The packers and movers were excellent, efficient and friendly and I would highly recommend them to anyone. They are a talented crew. The management of this company however, is absolutely horrendous. They cannot be reached by email nor phone, the odd response through email is very unprofessional, they don't provide any advance notice of when they will be coming (I.e lay out a schedule with the client), and their employees are not informed on important details. The poor employees arrived not knowing how much there was to pack, what was going where, nor what heavy items may need to be moved. We warned about a heavy item needing to be carried up the stairs, however once the movers got here their "boss" told them not to do it and even refused to send an extra worker to help. Will never be using this company again.

Booked a move with Campbell; I requested and received a confirmation letter stating 2 men plus truck with a 4 hour minimum. Perfect. On moving day, 3 men show up and the rate is suddenly $25 more per hour. I asked why there were 3 men, the movers had no idea and I had little choice but to sign off on the new price at the door. The move took just 3 hours plus 40 minutes transit time to and from the depot (a bit of a joke since I live 4km from the depot). I was charged the 4 hour minimum. I contacted Campbell regarding the above, no response. I feel I was overcharged by ~$100 plus tax, I could have easily done the work of the third guy. The least they could have done was just charge the total move time of 3.5 hours and refund me $65 plus tax. Two of the movers were amazing, nothing was damaged and everything went smooth. The third guy stated he was relatively new and he wasn't all the useful. If you only need 2 movers - look elsewhere.

The owners wife has a complete lack of skills to run this business aswell as lack of respect for their employee's, came off as professional and caring people but the owners wife destroys that to an all time high, lack of organization for moves, also like to play tricks in the books to refuse paying employees for their work and surprisingly seems they do the same to their customers. I'd highly recommend avoiding these scummy people. Most of the workers are okay though. If you need any information or questions ask for Murray stay away from Karen.

I am still waiting for a delivery meant to be delivered in august 2016 and no one is even making contact with me. I am constantly leaving messages, sending emails, without an answer. I really dont want to have to do this, but my next step will be to file a complaint against the company.

Campbell Moving Systems (Stittsville) moved us in March 2016 from Stittsville, ON to Halifax, NS. The Campbell Moving team was efficient, friendly, professional and we really felt "taken care of" from the day I requested a quote to the day our belongings were delivered to us in our new home in Halifax. I have already recommended Campbell Moving to my family and friends. I highly recommend them for a local move or a long distance move. Moving is stressful. Campbell Moving really made the experience a lot easier.

Unfortunately I had a bad experience. My original estimate based off of weight was exactly $2,765.21. I had just moved about 10 months earlier with another company and the price was approximately the same so I was happy. This time, I was moving less stuff so I would have looked elsewhere if the price was substantially higher than before. In the end, when my stuff arrived, the price I was charged was $3,804.07! My mistake was that I only partially weighed my load before having it shipped (I was having stuff dropped off in two different locations). I was a fool for being trusting. I weighed the load going to the second drop off location and I had made a very educated, close (I weighed every thing again later as I was in disbelief and felt cheated) estimate of the first load. The weigh ticket had stated that this second load was EXACTLY 400 lbs above its actual weight. They did not know I had pre-weighed that load. Sadly, there is really nothing I can do. I made every effort to explain that there was some mistake in rational terms like a honest human being, but I hit so many walls I had to give up. Employees on the opposite side of the country from where it was weighed, who had never seen the shipment or heard about it until I complained insisted that the weigh ticket is infallible and is impossible to manipulate or falsify. It only came to my attention later that CBC Marketplace had done an episode on movers taking advantage of families who did not pre-weigh their shipment. I weighed the entire load afterwards and had gotton 974 lbs. I had estimated to them 900 lbs when getting the original quote. I had paid for 1620 lbs to be shipped across the country. That is 646 lbs of overcharges. That is 66% of my original load! I personally weighed each box/"item" so I know with 100% certainty that there was an honest mistake or an intent to take advantage and overcharge. I hope somebody reads this and will think twice before trusting the moving company to weigh your shipment(s) for you. At least be there while they are weighing it.

I am writing this after a week of calling to get the boxes picked up out of my garage, which is still full from our move. Come on people your a moving company you can't arrange to pick up some 20 boxes of paper! I am glad they weren't involvein the move from the beginning. I wouldn't recommend these guys to move anything, anywhere.

DISCLAIMER: move took place in 2014. Worst moving experience, and I've moved internationally 7 times. Packing was careless, air freight was put in the sea freight. I've had to replace expensive gear because was sent to long term storage instead of sea freight. I still to this day have half a chair with screws with me while the remaining parts and in storage, and one out of six dining room chairs. The list goes on and on. They did not bring wooden crates to load and seal on location and instead loaded everything in a big truck, crushing things randomly (I lost it when I saw my flat screen TV with 5 boxes stacked on top of it). It was just overall careless, disorganized and rushed. Pictures show a few flagrant examples of damage. Honestly, I don't think I could recommend any moving company in Canada as most companies who will pack you out will not have the professionalism to take pride in their work. My advice: be very prepared, supervise every box packing that matters the most, especially artwork and fragile things, supervise the truck loading for excessive loads, and don't do this alone. They will go fast and you won't be able to watch everything. Just beware.

Worst moving experience ever. The crew was friendly, respectful.However the move took 16 hours to move a small town home that took my previous 2 moves 8 hours. I was quoted for 8 hours. The company charged me for 10 after filing a complaint. The other issue was some damaged goods and my brand new floors. which i will not be compensated for because I had not purchased the insurance. sigh..

Our move with Campbell movers started out as a nightmare. The first steps were OK. Someone came rapidly to assess the move, then a girl named Brianna emailed me the quote with the subject line: "Your move on August 1st". I answered back that it was OK and that we would go with their quote and let them do the packing. No news after that. I assumed that it was settled and got extremely busy preparing the house. On the eve of the move though, I started wondering why I had not heard anything, especially that they were supposed to pack. So, as everybody knows already, nobody showed up the next day. I tried to reach them and it's only at 10:15AM that I got someone to talk to, after 5 phone calls. I barely got a little "we're sorry" that didn't sound sincere at all. I was not on their list!! They were able to "re-book" me for the Friday, 3 days later. It was my closing date, so I had very little time to clean the house after they left. I rushed to finish by the deadline. My husband was out of town and had to cancel two days of work; the painters I had hired for my new home were now there working in the middle of a move; we had to cancel the few days of vacation we had for the week after the move. The impact this delay had on our life was immense and we feel it to this day. I want to say though that the packers and actual move crew were outstanding. They worked swiftly and tirelessly; the movers, the three Matts and Poe were fun and professional, the tallest, Matt no. 1, the "boss" it looked like, set up the tone first hearing my story, apologizing for people he even didn't seem to know very well, and being so nice, funny and relaxed I started to feel good and happy. I would recommend them in a pinch but beware of the administration. Like another person said, they are "horrendous".

They broke our new borns dresser that was over 300$ and only gave back 45$. I wish we did more research on other companies but dealing with a new baby at the time. Not sure why they charge excessive amount for travel and not convenient there coming from sttitsville during rush hour. The night before my husband emailed them to ask how much insurance would be (do your research,movers should automatically include this)but they didnt respond and now it cost us alot of money for all this headache.

My best friend used this company on her move out of the city. They refused to wear masks and said they had never had issues with covid...and that it hindered their breathing.....I admit wearing a reusable mask while moving is hard...but with disposable there should be no excuse....I moved a friend up a walkup and we wore masks in 30 degree weather so that is a load of bologna. I'm disgusted that you would put a single mother in that position.

Campbell Moving Systems was the best moving company I have ever used and I would highly recommend this company. The movers were on- time, professional, extremely careful, quick, efficient and conscientious – a perfect combination to help reduce the stress of moving and made me and my belongings feel valued. Great customer service and reasonably priced. Highly recommended, it would be a mistake to use anyone else!

*REVIEW UPDATED* Customer service got back to me and I am now expecting a refund of the promised 3% discount and will eventually receive the 50 bonus Air Miles. Yay. This has been a difficult process to go through but at least the two moving guys that moved me were great.

My company uses Campbell Moving for moves within/going to/going from Ottawa and for air shipments going to Northern Canada. They are professional and have always lived up to their promises, the manager Murray Crosby has always been good to deal with. I would recommend them for corporate accounts handling employee transfers
