We moved from a condo in Toronto to a rural property in Saskatchewan and when we began the process of looking for a moving company we were very leary based on some reviews other companies had. Their quotes would come in amazingly low but we always felt like they weren't being completely honest and that we would end up paying a bunch of hidden charges at the end. I then sent a request for a quote to Atlas and Andrew reached out right away. He was not pushy and was very helpful with general information that we should have in choosing a moving company. He came out and did a survey of our home to give us an accurate quote. He was extremely professional and friendly and always responded to our inquiries quickly. Melissa was our coordinator and was absolutely wonderful. The team that moved us out and the team that moved us in were quick, efficient, ON TIME, friendly and very professional. I would highly recommend this company.

Moved from Saskatchewan to BC. The move went smoothly with both the receiving and delivering staff being careful with our stuff. The truck actually came a day early which was great in our scenario. The manager of the Regina branch was friendly and gave an accurate quote for our goods. Our stuff all arrived in good condition. The delivery guy could probably keep his political beliefs to himself but it didn't negatively affect the overall experience as he did a perfectly fine job. I'd use Van Lines again if I were to move cross country in the future. It wound up being cheaper than the estimated rental + gas for a UHaul and I didn't have to count on a UHaul breaking down like they always do, so win win.

We moved from Hamilton, ON to Saint John, NB. The local affiliate for Hamilton was King's Transfer, and they were great! Super professional and friendly. They took good care of our possessions the entire way. They also arranged to have my vehicle transported as well. I would definitely recommend Atlas to anyone. We chose Atlas for our move because we used them when we moved from Saskatoon to Hamilton in 2004 and we were extremely pleased with that move too.

On the agreed moving date and time between 2pm and 6pm I had not seen them or heard from them. I called same day (friday night) and no answers. I've sent an email and finally at 8:20pm the driver called to say that they had overbooked and would not be able to pick up my furniture as their truck was full and could not legally add anything else?#@ Then the driver tells me to call the office on monday and reschedule another date for my move..(moving from Alberta to Quebec) I had to cancel my flight the following day, lost work as I had to delay my move and find another mover and delay the move of the people who were moving into my house. Quite the domino effect. These people really don't care. They even used lies in order to keep my deposit. Not the end!

This is your company if you don't like your belongings! Company I work for uses them for moving employees. I would never use them if I could choose. I have been moved by them twice now and they damaged items. They arbitrarily decide whether they will be responsible for what they have done and what they will do to rectify the situation. I can't think of a time that any of my co-workers hasn't had items broken or destroyed. It is a given that if you transfer, the move will cost you some of your belongings thanks to Atlas. They should make that their moto.

I was very nervous about the move. They came and took care of me right from the start when the sale person came to let me know approximately how much it would be to the day the movers came they where very professional and made sure there was no mess. I moved on a rainy day and they out mats down everywhere. I just had to sit back and watch they load the truck. When we got our stuff at the other end. It was the same way. I would never use this company again. Lots of hidden charges and they hold your furniture hostage until you pay. Make sure they weigh your load when they pick it up and let you know if there is going to be extra charges. Customer service reps never get back to you and when they do, they offer no resolution. Unless you are standing at the weigh station, they get you with extra costs. Drivers were nice but also exhausted with the whole experience.

Absolutely amazing service!! I called to get a quote for a Calgary to Ontario move. They called me back right away, booked a Saturday morning in-home consultation and gave me an estimate by Monday morning...which was a bit lower than what I had gotten by any company up until that point. On moving day they arrived on time, with 5 movers. They wrapped and loaded a three bedroom house in 3 hours, which included taking apart 3 beds, a table and a desk. They were extremely professional, courteous, polite and personable. I was amazed! Delivery was just as great! Mike and Randy were an amazing contact and mover/delivery rep. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these guys to anyone and I'll definitely use their services again!

Our most recent move from Cambridge to Kingston was by far the best. The team of Mike, Kevin and Jeff arrived early for loading. They were a pleasure to work with, very efficient, professional and courteous! The day turned out to be a wet rainy one. They took great care with our belongings and our house, and there were no grumbles about the weather or the load, which was heavy and plentiful. I had to encourage them to take breaks. We were fortunate to have have same team deliver to us in Kingston. They arrived promptly, and although we were in a construction zone, due to their care and consideration, there was no damage to our belongings or our new home. We were very impressed and pleased with the service provided by AMJ Campbell and Atlas Van Lines, including the services of our moving consultant, Darrin Drake. We moved from Ontario to NB. We have missing items and damaged items. There was damage to our new home that the movers acknowledged was done by them. We submitted a claim for the damage. After months of trying to talk to our agent, she finally just emailed and said it's outside the time limit and not covered. We emailed multiple times with no reply. Called several times and left messages and she wouldn't call us back. This was definitely the worst experience I've had with a moving company.

Used Atlas to move my mom across the country, they broke a glass table day one of packing up the truck, they broke a dresser, they packed boxes we specifically told them not to pack, and to top it off, they lost over $2000 worth of tools and equipment and are refusing to reimburse her. Do not use this company, they've been unprofessional in the sparse replies we even did receive. They asked her to write up an itemized list of missing items, only to be then told they won't reimburse her for anything -- then why ask for a detailed list!??! Just be warned..terrible service, and customer service.

Full pack by Highland loading at Burnaby in late January -- full unpack by Atlas Agent King's Transfer unloading at Winnipeg in early February -- full Atlas Insurance -- some damage (nothing out of line given that this was a 2,200 KM wintertime move through the mountains and across the prairie provinces) -- in the end all items were either fixed or paid out for replacement -- very courteous people to deal with, from the estimation stage through to claims resolution. I am very happy with the way things have turned out and would certainly consider Atlas---Highland--King's again for my next move.

I did a long distance move in November/December 2018. The company did not deliver all pieces of my couch and have since stopped returning my calls and emails. I initially went through the proper channels to file a complaint about a missing item not delivered but everything has fallen on deaf ears. I guess it's easy to ignore a small individual person when you're a big company. But now I have a couch that I cannot use, cannot sell, and I paid for a service that did not deliver, literally and figuratively. I wish I had better things to say.

We Are Mortgages

We used Atlas Van Lines to move our family which includes two young boys and a puppy across country. As you can imagine, this is a stressful situation especially during Covid. The upfront communication, estimating, etc was fine, nothing spectacular but we were happy enough. Then things went sideways in a hurry. We flew our family out to B.C. and Atlas was moving 11,000 pounds of everything we own on one of their trucks. Apparently, the truck's brakes caught fire and the trailer went up in flames. No one was hurt which was amazing. After learning what could be salvaged, we ended up losing 98% of what we owned. Things that can't be replaced, memories lost, and on top of that trying to replace everything you own during a pandemic proved to be a very traumatic event for our family...and it's still ongoing. I understand things like this happen and it's nobody's fault...but...how you deal with it is fully within your control. The fire happened 8 weeks ago, we heard from their insurance company and Atlas in the first couple of days. Nobody, and I mean nobody has reached out since. Not one person has reached out and said, "Hey, we understand you lost everything you own and this is a traumatic event, how is your family doing and what can we do to help?". We have spent 80k of our own money replacing our possessions so far and have another 40k at least to go. We have spent 100's of hours searching and finding everything we lost and waiting months for any of it to arrive because everything is slower with Covid. And to top it off, we got an email today from Atlas asking for payment of our $15,000 moving bill. They said it's their policy for us to pay the bill and then go and get it from insurance. So let me get this straight. It's been 8 weeks since the fire, our world was turned upside down, we've paid over 80k of our own money and 100's of hours of our time, nobody has reached out to ask how we're doing or to offer any financial help, and you now want us to pay a $15,000 moving bill??? Please folks, I'd think twice before using Atlas to move your families possessions. It's all good until it's not, and then they disappear. ps. Atlas had insurance, we had insurance, and there was a $120,000 additional insurance rider on our contents, so there was insurance on top of insurance.

We were so tempted to go with one of the many "cheaper" moving companies out there, but decided to go with Atlas for our move from Calgary to Kelowna. Am I ever glad we did. They were an amazing, professional team, and their involvement in the move made this the least stressful part of our relocation. Everyone came on time. Our driver, Alex, tagged our belongings at lightning speed so that the moving guys could start loading right away. Our moving guys Alex and Sunny (I think they were from Mackie) were just the best. They were efficient but very careful, and treated our belongings as carefully as we would have. We just had to stay out of the way and answer the odd question, and they took care of everything else. Everyone was pleasant and accommodating, and of course, the most important part, everything arrived in Kelowna undamaged. We also requested a last minute delay of our delivery as our new home was still being renovated and couldn't receive our belongings. Atlas accommodated the request, which required UNLOADING the van and RELOADING it into another van, so they could hang onto our things for an extra week. They did this all without an additional charge. Talk about amazing. In the end, the cost was roughly equivalent to the other companies, but we were treated to a stress-free process during a most stressful time. Thank you all!

Had your agent in Red Deer, Mike Rook come to my house in April to give me a quote for a move to the US. He emailed the quote 2 weeks later with an added provision that I would be charged for 3000# regardless of the weight as that was the minimum for moving to the States. 1st of June I tried phoning to schedule the pick up, left a message for Mr. Rook to call me and nothing. Emailed Mr. Rook still no answer than tried calling again. If this is the way Atlas Canada treats customers than they are in big trouble.

Used Atlas Van Lines for a move from PEI to Ontario in 2012. Terrible experience, awful customer service. Unloaded boxes without checking them off properly, leaving us with a missing box and with an extra item (little wicker footstool) that wasn't ours. Conveniently, one missing box was of DVD box sets valued at $1500. They came to pick up the footstool that weren't ours, but refused to acknowledge missing box, stating we got the "right number of items"... except we didn't because we had the footstool that weren't ours! Multiple attempts were made to resolve this issue with both Atlas Van Lines and Foley's Transfer Inc. (PEI-based). They claimed this box never existed, insinuating that we were trying to scam them. Absolutely ridiculous, unprofessional service. To say I'm bitter and anger is an understatement, considering I'm writing this 6 years later.

Booking this moving company was the worst decision I've ever made. I moved from Ottawa to Calgary and they confirmed with me on Friday, before my flight to Calgary, that my belongings would arrive on Saturday morning at my new apartment; however, they called hours later (once I was already on the plane) to cancel the trip because one of their drivers had canceled. After arriving and finding out the news, I spent the entire evening trying to call anyone at their Ottawa and Calgary offices for customer support, but nobody answered. It wasn't until the next morning that I finally got in touch with the "manager" at the Ottawa office, who answered their general line and told me that they couldn't do anything about the delay and that my belongings would be delivered on Monday instead (the day I start my new job) and that they wouldn't offer me any reimbursement or discount for their mistake, nor would they offer any help in paying for accommodations for the weekend. Instead, the "manager" told me that this happened all the time and to go and buy a blow-up mattress for the weekend. My belongings arrived on Monday, delivered by seemingly inexperienced individuals, who had broken my tv stand, lied about it, and then mistakenly given me a lamp and a headboard for a bed that were not mine. I will not be using their services ever again. It was the most unprofessional and disappointing experience I've ever had.

We recently moved from Kirkfield to Wallaceburg. The gentlemen in charge of our move did an exceptional job. Everything was put into the rooms as marked. This made unpacking such a breeze. There was absolutely no damage. The guys had great sense of humour as well as compassion. It was a sad day as we just had to put our dog down a couple of days before the move, then on move day, my daughter came by and gave us news she had to put her dog down that morning. The movers respectfully, stopped the move so we could all take a few minutes to grieve. They were upset on our behalf too. Hired them to move us across the province. They kept delaying then showed up at 10 at night. The guys assured us that they labeled everything. Then it was a constant calls to them to figured out when our stuff arrived. On the day of arrival, they went to a house 5 doors down, because it had a uhaul so they figured it must be the place. What was the point of me providing a destination address? Then they literally piled everything into my living room. I would estimate that 60-70% of our items were either damaged or missing, but you only have 10 days to give them an itemized list of what's broken/missing so they can taken 10 WEEKS to process it. With the claims department, it was pretty much them shrugging their shoulders and saying, that's the risk you take. Right, so how did all the mattresses, that were taped, sealed in two mattresses bags arrive sans bags, with foot prints all over them? Their response.... Handling. Or shelves that were flat packed arrived snapped in half? Handling. Bike frame bent almost in half. Handling. Wall unit that collapsed when I put a book on it? Right, how could I forget, Handling. I've had better luck talking to a wall, because they work from home now and are unable to call you, or even answer questions that you've emailed them a half a dozen times, which have been highlighted and the font sized increased. Don't bother with this circus, save yourself the headache and rent a uhaul.

This moving company disregarded the rules of our condo building (and common sense, damaging our property and front yard with their truck. When asked to move, the employees did not respond in a respectful manner. If you are a condo owner, I would highly advise against the services of this company. They will not make a good impression on your new neighbors.

Foreword, not everyone has been difficult at Atlas, the Ottawa unloaders were excellent and the woman dealing with my emergency replacement was good as well. I have done many moves over the last 20 years with many organizations and the level of communication and overall service provided was by far the worst. This move has been a horrid experience, moved in July from Chicoutimi to Gatineau and experienced a host of problems and damages in the thousands. Other than an emergency item replacement, I am still waiting on a decision for a multitude of broken items cluttering my house. Here is bit about my move with Atlas: 23 June: In the AM, was provided documentation for the move and the 3rd party evaluator came to check the electronics. He did not confirm the state of any electronics and instead just collected product names and then left. Chicoutimi packers were also to come and perform a prepack, no one arrived, after calls to multiple people, was informed that prepack was to happen on 24 June (St Jean Baptiste). 24 June: Chicoutimi packers informed me that they were going to lunch around 1300, but they never returned to complete the prepack. Two of the Three gas cans were packed by the packer, and the unloader informed me he could smell gas fumes while unpacking. Only a few runners were installed, showed total disregard to COVID precautions and never asked me if I was okay with that approach. 28 June: Chicoutimi loaders arrived and stated that I needed to disassemble the crib, TV stand and desk (btw: I was still recovering from spinal surgery). Two of their employees were more interested in showing affection for each other, and on free moments, would display it openly. Was prepared to install moving bolts in the washer, said bolts were left on the top (in a box) of the washer to perform the task.Washer was loaded and confirmed damaged in Gatineau (box with moving screws were packed in the truck near the washer). Packers also loaded the propane tank that was in the BBQ, I had disconnected the regulator to assist the packers, but they didn't open the BBQ to confirm. 5 July: Truck arrived, driver backed into fence (adjacent to path with heavy child traffic), causing damage to the structure (still not repaired), unloader was able to make it safe enough for short term traffic. Innumerable quantity of materials have been found damaged from the pack and transit, I had no washing machine (replaced) , dryer has damage (replaced), one cabinet completely destroyed, damage to my stove, damaged to my oak dining table, broken wheel on my new pressure washer, all my bikes having some form of damage and many other items that were shipped also have damage. Pack was so poorly done that they haphazardly put items at the top of the load completely unsecured and said items started to fall on the unloaders. One box of washer fluid opened and a 4l jug almost hit an unloader, the jug didn't break on impact. The loaders also didn't correctly cover my new king size mattress or one of the two box springs, nor the green couch with plastic wrap. The packers also used my china boxes to support other furniture and placed a large couch on other boxes. After the unload: Unpackers instructed to only unpack certain rooms (kitchen Fragile only) and leave to perform other tasks (was resolved after many hours of phone calls), Missing items, broken glass found in boxes, had to wear gloves to continue unpacking, Empty gas can (contains fuel normally) found in box with clothing (daughter nursing smocks)

Make sure to clarify the method of payment with them because their drivers would make huge fuss about taking personal checks and insinuate the shipper might block the check and such. The worst part is he didn't apologize for those remarks!. I never felt more offended in my life before.. they wait until you call them to give the shipment schedule while I don't know what a turn around time they have to have on protocol. I was informed less than 12 hours and I had to cancel a doctors appt to receive the shipment. I wrote to them about this issue. I'd like to see how they handle this issue. Apparently customer service is not for everyone I guess..

I am having HORRIBLE experience with Atlas Canada so far. We moved from USA to Canada and had our boxes shipped out since more than a month ago. They picked our boxes on time and took the payment. However we still have not received any shipment due to lack of their drivers. The only update we receive is that there is "NO UPDATE" on shipment :( It has been very difficult for us moving into a new country with none of our belonging since more than a month

I have had a very negative experience with this company. They put their customer in harms way. I (the customer) was required against my wishes/judgement and safety to unsafely load my motorcycle into the truck. I was specifically asked by the drivers to ride it up the ramp and "jump" the gap between the ramp and the bed of the truck. This was dangerous and reckless on behalf of the movers and the company. The majority of my items were severely damaged, they appeared to be dragged on the ground causing severe fabric damage to my bed and sofa. The drivers on arrival to my new location refused to use the service elevator my building manager instructed me to use. The did unload my motorcycle - however they did so in an unauthorized parking spot despite me protesting that I was not allowed to park, it was a private unauthorized spot that risked my vehicle being towed. In addition I had to find the building who reserved spots belonged to and was required to pay a large premium. The movers also gave me a very large Christmas tree stand that belonged to another client - they refused to take it back and instructed me that I was to keep it since they did not know who it belonged to. I had boxes opened, items that went missing along with items being re-arranged. I have waited to try and resolve this with the company being initially told the claim would take 6-8 weeks, later 6-10 weeks. This time has elapsed and wen asked to see their policy on what to do with items wrongly provided - they denied me that (all I have is a text message from a drive stating I was to keep the item that did not belong to me) I also asked them to provide me with their policy info on customers being required to load their own motorcycle - I was denied. I asked for a revision of my claim based on the consumer protection act and items that were damaged by the movers - I was denied a revision.

I moved from Ontario to Quebec. I was given a choice on the dates when the movers would empty one house and unload my belongings in the other. This made the move less stressful. The customer service rep. (Virginia) was so accommodating and walked me through every step. On moving day, I had 3 movers (Andy, Jeremiah and Junior) who were professional and friendly. They made sure that my precious belongings were put on the truck in an organized and safe manner. When they arrived, they made sure that my belongings were placed in the correct room and in the right place. I would not hesitate to use AMJ Campbell again. Follow up response on June 2017: So.... I did reach out to the Atlas rep who makes his/her comments on all of our comments, and received nothing back in support. Their comments or remarks suggesting they will follow up and fix the issue, are simply poor customer service platitudes. As someone who has moved with the Military and for private sector employment, using Atlas Van Lines is a financial and property risk that is just simply not worth it. Initial Response from May 2017 We moved from Victoria BC to Nova Scotia (this is move 26). We arranged, after doing some research, with Premier Van Lines in Victoria...based upon positive reviews. Little did we know that on the moving day, the Atlas Van Lines would show up vs Premier team. Aside from some items not being packed, the move to NS was without issue. During the offload, and my wife and I busy inside the house, the moving team decided to lean items against my new vehicle. One of the items was a steel shelf rack. This steel shelf slipped or moved and caused the paint to be scratched to the point where it looks like a "ding". We unfortunately only noticed the damage after the movers departed. I immediately contacted the claims "customer service" office and their statement was that it is a police matter and not covered by Atlas. So, I ask them to provide the contact details of the moving team, so that when I report it to the police...I have information to pass along. Anyway.... it is often said that character is often brought out or highlighted during adverse times. Clearly the character of Atlas, when they damage your furniture or anything else in their way, is not worth your business. Avoid engaging this company and save yourself some grief.

Complete dog sh*t service. They quoted us $1000 and 17-23 days for delivery. At the end of the day it took 45 days for delivery and they charged us $1700 and told us they wouldn't unload our stuff until we paid. They basically held our personal belongings hostage while they extorted us. When we finally got our items, most of the boxes were ruined and our furniture was scratched. They also dropped off a number of boxes that were not ours and were extremely uncooperative in getting them delivered to the right owner. Stay far away from this company, I would have paid twice as much to use someone else... Absolutely aweful

Company is very unorganized and unprofessional. We were unable to get a date from them of when they could deliver our furniture and belongings. We were in our new home for just over 3 weeks until we finally got our furniture and belongings. When the mover arrived he didnt even have a crew of movers assigned so he had to call a random guy who didnt even work for atlas and he called some buddies and these people came to move our things. Our large sectional couch got completely smashed with the wood frame being busted in the back, patio table smashed, solid wood legs off a coffee table busted off, a broken bookshelf and a bunch of other damaged items. Not to mention what a gong show it was because they couldnt get the truck down our massive driveway so they had to rent a uhaul and load it all off the end of our driveway into the uhaul and drive it 200ft down our driveway which we also had to pay extra for. Worst experience ever. I would never recommend this company to anyone. You would be better off moving yourself and using a uhaul or a smaller local moving company.

We asked one of Atlas' agents for a quote which exceeded our budget by several thousand dollars. We purged things and asked for another quote and for the most recent one, because it was too low for them, they made up lies (like non-existent delays at the border preventing them from moving our stuff (which didn't exist at all from what other movers said!) so that they could let our contract expire and we waited a month for them to tell us this at the last minute. Ugh, so frustrating. If they told us in the beginning that they didn't want to move our stuff for a low amount instead of making up lies, we would not have relied on them and we would have looked for alternatives & called different companies. They wanted to see how vulnerable and desperate we were. They tried to charge us extra by taking our things and storing it indefinitely until it was convenient for them (and not according to our stated contract/quote/timeline). Thanks for nothing. Ugh.

Quote / cost: the process was simple, explained well, and had no hidden costs. Clint answered all our questions and gave a thorough walk through at every step. He was friendly and know his job very well. The final cost was lower than every other company I called. Communication: every question we asked by phone or email was answered, usually within a few hours. We never felt like we were bothering them; they showed they valued us as customers. The pack and move: Showed up early, finished earlier than they quoted. Ricky and his crew know their job. They were fast, efficient, and very careful with our belongings. They asked questions where things needed to be asked, and they seemed to value our stuff as much as we did. The unload: everything arrived safe and on time. They were as efficient on the unload as they were on the load. They put everything where we asked, even set up the beds and tables. Overall, I would highly recommend Premier / Atlas as a moving company, whether local or cross country. Safe, hard working, and easy to work with during the stress of a move. Morley was fantastic to work with from start to finish - he was very accommodating and kept open/consistent communication (if you can request Morley, I would highly recommend you do just that!). Everything was wrapped in blankets before it left our house to be placed on the truck which was comforting to see. Scheduling team was very accommodating to my specific needs of loading one day at a very specific time, and unloading another day during a very specific time. Moving and driving team took extra care of my fragile mirrors, tables, couches by wrapping them in additional padding and boxes. Team did not damage any part of my curved stairwell (move out) or the elevator (move in)- this was impressive as the curved stairwell was challenging for a different company. Was nice to see team collaborate in my home, teaching a newer mover what to watch for. Felt like I had the red carpet treatment for my move. I Would not recommend this company to anyone. They speak of discounts when looking into companies, then come up with reasons not to apply them: like its the end of the month and they are peak time.(which should have been mentioned when first offering discounts not when its close to move day). They did pack up quickly ill give them that, and most things got a sticker(but not all). Over 75% of my furniture got severely damaged(broken legs, holes, bench supports broken, fire pit wall removed from frame by dent, shelves from bookshelves missing) rendering much unusable or need of repairs. BEWARE YOU HAVE 10 DAYS POST MOVE TO MAKE A CLAIM(take pictures). I only finished finding all the broken stuff a month later and couldn't claim it all. 3 months later they responded to my claim/email... Of the items that I found in time from my claim, only half was even considered, with no explanation as to why they are choosing not to count the rest. AND they under value the weights of items so they don't have to pay as much based on the 60cents a pound coverage that's suppose to be included. Buyer beware.. I also will be speaking to my lawyer, but wanted others to know before they get scammed too.

Smooth as silk Mine was a small move of mostly personal possessions from Victoria to Fredericton in February 2019. Several companies I contacted said that my move was too small and they were not interested. Then I had the good fortune of reaching Jan Doran at Premier Van Lines in Victoria, Atlas' agent there. She assured me they would handle my move easily and I was pleasantly surprised at the quote given to me! I was invited to come out and pick up supplies as I was doing the packing myself. Afterwards I had several questions all of which were answered honestly and quickly. I felt as if I were dealing with a friend! When moving day came, Delroy called an hour ahead of when they were supposed to arrive and asked if they could come early!! No waiting around for these guys! Delroy and Tyler were very efficient and the care they took in wrapping and carrying out my things was impressive to watch. In an hour things were all loaded and because I wanted to know the weight of my load, Delroy called me from the scales and informed me that as planned, I was just below the limit I had set for myself!! Delivery on the other end was equally a pleasant experience! Dennis called me the night before to give me an estimate of when he would arrive and like clockwork, he was there as planned. Again, two very pleasant fellows who had my things inside , checked off and unwrapped in less than an hour! Let me add that getting that 80 foot van down this street should have been difficult but was handled quickly and without incident. Very professional company to deal with from start to finish. I highly recommend them.

I moved from BC to Ontario at the beginning of the year and had called a couple van lines to get quotes, but right from the beginning Atlas Van Lines stood out - the woman that I talked to in the office were very friendly and immediately put all my fears about the moving process to rest. The people who came to load my items were quick and professional and the two young men who unloaded for me in Ontario were friendly and helpful - they stayed late to make sure all of my furniture was reassembled (even the items that Atlas didn't disassemble). Not a single item was lost or broken along the way!

The loading team did a terrible job in how they arranged the furniture in the truck, and many items were damaged as a result. The unloading team was the one that pointed that out. They even took pictures to show the head office how badly arranged the furniture was. The head office's representative said no responsibility would be taken even though the unloading team itself noted and emphasized the lack of professionalism of the loading team. They take no responsibility even if the damage resulted from their lack of care and professionalism.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! -we were moving from Winnipeg to Ottawa. A three bedroom apartment. They give you a range of dates for pick up and delivery which is NOT FLEXIBLE. One day notice that they would be picking up our things so essentially had less than 24 hrs to pack. The driver was rude. Smoking within our premises and rushing and complaining about our items. They lost our couch cushions, damaged several items. Took them 8 weeks to get back to us about our claim and in the end, paid 30 bucks for items lost/damaged worth 500 bucks! They wouldn’t give us 20 mins to go to the bank to get a certified cheque even though we gave them cash in hand . Driver threatened to leave with our items! Keep in mind, they did not honor the scheduled delivery date because of a broken down truck. We didn’t get any notice of the change in the date! I had to call to confirm the night before only to find out they weren’t coming. Terrible company only looking out for their interests Very regretful experience

I recently moved from Winnipeg, Manitoba to Ottawa, Ontario. With only 2 weeks notice, and some research with other moving companies and self-moving through van rentals, I decided to go with Atlas to complete my out-of-province move. Despite the negative reviews (like there always is with moving companies it seems- perhaps a social commentary on the priorities of individuals and lack of foresight on what must go on in order to complete such a daunting task of moving), the company did not disappoint me. I dealt with the Winnipeg office, as that was where my belongings would be picked up. First positive note; the representative there, Pamela, was more than accommodating and swift to respond at my every correspondence. Secondly, the company kept me posted when my belongings left Winnipeg and then again the day before they were to arrive at my new address in Ottawa. Third, the moving men were incredibly friendly, swift, and careful with my belongings. Had I been in a more stable financial situation, I would have tipped them (or attempted to, not sure on that policy!) Fourth, the price was competitive with industry, and cheaper/less hassle than my van rental research deemed. Fifth, I WILL return to this company should I relocate (over great distance) in the future, and would also recommend it to friends, family, and acquaintances alike. Small disclaimer-- I am a recently graduated student, and I got a job out-of-province, to give some context about some of my comments.

When the final bill came it was higher than expected and they told me it reflected their internal tariffs which were not in the written agreement. If you want a company that has no regard for your possessions & then tells you "too bad" when they break items you carefully packed by shoving the cartons into spaces they don't fit & placing things upside down or sideways in their truck, leaves items in the wrong rooms even though the cartons are labelled on three sides, then this is the company for you!!!!! No apology from the owner of the company & no offer to actually repair all the damaged furniture (scratches in leather, lifts on wood furniture etc.). Boxes were crushed on the sides due to being forced into spaces they didn't fit. So they pay $.60 per pound per item except if you packed it & then it's just tough luck since it's somehow your fault your family heirlooms are crushed on one side. All I wanted was for them to apologize & repair the items they broke. Apparently that's too much to ask. I will NEVER even consider this company again. I would rather hire the kids in the neighbourhood & know the risk up front.

Our experience with this company was HORRIBLE. First, they claimed that they way overestimated our quote so there would be no surprises, but funnily enough the total came $200 shy of the original quote, and this was after selling almost half of our items (e.g., dressers, bed frames, mattresses, winter tires, patio furniture, etc.). Second, they damaged and lost many items. They even came without notice to the temporary rental we stayed and dumped a bunch of our gardening tools in the backyard over the fence they had forgotten to give us - this was after we had already moved out. Third, they had come the day before and tagged some of our items, but we hadn't finished packing so they said they would tag the rest the following day (which they didn't), and those were the items lost in the move so we weren't even able to file a claim because we didn't have the tag numbers. Finally, they were completely unresponsive to phone and email (and their Facebook page), claiming they'd follow up and we'd never hear back. It was a terrible mistake paying this company this much money for the horrendous, unprofessional service they delivered. We've now finally given up after 6 months of constant followup with them only to receive no compensation. All we can do now is encourage others not to waste their money on Atlas Van Lines. If we could give zero stars, we would.

Movers showed up very late. But the guys were super nice when they did show up. If you want an accurate quote you have to tell them exactly what you are taking. Some of their estimated weights for items are a bit far fetched. Edit: be careful with this company. I think if you have a small move you'd be ok. But we had to store our shipment with them for a few months. The storage charges are high. Our shipment arrived with damaged boxes. And they only ship to Nova Scotia on certain days.

Would like to express my gratitude to such a wonderful company and a superb moving team. Especially for a cross country move from Calgary to Vancouver which is a thousand km apart and anything could happen along the way. My search started with three quotes and the agent from AMJ Campbell (Atlas agency company) stand out from the crowd. Pauline is very professional and courteous, take the time to hold our hand through the whole process. She respond to all my info request promptly. I dropped by the office to pick up boxes for the move, all the people I met are very helpful and friendly. I cannot ask for move for the moving process. The specialist, Bruce, arrived with his team at the time they promised. After walked through the whole house, they put down the runner and get the job done under 2 hours and everything is handled with great care. He then phoned us ahead to arrange for the delivery time at BC. This is important to us as we are moving to a condo and the strata is really tight on the moving time slot. Once again his team did a wonderful delivery. Then come the pricing equation. It is not cheap as it is a thousand km move, and I am pleasantly surprised by the finally cost. I think it is very reasonable and every dim is well spend. It is cheaper than I move it myself if you count your own sweat labour and all the logistics, and they are professionals. The after sale service run smoothly too. I got my final bill promptly after the move with all costs itemized. And I also got my aeroplan point credit to my account within a couple of weeks. Overall, I am super happy with the service provided at such a reasonable price. I will definitely call on them if my need arise. Thank you so much to take a heavy load off my shoulder. A great and wonderful team. This is my personal experience and hope not to set them up for such a high expectations.

We did experience some minor delays due to the movers workloads and weigh scale closures but the moving team kept in contact with us to give us advance notice of any thing amiss. That was service. The team moved our household effects with care and worked tirelessly to ensure that our things were protected and safely moved. No major damages occurred. The moving team leader had an extra crew arrive at our new location to help with the unloading to ensure that the delivery date was met. Upon our arrival into Halifax we were informed that our belongings have not yet made it out of Thunder bay... this was very disappointing... but Atlas compensated us for the delay generously and responded to all of our emails and calls promptly. They were very empathetic the whole time and as much as we were very disappointed at first they still kept us impressed. These things happen and Atlas handled the situation quickly and professionally. All of our belongings arrived to our new home with zero damage. I will use Atlas for my next move in the future! Working with Atlas agents (specifically Jay's Moving agents) was like visiting an island of calm in a storm of chaos. The agent we dealt with was clear, communicative, patient, and friendly. I would give the company 5 stars except the loader was less respectful of our belongings than I would have liked. He was rough, tipped a bin and spilled it's contents and just repacked it without checking in or saying sorry, didn't follow clearly labelled instructions (like pictured: tipping a "this way up" box on it's side), and stacked boxes high without adequately considering weight distribution (thus all but one of our bins came back completely crushed). Luckily the contents of our boxes/bins were not damaged, but the behaviour raises concerns.

We are never excited about moving because, based on past experiences, we always find that we are missing things after delivery, there are always some damaged items and, there always seem to be unexpected additional moving charges. Well, none of these things happened when we entrusted our move from Fredericton, NB to Regina, Sask in August, 2018 to Atlas Canada. I must have contacted 15 or more moving companies before selecting Atlas Canada. Their agent in NB, Premiere Van Lines, was just wonderful to deal with. Operations Manager Amanda Scrimgeour made me feel comfortable from the first contact. The men who picked up our belongings were courteous, respectful, professional and treated our belongings as if they were their own. The two men who delivered them were equally as good. What was a surprise to us was that we received every single box that was picked up, there was no damage to any of them and we were charged exactly the amount quoted. What a wonderful experience we had using Atlas to move my 85 year old mother from the Niagara region in Ontario out to Calgary! Timing was everything in this move for my mother, because of moving from a home of 42 years to retirement home can be quite emotional for a senior. Right from first contact, Gerry McKenzie, our sales specialist in Burlington, worked with us on the timing and returned all emails and calls promptly. He was very professional and upfront with us on all costs involved. The packer arrived the day before the loaders and you could tell it wasn't his first rodeo, he was amazing. I should tell him all, china and breakables arrives in one piece. Both Terel (the awesome driver)and Tom arrived on time to cautiously wrap and load the furniture. We also added another curve to our situation and have two ship to addresses. in Calgary. Terel took the time to ensure all items were loaded accordingly. We were in contact with Terel throughout the move which made our delivery on the other end seamless at both addresses. All people involved in our move were not only professional but took pride in their work. I highly recommend Atlas! Thanks for making my Mom's move seamless!

Atlas significantly damaged my fridge and freezer 6 months ago and they have not been able to fix them yet. The damage was due to inept loading and padding and the non-existent repair is due to carelessness. The claims agent even told me the appliances are "functional enough". During the move they also damaged at least a dozen other major items.... it also turns out you cannot have four dudes running/pushing a tool box like a bobsled... who knew?

I just had a run in with one of your driver's. He had parked his big semi right in front of my driveway of my house. When I asked them to move there rig they got very rude with me. I do know the name of the driver. When is it o.k. to park in front of some ones driveway with out permission and they didn't have permission. I would say never o.k. to park in front of some ones driveway with out permission. I would not use this company after this incident. Next time I will just phone the cops on them and they can answer to them. Please stay away from this business.

Move from Ontario to New Brunswick. Our driver was very efficient but unfortunately did not believe in getting the COVID vaccine OR wearing a mask. We were encouraged to have our TVs packed by the agent as they would not be responsible for damage if we packed them. One did not work upon its arrival. They refused to compensate or to at least reimburse the packing fee as there was no obvious damage. We would not recommend this company and should have gone with Allied.

We have used Atlas twice now moving from southern Ontario to Montreal and back again. The movers were excellent both times. Very thorough, careful and respectful. Our only issue was one that is specific to the city of Montreal and the recommendation to pay for no parking signs to be put up to ensure that the truck will have easy access to park in front of your home. This is not a cheap thing to opt for as it typically runs in the $3-400 range. Both times even though we had opted for the signs to be erected they were not. The first time we were fully reimbursed, the second, we received only the amount from the sign company and not the admin fees that Atlas charges despite having direct discussions and several emails about this matter. In my opinion, the company is responsible for the service they provide and if it isn't provided then the customer shouldn't be paying for it. Despite this one glitch that as I said is specific to Montreal, I highly recommend their movers and their prices are the most competitive I have found.

Worst experience with this company. They lied that they will pack my sofa, mattress in their storage and when I received it , it was all tear off without any packing. Broke my crokery ( pic attached ) missed my 65 inch TV stand, table glasses, cratched my all furniture. Lost my 2 boxes of winter clothings. When I claimed, after 3 months, they sent me an email that my balance is -220 CAD means I have to pay them for missing my things. Rubbish. They are non professional, only want to grab money without any reponsibility. Never recommend to any one.

We had used Atlas for an International move 20 years ago and remembered what a good experience it was so decided to use them again. We were pleased with the exceptional customer service we received and attention to detail. We had excellent service from every member of the team involved from the sales office, local office, packers and the driver who took our furniture cross country and delivered it. Our driver called me two days before delivery and was very professional. I was not at the delivery location at the time of delivery and had a friend accept furniture at my house. My driver set up my furniture from my instructions and kept me informed along the way. He even sent me pics! He was amazing. I would definitely use Atlas again because I trust them!

The saddest experience with the delivery of my cargo. This is a scheme for getting your money. Yes, the company delivers the goods, but you don’t know when you know the real price, you don’t when you know the real weight, you won’t be able to control it if you can’t weigh every item at home (this is what the company can indicate your load to receive your money). The company sends you an offer with a minimum price, but when your cargo is already in the process, you get a price three times higher, and you won’t be able to check whether this price is honest or not. The cargo is reloaded several times, the company does not bear responsibility for your cargo, I received my cargo with damage, and my cargo was much broken ... I had so much negative experience with this company that I didn’t even find out with them. I do not recommend using this company, try to find something else, if there are no options, then remember that you work with this company at your own peril and risk. And get ready to give the maximum payment.

Edit: As I have received a reply from the company, I want to update my review. I don't have any photographic evidence connecting the movers and the truck to the company. The movers were wearing Atlas uniforms so I have no reason to doubt they worked for Atlas. Checkered Flag (the company on the truck) is a rental company that rents their trucks out. Didn't use their moving service but had an encounter with them. I live on a small street and these guys had parked their truck blocking the entire street. It's 6pm and I'm trying to get home from work but I can't get past the truck. The first two guys I talked to were very unprofessional and rude. They told me "too bad. We're here for another hour and we can't move it" and just left. The third guy was a bit better. He said he can't move it but offered to help guide me through the narrow space. "it's okay. Lots of people have made it through" (as if that makes it okay to block the street). I eventually got through but even so, it was very inconvinient and the narrow space was very dangerous. If I had gone a few inches in the wrong direction, I would've hit the curb or the truck. The truck said checker flag and I asked if he worked for them. He said no and that he worked for a moving company. I saw on his shirt that it said Atlas. These guys were very unprofessional and if they're the kind of people who works for this company, then I think you should rethink hiring them. If you can't trust them to park properly and respectfully, then how can you trust them with handling your belongings?

Everyone was very nice and polite from booking to unloading except for one guy on the loading end who had a real attitude problem. He didn't like where he was told to park by both us and the building super and didn't like the condo rules that everything goes out through the garage and was snarky about everything there after to the point of doing rude gestures behind our backs but we caught him and couldn't believe he or anyone would do that in response to a simple question. The crew on the unloading end were very professional and worked well as a team.

June 13, 2019 they picked up my stuff for storage. June 28, 2019 they delivered my stuff. The delivery people were terrible, I had to tell them several times to not throw things that are marked fragile. One of my lamps was tossed and shattered. So many things were broken dented, no care was taken with this move. I contacted Jenn and was informed I had 10 days To fill out a form for compensation. I did so, and it’s been two months now and no response. I have not heard from the claims adjuster. Very very poor customer relations. Don’t trust your valuables to these people.

Overall my experience dealing with Atlas has been sub par. For a company that boasts some of the best customer service I believe that to be false advertising. Don't get me wrong the guys who moved everything were super professional, on time, diligent and effective. My issue stems from trying to make a claim for damaged items. I had a dining set and china cabinetthat was approximately 70 years old moved across the country and in the process there was some damage to the glass of the China cabinet and table. This was in October, I contacted them right away and started my claim. It says you should hear something within 7 business days I believe. I heard nothing, sent multiple emails, called customer service and my claims adjustor multiple times leaving multiple messages. I never heard anything back about my claim. I finally heard back and received a claim offer that hardly seems sufficient for the damage and there was no effort made to get it fixed. I am in the process of doing this myself, and had I known they were not going to do it I would have started much earlier than waiting the almost 4 months to hear back from the adjuster. As I said previously I have no complaints about the movers themselves, it's the claims department once something is damaged that seems its like pulling teeth. I have requested to be contacted by a member of management so we will see if this happens.

Used this company to move from Edmonton to Montreal. The initial contact with the Edmonton Agent was very good (Stallion), professional and courteous sales agent, answered all questions and respond back very quickly. But in the end, the move was not done by them. AMJ Campbell showed up to do the packing, the 2 packers were quick and courteous, no damage to the stuff they packed and nothing missing, just a bit disorganized, some boxes were not labeled at all and some others were not labeled properly, so on delivery, we were not sure in which room they went or what was in some boxes until they were opened. The pickup team arrived over 2 hours late and they were only 2 (I was used to a team of 3 in the past), so it took a long time to wrap and take all the furniture. The arrival team came within the scheduled timeframe, but once again was only a team of 2, so took all day to bring everything in, so you need to have a lot of patience. Two pieces of furniture were damaged sometime in the transition, plus several scratches to the hard wood floor on arrival, so have to go through the pain of a claim. The unpacking team was a team of 3, they were quick and took everything out no issues. You get charged the moment they have a final weight, in my case about 1 week before delivery. The final bill was a bit higher than the quote (they used more boxes to pack, and the fuel surcharge was a higher rate). All in all not a great experience compared to a prior long-term move which went very well with a different company. Had an uncomfortable feeling from the initial pickup to the final delivery.

I don't know where to start with this company. I initialy booked with an other company (King's transfer) which is an affiliate company and it seems pretty fine at the beginning. The pick up went pretty good but the problems came at delivery. The delivery team arrived to my appartment trying to add bill me for a shuttle service as their truck didn't fit in the unloading dock but they knew this information since the begining. They lost one of my box during the move. Also, most of my boxes were ripped and crushed. I took the time to identify the top of each boxes to make sur that the things in there wouldn't be upside down and shaken too much. I believe the team who loaded the truck didn't know how to read has the boxes were upside down and lot of the stuff was crushed. The wardrobe boxes looked like accordions. The goods in there add stains on them and had to send most of them to the dry cleaner. Our furniture which was suppose to be wrapped and wasn't, had some chips on them. The freezer handle got broken. I tried to get any compensation for the situation but no one from the claims department called be back. It's certainly not a way to threat customers. With this kind of service, for sure that they're too busy. They amount of claims that they receive is probably huge... Even if this company seems cheaper at the begining, please make sure to never make business with them unless you want to have bad experience.

We had a very large move from Toronto to the Okanagan valley, BC, which took most of a 40 footer. They pack in 2days and the truck arrived at the new home within a week. The truck didn't fit in our driveway and the mover rented two smaller trucks to move our things the 50 m. They offloaded in ½ day. We recently moved from Burlington, Ontario to Nova Scotia at the end of March 2020. We spoke to many moving companies and had numerous quotes and were very nervous as we’ve heard horror stories about long distance moves gone wrong. After much research, we decided on King’s Transfer Van Lines/Atlas Van Lines and worked with Nigel and we are so happy to say, that even during a pandemic and a cross multiple province move, everything went off without a hitch! Nigel ALWAYS retuned my calls within a reasonable amount of time and answered all my questions. The final price came in very close to what was quoted and yet much lower than other companies. Most moving companies charge by weight and our experience was that they quote a jacked up weight guesstimate and then they introduce tiered pricing so that if your weight is actually lower than what they estimated it to be the price does not change that much whereas King’s Van lines, namely Nigel, estimated very close to accurate weight once everything was weighed at the weigh -station. Our only negative would be that we found them to be a little rough with our boxes (although I now realize how I could have packed better to make their job easier) and there was one scratch on a desk and cigarette butts left in our driveway. Overall we were very happy and highly recommend them.

The drivers ended up being like family members -- keeping in touch with us as the truck made its way through Ontario and Quebec. I have had an absolute nightmare experience with Atlas Van Lines AMJ Campbell Pembroke. On the first leg at pick-up, the crew arrived 7 hours late and loaded my boxes and some furniture along with a huge snowblower without any ramp; things were hauled up the truck!!! Delivery, a month later is tomorrow and there has been no communication, no response to emails, nothing!! After the first disaster, you would think that they might have the message that their service is way below standard, but it appears NOT. AMJ Barrie, however, was stellar on my last move ... fantastic company. But Pembroke? Not even close!

Worst experience ever!! Having been in the moving business myself years ago, I can honestly say this was a nightmare. Never EVER use them directly or an affiliate company (as they wash their hands of it all). Cost me a small fortune and the service was horrendous. It would have been cheaper for me to rent a U-Haul from NS to QC and fly in my friends from QC to drive the truck back! That’s how horrifying the whole experience was. Not a single box isn’t squished, caved in or demolished (and that’s mostly what my load was). Boxes of books were stacked on top of dishes, every box was either stacked on its side or upside down and the few pieces of furniture I have was either damaged or had coffee and food containers in them or coffee stains on them (I’m actually curious as if there was a food fight in the truck while my stuff was in it) I am appalled that such a big company can be so blatantly careless about people’s items. “Fragile” and “This side up” apparently do not exist in the Atlas Van Lines dictionary. My one recliner chair was ripped in 3 places. The inside of my fridge has been broken (can’t figure that one out) and to top it off; they caused damages to the house they delivered to because they were running in and out and being so careless. I’ve yet to open the box containing the 50” Smart TV and am afraid to do so at this point. The one who broke things actually dropped boxes from the poorly stacked dolly right in front of us and said “oh! My bad” and then just tossed the box on top of another pile! If you’re doing a long haul move, don’t deal with Mackie Moving Systems or AMJ Campbell as they are affiliated with Atlas. I am HORRIFIED

Unbelievably rude. A very easy move everything was unpacked and in one room. It was arrange for pick up on the 30th and delivery to my new home on the 5th of August. I phoned on the 4th as I hadn't heard from them re delivery time for the 5th. They said all vans had gone out and I had requested storage not delivery. This was all arranged through a person called Lexi. I had to go two days without my belongings sleeping on the floor. I had to pay up front or they wouldn't deliver. They clearly overcharged my weight . Boxes were squashed marked fragile and all glasses and China smashed. Wheels on bedframe broken off. I asked to speak to a manager and noone would speak to me. Don't use this company. It's an experience I am still trying to recover from so upsetting. RUDE and unprofessional and scam you by overcharging from original quotes.

They were great - professional and helpful despite the price being very low (they did truck sharing move). Cody was the point man for the move. So yeah, HIGHLY recommended.

Montreal office! I received a call as a follow up on request for estimation. I did not appreciate the tone and the impatience of the "gentleman" on the other side of the line. If they are not nice while arranging an appointment for an estimation, imagine what will happen if something goes wrong during the moving process with your belongings at their mercy! Looking at other reviews, it seems like I dodged a bullet!

Terrible experience. Many boxes went missing, we found 2 because they were delivered to someone else’s house, and had our private and personal information inside the box so the people reached out to us. We have beds that couldn’t be put together because of missing pieces, shelves missing from bookshelves, our new mattress is warped and springs crushed inside it etc etc.... thousands of dollars worth of our belongings have just disappeared. We waited months for our claim to be reviewed to find out they only pay a claim by weight. This means a box filled with cake decorating supplies worth hundreds of dollars is paid out at next to nothing because of weight? Unless we have a receipt for everything in the box? Ok who would have that?! Nobody contacted us for months, and we kept reaching out. Finally contacted a supervisor to only receive an email with a payout amount from the original person working our file. The whole experience was terrible and I would never recommend anyone use this company.

The experience we had was very good and I would recommend using them to anybody looking for a professional, organised, thoughtful crew. We moved from Ontario to Nova Scotia and even with the lockdown the schedule was perfectly executed. Everyone from the estimation and delivery We're very courteous and professional. Hopefully this was my last move and I won't have to Do anything but recommend this company for others That require moving.

Drivers are pushy at pick up and delivery. Staff are not full time, therefore do not care about damaging the cargo. Most of my items got damages at the warehouse during transfer. Some boxes got mixed. Was missing couple boxes and got someone's TV in error. Take pictures before pick up and write your name on each box. Make sure they place tracking number on every box and items that are not in boxes.

Troy Nesbitt should Not be sending customers "Without Prejudice" letters that legally mean Nothing! A cowardly incompetent way to Try & Justify missing boxes! These were noted the day of delivery! We were offered to keep someone else's boxes instead? Great Job! See you all in court! Your reviews are evident that this Has to be taken further!

Terrible service! Moved us to BC from Ontario. Upon arrival we put our belongings into storage for 2 months while we purchased a house; when we opened our boxes we found several boxes crushed and all of our belongings inside shattered and broken, we had a missing bed, several missing boxes and items that did not belong to us. When we made a complaint to the sales person, he did not respond to us however someone from the claims department emailed and said we were past the thirty days and there was nothing they would do. Terrible experience and I would warn everyone to stay away from this company.

Good service. They should leave the cords attached to the item it was attached to. It's not easy putting things together for the elderly trying to figure out how to make things work. I have been struggling to find things and the cords they need. ...

We moved Ontario to Nova Scotia in April 2018. We got our quote in December 2017 and all three companies we received quotes from were within $400. Bobbi-Jo Pitre from Coborn's transport (a division of Atlas who came to do the quote) was excellent. House was listed in Feb 2018, sold in March 2018. Once we had a date, we got everything signed and set. We were moving our items into storage in NS and the delivery address reflected that. We arrived in NS in May 2018 and did not see our items until June 2018 (weren't getting new home until July 2018). Our items were tossed into the unit upside down, in pieces, and just an overall mess. We received compliments on moving day how well packed, labelled and organzied we were (maybe doesn't mean much from movers who were HIGH as kites). Many items stored upside down, completely damaged or missing (area rugs, bed rails, etc.) This is NOT why we chose Atlas. If I wanted this experience I would have cheaped out on this move. We treated those movers to tons of food and an excellent lunch as they loaded our belongings. Our claim period was extended beyond the 60 days given the circumstances of us not being in the province after we saw the mess of the unit in June 2018. I made the claim one business day after we moved in July 2018. My claim was denied, then after speaking with an Atlas employee (Miranda Coffie) she said she would look into things and was very empathetic to all that had happened. She left things another few weeks, and when I followed up we got bumped up/escalated. Deny claim #2 on account of items being moved into storage and that voids ability to make claim. And again heard the 60 days out of delivery date. We made a $5300 claim on a $7500 move. We have a non working freezer, broken TV, missing and damaged items. I think there have been errors made on both sides, but the lack of acknowledgement on the men that moved and stole our items, high as kites and how items were left in storage. BEWARE. No one should have to deal with this foolishness. I will speak of this experience as much as I can moving forward. Justine MacIsaac

We moved from Ottawa to PEI. Packed our own stuff. The move itself was great. Dereck and his colleague showed up in the morning. They were very efficient yet carefully with our stuff. They did a tiny scratch on the wall and Dereck come to let me know right away. They were awesome. The admin stuff was fine. I got a 24h notification that the crew will come. But I called a week earlier trying to get confirmation. Also, you just get billed at the end by their head office no question asked. I think it would be a better process to actually present the invoice. But overall great, I would recommend!

The items arrived earlier than expected (Mar 3 pick up in Ontario, received Mar 27 in BC), but was sort of shocked the moving fellows didn’t wear any masks and just came into the house without any regard for COVID measures (I’m chronically ill). The website says the movers “Practice Social Distancing (no), Sanitize their Trucks, Wear Appropriate PPE (no), Assure their Crew are Healthy” which is important to us.

Everything started just fine. We had no problems with the agent that we coordinated our move with and we were very pleased until the actual move happened. Besides the move, we requested the service of packing. Everything seemed fine, but as we were unpacking you can see the guys did a really poor job. First of all, they took way longer than promised and it was like they got bored. Within the same box, they packed a few glasses from the kitchen, a bag from the closet, some decor from the living room, and it was just a mess in every single of the boxes. Which obviously all the "labeling" was wrong because the mixed everything. Also, they did not packed certain items because they didn't have the right boxes/tools (understandable) and told us that they were going to communicate with the office to make sure they brought the right stuff to pack the remaining items when the movers come. Moving day came and the movers had absolutely no knowledge of the items that weren't packed properly, so they did not bring the proper materials to do so. They promised it was going to be fine, so we just let them work. They ended up taking double the amount of time as promised. Once our things got delivered, we noticed that some of our things were just shoved in the vaults and several things got damaged. We submitted a claim and didn't hear a single response until 6 weeks later, and only because we reached out one of our contacts in high management. They refused to pay for one of our monitor screens that they cracked (which was in fact one of the items they didn't properly packed and it was just wrapped on the blanket) We requested for that to be paid as well and no answer since. It has been 2 months now since we submitted our claim and NOTHING has resolved and they haven't even paid us the initial amount they told us they were going to pay to deal with our damages. This was a move that cost us over $10K and we had insurance on it! And they can't answer one simple e-mail or phone call. WORST COSTUMER SERVICE EVER!!! Specially coming from their Claim Department. Never again, and definitely telling all of our contacts to not hire them.
