipulation in the agreement that stated it would cost in addition to the flat rate, another large cost in dollars per hour on top of the flat rate (I can't remember how much it was per hour, but I called back and they removed it from the second e-mail confirmation they sent, and I accepted it as everything looked good according to the verbal agreement we made over the phone prior). The piano needed to be moved before the last day of the month of November (this move was just a few days before the end of the month), so it was of extreme importance to us that these people could be counted upon to get the job done. This piano means a lot to me. The day of the move, scheduled for 9am, the moving company did not show up at the pickup location. I had to call the company while I was at work multiple times to remind them to call the contact (my girlfriend) and they did not help at all. They said they were not aware of why the moving crew was not there. My girlfriend was unable to make contact with the so-called movers for over 40 minutes after the arranged time of pickup. I finally hung up from this telephone game I was forced to play, as I was on the job, and forwarded the company's contact to my girlfriend who was patiently waiting at the pickup location. After she called the number the first time, she told me the person on the other end claimed to be a 7-11 store, an outright insult and a total lie. I am shocked at the incompetency, recklessness and utter disrespect that was exhibited by these people. Their attitude was dismissive of us and our needs. If irritating their clients is these guys' job, then these guys go above and beyond. I'd even go so far as to say they are spectacular professionals at it. My girlfriend tried again and again and ended up finally getting through to them, but only to learn that the moving company's crew were not able to make it because their moving vehicle was not functional. They didn't call to warn us or to give us any notice, they didn't try to get in touch and they left the onus on us, their client, to make the communication happen. What a waste of time, and energy. My girlfriend left a bad review here already, but I am going way out of my way to leave an even worse review in addition to that as I have not had the displeasure of having to deal with such a groanfully incompetent group of dimwits in a long time. Also, my girlfriend's review does not even come close to representing the disappointment, stress, anguish and pure annoyance that myself and my girlfriend had to go through because of this. These movers are hands down the most primitive version of bipodals I have encountered since the last time I watched the opening scene of 2001: A Space Odyssey. The other review made by my poor girlfriend was responded to by the General Manager of this company. Hey John Anthony, if you're reading this, maybe instead of sending a text with a lame excuse and apology, why don't you offer a way to make it up to us? Do better, you say? Yeah. Do better, indeed. Do. Better. We will not recommend this company to anyone, and I am actively recounting this story to anyone who is in need of moving services so as to warn them of this company and their total lack of skills and ability to do their only job. The worst experience ever. Not only did they forgot about my move, which i called and confirmed a week prior; they finally sent some movers 3 hours after my original move time; who hit on my family members, broke my furniture and was down right rude and gross. The movers demanded a tip and for us to feed them. When i called OO movers back, they took my call but kept passing the buck between "managers" to call me back. When finally one did, they reimbursed me $130 for my " inconvenience". When i called to inquire about my broken furniture they refused to call back. NEVER HIRING THEM AGAIN. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!

Oh I wish I could give 0 stars. The company overcharged me a whole hour. They had me wait 5+ hours at the pick up location because their “truck broke down” and when the truck was fixed and on the way again, “the truck broke down again.” There were many inconsistencies in the story. Also, I am missing my most expensive item (Apple desktop computer). The team was mostly nice except the individual I talked to mostly whose name was Alex. This guy is unprofessional and said I should’ve have been watching my items, as if I was expecting a moving business to steal from me. After reading multiple reviews, I can honestly say this company is a hit or miss when it comes to moving and I ended up on the miss side. I would not book with them. There are many other companies (even smaller ones) that are much better options and I wish I would have gone to someone else. This was the first company I called and booked because I was in a hurry. Don’t book with them and if you do, talk to John not Alex.

I explained when I booked them that I needed a few large items moved (I stated exactly what these items were). Two people showed up and started making excuses about how heavy the furniture was. They didn't make an effort to move anything even though my husband was also trying to help. They said they needed three people and just left our house without letting us know while my husband was in another room. I have never dealt with such an unprofessional, unhelpful company EVER. Stay Away Everyone! The Worst Customer Experience I’ve Ever Faced. We hired OO Movers in October 2019 to deliver three display units that were approx. 72” long x 24” deep x 40” high. The units were to be picked up from our location in Surrey, BC, and then delivered to our customer in Vancouver, BC, which is approximately a 45-minute drive. With the driving time being so little and the load being quite small, we projected the entire job to take under 3-hours and cost us less than $400. They ended up charging us for 12-hours of billable time, which equated to a total bill of over $1600! The drivers were very incompetent and did not have the equipment needed to complete the move. They even managed to cause some damage to the display cases while they were in their possession. When the job was booked, we gave strict instructions to not accept any additional work from our customer, and to refuse to take away any garbage or packing materials. Our instructions were completely ignored as they end up removing the garbage for our customer and charging us a $320.00 fee for doing so. We called approximately a dozen times to discuss the bill, and every time a lady named Sandra continuously gave us the run-around and was never able to connect us with somebody who could help rectify the issue. We left numerous messages and emails for the person in charge, John Anthony, but we were never able to speak with him and he never responded to one of our many emails. After getting nowhere for a month, we decided to give up and accept a ridiculously small amount off the bill, which wasn’t even close to what was fair. OO Movers is not trustworthy. If anybody is looking for a moving company, I suggest you stay away from OO Movers and go with one of their competitors. I usually don’t take the time to write reviews, but my experience was so bad that I had to take the time to warn others.

My experience with Owner Operator Movers was terrible. They were scheduled to arrive at 1:00 pm. When the didnt arrive i phoned to see what was happening. All afternoon i got the run around from them. Telling me they couldnt contact the driver but their GPS showed him at a job site. Finally about 4:30pm they said they couldnt move me. They said the driver was in an accident. They encouraged me to find another mover. Of course it was too late in the day to do that. All the mover's offices were closed for the day. Zero star review for customer service, professionalism, efficacy and reliability. 1. Move time was changed from 9:30am to 2:30pm without notifying me. I had to call to be told it had changed and they couldn’t tell me why. 2. Was then told someone would then be there at 10:30am. Nobody showed up until 1:45pm 3. I booked packing services and the movers arrived with boxes (no wrapping) but were not prepared to pack and had not been told they were to do so. 4. They were not productive with the move, appeared completely inexperienced and showed no efficiencies in the move itself. When I called in the middle of the move to complain I was told that "you can get poor service in a last minute booking" (I booked a month in advance). It took 3 hours and 45 minutes to move a mattress, 4 bar stools, two small bed side tables, 10 boxes. 5. I was told I had to pay $700 on the spot despite my complaints about the service and they did nothing to discuss internally about how much I had been messed around all day. When I submitted my complaint Alex called me and said there was nothing they could do. He would not even apologize for any inconvenience caused. He was rude, talked over me and wouldn't let me speak. He refused to respond to my email in writing. This has been the worst moving experience I have ever encountered.

If you're looking for a company who doesn't keep their word on what you've booked, nor keep their word on calling you back afterwards, go with this company. Otherwise, save yourself the STRESS, ANXIETY AND DISAPPOINTMENT, and go with a company that will treat you properly and with respect. The booking agent confirmed I’d get 3 movers due to having a Large move, would receive a truck big enough for only one trip, and receive an hourly discount for not being considered an end of the month move (move was scheduled for the 24th). I was moving 40 minutes away (driving in a normal vehicle) so one large enough truck when getting charged an hourly rate was extremely important. Moving day arrived (the day before people got possession of my house) with 2 movers vs. 3, a truck that was not big enough for one trip and a move that I was charged 12 hours for. (At least 2 hours extra for travel time alone plus the labour of how fast two movers could complete it vs. three). The move was taking so long we eventually asked for boxes to be dropped at the front door to help speed things along. When moving from a 1400 sq. ft. townhouse, I would not expect 12 hours. When I called a Manager after the move because I was beyond disappointed, I was told 3 separate times/ days he'd call me back to make things better. On the third call, (HE DID NOT CALL ME BACK ONCE, I had to follow up), he claimed I didn't get a 3rd mover because of a broken leg, (apparently advanced notice of this was too much to ask for), I had two full truck loads (the only big furniture in the 2nd load was a taken apart table and crib and the extra 4 feet for the largest truck would have more than accommodated everything we required), he couldn't replace the 3rd guy because I was suddenly considered an end of the month move (despite being told I was initially getting a discount), he hadn't called me back yet because he was dealing with 60 moves across 3 cities and was too busy, and yet still assured me he would call me back. It's now been a week... Our original plan was to hire this company again to help move everything from a storage unit to our new house. (Yes, we'd also decluttered which meant we had even less stuff in our house that was moved). This experience was so bad we have decided to rent a U-Haul, and utilize friends and family to avoid a repeat of such a negative experience.

A Horrendous apartment-move short story: If I can, I would rate these movers w/ zero stars, and I am not one to write reviews, but I must speak out about my experience. This is my story, no exaggeration... I scheduled a 1 bedroom apartment move on Nov 27th w/ OO-movers (Vancouver branch). The front office desk personnel was polite and professional and told me arrival time would be between 12-2pm. However they did warn me that there could be a slight delay on arrival.129$/hr. I didn't mind; they seemed trust-worthy, afterall these guys are well renowned throughout Canada! Nov 27th moving day: I was ready to go, boxes ready. At 2pm I was still waiting, and have not heard from them at all. By 2:30pm I was starting to worry as I have not recieved a call or text or email other than a confirmation email a few days prior. So I called the office. No answer. I called again, no answer, but this time I did leave a message. I called a third time 15min later and finally reached the front office guy named Jason. He said not to worry. The movers were delayed by an earlier appointment, and I was told they will arrive at my apartment at 3:30pm. I waited until 4pm. Again no call no text from the movers/office. I was anxious AF at this point. I had to call the office again. I literally called the office atleast 5 times! ATLEAST! All calls I made had no one answer! Not one! Are they ignoring me? I even had my gf call thinking they're avoiding my number. But still nothing. I was calling every 15min until 5:30pm and still no one was picking up. I gave up at that point. I figured they forgot about me or just straight up neglected me. I had to call another mover. A small company in Burnaby called 4youmoving. Office manager Hardy picked up immediately. I told him my story. He 'promised' to come the following day!! And he only charged me 99$/hr. for the same size truck and same amount of movers (2 movers). At 6:30pm I had a call from OO movers. The guy said he got in to an accident and will arrive at 7pm with a different truck. He even sent me a picture of his accident. He was persistent, and wanted my service. I told him 'hell no' and that I found another guy. He seemed very annoyed that I rejected him. But understood my situation. Anyhow, 4youmoving arrived the next day as promised, and I was pleasantly surprised to see office manager Hardy as part of the moving team. They finished the job perfectly under 3 hrs! And I was finally able to move on w/ my life. Ps. I noticed that the GM of OOmovers would reply to bad reviews and leave his number (an American number). I tried calling that too during my dilemma, multiple times and guess what, no answer! I don't know if it's the company entirely or if it's the Vancouver branch that needs fixing, but I would not recommend to anyone. Please be cautious with these guys. They screwed me up royally! 4Youmoving is a much smaller company but definitely more personal and reliable.

Note that this review is no reflection on the contracted movers- they were exceptional! We had a last minute move to coordinate and spoke with the Moving rep who was very accommodating at the time. He called from a BC number so I assumed that's where their Call Centre is. He (Greg) quoted a discount of 10% as he scheduled our move. He explained the $133 hourly rate would show on the email confirmation but the 10% discount would be applied at the move time. He explained we were obligated to pay 1 hour driving time as a minimum and would be charged in 15 minute increments after. None of these details were on their email confirmation and there was no place for me to note these items. I had to call them to resend the email as it wouldn't allow me to accept and confirm- that should have been my "omen". The truck arrived slightly earlier than our 10am booking which was fine, everything was ready and the load out went quick. The movers, Ivan and Igor were exceptional and personable. My disappointment stems from the 10% discount that was not communicated to them and the 3 hour minimum that was not communicated to me. And then I learn that if paying by credit card, there's an additional $3.00 added to the hourly rate which brought us to $136/hour! I expressed frustration but didn't haggle- we needed the move done asap. Our move was small- a 3 piece sectional, electric fireplace and 2 large pictures going 20 minutes away. Everything was taken apart, with couch cushions wrapped and ready for them so this was a really quick job. The contracted movers were great...I grade them independently on 5 Stars. As for OOMovers - along with integrity, they seriously lack in communication skills. If you like surprises and choose to deal with them- make sure all the details are documented in the confirmation. Otherwise, look elsewhere. RESPONSE TO OWNER: Thank you, John. I received the link to the receipt on Monday and note that the charges are slightly less than what was explained to me at delivery. I was not provided with any final paperwork and at the writing of my review anticipated full charges as explained by the movers. In spite, I remain disappointed that the initial sales pitch did not at all match the expectations set for the move- the 15 minute increments, the surprise of the 3% credit card charge (whether it was applied or not- it came as a surprise on Saturday). Having talked to a number of moving companies, I booked with you based on the 15 minute increments so understood clearly. And as explained by Greg that they wouldn't be and instead be applied during the move, no- the details as discussed were not accurately listed on the confirmation email and provided no place to detail our discussion before confirming. I confirmed based on trust. In any case, the move itself is done and done well.

Movers came on time and were super friendly. To our disappointment the elevator was not padded yet. After doing the walk around of the condo, I went to look for the building manager and in just a span of 10 minutes or less, I saw all my large suitcases and plastic boxes already loaded into the truck. That was super-fast – and I liked the fact that instead of wasting time, they took own initiative to move the items which were less prone to causing any damage to the elevator. The move itself was quick and efficient. The crew was very respectful. The issue I had is that they showed up late and the communication with the client was managed poorly. Earlier that day I got notified that the crew was going to be two hours late because of a mechanical issue and that was fine. The crew did not arrive at the expected time after the notification then I checked with customer services and they said that they were on route and arriving in 10-15 min. The crew arrived almost 3 hours later after my last phone call with customer services. The move finished around 10:30 pm. No one returned my voice messages.

I had booked OO movers more than 3 weeks in advance of my 1 bedroom apartment move from Vancouver to Calgary , the booking process was smooth however when move day came they did not show up... I waited all day at my apartment, even calling hours before the pickup slot to confirm. I waited and waited and when I called 2 hours AFTER my slotted pickup time and they informed me that the truck had filled up and they were scrambling to rent a uhaul or find another truck... They were not well organized and gave me little confidence that they would be able to come through. After much stress (lining up a last minute backup moving company etc.) and a day of my time wasted they showed up over 24 hours late (6PM the NEXT day). Speaking with the driver he admitted that he was overbooked for time and resources. Then the long haul move began, they had a very hard time providing me with a ETA of my shipment which was frustrating since I would not be receiving my truck and had to make arrangements with friends to receive on my behalf. The office staff were not very helpful and were VERY VERY hard to get a hold of let alone an answer out of in terms of ETA. Ultimately it took them 6 days to deliver my truck (I was more expecting 2-4). My shipment arrived in good condition and my friend receiving spoke highly of the quality of the movers. It seems that the movers were exceptional but due to the overwhelmingly frustrating customer experience I had with the management and organization of the services I cannot recommend this long distance moving service. I would only recommend if you have a high degree of flexibility in terms of pickup and delivery.

I moved from Vancouver to Vancouver Island and I was very happy with OO movers both for their very efficient service and the bargain cost. The move was done by a team of 3 even though I was only charged for a two person crew. They had booked the ferries well and they finished faster than scheduled. I had more stuff than normal for a large 2 bedroom apartment but even so through skill and experience they were able to load everything by utilizing all space to the ceiling. Very upbeat and respectful group. I highly recommend these movers.

This is the worst company ever! Just used them for an end of April move. We moved to Airdrie, was quoted @$500 and around 3hrs. 7 mid size shelves, boxes and a mattress. As the bedframe was collapsed and taken apart. Which they advertise they help with stuff like that and they refused. Secondly, one mover was in his 30's and the other an elderly man who looked like he may drop at any time. We had no large furniture like couches and such. All the items where set up at the front door of a one bedroom apt. And it took them 5+ hours, with them Disappearing for an hour in travel. Apparently we paid for them to stop and have lunch. They billed us for equip use even thou they didn't use any extra items. And when we got to unpacking our items. Boxed dishes that were labeled fragile and in foam packing were all destroyed. Bagged bedding and blankets went missing. And the shelves had massive damage, whether it be nicks or gashes where the finish came right off. The move ended up costing around the $700 dollar mark. And when approaching the company about the issues. Their customer service agent Miranda...bullies and verbally assaults you. Indicating that it's all your fault for trusting their company. ***PLEASE*** DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! The worst ever! Go with professionals. ****No response back or willingness to correct the issues I mentioned. They break or items go missing and TAKE YOUR MONEY! Great scam/scheme to rip people off!!! And they keep emailing like they're a responsible business and willing to do the right thing. If you WANT TO BE...ripped off, Racially vilified and stolen from. This is the company for you. Worst Company out there!!! And after a few months still ignore my responses about damage to my furniture, or "lost" items. THEIVES!

Picked these guys last minute and got a quick professional reply - and wanting to bump up my move I agreed to a next morning 9am (first move of the day) .. being a Tuesday and the first move of the day with the address at the time of booking there is simply no excuse to be late.. let alone calling the next day at 8am to confirm they'd be on time. At approx 8:55 I received a call saying they would be atleast 20 min late *bad start.. also having had this same move twice before over 5 years never to acceed 3 hours .. these guys ran 4 hours plus an hours drive time which they still charged being late. Although the swamper was kind the owner showed a total lack of urgency or respect for my time. Also, totally ignoring direct intructions on organizing boxes etc cost me time and money. For those reasons, I think these guys should stick to the suburbs because they simply do not poccess the experience or tools to compete a scheduled downtown / high rise move: unfortunately cannot recommend.

I am fairly certain all the positive reviews must be fake. Do yourself a favour and use a reputable moving company (it will be the same price or cheaper). Oomovers is just a referral company, that gets moving leads and then gets paid a referral fee for sending work to other moving companies (or a random guy with a truck/trailer). My experience today was horrible, the move had to be canceled as they didn't have the appropriate truck (it was a small trailer). When I called oomovers to discuss it became clear they didn't care. They recommended the movers can make multiple trips.... at 165/hr. I ended up having to schedule last minute with a reputable moving company. I will be paying the same price. Wish I had done the right thing in the first place.

My family used the Calgary division of OO Movers to move our family into our new home in June 2014. Here has been my experience. I found the company easy to work with to obtain quotes. When the crew first arrived, i found the "owner" of the group to be professional. There were two "non" owners as well. In the AM, I found them to generally be professional. They did not bring runners though, which i didn't like. They did ask me if I minded if they kept their shoes on. I agreed, as a cleaning crew was arriving the following day. The crew worked very hard, they took little to no breaks. It was impressive. As a special thank you, I purchased them all lunch and bought them some gatorade. In my new home, the cleaning crew already left, including the carpet cleaning company. The OO MOvers did not use runners, I needed to ask them multiple times to remove their boots. They kept trying to "sneak" in with shoes on. I found them careless with the move in, and moved most items into the garage, even though they were labelled. (It took us weeks to move all the items from the garage into the home.) Later in the afternoon, i was in the garage assessing items with the intent that i could direct the crew to move additional items in. It was then that I saw one of the crew members rummaging through my son's nightstand! I watched him steal money from me and put it in his back pocket! My husband was at work during the move and being a female in the home with 3 strangers who think nothing of stealing from someone, i was extremely uncomfortable. I felt very vulnerable. My husband and I made the decision not to discuss it with the company, as in the end, it was a small amount of money, and they knew where we lived. Instead i posted a review on two review sites, and moved on. Eventually we determined that the crew stole other items from us as well. We had to have our carpet re-cleaned as they were completely filthy. In February of 2016, I was contacted by the owner of the company, (who claimed he was hired to fix their online image) I was told that my review was "crippling" the business. He was eager to have it removed prior to their busy move season. I was asked how much money it would cost to remove my post. This phone call was especially disturbing, as my experiences were not considered at all. It was all about the company. I wasn't told how they will ensure quality control in their services or staff they hire. I and my family was not apologized to for the violations that occurred. General, basic customer consideration was not applied. We were offered a sum of money that didn't even cover the losses we experienced. This company may, or may not have fixed their quality issues since then.

This is my first time ever writing a review. It has been such a poor experience today for my moving. I booked the move for noon. Got a call at 11:11am saying that he arrived. I said I will not be home till approximately 11:45am. He then said why? Your booking is just a time slot around. If we are early, we start right away. When I got home, I showed them my stuff, he said it's a small job and not worth their time. Ok, they stayed and moved everything to their truck. Got to destination. When he arrived, he said show me where elevator is. I saw that they have protective mats , so I suggest maybe he can use that cuz its hard wood floor. It saves them time to take shoes off and put it back on and also from any potential damage to the floor. He said without hesitation very rude JUST SHOW ME WHERE THE ELEVATOR IS. I kinda got shocked and a little uncomfortable. He went on and said I AM IN A HURRY, I got another job to do. I got really upset and just let them complete the move. I got the bill, the amount I paid for is approx. $420. The service they provided is TOTALLY NOT WORTH THE AMOUNT I PAID FOR. I will NOT use this company ever again and will definitely NOT RECOMMEND IT TO MY friends. Given it's a small job, WHICH HE SAID SO IN THE BEGINNING, it still took them two hours to complete. This is the worst moving company I have ever encountered, given that I have moved over 20 times in the past 10 years due to job nature.

It's not ease to find and recommend a moving company. Was not ease to find a moving company for a holiday as November 11th. Today two trucks with four people crew moved my four bedroom house. All four people were hard working, careful with the furniture and also careful with the walls. Based on my experience I recommend OOMOVERS as a moving company.

I don't even know where to begin. First off, they were 4 hours late. When we booked with them they told us we were the first move, obviously this turned out to be a lie. When they showed up they showed up with a truck that could fit maybe half of our stuff. Their customer service is horrendous. 3 times during the wait I called to check in, each time I was told I would get a call back. Nobody ever called me back. After realizing the truck was to small they tried to get a bigger truck, an hour later I got a phone call saying they could be there at 5pm. I told them this was far to late. So they said they would be at my place at 8am the next day. To my surprise they were. It took them forever. 8 hours to move a 2 bedroom apartment from Vancouver to new west. The unpacking is supposed to be faster... That portion took them longer than the packing. I had assembled my living room and had began unpacking my bedroom before they were done. Because I thought it was a different company I did not complain to much. Then I got the receipt that was from these guys. Had I known it was the same company I would have lost it. All they offered was some measly excuse, not an apology, about how they were sorry and because of covid they were busy. We have a 2 year old and trying to get him to sleep that first night with all his stuff packed up already was a nightmare. This company took one of the more stressful days a family can go through and made it that much worse.

Dimitry and his partner arrived slightly before the scheduled time. I was impressed.They were very friendly, helpful, efficient and competent both in loading and unloading. They worked very hard in the heat that day, and we careful with my daughters items. I would recommend them any time.

We had two moves in one week. The first movers was scheduled on Saturday and they were great and amazing and they did a fantastic job. Ryan and his crew took great care of our furniture and did not damage anything. They were efficient. I would give these guys 5 stars. Our second move which happened today, did not go as smoothly. We had the movers pick up some furniture that we purchased from a different location and then to be delivered to our office. Unfortunately, the two guys were pretty rude and they were really rough with our furniture. One of the wheels fell off from our chair and they damaged a piece right in front of me, picked up the broken pieces and proceed to through the damages pieces into the garbage. I was not happy with their service at all. I give these guys 1/2 a star. So, all in all, I would recommend Ryan and his team and I would not recommend the second set of movers at all.

The 3-some crew we had - Ryan, Cam and Thirston, were professional, courteous and fabulous. They made a point of introducing themselves to us with a hand shake when they first arrived. We were very impressed. They were hard workers, barely took any breaks, took much care to wrap all furniture and fragile pieces, worked in synch with each other and were just a delight. This company is a SCAM!!!!! HIDDEN FEE'S! Claiming 133$ an hour but it takesan hour Minimum JUST to arrivege at your pick up spot. Which they NEVER disclaimed in the first place. Customer service is absolutely garbage. I called to ask why there was a hidden fee, and there wasn't anyone "authorized to take my phone call." They also said they would notify me in 30 minutes when this "authorized manager" could call me back, and they never did. Disturbing.

The move was completed as planned, except for the big surprise with the final cost. In your web site the price for the Small Move Special is $69/h, and it said NO HIDDEN FEES. When I requested the quote from you for what I consider really is the small move (it was completed in 1 hour, including travel time between the condo and the storage), you quoted the price $119/h. I accepted the price, did not question the difference from $69 to $119. When the invoice was issued after the move was completed, we had to pay for two hours instead of one, total $249, 90 with tax.. You have never mentioned in your quote that we need to pay 1 extra hour travel time $119 + $119/h. What we paid is actually DOUBLE from your quote. I was disappointed, and sent an email to your administrator to complain about the price, but no one responded to my email.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I was quoted $2500 for my move. The day of the move they showed up with a small truck which couldn’t fit all my things. So I had to stay another day costing me money. Then they said that I have more things then they thought and wanted more money. They estimated that I had 10,500 pounds and wanted $8,000 instead of the $2,500 they quoted me. Which when it was actually weighed I only had 5,900. They told me they weren’t going to deliver my things unless I paid them more money. They finally agree to deliver my things and didn’t show up and nobody called me to notify me. I got a call the next morning stating they’d be here in a few hours. There was several items damaged in the move but they refuse to compensate me unless I pay them the extra money they tried to extort from me. Do yourself a favour and use a more honest capable company.

5 stars! Our movers came right on time on the day of our move. We moved from an apartment into the house and the movers were very careful moving all of the big and small items from our unit. They were fast but most importantly they didn't damage the unit or any of the items. When unloading they were able to Back the truck up in a very tight space and quickly unloaded everything including the large couches placing everything where it needed to be. I would recommend OO Movers!

I want people to know about oo movers before thinking about using them l went with oo movers after looking at some reviews l called them and got a email with everything that was to be done and when they come to move my stuff they damage my dressers and massage chair and when my wife told them they told her that the damage was already there and when they damage the wall in my condo she asked them and told her the same thing the funny thing is that my condo is new and l did the walk through 3 days before the move with the builder and everything was ok so if you want to use oo movers don't pay until your stuff is fixed or ok that's what l was told after the fact because the out come would have been much different and one more thing when it comes time to pay they put in extra hidden fees that where not in the estimate

Well in recent memory, this moving company has to be the worst I have ever hired. First of all we were charged for boxes that would not have been required if they had met our earlier request of supplying wardrobe boxes. Not having wardrobe meant my daughter and I had to wrap our clothes with garbage bags. Then when we got to our destination which was a support living facility, all of our furniture needed to be sanitized, which infuriated our mover. He was also infuriated when the people at the facility would not lock down the elevator so he could use it solely for the move up to the 3rd floor. The mover showed no diplomacy, and irritated the facility people to no end. In summation, this mover was very unprofessional to say the least, and I would not recommend hiring them.
