Mark and Kevin were extremely fast and careful with my move. They completed a huge move in half the time I’d expected. They helped us move out of a 2.5 bdrm 3rd floor walk-up and into a house with stairs. They are very thorough with wrapping the furniture and will provide you with boxes or tape if you have forgotten to pack anything. Very nice guys and we had no issues. Thank you Getmovers!

Moving is expensive and stressful. After vetting several companies we decided on Get Movers Toronto. Setting up the move was a bit outdated: lots of verbal communication and not a clear set of protocols. They were, however, accommodating and very responsive to requests and questions. The move itself went smoothly. Juan, Alex and Phirmino were all extremely professional and courteous. They answered questions, always double checked items, and worked really, really hard. We ended up paying for 9 hours + a tip, and it was 100% worth the cost. Thanks again.

The movers took a 3hr break on my dime, ruined my $1000 TV. Left heavy furniture at my front door because they were not skilled enough to disesemble. Did not move all items. Tracked dirt everywhere. They charged my card automatically as well for 7.5 hrs which was actually a 4hr job. To be super clear I moved from a one bedroom to a place 1.3km away. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!

We were extending our sewing workshop and rent a new room close to Toronto. Transporting large looms and material was a complicated task, but GetMover found the solution. The crew manager organized the properties to carry them through the door, and well-trained movers did it with no issues. Surely, you get insurance for all of your load, but we didn’t want any accidents. Luckily, the process went smoothly. We’ve finished our business moving on 4 hours, with no delays. This may be one of the worst moving experiences that I have ever had. They went to the delivery address instead of the pickup address. They had the pickup address somewhere in the United States. The truck they bought wouldn't hold the contents of our 2 bedroom condo so they had to make two trips which cost us dearly. When we moved in it took 7 hours for the movers in and out, this one took 11 hours not including the time it took to find our address. This company is a joke. If they had less than one star I would have picked that.

We hired GetMovers to complete our move from Ottawa to Winnipeg in July, 2021. Though the rate per pound is significantly higher than other movers the company representative convinced us that it’s worth it because "there will be no surprises." Well, it was quite the opposite at every step – really a move from hell. GetMovers quietly subcontracted the move to Ontario Van Lines of which we found out on the day of the move. Ontario Van Lines badly mismanaged our move, damaged our belongings. We were charged $10,209 for moving minimal belongings fitting a small townhouse (no pianos, appliances or anything unusually heavy). In addition to per-pound charges, we were also charged $450 shuttle fee twice. The movers showed up 3 hours late and rushed through the move, broke a few things in the house. In Winnipeg, we found out about delivery 30 min before the movers arrived, while being out of town. We were threatened that if we don’t take delivery right away, our stuff would be placed in storage, and we would be charged fees. The company rep was incredibly rude and condescending. We had to rush to accept the delivery at 8:30PM and finished at 10:30PM. The movers were wearing flip flops and didn’t wear masks during the process. Multiple items including expensive bikes were badly damaged. We filed a complaint with GetMovers and, after a month for stonewalling, still waiting for a solution.

For my relocation from Nort-York to Downtown, I had been searching for a professional moving company. But the ones that I had contacted, I was not quite convinced with either their services or rates. Finally, I found Get Movers who were provided me with reliable packing and moving services within my budget. From packing the boxes to assembling the bed and washing machine at my new place, they worked diligently and took great care of my goods and everything arrived in perfect condition. I tried to move to Kingston from Burlington. My first attempt was fine, movers were good, and price was OK. My building delayed my occupancy so I asked a mover to reschedule me to next week, and after some time he said he'd done it. Next week came and the movers never showed up. I called and it seems they never scheduled me at all. Eventually I was told their boss would call me about it -- never even called me back, and I've never gotten another message since, weeks later. I ended up getting Touchwood movers to move me last minute.

I have had a horrible experience with Get Movers. They smashed and broke thousands of dollars worth of my furniture, scratched my brand new hardwood floor, chipped my fresh paint, we negotiated an additional fee for moving a heavy item (they doubled that rate when I was checking out, despite their own employees saying the fee was supposed to be lower), they were hours late, and INCREDIBLY expensive. Dealing with their customer service department to put through an insurance claim has been worse than being screamed at by the mover in my own home. They are unresponsive and incredibly unhelpful. If I wanted brute force movers, I would have rented a truck and hired my friends. I could not be more disappointed in Get Movers. Steer clear.

Had to leave appartment in a rush half packed. When first moving company canceled on us due to miss communication. Called get movers who were more up front of additional charges being very clear that I needed full service of packing, moving and junk removal for a move to another province. They subcontracted to an other company that demanded extra for the packing. Did not perform the junk removal (which only entailed putting 5 pieces of furniture into the apartment buildings furniture pile beside the loading dock). Worst of all they left everything in 1 and a half of the rooms and more. The 6-8 boxes that they packed looks like they were packed with a shovel and they charged for 9 hours of packing. Things left: a bedframe An office chair A few pots and pans + hard to get dietary non perishable items. A bariatric shower chair + free standing racks in the bathroom. And all the drapery. Can't find the hardware to reassemble some of the furniture that did make it.

Amazing service from the very start. We hired two trucks and 4 strong guys who worked consistently all day. The service provided by this company was nothing short of exceptional. They did not rush especially when it came to heavy objects going through doors to avoid any damage to the walls. The move was not particular easy and they took on the challenge with no issues. They kept delaying their timings by several hours, when we were able to get hold of them. When speaking with head mover, they were rude and kept wasting our time. The worst company ever. I am not sure why they are still present. They spent the whole day moving furniture between two buildings 5 min apart. They left 3 furniture pieces broken. I had to book the elevator in each building more than 3 hours. Although, I was updating their manager all the time, he did nothing. They asked us to help them and if we did not, they would never finish. Such scammers, no manners and no respect. This company should be punished and closed forever.

We asked for a mattress protector (confirmed), we didn't get one. Our mattress cover ended up being damaged and dirty; we needed to throw it out and now we need to buy a new one. They damaged our table and didn't tell us; we've been trying to call them over & over for some money back due to the damaged items but never heard back. It's really frustrating. The movers themselves were nice but constantly let their masks slide off their noses, rendering the masks useless.

I hired this company to move between two houses five minutes apart and they did a horrible job. They didn't wrap the furniture properly so ended up with mud on the whole side of the spring box and on the bedroom white carpet. The worst part is that they damaged our driveway with a huge oil stain which was leaking from their truck and even after we got a professional cleaning company they couldn't remove it. Now our driveway has an ugly huge oil stain and the only way to remove it is by changing the whole interlock in the driveway. Their customer service is a joke and there is no way you can reach them. So my advice is to stay away from them.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS MOVING COMPANY. They said they would get to my friend's house at 10 am, but nobody called her or showed up. She ended up calling them herself after waiting for 1 hour, and for the next few hours they kept giving her false arrival times and did not show up. After I waited for 3 hours they decided to cancel my move. She now has nowhere to stay because her lease is up, and she has all of her belongings packed into boxes. What am is she supposed to do? They have made her life very stressful. If you are looking for a company that will take responsibility for their problems, decrease your stress, and do the bare minimum of helping you move, THIS COMPANY IS NOT FOR YOU. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

As others have posted my long distance move was subcontracted out to Ontario Van Lines, this is after I specifically asked if they do the work themselves (they assured me they did). When my things arrived I was charged $1200 in ferry fees to bring a full size 74' truck over to Victoria, as well as $450 in shuttle fees. This is to move a load that would fit in the back of a pick up truck. I was skeptical they actually brought a full size truck over on the ferry, so I asked for ferry receipts. Despite telling me many times they would produce them this never happened, and my things were delivered almost two months ago. There was also some minor damage to my items. The contact I had at Get Movers has not been helpful at all in resolving this, and the person at Ontario Van Lines just keeps telling me to wait for the receipts. Edit: Response from owner below does not seem to be legitimate. That is not an active phone number. Yet another sign this company is fraudulent. Stay away.

Bumped into things damaged walls in 2 places (new house). Grease on mattress and wall. Asked them to slow down and he proceeded to tell me he has been doing this for 2 years and knew what he was doing. Communication was difficult.

I paid 550 for movers from Toronto to hamilton they were an hour late and were very careless with Mt furniture everything got banged and chipped up and my 43 I I was smashed and broken they were not being gentle or careful at all they were very nice people but they did a very poor service i would not recommend this company!

DO NOT USE THEM!!!!! Not only did the movers show up 3 hours late but with only 1 individual. Make matters worse it was not even GetMovers but Cosmo Movers. An entirely different company that what I had arranged. The mover also indicated that the reason for the lateness is the manager was moving and prioritized his move. Completely unacceptable behaviour for customer service.

DO NOT USE THEM! They damaged my car when they were putting furniture inside their truck. One of the movers Corey told me he would look after it.. He gave his cell number but he is not answering. Not sure if that is his name or number. My sister-in-law also told the owner about the damage after it happened and sent a picture of the damage. No one is contacting us. They also sent a truck that was too small for a 4 bedroom home and then tried to hold the furniture hostage. The police were called.

I sought their services for a recent move. We were booked for 4 pm, which we were told on the day of the move would be delayed till 6 pm. At 6 pm there was no sign of any movers. There were no updates by their customer representative. No response even after calling, we were left in the dark on when they will finally arrive. Finally they arrived at 9 pm, 5 hours late! Nothing compared to what is portrayed in their website. Most unprofessional and worst service possible. They do not value their customers. I will never suggest anyone use their services ever. Not recommended.

I’ve sold my old pool table and needed someone to deliver it. You know, both of us live in Toronto and there is no need to use post services. However, I required a mean of transport and packing services. GetMovers brought necessary packing supplies and offered me a truck. It was quick and easy, with no hidden fees or other troubles.

Stay away from this company. Number of reasons: They arrived late. The truck was too small for the amount of furniture we had so they had to make 2 trips even though they called and asked the day before regarding how many boxes/furniture we have. The job started at 10:30 am finished at 3 am. We asked if they could finish the next day but they stated their truck wasnt available so everything was to be completed the same day no matter what time. At the end they were just dumping the boxes in the garage so they could finish faster. The picture shows the way our boxes were dumped in the garage .They promised to install the TV and mirrors which was mentioned as part of the service for extra charge and that did not happen. Lots of dents and scratches on the furniture. 3000 dollars for a 3 bedroom house. Would not recommend. This is the best part: they helped themselves to the food in the fridge unbeknownst to us leaving their waste everywhere.

I had a terrible experience hiring these guys for the movement of my home stuff. the guy who got came for the shifting my stuff was very rude and rough his name was Ahmed and his boss was even much worse & his name was Anar.even I complain to Dominic & Richard in the customer service but they have no control on these guys please if you really want to have dents on your walls and furniture then only hire them. They will come with their dirty shoes in your house. They will charge u an hour extra & they did the same with me.

They showed up over 24hrs late and over charged us by over $600 (or else they would not deliver) - I am fighting the charge but it looks like they were doing the same thing to the people after us, we could hear them freaking out on the phone. They show up late once you're super stressed and then say well now you have to pay for an extra guy or else they won't have time to do it. 100% fraud.

If you are looking for money grabbers that will get you to sign a damage waiver before they damage your furniture and valuables then this is the company for you! Their sub-contractors sit on their cell phones and stand around and let the customer move their own stuff.... taking their sweet time when they do move something so that they can bill you more hours for playing on their cell phones and being rude to their customers. Definitely NOT recommended unless you want to pay a fortune for a move to do it yourself and get your belongings damaged.

Lol wow where do I start? 20 yrs old something subcontractors (yes - subcontractors, this company is a scam) showed up 1.5 hours late, missed two elevtor bookings... So I had to pay extra for the elevators. Then: 1. Dissappeared for two breaks, literally MIA- 1.5 hour in total without communication (while I'm paying for it, yes? lol). The entire work was for 7 hours (including their ridiculous breaks)... Probably a 4 hours job max with 3 people team (I even disassemble and shrink wrapped most of the furniture for them lol) 2. Left things behind - I will have to rent another truck to move the rest & pay extra. 3. Arrived with no tools, I literally gave them dollies lol 4. Broke two pieces of expensive furniture. 5. Supervisor showed up high to work. 6. Left the truck unattended, so I received a call from a neighbor downstairs that homeless ppl are trying to steal stuff from their truck (lucky me). 7. Worked really extremely slow (3 ppl). I had to jump in and literally did 50% of it. Yes I loaded stuff to their truck ????????‍♂️ 8. Gave me attitude at the end, although I was respectful to them the entire time (I wasn't trying to fix them, just positive reinforcement to get the maximum out of that tricky situation). Whoever is reading this review - STAY AWAY!!! GO WITH A DIFFERENT COMPANY. (Their positive reviews are probably fake... I'm sure there are plenty of other good alternatives out there)

They were very professional from the first phone call to the drp off location. Special thank for helping us with the furniture assembling. At first they seemed like a great company on the phone, and professional. When they got to our house super nice guys. That's all the good things I can say about them. They were an hour late. Didn't start moving until closer to 11:30 but charged me starting at 11:00. I have furniture that is damaged. They full on BROKE our banister at our old house. I have called them about the banister when I started explaining what happened our call "disconnected", I called them back and surprise! going straight to voice mail. I guess lawyers are going to have to get involved. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAM OF A COMPANY! NOT 5 STAR!!!!

Yesterday's experience is definitely a good one. Super communicative and all of the guys were just fantastic. Nothing was broken or damaged. Moving is stressful but GM Toronto makes the actual move the least stressful part. I recommend with zero hesitation and will use them again for any moving needs I have in the future!

HORRIBLE SERVICE! I am extremely disappointed. We booked an appointment two weeks before our moving date. Movers were supposed to show up @ 9 but THEY SHOWED UP AT 2:30!!! They were 5.5 hours late. During the move, they were idling. I caught them TWICE. I did not say anything as I was alone and I was just waiting for it to be done. They were extremely rude to my friend who were helping them cuz it took them 8 hours to move my stuff from a tiny 2 bedroom apartment. I did not even get an apology for their lateness. They kept delaying the time even on the phone. Extremely unprofessional and PRICEY! They ruined my furniture and they also refused to take one of my cupboards upstairs cuz it was "too heavy". I will never recommend this company. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

Bottom line - I would not recommend this moving company to anyone I like. It would be wasting their money and time. The positives: 1. The movers were friendly 2. They showed up on time 3. The manager was nice (more on that below) The negatives: 1. They are sloooooow. Like I mean really slow. I’ve moved many times, with the same stuff (I have a one bedroom apartment), from more complicated locations, and no matter who it’s with it’s never taken more than 3 hours. Excluding breaks, the 30 mins between locations, and 40 mins the elevator broke, it took 6.5 hours. But with all that together, I payed for 8 hours of work. For a pretty standard one bedroom apartment that’s an absolute sloth pace for moving. 2. They were not overly careful with my things. I will give them credit for being very cautious and professional with my large fragile items (TVs, mirror, tanks, etc), but anything in boxes was treated the same, even if clearly labelled “fragile”. So far a couple bowls have been found broken, and am assuming I will find more as I unpack. 3. They did not seem to be truly professional movers. My mother and I had to give them tips on how to manoeuvre items through doorways, we had a large compromised box and I had to suggest putting it on a dolly, they were carrying one couch cushion at a time, as examples. Overall they didn’t seem to have a ton of professional expertise. 4. At the end of the day when it came to the bill, I was slapped with one for $1108.50 (though, I was quoted for $436-$545 + tax). I asked if there was a way we could work out a $100 discount (for an hours work) because the movers were slow, and it took much longer than I was quoted (I gave an extensive list of my items ahead of time so that nothing should have been a surprise and the quote accurate), and was yelled at on the phone with the movers’ supervisor saying it was impossible to get $100 off. I was berated to the point that I was literally in tears. I finally broke down and agreed to pay the full price but would only do it via etransfer because I was no longer trusting of the company to authorize a $1100 credit card payment over the phone. They agreed, and I made the payment and asked the movers to please leave. However, the movers were told to not leave my house until they got the money (though I showed them confirmation of my etransfer of the full amount). As a single woman, asking two men to leave her house and being told no, is absolutely terrifying and belittling. It took me yelling and crying to get them to leave, I had payed them the money so they no longer had reason to be there. Overall, it was super traumatizing. A little while later I got a call from the manager of the company (who was friendly) and I was told it’s not big deal to give me the $100 off. So, yes, that was nice and appreciated, but also if it “wasn’t a big deal” why did I have to go through the drama ahead of time? It definitely doesn’t reflect well on their customer service. I also still payed $1000 for a service I thought would be at most $600. 5. We ended up having to do a lot of work ourselves. Throughout the day just to speed things up we hauled around a lot of boxes and furniture which kinda defeats the purpose of hiring movers. 6. The masking was not effective. Both were wearing 1-ply masks and their noses were out most of the day, sometimes faces out completely. I get it, it’s not comfortable doing strenuous things in masks, but that’s the pandemic life we have to live, and it was very disappointing especially because I specifically asked about masking compliance before choosing this company. So, my advice - pay the little bit more for better movers or just do it yourself - you could probably do it faster anyway

A fantastic horrible moving nightmare. DO NOT BELIEVE THE FAKE REVIEWS. Arrived late, no equipmemt, and had the slowest and most unprofessional movers in the city. I am now stuck with thousands of dollars in damages. A broken table, scratched floors and walls.Getmovers? Get real. Avoid this company.
