Booked the company, told them every single item I had to move from my 1 bedroom walk up apartment. It took them 6 hours to move my one bedroom aparment out and an hour to move me into my 3 bedroom townhouse. 6 hours and over 1k to move a 1 bedroom apartment. I then called the company after the move to discuss and give them my feedback at how disappointed I was in the fact of the cost and time for that. They then said they would pass it on to their claims department, as I said I was disappointed that I paid for the almost 2 hours of breaks the movers took. I was unaware that I paid for their breaks as well. After they said they would send to tge claims department i heard nothing from them about it. I moved July 27th and its now August 28th and not a word. If you're looking to book a move, use someone else, hopefullt someone with more integrity than this company.

Don and Bruce were right on time and worked really hard to ensure my belongings were wrapped well and carefully moved. They were friendly and worked the entire time to get the job done in a timely manner.(I've had movers in the past that took several breaks on my dime) I thought the cost of the move was fair and none of my belongings were damaged. I initially had schedule a pick up date for the end of April, but had to change it to the end of May. I was then fortunate to find an apartment for May and requested the date be changed back. That's when things started going sideways. I contacted the owner and was met with a nonchalant attitude. When I requested a date, I was told sometimes before the 28th. I waited for a response...nothing. I then followed up the following week to see if I could get a date for pickup. I was then informed in that the owner would be in touch with a driver. Expecting to hear back regarding further details, I received nothing. I finally had had enough of the lack of communication and professionalism. I found another company and complained to the BBB. I also sent the owner an email cancelling my move. Now, I am being harassed by the driver on two occasions demanding I change my mind!! Clearly, the owner had not even told the driver of the cancellation! The drive then started soliciting me and offering a cheaper rate outside of the company and even telling me I should cancel the other company! Not only have I experience a lack of professionalism, but now harassment. I want nothing to do with this company! Horrible experience and can't be trusted.

Don't let the sales team fool you. We looked around for lots of quotes, and even though Two Small Men with Big Hearts was the most expensive, we booked them because of their excellent sales team. Sadly, what they promise is not what you will get. We had a terrible experience with them. Issues included them being over 2 hours late, we paid for them to move everything but they were so slow that we had to help. We probably did 30% of the moving ourselves. Even with our help it took 5-7 hours to move our 2 bedroom apartment. The worst part of the experience was how unprofessional the movers were. The two movers hated each other and wouldn't work together. One mover complained to me about the other mover the entire time. At one point they were screaming profanities at each other in my apartment lobby, and I felt like they may get into a physical altercation. I felt unsafe around them. One of the movers brought his dog which was bizarre. Lastly, they broke our $4,000 TV and ripped our mattress. We bought the best insurance they offer and for all the breakage and the terrible service they originally only offered us $300. We went back and forth and was able to get more of a refund, but not enough to cover the cost of the TV. We told them that the movers made us feel unsafe with their screaming at each other and they didn't seem to care. I would never recommend this service to anyone.

I recently hired "Two Small Men with Big Hearts" for a move from Edmonton to a town about an hour away. The two young men who handled the complete move were Marco & Anthony. These guys were just great. They worked efficiently, quickly, and thoughtfully, and were always positive and polite. I made some last minute requests regarding adding some unscheduled items and they accepted these changes without problem. They handled all the furniture and boxes with care. Marco was in charge and his knowledge and experience in the moving business was obvious. Both Marco & Anthony worked very hard the whole time without complaint. They had to do a drop-off of some of my items at a different location and again, this was done in a timely and professional manner. Once at the final destination, unloading was quick and smooth. My bed frame was reassembled and the box spring and mattress were placed on the frame without me having to ask. On unloading, all the boxes were put into the correct places as designated on each box. I found the moving costs to be fair and competitive. I was very satisfied with "Two Small Men with Big Hearts" performing my move. I have moved more than a dozen times and I found my move with this company (and Marco & Anthony more specifically), to be a very good experience. Although everyone's experience may differ, I heartily recommend "Two Small Men with Big Hearts."

Two Small Men with Big Hearts took care of my needs for a second time. Yet again - the moving crew was awesome and worked hard right until the last piece was delivered. The only thing I would recommend is an upgrade to the billing process as it was a little behind the times however; the entire team was excellent to deal with. Other than not booking the correct size of truck (which I recommend confirming at time of booking) they were able to move almost everything to our new home. I would book them again in the future as they were awesome to deal with.

My fiance and I live in a town house and one of there trucks was moving a couple across from us. They parked the truck right in front of our stall and we were unable to get in. My fiance asked for the them to move so he could park and then they could move back. The man said "no." For a company to have a name that states they have big hearts these men showed otherwise. The move was great but I am disappointed in the honestly of the movers. we provided all 3 movers with $20 each and after paying a bill of $850 and excepted since there is insurance for Damage they would let us know if something was broken.

They worked tirelessly to load all our belongings, and then drove 3 hours to our new home, where a third cheerful young man was brought in to help unload. would highly recommend this company. We were exceptionally pleased with the friendly and knowledgable moving service we received from Marco and Tarel. We had some issues with the elevator freezing in our old place and then in our new place the elevator key was unavailable so it was a very slow move on an exceptionally cold day. Both Marco and Tyson were demonstrating such great attitude and ability. Marco was a fantastic leader and was always very cognizant of being ergonomic and safe. It was probably twice as long of a day as everybody thought it would be, nearly 12 hours in total. But what can you do with edmonton weather! Thank you thank you great work and very happy!

Fantastic experience with Two Small Men With Big Hearts, Kelowna. We had our things in 2 different locations - an apartment and a storage unit. We needed to merge our things, store it for a month, and then have it shipped long distance to Edmonton a month later. The 2 movers arrived precisely on time, packed and moved all our items big or small, as if it were their own. A month later, today, our items were delivered to our new location in Edmonton, literally to the minute they were on time and very communicative. Knowing "things always break in a move" I was prepared for an item or 2 to be damaged, scuff, broken, chipped. To my surprise, NOT a single item fit that description. 3 movers on the Edmonton side, lead by Lou, were friendly, efficient, and handled all items with care. Thank you to all from the Kelowna 2 person moving crew, to the long-distance haulers, to the 3 person moving crew in Edmonton. A special thank you to the Edmonton crew of Lourik, Morgan, and John. They were able to load our things deep on the southside starting at 9:30 am, moved us all the way to North Edmonton, and were done and dusted by 1:30 pm. We had a great experience with this company from start to end. I'd also like to thank Nicole White, who works for the company as well. She organized all the dates, times, locations, logistics. We paid a flat rate that is very competitive to other companies. Save yourself the stress and hassle, use this company. Thank you to all.

There were three guys moving our stuff. Our 2 bedroom condo only took just under three hours. They were quick, efficient, kind and helpful. They were careful around the carpet in my parents' house and did not make a fuss when asked to not walk on the carpet. They never once complained about the move, even though I had an awful storage unit that was tough to access. They did as I requested and were fast. We've hired Two Small Men with Big Hearts for two moves now and they have been great! They were very efficient and careful movers. My only complaint is that "small men" is a misnomer. I'm not sure how they define small, but every mover was over six feet tall. I can't quite comment on the "big hearts" part, but I assume that is accurate, though.

Quoted a price. At the end it was way more than quoted. I live in a 1 bedroom. Plus I cleaned out 1 van worth of stuff and donated it after I was quoted. They were also very slow. They left my firestick and power cord for t v. They took apart my headboard and that I've never taken apart in 8 moves that took them 45 mins in the beginning and 45 mins at the end.cause they said they couldn't get it up and down the stairs??? Lol. They also asked for a tip. And talked to my roommate the whole time. I had to keep telling them to hurry up lets go I'm not paying you to visit. I trued to solve this issue with them and all they said was we quoted u a these hours and that's how long it took. ???? What? Really??? That's how they fix problems. They didn't apologize or anything or credit me for time lost.

I had varying experiences with this company for a move from Calgary to Edmonton, but at the end of the day, they did resolve them. Even though I did have to have Edmonton movers come out again the next weekend to move stuff from my garage to a storage unit. This Edmonton Crew was phenomenal!! Eric and James took 35 minutes to load up their truck while it had taken the Calgary crew 1.5 hours to do the same!! Mind you, there was only one mover (with 2 of my buddies) because the other mover from Calgary walked off the job after 1.5 hours and the poor guy Charley from Calgary had to do the drive on his own plus figure out how to get other guys on a Sunday night in Edmonton. If I did need to move in Calgary, I would ask twice who my movers are and when I need movers again in Edmonton, I will ask specifically for Eric and James!! Again they were thorough, careful, and efficient!! I would recommend these two guys any day!!

Our movers were Cory, Jason and Darcy, and they were a professional, helpful and friendly team. Our move took under five hours even with having to navigate the stairs of our previous home and the quirks of an old house at our new place, helpfully taking apart furniture if it couldn’t fit through the small doorway and putting it back together again. We appreciated their quick pace especially as the snow started to fall, and their care in handling our more fragile items. The price was very fair for the great job they did. This is my first time using this company and they are indeed two men with hearts. The entire process was a breeze from getting a quote to booking and the move. The two gentlemen who moved us last week were fantastic. They were efficient, respectful and diligent. They were extremely careful with the fragile items and furniture. Unfortunately after the move we realized one of our desks had broken, but that is okay as we planned to get a new one in the near future anyway. Overall would highly recommend them.

Made moving way harder than it needed to be. In the first two hours of the move they had a mover fall off the truck, with a box, wouldn't tell us which box it was, didn't take the guy who was hurt for help, just had him sit in the truck with a swollen knee. The move slowed to a crawl, they took a half load over to the new house to start because of the injury, then I helped offload the truck because they didn't have a replacement for the injured guy. They said they were sending a second truck and crew to makeup for the lost time, but the replacement crew showed up almost three hours late, and no second truck. So they managed to do one and half loads in 12 hours to move me 15 min away, then they still had to come back the next day to finish a half load that was still left. They smoked a wall with furniture and the guy told me no big deal and that I could paint it myself. Nice. Tried complaining several times, but they just give you the run around. The estimated charge was for 7 hours, but it took them double that time. When I talked to them about the move before hand they assured me no big deal we do it all the time, we use dollies we move five boxes at a time etc. What they meant was we will send over two guys retirement age who will argue with each other the whole time and pick up boxes individually. A move that was supposed to cost around 1100-1400 cost 2100, they refused to break on the price at all despite the problems, the best they did was not charge for fuel, which they shouldn't have anyway because the movers themselves said they took the loaded moving truck to a McDonalds to eat while I was waiting for them to arrive. We had a bunch of stuff broken, including hard drives, drawing tablets, fans, collectibles, mirrors etc and everything was bubble wrapped and in uniform UHAUL boxes. Absolutely the worst company I've had to deal with, complaint to BBB will be filed as well. Stay away from these guys at all costs.

We recently used Two Small Men With Big Hearts to move from a rental condo to our new house. The communication between myself and Andrea A. was great. We had to push our move a bit and things were a bit up in the air, but Andrea followed up a couple times to see if we were still interested and/or if there was anything she could do to help us out. Obviously price is a fairly major factor during these times, and in our opinion the rate we paid for a three-man crew was very reasonable (we had just also used a moving company on Vancouver Island for comparison). During the pre-mobilization summary, we were informed of a one hour window for arrival, however as we needed to rent the elevator I asked if it would be possible for them to arrive as early in the window as possible and my request was acknowledged without issue. On move day Ken, Aiden, and Bryce called me that they were in the area just before the lower end of the time frame. We walked through the scope of the move and then they went to it. There were a couple items that they were made aware had to be handled with a bit extra care and they were very attentive to those details. Unfortunately (for me) the move took longer than anticipated on the move out, at no fault to the three guys whatsoever, however not once did I have a sense of angst or complaint. On the drop off end my plan of where to unload didn't really pan out as planned as I anticipated most of it just dropping onto the main floor. We started to run out of room, so the guys had to run a bunch of boxes down to the basement instead....Unfortunately (for them) these included multiple boxes of books, and at the end of a long day to boot. Once they finished they still had smiles on their faces and very positive attitudes. The professionalism of these three guys was great and made the day run smoothly. I look forward to the opportunity to further recommend this team (I have already had the opportunity to provide a recommendation to a friend of a friend). Thanks again Ken, Aiden, and Bryce. Initially, I wrote a great review and feedback for the movers that came and was happy with the service I received, I will leave the original review at the bottom for reference. We have used 2 Small men to move our duplex to a new bigger house, The movers tried to move our treadmill as required. They attempted to disassemble the machine (We all know it's impossible to carry a full-size treadmill as is), after messing with the treadmill for a half-hour, they came up and told us that they don't have the tools to take the treadmill apart. Therefore they won't be able to move the treadmill. I was very understanding and told them that I would go back with a friend to bring the treadmill to our new place. I took a day off from work to go back with my friend to see that the movers had lied to us. They have stripped each one of the bolts on the treadmill to the point that it's not possible to take them out and disassemble the treadmill (And this is why they didn't take the treadmill with them). We tried different technics and wor for hours. We sold the house, and the new family asked us to remove the treadmill before taking possession. I lost a treadmill and many hours of work. The issue is far from getting resolved. This is the response i have received from the manager. As for now, she is refusing to speak to me over the phone and\or come to any understanding. I'm currently in the process of getting legal advice. "Hi Ohad, After speaking with the crew members they have informed us that they did not attempt to disassemble the treadmill. Derek had immediately realized that he did not have large enough tools for the hardware on the treadmill and had informed you of this. Kindly, Ali" My initial review "Used 2 small men yesterday. 3 not so small men showed up . We used them to pack, Reassemble and then assemble all the furniture and unpack in the new house. All 3 were super professional. Respectful and honestly worked there $&$& off. They were running all day until i forced them to take a break. My dog was obsessed with them and kept following them all day. I could not be happier with the service I have received. Thank you, guys ."

Markell and Taylor we’re exceptionally capable and careful with our things; just one example, but when one of the backs on our IKEA bookcase came loose, they found every single finishing nail used to secure it so we could reattach it. They didn’t have to do that but they did and that made our lives easier the next day when we could put the bookcase back together. They were good-natured and kind and professional and my partner and I both feel they went above and beyond what they needed to in order to do the job. My actual experience was too long to publish on Google so this is the short version: -Movers showed up late, did not remove shoes or put down protection on our hardwood floors. -We had a quote in writing, the movers charged us literally DOUBLE what that quote was for. -The movers disregarded all labels on our boxes and put boxes any and everywhere (Brand new lawn mower labelled "Backyard" in our second floor master bedroom, boxes piled higher than I am tall in the basement, Backyard and Master Bedroom Items side by side in the main floor living room). -We started with two movers, Jesse and Alex, but after they took a 25 minutes detour from old house to new house, a third guy covered in tattoos and a wife beater showed up to help. No idea what his name is or if he is even an employee. Only one person wore a uniform and despite hiring Two Small Men, they were in a Mighty Movers Logo'd Truck. -I started contacting the office at 2:30pm, only at 4:47pm did a manager, Stephanie, offer to send another crew back...however she had also said the crew at our house was her best and she never gets complaints about them. We declined the offer to have another crew come back, not to mention, since they had left we had been moving things and organizing the entire time. We asked for a partial refund. Stephanie said she would call back Monday with a resolution (this was Friday). I called Stephanie 2:30pm on Monday, she offered an hour refund ($129), when I asked how that was fair she HUNG UP ON ME. I called back and explained that makes no sense. A)we were charged double our written quote, B)The movers did a terrible job and C) We spent much longer than one hour sorting the mess they left. I said I was going to contact the Better Business Bureau and make online reviews. She dared me to and said she would respond accordingly. I asked to speak to someone above her and she told me "I am the manager. You talk to me." We did open a claim with the Better Business Bureau on May 30, 2017 and to date, no one from Two Small Men With Big Hearts has acknowledged or responded in any way.

This company was great to work with!!! This was the second time I used them to move my mother. This was more of a challenging move as with the Covid virus and my mother moving from one seniors apartment to another we had to unfortunately change our move date 3 times. I felt bad every time I had to call to yet change the date again but was never made to feel like it was an inconvenience ever. No matter who I talked with they were all very nice, professional and understanding. Their team arrived on time, and we're eager to get to work. After a walk through of the home and some basic housekeeping, Bryce and Aiden dove into the work. They got the container loaded up in what I imagine was record time, and were absolutely fantastic at playing "shipping container Tetris" They were friendly, polite, and obviously knowledgeable about their work. I should note the estimated cost from this firm was much less than the two other estimated I received. Do NOT book with these people! The final cost was over $200 more than the $500 estimate I was given. I had items in storage and a few large (1 heavy) items at another location. There was one mover who seemed experienced, and one who had no idea what he was doing. I have no problem with them training someone on a move, but he should have been a 3rd person, not one of two. He had to be told where to put everything in the truck, what to wrap and how to wrap it. The one guy who had some idea what he was doing spent most of his time showing the other guy what to do. Both of them moved extremely slowly, and stopped to chat a lot. It took them over 4 hours to unload one truck that wasn't even full. They took so long that the dispatcher called them to see what was taking so long. She had them booked for two other jobs after mine, and they didn't finish mine until 4:30 p.m. When I booked, I was asked to identify any antiques. I had 3 antiques, all wrapped in plastic stretch wrap to keep doors closed. I pointed them out to the movers, and they were told to take special care. They broke a door pull off one of them, and there was a 4-inch scratch in the door. They didn't tell me, and I didn't notice it right away so the knob is irretrievable. Another of the antiques has about a 3 inch scratch in one door, which they also didn't mention. They did compensate me 60 cents per pound, which is what I was told was the going rate. I can't fix them for that, though. I contacted the person who did the estimate to complain, and was directed to the person who handled insurance claims. She handled the claim for the damaged antiques, but didn't even respond about the issue with the time and estimate. I emailed her 3 times, and she didn't address it at all - just ignored me.

Was dealing with another mover, and in the day of our move they did not show up. The one good thing they did do was have Two Small Men with Big Hearts call us to replace them. Elaine was awesome on the phone and initially said we would not be able to get movers until the next day. She went over and beyond what I would expect from a company and actually arranged for movers to arrive the same day! She was a pleasure to work with! Nathan and Kevin did an awesome job moving us out on short notice. They were very friendly and personable, and had many heavy pieces to move for us, which they were able to handle very well. The only issue we had was that the front of one of our stairs popped off with all their weight put on the nose while carrying down a heavy dresser. After the move they gave me their claims department number. They rectified this issue by fully covering costs within hours of us giving them a quote from a flooring company in our area. Overall I would highly recommend this company.

They were very professional and courteous and took great care to protect our belongings. The packing and move took almost ten hours and they took very few breaks and worked hard in a snow storm. Everything had to be put in the basement of our new house while renos were being done, which required them to go up and down the basement stairs many times and never a complaint. Very impressed. The people in the office were very easy to work with and kept on top of everything with timely follow-ups. I am very happy with Two Small Men with Big Hearts and would highly recommend them to anyone planning a move.

It was a rainy day and there was a significant amount of water in the truck. Fortunately most of my stuff was in bins so it minimized the damage. Despite it, I likely would use them again.

First time using movers to do our new house move and happy to say it went absolutely amazing. We had the pleasure of dealing with Jason & Wayne and they were easy to deal with. First thing in morning call to set the timing and then explanation of bill and how it works. Then straight to business. Jason was like playing Tetris but in real life making sure everything was protected and placed stably so nothing would be shaking or falling out of place. As we were loading up the first storage locker the load was so fast that we were done in less than 30 minutes so we added another area to load up. By noon they had arrived and offloaded and placed items in the rooms designated. The entire process quoted could be up to 6 hours we ended up using 3.75 hours which was well above expectations. Great work guys!! We had a great time using this moving service and hopefully in the future you will too.

Cam and his crew were amazing! Ours was a quick timelines move and they were very responsive in accommodating us. We had several large and heavy items to move including a baby grand piano. The reservation and booking crew were very good to deal with. The moving team were professional for the most part. However a couple of pieces were damaged in the move which were met by comments that they were like that. Able to provide clear photos of proof that the damages were not there prior. Make sure you document your possessions clearly prior to move in case of dispute. Refunds for damages is poor. Signed up for additional coverage but did not receive it as the staff did not charge for it prior to move. The Mandatory tip option was not appreciated since tips are supposed to be optional. Not the case at the end of my move. Photo your possessions first.
