n the summer of 2018 I met with Laurie Devlin an employee of Redpath Relocation. I had come to Redpath via my search for Williams moving who I had used in the past and had been very happy with... I contracted with Redpath to do an International move for myself in October 2018 based on information supplied by Ms.Devlin . She had told me that the owners of Redpath herself and the majority of Redpath employees were previous employees of Williams and Redpath was created following the shutting down of Williams. Ms.Devlin also assured me that Redpath did not contract out and all workers on my job would be employees of Redpath ... (LIE number one!!!!)
During the pack, there were issues between the Redpath employees and I had to ask Ms.Devlin to come to my home and sort it out. On the day of the load, two more individuals arrived and again tensions developed between workmen and it was at this time I discovered the two new "employees" did not work for Redpath and had been contracted out.
My move was insured by UNIRISC, they were the only option given to me by Redpath and turned out to be one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. Mover One International was another company and Gerson Relocation was the third.
When my goods arrived, I got a frantic call from Gerson to inform me that there was damage to my goods, items had been loaded into the container haphazardly and not wrapped. I was sent two hundred photographs which were also sent to Laurie Devlin from Redpath and at some point to Janet Moyer at Mover One International.
I immediately called Laurie Devlin, she was embarrassed and by this stage I believe had been coached and would there after not return my phone calls, admit any responsibility and at some point told me that she was leaving the company. Ms. Devlin claimed I knew this (LIE number 2!!!) And she also said I would be reimbursed for any out of pocket expenses (LIE number 3!!!)
I contacted WK Webster agents for UNIRISC and the nightmare continued! Go to UNIRISC to see my review and many others.....
Suffice to say, I have NEVER been reimbursed for any out of pocket expenses, I have NEVER received an apology from anyone.
Tim and Joshua Redpath basically ignore me, Janet Moyer was as helpful as she could be under the constrains placed upon her,.Tammy Sweetman from customer care at Mover One International wrote me an email filled with inaccuracies and even though I responded to her, she like the Redpaths doesn't seem to think she needs to communicate and has never responded.
The one bright star was Clive Begley of Gerson Relocation, without him and his warehouse crew, I would have no idea the extent of the damage nor would I have felt that at least someone cared.
As Clive Begley said on seeing my container, the move and pack was not good enough for a local move let alone an International one. Janet Moyer from Mover One said in all her years in the industry she had never seen such a badly packed and loaded container.
I cannot recommend this company EVER and I would suggest if you want a stress free move, you do not use them...
AN APOLOGY WOULD HAVE GONE A LONG WAY
