I received 5 recommended companies through your site and then upon reading the reviews on these recommended companies I found it very disconcerting to read negative review after negative review . Everything for underestimates that resulted in double and more charges on the end to lack of proper weigh bills for the goods being shipped. Damaged goods, late arrivals, poor customer service once the move was in progress left all of these customer's feeling that they had been duped. Normally I would expect a measure of negative reviews as you can't always please everybody but when the negative's outweigh the positives to such a degree the red flags tell me to steer clear. How can Moveit.ca continue to refer these customer's without either reading these reviews or at least try to remedy the poor service by making them accountable? I will not be using your website to choose a mover, I have 6 months until this move and I will endeavor to find someone honest. Please read the reviews on these companies you recommend and at the very least remove them and investigate both sides before adding them back to your list of recommended users.

Moveit.ca delivered on its promise to provide me with multiple companies to choose from. Some of the companies didn't have great reviews so I had to do a lot of research into the best one to choose. Our move is Aug 12-16 and I'm happy with the company we ended up picking. I think it would be a nice feature for Moveit.ca to have 'recommended' or 'preferred movers'. That would give me peace of mind.

Albeit a little naive. I went with moveit.ca to find a company that would help me with my move. i input my start location and my end location, phone and email. Hit enter. 32 seconds later.. My phone was ringing and dinging more then when the duct cleaner scam guys call. It then became clear to me what this was and moveit.ca just blasted my details out to no less then 9 companies who now are all cold-calling me. Needless to say this is not what i wanted. really not cool. (good prank to play on someone) I told all the callers that i was not happy with the way they got business and would find another company not on the list "recommended" by moveit.ca

Be prepared to have your phone ringing often, though some did email estimates very quickly, which was appreciated. Now, I went ahead and measured all of the furniture I wanted to move, and it came to less than 1000 lbs. I believe MoveIt's lightest option was 2400 lbs or so, which was a bit restrictive. I would also like to add that quoting by weight can be quite misleading, as you can have one piece of furniture weight a lot, but it would still be quicker to move it than 50 pieces of light yet larger items. Food for thought. Another note: only one of the movers who contacted me was registered with the CMA, so I have gone ahead and reached out to more movers on my own who were registered.

It was very easy when I reached out to Moveit, they were very responsive, it was almost immeadiate. After a couple of conversations with the company, they were eagar to do business and extremly accommodating to meet my needs. Pricing was certainly more than reasonable in comparison to all other quotes I had received. As of yet, we are still working on logistics, as such I cannot comment on their reliability nor actual delivery commitments respecting timing, product care, etc. If it is as good as my initial experience with Moveit then they will be as close to a five as I can possible give if five is the highest rating.

I noticed that lots of these reviews are about movers... ***Just to let you know (reader), Moveit is a lead generation system that provides online quote applications to different movers who would be the ones contacting/moving the applicant in question. They are NOT movers themselves. We (moving company) chose to get leads from Moveit because our standard lead provider generated very little leads due to the low demand during the winter months. They're lead generation system is really good! I booked a customer quite surprisingly quickly. Worth every dollar. They are also very flexible when it comes filters so you get targeted leads. It's not like other providers where your get lots of leads and about half of them are not targeted and fake. Small in quantity, but very high in quality, I say! They will personalize your filters and will give the customer/applicant a head's up that you will be contacting them! I've never gotten such hot leads before! Return/Credit system is also simple and efficient. No need to go on a website, simply reply to the lead! All in all, you get leads curated for your business so I believe anyone should go ahead and give it a good shake before judging anything. Greatly appreciate Steve's professionalism and courtesy. The team worked very hard to help us out!

Chris and DaVone were at their best. Arrvived for pickup on time. Delay in drop-off was due to the other reasons which were out of their control. Even after 9000lbs drop off the were quick and did not damage even one single product. I saw how they tied my stuff and ensured nothing was damaged during the tirp from YEG to YYC. My load was under 1000lb, I was surprised how fast they managed to load/unload the truck. I would definitely recommend moveit.ca and Burly boyz.

The only issue I have is that all these moving companies are emailing me to get a yes or no answer on their quote, however I was only interested in the quote so that I have a rough idea of how much it would cost. Requesting a quote should not imply that my plans to relocate have been finalized. I would recommend that a rough *approximate* quote should be displayed by Moveit.ca based on historical data, and then if and when my plans are finalized and I decide that I would still like to hire a moving company, it is at that time only that I should be put in contact with them for "bidding".

They didn’t arrive until 1030 pm. They had promised me there would be 3 movers and there were only 2. One of the movers was so slow, he carried one box at a time. It ended up costing me nearly double the quoted price because it took them so painfully long. Also one of my patio tables was broken. Brent promised to fix it but never did. I shouldn’t have agreed to pay until it was fixed and I should have said I wasn’t paying more than the amount he quoted me. Very expensive move. Not at all happy with the service. I wouldn’t recommend them. One of my bin lids was also broken.

There is absolutely no way that 3 men could pack up a 4-bedroom house, with many dinner services, glasses, lotsof kitchenware, many ornaments and all the furniture, transport it and unpack it at the destination in 5 hours. The moveit.ca website includes an option for requesting a 'specialty move', illustrated with a piano. Since I would like to retrieve a 15 foot canoe (weight 50 lbs) from our old place, I stipulated this in the request form, emphasizing that we were in no hurry. Since any time in the next year would suffice, we were hoping that this could piggy-back on a larger load. I was there more than a little DISAPPOINTED to receive 3 quotes for moving 1000 lbs of apartment goods. When I inquired as to the misunderstanding, the. moving companies told me they weren't interested in "specialty moves" and we would have to pay the full cost of moving an apartment. While I understand that this might be their policy, I can't help but wonder why they were asked to submit a quote for what was clearly a 'specialty move'. And why they would waste my time when I had made it very clear what our quote involved. Either moveit.ca doesn't do much screening before dispatching quotes or movers (Canadian Moving Systems, Atlantic Vanlines or Canadian National Vanlines) are being dishonest about their services. Either way, I'm not very tempted to use these services again.

Had only two weeks to secure resources to move from Ontario to Nova Scotia. I looked at all the rental options to move myself which was the same cost before adding in Gas as well as extra KM's. I had the house packed and ready, had two gentlemen come in and pick everything up. They were quick and handled things with care, had the truck packed in a few hours. They wrapped my large furniture with provided protective furniture blankets prior to loading. The only issue I would have is that there is a large window and a non specific date for when my things will arrive.

Well, we move often and every time it’s been such a hassle to find, investigate and coordinate a reputable mover. It’s a job you ‘have’ to do, and it can make a move a good thing or it can be a huge disappointment. I reluctantly started yesterday starting my ‘search’ when I happened on the Move It site. I looked at it briefly, then moved on thinking, “There’s no way it could be this easy.” After another ten minutes of trying to find a mover zi was comfortable with, I went back to Move It, watched the video, read ‘all’ the testimonials and realized the only thing I had to lose was frustration, so signed up. I haven’t received quotes yet, since I sent the request in the evening, but I’ll let you know how it goes.

Too many things left behind including the snow blower which I stated was a must. I had to hire another mover to get the rest of my stuff after the snow storm so I had to dig my way out with a shovel. Drawers taken out of dresser and not put back in once on the truck. It was placed on its side and the the drawers where just stacked on top of other stuff carelessly. Stuff got dirty and a lot of furniture was broken. Poor communication. Not following directives and not looking at labeled boxes so boxes put in the wrong place so I had to move them again. i gave 2 stars because the guys were nice and they didn't charge me overtime or for travel time.

BEWARE!!! I requested a quote from Moveit.ca. They have 6 companies listed as movers they deal with. All with great reviews for the most part and names I recognized. I received quotes from 17 companies. I chose access moving Canada as the sales rep was on the ball and they price matched competitors. They were quick and easy to deal with. My stuff was supposed to arrive October 26th and I have heard nothing from these people. I have tried to call and email since October 20th to make sure we were home when the anticipates delivery was to be made. It is 8 days later and zero communication. Upon further review, Access moving Canada is NOT somebody Moveit.ca deals with. Neither are the other 10+ companies that have my information after I applied to get quotes through Moveit.ca. They are obviously selling people’s information and your info is NOT safe with these people. Do you research. Dig deep before you hire someone to move your belongings. We are a family of 5 with NOTHING. Everything we have accumulated over the past 18 years is gone.

I think the concept of this is great, which is why I tried it. I think the problems exists mostly for cities just under a million people, or less . I do not live in Toronto, Montreal or Vancouver. I live in winnipeg, manitoba. So just under a million including suburbs. I used this and tried another similar to this. Was told 5 quotes each. One, I got zero quotes, the other, I got 1 quote. I dont know which one was which, but I did not get anywhere near 5 quotes. Actually a total waste of time, as I then had to call multiple companies for quotes. So company is a good concept, but they shouldn't offer services in markets where they can't provide at least 2 quotes. Or let people know up front. Its not like there is not moving companies here.
