Our family (parents, us and our adult children) have depended on Eager Beaver for 7 or 8 moves in total in the last 12 years. Each time they were there on time, worked efficiently and took great care with our belongings. They took beds apart and reassembled, and wrapped the more fragile items. Once delivered, they would place/install in exactly the spot we wanted. Amazing team. Today, special thanks to Caleb and his crew.

I met with Cyril and Jacob yesterday and they helped me move some office furniture to three different locations. They were extremely efficient and professional, very careful when they move my stuff and ensure nothing gets damaged. There were only two of them but they were able to move the things that I thought would require 3 or 4 people job, they are amazing. Cyril and Jacob were very accommodating to our requests - there was a few items we thought we couldn't move to the basement because of the large size, but they didn't give up and were willing to give it a shot (it worked out at the end although I don't think my boardroom table will ever come out of the basement until the end of time lol). The price is a little bit too high comparing to my experience with other moving company, but I think it's worth it, I guess it is true when people say "you get what you pay for". Also, if you're going to tip the mover, tip them in cash and not credit cards, I found out the company take a small cut from the movers' tips, that's so unfair.

I can't say enough great things about these guys! My work used Eager Beaver a few years ago to move from one office to another and I wanted to use them again for my personal move because of how awesome they did. On moving day they showed up early and kept me informed about every thing all day while they moved our possessions from one house to thre other. They worked hard and fast! They made sure to check in with me often to make sure the proper things were packed, explained what they were doing clearly and identified if there was any risk to moving certain items (plants, mirrors), not that it mattered because they took so much care with our stuff. Better late than never... We hired Eager Beaver Express Moving back in August 2017. We moved from our 1 bedroom apartment to our new 4 bedroom house. We had packed up our stuff ourselves, so all we had asked them to do was move our stuff from one place to the other. We were very happy with the experience. The movers were professional, knew what they were doing, and were very friendly. It made a very stressful day for us significantly less so. We barely lifted a finger; they took care of everything. They also disassembled and reassembled the furniture they had to to make it fit through the more difficult doorways. While they charge more per hour than most other places, for that extra charge you get a third person, which makes things go a lot faster....especially if the place you're moving out of or into involves an elevator. Our total bill came to like $1300 for 7 hours of work with three movers. While that's a lot of money, it was worth every penny. Would recommend.

We recently used Eager Beaver to move our home. They were quick and worked very hard. Keegan and his team immediately impressed me when, following the tour of the house to review what items needed moving, each member immediately grabbed a box to move from the basement, and again from the second floor, so that "no trip up or down stairs is wasted". The move took two hours longer than quoted, but it was not due to a lack of hard work. I would recommend this company to anyone who asked.

Communication with both office and on-site staff was professional and timely; kept us up to date and sent reminders which was very nice and assuring. Very impressed with how well they packaged and wrapped all the furniture for transport--everything wrapped with moving pads and/or shrink-wrap and arrived safely. Had a vintage lamp I was going to move but when we saw how well they wrapped everything, we had them move this as well! It arrived safely and saved me the hassle. This was my first time hiring a moving company so I did my research and compared companies. Although the estimate was higher than some of the other companies, I decided to go with Eager Beaver and I’m glad I did! They estimated on the high side so there wouldn’t be any surprises at the end of the move. I probably would have had a nasty surprise had I gone with another company. Despite the massive amount of snow we got overnight and the condition of the highways, the move went very well. The crew were very friendly and professional. Local move with two pick up locations and one end location. We had them move our daughter and another household and it went very smoothly. We have had professional movers move us approximately 6 times over the years and even though this was a smaller move it was one of the most straightforward. They quoted an hourly rate and the number of hours was pretty much exactly what they quoted. Communication was good from beginning to end. Movers were friendly and careful. Would recommend.

I had seen the green trucks driving around the city and so when it came time for us to move I did some research. Eager Beaver consistently came with top marks online for all aspects of their service, and I can now see why. 2020 has been a difficult year for everyone but EB handles every step of the process like pros. From rebooking because of a Covid related self isolation period, to staying masked and polite throughout the move, they managed the whole thing smoothly. My two movers, Cyril and Brendan, were so great. I truly appreciated the hustle, the politeness, and the attention to detail. Everything got wrapped and they worked as a team to put my family at ease, seeing all of our possessions put in place in our new house. I work in marketing and have seen my fair share of "forced" reviews, and this is not one of them. Go with Eager Beaver for your move. You simply won't have to worry about a thing.

We hired Eager Beaver Moving to move us from Devon to an acreage near Sherwood Park in May 2015. I cannot say enough good things about these guys. Fantastic service. Tom and his team arrived right on time, introduced themselves and were very up front about the whole procedure. They put down mats throughout the house so their shoes didn’t mark up the floors. The guys got right to work without delay and didn’t waste any time through the day. Each of them knew exactly how to do their jobs and they had all the right equipment (dolly’s, hand carts, blankets, shrink wrap, etc). They loaded the entire 3 bedroom house in 3 hours, then at the new site had it unloaded in 1 ½ hours. Nothing was damaged and no walls were marked. They were even able to move our new LED TV and a gigantic fragile picture (most other companies declined these items). The price was very fair and I was able to pay with my visa at the time of the move. Overall these guys worked their butts off and were polite, professional, clean and efficient the entire time. I would happily recommend Eager Beaver to anyone looking for moving services.

Eager Beaver was fantastic. Frank, Marcus, and the rest of the Eager Beaver team did a terrific job of moving my couch and bed into my new apartment and did so in a quick and efficient manner. The guys were very funny and entertaining too. The one recommendation I'd give the company going forward is to maybe introduce a 1 hour moving fee as opposed to a minimum of two hours. What a great moving company Eager Beaver is. I called a contractor friend and asked him for a good suggestion and he said to call Eager Beaver. I could not be more happy. I called and the person I spoke to was very polite, booked my move, sent me a confirming email and then I waited for the day to move. I received a confirming email a day prior to the move and then, if you can believe it, the movers called me half an hour before it was scheduled. They were not late, as so many are, they were actually half an hour early. The movers came into the house, wrapped everything in blankets and taped them up, before putting things in the truck. They then drove to my new condo and unloaded everything and helped me assemble my bed. They were polite, clean, efficient and I could not be n=more pleased. Thank you Eager Beaver Moving.

We had Eager Beaver move our household and also my parents'. Both groups were super professional, efficient, and friendly. They were running up and down stairs when they are not carrying heavy things. They cared about details. Runners were put in throughout the house to protect floor. They helped put the felt-pads on the furniture which made it easy for us to slide the bigger pieces for small adjustment. Everything was done neatly and quickly. Eager Beaver really made moving easy and less stressful for us! We would also like to mention Ryan's group specifically, for how much efforts they put in to protect the tree. Travis climbed up to the top of the truck to get the branches out of the way so that the truck won't break it. Thanks again for all the great work! We highly recommend Eager Beaver Moving.

TLDR: if you need movers I would 100% recommend these folks! Great experience, great value, and great employees. I had such a fantastic experience with their team- the perfect blend of friendly and professional. The walkthrough was simple, easy and very professional and getting the paperwork done up was a breeze since it was all via email. The packer(whom I missed the name of) was amazing, did a great job wrapping stuff and was so quick I was amazed. She also did a good job making sure the boxes were out of my way so I could still be in the space overnight. Dion, Brandon, and Sydney were my moving team and they were super fantastic too. Again, very professional but also friendly enough. They were great about making sure all of my furniture was packed so well. They managed to move multiple ikea bookshelves without them getting wiggly or damaged (if you’ve ever moved ikea bookshelves you know how much of a big deal that is). Despite the move requiring four flights of stairs in total they were really fast. They helped get everything arranged how I wanted it and were just awesome to work with. Really made the move way less stressful. 100% recommend and their cost is great value for the service you get.

The movers just left and I couldn't be happier. They were extremely efficient and didn't try to drag out the move, despite being paid hourly. During the initial quote and contract signing, I experienced good communication and received detailed answers to my questions. During the move, they were very careful with the walls. I noticed them moving slowly through doorways, checking to ensure furniture didn't bump. We experienced a bit of trouble with our elliptical machine, but the movers discussed with me beforehand and got my go ahead. I was also impressed with their gear. They were well-stocked with moving blankets and giant rubber bands, and clearly had experience wrapping furniture. All in all, I would definitely recommend.

There's not much to say about this company that hasn't already been said. I was impressed from start to finish by the professionalism and speed of my movers. Nelson, Christian, and Drake managed to move me from a 9th story apartment building into a newly built townhouse in 30+ degree weather with a 5 pm start time without a single issue. They took great care in ensuring that not a single item was damaged and still finished much faster than I anticipated. I would highly recommend this crew. I did have to take one star off unfortunately. After I initially booked my appointment over the phone approx. 2 weeks in advance of my move I did not receive any type of confirmation. I called the day before the scheduled move date to confirm as I felt something was off and suddenly received a confirmation email after ending the call. Not a huge deal, and I will not speculate as to what happened; however, better communication (automated confirmation email/call/text) would have made this a 5 star experience! Edit: Just received a personal call with an explanation as to what happened with the minor hiccup in booking. Cranking it back up to 5 stars. I appreciate the honesty and accountability.

They did little extra things for us, offered to move furniture within the house after everything was inside, and were so genial about everything. I have moved 5 times in the last 10 years, and until the last time, have never used movers. I always balked at the cost and felt like I didn't have enough things to warrant spending the money, even if it took me days and countless carloads to move (don’t even get me started on the physical pain and emotional drainage). When we were planning our move from our 1 bed 870 sq ft condo to our new 4 bed bungalow, my boyfriend suggested movers, to which I was apprehensive due to the cost and thinking we didn’t have all that much to warrant spending the money. He insisted, saying they’d be worth it. Now, I’m careful with how often I say this to avoid it going to his head, but WOW WAS HE EVER RIGHT!!!! Our team of Christian, Keaton and Cyril kept in contact with us before arriving so we had a good idea of when to expect them, and then they came in super well-prepared. They had tools, all these rubbery mats to protect the flooring and even these wardrobe boxes for the things that we had run out of boxes for and had expected to need to come back for once we unpacked. Holy crow did these men ever hustle while treating our possessions with care. I’m super type-A, work a high-stress job and by nature, like to help people, and they encouraged me to get cozy on the sectional (which they left me my one piece until the very end). I was so in awe that I called my boyfriend and just said: “They actually told me I can just sit on the couch and relax… I haven’t felt this chill in forever. Thank you so much for this.” We had them for 5.5 hours, as we had some extra things in our garage that we couldn’t carry in ourselves and they made sure things were assembled/placed to our liking before heading out. Eager Beaver Moving is incredible, and while we aren’t planning to move again for a good while, we will definitely be recommending them to everyone we know, including my own clients - who I hold dear to my heart (I’m a mortgage broker). We had them come in they took half a room put it in their truck and then said they were not doing anything else because it smelled and pet hair. We have 2 dogs and JUST lost our cat and to hear that was heartbreaking. So they brought the half room they had put in truck and threw it in our living room. Two things. One, the room they did take smelled like cigarettes from them, they all smelled of it so if there was a complaint of smell that would be us to them, also my father in law heard one of them complaining baout his shoulder hurting. The guys that came with the boss were fine, it was the main guy that was rude and disrespectful. If our house smells like cat it's because we had a very sick cat and to say things like you live in this smell is really upsetting and very unprofessional.

Eager Beaver is definitely an accurate name! We hired a three man team to help move us from a three bedroom apartment in Edmonton to a three bedroom house in Airdrie. They managed to move us out of our second floor apartment in exactly two hours; in that time they also laid mats to protect the wood floors, wrapped all of our furniture, and dissembled some other furniture pieces. The entire process was incredibly smooth and much faster than we expected. The team was also friendly and professional throughout. Unloading at our two story house + basement was an equally smooth process that took just under two hours to complete. They went above and beyond to place furniture wherever we asked, which included some small adjustments after everything was brought in. They reassembled all the furniture and even helped us move some things that were already present in the house. Overall, Eager Beaver was far more attentive and enthusiastic than any moving company we’ve worked with before. We could not recommend them more!

We hired Eager Beaver for a move from Edmonton to Sherwood Park on August 27, 2021. Three guys and one big moving truck. They were very professional and coordinated. Nothing was damaged, broken or missing. We hired them mainly to move the largest/heaviest furniture pieces and boxes amongst other awkward items. Everything we wanted them to move fit in one truck haul. They were able to beat the estimate by several hours. We helped assist by being prepared before moving day, and we decided beforehand to do our own furniture dissembling and assembly. Customers must realize that self-organization of your items, boxes and furniture and preparation before moving day is key to any moving companies efficiency. Have your boxes and furniture and the rooms at the new house clearly labeled so things go where they need to go, to prevent/minimize questions/confusion or delays. A big shout out to our hard working Eager Beaver movers, Cyril, Tyrese and Trey. Thank you for your hard work and professionalism! I would rate Eager Beaver and the crew an A+. Well worth the money to ensure your move day is successful. Highly recommended.

I can’t recommend Eager Beaver Moving enough. They were easy to communicate with before the move and have a clear system in place for quotes that made things streamlined and low-stress. The movers worked efficiently and courteously, taking obvious care to protect our apartment, our stuff, and our new house. I couldn’t believe how quickly they worked! They had our two-bedroom apartment (about 100 boxes) unloaded into the new house, including furniture reassembly, in about five hours. We had an amazing move with Eager Beaver. Had a very large home, they sent 3 guys who were awesome! All very polite, respectful and easy to work with. They made moving during Covid so much less stressful, washing their hands frequently and always asking before using any of our washrooms. Overall the cost was a little higher than quoted but only being able to do a video walk through to quote I had anticipated that this would probably be the case as they could not see in person how much and how big all of our stuff was. The best part of it all was the disassembled and reassembled our platform beds and placed all our furniture where we wanted it to go so that we would have to move things around afterwards. I talked to Christian who came for my free estimate and found a way to squeeze me in for moving even though they were very booked in short notice. Marcus and Sheldon came to do my actual move and they were on time, friendly,,,,I accidently packed my keys and they handled the situation with grace and a smile as they had to look in packed boxes right before we were ready to hit the road from edmonton to calgary. After a local delivery company refused to move some furniture up one flight of stairs, one call was made to Eager Beaver and they sent a team of movers over that day. Pricing was easy to understand and worth every penny. The movers who showed up were very clean cut, didn't smoke and I don't think I heard any profanity come from their mouth - quite a wonderful surprise as most people have quite a different experience with movers. Even if their prices were a bit more, I would always pick Eager Beaver for these reasons. You get what you pay for - in this case you get a whole lot more. I'm no longer concerned when it is time to pack up the house and move. Oh...they also told me they can pack the house while I go play with the kids. A Marvelous Moving Team from Eager Beavers: Robin, Drake and Ricky arrived promptly for our moving appointment and skillfully began! They proceeded to review the work to be done, asked pertinent questions, made introductions with professional skill and light heartedness! It is so easy to have them in one's home working and even, with so much being accomplished, the environment is still rather peaceful! They are intelligent and thoughtful, considerate and kind. The men made our move with all the right equipment - well maintained and clean. The moving dollies have soft rubber wheels, and the movers spread many soft thin clean protective runners through out and they also use a variety of ramps for different needs. Throughout the day , they are shoes on , then off... as needed. They wrap(cushioned fabric) and band(quick flex bands) much of the furniture and dismantle and reassemble quickly when needed. The Prep, Loading and Packing is Perfection! A move of one's home possessions, is intimate. In choosing a moving company- to come into our home and move "the things of our life", Robin, Drake and Ricky were caring, genuine and delightful to spend a meaningful day of change with. As the Eager Beaver Van departed our driveway, we marveled at the magic and ease that had been swiftly performed thru out the day ~ Really Quite Amazing!

For context we moved from a 2bd apartment to a 3bd house and have never hired movers, just had friends and family help us throughout or previous moves. We put aside some money and now feel like these guys were worth every penny. The guys at Eager Beaver couldn't have been more professional, efficient, thoughtful, friendly and hardworking throughout our 4-5 hour move. We literally didn't have to lift a finger when they moved our boxes out of our apartment. And when we got to our new house they just needed direction as to where our boxes and furniture was to go. We just watched them run up and down stairs dropping off all our stuff in the exact rooms we wanted them. They even dismantled and reassembled our bedframe and set it up for us. They also took items such as old electronics, tires and general random junk to the ecostation for us (for a reasonable extra charge). This was a huge convenience for us after a week of packing and sorting out what we didn't want to keep. They wrapped all our furniture (couches, mirrors, TVs etc.) in blankets so there was no chance for damages to occur. We were blown away at how stellar their service was and couldn't have imagined how seamless well this move would go. Special shout out to MJ, Mike and Jared, our movers for the day, thank you for being so accommodating, friendly, hardworking and helpful! Best moving experience we've ever had! Highly recommend! Spend a little extra money on these guys to make your moving-in experience first class! You won't regret it, guaranteed!

Eager Beaver moving were great. They weren't the cheapest option but I didn't want to trust my valuables to a cheap mover, plus they had three movers instead of the usual two which made things go a lot quicker. They communicated well, arrived within the scheduled time, and were very efficient in getting my stuff packed and unpacked as well as getting my furniture apart and back together how it was. The crew was polite and friendly and did an excellent job with my big furniture with wrapping it to protect it. They explained the invoice clearly, so there were no surprises. Overall just a very pleasant experience, I'd definitely recommend them to anyone needing a mover. Great job!

The movers themselves were very professional. In particular a new Scottish guy was very friendly! That said for a 6 hour bill I was charged nearly 2 hours of travel time (the standard 1 and close to another 1 for a 10-15m drive with breaks as per google maps). They got lost. Then asked for a tip after I'm paying each person 70 plus an hour not including travel time. Even my virtual walk through didn't go as planned and I had to call them as they forgot my appointment. Very overpriced for what was provided. Customer support reached out and was seemingly pleasant but not helpful whatsoever. Would not recommend.

We used Eager Beaver Moving a few months back. They moved our stuff from Sherwood Park to the Fort. The guys were nice and personable. They moved most everything in a timely manner. The one blemish on our experience was that when we went back to our old house we saw that they left a number of items which included our freezer, 20 cases of vinyl flooring, two tubs of glue for the flooring. One big dent in the main door which they failed to tell us. I had to move all our stuff which was suppose to be moved by them. They also left a number of their mats at each house. When I contacted them about what had happened the person who answered the phone said the owner would call a talk to us about it. No one called to follow up which is the most disappointing. Not sure I would use these guys again. And I sure wouldn't tip them for a job not finished.

They moved us in this morning, and I am so incredibly glad I booked professional movers instead of trying to handle my own furniture. Booking our moving time was easy and done over email, and they had the exact time I wanted. They were a few minutes late on moving day, but phoned me in advance to let me know instead of just letting me wait around wondering. Their truck was spotlessly clean, they had all the equipment they needed to load up our stuff, and they wrapped all our furniture securely. They also checked all of our things and alerted us to any damage before moving anything, and nothing was damaged in the slightest when we checked it at the new place. In the middle of packing up the old place, they checked on us and how we felt the move was going - we were happy with everything, but definitely appreciated them checking in. At the new place, there was some trouble getting the couch in the elevator, but they were able to make it work, with no damage to the couch, or the elevator. Everything was handled extremely professionally, and the guys were friendly and easy to work with. Well worth the cost. They made what would be a very stressful day, completely stress-less. I will definitely be using them the next time I move, and will recommend them to anyone I know looking for a mover.

In the past, I have always moved by renting a U-haul truck and hiring a couple of guys by the hour. I thought it seemed cheaper to do it that way, and safer for my stuff, but let me tell you I was wrong! This time, I hired a team of three guys and a truck from Eager Beaver Moving and they were awesome. Firstly, I didn't have to deal with the incompetence of U-haul representatives to whom online booking is a mysterious and rarely successful endeavor. Secondly, the guy driving the truck was not me. I didn't have to worry about driving an unfamiliar and oversized vehicle through the alleyways of Edmonton. Thirdly, the three guys from Eager Beaver didn't stand around wasting time like the people I hired last time through the U-haul app. They moved more stuff in less time - two and a half hours less, to be exact. Fourthly, they wrapped ALL of my furniture securely with moving blankets and treated it all with respect. Last time, with U-haul I had five things get broken or damaged, but with Eager Beaver nothing at all was damaged. Lastly, the guys were super nice. They arrived on time. They were helpful and proactive. They had a cheerful demeanor even when they were working hard. The youngest on the team, Drake, was an extremely thoughtful and careful young man. I was very glad to meet him and I continue to be thankful for his effort. He spent extra energy to make sure my things were carefully wrapped and secure for the move. I sincerely appreciate him. In the long run, moving with Eager Beaver actually saved me about $400.00 and it took less time.

Everything got to our new home in one piece and they left no marks on the walls or the floor. We would give them 7/5 stars if we could, but 5 stars is the highest that Google will allow.

My wife and I were moving from our acreage back to Spruce Grove. We were a little worried about moving again, since our last experience with movers back in 2008 was not a pleasant experience with a different company. I personally always look for any contractor that I may need for certain jobs on HomeStars. When I was looking for movers, I saw that Eager Beavers had a high star score, so we decided to have them move us. Well……. What an experience that was. The three gentleman that showed up were Keegan, Cyril & Nolan. These guys were extremely professional and did all the necessary prep to move our belongings. They were very efficient and packed everything with such great care. Nolan even packed my tower speakers in moving material and a custom box cover because I was not using them at our new location at this time. It was minus 42 degrees Celsius that day which did not help the move, but these guys trudged through it like it was a nice mild spring day. A few of our outdoor items got damaged, but not because of their mishandling, it was just that cold and made it very brittle to move. Not a big deal. The entire move took 11 hours total which is amazing considering it was an hour drive to our acreage from town. We did however get overcharged compared to our quot. It was because they had the bill as four movers when there was only three. Reilly the Sales Manager looked over our contract and he returned the portion of our bill to account for three movers. We were very happy with the way Reilly handled our contract for this move. We will most definitely be using Eager Beavers again for our next move and will recommend them to all our family and friends. We will request Keegan, Cyril & Nolan again also. No one wants to move during a pandemic, but I was tasked with moving my mother out of her seniors facility due to changes in her long-term housing needs! Keegan and his team (Cyril and Vic) were wonderful to work with last month as were all of the administrative staff in the lead up to the date that was selected. My availability right before the holiday meant that these folks accommodated my need for a Sunday move! Belongings were wrapped carefully and the move was efficient especially considering I required 2 locations to deliver items! Keegan was consistent in asking for feedback and happily adapted to small hiccups like moving the truck to an alternate entrance at the request of building staff! They took such care in wrapping and protecting any item that risked being damaged. We just moved into one of other properties while our house is being built. We were referred to Eager Beaver by another moving company we had previously used that was unavailable for the date we required. Referrals are powerful, especially coming from a company that provided superior service (Flex Movers). The booking process and service rep (Darlene) I spoke with at Eager Beaver were exceptional. The estimator was also timely and professional (Riley, I believe). All the information was easy to understand and the payment for deposit was clear. The company, however, fell short with the moving crew I was assigned. As the cost of this service is based on time, I was expecting a prompt and efficient team. Overall, the guys were friendly and professional. I did however get a bad vibe from the lead mover. My first impression was when I pulled up to my house 20 mins into the start time of moving. Two of the movers were on the back of the moving truck having coffee and cigarettes. I didn't say anything, but I could tell they took notice of my arrival. Aside from the poor use of time, I didn't appreciate the smell of smoke. The lead mover seemed to be unaware of the amount of items remaining in the house. I got a sense he was aware of the use of time and assured me that the upstairs furniture was done and it would move quickly. Shortly after that I went upstairs and there was still a number of large solid wood items that hadn't been removed. The lead stayed on the truck and was organizing furniture as it was brought out, but I did overhear him take a call and was saying that this would be the only job he was taking today and he would be done by 2pm. When he saw I could hear him, he abruptly hung up the phone. My overall impression of this lead was that he was lazy. He ordered the younger movers around and seemed to enjoy having higher rank. The guys took a 30 mins lunch and ensured myself and my husband that the time would not be added to our bill. This was ok. When they arrived at our new house, they moved quickly, but there was a couple little slip-ups when one mover bumped his head and the other almost fell. This made me uneasy, worrying about the health and safety of the movers. The lead started to help move some furniture. out of the truck, but was folding blankets, which didn't seem like a task I should have to pay for. Again, I was expecting a quick, efficient team. Overall, the experience wasn't horrible, but I did provide my feedback and displeasure directly to Eager Beaver and was told the Service Manager would follow-up if they could provide a small compensation. I have not heard from them within a month, which has prompted me to write this public review. They even sent a "Rate you Move" email, which I completed with a poor rating, which didn't garner a call back. My experience could have been rectified with a follow-up, but not hearing from anyone was the nail in the coffin. I would NOT recommend this company or use them for future moves.

Eager Beaver completed a move for my father, a senior. For the most part the move went well. The movers were courteous, helpful, and careful with the contents, wrapping it and moving it without damage (except for one plastic globe stand, and they totally came clean about that as soon as they realized what had happened). Started out not so good. Miscommunication on my end and theirs. Were supposed to be at my house to pack and move us at 8 am, didn't show up until 4 pm, however they sent extra crew and had us packed and out of the house in 1 hour and unloaded at new house in about the same time. The staff is very polite, especially Christian. I would highly recommend hiring Eager Beaver for any of your moving needs as they came highly recommended to us. However, just make sure you have confirmation from them before your moving day.

They moved us from Edmonton to Calgary. No doubt moved was on time. My issue was, they damaged one of our side tables, dropped and the drawer broke in half. They glued it back temporarily and noted the damage on the invoice. The mover also assured us that they will fix it or pay us a reasonable amount. Its been 5 months, they keep promising to repair but no ACTION. I will never recommend them. Beware to those thinking of using them. Finally, we are able to settle amicably with a reasonable amount. The delay in the settlement was due to lack of communication. Feel free to use them as they are efficient movers.

*UPDATED* Eager Beaver resolved our issues when they moved our things from storage to our new home, the crew this time had a box for their garbage and took it with them when they left, I am happy to give Eager Beaver Moving a 5* rating I was very happy with the crew that moved us out, it would have been 5 stars, but I did find myself picking up the empty tape rolls after they left. Also 2 step boards on my stairs came off/we're were taken off (they were loose, whoever developed our suite did not do a great job on some things so this was not the fault of the crew) but it would have been nice if they had put them back (or offered beforeto) they left. Otherwise though these guys were great! They showed up when they said they would, they were efficient and took great care with packing our furniture! Would definitely recommend!

This is the second time we've used locally owned Eager Beaver and the experience was just as good - if not better - than the first time. Our moving team - Dan, Eric and Drake - showed up at 829 for an 830 move and didn't waste any time. The guys were polite, positive and happy to do little extras if needed. The move included floor runners and plenty of moving blankets to protect all delicate pieces. The cost was as quoted and the move went very smoothly. I'd use them again in a heart beat.

We used this company to move in 2017. The reason i'm leaving this review is the one my fiance left prior has been removed as they claimed they "did not have a customer by that name" and it was removed. Today I was talking to a co-worker who is moving about movers. This companies name came up. I told him no way. Why you ask? Well obviously the move was that bad that it still stands out in my mind (in 2021). The quote was an easy experience, the gentleman who came out was easy going and honest. I was looking forward to a seamless move. he gave us a quote, I found it to be pretty decent for what it all covered. On moving day...... the truck was late. They couldn't get it to start.... fair enough as it was a cold day and it is Alberta after all. Gave them that one. Truck ended up showing up late (obviously) which put a strain on the people moving us. They started right away, and I thought the worst was behind us. The whole time there was one individual who COMPLAINED. When i say complained, I mean he openly complained about having to do his job. Oh there's too many stairs (a house with a walk out basement), I need my smoke breaks (to his supervisor who was there), standing out on the deck while I was in the master upstairs listening to him talk to someone on the phone about how sh**** his day is, and how he hates moving. Fair enough, I didn't say anything. On the last load they said there was room in the truck, and did we want to add anything on. We chose to since we didn't have the time to move our trampoline yet, and hey, the moving truck was wayy better to do it in than our vehicles. The supervisor (i'm assuming) said sure, no problem guys, and said there was an extra fee, which we were ok with (we ended up asking them to grab the tool boxes too). This same guy started to complain that it was "too late" and he wanted to go home to me every chance he got and not to add anything on. remember, they were about 2 hours late showing up. At this point, id probably give them a 3 because for the most part, it wasn't horrible. Here is where it gets really bad. They broke one of my sons dressers, told me right away. I was annoyed, but at least they told me and i think they didn't charge me for something additional we added on (hey im sure we all damage one thing in a move eh?). Seemed fair. Once they left, and we started unpacking, my daughters dresser had one of the cross member pieces (solid wood dresser) broken. They literally made it so it looked fine, then when you opened the drawer that one drawer would ben that piece and the drawer wouldn't fit. So ok, down to 2 stars. On looking at my daughters bed, they had ripped the fabric on the bottom half of her bed when moving it. The also broke a piece off one of our sons beds, on the bottom, and the only way you would notice is when you took the mattress off. By the end of it, we counted 5 pieces of furniture/items damaged. Not really impressed. overall most dealings with this company were ok, but I would not recommend them to my friends. So now you cant delete this, as it is in my name, and i'm the one you would have in your database.

All was excellent with this company except that not all movers are vaccinated. Because of this they were not allowed in my mother's new apartment to finish the move and we had to wait many hours while they rounded up a vaccinated crew. I also had to request they wear masks in her house (she is 90 years old) which they did without question. In this time, I think masks should be standard (especially when not vaccinated!) - I should not have to ask.

What an outstanding experience we had with this company. We moved from St Albert to Vancouver Island and hired Eager Beavers to load a container (Big Steel Box). The team arrived on time with enthusiasm and energy to get the job done. We haven’t moved in seventeen years and most of what we’ve heard of late is peoples horror stories about the movers they’ve hired, so we were a little apprehensive to say the least. Eager Beaver was recommended to us by family so we crossed our fingers and booked them. From the minute they arrived our fears were laid to rest! We were told they’d arrive by 8:30 and the were right on time. As they jumped out of the truck each immediately set about doing tasks - settings ramps in place, carrying in runners to place on carpets and carrying in moving blankets to wrap all the furniture. Very efficiently co-ordinated - worked like a well oiled machine!! Polite, fast, strong, and did I mention strong , fast and polite!! Wow! Had our 3400 sq. ft. of living space emptied and packed securely before lunch and on the way to the new house an hour away. When they arrived at the new house they carefully unloaded, unwrapped and reassembled our furniture, placed it where we wanted, then moving it once or sometimes twice more to different rooms as we realized somethings weren’t going to fit where we thought. We were at times overwhelmed but they were very patient with us, even offering thoughtful suggestions based on their combined years of experience. And, at the end of the day they still came in under the quoted estimated time - saving us some money! Ryan, Keagan, Ben (aka Thor) and Tyrese were absolutely a pleasure to do business with… We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone and we heartily thank these young men and wish them best!!

We had our moved booked a month in advance. After reading the reviews and testimonials, we narrowed our search to 3 companies. When we had Nelson give us an in house estimate that sealed the deal. The communication leading up to the move was great, including a confirmation email the day before our move. We were convinced we made the right choice. We were scheduled to meet the team at our storage unit between 8:30 and 9:00. When no one showed by 9:30 I contacted our representative (Connie), and was assured she would look into it and get back to me with a revised ETA. When we still didn’t hear anything by 10:00, I once again reached out, and was told she was still looking into it. Shortly after 10:00 she texted me with an ETA of 11:00. This was, in my opinion, a fail in the communication they claim to be so good at, and not a good start. When the Team finally arrived at 11:00 things went smoothly. Leon, John and Junior were quick, courteous and for the most part careful. The late start (2 hours) and the fact that the move took two and a half hours longer that estimated, meant we didn’t finish up until 9:00pm that evening. The crew, to their credit, kept conducting themselves professionally throughout, and even had some skip left in their steps by the end of the day. The team really did save this review from being a 3 star, and it could have easily have been a 5 star, had they not have made us reach out to them (twice) when they were running late. We would, recommend these movers, (we did recommend them to our Realtor) with a caution regarding communication.

Best of all, they charged actual time, so even though it took a bit less than the estimate I was given, they only charged what was used and not the estimate amount.
