So I've moved more than anyone I know.. and naturally I have plenty of experience with movers. I've used moving services approximately 20+ times, so I feel I'm uniquely qualified to write this review. First thing that comes to mind is that they were ON TIME. This is the first time in my many years of moving about the world that movers have actually been punctual. This is a highly professional team of guys that are friendly but no nonsense. They work together very well as a team and work very efficiently. I've had so many awful experiences with movers in the past that working with ACM was just like a breath of fresh air. Prices are very good, and the team is very accommodating regarding personal preferences (my move was a bit more complicated than the usual because different stuff had to go to different places). I could go on, but I think you get my point. These are some of the best movers out there and I wouldn't hesitate for a second to engage their services in the future.

Moving can be a very difficult and stressful venture. I don't know too many people who feel better at day's end than when they started, but that was my experience today. What a pleasure to have this super friendly and extremely competent father and son team, of Shawn (forgive me if that isn't the correct spelling. I forgot to ask.) and Cameron, move us . They went above and beyond to make this move a gret experience for me. Arival time was exactly as planned, care taken with all items and suggestions provided when furniture didn't really work where I had pictured it. I'd highly recommend this company to any one.

The two movers were friendly, efficient and had a range of tools and equipment for every situation. They padded/wrapped every piece of furniture and everything arrived in the same condition as it was before it was packed. Nothing was too large (a 1930’s high boy) or too small (an empty wastebasket!) An Ikea bed’s “springs” fell apart (blame Ikea’s design) and while one patiently put it carefully back together, the other continued to unload. It was a pleasure working with B. & S.

Mark, Stephen and their crew made our move from our PEI home to Bedford NS a pleasant experience. The packers arrived on schedule and worked hard all day making sure every thing was packed properly. The next day Stephen and Mark loaded us up and taken to Bedford. They arrived on schedule to unload and everything was moved in with furniture being set up in the appropriate rooms. UPDATE: I just used Affordable Canadian Movers for the second time and the service was just as good as our first move. The pandemic caused my wife and me to change our plans and we have moved back from Charlottetown to Saint John. Of course, our first call was to Steven Rush at Affordable Canadian Movers. Steven again quoted me a fantastic fixed price for the move and two weeks of storing our belongings. Our movers, Shawn and Cameron, were a father/son team who did an incredible job of wrapping everything and performed our second move, like the first, with nothing broken or missing. They are extremely polite, efficient and professional. I could not imagine using any other moving company for any move to or from PEI. I have read so many news articles about dishonest movers holding people's belongings for ransom with bait and switch tactics, so what a refreshing experience to deal with a company that is exactly the opposite. Affordable Canadian Movers is a company of total integrity and professionalism. .......................................... Affordable Canadian Movers is the best moving company I have ever used, by a wide margin. If they were the same price as other movers I would have been happy with the service, but they were actually significantly less expensive than other quotes I received. For my move from Saint John, NB, to Charlottetown, PE, I obtained three quotes for both moving and storage, as my wife and I were moving into a new construction condo that was not built yet. Steven, from Affordable Canadian Movers, was the first to respond to my inquiries, made the quote process easy, and offered a price that was at least 30% lower than the other quotes I eventually received. The movers showed up on time, stored everything for five months and then even adjusted their delivery schedule to accommodate my move-in after there were delays caused by the home builder. The men that did the moving on both ends were courteous, hard working and very professional. I never met them personally, they dealt with my wife for both pickup and delivery, but she told me over and over again that they were amazing. They wrapped all our fragile items with their own materials, kept them wrapped during storage, and then unwrapped them at delivery. There was no extra charge for this. The price was exactly as quoted for both the move-out and storage, and even a little less than estimated for the move-in as the men worked very quickly. There were no surprises during this five month process, other than pleasant ones. Communication from Steven was superb, the movers were fantastic, and both my wife and I could not have been happier with how everything turned out. Whether your move is local or inter-provincial like ours was, I give Affordable Canadian Movers my absolute highest recommendation. And yes, I am a real paying customer.

Your items are all wrapped and placed in boxes and items like pictures and furniture are wrapped and everything is handled with extreme care and treated like their own. I can't say enough good things about this company. I called in a pinch, and they worked very hard to get me moved out fast. I bugged them a lot on the phone, and they were very kind and empathic. When the movers came, I believe their names were Nick and Shane, they were the best lads anyone could ask for, and I feel lucky. I really do. They were so polite and professional, courteous and gregarious. They were lovely to myself and my 72 year old mother. We didn't have to lift a thing. We had very valuable antique pieces of furniture and big pieces of art work, all of which meant a lot to our family. They listened to all our stories and took great care with each piece. Nothing got damaged which was a worry. They had roll out mats to not dirty the floor and they moved me at the tail end of a post tropical storm. They had everything needed like big blankets to wrap the art work, and they even moved Mom's old bed to the basement for her. I believe this company went above and beyond for me and went out of their way for me in ways I never had other moving companies do in the past. Even though I paid for the move and tipped....(don't forget to tip those lads people!)...I am going to pay it forward and pass on the kindness I received today to someone soon.

we were caught selling our house overnight and had 1 month to vacate.we called Affordable Canadian Movers and were very accommodating with dates and storage.They came in and packed for me and stored the furniture for 4 months.They delivered on date requested and unloaded truck quick and efficient. No breakage was found. Unpacking I found that they used lots of packing paper.All in all I found the moving of the furniture to be the least stress of the whole moving experience. I would totally recommend this company, and in the future I will use them again.

We moved on Aug. 28th, 2019. We only moved 2.4 klms. We had a five ton and two men to do the move. I have finally opened the last box. Well, I have never in all my moves had so much damage. I have packed and moved over two dozen times. I have been hired by other people to pack and move them. I have never seen so many broken items. I no longer have my individual blown glasses, platters, casserole dishes, etc.. Every box seemed to have been dropped or slamed into the truck space. I gave these two men drinks, lunch and asked if they wanted some furniture and other items. When I had to pay, I was told that the quote I was told was not right and they added twenty dollars an hour onto it. I paid cash and they counted it infront of me then went downstairs to leave. They then came back to me to ask for another hundred dollars as I hadn't given them enough. One man (Trevor)said I was wrong. Where he came from I don't know but wasn't here when I paid.The other man that quoted me the price on the phone three weeks before gave me a low price I could afford. I told everyone what he (Mark) said to me but all that changed on the day we moved. I will never use them again or recommend them to anyone. I have never received my receipt from them also. Not a good company at all

Wonderful. I had these guys move two family heirloom pianos and a massive antique butcher block for me, between three different locations. The locations were all rural (one involved backing up a LONG driveway) and all involved mud and steps and awkward old houses. The ACM staff were awesome... flexible, cheerful, fast, and very professional. They wrapped everything in pads and straps and I was literally amazed how quickly and easily everything was moved. Plus they charged me $200 less than the other companies I called. Couldn't be more thrilled. I will definitely call them again.

I used Affordable Canadian Movers to move locally in PEI back in November and the service was awful. I've moved locally before with another company, so I have something to compare them too - and I'd never get this company again, nor recommend them to anyone. First of all, they were half an hour late to show up to begin the move - despite my booking being the first of the day. Second, the movers themselves were young and unprofessional. They talked about their night out drinking whilst working - something I'd rather not have heard. They also took their good old time moving the furniture - not in any hurry despite being paid by the hour. Additionally, I made one of the workers aware of the structure of my bookshelf and how it had to be lifted to maintain the stability and the worker shrugged and said "Well we can only do so much yanno" - it was rather disrespectful to my self and my belongings that I was entrusting them with. When the move was completed and they were billing me - they charged my an additional half hour fee. When I questioned them about it - they said it was because they had to let the air brakes on the truck fill up for 15 minutes before departing and then the additional time it would take them to get back to the office - which was only 6-7 minutes away. They ran the truck for a total a five minutes before departing. Finally, they managed to scratch my wooden dinning table and take a significant chunk out of one of the chairs. I'm incredibly unsatisfied with their service, especially given their price (not cheap). I would not recommend - find someone else!
