I've used Red Mile Moving commercially and personally for 3 moves since 2010. I will not source any other moving company. I've experienced other companies that "milk" the clock, puttering around, taking their time, folding blankets and so obvious about it. The Red Mile people move quickly. They communicate well, they're very respectful and courteous and did everything I ask. Instructions & rates are made clear up front, once I explained everything I needed done. Questions were asked for clarity and there were no surprises at the end. I would and do recommend anyone to contact them for their moving needs, both for small commercial and personal moves.

Hired these guys to move my house they did it fast but we’re ignorant and left stuff behind saying they couldn’t fit in the truck and if they did they would have to reorganize the whole truck, well sounds like there problem not mine and that they couldn’t take stuff apart but I took it apart in 2 seconds than I get told they would be back the next day to pick up the stuff left behind free of cost and no call back and no answer when I went to call to inquire about it. Of course they got paid $400 so why return my call or move the stuff left behind.

The 2nd move was great as well, they honoured their quote, worked threw until it was done. I used Red Mile Moving on December 31, 2018. The guys from Red Mile Moving were fantastic. They were quick, yet careful with the furniture. A couple of plastic pegs on my IKEA drawers broke off (not because of the movers, but because if was a very frosty Calgary day) and they brought it to my attention. They also made sure not to put those drawers on the floor as not to scratch the floors. I really appreciated that. The guys were very personable and made my furniture move a breeze. I would absolutely recommend this company to anyone for your moving needs. One note: I used Mastercard to pay and there is an extra 3% processing fee. I wish I was told that on the phone prior to booking the move as opposed to the day of.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!! I WISH I WOULD OF READ REVIEWS BEFORE I CALLED THEM we have 3 children in the home and was hard enough getting all packed and ready for a move. According to Adam is normal to get nicks and dings during moves, we can agree with the, but NOT on every piece of furniture. Solid wood dining table and change table ruined, computer tables ruined, and they lost dowels two of our tv stands have shelving that aren't properly supported. His response is to just go to a hardware store and pick up new ones, this is incredibly unprofessional, our queen size mattress has a cut in it. I don't think there was a piece of furniture that was moved that was not damaged. He quoted a job out at 3 to 4 hours with an hour travel time of 4 to 5 hours. The move ended up take 6 hours, that's fine sometimes things take longer and they did get stuck in front of the home as he calls " an act of god". They also forgot the hardware for our bedframe at the old home, so when it came time to setup the bed I wasn't able to and had to wait a few hours before they even got back to me. If you want to claim anything through insurance there is a deductible of 250 per item. SO we have to pay out even more to fix what was never broken before. I have done plenty of moves on our own and haven't had this bad of damage EVER. The only positive is the team was very friendly and personable. AVOID AT ALL COST

I normally don't review business but I have witnessed the mess they made when my friend moved, they did not complete all the services promised, left a whole bunch of stuff behind, left all the lights on, their drinks and food wrapper all over the place... Bad Bad Bad Service. On top of that when she tried to call the manager she was repeatedly told he was not there. No resolution in sight, they are giving her the run around. Do not use these guys.

REALLY Bad experience So, i would recommend that you give these guys a second look before hiring them. I contracted them on a fix cost basis for packing moving and unpacking. They made a ridiculous mess of things, left about 15% of random belongings behind, damaged walls, left their drink bottles and food wrapper on the floor, left all the light on at the previous house and the had the nerve of pressuring me into giving them a 20% tip. Trying to get resolution and i have been given the run around, staff claiming that the owner is not there but when someone calls 5 minutes later he picks up the phone... my advice: STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS... I have about 50 pictures of the mess they made. not impressed!!! Can i submit that they deserve LESS than 1 star?

UPDATE - ------------------------------ Red Mile Moving have returned the missing spring. After reaching out to the Police and the BBB, Adam the owner of Red Mile Moving rang my wife to explain that he has been on vacation for the last three weeks, and was unaware of our issues. Regardless if this is true or not, Adam has kept his word and has returned the spring. Now my chair sits as it should. ------------------------------ One of the worst moving companies I have ever had the unfortunate pleasure of dealing with. We used this company to move house a few blocks away. They damage one coffee table, one ping pong table and lost a spring needed to hang an outdoor chair. Numerous attempts at contacting them to get it back yields nothing. Jason constantly tells us he will get back to us, but never does. They are now using COVID as an excuse for misplacing our spring. No refund offered - they just hang the phone up now. Do not recommend this company if you have valuables you want to keep safe. Company is now refusing to hand back the product unless we amend/remove our Google reviews.

April 2, 2020: dealt with some movers yesterday at a condo building in Calgary (with whom hired me to oversee a move). Was not impressed at how unprofessional 2 of the movers were when I tried to enforce condo policy. Very argumentative, even in front of their client. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone who is moving into a condo. Update: had a discussion with the owner via email between June 1-3. Issue has been rectified internally. As of June 3, 2020, my review of company is now 4 stars as a result of discussion with owner.

The two men who moved my furniture showed up 15 minutes before schedule, explained in detail how the move would be charged and then proceeded to quickly and carefully move my belongings. They took apart my 2 queen beds and treadmill (and re-assembled them at my new place) and both of the men knew what they were doing and worked well as a team. Even when the building "manager" was very rude and confrontational with them (for no good reason) they kept their sense of humour and went about the business of getting me moved as quickly as possible. I have no problem recommending Red Mile Movers - my experience with them was great.

We used Red Mile as they were recommended by a friend of ours, and having used them we would now highly recommend them to anyone else. They showed up right on time, and wasted no time getting started. Things got tricky with our treadmill as the frame would not separate from the deck, however they wouldn't give up on it, and came up with a creative solution to get it out. Everything was shrinkwrapped, and all of our furniture and belongings were treated with care. Moving is not exactly the most fun endeavor, but they took all the stress out of this part of it. We are moving again within the next 12 months and will be using Red Mile again.

THEY DIDN’T SHOW UP!! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GET ANY OTHER MOVING COMPANY. I could write the longest review ever describing how I confirmed twice with Adam about my move date. I could write how they were a no show and ignored my repeated attempts to contact them on my moving day. I could write that because they didn’t show up, I had to hire a different company with a van half the size I needed and twice the cost because this joke of a company screwed me over on a long weekend by not showing up. I could write how I had to take off 2 extra days off of work (on top of the day off I had booked for moving day) to try and get the rest of my house moved. I could write that because this joke of a company didn’t show up, I lost my damage deposit at my rental place because I couldn’t get my house moved and cleaned on time. I could write that because Red Mile Moving didn’t show up, moving day turned into moving week and cost me $2800 instead of the $700-$800 I was quoted by Red Mile. I could write that Red Mile Moving made for the most stressful week and a half of my life and the owner, who I left a message for didn’t have the guts to call me back and discuss the situation. Needless to say, this company and Adam are truly horrible, lacking in customer service and will screw you over. WORST MOVING COMPANY EVER.

I hired redmile movers today I can't say how professional the 4 man crew was and how fast they moved! They beat the quote which I was exspecting to pay more then the quote. I had tons of stress just having emergency surgury the night before which completely dissapeared as soon as I seen how fast they were moving! Not one thing damaged they exceeded my expectations! I have used this company many times. Twice just for in house moves. (Moving furniture from upstairs to the basement) I have to first mention that they were on time every time I used them, which I appreciated because time for me is so hard pressed. My first move was recommended to me from a friend and I moved into storage. I remember feeling impressed because they were so quick which saved me money. When I used them to move my stuff from storage, I was again impressed at how quick and efficient they were, when you are paying by the hour, one has to appreciate that. I feel like this mover is my mover, I never encountered damaged items, and they kept their word on both amount of time, fees and start time. Moving is highly stressful, I cannot imagine using a mover that makes it more difficult on you. I did my research before using my friends recommendation and the nightmare stories I heard... OH MY! Some tips to anyone moving, to help the movers on their time, I took legs off tables, taped or wrapped drawers (after emptying them) closed, wrapped mirrors and other large pictures etc. They staff at Red Mile mentioned to me how helpful that was time wise because they wouldn't have to stop and do it, which would cost me money! We have used Red Mile movers twice in the past and didn’t think twice to hire them when we needed movers again. This time around when they showed up late to my booked day they walked around the home checking everything that needed to be moved. Once they started they informed me that a lady called crying that she booked the wrong month and needed movers today so they double booked themselves. This turned into me getting short changed and the guys rushing to the point when things were dented dinged and scratched. Of course they wrap things so you don’t see their damage to complain at the time. They decided half way through loading they would be unable to take all of my home contents but offered to come back Sunday night to move the rest...really Sunday night. So that would have put me 2 days without all of my things. Then came the $1100 bill which I wouldn’t have had such a hard time swallowing had the moved all my things. So now I’ve spent the last 2 days moving the rest of my things in my car load per load. I applaud whoever this woman was for using tears to get what she needed and left me high and dry with 3/4 of my house moved. Red Mile did a great job roping us into thinking they were the movers to hire. Long story short they chose a referred customer over a repeat customer. Bad customer service on your part.

Very dissatisfied with service. We were notified an hour before movers were supposed to come that they had to do another move that morning, so they showed up 3.5 hours late!!! Good luck trying to find someone else for that morning after we arranged security in both condo locations! My husband ended up moving all of our boxes to the lobby of the building that we were moving out from. Even though my husband did all of the move himself when movers came it took them 2 hours to load up the truck since one guy was in the truck waiting for the other two to bring the furniture! they were very very slow. They were complaining all the time. Since you have to pay them per hour I guess they feel entitled to take their sweet time! We were charged for more hours then they actually were here with us!! Most of our boxes were squashed! Do not use this company for your move! It will cost you less to move yourself with U-haul rental! Move itself is stressful to begin with, this company makes it 100X MORE stressful!!!!

I've given 4 out of 5 only because the time slot for our move kept getting bumped. We initially were scheduled as the 1st move of the day but it didn't happen until mid afternoon. Not a huge deal though, just a lot of waiting and a bit stressful as the people moving in were planning on being there late afternoon and we wanted to be out. Needless to say, when they were able to arrive the guys were VERY efficient and quick. They were professional and friendly. A couple of weeks later I realized shelves for a bookcase were forgotten on the truck. I called to inquire about them he was very helpful. He was able to locate them and made sure we got them. Red mile was able to move us the next day! We moved on Aug 31 2021. The crew was so professional rolled out carpet so they don’t get the floors dirty and Immediately started to work. They also helped me with a couple stripped screws on my dining table. At the new location the elevator was really slow so they decided it would be more efficient to take the stairs and save time. I can’t thank them enough. I’ll be calling them for my next move for sure.

I've waited at home for 4 separate times waiting for Red Mile Moving to send their repair guys from damages to couches, bed frames and walls during their move. The first day they did not show up, it was a 4 hour window. The next day they said they would have someone in the morning, which was another 2 hour window. Today, you were supposed to have someone here between 12-2. Another 2 hours of my time with no call back. I've called into the office multiple times and still have no call back from Adam or their team. Update: After posting the review, Adam said that the repair guy would be at my place by 4 pm the same day. I rushed home to meet him at 3:30 pm (after I left work to meet the repair guy), Adam informs me that they will come in the morning at 9 am. At 6:30 pm, I was told I could pick another window from 12-2 the next day. I stated I would give them a 15 minute window at 1 pm. (He showed up at 1:20 after calling at 12:45 asking for the address!). Adam sent an email saying that the repairs would only be completed if I either paid $250 insurance deductible or if I removed my review. He stated that if I left my post up, the repairs would not be completed or I would have to pay for their damages. I felt bullied and I did not want to pay the $250 for damages that they created. They said if the reviews went back up, they would send the $250 to collections as per a NDA that was never signed at the time of the work. For all 12 hours of me waiting for them to show up, over 4 SEPARATE days of waiting for them to show to repair the damages they created), they offered me a $50 gift card. I said I would rather have a phone call conversation (which I have tried to have with them for over a month now). I never did get the gift card to date. You can not bully your customers into removing a factual review, with threats of bill collections or being forced to pay for your damages. The repair guy used essentially a felt maker on the couch ripped so that you see a nice rip, but it is covered with black felt. He said he would go back to talk to Adam and call me in a few hours. That was Thursday (10 days ago). On the Tuesday I sent Adam an email with a picture showing the current damages and have yet to hear back. No call back to date, no word on these apparent gift cards, and most importantly, no fixing of the damages they created. I would highly recommend not using this company unless you want to be threatened to not have your damages repaired unless you pay $250 or remove accurate reviews. I'm guessing that others have likely removed negative reviews as they were pressured to do so. DO NOT LISTEN TO THE OWNER RESPONSE BELOW SAYING IT HAS BEEN RESOLVED. IT HAS NOT BEEN AT ALL.

I have mixed feeling about this company. We hired them to complete our move and while the movers themselves were polite, great to deal with and very efficient, they did not bring a big enough moving truck. We had to end up completing the move ourselves in our vehicles the next day. They also damaged a piece of furniture (which I completely understand happens sometimes during a move) but it was the way it was handled that I have an issue with. They were quick to deny they had caused the damage and said it was there previous when it was not. It was our coffee table that we look at every day and you could tell it was fresh damage as there was wood dust still sitting on top of the table from it. I was advised to contact the owner/manager. I left a message for the person that I booked the move with and waited for a few days. I did not hear anything back so I called again and was told the message was not received. I was told to send pictures of the damage and I did right after the phone call. It has been a week and I have still heard nothing back. The tone definitely changed after the move was completed and now I feel like I am just left hanging and do not expect to get a response from this company.

Despite a 45 minute traffic jam & the far to common 20 minute torrential rain with strong wind storm they had to wait out, the whole move was completed in around 7 hours. Absolutely terrible experience so far. Guys showed up late. Was quoted for a 10 hour move, even though the move only took 9 hours I was still charged more. Nearly every piece of furniture they moved was damaged. Gouges out of the tops of my sofas, bedside tables, and dressers, crushed corners of my bedside table and sofa, punctured leather on my chair, caved in the back of my dresser. Contacted the owner and he said they wouldn't even try to make it right until I moved the furniture in to a house. That's absolute BS when they moved my stuff to a long term storage.

Do not recommend. Three hours late. No call. Called to check and was promised an update which never came. Rushed job and threw furniture together in a clumsy manner. Ripped part of my bed, scratched my sofa and wall. I think they overran at last job but a call or apology would have been nice. Will not use again or recommend.

Share my experience .... Wow, where do I start. My boyfriend and I hired them for the 30th of June, and were given a time frame between 2-3. When I called the first time, I wasn’t given a time frame as they couldn’t seem to tell me anything... other than they were short staffed due to hungover employees that had a wedding the night before. When I didn’t receive a phone call from the suggested mover “Jason” I called again and was told a second time, I would receive a call with a time frame. Another 45 minutes later, I started to worry..... after 3 PM, & which point the phone rang and rang and rang. I left a voicemail, and no return. Now at this point, we thought we were done all our heavy lifting so enjoyed a couple of drinks with lunch. Boy were we in for a rude awakening. Now scrambling, and having to push back my walk through for the next morning, we had to move everything ourselves. After struggling to get all the furniture moved with inappropriate vehicles, Red Mile Moving decided to drive through the condo complex at 830PM as we were closing the garage door and leaving with our last loads. Not only did they not look at us, but didn’t even stop. Excellent service, great customer service. Highly recommended , not.

The first time I used this company, I was a little nervous to be honest. Adam put me at ease, and when they arrived for the big day all my fears subsided. I found their rates to be aggressively competitive and very reasonable. They were quick, took special care in both houses to take shoes off, lay carpets in areas they needed to walk in the house. I moved in winter as well, and the truck got stuck on my street (the roads in residential areas were awful) They were able to get out, and didn't charge me for that time which was expected. I will use them again if I ever have to move.

Booked Red Mile to do my move and also a move-out clean from my rental. The move was fine, but the clean was horrible. They barely touched my place the first time, when I complained they agreed to come back and Adam, my contact since I first booked them, assured me it was done properly this time. I didn't have time to check it before I did my walk-through with my landlord. The place was still nowhere close to clean. Floors not well vacuumed, appliances not well cleaned and not cleaned in behind. Bathrooms dirty. I have now had the cost of an actual professional clean deducted from my damage deposit. I contacted Adam asking for a refund, and even sent him pictures to prove the cleaning wasn't done. He has not returned calls or emails. Thankfully I paid by credit card and have disputed the charge so I will hopefully get my refund that way. I do not recommend Red Mile Moving.
