We had the best experience with Orbit! Due to COVID 19 prior to our international move from Toronto Canada to London Uk we went back and forth with the Orbit team on the actual moving date as our plans shifted many times. They were so accommodating and in the end found the best route and packing day for us, two weeks earlier than we had originally booked. The team in Toronto on packing and loading day were friendly, professional, and packed every item with care! The loaded the container so well with no wasted space. Our Quote was 100% accurate, no hidden fees or charges! The whole time while our container was on water we were able to track its movement and it arrived on time and was delivered the first working day after it hit the port. So speedy and we didn’t face any delays. The international partners that Orbit used were equally as amazing and delivery day were was as smooth as can be and not a single item was damaged or broken in the move. The team in London commented on how well it was all packed in Canada and was so impressed by how they wrapped each item. I would recommend Orbit to anyone moving. We feel we had an amazing move, with very little stress and for great value and true transparency.

We compared lots of moving companies for our move from Canada to Europe and ended up choosing Orbit because of the good reviews and cheap prize. We were not satisfied, and cannot recommend this company. Short version: we ended up paying much more than we were told, because they made a bad job in packing, and yet they were not willing to negotiate it. Long story: Orbit sent one of their employees to go through our house in order to produce a quote of what the move would cost. The person who came seemed professional, although he went through the house with his iPad in quite a hurry - we afterwards wondered if he really took notice of all the things we showed him. The quote we received was very affordable, so we took their offer. We thought that the amount of cubic feet listed in the quote was quite low, though, so my wife got in touch with them once more before the moving date just to confirm that everything we showed to the agent was included in the quote, and that the quote really would hold. At this point the first person had stopped working for Orbit, but the agent we were corresponding with assured us that the quote would indeed hold. During the moving day, we were served by a friendly trio of movers. This part of the experience we have no complaints of: they seemed to be working fast and efficient. They did run out of wrapping paper (meant for dishes) though, and I went to purchase them some more. They were polite and quick, though. When the bill came, we were quite surprised, because the sum was more than 1000 CAD higher than what the quote had been. This was especially surprising because we actually had taken OUT some of the items we originally had planned to take with us (such as a queen-sized bed frame with headboards etc.) So we ended up moving less stuff than we originally had shown when the quote was being made, and still had to pay so much more. I was in touch with the people in Orbit and stated these points. The agent I was in touch with was again new - the previous one had quite. She was friendly and listened to my side of the story, though, and promised to be in touch with her superiors. In the end, though, nothing changed. We were informed that the quote was just an estimate, and the bill would have to be based on the actual amount moved, not the original quote. We began to think that the quote was either not very professionally made, or it had been made unrealistically low on purpose to get us to choose them. Our things arrived in time, and we began to unpack them. This is where things began to seem almost absurd. We found large moving boxes where the content had to be about 80% packaging material. Each individual mason jar we had was wrapped in three layers of packaging paper. We had pens and cellphone charging cables wrapped in paper. Some boxes were half-empty. So this was the reason our bill was so high! The packing team had been very friendly, but clearly lacked skill in packing efficiently. Had we seen this coming, we would have gone through the trouble of packing ourselves, or at least reduce the amount moved - now the moving cost for many of these boxes was much higher than the value of their contents! The last straw came this morning when we were unpacking some icons painted on wood - they were full of scratches because no one had put a piece of paper between them and they had rubbed against each other during the move. They literally wrapped pen and pencils in thick layers of paper, and failed to put anything between (quite valuable) paintings! Mistakes happen, but even though the personnel in Orbit were always polite, we got the feeling that in the end we ended up paying more than we should have, they were not willing to really negotiate the price, and we didn't get the service we paid for.

(Toronto to San Diego) Orbit deserves 10 stars from me! The process of choosing a moving company was so stressful, I contacted 4 companies and Tomy from Orbit is the only company that actually came to survey my belonging (which is more accurate to quote), they charge by volume which is another plus. I received clear instructions on requited documentation customs handling, insurance and prep work to make packing day smooth. Packing day was very smooth, the packing crew were very polite, experienced and professional. I had major concern of going over my volume/budget (due to some reviews said the crew takes up more space to charge you more) when I explained to the crew, they made all efforts to pack smart yet safe. I had 3 big furniture items to ship, the rest was a lot of glassware and fragile decorative items with sentimental value. There was ZERO damage when they arrived! My shipment arrived a week later than the estimate they gave me (which I believe was too optimistic to begin with), However, Pavel my contact in Toronto always responded to my emails explaining reasons behind the delay. Delivery crew were as professional as the packing. They placed my boxes where I wanted and unpacked the big furniture as promised. BIG THANKS for me to all the team in Toronto and San Diego! We recently moved from Toronto to the UK and can't say enough good things about the Orbit. First, the office staff was courteous, always timely in its correspondence and very helpful in navigating the logistics of an overseas move - from our initial contact until our shipment arrived in the UK. Second, we found them to be quite cost-effective compared to their competitors, considering the move was "full service" (which included packing and door-to-door delivery) - and their quote was pretty bang on, which really helped with budgeting (there were no "hidden" or surprise costs). Lastly, the "packing" crew was truly impressive in its efficiency and professionalism... and they packed our items so well! We are really happy with the service and would definitely recommend Orbit to others.

I was very disappointed for the service offered by Orbit movers. It is difficult to summarize in a few lines what we have been through and all our negative experience with this company, but I will try to cover most of it. Final cost almost twice the estimate We had to move from Toronto to San Francisco, and we contacted Orbit movers after an online search. We had their sale person, Tomy, surveying our place to provide an accurate estimate of the volume of the goods that we had to ship (their price is CA$ 11.40 per cubic feet). For our one-bedroom apartment, we ended up with an estimated volume of 261 cft. When the moving crew came to pick up and pack all our stuff, they told us the total volume already seemed a little higher than the estimated, but we were basically fine with a marginal increase. To mention is also the fact that the crew did whatever possible to increase the volume by underloading the shipping boxes. The surprise came when they sent us an invoice with additional 181 cft of volume, almost twice the original estimate. We didn’t have any chance to check their measurement as it was done in their warehouse a few days later (we had already left the city). Total lack of communication Even if quite disappointed about the price increase, we thought that our move would now proceed without any other concerns. We made sure with Orbit that the pickup and delivery dates were very coordinated with our travels. Before signing the contract, we explicitly asked for which dates they could guarantee the pickup and delivery of our goods, and we then arranged our travels. This agreement was made both with Tomy, their sale person, and Susan, their move manager. We were also assured continuous updates about the status of our shipment. However, after the crew picked up our stuff and we paid the invoice, we received zero notifications or updates regarding our move. We should have imagined that something bad was going to happen, and the second surprise did come. Three days before the scheduled delivery, I (not them) reached out to ask at what time we should expect the crew to deliver our stuff. The unbelievable answer was that our goods were still on a truck to San Francisco and they could not provide us with a delivery date. 10-day delay in delivery When we signed the contract with Orbit, we agreed on the pickup and delivery dates, February 21 and March 11, respectively. We were told that the company operates moves from Toronto to California on a daily basis and that 18 days for such move were perfectly feasible. After they informed us that we would not receive our stuff by the scheduled delivery, we had several phone calls where they kept saying that the inconvenience was not their fault and they blamed both the truck driver and the weather. We had to stay in a new city with nothing other that two suitcases in our new place that was empty. We had to buy many things that we already had just because of this delay. They didn’t even consider any form of reimbursement. This situation lasted for almost ten days, when we eventually received our stuff on March 21. During our experience with Orbit, we could see their total lack of professionalism and that they do not care about their customers. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

After a bit of a frustration in the early part of our international move (before Orbit was involved), the staff at Orbit (Jared, in particular) and his movers were absolutely top shelf. They moved everything safely and right where it was supposed to be. They were professional, classy and the office staff helped with all the paperwork. I was able to clear customs at pearson in less than 15 minutes because I knew all the right documents to have, present them quickly and engage them correctly. If you're moving to the Toronto area, I highly recommend the services of Orbit. Absolutely first rate.

Very happy about these movers! My family were living in a small apartment in Toronto, Canada and were moving back to the US with a newborn. We had no time to pack our things and do the move ourselves. International moves are expensive if not doing them yourselves, but I am so glad we hired Orbit International Moving. We had someone come in and give us a quote and Jared kept everything in order with our documents. The movers came early on moving day and did a fantastic job packing. All our things arrived in the US safe. It did take a little longer than we expected but it all came. The movers were careful with everything (the ones packing and moving things to their truck from Toronto and also ones unloading into our new place in the US). Great company and very professional. If you plan to hire them, book it early so you can reserve elevators in your building if living in the city.

The absolute worst company ! I was given these con artists from a brokerage company , whom by the way ..never told me they were selling me to a third party .I was given a estimate and it ended up being 2 thousand dollars more and I didn’t get my stuff for 7 weeks and when he got here he charged me every more bc their is stairs .. yet he never used the stairs he did the elevator for everything !! Also he had me pay him thru zelle and when I sent the money to him he said he needed me to send it again another way bc zelle wasn’t going to be in his account until the next business day , so he sat and waited for me to call my bank when he new well enough they could not reverse the zelle . When the bank told me this was a scam that crooks do to get more money . Over all I am so dissatisfied with all the aggravation this company gave me that was so unnecessary and unwarranted. I should have just gone with a real company and paid more bc I didn’t save anything anyways!!!

As the 2018 aliyah season is gearing up I thought I would share my great experience with Orbit and their partner companies, Regent Transport in Montreal and Sonigo in Israel. Everyone from start to finish were highly professional, responsive to all my questions both serious and silly and delivered all my precious personal possessions to my second floor walkup in Israel in perfect condition. As an artist I was particularly concerned about the transport of my work. I needn't have been worried. The packers from Regent were incredibly professional and efficient. The crew at Orbit assuaged my anxieties about what I could and could not bring and kept everything flowing smoothly. And finally the customs clearance and delivery handled by Sonigo in Israel couldn't have been faster and worry free. I highly recommend Orbit to anyone moving anywhere. Many thanks!

We moved from San Diego to Toronto, and Orbit was the company we dealt with in Canada (thay had been contracted by the American company we chose to carry our goods). In the days preceding the delivery, the communication with the company (in my case, Jared) was efficient and helpful. Our shipment was delivered 22 days after being picked up in SD, which isn't great, but isn't too bad either considering that the American company had promised 10-21 days. This is what cost them their fifth star... maybe I'm too harsh. The delivery itself was done quickly, transparently, professionally, and the movers kept smiling thoughout. They did their best to make us at ease and were very straightforward when they thought that some piece of furniture could or could not fit through the doors, or if non-reimbursable damage could occur to the shipment when trying to push it through the door. This isn't to say that they were trying to cover for their negligence: they did try their best to fit everything through the door without any damage, succeeded in the end. Finally, although the delivery happened in January, one day after a big snow storm, they did their best to keep our apartment as clean as possible. I was very happy with the service.

- Efficient - Professional - Frendly service I would like to share my experience with Orbit. Moving is always a Hassell especially in between countries. I had a great service, fair pricing, and my questions were always answered. Maybe a pointer would be, to better highlighted items that are forbidden to move abroad (e.g., fire pit). Most terrifying ride of my life. Dufferin County Road 109 eastbound. Come over a rise and a large moving van owned by these cowboys is directly in front of us...in our lane. They flash their lights and make no attempt to return to their lane. We were forced onto the shoulder by this jerk. I don't think any moving job is so time sensitive that others lives should be put in danger...and I can assure you there are safer choices than this firm.

Pretty good on the Toronto end, horrible on the Denmark end. The men who came to pick up my stuff were kind and professional. The administration end in Toronto was not well informed on the processes once my things were in the EU. Their information was not accurate and caused major miscommunication with the agency they partner with in Copenhagen. The Danish partner was a total nightmare. The person I had to deal with was unprofessional, rude, aggressive and had no respect for service delivery. My things were almost a month late, and then basically held hostage by their partner company who was using intimidation and manipulation to try and squeeze additional charges to me. They created problems where there actually wasn't any, and blamed me as opposed to taking responsibility for their lack of ability to do their job. Only after I informed them I was going to the Port Authorities and willing to take legal action did my stuff suddenly get delivered out of the blue. Literally couldn't get them to reply to an email in less than a week, and then I get a call with no notice that my items would be delivered in a half hour. I don't understand why Orbit works with these people. It completely ruined my experience with them and I cannot recommend them because of the incompetent and hostile partners they work with in Denmark. So if you have to move to Denmark, choose someone else.

I moved from Toronto to Chicago which would have been very stressful, but Orbit made it all so easy. They were recommended by a friend who had done a similar move. While I found less expensive options, but because of their door-to-door service, responsiveness from the onset, and past reviews, I chose to go with them and am so happy that I did. All of the steps were well explained and any questions were answered quickly, it set my mind at ease. They sent all of the paperwork I needed to fill out for customs, which also took away a lot of stress knowing they had done this many times. The Toronto movers packed all of my items so well. Their labelling process and manifest sheet made things organized and efficient during delivery. Their partner delivery company in Chicago also did a great job. And they even complimented the labelling as well. I would recommend them to anyone moving, especially anyone doing an international move.

Moving overseas for work and I had the worst experience while working with this company. There is no accountability in the management team, they are only interested in getting the money and made zero efforts to support the customer while struggling with the process. My belongings are being held by them, and they refuse to hand them over. Since they sent me a final invoice for twice the amount stipulated in the budget (budget made by a member of their team in person at my house before departure). When calling by phone the manager offers to give solutions, and after the only thing she does is to answer more emails with the same answers to keep going in circles. I got increased the original budget twice, without changing any items in my inventory. Its been 4 month of this nightmare. Members of their team had been extremely rude to me over written emails, I reported this to their manager, an no action was taken. There is no professionalism in this company! Do not put yourself in this situation!

Update: I truly appreciate Orbit's investigation and response. I accept all Susan (import/export manager) has explained and understand all that transpired. Thankfully this is not a common experience we have with other moves as a Building Manager and am certain not for their company as well based on the overall good star rating. Their follow up reflects their years of service and the proud and educated team they have at the head office. They have earned 3 stars rather than the 2 original given thanks to Susan, Eric and Alex. Original review: This moving company is getting a bad review for the following reasons. Unreliable time management (gives timeframe but realistically more than doubles time with no update), peeing in the trees within view of all the units of our apartment building (dark hair shaven tall man). Worst of all not following the protocol they set out and we agreed upon saying they will bring things up, remove the elevator then unpack. With covid-19 and the distancing rules in elevators, not using the elevator efficiently (and agreed upon!!!) causes issues. It looks like they unpacked as they brought up things so it held the elevator longer than they said. Not honouring a set plan is what infuriates me the most. I’m very understanding when it comes to unexpected things and delays but they seem to say one thing and not follow through. This happened allllll day with them. I don't care if plans change or things are delayed, just be honest and be open with your communication about it!

I originally hired Orbit movers to transfer most of my household items from Belleville Ontario to San Jose del Cabo Mexico. With COVID and all the extra layers needed to do that cancelled that plan . Because they were so helpful, and tried to find other solutions decided to have them professionally pack what turned out to be 29 boxes and have them transport them to FedEx in Toronto where there is a larger depot. Considering this happened at probably during the busiest 2 months for moving , managed to store things for me first and then worked on the myriad copies of paperwork FedEx required. I relocated overseas and used Orbit directly for part of my shipment which was significantly more fragile and part of a specialty type of move. While getting a quote did prove difficult (mostly getting to the right quote with the right info in it), once James Kelso became my one point on contact, things went smoothly. James is excellent at his job. He communicates effectively, efficiently and professionally. He remains friendly throughout the whole process and follows through regularly. Overall, in view of some initial difficulty, I would have rated this experience 4 starts (this is my 3rd trans-oceanic move, so I have a bit of experience from a customer perspective...), but James made this as stress-free an experience as possible. I would definitely recommend Orbit and I wish I had use them for my full move. They are not the cheapest by a significant amount, but perhaps it is worth it. I can speak for a specialty move only and they aced it.

The quote I was given based on my volume estimate was competitive and ended up being the actual amount I was charged, i.e. no haggling or last-minute adjustments. The delivey was very quick. My items were picked up in Toronto a couple of days after we agreed on the terms and arrived 6 weeks later in Frankfurt. Once again, no surcharges, taxes or additional fees. Our 100 cu feet of stuff arrived within the time frame they had promised and was delivered to us rapidly after arrival at the UK port of entry. We packed ourselves , and so expected some casualties, but everything was in excellent condition. We followed the movement of the ship across the Atlantic, and once it arrived at Halifax, we thought that our goods (household items, books, clothing, art) would sit in a container for weeks, if not longer. But within three days Orbit called us with the good news that the shipment is already in Toronto, ready to be delivered, we should just clear it with Canada Customs. They explained how to do that; it went very fast, with zero complications. In no time at all, our items were delivered to our home by a very capable, polite and efficient driver, who put everything to the different places that we wanted. Nothing was damaged, there were no problems at all. We were truly impressed.

Phenomenal experience from start to finish! This was my first time moving countries with storage. I had less than a week to move out from where I was staying. Tomy offered a free consultation pretty much on the same day I called him. I had called multiple other companies too for quotes and his quote was budget friendly while still retaining quality and amazing customer service. The sales quote he provided me was accurate. I even got 3 weeks storage for free and 5 boxes of fragile items that they packed which was included within the quote. All of my items arrived safely and except for a leg of an ottoman which was loose after the move. However that too was easily fixable. I had taken full coverage just in case but I never needed it or used it. I had used about 200 cubic feet storage capacity. Susan worked with me after the sales and through out the process until even a week after delivery. At the destination location, the move in people came in 30 mts ahead of time and completed the delivery within 1-2 hours. There were no hidden fees. All in all, I am extremely happy and would highly recommend Orbit International Moving to anyone. I would definitely use them again if I get an opportunity. Kudos for the amazing service.

Absolutely the worst movers we have ever experienced. They lost 3 boxes of our possessions, signed off that they had all arrived, and have taken no responsibility and now refuse to respond to emails. At best incompetent. At worst scammers. Avoid these guys at all costs. RE: Orbit Response - the 20m distance to the building door was explicitly stated in direct contact with both moving companies: Euro partner and Orbit. As you can see their response made no address of the lost items or leaving materials in the building foyer. Irresponsible company lead by irresponsible management. We did not commit directly with Orbit, they were the Canadian partner of our moving company from Holland (who showed quite good customer service). Our first connection with Orbit was for documentation for Canadian Customs. I provided all the documents they said we need for customs, which was a massive list and took a long time to gather. Customs needed 1, I repeat 1 of these documents - our stamped arrival form when we arrived in Montreal. Next we bugged Orbit time and again for updates on our shipment and got snippets and nothing concrete with finally "it should be in Toronto next week". At the end of that week we emailed them again for an update to be told "oh yeah, it just arrived in our storeroom...". Unbelievable. It gets worse. On the day of delivery the truck was able to park within 20m of the front door of our apartment building. I then received a call from Orbit management that we need to pay $200 or they will stop the delivery because apparently they count the distance inside our building to our apartment too, despite me stating directly in email that the truck can park with 20m of our apartment building door. The movers were actually friendly and the driver signed off on items at the back of the truck (not in our apartment - our big mistake). He said everything was there (checked off). We tipped them and they left. As we started unloading we realized one thing after another was missing. In total 3 boxes of toys (some hand-made family heirlooms), bike stuff, storage units, and other stuff all missing. That evening my wife went to the foyer of the building and discovered two large pieces of furniture left there that we moved up ourselves. Of course they refuse to take any responsibility and as I said, they won't even respond now. Because of the signed documents, we have big issues with insurance claims - sadly, this means don't trust people. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but it was a mistake here. Please, do yourself a favour, avoid this company.

This company was contracted by Moving Star to deliver my belongings from US. A big trunk with my winter blankets were lost and despite filing a missing item report, nothing was done. I was not compensated . They simply said that they were not able to trace it. Do not accept delivery in the evening as the delivery men are tired and you won't have enough time to verify if all your belongings were delivered.

We are moving from Toronto, Canada to the south of Germany. Orbit’s canadian crew was good. A lot of fun to work with and their packaging was second to none. I recommend to read the contract carefully and with a native speaker. Orbit’s / Navtrans’s offer does not include unwrapping of the goods in the cartons, the sentence about that in the contract can be misleading. This means that you are left with the time consuming effort to unpack and unwrap all the moving goods in the cartons and you also stick with the packaging debris as there is just not enough time to unpack while the crew is on site. IE Phillips moving includes this service and they quoted comparable to Orbit. Worth a try. The German partner of Orbit, Navtrans is a pain in the butt, and we booked them through Orbit. The crew on site was fun to work with and they did a awesome job. At the same time, we are still missing a complete pallet of moving goods, plus a piano and wine and Navtrans was refusing to deliver the missing goods in a separate shipment to the wine, which is still in customs. So now we are in the situation that next week we will start our new jobs, which is the date when we wanted to have the move finished. Navtrans nor Orbit listened to that deadline. BTW: The crew arrived at 12:30 hours on the first day of unloading, which is way to late to make it a smooth ride.

If you're moving internationally I would not recommend Orbit International. If you're moving across town, then they might be suitable. I paid for the insurance thankfully, because they broke multiple items. One of high value and the other not. Their system of packing does not offer a lot of protection as evident. I paid for full service. I went cheap and got what I paid for. Would not recommend them to a friend or family member. They use third parties at international destinations meaning more movement and more hands, not ideal.

We had goods delivered to Canada from UK. Up until Orbit's intervention we had experienced many difficulties so we were not expecting an easy delivery from Customs to our home. However we were very pleasantly surprised. All our dealings with Orbit from start to finish were professionally and courteously managed. The guys who delivered and unpacked were excellent, doing more than necessary to resettle us. Definitely a company to recommend. Thanks Orbit!

Not sure those are real testimonials because I have tried to phone Orbit for a couple of days and it always rings busy. Does this company really exist or do they disappear once you've paid ???
