Well, as far as the individuals are concerned, Right Move has the Right People. I was not overly impressed with the rest of the experience however. When I was given my estimate, I was told that "We are fast and don't take any breaks" To start with, the final bill was $700.00 over the estimated charges, so don't expect their estimates to be close to accurate. Next, all our boxes were packed by us and taped, ready to go. I was charged an additional $33.00 for packing supplies even after I provided 8 double rolls of packing tape. The bulk of our furniture consisted of 2 recliners, a bedroom suite, a futon, and a dining room suite as well as boxes and bags. The move was from a ground floor condo to a duplex. In any previous moves that we have had with other companies, it never took more than about 6 hours for our moves. Right Move, charged me for 9.5 hours. In my opinion, they wasted far too much time with over packing our stuff. We were only moving 60 kms. Then they took an hour break for lunch, as well as 2 half hour coffee breaks at my expense. So, would I recommend these guys, not really. In my opinion, I was over charged by at least $500.00 and I doubt very much if this company will do anything to make me happy by refunding some of the over charges. $500.00 in these times is a lot of money and paying this extra amount to Right Move caused us to put a hold on some of the items we had intended to purchase for our new home. the only thing that Right Move did very quickly was cash my cheque. I had a great experience with Alex and felt that he went above and beyond to make my move run smoothly and make sure that I was happy with the service. Alex was able to accommodate the pick-up of my belongings on quite short notice and hold everything in storage for a month, free of charge. He was flexible with me when my move-in date changed and was able to deliver my things sooner than expected. Alex was extremely fair with pricing and took the time to make sure that I understood everything in regards to the process and billing. Alex was friendly and personable and I would definitely use Right Move in the future!

My mother who is a senior hired Right Move to relocate her belongings from Edmonton to Victoria. She liked Alex who was very friendly, talkative with a good sense of humour. She shopped around for movers and decided to hire Alex of Right Move because his quote was competitive. The actually pickup and move was a good experience-- the men worked quickly and efficiently, and they were friendly the whole time. When the boxes were unloaded in Victoria, she found out that the total weight was a lot more than the quote given to her when Alex came to her apartment prior to moving date, and thus the move cost her quite a bit more money. He said that it was because she had many heavy boxes which was true, but Alex should have done a better job of giving her a more accurate estimate, so that she could have known the cost before hand instead of a bad surprise days later when her stuff arrived in Victoria. We were able to work out a price at the end, and although it still cost more than the estimate, it was somewhat acceptable. Alex remained polite and pleasant while we were disagreeing on the cost. Overall, we would recommend Right Move but make sure that they let you know the weight after they pick up your load so that you can avoid problem later.

Alex did a great job in taking apart our furniture and putting it together. He can be a little blunt under pressure but if you can get past that he's a great guy and gets the job done well. People complaining about price don't understand what good movers cost. These guys are great value for what you're getting.

If I could give a 0 I would. Right move came in last minute when I needed it and I am grateful for that. Charges are outrageous. I paid over 2100 for them to move my stuff but I didn't argue as I needed them and they helped me. Alex is very rude and will do anything to take money from you. I wish I had read and considered all the negative reviews. This is the worse moving company and they are dishonest! He had all my stuff in storage and after paying him 2100 he wanted me to pay an additional 900 for him to deliver my stuff to my new address. I told him I could not afford that and I offered to Bring my own truck outside the storage location and have his workers load my truck and I drive off which would be much cheaper but he still insists that he has to deliver himself, and has pretty much refused to give me back my belongings. I had to get the police involved, iam getting the better bureau involved and going to court if I have to. This is no way to treat customers! To respond to the owners response!! Not only is he a crook but he is a liar as well! I have proof of all our message conversations as well as proof of all the payments and all the receipts that I got. I was never out of the country! My brother was never in jail nor living in my apartment as my brother lives in New Brunswick! I was present the day of the move and I assisted in packing all my belongings. If anything I did all the packing!

We moved with this company on Nov 29, 2015. At first things were going fine. Kyle and Alex came early. They started to pack and do what they do. We moved 10 mins from our former home, and it took 7hours! They were slow, Alex was constantly on the phone, Kyle wouldnt pack a thing if Alex wasnt helping. Alex was constantly stopping to play with our toddler in his playpen. Kyle was taking smoke breaks, and what bothered us the most is my husband had to help them load the truck and UNLOAD the truck or it would have taken them even longer. We hired movers to make our move FAST and EFFICIENT and those two were anything but. After I got the bill, we still had a bunch of stuff left on the truck, my husband had to unload it - by himself until he finally yelled at Kyle to do his job that we just paid a stupid amount of money and unload the rest of our stuff. We got billed for a waredrobe box we didnt use, 3 rolls of packing tape that werent fully used and two rolls of black plastic wrap when we only used one full roll of it. I do not recommend this company unless you are prepared to be over billed because they take their time, or you are willing to tell them to move their asses.

We had an issue with another company not showing up so we had to look for a last minuet replacement and these guys were able to get the job done the same day with only a couple of hours notice. They provided everything needed to pack my belongings and provided boxes, tape, and moving blankets. They did a good job and was able to move from one place to another with out anything getting broken or damaged. I would recommend these guys in the future.

I used Right Move to move out of my home in Edmonton, store the belongings at Right Move's storage facility and then move everything to my new Calgary home. Alex was courteous and efficient, he packed all of the large furniture in blankets to prevent damage. I had no damage to my stuff when I unpacked, I was very happy about that. I wish they had a bigger truck though so I wouldn't have been charged for two trips. Otherwise I was happy with the service I got.

We used Right Move for our cross-country move. The experience was very disappointing overall, but in summary: - The delivery was 9 days later than agreed. We found out that they were in Victoria, BC the day our move was supposed to be delivered in Toronto, ON. They kept pushing back the date so that we did not even know when they would arrive until a day before they did. - There were unexpected charges, including the fuel surcharge being applied to purchased packing supplies and labour, instead of just the weight of the total move. When we asked about it they were very rude and said that other customers never questioned it, but they did end up giving us back a small amount of cash to placate us. - The move was much more than they originally estimated. In fairness, we may have more stuff than average, but I would recommend being very wary of their "estimates". - They became hostile with us when we started asking them for an estimated delivery date. The delivery date itself was very tense and added significant discomfort to an already stressful moving day. It was very disappointing to be handing over $5400 to someone who is being actively disrespectful and rude to you. - Our 50" TV arrived broken. We bought extra cargo insurance on top of the insurance that comes included. They gave us a whole $28 for the broken TV. To be fully fair, they worked fast at loading and unloading and they packed our furniture well for the most part and nothing else was damaged apart from the TV - hence the two stars. I have never written a negative review about anything and it is not in my nature to complain, but after speaking to a number of friends and family members that have also done a cross-country move with positive experiences, we were encouraged to share this experience with others that are looking into their options for movers.

Alex and Derek came in as soon as possible, I am talking literal last minute. I booked with a different company couple of weeks ago and had it confirm a couple of days before the appointment. They never came, I waited for 2 hours and phoned that company and they never pick up. I was so desperate, I phoned a few more companies but non of them was able to provide me service right away. True to their claim "Right Move" really is the best company for moving services speacially for last minute appointment. Hello My friend advised Right Move, he moved last year from British Columbia to Edmonton. He told me a lot of positive emotions and a lot of reviews about this company. Before that, I called few other companies and I did not like how they were talking to me. But when I called the Right Move, then I understand everything and they clearly explained to me and the price was arranged. It really is a professional company who know their business. Two guys came to me, Alex and Maxim, very polite and professional. They very carefully and quickly packed all my stuff, even took care of my plants and fragile statues. I would never in my life thought that someone can efficiently and professionally packaged things. They used different boxes for different sizes, even for lamps and decorative plants, my 70" smart TV and crystal ware. All made quality, professionally and at a good price . Thank you guys!!! NOT RECOMMENDED!! Quick and efficient, decent hourly rates, nice guys BUT.... Charges are astronomical!! And what can you do? They have all your belongings! If you pack your own stuff they make you sign that they aren't responsible for damages because THEY didn't pack it. They tell you when you book that they have insurance on your items; once it's all loaded up though they tell you the cost to insure isn't included, that's extra. The charges to load/ unload your items at the storage locker (when you aren't present) for some reason takes longer than it takes for them to box half of your items AND load the truck when you were timing. Boxes cost up to $18/ box!!!! and yes the blankets are free, but the plastic wrap that they use to secure the blankets around your furniture is $10/roll and they aren't sparing it.

Only called for Quote - did not hire When I called for a quote the man said no problem. He listed the price per hour and explained the extra hour charge for transportation of the workers. No problem. Then it got noisy where I was, and I asked to confirm was the 155 for 1 or 2 hours of work. He said 3 hours. I said 'so you are saying its $155 for 3 hours?" He then yelled at me, quite angrily..."Lady, you are putting words in my mouth...I never said that.." I said thank you I will not be needing anything and hung up. Wow. A lot of instant rage over the fact that I couldn't hear him correctly. I would wonder how that would affect a stressful moving day...

The prices were reasonable compared to the other places I got quotes from and there were no hidden fees. It was a very short notice (under 3 days) move and I even needed to reschedule <12 hours before the move but they were very friendly, accommodating, and didn't charge me extra for that. (Keep in mind I was only moving a few blocks in Edmonton. I don't expect them or any moving company to be able to do this for every case, especially long moves) The mover was on time, friendly, and overall the move went very smoothly. I would definitely recommend them.

We have recently used Right Move for moving us and it is been excellent experience in terms of professionalism with friendly staff. Mover showed up on time and with all proper supplies on hand. Our furniture and other belongings moved from point A to Point B scratch free. We were stressed out about moving end of the month due to other movers not showing up 27th of Month but after talking Right Move they promised they can show up 28th as per their schedule and they dont want to promise something what they can not fullfill and we had till end of the month to give keys back so we trust Right Move taking one more day chance. Rite Move was recommended to me by a relative. When I called he was able to visit immediately to discuss my move from AB to BC. He fully appreciated the fact that I didn't yet have a pick up date due to my home just being sold. When I learned the actual date, he was able to fit me into his schedule. He was business-like and friendly, easy to talk to. He was to keep my belongings in Edmonton until I was able to move into my new home, so the free storage was a blessing. When my possession date was known, he had no problems delivering on the needed date. I felt his rate was acceptable and the bonus was that he took my belongings to a weigh scale in Edmonton and I knew exactly what my weight charges would be. The only surprise I had was that he didn't quote me a price to unload here in BC. However, I accept part of the blame on that due to the fact that I assumed, in error, that his loading charges would include his unloading charges. However, the total was not unreasonable in that he and his workers were professional and didn't waste time at either end of the move. I would recommend Rite Move to any of my friends.

If I could give anything less then 1 star I would, I should have read further into the reviews. I came across them and also Shalom movers , yet there seemed to almost be duplicate reviews and seemed rehearsed! The man named Alex was rude to my husband when trying to get a quote. My husband was trying and ended up in a verbal war! I would not recommend this company ! You should have the right to ask as many questions and not feel belittled when trying to move. We were referred to use them and after the conversation my husband had I def would STAY AWAY... save yourself the time and emotional stress.

I first called RightMoveCanada to help my elderly father move apartments in May 2020. Alex was incredibly responsive and helpful, he took extremely good care of my father, and the move went off without a hitch. In January 2021 when I needed to move on short notice I gave Alex a call and he went above and beyond the call of duty once again. In both instances, Alex was a pleasure to deal with, he was thoughtful, punctual, extremely efficient with how he carried out the move, he treated my belongings with a great deal of care, and he assembled several pieces of furniture and changed a bunch of locks all in record time (and for a very reasonable price). I rarely post reviews online, but in my opinion exceptional customer service is rare and should be recognized. If you or a loved one are ever in need of someone to help make moving seamless and stress-free, Alex and RightMoveCanada are a game changer. Right Move was mentioned to me by a co-worker. I felt comfortable discussing my moving plans with Alex and set a day to get all my stuff packed up which worked in my schedule. The two guys who came were able to get the job done in excellent time and the price was reasonable.

This company is running an extortion operation, they are the #WrongMove in every way. you have been warned, do NOT hire this company for anything, the owner is the most manipulative person we've ever dealt with and holds your property hostage until insanely inflated & fake invoices are paid. Stay as far away from this person and company as possible. #WorstInEveryWay - This part is in response to the owner's response. This business claims "no hidden fees" in their profile. That is an utter joke, it should say "no visible fees" because everything is hidden and your belongings will be held ransom until you pay for all the overcharges that he will fabricate and mislead you about. Even his response to my original review is full of false and misleading information. There are so many things wrong with the short and unrepentant response. The lengthy reply to the BBB will hopefully allow for a resolution and distance from this business and individual. I have asked for a refund to get us back to the high range of acceptable charges for this move/transaction and he has refused several times. Moving to social media seems to be the only way to get this business to understand that people will not tolerate such treatment of holding their belongings ransom until a fake and inflated bill is paid. He is welcome to enter into a settlement discussion and settle this matter but has refused to do so several times already. #RightMoveIsTheWrongMoveInEveryWay

I was thoroughly impressed by these movers. They were on time and professional.. and they helped with anything I needed. Making boxes.. helping pack items.. wrapping all furniture for safe moving. And they took such great care.. not only if my stuff by but of the walls, hallways, stairwells. They worked very long hours to make sure my out of town move was all done in on day! I would highly recommend them to anyone!

Over the past few years i have used a several moving companies. The Rightmove was the best experience, when i moved from Toronto to Edmonton. The whole moving process went very fast, friendly, efficient, careful and very professional. The owner of the compane is very experinced, professinal and easy to deal with, not like other moving companies charging for every little things. The company is a nice reliable with fair pricing, no extra charges to worry about and it is worth the money. I would like to use them again in the future

Alex and assistant moved my senior friend from a 1 bedroom senior apartment to another 1 bedroom apt My friend has very limited resources so spoke with Alex and confirmed that morning that all she had was $600 cash. He said that would be fine and they had a verbal deal. They spent 7 hours packing and loading her (No large furniture involved). When there were 10 boxes left on the truck he gave her the bill - $2,079.00!! We were shocked! He said he would not unload the rest of her belongings until paid in full. She did not have more than the $600 agreed to. A very heated, loud argument ensued. Both my 78 yr old friend and I felt manipulated and very upset to be taken by this Company. If this isn’t elder abuse I don’t know what is! We wanted to do this review to warn other vulnerable seniors not to be taken in by their lies!

The delivery was on time as it planed, without any extra or additional charge, no complains. The staf was very professinal and friendly, they even helped me with on pack some of my things. Worst moving company EVER horrible customer service and no respect for the owners or there personal belongings. Ripped my couch broke my glass table and took a chunk of wood outta the side of the dresser. 2 hours it took to move my belongings and they charged me 900 dollars i said i wasent gonna pay that they took my belongings in there truck and wanted 600 to drop it back off they dropped my stuff on my front lawn and drove off instead of moving it into the storage unit that was suppose to be one month free. so i paid 600 dollars for basically nothing moral of the story do not hire these guys

Alex and his crew did a good job in loading and unloading our stuffs but charges are outrageous. He charges a flat one hour travel time and on top of that he was going to charge me labor from his storage place to my place. Also, he claims he takes him 50% more time to load my stuff to his truck in his storage unit than it takes to unload. Immediately I question his charges, he threatened he will leave with my stuffs which I told him he can proceed. You can use Rightmove, if you are willing to pay someone that looks at all opportunities to cheat you and overwrap stuffs in order to charge you more

I can't give 0. So I have given 1 star because Alex, the right move driver misquoted the pricing. Initially told me $175 and then told me it would be $750 after everything was moved and then $735 when I questioned more. I did not agree to this price. So he told me to come up with the money in the next couple days. I did not agree to it, so I did not pay. I could have paid a taxi driver for 2 trips of $80 total to move my tv and 6 bags of clothes. Alex is a very verbally abusive individual and also has the ability to be physically violent. He has come to my house multiple times yelling, shouting and had to be removed by authorities for trying to force his way into my home to get to me!! I will never in my life recommend this company. Not even to an enemy.

worst people. Please please, i want to save your money. Never ever use right move services. Their name should be wrong move not right move. It is my recent experience on june 29/2015 which i do not know how to explain. They will rip you. Alex is the worst guy and he is cheater, a big cheater. He talk very nice before he give you service but when he actually comes he is a robbery. Please save your money. I had very good quotes from other people but i was captured in his sweet poisonous talks. The money he robbed from me will not digest and he will pay one day. Thanks.
