I recently used Armstrong for an international move. They answered all of my questions promptly and were able to easily coordinate a date and time for my move. The packers loaded things efficiently and the unload was even faster. As someone else noted, there was a lot of paper used to wrap up my items which I was able to recycle later. Overall had a quality experience with Armstrong.

I am so happy I was able to use this company and they even shipped my plants which I didn't think would make it. Incredible service from start to finish! I moved from Ottawa to Toronto, and I had the best experience. Armstrong Moving were not only prompt in their responses, but someone was constantly checking in during the move. One of their representatives began with a video call and estimate, the move date was set up within 3 days of my first call with them. Like most movers, what the Move managers say, and what the truck drivers say are totally misaligned. We moved from Toronto to Halifax. We could not get a delivery date confirmed until 2 days after they loaded our things. This is ridiculous. Them move managers insist that you stand at the truck and check off everything that comes off. The driver tells you that will make his work twice as long and to trust him that all your things are there and safe. I had someone contact me 2 days after the truck was unloaded and asked "how is your unload going today"? She had no idea that the load was delivered 2 days ago. Drivers are more interested in unloading and moving on than they are for the client , who is all ready very stressed. We paid over $650 for packing materials, we didnt use it all but yet they kept the remaining materials that we will need for our next move. I wouldn't use this mover again.

My partner and I were very impressed with the professionalism of the team and the speed they were able to pack up our storage unit. We were greeted kindly and they got to work immediately packing and surveying for fragile items. We appreciated them taking the time to know the items they were moving but most importantly what needed to be treated with extra care when a piece had sentimental attachment to us. My experience with Armstrong was very good. Moving continents is stressful and Armstrong took some of the stress away by carefully taking care of all my goods, from packing to delivering. My moving manager Brittani was very patient and was open to hearing out to each of my concerns. They provided periodic updates and even contacted on weekends to ensure that I received my shipment on time. A very reliable set of people. My experience with Armstrong moving is a very positive one. We were assigned a manager, Cheryl, who was our contact person through out the move. She answered our many questions and was always in contact with us to update us on any development. On the day of the packing/moving and unpacking, she also called to make sure all was going well. The packers and movers listened to our concerns and took them into consideration while packing and moving our things. They were very very professional and quick too; I was amazed at how quickly our things were packed and moved into the truck. They obviously have been doing this for a long time; nothing was damaged in the move.They did use a lot of paper while packing which I understand was necessary to ensure our things didn't get damaged. I was relieved to hear that the paper was recycled paper which we in turn recycled after unpacking. The unpacking at our destination was also very very quick. I HIGHLY recommend Armstrong moving for your moving needs.

Everything worked out ok-- when our items arrived everything was in good condition and the unloading was smooth. However, we were given a two-week long delivery window and were told they could not guarantee a delivery date. We left Calgary to get to Toronto by the beginning of the delivery window. By the time we received an estimated date (at the very end of the window), we had already arrived. Then we spent two weeks in a hotel during a pandemic lockdown waiting for a confirmed date. The truck showed up three days after the end of the delivery window, over three weeks since our belongings were picked up. This resulted in significant expense, stress, and health risk. If we had been told the delivery would take three weeks, we would have stayed in a safer place instead of rushing to arrive by the beginning of the delivery window. The delivery window is too long, and the communication about the delivery was non existent, which left us in a really challenging situation.

I was brought to Armstrong via my professional affiliation. I was under the impression that due to our professional bargaining agreement, members would receive a discounted rate. Even though the Armstrong employees I spoke with were professional and courteous, the discounted quote given to me was disconcertingly high for a local move, even when comparing with similarly sized competitors. I emailed back to ask some questions regarding the quote, but I did not receive an answer. I decided to go with another company after that experience. Hopefully others have better luck!

We have moved 6 times in the past 15 years for corporate relocations. I can easily say this was by far the best packing/moving/relocating experience we've experienced. The crews working to pack/unpack load/unload at both ends were great to work with. Our driver, Graham, was easy to communicate with, kept us informed along his drive, and was very professional. The support teams they have at their head office remained in constant contact with us along the way to answer questions and helped us fill out difficult international paperwork (We relocated from Toronto to California., so we had forms for customs and vehicles, etc.). The entire team worked to make our move as stress free as possible. As a small side note: our 2nd best move was from Florida to Toronto two years prior, and guess who we used on that relocation? Armstrong Moving! Thank you Armstrong for all the effort in making our long relocation a positive experience!

Armstring handled my international move from Switzerland to Canada, as well as moving contents locally from a storage unit into my house. I chose Armstrong simply because my employer offered direct billing with them. I was very pleased with the whole process. I was assigned a manager who oversaw the whole process--he liaised with a Swiss company to assess, pack, and remove my items and stayed informed during tue whole process. In Canada, Armstrong facilitated the customs and importation process (still had to go to customs) and were very quick to get my contents moved into my house. Moving team was very fast, clean, and professional. Nothing was broken and all our items are accounted for. Our local move was a similar experieince. I was not present for any of it, but the movers packed up my storage unit, delivered and unloaded it in record time. Would move with Armstrong again.

They quickly gave us a quote for the move, worked quickly to pack our things in California, let us know exactly where our things were the whole time, and delivered our items quickly and with no damage in Ontario. Armstrong/United moved me from Mississauga to Moncton. I comparing 13 movers and looking for great reviews (Google + Homestars), BBB (profile + membership), and CAM membership. Then price of course. That got me down to 2-3. I started with another mover but due to a pricing misunderstanding, jumped to Armstrong/United. They made it happen: Sonia was a delightful move manager, Eduardo was an amazing onsite prime, and his team were courteous and hardworking despite crazy humidity and 25oC weather. The loading was especially quick since my wife was super-prepared which made their job easier. There was a delay en route but Sonia was conciliatory and kept me updated. She sub'd the work to a good local company for the unload and they did a great job too. The new house is in a court so getting a ridiculously big semi trailer turned around looked impossible but they did it. They patiently put up with some conflicting directions we provided...sorry guys! If I had it to do again, I'd save time and call Armstrong/United.

I am very impressed with the level of service of Armstrong Moving. I just moved from Ontario to Florida and they have been amazing throughout the entire time: from the quote estimate to the delivery. Before finding this company I contacted around 20 moving companies, some were cheap but had many negative reviews, only 2 companies had positive reviews, but their prices were too high for my budget. Do not use this company they will do the same to you, moving is difficult you don't need additional stress. Their fees for the move ending up costing more than my furniture.

I'm extremely pleased with the service I received from Armstrong. I moved from Montreal to Denver in November, and all my things arrived in perfect condition in a relatively timely manner. I was nervous about choosing a moving company because you hear so many horror stories. I chose Armstrong because they are used by the University of British Columbia to relocate new professors that they hire - so I figured they would be a good choice and they were. I was assigned a move coordinator who was very responsive and answered my thousands of annoying questions in a timely and courteous manner. She walked me through the import paperwork for my international move - it was extremely easy. I never felt like I was being left in the dark and they pretty much took care of everything. Price-wise, I got quotes from about 6 companies and only one was significantly cheaper (but the company was terribly reviewed). Something worth noting is that the initial quotes were comparable, but the big difference with Armstrong is that the price quoted was what it cost - there weren't a bunch of extra fees tacked on later. My move coordinator talked me through everything and was very up front about the pricing. The movers on both sides showed up on time, and were friendly and courteous. I will definitely choose Armstrong for my next move!

In contrast, Armstrong was very professional and courteous. Cheryl kept us informed at every stage of the move and at no point was I worried that our stuff wouldn't reach us in time. Also, the movers were conscious of covid related protocols (a big concern for us), wore masks and maintained a reasonable distance. I would strongly recommend Armstrong for all moves.

We used Armstrong Moving for an international move from Edmonton to the Boston, MA area. It was a BIG move and we had many moving parts relocating from Canada back to the US and during the pandemic! Jamie Wong was our main contact and he reassured me along the way that he had things under control...and he did ! Along with his team, Jamie communicated clearly, set expectations and delivered a smooth transition. Moving internationally is expensive and they weren't the lowest cost, but we didn't have anything to repair, we had some items delivered to an apartment and some to storage. He coordinated it all, down to the local movers. I would highly recommend this team !

I had availed their service for helping with my move from US to Canada. All the steps were very smooth and well-coordinated. The coordinator Laura had always been responsive to questions. The packing and unpacking processes were smooth and my items arrived without any damage. A few of my screws to assemble my furniture went missing; however, the crew help replace it. The only con was that my items were delayed by a few days more than the promised date, however, the company was quick to respond and intimate necessary steps for them to compensate for the additional expenses and inconveniences that resulted from it. So, overall it has been a 5-star experience

Rob Smith and his partner Tamara came to do a long distance move from Oakville Ontario to Rothesay New Brunswick. They were extremely careful with all our furnishings, everything was labeled and the truck was packed in a couple of hours. These guys were on point.We had other quotes to move and were told to expect to wait at least a week for our stuff to arrive, but when I asked Ron he told me it would be there by Monday morning ( we moved Friday) and it was! In New Brunswick Cherly was in communication with us, always kept us informed of when our belongings would arrive. The movers unloaded everything, they helped us assemble some of the furniture, they did not rush. We have no complains, it was an amazing experience, we are glad we used Armstrong Moving. I recently moved from Washington DC to Montreal PQ. The first thing I did was google Search “US to Canada movers”. Armstrong were the first that came up and had a brief chat with them. But I did my homework and tried either companies. Either they didn’t pick up, they transferred me to “god knows where” or told me had to call a broker in the US. It was beyond frustrating. So I went back to Armstrong and that was one of the best things I did for this move. They provided an initial quote based on the list of items I provided. However they also did a virtual tour of my home so they could see for themselves what the move entailed and I was assured of the move date I wanted. The final quote was more than reasonable (I had expected it to be more) Tho movers In the states were professional, friendly, kept me informed through the entire move and handled my items with care. I lived On the 3rd story of a walk-up and it was a very hot and muggy day but through it all they were friendly and courteous and I did not hear one complaint, which I would have done if I was me doing that lifting and climbing. One important thing I should mention was this move was done in June 2020, right in the middle of the Covid pandemic. The first thing the movers told me was that they were all tested that day and they were “good to go” A family member collected my items in Montreal because I was not available and her feedback on Armstrong were exactly the same as mine. I worked with Amanda and Steve through the whole process and they were responsive and quick to relieve and concerns I had with moving across the border. There is a lot of stress moving, especially I international , but having expert movers took some of that stress awaY I have had 3 long distance moves in my life, two of the them international and by far the move with Armstrong was my best experience. I highly recommend them, you won’t regret that decision.

Wonderful experience with Allan and Alexis' crew and would love to work with them again for future moves. Recommended them highly to other friends who might be moving in the near future. My only disappointment was my contact in the office had promised mattress bags would be provided for my mattresses during the move and I could keep these bags to use for future moves when re-booking their services. These bags were not provided nor used. I do not hold the actual team responsible for this oversight, but feel disappointed that the office did not deliver services as they had promised.
