Moved with Cargo Cabbie from a condo to a house. Their quote came in on the higher side of the ones I got, but their responses were quick, professional and they already had pretty good reviews so I decided to go with them. The crew of 5 arrived on time and were all in very good shape. I had some pretty heavy furniture (stuff made of solid wood) and they handled it with relative ease. They were surprisingly courteous, well mannered, worked at a good pace and accommodated each of my requests (moving stuff to certain areas, helping with other things etc). Overall they were well worth the slightly higher price. I would definitely recommend them and use them in the future.

I found Cargo Cabbie through a Google search and they had great reviews, so I gave them a try. John and his crew showed up on time with two trucks (didn't need 2 but their preparedness was appreciated!), all the tools and supplies needed and were all really friendly, helpful and extremely professional. They handled all my belongings with extreme care - even the cheap ikea furniture - wrapping everything in blankets and carefully placing the items on the truck. They even helped disassemble an old large desk, that holds a lot of sentimental value, with skill and care, and reassembled it at the new location. The crew worked very quickly and made the move extremely easy for me! I've experienced horror story moves in the past and was a little skeptical when I read the great reviews, but I must say from personal experience, it's all 100% true. I couldn't be more happy and impressed by Cargo Cabbie and the wonderful experience their team provides. Cargo Cabbie might be a little more expensive than other companies but they are worth it! Cargo Cabbie guys were packing up a house across the street yesterday. We had a gas range delivered that was over 400libs. The delivery guys tried and tried but we were stumped. When they had a minute, the Cargo cabbie gentlemen came over with a large dolly and helped us get the stove in the house. Having seen these guys in action, I will say they are friendly, clean, courteous and organized. They took care in what they were doing, and they helped me out when they didn't need to. Our office move went as smooth as I possibly could have imagined. The crew showed up on time, led by Team Leader Johnathan. This team didn't miss a beat. We ran into some tight quarters with a couple pieces of extra large items, but thanks to Johnathan and Kyle's ingenuity, and sheer strength, they figured out a way, and with zero damage! Our desk furniture/workstations are also pretty problematic, and definitely tested everyone's patience but yet again, the teams determination and grit got everything in place. This is my first time using movers and I've moved dozens of times before. I've been worried about dealing with people who I wasn't sure I'd trust to protect my things, and about unexpected expenses cropping up at the end of the move since I saw these things happen to people I knew. My Cargo Cabbies experience was more like dealing with a hotel than a company with trucks and people to lift your boxes (the typical moving company stereotype). The service level was outstanding from the initial estimate/walkthrough, to the contacts and reminders from the office throughout the process, and especially to the helpful, friendly and tireless movers that protected, moved and even reassembled my belongings when we got to the new place. I would absolutely recommend this company for any type of move you have. They've really thought it out and know what they're doing.

We recently moved from a downtown Toronto to mid-town and decided to give Cargo Cabbie a try. We loved the idea of using plastic moving bins and the drop-off was quite easy (although they did re-schedule as they were running ahead of schedule so I left work early to go home and meet them). Our move is now complete and they were supposed to come last Friday to pick up the bins. It's now Wednesday and the bins are still in our living room. They did not call on Friday until very close to the pick up time to tell us they were running late (1.5 hours). We rescheduled for Saturday. Then on Saturday, they were ahead of schedule and wanted to come 2 hours early which we could not accommodate as we were out running errands. Rescheduled again for Monday which they then cancelled and here we are on Wednesday. They are supposed to come tonight but I'm not holding my breath. I find it very unprofessional that they do not communicate with their clients a realistic timeline for pick up (and stick to it) and seems to think their time is more important than anyone else's. The idea behind the company is great but unfortunately I would not recommend them to anyone due to their poor customer service.

A terrifically satisfying moving experience. And my third time out with Cargo Cabbie. It was an in-house move: furniture disassembled and moved up and down stairs to be reassembled. Not many movers in Toronto offer this service but it is truly needed and it's appreciated that Cargo Cabbie is one of the very few that do it. The team was prompt, very friendly, cautious, respectful and, simply put, pleasant, hard-working people. Job was done in less than scheduled hours, so they were fast. Sept. 4th - Unfortunately I am changing my review. Cargo Cabbie broke a Travertine table top. A piece passed down from generations. We were assured by the Supervisor John it would be replaced after speaking with the owner Havier the day of the move. To this day I have left 4 messages with no response and once spoke with Kat and she reassured me she would get back to me. Still waiting!!! To date nothing has been done even when it was covered under insurance. No call back, no check to replace it. They were a bit pricey but well worth it for a risk free move. The guys don't start work until 9am but they accommodated to my schedule to start at 8:30am and even arrived earlier so that my elevator booking started right at 8:30am. Impressive! I did save some money by packing my own things beforehand and also keeping my mattress bag and TV box as well so that I didn't need theirs. They helped me pack everything else that I couldn't do such as the dresser and chairs. Overall it was a very smooth move that went as predicted by the lady I spoke to on the phone. Oh, and the movers took the liberty to take photos of the elevator because he spotted some old visible scratches in case the concierge may try to take away my deposit which was very thoughtful of him! 10/10 well deserved!

I needed help moving a rather awkward item downtown Toronto. Cargo cabbie sent 2 guys who were great! They moved my item with ease and were so nice. Very quick, too! Movers I've had in the past always complain to me about parking, traffic, etc (it's downtown, it's expected), but these guys didn't complain ONCE! I recommend Cargo Cabbie.

(This review is for their moving products and not their moving services) I purchased two large cardboard moving boxes earlier this year from Cargo Cabbie. They were expensive at $6.50 each (Feb 2018). The boxes are designed for maximum load of 65 lbs (printed on the side). When moving the first box by pushing it across the floor it split open along the corner. Same thing happened to the second one when I lifted it and put it on top of another box. Both boxes were less than 50 lbs. Had to run to Home Depot and get replacements last minute. The new boxes had no quality issues and were only $3.50 each. Poor quality products that could have burst while in transit.

I've never hired movers before so wasn't sure what to expect, but Cargo Cabbie was above and beyond! They showed up exactly on time to my first apartment and carefully wrapped all my furniture and dismantled my bed. They were courteous, careful, and efficient. They took a short lunch and then it was time to unload at my condo. Again, they took such careful care of my things and checked in to make sure the furniture went exactly where I needed it. They even helped me bring things down to my storage locker. Plus, they finished the job early and I ended up paying less than the quoted amount. My sister found the company online by checking their reviews & suggested them to me. I called them to get a quote & their response was very prompt & they were very amiable. I want to thank Leticia for her excellent customer service (calling to confirm with me & checking how everything went within an hour of the move ending) but also especially Cameron & Julio (1st day movers) as well as John & Ryan (2nd day movers) who were all professional, amiable & hardworking. Each team spent ~1h15 mins to finish their task at my place then drive back. The quote time would include the time they leave storage up until they finish their job. Again, I want to thank Cargo Cabbie for an excellent staff, customer service & a smooth job completion. Usually moving-in/out isn’t a pleasurable experience & could be very stressful, but they made it so smooth, I didn’t notice how fast & easy it went! Price wise it might seem expensive, but after seeing the service I’d say it’s worth every penny! High value, highly recommended if you want to move-in/out or if you just need storage for furniture. I cannot say enough about the crew from Cargo Cabbie led by Ryan who moved all of our possessions from one house to another. They were professional from start to finish and the entire crew worked hard without a single complaint. You could tell that these 6 guys liked and respected each other and had smiles on their faces the entire day. They responded to every need and did not blink an eye when they needed to take apart furniture that would not get through a narrow stairway. They evaluated the potential challenges in a walkthrough and set about making the entire move a quick process. They came prepared with everything from blankets, tape and wrap to floor runners and dollies. Finally, the price we were quoted was expensive, but this team was so efficient and they did not use all of the supplies that were quoted to us and when we received our final bill it was less than the original quote because the move took less time and used less equipment. I will use them again. No questions asked.

I needed someone to move a single super heavy item from Mississauga to Toronto. Right from the start, Stephanie at the office was AH-MA-ZING. So super sweet and so super helpful. I always get a little nervous when using a new mover, but felt totally confident that I didn't have to worry about a thing. I scheduled the move for a 2pm pick up and they arrived EXACTLY on the dot. I wasn't at the pick up location, but I know they took care in loading up my furniture as it was wrapped (on top of the manufacturers wrapping) when it arrived. The delivery date was rainy and wet and the movers were so thoughtful that they brought boot covers to keep my house clean! They took great care in bringing the item in and were super friendly. My 7 month pregnant wife and I recently moved into a condo in Etobicoke, and the new couch we'd ordered would not fit into our building's elevator (we're on the 11th floor). I find this highly disturbing and creepy. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Email service for quotes is very prompt, professional. However, their prices are not competitive at all for single furniture delivery. The item is a lightly used recliner, 40 x 34 x 34 off marketplace for $55. Pick up location and delivery location is a 10-12 minute drive, 15km total distance. Elevator accessible, no stairs. No frills, nice n simple. Wasn't expecting this to cost much. Sent a quote and received a very fast response. Their rates are $290 for every hour... One hour minimum. This sounds like a rate for a regular move, with multiple boxes, furniture etc. How is this competitive for one single piece of furniture? Quote is over 4 times the cost of another company. The response I recieved was that they're a "professional and full service moving company." So are other competitors not professional? I'm confused by the response... Cargo Cabbie proclaims themselves as the best furniture movers in Toronto. Based on their prices, I disagree. Wouldn't recommend for small moves, they have a poor business model for this. You're best to shop around.

The office rep we talked to was very accommodating and knew exactly what was needed and quoted us a fair figure for moving furniture from a POD into our home. The young fellows who were sent from CARGOCABBIE arrived promptly at 8:30 am as requested. They brought with them blue floor mats and carpets to cover our own carpet and a trolley to help with the load.The two young men, well-educated and very polite, emptied the POD for us in exactly the time frame allotted. I moved a one-bedroom apartment twice in 6 months, and I went with Cargo Cabbie for their online reputation. For me, they were expensive, but I definitely feel I got what I paid for. The first team was really good, and the second team was even better. Thanks, guys! If you want a worry-free move, Cargo Cabbie will deliver. I hope the movers get paid well as they are the heart, soul and bones of the whole operation. My one request would be for more clarity on what time is on the clock, and what time is off the clock, e.g. if the movers take a longer than usual lunch break. I think it would be great for the movers to write start and stop times on the form together with the client, rather than keeping track independent of the client.

The five gentlemen were incredibly courteous and professional. They took great care in protecting some of the furniture we wanted placed in storage. We also moved out a large number of boxes. When you calculate everything the price comes in on the high side, but they go through everything very meticulously and apply packing materials/wrap to chairs etc. as required. If your stuff isn't very nice it may seem over the top. Definitely not a low-end service.But again, the professionalism and courtesy from everybody here are pretty much uncomparable. Excellent service! I had some furniture moved from the second floor of my home to the basement. The movers were extremely helpful and professional. I was also provided with update calls as to when they would arrive at my home. With the low ceiling height in the basement it was a very difficult job. I just moved on Monday Oct. 22 and when I was looking around for a mover a very good friend of mine told me that a good friend of hers had used Cargo Cabbie and felt that they were excellent. They are more expensive than some of the other movers that I had gotten quotes from but as the old adage says, 'You get what you pay for'. I had to change a few things after the original booking but the office handled all my changes smoothly and always followed up with me - especially a couple of days before the actual move just to make sure that they had all the information correctly. My 2 movers John and Jack were stellar. They worked tirelessly and made sure that everything was wrapped well and brought without any damage to my new place. They unwrapped furniture and put back any drawers or shelving that had been taken out initially to make carting these pieces more manageable. They even took a number of packed boxes down to my locker for me. They were great! I would definitely use Cargo Cabbie again if (God Forbid!) I had to move again. I most definitely would HIGHLY recommend them to friends and family.

I spent an entire morning trying to call them , fanilly when the girl answered I explained to her that my place was flooded and I needed to move my bed and couch to storage so it doesn’t get damaged. She said that it would be no problem and not to worry . She said they have crew finishing up soon and they would come once they done. She was suppose to call me back in 15 because she needed to confirm with her manager. 3 HOURS LATER I’m still stuck in my apartment waiting for her call . I had a very bad experience with this company. The website is great and gives impression that they do almost anything related to moving, yet in reality almost nothing is practically possible. All I wanted to do is to move 2 items for my elderly uncle between building a block away from each other. Also I have inquired about Canadian Tire small patio table assembly as advertised on the web. The person on the phone was great and reassured me that it all was possible and gave me a couple of dates. It looked great. I said we have to call back with the dates, spoke to my uncle to confirm with him, and called on a different day. And that was when the rigmarole has started. Waisted a lot of time, tedious, confusing, and the entire family tried and still did not book after 2 days. This time I spoke to a different person who said that all bookings have to be made on line and would not book over the phone. I explained that I have already have a quote and have discussed at length with a different coordinator and just need to book a date. She refused, asked to fill a form in line and include the picture of the items, and that precise dimensions and materials were not good enough (talking about an IKEA side board and a night table. I explained that my uncle is a senior citizen, does not use computers and does not own a camera. She insisted that the picture was required. Then my sister filled a form on line. This time they did not require a picture but gave a much higher quote for exactly the same items. By the time this was going on the date that was previosly available was no longer available. The rules have also changed. Now we were informed that in order to move these 2 (rather small) items it had to be an afternoon appointment only. And that if we wanted a morning appointment we had to book them for 3 hours. So it would be $260 for the first hour + $65 for each subsequent hour. So would come to close to $500 to move 2 small IKEA furniture items between the buildings a block away from each other! If we wanted to do it in the first half of any day. For that price any moving company could move an entire small office or a condo. So each person there seems to have their own rule. We still did not book anything 2 days later. And with respect to Canadian Tire small patio assembly, they said they need a picture of the item. I said it is in the box, as sold by Canadian Tire, looks like a bunch of sticks and metal screws are still in the plastic bag, and that there are inatructions. She did not discuss any further, just said they cannot do it without a picture of the item. Such a waist of time! My sister is still awaiting a phone call from them.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. This was the worst experience I have ever had using any service. I was specifically told by Katerine from "customer service" that we had a priority hold on our date and all that was left was to send the pictures of what we were moving so they can accept our deposit. I found this quite strange that they wouldn't take a deposit but figured the date was held and we would finalize once I took the pictures. I asked Katerine to send an email confirming the priority hold which she never did. The next day I sent an email with the images and details to confirm the move and Kate responded that the date had been booked. I called Kate immediately and was quite upset and she told me there's no such thing as a priority hold & that's not part of their process. I wouldn't say Kate was rude but she certainly didn't care that I was upset or offer anything to make up for the experience. Additionally, she tried to make it seem like a miscommunication which it clearly was not. I was lied to. Basically, if you're looking for a complicated process, unreliable company, being lied to, and treated rudely when you call to complain then I guess I would recommend this company.

So we booked Cargo Cabbie for a somewhat trapeze-like move -- one condo to storage followed by a house plus the stored items to a new condo. They came equipped with enough staff and supplies, and completed the condo packing in 6 hours and move to storage in about 6 hours. We were so pleased with the staff, we asked for the same ones for the next part of our our three-part move, and added one house packing, and unpacking to the next phase. We had no regrets about the added expense, given the care they took in making sure everything was safely packed, stored and moved. All the staff were interesting, compassionate, understanding and strong people!

My wife and I were anxious when it came to picking the right moving company for our move. We had some delicate pieces of furniture, art, and items of great sentimental value to us, and we had heard horror stories from friends who hired shady companies and had an awful experience. All of those concerns disappeared with Cargo Cabbie. Their estimate process was smooth and easy, and their Logistics Coordinator, Amanda, was always prompt, friendly, and professional when it came to our inquiries. She was always able to provide answers to our many questions, and helped us with details to obtain a special parking permit for their movers. On the day of the move, the movers arrived on time and immediately got to work. They never slacked off or tried to "run out the clock" to over charge us. They packed everything with extreme care, were incredibly friendly and easy to get along with. Ryan, one of the movers, could be heard telling the other movers, "Unpack as you go guys, we want to save these guys some money". In fact, by the time Ryan and his crew were done, we were charged significant less than our original estimate. When was the last time you heard of a company trying to save you money? The team went above and beyond during our move, and made it a stress free day. They even disassembled/reassembled some tricky pieces of furniture that we didn't think could be moved. At the end of the move, we did a walk around to check each item and ensure it was in good condition. Out of all our items, there was only some minor damage to an older wooden Muskoka chair. However, the team were upfront and honest about it and took full responsibility. Head office reached out to me the next day and they have taken it for repair (for free, we had the protection plan just in case). Every other piece of furniture was in amazing shape, including a large canvas painting we had. If you want peace of mind, this is the company to go with. They are honest, hard working, and professional. No hidden fees/costs, amazing care for your furniture and property (no damaged walls or scuffed floors). Earlier this year, my wife and I were moving a 2BR condo a few blocks in downtown Toronto. I balked a bit at the estimated price which seemed a little high, but because Javier seemed so on top of things, we decided to give Cargo Cabbie a shot. The verdict? The slightly higher price is worth it and now I won't move with anyone else, if I can help it. The team was friendly, thoughtful, efficient. The team lead (sorry for forgetting your names!) had all aspects of his team under control. There was one minor glitch in disassembling a bed-frame, but it was minor, we bent it back and all was fine. I'm sure anything more serious would have been taken care of. Moving has lots of worries, but at least now choosing movers isn't one of them, at least for us.

I moved this month in June. Moving is almost always a stressful experience and Cargo Cabbie made it incredibly painless and smooth. The booking process was very easy. I sent pictures of my place for a quote. You also have the option of contacting them if you need more details or if you want an explanation of your quote. Amanda the moving coordinator I spoke to was very professional and kind. I also ordered packing supplies from them. It made my life easier to have these supplies; especially the wardrobe boxes! Had enough bubble wrap and paper to protect plates as well as glasses. The day of the move, Jun and Ramier (my movers) arrived and they were great! I was stressed because my new place’s super only worked until 2PM that day which meant I couldn’t hold the elevator for my move. But the movers took it in stride. They were easy going, quick and efficient and they had a sense of humour. They also disassembled my ikea sofa, wrapped it carefully and assembled it in my new apartment. They also shrink wrapped some of my storage unit so I had zero set up to do when they placed my storage unit in my new bedroom. Special shout out to the both of them. TLDR: great moving company, great movers. One stop shop can even get packing supplies here. Very smooth process. Highly recommended.

I decided to go with them anyway because they were responsive on the weekend, were thorough in their quoting process, and had good reviews. On the day of the move, the guys showed up exactly on time in clean Cargo Cabbie uniforms. They were extremely professional, treated our belongings with a ton of care, and stuck around until the job was DONE. The best part about working with Ryan, Nate, and Armani was their attitude. Whenever I asked them for something, they were totally on top of it. I felt like the most important customer in the world, from start to finish! tl;dr: Very positive experience, I wouldn't hesitate to move with Cargo Cabbie again. Even before the move, we had an issue booking the elevator in our condo. Theresa was amazing and got us all sorted out on a new day. On the day of the move, Kyle, Nick, and Marius were so courteous, fun, and accommodating. Nothing was too much and they made quick work of our 2-bedroom condo. Seriously. These guys are pros. They didn't move slowly or try to milk the hourly rate. It was 100% effort from the moment they started. At the destination, they asked for direction if something wasn't obvious, but I really appreciated their independent decision-making. It really removed the stress from us. Nothing was damaged in the move, and they took very special care for the items I pointed out as being especially important to us. Cargo cabbie is the first moving company I've ever used, and I can't imagine using another company or doing it myself ever again. Their service is worth every penny.

Even though there was ongoing construction that blocked the loading dock, they were very accommodating and figured out a solution on the spot. First of all, the move team we had with John, Rabel and Kuong was amazing. My husband and I had packed many boxes but we weren't finished when they arrived. We were overwhelmed with the mountain of boxes in our apartment with no end in sight, but not only were they incredibly helpful and constantly asked if we needed anything, John helped us pack many of our kitchen items. They took the utmost care handling very fragile items and special boxes (like one with my wedding dress) as well as during furniture dismantling and assembling it just right at our new home. Nothing was broken or damaged in the move, and they were all friendly, kind and upbeat despite the very long and tiring day of an 11 hour move. We were so thankful to have had them as our moving team. General feedback: if you need to buy boxes from their box store, note that the moving kits for 1 bedroom or 2 bedroom apartments don't include dish kits. Don't know why, since everyone has dishes, but they instead give you 25lbs of paper (that leaves you with so much left over that even if you use a lot, it looks like you've barely made a dent in it), and what seems like not enough bubble wrap (would rather have two rolls of this since we needed to buy more separately).

I was moving from my small bachelor apartment, Cargo Cabbie was a local business and I wanted to support that. The movers showed up on time, were VERY respectful of my belongings, hard working gents, polite and chill and were honestly the best movers I've ever hired. The ability to rent the moving containers and purchase other supplies while booking my move made life a little easier. The trucks are the cleanest around. The issue: my quote. Very in-depth process, lots of questions and numbers delivered on my part. They gave me a quote and it seemed a little higher than I was used to paying but their company seemed little nicer than I was used to hiring so I didn't mind. They told me over the phone the quote might seem high, but not to worry because they're just being safe and it probably wouldn't hit that price. I wasn't moving appliances or even a single bed. Come moving day the price ended up being DOUBLE the quoted price (roughly 1200 vs 600). The next week I called to complain about it, they said they would look into it. They responded saying that I was moving more items than originally thought, and that my hallway was longer than expected. I had sent them photographs of everything being moved, and they knew the number of totes being moved because I had rented said totes FROM THEM! Eventually they offered me $100 off my next move. Pretty sure I'll just hire a different company and save a lot more than $100. Had the movers not been such good guys I'd have left a 1 start review. If you're looking for the best movers in the city and price is no concern? Cargo Cabbie all the way. Is money at all a concern? Get a quote, just make sure you double it.

Regarding the move, we had a slight hiccup with two of the three movers going to the wrong address. That said, Jonathan (the lead) managed it in a quick and professional manner and ensured they got to the right spot. The three movers worked quickly to make up for the lost time, and we completed the move in a shorter time than originally quoted. Due to the mix-up they threw in the packing material for free. We requested packing and storage service from this company at the last minute which we were grateful for at the time. I received an estimate for the work and then was told, while they were on route that a charge from Etobicoke to Scarborough was going to cost $150 just to get them there. I sent photos prior to receiving the quote, had the team pick up and have to return items "that were not a part of the items captured in the pictures" and then refuse others for the same reason. Which was annoying but didn't matter. I received the final bill which I had some concerns about. I asked to speak to the Coordinator who continued to repeat that she had added items that were unknown at the time - I don't dispute that statement- but then proceeded to tell my tone was rude because the charges didn't make sense. After hanging up and going through each charge line by line I did determine there was an error and I am owed money. Buyer beware- get the full quote BEFORE you provide a deposit because once you give them your card, good luck speaking to a professional person if you have questions.
