Here you will be able to see all the opinions of real people who buy the products and services of Canada Moving - London (Head Office) (Moving Company) in Argentia area (Canada).
Right now the business has a score of 3.8 stars over 5 and this score is based on 93 reviews.
As you can see its rating is very high, and it is founded on a high number of scores, so we may think that the score is quite faithful. If people have bothered to value when they've done well, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually bother to give tatings when they are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Moving Company belongs to the category of Mover.
It was awful frankly. they were late a couple hours both getting there to pack and getting there to unpack. They packed everything fine in 2 rooms, but the one I wasn’t watching was horrendously packed. Expensive material I use for my hobby was shoved into boxes like packing paper and creased beyond repair when they delivered it a few days after it was packed. When I filed a claim it took forever to get answers and I had to email them constantly asking what was going on, finally they said it wasn’t going to be covered, the damage was a couple grands worth of art supplies and material. When they were here to unpack, they were making a huge mess of the place. Just unwrapping things hastily and shoving them into cabinets, particularly in the kitchen. We just wanted them to leave because they were creating more work for us. Only 2 people were sent to do the whole of the unpacking for a 2 story house and they were rushing through it so much. As people, they were very kind, as a service…this was a nightmare.
Excellent service from the first contact by telephone to the crew that helped us move to our new house. The moving crew was friendly, helpful and professional. We were quoted about 6 to 7 hour, but the crew got the move done quicker than that. Very impressed. Appreciated the follow up calls and emails.
had a great experience with campbell bros movers all people i talked to where very helpful and i go a great move the movers where profestional and freindly
Great experience from initial estimate to final piece being unloaded. Guys were efficient and knew what they were doing to ensure move ran smoothly. If I ever move again would definitely call campbell brothers.
Justin was very helpful and took my calls at practically all hours of the day. He was also willing to intercede on my behalf when the company put more guys than necessary on my move, which would have cost me an extra $50. When it turned out I had to cancel my move due to unforeseen circumstances, Justin was gracious and made sure I got my deposit back. There was a clerical error somewhere that resulted in the movers coming to my canceled appointment, but it all turned out alright in the end.
Used them Feb 15th, went flawlessly. Fast, hard workers and nothing broken. Will be using again next time i move 100%.
The team that showed up for my move were so positive, with a very get it done attitude that helped alleviate some of the stress of moving! They got everything moved in a very timely fashion, joking and laughing along the way. There was no damage to any of my items or either of the houses and I felt like they problem solved getting everything in and out effectively. I will without a doubt use Highland again (although I hope I don’t move for a few years) and recommend them to anyone I know moving.
Very hard to deal with this company. As a first time moving across the country we had an awful experience. The packer hired in turn hired a few well meaning but not experienced teen girls to pack our belongings. So many damaged items on the other side we only decided to claim the worst and largest items damaged. We are talking books packed with CHINA, books on top of a computer, action figures and collectables thrown in with kitchen utensils. The start of the claim seemed easy enough and was partially reimbursed. Needed a diagnostic on the computer. Did that, sent it in and requested the 2nd half for the tv broken. Now computer is denied and no word about the 2nd half of the tv!!? I have sent email after email and nothing. Guess I have to take them to court now. ????♀️ Do NOT use them.
Hi Amber, I tried to go on Google to give a comment on your company but couldn't figure out what step to take once I got on the Google site. So feel free to cut and paste the below noted comments from me and post on ur Google site. Thanks. Excellent move. Superlatives apply to this move. The guys who moved me were absolutely wonderful. Professional, efficient, courteous, helpful, friendly. I couldn't have ask for better movers. The way they handled themselves and performed their jobs definitely showed they took pride in their work and I was the lucky recipient of that. The move went smoothly and in record time. Amazing. Koodos to Gerry and his team who were my specific movers. Thanks a lot guys. You were great. I so appreciated your work ethic, efficiency, friendliness and just all around niceness. Well done! I would definitely get Campbell Brothers the next time I need to move. I would, without hesitation, recommend Campbell Brothers in London ON to anyone who is moving. So professional and they do all that they can to take care of their customers' moving needs and make their move a whole lot less stressful. J. Bezanson
I called Campbell Bros. Moving at the end of July 2020 wondering if they had the ability to move a few heavier machines from Ingersoll to Cobden ON as well as some household furnishings. I spoke with Justin and he assured me that it shouldn't be a problem. I mentioned that a truck with a hydraulic lift or a forklift would be necessary and he said he would come out and meet with us but didn't see an issue. Already living in Cobden we made the trip back to Ingersoll (6 hours) to meet with Justin. He had a look at what we had and the machines in question and said it was definitely not a problem and would write up a quote for us. The quote was sent to us a few days later and was accepted. The move was set for August 19th, 2020. Again we made a trip back to Ingersoll for Cobden to be there when the movers showed up. They showed up on time but with a basic truck and no forklift. The three men took a look around and went to make a phone call. The truck they had was definitely not going to work so we wouldn't be able to move that day. Waste of 12 hours of driving and gas! I received a phone call from Carrie in the office to let me know that they "were given the wrong information" regarding the weight of the machines and that they were bigger than they thought they would be. I asked her how they thought they were given the wrong information when Justin physically came to our home and viewed everything. He looked at everything and assured us there would be no problem. Is it not his job to assess the situation and know whether they can accommodate us or not? She said she would try and figure out something and get back to me. She called back later that day and told us they were not going to be able to move us after all. How can a company leave you hanging one week before your house sells? Well this company did!! They did come up with the name of another company they thought might be able to help us for about twice the price they quoted us! We ended up renting a truck with a hydraulic lift and moved the machines and our furnishings ourselves. Interestingly a bunch of inexperienced movers managed to do the job that professional movers couldn't do!! Saved ourselves $6000 and with any luck they have enrolled Justin in training so he can actually assess and be honest with potential clients instead of making promises he cant keep!! Beware if you are planning on using this company!!
We are very disappointed with our recent service. We have been waiting 2-3 weeks for delivery of our belongings and have still not received them. We are trying to be understanding with all of the delays but we are losing our patience. We were promised delivery yesterday or today and now we've learned of a further delay ... next week?! We have paid thousands of dollars ... think twice before utilizing this service.
Perfect 10! Your guys took what was shaping up to be an EXTREMELY stressful move, and made sure everything went flawlessly. We went from being ready to explode, to calm and serene when we saw the guys had everything well in hand. They even did it in less than the estimated time! Will definitely hire again in the future!
Most unorganized, sloppy, careless ignorant people ever! They damage and stack things so bad 100sf of stuff takes up 300sf garage!! I've never seen such a bad moving job. I could do do 10x better but we paid them for a reason cause we didn't have time!!! They even put the stuff we says we needed, at the back urewacheable & stuff we didn't bed stacked like at the front like a tornado came through. You're better off renting a truck and paying people to do it your way than put up with this companies ignorant bs!
Fantastic movers. Great attitude, efficient and pleasant guys. Highly recommend.
This the second time I have used their services and I was not disappointed with the efficiency, courtesy and above all their professionalism. I would highly recommend them.
very professional workers. they really take care of your furniture
Hi Karen, I just wanted to thank you and your team for your help with our move. To be honest the reviews on google made me worry a little, but you were recommended by a friend I trust, so I knew I should listen, and so happy I did. From the beginning with Kyle responding back to me, and Brianna answering all my questions (as I had not moved in 30 years), your team was so professional. HOWEVER, the team that actually made our move..."Kyle's Team" were absolutely amazing. Their care to detail, and protecting the house we were moving out of, as well as the one we were moving into was awesome. You can have an amazing administrative team, but you are only as good as the front line, and you should be very proud of them, and I hope you pass that on to them. They introduced themselves, were friendly and so hard working. The cost was not as estimated, but it made sense as Kyle explained it. all. He (Kyle) especially worked relentlessly while hobbling with an injured foot. Again, thank you and I will pass on any recommendations I can when possible.
Had a great experience Drivers very professional Would use again Will be recommending to family and friends
Its good place, but main problem is that there warehouse timing is 9-5 only. They are close on Saturday and Sunday. So if anyone wants to use there storage should take break or off from their office.
Good people
Our moving experience was excellent. My husband and I have absolutely no complaints at all. We moved from a farm and downsized to an urban environment. The three men, Steve LaBelle, Tyler Manning and Zack Mathin all worked very hard. All the men were polite and very helpful. Thank you for a job well done.
Had an amazing experience with our movers. Burlington movers arrived on time. Part of the United Van Lines group, they were prompt, professional and fun to work with. The team lead by John, with Allan and Mario made our move a breeze. They are the dynamic trio!! I highly recommend this company.
It was a great experience , 3 friendly hard working guys came too move everything. Made it stress-free, very happy. Thank you ????
We have moved numerous times over the years and this last move had to rate as one of our worst ever! We were moving from St Thomas to Belmont, with a week between the move out and the move in dates. We signed a contract with Campbell Bros to move our belongings out, have everything put into sea cans and then a week later have the sea cans delivered to Belmont. The crew that showed up for the move out had a truck - no sea cans - and weren't aware that our goods were to go into storage. They actually did a great job of moving the stuff out of the house, being very careful and not doing any damage to the goods or to the property. The crew chief did some checking with head office and was told that they would be unloading the goods into sea cans back at the warehouse. We were concerned about the fact that our goods were now going to be handled one extra time - instead of "house-sea cans- house", we were going to have to go to "house-truck-sea cans-house". When we called the office, they had the perfect solution for us (sic) ... just pay the extra insurance if you're concerned with the extra handling. Now, isn't THAT a great business model??? Screw up the plans/signed contract and then have your customer pay extra for that screw up? Anyway, when we called on the day prior to the scheduled delivery in Belmont, we were told that the movers would be there between 8 and 8:30 on the following day. So, we went ahead and made plans with friends to help out and with work to fit that schedule. At around 4:30 pm that same day, we get a call back from the office to tell us that the crew won't be there until noon now! On the day of the move in, we waited and waited and still no sign of the movers. When we called around noon to find their whereabouts, we were told that the crew would be there within the hour. That hour and a couple of others passed and eventually a truck showed up with a sea can a little after 3 pm. That crew proceeded to tell us that our goods weren't actually moved from the original truck into sea cans ... in fact, it was moved from the truck onto pallets in their warehouse and then from the pallets it had to be moved into the sea cans! So, our concern with extra handling was actually doubled now - two extra handling of our goods meant two extra opportunities to do damage. And the crew that dropped off the goods had no idea as to what they were doing - one young fellow was running around (literally) on and off the truck and within the house just dropping stuff anywhere, two other young fellows had to be told (by us) on how to properly handle various pieces of furniture. Just a total mess, with the only goal in mind being to get the job done as quickly as possible - we were told that this crew had just done a 10,000 lb job and didn't expect to be having to do our job as well. Suffice it to say, a number of pieces of furniture were damaged - one clearly as they placed it, and they were aware of the damage and didn't say anything to us. At the end of it all, the email we got from Campbell Bros was basically a "too bad, so sad" email - telling us that they had not charged us for the return trip to the yard - NOT TRUE, because they charged us the 1/2 hour trip from St Thomas to London - and to file a claim if we had any damage at the normal rate of $0.60 per pound per article. And, they charged us for the container rental fee and container usage fee ($990 + taxes) when our goods weren't even stored in the containers! We will be filing a complaint with the local BBB over this, but we urge you to stay away from these people. UPDATE: Subsequent to the initial posting of this review. we have been in communication with the Company, with the Canadian Association of Movers and the Better Business Bureau, and after 5 months of back and forth, we have received a satisfactory settlement from Campbell Bros for the damages/troubles that were caused on this move
The web site states instant quote but its false
I had heard good things about this company but unfortunately my experience was so opposite! The movers were 6 hours late on moving day. I had to phone around to find out what was happening.....only to be told ‘oh, didn’t someone call to tell you they had been assigned another job ahead of yours?!’ Well, no - if so, why would I be trying to find out what the heck was going on???? Duh! Moving guys did a great job, once there. Had no clue as to arrangements that had been made for the cross country move. Promised to call me with the final/confirmed weight. No call ever happened. I started out my drive across the country, all the while checking in with the London office - they couldn’t make contact with the driver, I’m told - so couldn’t get confirmation on arrival. Along the way, I kept checking my finances to learn AMJ had charged my credit card a significant amount over the estimate. No communication with me at all! I arrived in Edmonton and again no communication from London office or the driver. Tracked down my belongings in Calgary!! Another company was dispatched to get my belongings to Edmonton. They were great. However on review of paperwork, saw inequities and in fact 2 of my boxes were missing. Any communication with the London office resulted in the typical: oh, we don’t handle that - you have to deal with head office. It has been a long, frustrating month of following up with them both on the missing boxes and the overpayment. And of course it’s 2 different departments!! Finally I’m told, last week, that neither situation can be resolved. Boxes are not to be found anywhere AND I will not be reimbursed any monies either. Why would they bother on any of this? They had my money and I’m out of luck. I have never had such a frustrating, disappointing and unprofessional moving experience . Do not deal with this company! Moving is hard, stressful and emotional. I expected more understanding. Guess I am just a number in the system.
Our thrid move with Canada moving. Each move handled with care and professional service! Easy to recommend.
I am writing to you to express our delight with our selection of Campbell Bros. Movers. After having lived in the same house for 30 years our move we believed was going to be less then exciting. We had packed boxes with markings of G for garage and B for basement this delivery went very smoothly for the boys. Jessie and his crew of 2 arrived promptly at 8 am. They asked to see what had to be moved and proceeded to work together beautifully. they took items apart and wrapped everything in blankets. We have nothing but praise for Jessie and his crew they were polite and tirelessly responded to my questions. We would recommend this company to anyone having to make the move.
Ï recently used Campbell Bros for moving to new accommodation in London. They were very professional in their manner and workmanship. The team was diligent, polite and helpful both when leaving the initial property and arriving at the next. This would be my first choice of company for any future moves. Excellent service all round.
Would not recommend this company. The movers damaged our fridge and freezer and they will not reimburse us the quoted amount to get them fixed. They are stating that the claim amount is not changeable after initially submitted, but they get you to have someone in to assess the damages AFTER they get you to submit the claim. Extremely frustrating process. Contacted administration and was basically told that’s the way it is. Very disappointed in this company and will not be using them again.
Terrible customer service, drivers stole packages and refused to deliver furniture...
The entire process from beginning to end was seamless. Everyone was so friendly and knowledgeable, and saving money for us when possible. Rob and crew were quick and helpful. Great experience and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to family and friends.
Movers were prompt, efficient, and positive. We had the father/son team and they work with energy and experience. We had a glitch in the timing and Campbell bros. were able to adjust their schedule to accommodate in the best way possible. We so appreciated Les and Payton and the service received.
We had booked movers for a friend who was fleeing violence, but when they arrived we had to tell them the abuser was not being cooperative and would only lèt this poor woman take her personal belongings so we did not need their services. The man i spoke to was very kind and assured me I was only paying the 100.00 deposit...only to find they have taken an extra $265.00!!! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND LOOK AROUND BEFORE USING CANADA MOVERS. Then i call AND AM LIED TO BY A VERY RUDE MAN ON THE PHONE. I AM NOW ON THE PHONE WITH THE BANK AND FRAUD TEAM AS THIS MONEY WAS STOLEN....
Don't use unless you are okay with getting your stuff stolen. Edit: Owner lying in response.
Amazing moving experience! The team of three were incredible. They were kind, careful, and so efficient.
We used Canada Moving to relocate from Toronto to Texas and it couldn't have gone better. They were incredibly responsive, professional, and our truck packed, loaded and delivered exactly when they said from the start. Highly recommend their moving services.
I must say that my move with Campbell Bros went very smooth and Mike and his crew did a real good job, and I was treated very good.
Campbell Brothers was great, I have used them on several occasions and have always been extremely happy with the service and personnel - efficient, professional and courteous. I will use them again
Excellent service and great staff Highly recommend this company I was hesitant to book my move with them because of some negative Google reviews , but I took my chances I only had few hours to finish the whole move The weather was terrible ,, heavy snowfalls and horrible road conditions They showed up late because of the weather I started to freak out! Then they surprised me by all means They were efficient, organized and professional They wrapped every piece of furniture in blankets and taped it well They were in and out in 4 hours! The original estimate was 6 hours So they totally made it up for the late start by being quick and professional When it was time for the bill, they billed me exactly as agreed, no surprises no hidden fees Thumbs up guys! Thank you team for your hard work, You did an amazing job, And a big shout-out to Chris for going above and beyond in his excellent service
We were very pleased with our experience, They were very pleasant and so through, everything was wrapped and protected! Definitely would recommend the Hinton in Windsor crew for moves!
I moved out of my condo August 14, 2017 and my property was put into storage until September 14, 2017 when I moved into my apartment. I used Campbell Brothers Movers and can only say Shane and his partners were very efficient, polite, friendly, and professional. I would definitely recommend Campbell Brothers Movers.
We moved on June 28 2016. We had Jeff and Jesse as our movers. We had Jeff the last time we moved, which is why we used Campbell bros. again and Jesse on his third move ever. They came in and introduced themselves and asked if we had any questions. Then they toured the house. Through the whole move they were effecient, friendly and polite. Jeff certainly showed his experience by guiding every move. Near the beginning a young lady from Cambell bros. came in to make sure eveything was ok and to see if the team needed anything. At the end we asked them to move a stackable washer and dryer downstairs for us. I felt bad about asking them to do this after a day of moving furniture. This was heavy, awkward and difficult and they handled it with a smile. Thank you Jeff, Jesse and Cambell bros. I have always recommended you and will continue to do so.
I first used Campbell when I did a google search for piano movers, and when I recently moved into my new house and needed my piano moved again, they were my first call. They also moved all my larger items as it was a really short move. The piano and the hallways proved challenging but the 2 gentlemen I had were fantastic and made it happen. I will use them again for certain.
Good pick up still needs to be delivered piggybacked
Had an excellent experience dealing with Campbell Bros Movers. Nothing but professionalism from beginning to end. Lived up to everything they said they would do and were no surprises you seem to see with so many moving companies. Would certainly recommend them to anyone looking for moving services.
Excellent people to deal with from the original booking with Michelle, to scheduling with Glen....The team sent for the move was punctual, polite, professional, and went above and beyond our expectations. You all made a stressful task seem easy peasy....Thank you:)
We were very pleased with the service we received. The movers were on time, professional and worked efficiently. None of our property was damaged and all protected by moving blankets. The cost was reasonable as well.
Awful. Don't do it. Our biggest issue with them is the discrepancy between what the movers told us and their actual policy. As an example, they broke a number of items, told us to simply 'fill out the claim', no need to keep the broken items (who keeps broken glass?) and no photos necessary. Sure enough when we went to make the claim, they demanded photos. Fine if that's the policy - just ensure drivers/unpackers communicate that. They didn't use runners - we had to ask them, then insist when they still didn't. House was filthy when they left - coffee cups everywhere, dirt, even unflushed toilets. When we sought follow up with the company, we received a rude reply. Learn from our lessons - don't make the same mistake we did.
Fabulous service!! Beyond happy and impressed with our move. Both the movers at pickup and drop off were friendly and diligent! 10/10 would highly recommend
We used Canada Moving for multiple local moves. The moving staff - Uhmar, Claude, Walter - were very pleasant to deal with and responsive to our needs. I would highly recommend that you use this 'dream team'.
We hired Campbell's to help us with our move from our home to storage. They were prompt, knew exactly what they were doing, ensuring that anything they packed was done properly and securely. Placing everything in the storage facility was like putting a jigsaw puzzle together, but they did it in a quick and efficient manner. I would definitely use Campbell's again and recommend it to any of our friends!
Used Hoyts in Halifax, NS who is affiliated with Campbell Brothers as we had to claim damages through them. The crew moving us out of our home did a great job, the crew moving us into our new home - not so great. One of the crew members didn't look like he hit puberty, not really what we wanted to see when we are paying thousands of dollars for a moving service. The crew was unable to get two of our couches into the basement, took full advantage of our hospitality (drinking beers, taking lots of breaks inside the house), and by the end of it got tired of the job and put a bunch of boxes that we had labelled for other rooms (upstairs and downstairs) and stuck them all in the living room. Not impressed with the claim process either. We had denied the additional insurance coverage, assuming the crew would take a standard duty of care moving our possessions. My husband witnessed them drop our couch twice in the driveway while moving it. They didn't take drawers out of the dressers when moving them upstairs, letting the obvious happen (drawers opened while going up the stairs and smashed our walls). All very careless and signs of them just rushing the job. The claim process through Campbell Brothers has been painful. They have been unresponsive, dragging everything along, and will not give us a fair claim settlement. They won't even respond to emails to us asking them to review our claim settlement. We had to pay someone else on top of the thousands we had spent to move our couches in the basement (a job they should have been able to do, they are the professionals after all), and we also have damage to our dining table that they are only willing to give us six dollars for? Ridiculous. If you are looking for a good customer service from beginning to end, I would NOT recommend this company. They were great at the start, up until they got paid, and then ignored us the rest of the way. Not how they should be running their business. Would not recommend to anyone... there are better movers out there.
Moving yesterday was a great experience and your guys made all the difference!!!! They were professional, courteous, kind, friendly and went above and beyond to help make this transition a super one. They were efficient and thoughtful.
Campbell Bro's helped us move our house of 5. The four gentleman that did the move were on time, extremely hard working, very nice, accommodating, and took great care of our things. I cannot speak highly enough about the service the provided. The booking and management services were also very responsive and easy to deal with. overall an A++ experience.
Do not chose this company. This is a belated review but when I moved to my place they were supposed to arrive at 8am, I waited patiently. Called at 9 the person said they were running a little late, I called at 10 11 and noon. Same explanation. I got the run around. Then I asked to speak to a supervisor, finally after about 6 hours she tells me the move may not be possible that day. I had used them twice before and never again. I guess that's what loyalty gets you.
Shady claims process. Make sure you read the fine print before submitting a claim for damages. Appliances were damaged from move and not getting a fair amount in return because apparently they are unable to change the amount claimed after it has been initially submitted. Seems like a rule they use to shiest the customer. Gave them a chance to make it right, unable to do so just wanted to advise potential future customers.
My move on August 1, 2017 was handled very professionally by Les, Peyton , Rick and Andrew. I could not be happier with their help. They were very considerate since the building I was moving into only gave them 2 hours to use the elevator to the 24th floor. They had to return another day to finish the move and were so helpful and considerate. I would highly recommend Campbell Brothers as movers anywhere you need to move. This is an excellent company to deal with. I will be moving again next year and will definitely call Campbell Brothers again.
I expect moving to be stressful. Well, this company took the stress out of our move! We recently hired Campbell for a residential move. Julian, our consultant, was charming and attentive. Our packers and movers, Marnie and Travis, were fantastic. Not only did this team pack efficiently and effectively, their response to every request was "no problem". In addition, they were able to deliver our goods on the same day! I actually enjoyed this move- that's never happened to me before! To top it all off, the cost was lower than I had anticipated. When we have to move again, you can bet we will be calling Campbell!
Amazing experience, great start to move to East Coast!! David, Jonathan and Melissa from London were very effecient, friendly and great movers. These three had great customer service and took the time to answer our questions and explain the process. Thank you.
I had a fun and stress-free move with Campbell Bros. Movers. It is hard to believe but my move from my home of 15 years was a good experience. The moving truck arrived on time. The movers were polite and friendly, dressed in a clean uniform--and the truck was gleaming. My floors were instantly covered in floor pads for protection. The movers transported my belongings with care and placed everything where I wanted it to go--they didn't mind when I changed my mind and were always happy to help in any way. They are real professionals! They finished the move much earlier than I could have hoped. My next move will definitely be with Campbell Bros. Movers. Ltd. I couldn't be more satisfied.
We moved from a house to a condo and had a second move to put items in storage. On both days the crews were outstanding. Timely, Professional, Friendly, and great movers. Taking less time then estimated was also a bonus. We would highly recommend Campbell Bros Movers if you need to make a change.
We moved out of our home on August 4th, and into our Condo on August 5th. It went very smoothly, and the 2 men who were assigned to our move were professional, on time, and took care of our belongings. The cost was reasonable, and we had no surprises at the end of the day. Thanks Campbell Bros Movers Ltd!
Have had Campbell Bros. in the past and always a good experience, this time was not good at all. Four movers showed up--one the driver clearly was competent and expert--two guys were not competent nor experienced and damaged a lot of furniture and dragged out the move past 11 pm (it was london to sarnia). So many times during this long move senior movers had to stop what they were doing to redirect or stop these guys from damaging or moving things incorrectly. These two guys near the end were putting furniture everywhere, not listening, disappearing...it was the next day I saw what a mess they left. They moved a 45 year old hand carved oak dining room set--they assigned a staff member with two weeks experience--it took so long and of course was scratched after. They put the shelves in all backwards. The same staff member layed an upright freezer laterally and dragged it along the truck floor--'one staff member yelled 'you are damaging it'. He left a huge dent/scratch in the freezer and I don't know how he could not have noticed this. It was in perfect condition. They scratched the floors. They wrapped the lower part of the furniture but did not cover the bottom--so I had to watch them scratch the lower 2 inches of so much furniture. The senior movers wrapped the furniture entirely--there was no logic to what they were doing. They had no clue that you want to move something without damaging it and set it up--no capacity to follow through to the end. The driver walked into the house and put runners out to save the carpet. Two other movers decided they would walk all over the white carpet and made a huge mess. It was an amateurish display and what could we do. These two younger staff members were assigned to the lower level and they placed things all over for no rhyme or reason. They left so much furniture in the garage. They set up a bed in the middle of the room and so the rest of the furniture would not fit in the room and is still in the garage. It is not the driver's fault that this was so poorly executed--he was carrying the whole move--he would tell them to do something and what was a 5 minute task for him--would take 45 minutes and not even be done right by the less experienced staff. I really wish we did not get them in the first place. One of the staff members who dismantled many pieces of furniture put every thing together so badly, table legs are crooked. He took the feet of a couch, chair and loveseat--all 12 are put back incorrectly, jammed, crossthreaded--it is obvious it was not done right. How the person who did this thought this was ok is concerning. I blame Campbell Bros. for sending 2/4 inexperienced staff with little training and questionable competency. The thing about it is during the move they were really nice people but some just not cut out to be moving things. Don't let these amateurs handle your good furniture. It held up the whole move and they did not know what they were doing. We were so tired by 11 pm (and so were they) that we did not have a chance to look things over and trusted they knew what they were doing. No task is complete. The move was on July 26th and today (August 5) I am still doing damage control today.
Had a wonderful experience with Campbell Bros. The staff was very efficient and hardworking. They helped make our move stress free.
the most irresponsible and careless moving company. My move form Ontario to New Brunswick was bad experience .they damaged so many items and bring millions of excuse to not compensate the damages items.do not recommend to anybody
Just wanted to let your office know that your guys are amazing. They helped us out with moving selected peices of furniture from one location over an hour away to our home. The peices were breakable with lots of glass and mirrors and these fellows wrapped and moved the items with ease and efficiency. They were very polite and made sure that the furniture was placed exactly where it looked best, having to move a peice back and forth until we found where it looked best. They even stopped along the way to drop off a dresser at a other location. They didn't dilly-dally and were super efficient. Will definately be calling Campbell Brothers again for any future moving needs.
Hard to communicate with
I would highly recommend this moving company for many reasons! They arrived on time, took apart any beds, furniture and TVs, wrapped everything up carefully. They worked efficiently as a team to get the move done in a timely manner. They were courteous, easy going and friendly. They had no problem arranging my furniture, putting beds back together and even rearranging things if I changed my mind. I was very happy with the service provided to
A very stressful move. Arrived 5 hours late for move and they had no consideration for our extra travel expenses incurred as a result. Their response - we arrived the same day! Right from the start of quote process told me we needed a shuttle at our new location. Told them repeatedly no shuttle was needed as there was lots of room to back in without obstruction. Told driver the same and he told us several times he would check the location first to see if he could get into the location with his tractor trailer. He never did! During drive to our new home the final bill total was given. $1,664 more than quote, which is a hard hit to the pocketbook for seniors. I was very upset as this included a shuttle charge of $874. I expressed my frustration with manager Carrie Capone and was told I had to settle the bill in full before delivery. Called Chris Campbell in Waterloo and left message, no response. Sent registered complaint letter with google maps and driveway measurements to president Adam Campbell, with no response. Nobody would listen to me that shuttle was not needed. A very aggravating situation and don't need a cut and paste response to call Carrie Capone. This company does NOT take the stress out of moving.
We used Canada Moving (Campbell Brothers) earlier this week to move my mother's furniture from a senior home. The experience with this company was very positive. The office employees were easy to deal with when setting up the move and we had confirmation contact from them the day before the move to make sure everything was on track. The movers were on-time, professional and hard working. They completed the move in less time than expected and my mom's furniture was handled carefully, without a scratch. This is the second time this company has completed a move for us in London and they will be our movers again when the need arises. I highly recommend them.
We used them to move us within our town. The truck they sent was too small. When going to the new house, they went to the wrong address. They damaged a lot of our stuff. The left tape and tape rolls all over the floor in our old house. Took doors off the hinges and never put them back on. Left a bunch of stuff at our old house that we had to then move. It took them two trips to get our stuff from our old house to our new house. We were quoted 4.5 hours and it took closer to 8. They did remove 1 hour from our bill. We have used movers before but never had a experience like this. Would not recommend using them. Replying to your comment, you moved us Oct 2019. I can assure you it was your company that moved us.
I strongly recommend this company. Fast efficient and friendly. My movers were Colin and Keith. They were amazing!
Smooth and efficient - Jeff and Jonathan were awesome! - thanks again -Highly recommended!
Your staff were professional, polite and efficient. Your company manages to take some of the stress out of moving since I know that you will show up as scheduled and handle my belongings carefully, and place furniture exactly where I ask. This is the second move I have made using your company and once again I am happy with my choice. I look forward to recommending your company, and using you if I move again.
Campbell Brothers Movers is an excellent moving company. They are highly professional in all manner and method, yet warm and friendly. All their staff go over and above expectations! We highly recommend this fabulous company without any reservation, for any type of move. Thankyou Campbell Bros!
Where do i start!!!! The original team arrived on time, but immediately started complaining and rolling their eyes and mumbling under their breath that this was more than they expected. My bed is very heavy, they said they could not lift it alone they would have to get help, i also have a fire table, that is heavy so they need to get help with that also. Once they were loaded, minus the bed, mattress and fire table, they ask for diections as it was not showing up on the GPS. so they got directons from myself and my daughter, twice. The drive is less than 10 kilometers and 15 minutes. They had called for another truck for help. Then the Bermuda triangle swallowed them up, for 2 hours, no call nothing. Strathroy is 2000 people how could you possibly be that lost. The other truck arrived at original house, managed to get bed and fire table on their own and manzged to do the drive in 15 min. Go figure!!!! I called your office twice and was hung up on both times. Worst service ever!!! Took 7 hours as oppose to 4 i was quoted. I did pay the bill but will make sure that i never use Campbell brothers again. The office kbew we were having issues and mot a csll back to see if tgey arrived or how it was going. 1400 dollars, for poor poor customer service. Mary Carter
This was a horrendous moving experience. Many valuable items were broken. It seems there was a calculated effort to confiscate valuable belongings.
Steve and John moved for my brother and me this past weekend. On a move that I really should have asked for 3 movers instead of 2, these two men accomplished the task in a very professional manner and with good humour in spite of the long day and the long distance from the truck to the apartment on each trip. They set the furniture where I wanted it at the new apartment so it will not have to be moved again. If these two gentlemen are an example of all the Campbell Bros movers, I would not hesitate to recommend your company.
Husband works for them. Great job but bas when they send him on week long trips
We moved on the hottest day so far this year. The guys worked non-stop for 6 hrs wrapping everything in site taking extreme care of our belongings. They were very friendly and easy to talk to. If I had to move again I would request the same 4 guys.
