I was very happy with CMS for our recent move. They were recommended to us which is one of the reasons I received a quote from them. I received 6 quotes for our move (from larger companies and smaller, local companies) and CMS was by far the more reasonable. They didn't try to charge you for all the "extras" (eg. use of wardrobe boxes, moving mirrors, etc). We had a lot of stuff and so decided to take their flat rate price (first company that had offered me this option). They showed up on time and their movers were great - super efficient, fast and friendly! They moved everything out of our old home in 3 hours! And then unloaded in just under 3 hours (note: we had 2 large trucks FULL of stuff). Now some damages can be expected and there were some minor damages to a few items. CMS was excellent to work with to resolve these issues. They took responsibility and had the items repaired to our satisfaction. We definitely would recommend them (and have already) and will use them again next time!

We hired Canadian Moving Services to move our household belongings to our new home, one week before xmas. Their crew of 3 guys was friendly and really good to work with. They were on time, had a large moving truck, and made easy work of some of the larger heavier pieces of furniture we weren’t sure would move easily. They protected any easily damaged, and sentimental furniture pieces with blankets, and protected the flooring in both homes with flooring mats so they would not get damaged. Boxes were skillfully placed in the truck before furniture was moved in, and we were amazed how well they made everything fit. There was no major damage to anything, and we are very happy with how the move went and the guys we dealt with. We happily recommend Canadian Moving Services to anyone looking for a moving company.

We had the opportunity to witness Canadian Moving Services in action yesterday. They emptied our 2400 sq ft home in 2 hours without a scratch anywhere. Three french movers showed up and did an amazing ballet even with some really heavy stuff. Keep these guys in your back pocket if you want great movers for your clients, their attitude was fantastic as well. They also happened to be the least cost at $159.00/hr. Total cost of the move was less than $900 including travel time and their truck was right full.

Arrived onsite & on time (heard the roar of the moving truck exactly at 0900) Did a quick recce of the area, devised an action plan and began to move items. 4 person team packed, loaded, and stored my contents all within 6 hours (even with a few breaks in between - they all seem to enjoy mango-pineapple smoothies btw). This is my second move with this crew, and will recommend them to anyone without question or doubt.

I booked Canadian Moving Services Inc for my relocation (Edmonton to Calgary). Firstly, I found their price to be extremely competitive in the entire market, they were the cheapest by far. After this, I was blown away by the service Eric V and Jimmy provided. They both took lots of care of my belongings and worked extremely hard. They helped me pack up all my belongings, moved everything themselves and even set up all my furniture at my new place in Calgary. They worked so hard, it got to a point where I told both of them to take a 5 minute break and have a few drinks. *** MISSING ENGAGEMENT (DIAMOND) RING *** * UPDATE: November 28th, 2020 * Contrary to what Canadian Moving Services stated, the move did not go as planned, as a very personal and sentimental item went missing. 2 out of the four movers who were involved in the move took a polygraph test immediately, however the police are still trying to get the others to cooperate. It has been over a year since this incident, and attempts by police to have the other two movers take the polygraph have been unsuccessful (one finally booked an appointment after a year, but was a “no show” for the test, and the other has been ignoring all attempts at contact). At this point, I believe it is a company’s responsibility to take accountability for their employees, and at the very least, ensure that all four movers have taken the polygraph. The company has dragged out this process for over a year, and if their insurance company needs proof, they should be making sure the remaining two movers take the test. I hope that this matter can be resolved soon. * ORIGINAL POST * I chose Canadian Moving Services to help us move from our old house to our new house because of their Google reviews, but I highly regret my decision now. On the moving day, my wedding band and engagement ring were set in a jewelry box (always together) on my counter. I had meant to put it on, but there was a lot going on that day (movers asking me questions, one mover leaving halfway through to be replaced with another, etc.). When we were finally all packed up and everyone was in their cars and moving trucks, one mover ran back into the house alone to get something that he forgot, and we really didn't think anything of it. That night when we were getting settled, I went to get my rings, and only the wedding band was left in the box. I am the type of person who never misplaces things, and to have one half of my rings go missing (especially only the diamond ring), is extremely suspicious. We immediately notified the police and filed a police report. The police said it was a serious enough situation to have the movers take polygraph tests, but after 8 months of waiting (and the police trying repeatedly), only 2 out of the 4 have taken the test. We notified the owner of the company, and it has been difficult dealing with him. As a business owner, I feel that he should get his employees to take the polygraph test to prove one way or another if they took the ring or not. I have waited a few months to write this review to make absolute sure that the ring didn't turn up. We own both houses and have looked everywhere just to be sure, and we are 100% sure that it was taken. I hope in writing this, that everyone does their research and due diligence so that this does not happen again.

With out hesitation Canadian Moving Services jumped to the rescue. They rearranged their schedule and fit us in. They arrived earlier than promised to start off. Fabulous! I cannot say enough good things about this company! If you are looking for a mover search no further! When we decided to move I did a lot of research (as I always do) as to my best bang for my buck as well as quality and service! After looking into a handful of large moving companies I decided on Canadian moving services and we are SO glad we did! Jackie came to our home to give us an estimate; she was so great to deal with and even gave me a garantee the weight would be within 10% of the estimate! The quote received was well below any of the other movers we had research and when I confronted those movers to match or beat their prices they said they can’t even come close!! So I book Canadian movers right away! On moving day 3 guys showed up, they were all professional and efficient, taking apart furniture and wrapping with care. We were so impressed to hear the actual weight was within 50lb of our estimate!! Upon arrival to our destination we had issues getting into our storage area as it was filled with snow and not been plowed! The crew was so professional and understanding in such an annoying circumstance! At the end of the day they even went out of their way to help us out! Eric the driver and his crew were so great and willing to help us out! After the move was completed we noticed a small amount of damage to our freezer. One quick email to Francine and a quote was quickly received to replace the door. We offered to just settled with what was fair in cash and within an afternoon it was settled! Just like that! We were beyond impressed! After a few months we had to plan a move back due to unforeseen circumstances and we did not hesitate to call up Jackie once again to start the moving process and without hesitation they gave us that unreal price once again and even helped us out with a second location pick up! We are so happy with the service we have received with Canadian movers and are recommending them to everyone we know for their up coming moves!

Worst moving company I have ever had. Over charged, slow at packing, broken and lost items. Double the price of major moving company and didn’t care what they wrecked. Stored our stuff in there warehouse and items came broken and lost. Had to seek a civil claim to settle it cause they deny everything. Stay away from this company. They knew they had to pack stuff and even brought the boxes and charged us for them on bill. There was only 4 movers on the last day and it was for 6 hours. No one harassed them when only one person was at home. The Canadian Moving association never said that they did everything right. I will post the bills and there letter to us. It says exactly how many people were there, and the hours. We’re late every morning and left to get fuel so then there was 2, the list goes on. They even deny storing our stuff but yet they did, and it is charged on bill.

I moved my house contents out with some friends and the following day when it came time to move out my garage contents my back was so sore I could barely move. I started calling around the next morning and Eric sent 3 guys 2 hours later and moved the contents out of my old garage and into my new garage in 2 hours! These guys were so fast and I had some heavy stuff in that garage (motorcycle lift, tool box) they had no problem. Would absolutely hire this company again, many thanks for bailing me out! This crew was great!!! They were friendly, hardworking and accommodating. We had a lot of heavy boxes and heavy furniture and they loaded it all on our truck. We were nervous if it would all fit, but they managed to do it. They even disassembled my trampoline and put that on as well!! They crew deserves 5 stars. I left one out because the dispatcher didn't inform them that we needed furniture disassembly and they came without the proper tools. They worked around it until someone dropped them off. All in all, these guys were fantastic and I would absolutely use them again!!!

Not happy with the service, two guys helped us move, one was very nice and treated our belongings with respect. The other (short french guy) was not so respectful, I saw him throwing our stuff and kicking it. We also had damage to a chair and the stair railing in our brand new house. Used Canadian Moving Services for our move into our brand new home. I can not recommend these guys enough! They were absolutely amazing! Professional, polite and FAST! Like, these guys don't need to to go the gym because they work as hard as possible to get your items moved as quickly as possible. Not what I was expecting considering they charge by the hour. Company was recommended by our real estate agent. The movers (Matt and John) were great - they worked fast and worked hard and everything arrived intact. There was a small mix up with billing that I didn't notice until they contacted me. Francine was able to resolve it very quickly. If you're looking for an easy move made convenient & with caring, professional movers, call this compnay. They packed up my whole house quickly & efficiently while I sat on the deck. Unloading at my new home was just as well done. I just had to stay out of the way & direct. I had them pack me up & also unpack. They did this with the utmost attention to detail & no breakage, plus I didn't have any boxes or packaging in new home. Great staff who worked so hard! Thanks guys.

These guys were unbelievably good! Francine helped me every step of the way from figuring out how many boxes I would need to bringing me more when I needed them. And helping me understand how to go about everything as I'd never used movers before. My movers were Herman and Mike, and they were great, too. They were extremely personable and friendly and really quick and efficient. They knew what they were doing and were very gentle with my stuff. I'm seriously impressed with this company and their service ans would absolutely use them again.
